Thank you, Scott Shannon.
Thanks to all of you for being with us.
Here's our toll-free number.
It's 800 941 Sean.
If you'd like to join us this Friday, Linda, here's a test.
What is the number one greatest best story of the day?
And it does have to do with Donald Trump.
That's the only hint I'm going to give you.
Every story about Donald Trump is the best story of the day.
It's a trick question.
No, no, it is not a trick question.
It's not it is in my world.
If Donald Trump is doing something to help our country, it's the best story of the day.
He appointed our friend Alice Marie Johnson to be the pardon czar.
How cool is that idea?
She's an amazing human being.
Couldn't happen to a nicer person.
One conviction, life sentence, and she could have gone to prison and and just been bitter and angry and given up on her life.
She did just the opposite.
She embraced her faith.
She then became a mentor to younger women in prison that were going to get the a second chance and get out of there and helped all of them.
And anyway, you might remember the scene uh when you know, this is she was convicted of life in prison in the 1990s.
It was one nonviolent non nonviolent drug crime.
She sort served 21 years in dr in prison for one.
We have all these illegals, and they, you know, no bail laws.
They're they're they're set free and they never show up for court.
Anyway, 21 years, Trump community sentence.
The pardon came after Johnson devoted her time behind bars to working in prison hospice, volunteered in the prison church, became an ordained minister, started writing and directing plays, and anyway, I just thought it was great.
He he mentioned this during Black History Month at an event at the White House that Johnson was an inspiration and she'll now help decide who gets clemency in his new administration.
You have been an inspiration of people.
We're going to be listening to your recommendations on pardons, and she's gonna be my pardon czar.
And you're gonna find people just like you that this should not have happened to.
He's gonna be great at it.
Um I'm I'm so happy for her.
Uh on another issue, another win for President Trump, federal judge ruling yesterday, the Trump administration can proceed with mass firings of government workers after a lawsuit was brought by five federal uh employee unions.
The judge said that while Trump's aggressive first month has caused disruption, even chaos, uh ultimately, you know.
This by the way, this all f falls under Article Two of the Constitution, as we have gone into great specificity in detail.
You know, the president has the ability to exercise that authority.
And later on, we'll check in with Florida Attorney General uh James Upmeyer.
Uh, because all executive power granted by people of the several states is vested in the president.
The power includes the right to remove executive officials and people deemed unfit to execute his agenda.
Now, uh, you know, you're you're gonna hear from the media, well, so and so was a veteran and got fired from USAID.
This is not their fault.
Just let's be very clear, and I'm sure they're not the problem.
They weren't the decision makers, you know, to spend tens and tens of billions of taxpayer dollars when we have a 37 soon-to-be 40 trillion dollar debt that we're inherited and we're we're trying to get our balance and budget and get spending under control and eliminate waste fraud and abuse.
And there's gonna be some adjustments for people.
The buyout offer, I think was pretty generous.
That if you decide that you want the 75,000 people that took it, you know, will be paid in full for the fiscal year, which ends October one.
This This is the Biden Harris budget that we're still living under.
Um anyway, so the president has all of this authority, just like he has the authority under you know, various constitutional clauses, the supremacy clause for one to go after illegal immigrants and states that are going to resist and aid and abet lawbreakers and give them legal driver's licenses, like in New York, they're going to be facing lawsuits from Attorney General Pam Bondi.
And that's why she has filed that suit against officials and the state of New York and the state of Illinois, and I'm sure there's probably going to be more to come.
Uh, we are watching the Senate move through, you know, what they're trying to do.
It's sort of like a voter rama going on right now, budget reconciliation.
And what you have is the House and Senate budget committees, what they completed kind of setting the table for what the full Senate is addressing and what the House aims to tackle next week, and Congressional Republicans now, uh our friend Chad Pergram had a great piece on this, the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Senate trying to advance Trump's uh Trump's agenda, but they've got to stick together in the Senate.
Republicans have 53 seats, not enough to crack a filibuster on legislation.
The bar there is 60, but there's a way to overcome that obstacle, and that's called budget reconciliation.
I don't want to get too deep in the weeds here, but you're gonna hear that praise a lot.
So I just give you a you know a quick overview of it, and that's how you bypass a filibuster and you pass the bill.
Budget reconciliation, it's a time-honored parliamentary method used by both parties to enact their agenda when they can't vault the filibustered.
Now, Democrats use that to approve Obamacare in 2009 and 10.
Republicans deployed reconciliation to undo Obamacare.
However, Republicans were more successful approving President Trump's tax cuts later that year via reconciliation.
But the issue is you must have a budget in place in order to use reconciliation in the Senate, and the House and Senate must approve the same budget vehicle for reconciliation.
In other words, it has to be the exact same budget vehicle for this to happen.
The Senate has more stringent rules than the House.
So anyway, Republicans, you know, we're struggling, and we reported on this last week, to put together the one big beautiful bill or whether it's going to be two reconciliation bills, and that now they're constructing and approving the legislative structure for this in the budget committee, which is a very heavy lift.
And after six weeks of meetings, House Republicans finally advanced their plan through committee, and it cuts 4.5 trillion in taxes, two trillion in mandatory spending, lifts the debt limit by four trillion.
Republicans specifically designed the measure to make it out of the budget committee and appeal to conservatives.
And you know, they they really have to do this quickly.
This is what New Gingrich is why he's been pushing for the one big beautiful bill so hard, is because at the end of the day, they've inherited a mess internationally.
You see what's what's happening, and we'll talk about this in the next hour about you know, around the world.
This is not going to be an easy fix in Europe.
It's not going to be an easy fix in the Middle East, but the president has no choice.
You deal with the hand you're dealt, not the one you wish you were dealt.
So they've got to move ahead with their plan, and there are priorities that the House wants to get done.
And I think the faster they, especially on the economy, economic issues, it's going to help help get the economy back quicker, and that is good politics, because if anything, if there's one mistake maybe President Reagan made, is he didn't get this his economic plan passed in in good enough time, and it ended up with him losing a lot of seats.
And anyway, so this is what you know what did we elect President Trump for?
To fix the economy, energy dominance to fix the and secure our border, support those people that were unvetted allowed into this country by Biden and Harris, and among other things.
And so those are the top agenda priority items That they're taking up in the House and Senate.
But so the one bill two bill, I don't know how it's gonna, one big beautiful bill, I don't know.
And but it it doesn't really matter if it is one bill two bills in a sense, in one sense, it's how fast they do it.
You know, passing one thing is easier than approving two things in Congress.
But with that said, that's why if they could find a way to put their egos aside and work for us, the American people, and the American people for a lot of those people in Washington, they're only there because of Donald Trump.
And it seems the people that are less willing to accept that they're not going to get 100% of what they want, or people that are in the safest districts, and that then becomes frustrating too, because there are there are people that are in marginal swing districts, and then politically it becomes difficult.
But anyway, this would enable Republicans bypass the filibuster later.
The proposal must be fiscal in nature and uh not add to the deficit over a 10-year period.
Uh that's part of the rule also, so it gets marked up at a pretty good level.
I kind of like that rule.
It keeps them on us uh honest to some degree.
And anyway, so the key phrase in all of this is the president's agenda.
You know, I said House Republicans writing their bill appealed to conservatives on the budget committee.
No, it's but not everybody's gonna get what they want.
They're just not.
And then we have to factor in.
There's an unknown number out there, well, two unknown numbers.
We don't know how much we're gonna find in waste fraud abuse and corruption that we can save, number one.
Number two, we don't know how quickly we can unleash America's energy dominance.
And although the president did do it rather quickly in his first term.
So it'll be interesting to see.
The Senate will do their thing.
If the House does pass the one bill and get to 218 and send it to the Senate, you know, Mark Wayne Mullen said we can get 51 votes on that.
I'm just not sure they can do it.
So, you know, he then he characterize the House approach as having all our eggs in one basket.
And I think in the end, if you want to know how I think this is going to play out, the person that is going to push it over the top is going to be President Trump himself by getting these people to put their egos aside and put his agenda at the forefront, which is going to be good for the country.
And that's what they should be.
They're supposed to be our public servants, right?
That's what we should want for them.
The House Speaker, Mike Johnson said to CPAC that he promised to secure the border, prevent the Trump tax cuts from expiring, boost energy production, and take a blowtorch to the regulatory states.
He said Elon is is right over the target, and we're going to codify so much of what he's doing so that the next team can't unwind it.
I brought that up with President Trump and Elon Musk this week.
The president warns Maine officials that they'll lose federal funding if they keep allowing men to play on women's sports teams.
This is what we're going to talk with to James Udmire, the new attorney general of Florida about how states could actually help advance the Trump agenda.
Um we'll get into this this battle of negotiations as it relates to Ukraine.
And what a sad, I mean, what a sad, sad state of affairs.
I mean, how heartbreaking was it yesterday.
A mother, two babies, you know, taken hostage October 7th, dead.
And then you see cheering, Hamas terrorists.
The only the only thing that I heard out of this that I wanted to hear was the prime minister.
And I've known Bibi Netanyahu for 30 years.
And I'll tell you, you know, he says we are all outraged by these Hamas monsters.
He said the voice of our dear ones blood is crying out to us from the ground, and it requires us to settle accounts with the depraved murderers, and we will settle the score with them.
Now, two things that the U.S. did, interesting things to take note of, is one the bunker buster bombs that probably would be needed by Israel to take out Iranian nuclear sites, they've been delivered.
Number Two, I think the timing is uh not by accident, but our military successfully launched an unarmed ICBM intercontinental uh ballistic missile in Southern California to show U.S. nuclear capability.
You think that was an accident?
I don't think so.
I don't think so.
I think it's just a reminder to America's enemies.
Yeah, Joe Biden was weak, and we have a new sheriff in town.
Hey there.
I'm Mary Catherine Hamm.
And I'm Carol Markowitz.
We've been in political media for a long time.
Long enough to know that it's gotten, well, a little insane.
That's why we started normally a podcast for people who are over the hysteria and just want clarity.
We talk about the issues that actually matter to the country without panic, without yelling, and with a healthy dose of humor.
We don't take ourselves too seriously, but we do take the truth seriously.
So if you're into common sense, sanity, and some occasional SAS.
You're our kind of people.
Catch new episodes of Normally every Tuesday and Thursday on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen.
Why do you hear the beat down that Donald Trump just gave the governor of Maine over this issue?
Um he reads of the riot act after the governor, you know, of the state of Maine defying his executive order to ban men from playing women's sports.
And we've got the tape.
It just came in, so we'll play that for you coming up in a minute here.
Congressional Republicans, by the way, move to pull the U.S. out of the U.N. on Mike Senator Mike Lee.
I'm not sure if there's going to be enough people, is pushing it in the Senate.
Marsha Blackburn is co-sponsoring it.
In the House, Congressman Chip Roy is poised to introduce the measure.
You know, we pay seven billion dollars, and they historically have been so virulently anti-Semitic and anti-American.
I don't even know why we bother.
All these, you know, international organizations, the WEF, WHO, President Trump's pulling us out of them one by one.
Paris Accords, we pay the freight, China and India are developing nations.
We're so stupid to do that.
We're so stupid to do that.
You can't always believe what the other side claims.
That's why there's the Shaw and Hannity Show.
All right, 25 now till the top of the hour, 800 941 Sean, if you want to be a part of the program.
Uh there's a friend of mine that runs a moving company that basically runs from New York to Florida.
But they do other work too.
It's called Blue Line Moving.
And obviously big supporters of law enforcement and the police.
And uh anyway, a friend of mine, John runs the company.
He's a great guy, and he's got a movement that is going on today and tomorrow, and it's Make America Clean Again.
And it's at the southern border, and it's happening today.
Is it today today and tomorrow or just today?
It's today and tomorrow.
Today and tomorrow.
Oh, I thought so.
Okay.
And anyway, the bottom line is they're asking people to clean up help clean up the southern border, volunteer.
Just if you want to, and bring work clothes and work boots and fans and some source of water, bring some water.
And it's more than just a cleanup, they're standing together.
Aren't they offering free haircuts and and all sorts of other stuff to people like border patrol agents and everything?
If if you're a member of the law enforcement, the border patrol, uh, if you're ex-military, current military serving, if you're there on the border serving, uh, they're gonna give you free BBQ, they're gonna give you free haircuts.
Um, they're just there to help and just to give these guys who are doing such an important job a little bit of a little bit of give back.
Yeah, that's pretty awesome.
Anyway, if you're interested, uh we'll put it up on Hannity.com and on our social media, and you can uh take a look at it.
Uh, this is just epic Trump.
This really is.
So uh President Trump and the main governor, Janet Mills, uh, were together when he was signing his executive order banning biological males from competing in women's sports.
Anyway, during a meeting Friday between the president and a bar bipartisan group of governors at the White House, the president warned Ms. Mills, a Democrat when she said, because in Maine, they're continuing this.
Now, I I just got done explaining this.
Okay, you want to go against what is the president of the United States who has complete full Article II jurisdiction, that's fine.
And the president announced that he's going to cut off federal funding to the state of Maine if they continue to defy his executive order.
Here's how it went down.
The NCAA has complied immediately, by the way, that's good.
But I understand Maine.
Is it Maine here, the governor of Maine?
Are you uh not going to comply with it?
I'm complying with state and federal laws.
Well, I'm we are the federal law.
Well, you better do it.
You better do it because you're not going to get any federal funding at all if you don't.
And by the way, your population, even though it's liberal, although I did very well there, uh, your population doesn't want men playing in women's sports.
So you better come you better comply because otherwise you're not getting any any federal funding.
See what I'm saying.
Every state good, I'll see you in court.
I look forward to that.
That should be a real easy one.
And enjoy your life after governor, because I don't think you'll be an elected politics.
Ouch.
That was awesome.
That was so good.
That was epic.
Um, and you know what?
The president's right.
And I I don't even think in Maine, and Maine is pretty liberal.
I don't think even in Maine, the people of Maine want biological men playing in women's sports.
And and again, this goes back to the argument that we've been making that if if this is these the hills that the left in America wants to die on.
They want to be the party that is defending the right of men to play in women's sports and taxpayer funded sex change operations, and you know, funding, you know, free housing, food, uh, health care, education,
and even college education if Tim Walls has his way for illegal immigrants, and then putting the rights of illegal immigrants over the safety of American citizens after Biden and Harris allowed in known terrorists, murderers, rapists, cartel members, and gang members.
If this is this is their agenda, I'm perfectly fine with them staying there.
And I really don't see you know any hope for them.
I actually thought James Carvel would be more reasonable because he's been somewhat critical, but he's like, Wow, yeah, the word approval rate no, he does everything he says, it's like I'm in a box when I'm in a situation like that.
People say, Why don't you why don't you you know interrupt him more?
And I'm like, I'd love to interrupt him more, but you know, those only as soon as I start interrupting, they're not gonna get a million emails.
Linda, true or false.
You know, why does Sean keep interrupting?
Let the guests speak.
I let the guy speak a little bit, and then people get mad at me.
You know, it's one of those you can't win for losing, although I think I think James is losing his fastball in this one.
I really do.
Who's yelling at you?
Who's yelling at you for letting him talk?
Well, I mean, it's like you can't win for losing, is what I'm saying.
Because I want to interrupt.
You know, like for example, he said, this president's starting at the lowest approval rating ever.
Look, go look at the real clear advertising.
Well, I and then I quoted specific polls, CBS.
Trump had a 54% approval rating.
And I didn't remember.
I knew it was in the 50s.
I didn't remember that exact one.
Or Trafalgar, an insider advantage, R polsters, Matt Towery and Robert Cayley, 54%.
Or Rasmussen at 56%, or RMG Research of 57%, or Qantas Insights at 54%, or CBS Ugov, I'm sorry, not fifty, it's 53%.
I said 50 said that's in the 40s.
No, he was wrong.
Um, and it goes McLaughlin 52 percent, morning console 52 percent.
You know, and then on issues which I brought up, but it's just it just gets obnoxious.
And then, you know, Carvel says he's created the biggest deficit in the history of the presidency.
Well, I actually went back to the congressional budget office and I looked uh in no for the Trump years, including 2020, which was he only had deficits of six hundred and fifty-five billion, seven hundred and seventy-nine billion, nine hundred and eighty-three billion.
Yeah, I don't want any deficit.
And then because of COVID, when the country shut down, it was three point one three trillion.
That is that would be understandable.
But in and Joe Biden followed up in 2021 with 2 million and 2.77 trillion dollars.
And then it goes, you know, 1.37, 1.69.
So 7 trillion and to the Trump's over 7.5 trillion to Trump's $5 trillion.
And it just is unbelievable.
And I see that uh the New York Times is trying to rehabilitate George Clooney's political chops after his disastrous, you know, part.
He claims that he didn't talk to Obama.
I don't believe it for a second because I know they're close friends.
I just personally have no evidence of it.
Just my gut, what I believe.
Remember, he wrote that I'm a I'm an actor, I'm a director, I'm a film producer.
Who cares?
I'm a lifelong Democrat.
I make no apologies.
I'm proud of what my party represents, what it stands for.
Fine.
You be the party of open borders.
You'd be the party of no fracking, no drilling.
You'd be the party of taxpayer-funded sex change operations.
You'd be the party of gender-affirming care without parental consent.
You'd be the party of men playing women's sports.
You'd be the party of putting the rights of illegals over the safety of Americans.
You go be that party.
And that's the that's the New York Times op-ed that he wrote that said, I love Joe Biden.
I consider him a friend, but uh one cannot win this fight against time.
None of us can.
It's devastating to say it, but Joe Biden that I was with three weeks ago at a fundraiser was not the big effing deal Biden of 2010.
He wasn't even the Biden of 2020.
He was the same man we all witnessed at the debate.
Now, I think if if if we ever got to the truth, and maybe one day it'll be told, I have a very different strong belief that it was a coalition of a number of people that that pushed Biden into that debate at that time and then pushed him out of the way.
Now cool now Clooney's trying to accuse the media of dropping the ball.
Uh well, you should be why I should have been watching my show because I was showing video of him in 2020 with cognitive decline, massive cognitive decline.
You know, so he's he goes to Maureen Dowd over at the New York Times and is trying to rehabilitate that that drastic error.
You know, much like Carvel saying last night, oh, we picked our seven string quarterback.
What do you that's not what you were saying in your op-ed?
Because three reasons why I'm certain that Kamala's gonna win.
It's it's they just can't get it wrong, and they keep condemning everything that Trump says.
It's I mean, it's guys like John Stewart that's being honest, and I give him credit for intellectual honesty, and I know he hates my guts, but he's honest.
And he's saying, you know what?
You you're running gonna run out of fascist bullets every time you call fascist Hitler, Mussolini, and you know what, it's it people get numb to this.
And he was being serious when he said it.
It was not him joking around.
Um Adam Schiff has already begun Trump has put the U.S. in a constitutional crisis.
Everything's a constitutional crisis.
Well, it's easy for him to say when he spoke out against preemptive pardons when it was a possibility when Trump was leaving office and then accepted one when Biden left office.
And then now the vice chair of the DNC, remember David Hogue.
Is that how you're gonna say his name?
Hog or Hogue?
I don't remember.
Anyway, hog, okay.
He pins an inspirational message on X. This is the number two at the DNC.
The number one is a radical left of Kamala Harris, you know, statist, Marxist, socialist, democratic, radical.
That's it.
Hog number two, F. Donald Trump, F. Elon Musk, F the Federalist Society, judges who enable him.
That's very inspiring.
And that's where the left is today.
And, you know, so as we watch all this unfold, just understand this is the same predictable thing that you would always expect from the left.
I actually thought Carvel, I have I look, Bill Clinton, we played the tape of him saying, and Al Gore saying, and a Barack Obama, we're gonna cut out waste fraud and abuse, they didn't do it.
I can tell you right now, 43 trend now.
That ain't nothing.
That 43 billion dollars.
That's one.
I can deal with that.
Well, he's only talking about USAID.
And as Elon Musk said to us this week, that's only one percent of what they're finding.
They're finding in every government agency.
And it's like the more things change, the more they stay the same.
Or on fake news CNN.
This talk show host, what's his name?
Joe Walsh.
Donald Trump is saying everything Putin would say.
He could be a plant.
He could be a Russian asset.
I'm like, oh, we're back to that.
And CBS goes woke with a segment defending DEI as popular.
These people are living in a bubble, a media bubble.
I call the state-run legacy media mob or the blue check mark cult as I used to call them.
And ABC News among the hardest hit when devastating fires tore through Los Angeles in Jan January were transgender and non-binary residents.
Didn't it affect every homeowner equally?
Why would that be a factor?
Washington Post, long lines and canceled rentals, firings bringing chaos, the national barks.
I mean, they are just trying to sky is falling everything.
And I just Stephen King returning to X, hurling insults at Donald Trump and Elon Musk after vowing to leave the toxic platform because it was so addicting he couldn't leave it.
And, you know, one of the things that I think we did accomplish this week was pointing out how the amazing things Elon Musk is doing for humanity, things that you would think that liberal Democrats would like, but apparently not.
Anyway, let me get back to uh, well, here's another example.
New York City judge released a career criminal.
Then this goes to the appointment of our friend Alice Marie Johnson as the border uh as the pardons are.
Uh, you know, here's a career criminal charged with slugging a female NYPD officer, cut loose in October after a judge lowered the bell.
Now he's been charged in another assault, a random attack on a woman in Times Square.
And anyway, the Ernst Delma, repeat offender on parole in New Jersey on a New Jersey arrest, made headlines when he was charged with punching a cop in a shocking caught on video attack.
This is after a string of arrests and a rap sheet, was able to post bail, you know, when the judge clipped it from $200,000 to $80,000, which meant he only needed to come up with $8,000 to end up back out on the street.
So nobody should be surprised that he did it again.
Walking up to a woman in her 50s in Times Square and punching her in the face in what cops said was an unprovoked attack attack.
Nobody should be surprised that a dangerous repeat offender who attacked a police officer in full uniform would turn around and attack a defenseless New Yorker, according to the PBA president Patrick Henry.
Why would you be surprised at that?
Um, but these are the times we live in.
And again, if this is what the Democrats want, then that this is their agenda, then let them move forward with it.
By the way, Pam Bondi fired the top ATF official as the Trump administration continues to gut Biden holdovers throughout government.
These are people that will only stay there and undermine what Donald Trump sets out to do, and what he was elected to do, and what he was empowered by the American people to do.
They also are set to get rid of a notorious liberal general in the defense department.
Uh the president announced the Kobe Bryant, Muhammad Ali, and Jackie Robinson statues uh for the National Garden of American Heroes, which I think is pretty cool.
And anyway, they um he revealed the Kobe Bryant Muhammad Ali, Jackie Robinson will all be represented with statues in the garden.
Uh, in addition, he mentioned Martin Luther King Jr., Harriet Tubman, Rosa Parks, Billy Holiday, Aretha Franklin, Coretta Scott King, Fred Liz Douglas, uh Frederick Douglass will be there.
And the National Guard of American Heroes was unveiled by Trump in 2020, dedicated to celebrating heroic figures in American history.
Oh, I thought he was a racist and a fascist and a Nazi and Hitler and Stalin and Mussolini.
Unbelievable times we live in.
800 941 Sean is a number.
You want to be a part of the program.
Listen, uh, we see what's happening with Israel.
We're going to talk about this a little bit more in the next hour.
Prime Minister Netanyahu, everybody with a heart, soul, and a conscience was outraged at the scenes we saw unfolding yesterday, the cheering of uh of the crowds when coffins of of dead hostages, including a mother and two children, were you know paraded around Gaza.
It's just disgusting.
Uh BB said we're all outraged by the Hamas monsters.
It requires us to settle accounts with the depraved murderers, and we will settle those accounts with them.
And he's right.
This is what Israel's been dealing with.
This is why you have tens and tens of thousands of people in need of humanitarian assistance, food, water, shelter, medicines, you name it, and whatever you can do to help the IFCJ, they're on the ground every day helping the people in need.
And that means they're helping uh people from these war-torn areas and evacuees and refugees and first responders and volunteers and wounded soldiers, even elderly Holocaust survivors.
Whatever you can give is desperately needed.
Let's help them in their battle against radical Islamists.
And you can go to their website, support IFCJ.org.
One word support IFCJ.org, or you can call 888-488-IFCJ.
