Counter-Offensive to Spending Cuts - February 11th, Hour 1
"Senate Democrats have a responsibility to fight back [spending cuts] on behalf of all Americans," says Senator Schumer... why is it likely that most of the money being cut might be tied to special interests? Why are Democrats fighting so hard against the responsible thing to do?!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

All right.
Thank you, Scott Channel.
Thanks to all of you for being with us.
Write down our toll-free telephone number if you want to be a part of the program.
We're going to start the show a little differently today.
And this is just like the last 30 hours, Democrats melting down over Elon Musk and Doge, starting with Maxine Waters and Elizabeth Warren.
And this is the amazing part of this.
And I want you to think about this.
And with without being too repetitive, but I don't think people are really explaining in the in specificity and detail, you know, how much how much money in waste, fraud, and abuse that Doge and Elon Musk are finding.
Department of Agriculture terminating 18 contracts, millions of dollars, including contracts for Central American Gender Assessment Consultant Services, Brazil Forest Gender Consultant Services, Women in the Forest Carbon Initiative Mentorship Program.
I mean, you can't make any of this stuff up.
You know, there were 29 DEI training grants totaling 1 million dollars at the Department of Education to train teachers to help students understands and integrate the complex histories involved in oppression and help students recognize areas of privilege and power on an individual and collective basis.
The Department of Education, 89 contracts worth $881 million.
And we're talking about a billion taxpayer dollars here.
And that's your money.
And I'm I'm just telling you that this that's an insane amount of money.
Insane.
Anyway, and you know, to observe mailing and clerical operations at a mail center.
This the average American makes $67,000 a year.
And why are these people melting down?
Why are they melting down over this?
You know, with $250 million contract, 350 agencies, you know, for Asia Pacific, Sri Lanka climate change mitigation, adaptation, resilience coordination for services for forest service.
Why don't we take care of the forest out in California?
A workshop for intercultural communication, diversity, dialogue, circle, communicating across differences, the Department of Education, you know, DEI training grants totaling another 15 million.
HHS 62 contracts worth 182 million dollars.
That included the museum, you know, for Anthony Fauci, NASA, 500 grand on political subscriptions was canceled.
Why are they spending money on if somebody wants a political subscription?
Let them buy their own.
Fox doesn't buy me any subscriptions.
I buy my own.
I don't even have a free subscription to Fox Nation.
I have my own subscription to Fox Nation.
Um State Department leadership has verified millions to the AP.
I mean, why are we paying for that?
I mean, this is a waste of your money.
This is this is money that's not being spent on American schools.
45 million DEI scholarships in Burma been canceled.
784 million dollars taxpayers for U.S. Embassy in South Sudan, initiated in 2023.
145 million in savings because of contracts, the Department of Labor Transportation, Agriculture, Commerce, Health and Human Services, and the Treasury Department.
I mean, and then and I go back to my beginning list, which is, you know, 15 pages long.
20 million Sesame Street show in Iraq, 56 million to boost Egyptian Tunisia tourism.
I want you to think about that as you listen to this.
This is now where the Democrats, the radical left, has decided to draw their line in the sand.
And this is what this is what this party stands for.
With maybe the exception of John Fetterman and James Carvel and the likes of David Axelrod and Rama Manuel.
And then look at what the party elected as the two top leaders of the DNC moving forward.
They're to the left of Kamala Harris.
And if they think that this is this is the agenda the American people want, tell me if you think this is going to work.
Because all of this money is being spent abroad.
It's being spent on the Green New Deal and environmental initiatives.
It's being spent on DEI programs.
It's being spent on wokeism, transgender ism, LGBTQ plusm.
And this is what I I guess they think the American people want.
Elon Musk, where are you?
Bring your ass over here so you can see who's here.
This is like a bank robber trying to fire the cops and turn off the alarms just before he strolls the lobby.
We are here to fight back.
That is what they are doing.
They are dismantling the federal government, which will deny the American people, the services and the resources that allow them to help to raise their families, have a secure economy, and a secure future for themselves.
Every time you hear Doge, the Department of Government efficiency, you just remember it is the Department of Government evil.
Over.
This is thievery.
This is gangsterism.
We're going to shut down Elon Musk's illegal operation.
So we will see you in Congress and the courts and in the streets.
So Donald Trump, what does that say about you?
You don't have power, but we have people power.
And we're coming after you.
We're coming after you with our people power.
The way I see it, this is not a recipe for government efficiency.
This is a recipe for corruption by the Doge boys and this government and this Trump administration.
This is the fight that they want to pick.
Now it gets even worse as we move forward.
Under Biden, the USAID sent 122 million dollars to radical terrorist groups.
This was on Fox News.com.
The Middle East Forum's multi-year study said USAID and the State Department spending has uncovered 164 million of approved grants to radical organizations with at least 122 million going to groups aligned with designated terrorists and their supporters,
billions of more federal dollars have been given to leading American aid charities, which have consistently failed to vet their terror-tied local partners and show little interest in improving their practices to the apparent indifference of the federal government.
And among the Mid East Forum's top findings, USAID uh, you know, has given more than 900,000 to a Gaza-based terror charity.
I mean, you would think people care.
Now, if they're the Democrats, as I told you yesterday, they can they can scream all they want about bank robbery, but the only people being robbed are the American taxpayers in this.
They can call it the Department of Government evil.
They can hate Elon Musk, uh, who's doing this, and as is every doge employee for free.
They can call it thievery, but that they're the thieves and gangsterism, they're the gangsters that are losing their power and and and lashing out after all of this, and they can threaten the president and Elon and they're coming after you.
I mean, they literally was this pastor, some guy from Tennessee by Steve Cottle is his name, suggesting that that violence against Elon is somehow justified because they don't like what Elana is doing, and all the Elon and Doge are doing is they're cutting out reckless spending,
robbery, thievery, if you will, of our kids and our grandkids and our own futures, and and money that can be spent on our schools, law and order, uh, money that can be spent to you know assure up Social Security and Medicare headed towards insolvency.
It could be used for the next generation of warfare in a very ugly and dangerous world.
But, you know, why focus on those things?
Listen to this preacher.
And in this nation, I'm worried that we are on the verge of bloodshed.
Uh, this is a an attempt to take us back to a day that we do not want to go and we will not go.
Therefore, there will be conflict.
I pray that the peace of God will win out and overcome the madness that is attempting to take over this nation.
And I will say to you, beloved, no one likes violence.
But sometimes violence is necessary.
When Elon Musk forces his way into the United States treasury and threatens to steal your personal information and your social security check, there is a possibility of violence.
Sometimes the devil will act so ugly that you have no other choice but to get violent and fight.
Well, someone might say now, Reverend, you know you you shouldn't be talking about violence.
This isn't the Christian thing to do.
Well, I will say, why not talk this way?
Because Jesus did.
Jesus said in this king, this key verse, didn't he?
The kingdom of heaven suffers what?
Violence.
And the who?
The violent take it by force.
The kingdom of God is a war zone.
It is a battlefield.
You did know this, right?
Uh, I guess forget about those, you know, uh lines in the Bible about turn the other cheek and forgive us as we forgive and forgive people 70 times seven.
You know, forget those those verses.
Uh, frankly, this pastor deserves a meet a meeting and and frankly a visit from the Secret Service after making what I think is a threat of violence and encouraging others to violence against Elon Musk.
I mean, and and he's doing all of this for free, as is everybody else.
And he's saving all of you hard-earned money.
You know, this will end up being hundreds and hundreds of billions of dollars when all is said and done.
They've already found tens of billions of dollars in waste, fraud, abuse, and this is nothing but corruption.
But this is the hill that the Democratic Party wants to die on.
Now, they've been advised by people like Axelrod to let it go because Axelrod's smart enough to understand the American people want no part of this.
And I see that, you know, there's an article out there today that, you know, apparently Elon Musk, although there I just saw a poll, an early poll that will be released, that Elon Musk's popularity is much higher than what the media is saying.
And I think as more and more Americans become familiar with what he's actually doing, they're going to support what he's doing.
Uh, California leads the U.S. in electric vehicle sales.
And, you know, in 2024, EV sales were of all non-Tesla brands were 1.4% of the state.
Tesla sales declined apparently a little bit.
You know, so I guess you know he may be paying a price financially.
You know, he's certainly not benefiting from this.
And you know, we're just discovering designated terrorists and extreme groups are raking in millions from a USAID.
And, you know, the funding for these these terror tide groups and those groups with internal hostility towards Israel goes back for years.
You know, they found since, you know, the year what some terror tide funding initiatives are publicly known.
2022, USAID awarded 100 grand to a Palestinian activist group whose leader held the Popular Front Liberation of Palestine, a designated terrorist organization.
Why would one U.S. penny ever go to any of these radicalized groups?
It's pretty unbelievable.
And this apparently has been happening all throughout, you know, the the Biden and Harris presidency and vice presidency.
Doge uncovered 2.3 million dollars of a program training soldiers to speak and act in a DEI-friendly way.
most of you even know what the hell that means?
And then after the president's executive order, now we find out that Doge discovered that FEMA spent 59 million dollars last week continuing to house illegal immigrants in luxury hotels in New York City.
And he said sending this money is a clear violation of law, a gross insubordination of the president's executive order.
Uh Musk writes on X, and Doge is now focusing on millions in migrant hotel bills.
And by the way, uh Christy Gnome is these four FEMA employees have been fired over their egregious payments in light of the president's you know new policy.
And the judge, a judge has extended a restraining order to ban the Trump administration buyout offer to federal workers, and that's a temporary restraining offer.
I I I do believe that our friend Alan Dershowitz is right in predicting many of these court injunctions because now what Democrats can't get done at the ballot box or legislatively, they're going to try and use the courts to do.
But this is now groundbreaking as tens of thousands of employees are being fired and let go and and given a payout to get out of the way.
I think that's transformational.
We're reducing the size, the scope, the impact, the waste, the fraud, the abuse, everything that conservatives have been preaching about for decades is now happening before our very eyes.
Hey there.
I'm Mary Catherine Hamm.
And I'm Carol Markovitz.
We've been in political media for a long time.
Long enough to know that it's gotten, well, a little insane.
That's why we started normally a podcast for people who are over the hysteria and just want clarity.
We talk about the issues that actually matter to the country without panic, without yelling, and with a healthy dose of humor.
We don't take ourselves too seriously, but we do take the truth seriously.
So if you're into common sense, sanity, and some occasional SAS.
You're our kind of people.
Catch new episodes of Normally every Tuesday and Thursday on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen.
Um it's so interesting, isn't it?
The way DC spendocrats, you know, Schumer, Chris Murphy, you know, Maxi Waters, Elizabeth Warren, you know, that this is this is the hill they want to die on, you know, because Doge is is finding billions of of dollars in waste fraud and abuse spent on their left-wing radicalism internationally, not even for the American people.
Among the many things, they cancel the $17 million project to provide tax policy advice to Liberia.
Why would we be pro spending that money when American schools need help and Americans need more police officers and firefighters?
And America, you know needs uh I mean, we we need we need infrastructure building in this country.
We need jobs created here.
I mean, could you imagine when we finally get the the tens and hundreds of billions of dollars added up in waste fraud abuse and corruption?
You know, I wonder how much every American how much if we split that money evenly, how much money they'd be able to cut a check to every American for?
Or let's say, how about every American that makes under a hundred thousand dollars a year?
What if they cut the check to them and and maybe ease a little of the pressure that so many Americans have been suffering under because of Biden Harris and Blaccia?
Anyway, Doge continues to tally up major wins for you know hardworking Americans and and taxpayers and their audits of the federal government and you know, all this DEI, Green New Deal, woke, transgender, LGBTQ money.
I mean, it's insane.
And meanwhile, we can't even rescue astronauts that are lost in space.
It's, you know, Democrats now are talking about taking to the streets.
The the only and Chucky Schumer's out there announcing a counter offensive against this spending.
I mean, they want to f they're fighting to keep this spending going.
And you have to ask why.
Senate Democrats have a responsibility to fight back on behalf of American families.
American families don't benefit from all this waste Fraud and abuse and corruption.
The only people that benefit are these foreign countries, many of which, by the way, have terror ties and hate our guts.
And number two, the only other people that benefit are the Senate Democrats and Congressional Democrats because that's how they get their power base.
And why do I suspect really deeply in my gut, you know, that a lot of this money, we're going to find out the people responsible for allocating the monies and insisting and fighting for monies to be allocated.
Why do I suspect that there might be other interests that they may have that are unbeknownst to us at this moment?
I'm just saying, just my gut.
Anyway, Democrats are just out of control.
They have they're so out of touch with the American people.
And this is this is where they have now settled.
This is what they've settled in on.
They want to call Trump every name in the book and attack.
They want to fight for men to play in women's sports.
They want to stand up for people that didn't respect our borders or our laws and our sovereignty, and they want to spend, you know, tens and hundreds of billions of dollars on their radicalism.
And, you know, now they're rallying against Elon Musk.
Hands off our Social Security.
Nobody's taking away your Social Security.
They just flat out lie.
That left-wing pastor.
You know, we're on the verge of bloodshed.
Really?
Okay.
No one likes violence, but sometimes violence is necessary.
Really?
And then he goes on with propaganda that he's forcing his way into the U.S. Treasury.
He's not forcing his way in.
Donald Trump gave him access to it.
He's the duly elected president of our country.
And stealing your personal information.
They're not looking for your personal information.
They're looking for how your hard-earned money is spent.
And nobody's looking to take your Social Security check.
And he says sometimes the devil will get act so ugly, you have no other choice but to get violent and fight.
Okay, what does that mean?
Are you threatening violence against Elon Musk?
Because it sounds like it.
You know, the crazy left, you know, this guy that was uh has been accused of killing you uh United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson.
And not only is he getting all the support online, now he got nearly $300,000 in donations for his criminal defense.
And Democrats are just in this complete meltdown about Doge, Chris Murphy literally says this is we're staring at the death of democracy.
We're not staring at the death of democracy.
We're staring at big government overreach, waste fraud, and abuse going away.
That's what we're staring at.
And to me, that's a good thing.
To me, that's a win for the American people.
For me, that's that's a victory for the American people.
But that's not how they see it.
And, you know, as we get deeper and deeper into this, you know, we we just see the level of corruption.
We we we have not even tapped, you know, 10% of government waste fraud and abuse.
This is only gonna get bigger and bigger and bigger.
Now I doubt that the media is gonna point out that how many of you people have heard of the name Mark Fogle?
Did you know that Mark Fogle was an American hostage, an American teacher, taken by uh hostage by Russia during the first months of the Biden administration?
Yeah, he's now been released as a result of the efforts of President Trump and his team of negotiators.
Anyway, after 10 days of Trump negotiations, he secured the release of six Americans held in hostage in Venezuela.
Anyway, Steve Whitkoff and Donald Trump were able to announce that he's leaving Russian airspace with Mark Fogle, an American detained by Russia, according to Mike Waltz, National Security Advisor.
President Trump, Steve Whitkop, the president's advisors, negotiated an exchange that serves as a show of good faith from the Russians and a sign that we are moving in the right direction to end the brutal and terrible war in Ukraine.
I mean, what criticism are they gonna criticize them for that next?
One in five Democrats now saying Donald Trump is doing a good job.
That's gotta that's gotta crush them.
Google has now officially changed The name of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America.
I guess that's the power of Trump.
It really is in every way, shape, manner, and form.
President Trump removed more than a dozen Joe Biden appointed uh board members at the JFK Senator Center for Performing Arts, including former Biden press secretary propagandist Karin Jean Pierre.
Um, you know, the a lot of people are trying to figure out what Donald Trump is doing here, and I'm I'm having a hard time understanding why they don't understand it.
Because this is everything, even as the CBS poll recognized, 70% of respondents recognize Trump is just can't keeping his campaign promises.
Now the FBI uncovered thousands of undisclosed records connected to JFK's assassination.
Now, O'Reilly doesn't think there's going to be much to it.
And okay, he writes all these books, killing Kennedy, killing Lincoln, killing Reagan, all that sort of thing, or you know, whatever, killing Jesus, not Reagan.
And so he spends a lot of time researching it.
He doesn't think they're going to find anything with RFK, JFK, or MLK.
I'm not so sure.
I'm I'm hoping that we might learn.
There's got to be a reason.
You know, since the early 60s that they've been keeping this information under wraps in the and the late 60s.
There's got to be a reason.
Because it makes no sense that this information has not been made public.
Well, it turns out Axios reported that the FBI released 2,400 new records tied to the assassination of JFK, which were not provided to the board that reviewed and disclosed the files.
And when the Office of the Director of National Intelligence submitted it its plan to release the JFK files, it reportedly disclosed the existence of the records.
Anyway, Fox News has confirmed with a person familiar with the records that the files were uncovered during the review.
They didn't even know they existed.
I don't know.
Something's something's fishy here.
I will say this.
It is a sad thing that you can go online and Google JFK and see autopsy photo pictures.
I don't know who released that back in the day.
That that would to me would be an issue of family privacy.
I mean, it's terrible what you see.
You literally see the back of his head shot off and brain matter falling out and a hole in his throat.
It's just awful.
Um, so I don't know what these undisclosed records are, but we'll find out in the days to come.
Um as I said, you know, there is speculative.
Well, why did Donald Trump leave the Super Bowl before the fourth quarter?
Well, it was on his schedule to leave at 8 05, and it wasn't because the Chiefs were losing.
It wasn't because he was afraid he'd run into Taylor Swift.
It wasn't because, you know, he the game was a blowout.
It had nothing to do with any of those things, except it had to do, it was part of a very elaborate logistical operation that allowed Trump to become the first sitting president to attend a Super Bowl.
And when a president goes to crowded public places, it requires more security from the U.S. Secret Service local police, leading, you know, to potential chaos.
If the president left at the end of the game, that would mean 80,000 people would not be able to exit the stadium while the president is on the move.
He needed to be wheels up before that game was over.
So he did it for the convenience of everybody else.
God forbid Donald Trump does something nice.
Um you can't deny that the reception he got at the Super Bowl was pretty spectacular.
I mean, it really was.
Um we have updates.
It looks like JFK, I'm sorry, RFK Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard are on the path, and Cash Patel are all on the path towards being confirmed.
I think all three will do phenomenal jobs.
Uh the way it's gonna end by the end of the week, the Senate will likely confirm both Tulsi and RFK Jr.
After the Senate likely crushes a filibuster on the nomination of RFK to serve as Health and Human Services Secretary, the the Senate could confirm Kennedy by late Thursday.
It'd be unthinkable.
In November, the President Trump might be able to muscle through certain nominees, but the only one that seems to face a challenge now is former representative Laurie Chavez uh de Remer, I think is how you say it.
A Republican from Oregon who's up for labor secretary, and there's some pushback from Republicans that she's quote, too pro-labor, Um, and we'll find out.
Department of Education may not even be around long enough for Linda McMahon, but we'll see what happens there too.
But I'm sure they'll find another position for her.
Murkowski and Cassidy announced that they're going to vote to confirm Tulsi Gabbard, uh, which means that's all but a certainty that that's gonna happen.
Um, and over 600,000 members of law enforcement urge the Senate to confirm Cash Patel as the FBI director.
Oh, in the U.S. aid package found among Hezbollah's weapons cash, USAID.
Oops, see Daisy.
How did that happen?
Excuse me.
Um, I told you about the FEMA firing four employees who spent millions putting Biden illegals up in luxury hotels after the president's order.
And those firings include the chief financial officer, two program analysts, and a grant specialist under President Trump and Secretary Gnome's leadership, the DHS is not going to sit idly by and allow the deep state activists to undermine the will and the safety of the American people.
I mean, it is uh they discovered this money was spent after the president's order.
And all credit to both of them for for doing that.
Uh one teachers' union is heard coaching illegal immigrants how to evade ice.
Those people, I had Tom Holman on TV last night.
I'm telling you, they're not going to survive.
Democrats helping illegal immigrants avoid legal re uh repatriation.
They're gonna end up being subpoenaed, and they're gonna end up being charged over time.
Mark my words.
New Jersey data still shows most job growth going to illegal immigrants.
88%.
I'm sorry, New January numbers, not New Jersey.
88% of new jobs going to illegal immigrants since 2020.
72% in the last year alone.
Well, those are jobs that are for Americans, and that'll also create more competitiveness in the marketplace, which means Americans will get paid more money, and they deserve to get paid more money.
I think we have the best workforce on the face of the earth.
Uh, you know, Donald Trump said something else in his interview.
A lot of people take Ozempik, Mongiaro.
He called them the what does he call them, the fat drug or the fat shot, whatever it is.
But I know people that have taken these medicines and they've lost a hundred pounds.
And but the difference is in London you pay 88 bucks.
If you can get it, and its availability is limited, in New York, you're gonna pay 1200 bucks.
That's insane.
