All right.
Thank you, Scott Shannon.
Thanks to all of you for being with us.
Here is our toll-free telephone number.
If you want to be a part of the program, it's 800-941.
Sean, if you want to join us, it was nothing short of just an epic, epic Donald Trump presser at Mar-a-Lago from earlier today.
I mean, every politician needs to study him.
And, you know, one of the things that has to happen if we really want the country to be transformed, if you really want big things to happen, if you want all the things that conservatives have said that they've wanted over the decades and limited government and greater freedom and reducing the size and scope and influence of government,
if you want to eliminate baseline budgeting, if you really believe in a strong national defense, if you believe America needs borders, if it's going to control its destiny, you know, great, all these great things can happen.
Add to that the ability of America to become the wealthiest country on the face of the earth and doing that through energy, dominance, independence.
We have so many natural resources that it could solve a whole host of problems for us.
If you really want to accomplish these things, you can.
And it's fascinating to watch and to listen to other politicians because they don't have the ability to think beyond that limited scope that represents the Washington swamp.
Donald Trump is not a part of it.
And it was on full display today.
I mean, everything from, well, first he made an announcement of $20 billion being invested by a major developer in the country.
And a lot of this money is going to be invested in new data centers all across the Midwest and the Sunbelt.
It's going to keep America on the cutting edge of technology, artificial intelligence.
And this goes to the issue, and I know there's a little MAGA civil war over the issue of H-1B1 visas.
And that is not the immigration that has been causing the country problems.
You know, the idea, what have we said the whole time?
We've said you cannot allow unvetted, illegal immigrants into the country that we've got to understand.
It's sort of like in a relationship.
If you're in a relationship with somebody, understand what you bring to the table.
Understand your worth.
Understand, put value on what you offer somebody else.
Well, we're the United States of America.
If you want to get a passport in New Zealand or Australia, it's going to cost you millions and millions and millions of dollars in investment.
You can buy passports in other countries.
You're going to have dual citizenship with other countries.
And depending on the country, you're going to pay an awful lot of money.
If it's an industrialized country, if it's a place like New Zealand or Australia, it's going to take you years and it's going to cost a fortune.
And what Biden and Harris have been doing is they've been basically letting anybody from any country into this country unveted, and we can't have that.
And it has now created the biggest national security problem this country has ever faced.
If we are going to have legal immigration, of which I am in favor of, well, we can't have so many people coming into the country that it's going to harm hardworking Americans, their job opportunities, their wage opportunities, etc.
And if people do come into this country, we must demand that you do it legally.
We must do a background check.
We've got to do a health check in a post-COVID world, and you've got to be able to show that you're not going to be a financial burden on the American people, and that you'd have to have a job.
So if you lived in a neighborhood and you had kids and you sent your kids to school, you'd be contributing to the cost of their education.
And right now, you get free housing, food, health care, education.
And if Kamala had her way, you'd get free sex change operations.
So if we're going to give an opportunity for people that would be fully, completely vetted, and you have people all around the globe, you know, the greatest gift they could ever get, the greatest piece of property they'd ever own would be a passport to the U.S., and they're willing to pay money to come into the country.
Well, if Australia, New Zealand charge money and they still want to come here, that's great.
I'd be fine with that.
Again, that would be conditional based on a background check, et cetera.
I know some people disagree with it.
Some people would want to eliminate all legal immigration altogether.
But, you know, if we want the best and brightest that the world has to offer, people that are the best engineers, the best doctors, the best scientists, the best researchers, the best health care providers, the best inventors, engineers, IT people, artificial intelligence people, and they want to help us.
And they're willing to work in this country.
If they'd be willing to help develop the next generation of weaponry for warfare, assuming that I'm right, that future wars are not going to be fought on battlefields, but in air-conditioned offices, and we have a gap of vulnerability, as Reagan described his inheriting of the military under Jimmy Carter, where ships couldn't go out to sea and planes couldn't fly.
And we now have a situation where China and Russia have hypersonic missile technology with maneuverability capability.
And that's only one area of deficiency, technology, technologically that we have.
We've got to catch up.
And if it means we'll bring in some brilliant engineers, inventors, military experts to do so after we vet them, and they're going to show us their loyalty by producing it.
I'm all in favor of it if it expedites the process.
Well, the president was able to get this $20 billion investment, which I thought was pretty amazing.
Dimac properties, it's a global real estate development company, and they're going to invest all this money in the Sun Belt and in the Midwest in our country and try to keep America on the cutting edge of technology and artificial intelligence and build massive data centers across parts of the country.
As long as they can't hack us, as long as we trust them, as long as we have checks and balances, I would not be against it.
Anyway, here's the president making that announcement today.
And we're honored to welcome one of the most respected business leaders in the Middle East, indeed the world.
He's a founder and chairman of Dimac Properties, Hussein Sejwani.
Very respected gentleman.
And I'm thrilled to announce today that Dimac will be investing at least $20 billion over a very short period of time into the United States, and they may go double or even somewhat more than double that amount of money.
It's a great thing.
And I believe he will say that he's doing it because of the fact that he was very inspired by the election.
They wouldn't do it without that election.
I can tell you a lot of people wouldn't.
And here's where the average politician, the average swamp creature, I think, can learn from Donald Trump.
He said, we're going to change the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America.
Now, just stand back and think.
Go back to the origins of Donald Trump.
And I remember when I was having conversations with him before I'd ever support him about where he stood on issues.
And we'd have these conversations late into the night, and we'd even argue at times.
And I remember when he said, Well, why isn't Iraq paying us back for the weaponry and their liberation with oil, of which they have an abundance of?
And I'm thinking, hmm, that's thinking outside the box.
And I found that idea to be impressive.
And here's him saying that we're going to change the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America.
Mexico is really in trouble.
A lot of trouble.
Very dangerous place.
And we're going to be announcing at a future date pretty soon we're going to change because we do most of the work there and it's ours.
We're going to be changing sort of the opposite of Biden, where he's closing everything up, essentially getting rid of 50 to 60 trillion dollars worth of assets.
We're going to be changing the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America, which has a beautiful ring that covers a lot of territory.
The Gulf of America, what a beautiful name.
And it's appropriate.
It's appropriate.
And Mexico has to stop allowing millions of people to pour into our country.
They can stop them.
And we're going to put very serious tariffs on Mexico and Canada because Canada, they come through Canada too, and the drugs that are coming through are at record numbers.
I mean, that is a politician that is thinking outside of the box.
Don Jr.
went to Greenland today.
It's interesting since Donald Trump expressed an interest in joining forces with Greenland, which they do have their own parliament.
They are associated with Denmark.
The people of Greenland apparently are not particularly happy with how the Danish are treating them.
Anyway, Don Jr.
made a trip to Greenland and made the case for Greenland becoming an American territory.
And President Trump called in while Don Jr.
was there, and here's how it went out.
What's going on?
We are doing too called my son, and he's a real hunter.
I think it'd be great to go up there with his two very talented friends and the other group, a lot of other people.
So I just want to say that it's a very special place.
It needs security for itself, but it also needs security very much for the world.
The location really, you see the people and the ships sailing around, and they're not the right ships, and they're not the ships you want to know about.
So we need security, and our country needs it, and the whole world needs it.
Yes.
You're so strategically located.
It's really imparis.
You're right.
Thank everybody.
You guys like that, right?
It's been great.
It's an incredibly beautiful place.
The people are incredible.
The welcome was spectacular.
It's pretty amazing.
Well, that's great.
Well, you go have a good time, everybody.
And we're going to treat you well.
And you know that.
And just take care of yourselves.
Thank you all very much.
Thank you.
Again, thinking out of the box, when you think of the amount of money we're going to have to spend deporting Harris Biden unvetted illegals and building the wall as they try to sell off or tried to sell off, you know, the remaining materials to do so just out of petty vindictiveness, it shows a lot about Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
I mean, Donald Trump addressed that today as well.
And he addressed this offshore drilling ban that he's trying to put in place at the last minute.
And the president rightly pointed out it would cost the U.S. $50 trillion, what Biden is trying to do here to give in to the radical environmentalists that run his party.
Listen.
But think of it.
They were selling the wall that was exactly the wall that the Border Patrol wanted.
That was designed by them.
Steel, concrete, rebar, exactly as they want.
Very, very heavy steel, very powerful steel, hard to cut.
Very, very heavy, 7,000-pound concrete, which is a very strong concrete.
Everything was top of the line, very expensive, would be double what we paid for it then, six years ago.
But let me just tell you, they were selling it for five cents on the dollar to people, and those people were calling us, asking us to pay them 200 cents because it's a good deal because we can have it immediately.
And you know what immediately is?
Just leave it in place.
So remember what I said because nobody wants to report it.
They were selling the wall for $0.05 on the dollar and trying to resell it back to us for 200 cents or less, but for 200 cents on the dollar.
That's a nice return.
But remember, when, and just to get off the subject, because I couldn't believe it when I heard it yesterday, I couldn't believe the size of it.
I mean, you put down a map and put this up, it's just massive.
And remember that that's worth probably, I mean, I've had estimates, $40 to $50 trillion.
That's more than our national debt.
Essentially, he's thrown it away.
He's thrown it away.
He's taken $50 trillion.
So if we owe $35 trillion, he's taken $50 trillion of value and thrown it right out the window.
We can't do that.
Nobody can do that.
He's talking about the $50 trillion with the offshore drilling ban that is trying to put in place in the last minute.
Trump will certainly reverse that probably on day one.
All right, we'll get to your calls.
We've got a lot of other news we're going to get to today.
Judge Eileen Cannon's ruling earlier today blocking Jack Smith from releasing this report.
It's going to be a one-sided report, just like he gave a report before the election.
You know, he wants to go out with a bang.
We'll get Greg Jarrett's take on all of that.
The decline of legacy, the death of legacy media, Mark Halperin will weigh in, and he comes from that area, and he's decided to separate himself from them.
Hey there, I'm Mary Catherine Ham, and I'm Carol Markowitz.
We've been in political media for a long time.
Long enough to know that it's gotten, well, a little insane.
That's why we started Normally, a podcast for people who are over the hysteria and just want clarity.
We talk about the issues that actually matter to the country without panic, without yelling, and with a healthy dose of humor.
We don't take ourselves too seriously, but we do take the truth seriously.
So if you're into common sense, sanity, and some occasional sass, you're our kind of people.
Catch new episodes of Normally every Tuesday and Thursday on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you listen.
All right, as we roll along, 800-941 Sean, if you want to join us now, the Lake and Riley Act passed the House earlier this afternoon, the first piece of federal legislation approved by Congress.
And the bill will require federal immigration authorities to detain illegal immigrants found guilty of theft related to crimes.
Also allows states to sue the Department of Homeland Security for harm caused to their citizens because of illegal immigration.
All Republicans voting for the bill, 48 Democrats, more than the total of Democratic lawmakers that voted for it last year, and it passed by a pretty wide margin.
But with that said, there's a lot of immigration news that is not particularly good coming out today.
We have the Biden illegal caught on video burning a female subway passenger to death, pleading not guilty, and other cases as well, which we'll get to later.
Be sure to check in as soon as you get to your car after work for breaking information you need to know about.
This is the Sean Hannity Show.
All right, 25 to the top of the hour, 800-941.
Sean, if you'd like to join us, look, God forbid, this moment happens.
It's a very dangerous world, dangerous country.
Look what I just mentioned moments ago.
I mean, you have a case where thankfully they passed the Lake and Riley Act, and even 48 Democrats joined Republicans to pass that bill in the House.
But you have a Biden illegal caught on video burning a female subway passenger to death, pleading not guilty in New York.
You saw what happened this weekend.
This guy, 87 prior arrests on the street, no bail laws, New York, and stabbing two people.
You have a Biden illegal captured with an AR-15, hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of drugs all stashed in his taxpayer-funded hotel room.
I mean, you can make some of this stuff up.
It is so bad.
I mean, ICE nabbed an illegal immigrant charged with sex crimes in Boston, and the ACLU of Colorado Aurora Police may have exceeded their authority in working with ICE.
Well, maybe if we had enforced the nation's laws, we wouldn't be in this position.
But what it means is no bail, defund, dismantle, you know, allowing murders, rapists, cartel members, criminals, gang members, known terrorism of the country has made the world an unsafe place for everybody.
And if God forbid you use a gun in self-defense, what do you do then?
With today's justice system, you know, there's a nightmare that can start the minute after you save your life, the life of your family, the life of your employees, because we live in a time where government overreach is that real.
And prosecutors, politicians, look at Daniel Penny.
They want nothing more than to make an example out of law-abiding gun owners like you and me.
There was not a gun in that case, but you get my point.
That's why I've been a proud member of the USCCA for over nine years.
And I know with the USCCA, if God forbid that moment comes in my life, and I pray it doesn't come in any of our lives, that you won't be alone.

A controversy has emerged in terms of Inauguration Day.
Now, I know that with the passing of Jimmy Carter, and I do pass my sympathies on to his family.
I don't think he was a very good president, but I think he was actually a great post-president.
I think his heart was in the right place.
He just was wrong on many issues, one of them being Panama, which we'll talk about here.
But anyway, so Biden ordered the flags to be lowered for 30 days from the day of Jimmy Carter's death.
He died at 100 on December the 29th.
It's a custom when a U.S. president dies, although there has been a precedent where it's been raised in the past.
And Donald Trump, you know, Jimmy Carter's funeral is going to be long over.
You know, Nixon opted, for example, after the death of former President Harry S. Truman, he opted to raise flags, which he ordered lowered in morning following the death of former President Lyndon Johnson before the 30-day mark to honor the first U.S. prisoners of war that were released from Vietnam in 1973.
It lasted a day.
The flags went back up to half staff thereafter for eight days.
I think that would be appropriate in this case.
We'll see.
Maybe after Donald Trump gets sworn in, maybe he'll put the flag up for the rest of the day.
I don't know what he plans to do.
That's going to be up to him.
That didn't come up at his press conference today, although it was wide-ranging and a lot of interesting comments.
What is unique about Donald Trump came across today?
And this is why the media will never understand him.
This is why the swamp is so threatened by him.
You know, he responded, for example, to Joe Biden yesterday trying to prevent Donald Trump from fulfilling a major promise, which is to drill baby drill, which would put America on a path to financial independence.
It would help us pay the cost of deporting Harris Biden illegals.
It would help us shore up what is going into insolvency, and that's Social Security and Medicare.
It would help us pay down our national debt.
It would help pay for the next generation of warfare, which I argue is not going to be fought on a battlefield, but in an air-conditioned office.
That money we're talking about, Trump put the number at $50 billion, but he said he's going to undo that when he gets in office.
Here's exactly what he said.
But remember, and just to get off the subject, because I couldn't believe it when I heard it yesterday, I couldn't believe the size of it.
I mean, you put down a map and put this up.
It's just massive.
Nobody can do that.
Well, he also said that he will undo that if he's president.
And by the way, he said Biden's actions yesterday, banning offshore drilling are not going to stand.
He said he will reverse that immediately.
It will be done immediately.
And we're going to drill baby drill.
We're going to be drilling in a lot of other locations, and the cost of energy is going to come way down.
You get the cost of energy down.
Well, that means the cost of shipping everything you buy in every store you go to also gets lowered.
That means the cost of filling your tank will get lower.
That means the cost of diesel will get lower.
The cost of heating and air conditioning in your home will get lower.
All of that is just simple, basic, fundamental common sense.
Think about it.
If you're making the argument, well, you don't want carbon emissions, you want to get off fossil fuels, then why do we import any energy at all?
Because the answer is simple.
It's the lifeblood of the world's economy, and it will remain the lifeblood of the world's economy for the foreseeable future.
That's not going to change.
You know, the left and these radical environmentalists, they ignore the fact that natural gas is clean burning.
They ignore the fact that the technology that they say exists, solar, et cetera, has not been perfected.
They ignore the fact that electric cars have their limitations.
And as we pointed out last year, you know, there are arguments to be made that to make those cars and use those cars, that there's more wear and tear on the pavement, on the economy, and they're more dangerous than other cars because of the heavy batteries associated with them.
And you do have to pillage Mother Earth to get the manganese and the cobalt and the nickel that are necessary to build out those batteries.
Anyway, so Trump goes on to say he blasted lawfare.
We'll get into that with Greg Jarrett later in the program today.
And he will undo the offshore drilling ban.
And he also slammed Biden's handling of the crisis in Afghanistan, Russia and Syria.
He pointed out we defeated ISIS.
We had no wars.
Now I'm going into a world that is burning with Russia and Ukraine and Israel.
Then he went on to give a very strong warning and admonition to those that are holding Americans hostage and saying that there will be hell to pay.
All hell will break out if Hamas hostages are not released before he takes office.
Here's what he said.
All hell must be paid if they don't release the hostage, aren't you?
Do I have to define it for you?
All hell will break out.
If those hostages aren't back, I don't want to hurt your negotiation.
If they're not back by the time I get into office, all hell will break out in the Middle East.
And it will not be good for Hamas, and it will not be good, frankly, for anyone.
All hell will break out.
I don't have to say it anymore, but that's what it is.
And they should have given him back a long time.
They should have never taken him.
There should have never been the attack of October 7th.
People forget that.
But there was.
And many people are killed.
They're no longer hostages.
I have people from Israel and others calling, begging me to get, you know, we had also people there from the United States, just so you know, they're holding some so-called hostages from the U.S.
But I've had mothers come to me and fathers crying, can I get the body of their son back?
Can I get the body of their daughter back?
That beautiful girl where they threw her in the car, pulled her by her ponytail and threw her in the car like she was a sack of potatoes.
I said, what happened to her?
Sir, she's dead.
If the deal isn't done before I take office, which is now going to be two weeks, all hell will break out in the Middle East.
Now he has Steve Witkoff.
You might remember Steve Witkoff, brilliant businessman, brilliant developer, has gone into the administration as a special envoy to the Middle East.
And he is active and involved in the negotiations.
And he said he didn't want to hurt Witkoff's negotiations and would follow a deal.
You know, if a deal's not made, there's going to be, you know, hell that break loose, that's going to break loose there.
Now, I'm going to tell you something that probably a lot of people don't want to hear either.
And I don't want any foreign conflicts or foreign wars like the next person.
But I will tell you, if what you read is correct, if what we have been witnessing out of Iran continues, and that is they fight proxy wars through Hamas.
They helped organize through the Quds forces, Iranian revolutionary forces against Israel.
If they're firing ballistic missiles into Israel, if they continue to arm Hamas, arm Hezbollah on the Islamic Jihad in the north out of Lebanon, if they continue to arm the Houthi rebels and they're firing weapons and they're taking weapons from four, five, six different directions, and the Iranians continue to pursue nuclear capability.
And according to reports, they might be as close as three, four, five months away from that capability and that they're reinforcing those sites because Israel has shown that they can penetrate deep into Iranian airspace.
This is something that the world is going to have to deal with.
And that is you're going to have to take out their nuclear sites.
You cannot allow the Iranians to have nukes because the Iranians, it's simple A squared, B squared equals C squared.
If the Iranian radical mullahs have nuclear weapons, they will use them.
And if they use them, we would live through, as a world, a modern-day Holocaust.
We cannot allow that to happen.
And Donald Trump is very keenly aware of that threat.
Now, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris helped the Iranians get rich, which was not particularly smart on their part.
Trump also slammed Biden's handling of Afghanistan, Russia, and Syria.
We defeated ISIS.
We had no wars.
Now I'm going into a world that's burning with Russia, Ukraine, and Israel.
He said he would have withdrawn from Afghanistan with dignity and strength, but also they would have kept Bagram Air Base.
And now China has a foothold in there.
And then, of course, he went on to talk about the Panama Canal.
And then Greenland.
I played the Greenland piece with Don Jr.
He'll be on Hannity tonight.
But, you know, but for the United States of America and our efforts and our planners and our engineers and our developers, it wouldn't even exist.
And I don't know why Jimmy Carter went into that.
And by the way, why are we giving them money to repair the Panama Canal?
The U.S. gives Panama $75 million in foreign aid, and the Communist Chinese, in spite of reports to the contrary, according to all my sources, are all over the Panama Canal.
As far as Greenland, it's interesting because it's the world's largest island.
It is autonomous in the sense that they have their own parliament, but they are part of the kingdom of Denmark.
They have a population of 58,000 people, about the size of an average U.S. suburb.
And the island is dependent on Danish financial support.
Apparently, the people of Greenland are not particularly happy with how they've been treated.
The prime minister recently said that they would be open to having a conversation about whether or not they should separate themselves from Denmark.
And I would like nothing more than to see an alliance between the U.S. and Greenland.
I think it's a good idea.
As for the alliance between Canada and the U.S., well, Canada's got a problem.
They have a man, President Trump dealt with this today.
We have a $53 billion, we have a $53 billion trade deficit.
We had the Border Patrol in the northern sector apprehended nearly 20,000 illegal immigrants from 97 different countries for fiscal year 2024, which is higher than any prior, the prior 17 years combined.
And we're handing over millions of dollars to Canada.
And but for American military might and support, they wouldn't exist.
But the world fears Canada because they know the U.S. will come to their rescue.
I don't think it's that far-fetched an idea that we have a new alliance, whatever manifestation that takes in.
It's somebody thinking out of the box.
He's not your quintessential typical politician.
And the media gets all worked up.
The five craziest things Donald Trump said.
He didn't say anything crazy.
Actually, they're just not used to somebody that actually can give a press conference, which shouldn't be particularly surprising.
Especially they put up with it and they hid the fact that Joe Biden, and this will go down as one of the biggest failures of the media, the Democrats, some of the biggest lies they ever told.
You know, it's pretty unbelievable.
And that is, and there was a good New York Post article op-ed today.
Well, actually, it was an editorial today.
Chuck Schumer stopped lying.
He didn't learn a thing from the 2024 election.
Americans hate getting fed insulting, obvious lies.
And then Kristen Welker played a clip of him on Sunday claiming that Biden's mental acuity is great and calling any suggestion otherwise right-wing propaganda.
And then she said, well, what do you say to Americans who feel as though you and other Democrats misled them about Biden's mental acuity?
Now, if he had an ounce of shame and a chance to admit the truth, he said, well, we didn't.
Oh, he has an amazing record.
Really?
