Time Text
This is an iHeart podcast.
You want smart political talk without the meltdowns?
We got you.
I'm Carol Markowitz and I'm Mary Catherine Hamm.
We've been around the block in media and we're doing things differently.
Normally is about real conversations.
Thoughtful, try to be funny, grounded, and no panic.
We'll keep you informed and entertained without ruining your day.
Join us every Tuesday and Thursday, normally, on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
I'm Ben Ferguson, and I'm Ted Cruz.
Three times a week, we do our podcast, Verdict with Ted Cruz.
Nationwide, we have millions of listeners.
Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, we break down the news and bring you behind the scenes inside the White House, inside the Senate, inside the United States Supreme Court.
And we cover the stories that you're not getting anywhere else.
We arm you with the facts to be able to know and advocate for the truth with your friends and family.
So down with Verdict with Ted Cruz now, wherever you get your podcasts.
Well, we're coming to your city.
We're going to play our guitars and sing you a country song.
We'll all be flying higher than a jail under.
And if you want a little bang in your yin yang, come along.
That case, the Attorney General's case in New York, frankly, should have never been brought.
If his name was not Donald Trump and if he wasn't running for president from the former AG in New York, I'm telling you, that case would have never been brought.
The reason why we have chaos right now after the Doffs decision is because of what Donald Trump did in his administration.
Thank you very much for your time.
You are welcome to come back at any point.
She is welcome to come back.
Our thanks to Caroline.
Only one hundred and thirty days until America votes.
Yeah, we're coming to town.
From coast to coast, from sea to shining sea.
Sean Hannity is on.
Coming up next, our final news roundup and information overload hour.
All right, news roundup, information overload hour.
Toll-free.
Our number is 800-941-Sean.
If you want to be a part of the program, we're in Atlanta ahead of the big debate coming up in just, what, a little under four hours from right now.
We'll have full coverage.
I'll be on Fox from 8 to 9 p.m. tonight.
And then again, right after the debate at 10.30 and a full Hannity at 11.
I mean, they got us working down here, but I can't think of anything else I'd rather do or any other place I'd rather be.
It should be a fun night for sure.
One of the poll questions that we put up on Hannity.com and X had to do with that fake news, CNN is going to be biased.
And I gave a couple of options.
100%, they're going to be biased.
Fake Jake, fake Dana, 75%, 50%, 50-50, 25%, or zero.
Those are the options.
What was the latest vote tally?
I think we're at 90-some-odd percent, Linda, of people that thought they were going to be biased.
Everybody thinks that Joe will be jacked up, and everybody thinks that Jake will be fake.
Okay.
Well, let's take a listen to some of the CNN lies that have been told over the years and some of the more incendiary anti-Trump rhetoric.
Russian operatives claim to have compromising personal and financial information about Mr. Trump.
are looking at the possibility that the president of the United States and those around him during an election campaign colluded with a hostile foreign power to undermine the basis of our democracy.
This is evidence of willingness to commit collusion.
It does look like collusion.
It does look like he's listening to Putin more than he is American intelligence.
You should also point out that no American president has ever accepted the nomination of his party from the White House.
It was thought to be inappropriate, a violation perhaps even of the Hatch Act.
President Biden wakes up for the first time in the White House.
We're getting words from officials about the staggering lack of a coronavirus vaccination plan left behind.
This morning we are told they have to start from scratch.
Sources say the coronavirus vaccine distribution plan that was inherited from the Trump administration to the Biden team was non-existent.
Welcome to the lead.
I'm Jake Tapper.
We begin with breaking news.
Golden showers thing about PP.
The golden showers thing.
P-tape of prostitutes that Trump had paid to urinate on each other and his bed in a Russian hotel suite.
What you're seeing in front of me is a peaceful situation.
In fact, it sort of looks like a street festival.
CNN has retracted a previous report from its investigative unit that claimed that Congress was investigating a Russian investment fund with ties to the Trump campaign.
CNN has said that the story did not go through the rigorous editorial process that it should have.
It relied on a single anonymous source.
Apparently, the president gets two scoops.
You know, everyone else around the table gets one.
And no word if there were sprinkles.
Is this president trying to impersonate Hugo Chavez?
Recep Tayap Erdogan?
Vladimir Putin?
So you are going to sit and listen to the Senate impeachment trial of the former president of the United States who has been impeached for inciting the erection.
Why is President Trump showing sympathy for white nationalists and other hate groups?
The biggest terror threat in this country is white men, most of them radicalized up to the right.
We can surely say his words have absolutely emboldened white supremacists.
He has given oxygen to racists.
He is clearly trying to ignite a civil war in this country.
There's a sign out there that's been hung up in the White House or outside the White House saying, if you're not white, you're not especially welcome.
These are the messages from a person who is not well, from a leader who is not fit for office.
All right, joining us now, Joe Concha is with us, Fox News contributor, the best media analyst out there.
And he has a new book, by the way, coming out, Progressively Worse, Why Today's Democrats Ain't Your Daddy's Donkeys, which is a funny title.
Anyway, Joe, welcome to the program, our pre-debate show.
What do you think?
What are we expecting tonight?
Oh, boy.
I think that we're going to hear a lot about January 6th and threats to democracy, but not Biden being a threat to democracy, even though a Washington Post poll that just came out shows that Trump is seen as a better protector of democracy by 11 points over Joe Biden.
So so much for that centerpiece of the campaign.
We're going to hear some questions on abortion, no question.
Anything that possibly can play to Joe Biden's advantage.
And January 6th, and who won the 2020 election?
I'm guessing that takes up about half the debate.
Your thoughts?
Oh, yeah.
Who won the 2020 election, or will you accept the 2024 election results?
That's probably most definitely your first question from Jake Tapper.
So we'll be going backwards.
We're talking about things that haven't happened yet, then the things that matter to people primarily.
Here are the top four issues, by the way, from Gallup, right?
And that's when they ask voters, what's most important to you when you go to the ballot box.
Number one, of course, is economy and inflation.
Number two is trusting government and poor leadership.
Very interesting.
Barely edges out illegal immigration, which is a very close third.
And then number four, also a bit surprising, but not really when you look at what's going on in American cities on a daily basis, poverty and homelessness and hunger.
So if Jake Tapper and Danabash choose to ignore that or at least push that to the middle of the debate or when they ask questions, trying to both sides Trump and Biden on, say, inflation or immigration, for example, yeah, that's not going to be something that's unexpected.
Will Biden be jacked up is the next question, right?
And he will be, no question about it.
We'll get the Red Bulls and Pixie 6 version of Biden.
But here's the thing about that, Sean.
If Joe Biden is loud, that's kind of like a 1940s car that loses its muffler.
Like, yeah, it gets your attention, but it's not pleasant to listen to.
And by the way, being jacked up doesn't help with memory.
In the state of the union.
I like the sound of a 1940s car without a muffler.
It sounds great.
Sounds like a Harley.
Yes, this is true.
So we differ on that, but I'm pro-muffler.
We'll put it that way.
If he's loud, he's not going to be able to remember things any better.
So, again, the state of the union, he was loud and he read a teleprompter.
Well, no teleprompter tonight.
You see, it's not just that he's loud.
He yells.
He shouts it.
He screams it.
It's like the only way he can get to that zone of being anywhere near what we would define as articulate.
He has to so overdo it.
Now, if that Joe comes out and he's yelling and screaming and he's not the cognitive mess, is it now a problem that the guy's had to be in hiding for seven, eight, whatever days for a 90-minute debate and then he comes out an entirely different person and a potential backlash to all of that?
Right.
And oh, by the way, he needed, what, 16 people to advise him on how to handle this debate, seven days for 90 minutes?
I'm telling you, that does not reflect well.
That doesn't inspire confidence.
Let's put it that way.
And by the way, if you're loud, that doesn't show that you're confident and that you're secure and you're strong.
Actually, that shows quite the opposite.
It shows fear and insecurity and vulnerability.
So I don't think that's going to play well if he decides to go down that route.
And remember, we've been told all these years that Biden's strength is that he's able to connect with people.
But if he comes across as scripted and contrived and has all these zingers, apparently, that he's practicing, I'm telling you, I don't think that's going to play well either because Trump, you know, whether you love him or hate him, is always himself and authenticity is never a problem.
And that's what people value most.
But most importantly, this isn't 2020 anymore.
Biden has a record that he has to defend.
He knows he's the underdog here.
We all saw that in the New York Times poll yesterday, Sean.
Trump up six nationally, 26% support among black voters, leads in every swing state, tied in places like Minnesota, Virginia, and New Hampshire.
You're going to see a Hail Mary trying to be thrown by Joe Biden tonight, but he may very well get stacked with the facts because, again, he's got to defend himself this time, and he's got to do it without notes.
And I don't think that's going to go well at all.
I can tell you with my experience with Trump just two weeks ago.
We taped for like an hour and 10 minutes straight.
And he went immediately from my interview and did about another hour and 10 minutes or 15 minutes with Dr. Phil.
And then he went straight to a dinner.
I know because I met the people that were in the dining room waiting for Donald Trump to finish his interviews and I got to say hello to them.
One of them was a woman that he met at the Chick-fil-A in Atlanta and a group of people that she knew.
And it was a pretty big group.
And it was, you know, actually, I wish I was invited to stay.
I would have loved to have hung out.
I have to work that night.
Let's talk about fake Jake and fake Dana.
They're not journalists.
They claim they're journalists.
We've been all over this.
We've played them in their own words.
They get very angry if you point out the obvious is that they are liberal Democratic talk show hosts masquerading as journalists and they hate Donald Trump.
We have all the tape to prove it.
So let's say that Donald Trump was two minutes to answer a direct question and then a minute rebuttal if Joe Biden gets the question first.
Now, are they going to try to interrupt him in the middle of that two minutes before they shut his mic off?
Because if they do that, at that point, they're just trying to shut him down completely.
And that'll backfire on them, right?
I mean, I think if they're openly doing that in favoring a candidate, afterwards, no one's going to say, yeah, they were supposed to do that.
Maybe like MSNBC and The View will be sharing something like that.
But for people at home that want to hear what Donald Trump has to say, well, it won't play well.
Remember when Trump was in Miami, and this was a couple of months ago, and he went to a restaurant there and people were chanting four more years.
And he was just, it was like watching the Beatles get off the plane before Shea Stadium.
Like he was adored.
And Jake Tapper ordered his control room.
You know, hosts don't do this very often, right?
Shut this down.
We were doing a campaign ad for him.
And then he wanted to tell you all about Donald Trump instead of Donald Trump being able to speak without a filter and without editing.
So that's Jake Tapper.
Jake Tapper's the guy who pushed the steel dossier.
Jake Tapper's the guy who compared Trump to Hitler.
And Dana Bash is the one when Trump was, the Supreme Court ruled that he had to be back on the ballot in Colorado.
She said, unfortunately for America, this was happening.
So they.
By the way, don't you think the media mob and fake news CNN people are going to love seeing me tonight?
Oh, yes.
I'll be there as well, as you know.
I'll be with you in the spin room at 11 o'clock on Fox.
And I can't wait to see the interactions between you and these other folks.
It'll be quite interesting.
And everybody will be sober as far as we know.
So that'll make it even more interesting.
I'm not sure how to take that, but I will be pleasant and polite as always and be as friendly as I can be.
All right, quick break.
We'll come back more with Joe Concha on the other side.
Then your call's coming up.
800-941-Sean.
Hey there, I'm Mary Catherine Hamm.
And I'm Carol Markowitz.
We've been in political media for a long time.
Long enough to know that it's gotten, well, a little insane.
That's why we started Normally, a podcast for people who are over the hysteria and just want clarity.
We talk about the issues that actually matter to the country without panic, without yelling, and with a healthy dose of humor.
We don't take ourselves too seriously, but we do take the truth seriously.
So if you're into common sense, sanity, and some occasional sass.
You're our kind of people.
Catch new episodes of Normally every Tuesday and Thursday.

All right, we continue with our friend, fellow Fox News employee Joe Concha is with us.
I just think in many ways, this is not working out well for fake news CNN because this is really giving people like me an opening to expose them of just how abusively biased and corrupt that they are and really have a discussion about those that claim to be journalists that are not.
And I could play the tape of Jake Tapper and I will, again, and I want you to hear this.
And this is him, America's Long National Nightmare is now over.
And before I play it, I just ask this audience to ask themselves whether or not this sounds like what journalism should sound like to you, or does it sound like a liberal, you know, Democratic talk show host that hates Donald Trump?
Their big lie has been exposed.
Wolf, it has also been a time of extreme divisions, many of the divisions caused and exacerbated by President Trump himself.
It's been a time of several significant and utterly avoidable failures.
Most tragically, of course, the unwillingness to respect facts and science and do everything that could be done to save lives during a pandemic.
It has been a time where truth and fact were treated with disdain.
It is a time of cruelty where official inhumanity, such as child separation, became the official shameful policy of the United States.
But now the Trump presidency is coming to an end.
To an end.
With so many squandered opportunities and ruined potential, but also an era of just plain meanness.
It must be said, to paraphrase President Ford, for tens of millions of our fellow Americans, their long national nightmare is over.
Okay.
Now, Joe, a big part of your job is analyzing the media in this country.
Is that journalism or is that those the words of a liberal, Democratic, anti-Trump talk show host?
I'm sorry, just give me a second.
I just throw up in my mouth a bit.
I hope it tastes good.
Yeah, I had tacos before, so actually.
So you just threw up tacos in your throat.
Okay, thanks for the description.
You're a wordsmith.
Go ahead.
Thanks.
Appreciate it.
To be honest, look, could you ever picture, I always was growing up a fan of Peter Jennings.
I think.
Maybe he leaned left.
I don't know.
But he never would do a speech like this, right?
ABC News anchor?
By the way, I knew him.
I used to interview Peter.
Peter Jennings came into my radio studio one day and asked me a bunch of questions about why I think the way I do, but we have about 30 seconds.
Okay.
Or Tim Russer.
Can you ever picture him doing that?
No.
Again, NBC News.
I'm not like Cheerio.
I knew him too.
I got along great with both of them.
Right.
There you go.
Or you know these people.
How about Brett Baer or Bill Hemmer or Martha McCount?
They're not doing speeches like this, right, to pander to their audience to make themselves the story.
When you make yourself the story and you do a speech like that, that's right out of the DNC.
No, you're not a journalist anymore.
You're not even an activist.
You're an activist.
And that's who Jake Tapper is.
And we're going to see it, I guess, on display tonight.
Maybe he's so worried about his reputation that he'll actually try to be somewhat fair because he knows how many people are watching, and this is his legacy on the line.
So then maybe this goes the other way, but I doubt it.
I think there's going to be a lot of pressure on them because they know they're going to get hammered at any bias that they show.
We'll see.
Thank you, sir.
All right.
Happy talk.
Taco Thursday today, by the way.
Taco Thursday.
Just stop while you're ahead, please.
The Sean Hannity Show, a thermonuclear MMA assault on fake news.
Hannity's on right now.
Hi, 25 to the top of the hour.
We're in Atlanta.
Our final half hour.
We're just a little over, what, three hours and 25 minutes away from tonight's big debate.
I'll be on in the 8 p.m. hour Eastern Time.
That's 5 o'clock out on the West Coast.
And then on immediately after the debate and hosting a full Hannity at 11 o'clock tonight, we're starting with JD Vance.
We got Marco Rubio and Governor Bergham.
And we've got everybody.
We've got Governor DeSantis.
We got Jim Jordan.
We've got everybody.
Anyway, so we'll be on both before and after the debate tonight.
Hope you'll join us for all of it.
You know, since the terror attack on October the 7th, anti-Semitism has been on the rise.
You see it in the halls of Congress.
You see it on college campuses.
And it's not just in Israel.
It's at home.
It's in the U.S.
It's in Europe.
It's in Australia.
It's worldwide.
Now, we have proudly partnered with the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews.
And today, we're simply asking that when this moment like this is happening and unfolding and the moment matters, that you stand with the IFCJ, stand with us, stand with Israel, and let your voice be heard.
And we want to show the people in Israel that are not alone.
They have a right to defend themselves, a right to win their war against radical Islamic terrorists.
And for the month of June, we're asking you to sign a pledge.
It will be delivered to the president of Israel to show that here in America, we're not only standing in solidarity, but we're speaking up.
Take a stand today with the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews.
Let the people of Israel know that they are not alone.
All we're asking is that you sign a pledge.
It's simple to do.
Go to their website, supportifcj.org.
That's supportifcj.org today.
Look at this.
We have two liberals on the line.
For kicks and for giggles, why don't we have some fun?
We'll start in my home state of Florida.
Casey, what's on your mind, Casey, the liberal?
How are you?
Hey, Sean, I love you, buddy.
I'm a little worried about you.
Again, I'm a little worried about you, bud.
By the way, you're not worried about me.
You're lying.
That's the first words out of your mouth.
You're a liberal.
You probably don't like me, but you're not worried about me at all.
You don't lose sleep over me at night, so you're full of crap.
Why don't you just get to your point?
All right, let's talk about policy because you talk about policy and Trump's policies.
Let's talk about the facts, okay?
Obama took us out of recession and handed on the upswing of the upswing.
Is that a fact or not a fact?
Didn't he hand them the economy on the upswing?
Yes.
Fact.
Okay.
So I want to ask you, what did Trump do to help the middle class?
I'll tell you right now, Donald Trump's economic policies led to the lowest record unemployment numbers ever.
When Donald Trump was president, we never once had a national average for a gallon of gas that ever reached $3 a gallon.
Donald Trump, for the first time in 75 years, made America energy independent.
Donald Trump secured the borders to the lowest levels we'd ever had.
Donald Trump shattered every record that ever existed in terms of record low after record low after record low unemployment for African Americans, Hispanic Americans, Asian Americans, women in the workplace, and African American youth unemployment.
Donald Trump did more to help the poor and the middle class, gave us the largest tax cuts in the history of the country.
And I'll tell you one other thing he did.
He struck fear into the hearts of America's enemies.
And as a result, the world was a better and a safer place.
That's what Donald Trump did.
Now, I have a question for you, Mr. Smart Ass Liberal.
Are you ready for your question?
Yeah, I'm ready for my question.
Sean, you go ahead.
No, no.
Okay, now here's my question back to you.
Tell me how Americans are better off than they were four years ago.
In what area has Joe been so successful?
What has he done to make the country better than it was four years ago?
Go.
We've done more drilling here in the United States than American history, and that's a fact.
Police brutality has dropped since Trump has left office.
We had police brutality problem back when Trump was in office, okay?
So wait a minute.
That means you support defund, dismantle, no bail laws.
Okay, keep going.
I'm just going to, I'm letting you talk.
Go.
Well, you're not law and order, but January 6th proves that you guys aren't about law and order.
You guys beat me.
No, no, the summer of 2020, where we had 574 riots, and your vice president tweeted out a bail fund after the burning down of a police precinct in Minneapolis, and most of your beloved Democratic politicians either were silent or lied to us and said that all of the rioting was mostly peaceful.
So I would say that's kind of supporting insurrection.
Next.
Yeah, well, next, because that's what you did.
What am I talking about?
And we had dozens of dead Americans.
We had thousands of injured cops.
We had billions in property damage.
And most of your fellow liberals and your Democrats were out there, you know, silent or lying saying, oh, no, they're mostly peaceful.
Yeah.
You know, you live in your own bubble, Sean.
The thing is, the fact...
No, no, no, that's...
That's called the checkmate moment because you have no answer for the truth.
What's your next point?
How are we better off than we were four years ago?
How are we better off?
Minorities.
How are we better off?
And you're not for law and order.
Oh, yeah.
I'm a big-time law and order guy.
I don't support no bail laws.
I don't support defunding police, dismantling police, reimagining police, not at all.
Well, because you're a bootlicker, Sean.
All these police, yes.
That's your answer.
I'm a bootlicker.
Out there.
Let me ask you, do you support no bail laws?
Do you support that?
I support retraining our police around the country.
I didn't ask you.
I said, do you support no bail laws?
Yes or no?
Do you support defunding the police?
Yes or no?
I do.
Yes, I do.
And do you support dismantling the police?
I wish you would listen to me.
We need to retrain our police.
No, I don't need your lecture.
Now, my next question.
Do you support building a border wall?
That border wall would not be.
Do you support building a border wall?
Do you support building a border wall?
We can build a wall all day, and you're still going to go.
We have planes.
I didn't ask that.
Do you support building it yes or no?
I'm not looking for your long-winded answer.
Do you support yes or no?
I support.
Yeah, you can build a wall, sure, if you like, because all it is is a statute.
Oh, we can build it if I like.
Okay.
Well, I'd vote yes because Joe Biden votes no.
Do you support the state of Mexico policy?
I do, yes.
Do you believe we should have amnesty for the 11 million Joe Biden unvetted illegal immigrants from 180 countries?
The border's been the same for 40 years.
you support amnesty for the hundred for the 11 million joe biden unvetted illegal immigrants if a kid was brought here illegally and they're do you support amnesty for the 11 million unvetted joe biden illegal immigrants You should ask that Melania.
All right, your last chance.
You can answer once, twice.
Do you want to answer or no?
Yes.
I believe in the MCS.
Okay.
You know what?
Your policies are going to result in the worst terror attack in history and you supporting Joe and every girl that's been raped and every person that's been killed.
Joe has blood on his hands and he has the support of people like you.
Goodbye.
Mo the liberal in Brooklyn, New York.
What's up, Moe?
I'm great, Sean.
Please be kind to me.
My God.
I was kind to that guy, wasn't I?
You know, when you get into your litany, you know, we're both Catholics.
Hey, Moe, I asked him simple questions.
For example, do you support no bail law?
Me?
Yeah, you.
Of course.
Bail is not a punishment.
That's the end of my discussion on bail.
Do you support defunding the police?
No, God, no.
We need like 10,000 more.
Okay.
Do you support building a wall?
Oh, no, no.
That's a waste of money.
Waste of goods.
Do you support amnesty for the 11 million unvetted Joe Biden illegal immigrants?
11 million.
I don't know.
I don't know.
You know, probably they want to get their money and go home, but what do I know?
Okay.
Let me ask you a question.
Tell me what Joe Biden does.
What has Joe Biden done to make the country better than what he inherited?
What policies, what has made the country better off?
Well, the best thing in New York, we keep losing the trains into Penn Station.
He's finally going to get that new tunnel built.
It's like went up $2 billion since they last proposed it, but he's getting that done.
Other than that, I don't know.
I don't know what's going on.
I gave up my cars.
I don't care about gas.
I live in New York City.
It's the greatest city in the world.
It's the greatest Adam Schiffole in the world, if you're going to be honest about it.
You know, Mo, I can't hate you.
I just like you too much.
You're a lost cause, but you're a good guy deep down.
I see, I can't beat you up like the last caller.
The last caller, you just know these policies are asinine, but you support them anyway.
That's the part of you I'll never understand.
You know, Sean, I think that anyone who commits a serious crime should be put on trial.
And I mean, a lot of these kids, they get caught stealing like a bike or something.
They can end up in Rikers for six months, you know?
No, they're not ending up in Rikers because you can be caught on video in the country illegally, beating the living out of somebody.
Oh, okay.
And you're going to be let out with no bail laws.
No, that's not necessarily the truth.
I don't know what's, I don't follow it.
All I know, I live in a great, safe neighborhood, and Brooklyn seems to be wonderful to me.
I'm out every night, and I love it, you know.
But what can I tell you?
It sounds like you go out drinking every night.
Is that what you do in Brooklyn?
Oh, God, no, I don't drink, Bye.
No way.
I own bars.
I worked in.
Well, maybe that's the problem.
Maybe you need to start.
Well, if I come down to Florida, we'll have a drink, okay?
Yeah, don't come to my state of Florida.
I don't want liberals moving down there.
You'd have to change your politics.
Then you can come.
My granddaughter was born in about eight days.
I'll be down there in about two weeks.
I love it.
All right.
Thank you for the warning.
Just let me know your exact location.
Sean, I'll warn you.
Listen to me.
All right.
Yeah.
The debate is going to be great tonight.
It's going to be really fun to see Donald Trump try to act like he's a human being.
That's all I got to say.
Donald Trump's just going to be Donald Trump.
I think you underestimate him to your own peril.
Donald Trump is going to be Donald Trump, and the country knows that Joe Biden has failed.
Regardless of whether it's jacked-up Joe, hyper-caffeinated Joe, or cognitively deficient Joe, it won't matter because you still got to go to the grocery store and pay a fortune more.
You still got to pay higher electricity bills and utility bills.
You still got to pay more to put gas in your car.
You still have wide open borders and all the crime associated with it.
You still have these idiotic laws like you have in New York, no bail, defund, dismantle.
And you have a president that lets, oh, bad political actors like President Chi and Vladimir Putin and the mullahs in Iran and Kim Jong-un.
He's still kissing their asses every day, too.
So that's your president, Mo.
Good luck with him, okay?
Hang in there, pal.
See you soon.
All right.
I hope so.
Thanks for the warning, though.
I appreciate it.
Let's say hi to John in Tennessee.
Hey, John, how are you?
Glad you called.
Hey, John.
Thanks.
Listen, if I was President Trump's life coach, I would tell him tonight not to beat up Joe Biden.
Trump's a street fighter.
He can get in there and karate chop Biden all night.
But the only people who matter that will be watching are the people who haven't decided yet.
So if they think I completely agree with that, I think there'll be Biden supporters watching and Trump supporters watching, but those independents are the audience that matters the most.
There's no doubt about it.
You're right.
And they want to see someone who's both dignified to some degree.
They know Trump.
They've heard about him.
But they want to see someone who acts not like a gentleman, but like a dignified professional.
And if he gets in there and just slaughters Biden, they're going to think, oh, yeah, this is the guy that I've heard about.
But the way the format's designed, if he gets two minutes and they don't interrupt him, he'll speak, and then Biden will speak, and then Trump will speak.
And you're going to get two distinct visions for the country.
I think they did Trump a favor by saying they're going to mute everybody's microphone.
I think that works in his favor.
If he made a mistake in 2020 in that first debate, he interrupted too much.
Yeah, and it'll be interesting to see if they give Joe any slack that they don't give to Trump.
Somebody will be timing that.
I hope they get it down to the microsecond.
There's no way that CNN is not biased.
Watch this.
They're going to have on the screen a truncated part of the question.
Donald Trump answers why he supports insurrection.
It'll be completely false and abusively biased.
Watch for that.
But like everything else they pull on Trump, it always seems to backfire, doesn't it?
Trump is going to be Trump tonight.
And I think that with that comes somebody smart, somebody interesting, somebody compelling, somebody that cares about this country, and somebody with a good sense of humor, and somebody that can be very charming.
I think that's the Trump you're going to see.
And I think Democrats have underestimated Donald Trump.
And I think, Joe, God only knows what's showing up.
It won't matter.
That's going to wrap things up for today.
We are just a mere three hours away from tonight's debate.
I'll be on two hours from now, 8 p.m. Eastern, 5 o'clock on the West Coast, and we'll have full coverage before the debate.
