This is an iHeart podcast.
All right, thanks, Scott Shannon, and thanks to all of you for being with us.
Here is our toll-free telephone number.
It's 800-941-Sean.
If you want to be a part of the program, you know, I'm talking to more and more people economically.
They are just getting crushed.
They're getting killed.
They're getting destroyed.
It's really unbelievable how hard times are for so many Americans.
I keep giving out the statistic.
And maybe this is why David Axelrod is so frustrated every time that Biden mentions that the economy is doing well.
It's not doing well.
And yet you get these job reports that ultimately will be revised downward because they put out these rosy numbers that look all great on the surface and they become orgasmic on these liberal leftist news stations.
And oh my gosh, look at the job report.
Then you look at the job report and you see, oh, they're mostly part-time jobs.
Oh, and most of them went to illegal immigrants.
Great.
How's that helping the American people?
How's that helping the American economy?
And then you look at the sheer amount of waste and fraud and abuse and bureaucracy.
It's unreal to me.
You know, if you think things were bad under Obama, remember a company called Solyndra?
How many of you remember Solyndra?
Well, Solyndra was run by a guy by the name of Brian Harrison.
He led the green energy company ultimately to bankruptcy.
The Obama administration gave them $500 million at the time in Obama administration, quote, loans.
I'm sure they were never paid back.
And anyway, think for a second.
If you defaulted on your car payments, let me backtrack here to the point where your car finally gets repossessed, which is happening in larger numbers.
The repo man is back.
What do you think your chances would be of getting the same car dealer to give you another auto loan?
Probably next to zero, right?
That's not how the green energy loan officers in the Biden administration act or see things because they're now giving a whopping, pay attention to this, $6.6 billion to a semiconductor project run by the former CEO of Solyndra.
Solyndra was the failed solar energy company at the center of the Obama-era scandal over government misspending.
Anyway, the Taiwanese chipmaker, TSMC's Arizona subsidiary, whose president is former Solyndra head, some guy named Brian Harrison.
This was in the Washington Free Beacon, which I have here in front of me.
But anyway, he's going to receive $6.6 billion to build a factory in Phoenix.
And again, a lot of this green energy money, how fascinating that it's all ending up in swing states.
Oh, sounds like vote buying, just like student loan forgiveness.
Let's get young people back in the fold.
Anyway, this, according to the Secretary of Commerce, Gina Romondo, announcing, I guess, yesterday, but this guy was the CEO of Solyndra when it declared bankruptcy.
That goes back to 2011, after he got the $500 million in loans from the Obama administration.
Needless to say, the $500 million was never paid back.
Now he's overseeing these projects in Arizona.
Said he was involved in securing the federal financing for his latest project in a media interview last August.
But if you get $500 million in loans from the Obama administration under his, you know, the beginnings or the formation or the early versions of the Green New Deal, but the company had to declare bankruptcy.
They defaulted on all the loans.
And an Inspector General investigation found that Solyndra executives provided misleading information to the Department of Energy officials during the loan negotiations in 2009 and later while drawing down loan proceeds.
Guess what?
You know, no charges were ever brought against him or any of the executives at the company.
How convenient.
In the wake of the scandal, the Obama administration then scaled down the operation of the Department of Energy's loan program's office, which had issued the funding.
Now the Biden administration has revived and expanded the office.
And instead of $500 million, we're talking about $6.6 billion, but the office has gotten a massive $400 billion budget for green energy loans that are now ending up in a lot of swing states.
So Joe Biden can go to a swing state.
We just invested $6.6 billion.
They're not going to tell you the Solyndra executive part of the story.
And the frustration is, is for most Americans, the 60% that are struggling to make ends meet, the 60% living paycheck to paycheck, the over 50% that don't have even $1,000 put away for a rainy day fund.
I mean, think about that.
God forbid something breaks on your car.
God forbid you have an emergency of any kind.
$1,000 is nothing today.
I mean, that could be wiped out in seconds.
And JPMorgan Chase, CEO, he's not a conservative, Jamie Diamond.
He sees a very chilly scenario for the U.S. economy.
He thinks interest rates may climb as high as 8% as the effects of the unprecedented monetary policy taken to combat inflation will take hold.
The odds of a Goldilocks soft landing outcome for the economy are a lot lower than most financial experts think.
And Diamond contended in his annual letter to shareholders.
He's got a fiduciary responsibility to tell them the truth.
Coupled with concerns about the potential stagflation, which we have talked at length about, and a recession characterized by lingering high inflation, he warned that interest rates could soar to 8% or even more.
Jerome Powell still saying we could have as many as three rate cuts this year, but he passed on the first one after last month's report.
CPI numbers came out, which is the indication of inflation up 3.2% from last year.
And Diamond warned that interest rates could soar to 8% or higher, which is a far cry from the current, what, 5%, 6% rates, which are already at a 22-year high.
He said there are several persistent inflationary pressures that could keep price increases sticky, including the rise in military conflicts globally.
And he also warned about the potential for carnage for both equity and debt investors should a higher rate scenario play out, noting that stock valuations are already at their high end and credit conditions are extremely tight.
Look, I don't give out financial advice.
I just, I have never had a stomach for the stock market.
And I actually feel like those of us that aren't in the market, we're the last to know.
Yeah, just my own suspicion, my own comfort level.
So I've always been more of a bricks and mortar investor.
Okay.
I'd rather be able to touch it, feel it, see it.
And I just feel better about it.
That's my own risk aversion, if you will.
But I can tell you what I have done with, you know, you have these one-year treasuries of 5%.
You can take, and again, I deal with my accountant on all of this, drive him up a wall.
and my financial people.
And I just said, all right, take whatever retirement monies that I have, and I want you to pull it out of the market.
I think there's going to be a correction coming soon.
And the first word is, well, don't ever try to time the market.
And I said, you're absolutely right.
But that's exactly what I'm expecting is going to happen at some point.
And that correction could be massive.
It could be 25%.
It could be 33%.
It could be 40%.
We've all lived through these corrections before.
Listen to this.
Half of U.S. homeowners now and renters, 49.9%, so half the country, regularly or greatly struggle to afford their housing payments.
And that means they're making big sacrifices to cover the cost.
Now, that's according to a recently commissioned survey in February of 2024.
The nationally representative survey was fielded by 2,995 U.S. homeowners and renters.
And most of the report focuses in on the 1,494 respondents who indicated that they sometimes regularly or greatly struggle to afford regular rent or mortgage payments.
The relevant question was, which of the following, if any, changes or sacrifices did you make in the past year to afford your monthly housing costs, including mortgage or rent, insurance, parking, heating, cooling, electricity, or homeownership association dues?
The most common sacrifice was taking no or fewer vacations.
More than a third of homeowners, nearly 35%, who struggle to afford housing indicated that they skipped vacations in the past year to be able to afford the monthly costs.
Many people who struggle to afford housing made more serious sacrifices.
22% are skipping meals.
I skip meals because otherwise I'd blow up like a balloon.
But anyway, these people are not skipping him for any other reason.
They can't afford it.
20.7% worked extra hours on their job.
A similar share, 20.6% sold belongings to make extra money.
More than one out of every six people, 17.9%, struggle to afford housing.
They ended up borrowing money from friends and family, and 17.6% dipped into their retirement savings.
I mean, that's a disaster because they pay a massive penalty.
Over one in seven delayed or skipped medical treatments for crying out loud.
Well, you skip some medical treatments.
You're going to end up dying.
And Biden, you know, has a massive pile of money for his energy revolution, and he can't spend it all before November because of Congress's asinine $200 billion for, quote, next generation energy projects.
But he's going to try.
Wall Street Journal editorial board, Biden's latest lawless student loan forgiveness.
We're now talking about no limits on the amount of money that he's forgiving here.
Now, I know he's struggling with demographics that traditionally make up the Democratic Party coalition, African Americans, Hispanic Americans, Asian Americans, young people, suburban women.
He's struggling mightily in all of these categories.
So, you know, we'll spend money, all this new green deal energy money.
We'll try and spend it in swing states and buy their votes, and then we'll have student loan forgiveness and just thumb our nose at the United States Supreme Court in their decision.
Just like he doesn't seem to care at all about enforcing the laws at our southern border, and there's no problem aiding and abetting in what is, frankly, just obvious criminal behavior, aiding and abetting in the lawbreaking.
It's unreal.
Senator Cotton slamming Biden for the latest student loan forgiveness plan, accusing the president of using taxpayer money to buy votes.
He's trying to buy the votes of young people and get them back in the fold because they're leaving him in droves.
Biden says the economy is strong, but everybody's living a different reality than what he's saying, which is why David Axerod said, shut up and stop talking about the economy.
You sound like an idiot.
Because it's asinine, what he say.
And I'm sure they're going to love this.
A new Gallup poll is showing America's interest in electric vehicles is fading and fading fast.
Almost half Americans now, 48%, said they would not even consider purchasing an electric vehicle.
That's a 7% decline in interest from last year.
And I'm not against electric cars, but I don't think they should be forcing cars that are gas-powered or manufacturers of gas-powered cars.
I don't think they should be forcing everybody into an electric vehicle or competing with a company that was doing well, which was Tesla, and forcing competition on them and then putting them in a more difficult position to succeed financially.
If you want an electric car, my advice would be to get your Tesla.
If you don't want one, we shouldn't be forcing Ford to lose $4.5 billion.
There's a FoxNews.com article about how the Federal Reserve will slash rates ahead of Election Day.
Why?
To superficially boost the U.S. wallets.
He said he anticipates the feds will slash interest rates.
Sure.
Well, the March inflation report put another month of hot price gains are expected.
And when you get down to the fundamentals of the economy, all this soft landing talk has been nothing but a bunch of hot air.
Your president's memory is so shot that he just keeps repeating one lie after another and one story after another that he's already admitted in some cases were even lies.
He repeated a lie that he was the first person in his family to attend college more than three decades after first admitting that it wasn't true.
That's how messed up this guy is cognitively.
Said this Monday in Wisconsin in his long 15-minute speech.
He shows up to his 15 minutes.
Can you imagine him trying to do a rally like Donald Trump or one of the many town halls I've done with him?
You know what the hardest part of doing a town hall with Donald Trump is getting him to stop talking after the hour is up.
And a lot of times I've ended up with the full second hour of material that we air like the next day or the day after whenever we can.
Anyway, like a lot of people in the audience, you know, in this audience, I was the first of my family to go to college and watch my dad struggle to get there.
You know, in fact, Biden acknowledged the college claim was untrue more than 35 years ago.
This is when he got caught plagiarizing a speech from Neil Kinnock, a British politician.
And that plagiarism scandal, you know, basically ended his political ambitions at the time and confronted about plagiarism and a number of inaccurate statements at the time.
Biden acknowledged that there are Finnegan's by mother's family that went to college.
And his father also attended the prestigious John Hopkins University for a year.
The York Daily Record reported in 2020, according to the census, 1941 wedding announcement in the Scranton Tribune said that the president's dad attended John Hopkins University.
Biden has also spoken lovingly of his maternal grandfather, calling him an all-American football player for Santa Clara College in California.
Said that in 2022.
And then he just goes out and makes this up.
You know, just like he says, oh, my son died in combat.
No, he didn't.
Or in Iraq, whatever he says.
It's not true.
Or his lie about Amtrak and the conductor.
That's been debunked also.
You know, some of my more favorites are when he lies to us.
I've never once spoke to my son, my brother, or anybody about their foreign business dealings ever.
Whoopsie-daisy.
We have pictures of him actually at the Cafe Milano with some of Hunter's foreign business partners, you know, lying and saying that the border is secure and the border's closed, lying about the economy, lying about pretty much.
They will say and do anything to win this election.
You know what nobody ever asked, Joe?
The question that I was trying to get an answer from Gavin Newson on when I was doing the debate with him and Ron DeSantis, Governor DeSantis, and we played it yesterday when the governor was on, and I tried to get an answer out of, you know, would you support any restrictions on abortion in months seven, eight, and nine?
This is a red herring.
This is a BS question.
You're just trying to cover.
No, it's a legitimate question because at the seventh month, eighth month, nine months, you're now talking about viability, meaning that the child can live separate and apart from the mother's womb.
It's even earlier as science advances.
But just asking on that, would you support any restrictions at all on abortion?
It's not a hard question.
And after pushing and pushing and pushing, because I felt we needed an answer and that the people watching deserved an answer, his final answer was, I just answered the question.
This is between a doctor, the mother, and their conscience.
So that means no restrictions.
Has anybody in the media thought of bringing that up to Biden or do they only want to bring up Republicans and lie about Republicans wanting to eliminate abortion?
Because you're going to hear an awful lot of lying about abortion, just like an awful lot of lying about the economy and an awful lot of lying about the border and an awful lot of lying about everything else because they have nothing that they can run on that they can point to that's successful.
You know, does he still support eliminating charter schools or creating the biggest tax increase in history or the Green New Deal?
Is he still supporting stabbing Israel in the back while they're in the middle of a war against terror?
I mean, think of how profound that is.
And I'm still shocked by this issue that Joe Biden cares more about his own political personal ambition than he actually does about Israel winning a war against terrorists.
I wish there were no innocent people in war that got killed, but I really wish that Hamas didn't attack Israel and didn't perpetrate the worst terrorist attack in their history.
And they have now been in a battle for their survival ever since.
And I read today, justthenews.com, that's John Solomon's site, that Prime Minister Netanyahu said yesterday that Israel Defense Forces, they will enter the city of Rafa in the southern Gaza Strip, where they believe most of the remaining Hamas soldiers are hiding out,
as his country now is continuing in negotiations to free approximately 130 people held captive now for six months by these terrorists in Gaza.
What do you think life's going to be like for them when they finally get released, if they ever are released?
And why would the Biden administration and the entire Democratic establishment turn on Israel and end up basically rushing in to save the terrorist group, Hamas?
Israel is winning the war.
They are winning it.
Wars are very, very horrible, ugly, evil things.
But you got to blame the people that start the war.
You know, to this day, people debate the issue of whether or not America, Harry Truman, made the right decision to end the war with Japan and have victory over Japan.
And that gets to the issue of Hiroshima Nagasaki.
Well, Americans stopped dying and the war ended.
How much longer would it otherwise have gone on?
I can't answer that question.
But Netanyahu, you know, he's got a country that he's got to protect.
They're trying to destroy the entire country.
And we've seen just virulent anti-Semitism on a level that at times sounds a lot like Nazi Germany.
Gas the Jews, F the Jews.
Are you kidding me?
You know, you have a president of the United States interfering in the middle of a war against radical Islamic terrorists that are committed in their own charter in writing for the destruction of the state of Israel that killed innocent men, women, and children in the worst terrorist attack in their history.
Extrapolate out the population.
I've said it many times.
That would be the equivalent of losing 40,000 Americans in a day.
And now their closest ally turns on them.
Nancy Pelosi says we shouldn't even sell them weapons anymore.
What, so they can lose?
Alan Dershowitz wrote about the dangerous U.S. rush to save the terrorist group Hamas.
And he rightly pointed out had the Biden administration maintained the strong support for the destruction of Hamas, they really didn't show it.
He's right.
They had one public posture, but I knew from the beginning behind the scenes with my sources that there was a very different narrative going on behind the scenes.
And that is that the Biden administration was not as supportive as they tried to let on publicly.
But anyway, now you've got the radicals in the Democratic Party.
They're protesting Democrats everywhere.
The pressure is now full bore.
You saw the chanting in Dearborn, Michigan.
Can you imagine this?
I'm watching this.
I can't believe my eyes.
death to america being chanted unreal You know, where are the threats and the pressure on Hamas?
Now we've been living with the threat that Iran is going to involve itself further in the conflict on top of out of Lebanon in the north and Hezbollah.
Again, all of this is a proxy war by Iran against Israel.
Hamas has praised and celebrated the resolution.
They have no intention of complying with its demand regarding the hostages, yet it expects Israel to comply unilaterally with a ceasefire.
Recent data shows that it's not Israel that's causing hunger in Gaza.
It's Hamas.
You know, all of those tunnels, the network of terror tunnels that were built, where do you think the money came from for Hamas and terrorists and the Palestinians to build those terror tunnels?
That was money that was supposed to be earmarked for hospitals and schools and infrastructure, monies that came in part from the U.S. and in part from Israel.
Recent data, according to Alan Dershowitz, shows that it's not Israel that's causing the hunger in Gaza.
It's Hamas.
Hamas has got to be required to surrender, and the people of Gaza have got to be de-radicalized.
He's not wrong.
And he said, except this time with calls of death to America right in Dearborn, Michigan, just as terrorism came, you know, to Russia and Vladimir Putin.
You don't think it's happening, going to happen here?
It's going to happen here because we have people coming from countries like Iran and Syria and Afghanistan and Egypt and Russia and China that are part of the, there are tens of thousands of them that are all part of our biggest geopolitical foes, many of them having ties to terror.
Mike Pompeo said Hamas, when they saw abstention, they were thrilled.
You know, this after the U.S. refused to veto this one-sided anti-Israel, Israeli Security Council resolution.
He said the Chinese Communist Party, they're happy as hell.
The Russians, happier than hell.
The Iranians, beyond themselves, thrilled that the U.S. has refused to stand up for their ally.
It's so telling, and he's right.
It's very, very risky for every American when you see the United States walk away from its long-term strategic ally and friend that was there for us throughout our entire war on terror, and they never wavered, not one time.
Okay, so we get condemnations of death to America chances.
Is that the bare minimum?
You got to be kidding me.
Gretchen Whitmer, she's not made a statement out of the state of Michigan that we've been able to find.
Politico, MSDNC, CBS, the New York Times, NBC, Washington Post, you know, that they didn't even cover the event.
Why wouldn't you cover inside our country people in Michigan chanting death to America?
What part of that isn't a major news story?
You got to be kidding me.
The U.S. has delivered a new proposal for the Israeli-Hamas hostage and ceasefire deal.
Okay.
All they care about now is that Joe Biden is bleeding support in places like Dearborn, Michigan.
100,000 Democratic primary voters in Michigan didn't vote for Joe Biden, and they said none of the above, basically.
And 50,000 in Wisconsin.
And all Joe Biden cares about is his reelection.
That's all that he cares about.
That's it.
Anyway, 800-941, Sean, if you want to be a part of the program.
This was interesting as we look at the lawfare issue.
Even the New York Times is now admitting that Alvin Bragg still has not revealed what felony he claims Donald Trump committed.
Pretty lengthy profile of Bragg.
And anyway, the jury selection begins Monday.
You can tell even the Times is nervous about the weakness of Bragg's case.
And on its own, falsifying those documents would be misdemeanors, relatively minor charges, the New York Times even pointed out.
Alvin Bragg, they point out, hasn't even revealed what felony Donald Trump is being charged with.
Well, how can you start a trial if that's not the case?
Falsifying documents, that's a misdemeanor.
Minor crimes.
Bragg elevated each to charges of felonies by arguing that they were committed to hide or further another crime, which is a pretty unusual move because he didn't charge that.
He said he wasn't required to specify that crime, but added that it might have been a violation of state or federal election law.
Okay, well, if that's the case, that's not his jurisdiction.
I don't know.
Look, I don't think Donald Trump has much of a chance of getting a fair anything in New York or D.C. or Fulton County, Georgia.
I really don't.
But maybe this might be a case where even the most radical New York jury is going to look at how flimsy this is and why it goes back to 2015 and 16 and say, okay, seriously?
31 felonies here?
Unbelievable times we live in.
Well, if you don't think 209 days from now matters, I don't know what I can say or do to convince you.
All right, God forbid you're out on the road, you're with your family.

All right, a lot of ground to cover.
When we come back, we'll look at the bleeding of the Democratic, well, traditional Democratic base and what makes up the demographics of that base and why Biden is not resonating with his traditional base.
Also, later on, James Comer, well, the deadline has come and gone on the issue of the Attorney General handing over the transcripts of the interview with Biden and Robert Hur.
Export Selection
