Billionaire Mark Cuban has a rare defense of President Trump. Congressman Lieu was recently attacking President Trump saying, “Trump claims he is a billionaire. But he can’t pay a $464 million judgment. That means he is lying. How do I know? Math.” Cuban responded, "with a zero-interest rate environment it would’ve been “dumb” for Trump to keep his cash in a bank or money market account." It's clear President Trump is just a victim of attack after attack. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Thank you, Scott Shannon, and thanks to all of you for being with us.
Here's our toll free number.
It is 800-941 Sean if you want to be a part of the program.
So much to get to today, not the least of which is the conversation that is emerging as the date now comes near for President Trump to get 464 million dollars in this in this judgment out of New York.
First, I got to start with what I think is probably the best legal strategy, which I somebody gave this to me.
I think it was a post on X, whoever posted this.
I I wish I can give you attribution.
I don't know who it was.
But there are a lot of people like Professor Derschwitz, Greg Jarrett, former attorney general, uh Matt Whitaker, uh, basically saying that there needs to be a petition to a federal court on the issue of the Eighth Amendment, which would state, quote, excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel or unusual punishments inflicted, and the federal court would need to move swiftly and grant a stay here.
Um that is one aspect of this.
Uh of all people, it is billionaire, fellow billionaire like Donald Trump, Mark Cuban, that has come to Donald Trump's defense in responding to to an ex post by a California Congressman,
hardcore left winger Ted Lou, uh, using a hashtag well Trump is is broke and in a post on X about how hard now the president's lawyers have said they have tried hard to secure the half a billion dollars, the the bond sum in a civil fraud case, despite approaching more than 30 firms.
This is this is not territory these bond companies have ever had to deal with before.
So Ted Lou says, well, he claims he's a billionaire.
How's he gonna pay a four hundred and sixty-four million dollar judgment?
That means he's lying.
How do I know math?
Now, Cuban actually responds to Ted Lew and argues rightly so.
One's net worth is completely different than whatever cash they might have on hand, he says in the bank.
He's right.
Then he says to Ted Lou, Ted, you know I'm no supporter of Trump.
That's for damn sure Cuban rights.
And and he goes on to say he doesn't know how anybody can vote for him, et cetera, et cetera.
Uh he said, but you're wrong on this topic, Ted.
And then he noted that in a zero interest rate environment, it would have been dumb for Trump to keep his cash in a bank or a money market account, also dumb for keeping interest rates, you know, that low for that long, which is a different argument.
But what he's saying is anybody, and I don't you know, rich people that I've met in my life aren't rich by being stupid.
Most of them are pretty smart.
They also have other characteristics and traits that are similar.
They're all pretty much very, very hard working.
Now, you've got to go back and you've got to look at this is unprecedented.
And this is maybe one of the the greatest examples of of weaponization, criminalization, politicizing our justice system that maybe we've ever seen in our lifetime.
I mean, it all starts with a the campaign of an attorney general in New York that runs on a campaign to go after one man, one family, and one organization.
That campaign promise has now been fulfilled.
And then, of course, you have this obscene judgment, and and the case is actually a very, very simple case.
There's a lot of fundamentals to this.
And the argument being is that the Trump organization gave valuations as information in applications to lending institutions and insurance companies that were false and fraudulent.
Okay, on the surface, that sounds like a bad thing.
However, there is context and there is texture and there are facts that actually shed a lot of light on that issue.
And that is that, well, first of all, no financial institution or insurance company is gonna lend hundreds of millions of dollars to anybody without doing their own uh valuations and and that would be their fiduciary responsibility or insure hundreds of millions of dollars in a property without doing their own valuations uh because they have a responsibility to their shareholders, their company.
You're not gonna count on a uh a lendee, somebody that's borrowing the money, and well, I think this I I think my home's worth $50 million.
Sure, you can think whatever you you want to think about your home, but if you can only sell it for two million dollars, guess what?
It's worth two million dollars, not fifty.
But but it's it regardless of this, and here's the the when you look at the facts of the case, you see the great injustice here.
And I want to remind everybody, whether you're a liberal or conservative, a Democrat or Republican, understand this.
If this can happen to Donald Trump, this can happen to anybody, and this should get to the heart of where we are.
Now let's get to the other facts of the case.
What do we know about this case?
We know that in the applications and the contracts, that there was a very there are very specific disclaimers that were put out by the Trump organization, telling the insurance companies, telling the lenders, do not count on our valuations, and even and and that is a big part of this.
That would then put the responsibility where it belongs on lending institutions, on banks, on insurance companies, to do their own due diligence that they have a fiduciary responsibility to do.
Here's fact number two is that there's nobody from any lending institution, nobody from any insurance company that is a plaintiff here or that feels aggrieved in the process of doing business with the Trump organization.
In other words, there's nobody claiming to even be harmed in any way.
As a matter of fact, according to the records of the put forth in the court, everybody was paid back, the interest rates that they asked for, the premiums that insurance companies asked for, and nobody's complaining.
So this was a civil case brought you know by people that that had and a personal agenda against Donald Trump, and yet we don't even have an agreed party in this case.
Then you got to take then you have the disclaimer that kicks in.
Okay, well, if you have the disclaimer and they didn't abide by the disclaimer and they they did use the Trump valuations that turned out maybe to be wrong, well, that would maybe be a little problematic, but frankly, it'd be problematic for the people that lent the money or insured the properties, because they they were told to do otherwise.
And that was very clear.
So you don't have an agreed party, you don't have anybody complaining, even at a Deutsche Bank executive, one of the banks that the Trump organization borrowed money from, actually say that no, um valuations we know are subjective.
It's it's the bank's decision to determine whether collateral or money that they're gonna be lending is uh an uh a risk worth taking for for their for their bank in this case or their insurance company in another case.
But the bottom line is it doesn't happen any other way.
All right, so Mark Cuban is correct.
No no billionaire is gonna have a half a billion dollars laying around.
No bond company has ever had to deal with this type of judgment before, and there's no agreed party, there's a disclaimer that should completely legally inoculate the Trump organization from even the mere allegation that they have in this case, and and then you've got this this whole other issue.
If this case, which supposedly is all about valuations, then we have to focus in now on the process and the litigation that took place and the judge that presided over the case, because he made a determination that in spite of all of the evidence that was sent to him from outside parties that his valuation that Mar-a-Lago,
for example, in Palm Beach is as low as eighteen million dollars is is beyond laughable.
And we have shown you on TV, and I know these numbers are insane.
They just are insane.
The idea that if you wanted an ocean front lot in Palm Beach recently, there was one for sale.
I don't know if it's sold or not.
I don't I don't stay on top of looking at two hundred million dollar properties very often, but uh if that lot is still for sale, it was two acres of dirt on the ocean in Palm Beach, Florida.
Asking price, 200 million dollars.
There's another property, a lot, again, dirt, an acre and a half on a very busy traffic corner lot that had a road, a very busy road in front of the property uh as a barrier between the property and and the ocean.
Uh not exactly the most attractive property from my perspective, and and I love real estate, but it was, I believe, on the intercoastal side.
Okay, well, okay, they were asking last I checked when we put it on TV, that was that they were asking $150 million for that property.
Wow.
And the judge says Mar-a Lago, which is I believe 22 acres total, that is not only on the ocean with a beach club, but also on the intercoastal that has that is in pristine condition.
I've been there interviewing Trump.
I've seen it myself.
It is it is beyond over the top in terms of it's it's it's like a majestic building.
It is a historic property in Palm Beach, and it also has two clubs associated with it.
A histor, as I said, it a historic property.
I mean, it also has adjacent properties built uh adjacent buildings built on the property, cottages, if you will, and uh some 50 some odd bedrooms and 40 some odd bathrooms associated with it, two clubs associated with it.
But let's just take the mere acreage itself.
If a two-acre lot on the ocean is selling for 200 million and you got 22 acres that is Mar-a-Lago of prime beachfront and intercoastal front property, and and you've got a building of that magnitude on it, I mean, you the estimates the people that I've talked to, given me it's way closer to a billion dollars than 18 million dollars.
So, in other words, you have a case where the judge, who obviously is predisposed to hating Donald Trump, is using is far more guilty of using a phony valuation than that that the Trump organization or Donald Trump himself is even being accused of.
That gets to the heart of the case.
Now, you have clearly a lot of effort has gone into this on behalf of the the president to acquire the bond that is necessary, and even though they've contacted 30 companies, they've not been able to secure a bond because they've never seen a judgment like this before.
And here's where I think Jonathan Turley nails it that this is you know mob rule here.
Because the judge is saying, no, no, pay the 500, nearly 500 million dollars uh that I have adjudicated here before you can even get to the next level, which would be at that point an appeal, and and I gotta imagine any fair judge, if you can get a fair judge in New York, that's questionable, would then reduce the massive size of the penalty if not overturn the entire judgment in this case.
Now, do I think this is good business for the state of New York that in many ways is is collapsing of its own weight and leftism, wokeism, liberalism.
Uh no, I think it actually is going to take people like Kevin O'Leary and push him and his investments out of New York.
It's probably why people, billionaires like Ken Griffin has moved to Florida.
It's probably why why people uh like Larry Ellison, I think I read leason recently, has left California, and why these other Wall Street firms are following suit every single day.
They they are getting out of these jurisdictions that have burdensome regulation, massively high taxes, and and they've had it.
Now, the media is giddy because they just hate all things Trump.
He's broke.
He's not broke.
It's just that no billionaire with a in their right mind would ever have a half a billion dollars laying around.
Now, that then in 30 days presents a dilemma.
What you you sell your properties at a fire sale?
Well, well, that would be an unfair penalty if you could even get the sale done in 30 days anyway, which probably would be impossible considering the size and the magnitude of sale we're talking about here.
And meaning it's a big building.
So they they put them in a box in the hopes that I guess they're going to take over these properties.
This is not the United States of America.
This is not justice in America.
You want to know what a weaponized justice system is.
You want to know what a politicized justice system is or a dual justice system is.
This is it.
Look at it closely.
Because if it can happen to Donald Trump, all of you on the left that might be a little giddy over this, you might be next.
Pay close attention.
This is not a constitutional republic if this is allowed to stand.
I mean, these are just very, very interesting times.
Anyway, we got a lot more to get to.
Last night, a federal appeals court late last night issued a two-to-one order that again prevents Texas from arresting illegal immigrants suspected of entering the country illegally.
The ruling comes hours after the 6-3 Supreme Court ruling that cleared the way for Texas to at least temporarily begin enforcing the immigration laws that Joe Biden, if he was well, following the Constitution and the rule of law would be enforcing on the federal level.
And uh anyway, uh then we have an update on Governor DeSantis now that all chaos and hell is broken loose in Haiti, and there are the people of Haiti now trying to make their way to the coast of Florida.
Uh he's now saying that, well, I'll just send them straight to Martha Mathis Vineyard and deploy more soldiers to barricade the coastline.
I mean, it's literally because Joe Biden is so obsessed with not following the laws as written in this country and aiding and abetting in the law breaking, and and committed to that that he's willing to take it to this length and force governors to do the job he should be doing, and then when they do it, then take it to court and sue them.
Wow.
Backwards world.
Well, will somebody maybe notify Maureen Dowd?
Because Maureen Dowd was apparently the pressure point that finally tipped the Bidens, that would be Joe and Joe Biden to recognize their granddaughter that was what, at the time, four years old and in Arkansas.
Anyway, Donald Trump's critics, the ones that hate him the most, they they they don't like his mean tweets.
They say his behavior, it's not presidential.
Okay, but I can't think of a single thing Donald Trump has ever done as disgraceful as what Joe and Joe Biden have done, and that's basically ignored and disowned their own granddaughter.
New York Post reporting on Monday that Joe Biden refused to even acknowledge again his fifth granddaughter, fathered by his son Hunter during remarks at a woman's history month reception.
I see all the uh future Americans, a future for my granddaughter and my four granddaughters.
By the way, they're incredible.
Hello, Joe, you have five.
You should meet my granddaughters.
Oh, I you you think I'm kidding.
I'm not.
Have they ever once even met the granddaughter?
Really?
I mean, the kid's innocent.
I don't care what the circumstances are surrounding his son, the woman that's involved, the mother of this child.
You know what?
It's your granddaughter.
Acknowledge your granddaughter.
Uh we have another awkward wandering offstage moment at an Arizona campaign event.
Joe not making sense yet again.
I mean, let me play some of his gaffs when he was in Nevada.
This is going to get uh not that anybody wants to get to the law to Los Angeles, but people from Los Angeles want to get to Nevada.
So, folks, look, uh I'm going on too long.
I apologize for that.
I apologize for that.
I also met another mother named Latree.
Where's Latree?
Latrice, excuse me.
I really mean everything.
You're doing a great job.
And by the way, you know, I guess.
Let's fight in Toronto or to Berlin or to London or Rome or any major city in America.
Union labor and contracts raise Everybody's income.
Everybody's income.
Now, what have I been saying?
I said the fascinating moment that we're in is every poll is pointed out that Joe Biden is losing big portions of what is historically, demographically, the Democratic base.
A big part of that base is African Americans, Hispanic Americans.
That would include suburban women and young people.
I mean, by 20% or more.
So he is now trying to get back his base.
That's what the State of the Union, you know, jacked up Joe screaming thing was all about.
It wasn't a speech to unify the country, that's for sure.
It was a part as a speech you'd expect at the DNC or out on the campaign trail.
Just red meat for you know the base of his party that is leaving him in droves.
He's he's now so desperate.
Listen to him, you know, trying to bring back Hispanic voters.
Listen to this.
So say it with me.
See Padway, the future is ours.
I uh was sort of raised uh in the Puerto Rican community at home politically.
The diversity of this community, as distinct as the Bogotas of the Bronx, as beautiful as the blossoms of Miami, and as unique as the breakfast tacos here in San Antonio.
I just have one thing to say.
Hang on here.
All right.
I'll tell you what, if I had the talent of any one of these people, I'd be I'd be elected president by acclamation.
Unbelievable.
Now we had uh both Hunter and Jim Biden accused of perjury today by Tony Bobelinski, and apparently they're claiming the perjury will be pretty easy to prove.
Now whether the Republicans act on it, I don't know.
I mean, that would, you know, forget impeachment, that would be criminal referrals.
Uh, considering what we now know, the Democrats, how they use their phony baloney January 6th committee, you know, to send Peter Navarro off to prison.
And I don't know why Republicans, after Hunter Biden didn't respond to their first subpoena, why didn't they hold him in contempt like they did Peter Navarro and Steve Bannon?
I don't know.
Anyway, uh New York Post reporting that Hunter Biden, his brother James, uh Joe's brothers James, were accused of perjury by the lead house Republican impeachment inquiry witness this morning.
Bob Olinski accused his former business partners, both Hunter and James, of perjury during their depositions that they gave last month about the president's alleged involvement in their overseas businesses, and Bob Alinsky contended that while serving as the CEO of Sinohawk, a part of the partnership, the Biden saw it with a Chinese uh state-linked energy firm.
He met Joe Biden at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles.
He gave the exact date, May 2nd, 2017, despite both Hunter and James denying this meeting ever occurred.
And he claims, also claims that Hunter lied about a shakedown text message that he intended to send to an executive at the firm, CEFC, that's the Chinese energy conglomerate, ten days before, what, five point one million dollars apparently was a deposited in accounts linked to Hunter and James Biden.
Then he said there are many other examples of both Hunter and Jim's lies, which I'm happy to discuss during my testimony here today.
Ouch.
So we'll see what happens.
I don't know.
I mean, if you just look at the way this Biden Justice Department is, this is why the the investigation into the weaponization of our Justice Department, uh this needs to be real.
And I'll just say to Democrats, you know, i if you accept this for Republicans, what do you think's gonna happen when Republicans are in charge?
I mean, wouldn't you wouldn't it be logical that the same treatment would be used against Democrats?
I don't want that type of justice.
I want fair justice, equal justice under the law, equal application of our laws.
Uh bad economic news.
Americans now increasingly upside down on their auto loans.
Uh apparently used car prices are are falling.
Credit scores now have fallen for the first time in a decade as Americans are struggling to keep up with payments.
I mean, that's why any appeal that they might make that Democrats or Joe might make to whatever demographic they're bleeding support from is not going to be impactful because people are feeling it every day.
Now we got surging gas prices.
They've now hit a significant milestone.
I guess, you know, back to rating the strategic petroleum reserves, because that's what they did in two 2022.
Uh and and we'll see what happens.
But for credit scores to fall for the first time in a decade, why?
Because Americans aren't saving.
They don't have the ability to keep up with payments.
All those Americans, I don't care what demographic you may fall into.
It's not going to matter if you're not if you're not able to make ends meet every month.
Now on this federal appeals court late night decision last night, two to one.
This is the most amazing thing.
For three years Biden and company said the border's secure and that the border is closed.
Border secure, borders closed.
Then they try to blame Republicans.
No, because you you, with a stroke of a pen undid the policies that Donald Trump put in place that were working.
And they're too numerous to mention.
According to Alejandro Mayorcis.
Two too many to mention.
Anyway, what do you say?
Oh, Biden, it turns out this just break this is just breaking.
Linda's sending me this.
A new GOP ad.
If it turns out what I've done on the economy is a mistake, it's going to show.
He's right.
Listen.
Talk of inflation.
Roma Welling consensus is going to pop up a little bit and then go back down.
No one's talking about this great, great deal.
So again, if it turns out that what I've done so far, what we've done so far is a mistake.
It's going to show.
On issue number one of the economy, it's a pretty poor outlook from the American people.
Biden is not getting good marks on the economy right now.
Only 31% say that they approve of Biden's handling of the economy.
Only 36% believe Biden can make good decisions on economic policy.
That's a 20-point drop since 2021.
I wonder why.
49% bad, 26% good in terms of how people feel about Bidenomics.
It's in the cellar.
33-62 on the economy.
He's almost as much underwater as he's ever been.
78% of voters view the economy negatively, and 67% say the worst isn't over yet.
His handling of inflation, in particular, remains low.
President Biden's rating on handling inflation and higher prices is underwater by 40 points.
A lot of people think the prices would continue to go up under his policies.
you should see a 10-point advantage for Republicans on the issue of the economy.
Wow.
And then on the border, what is the Biden administration...
Not only do they not enforce the laws of our country, they've been aiding and abetting in the law, breaking and facilitating it.
Then that every time that states step up and try and say, all right, well, you're not going to do it, we'll do it.
Then they're taking states like Texas to court again and again and again.
And that's what happened with this appeals court ruling last night preventing Texas from arresting illegal immigrants, you know, uh in in the state of Texas.
And then it gets worse.
You have another judge dropping gun charges against an illegal immigrant in Illinois, uh say sparking further debate about this.
The judge's name in this case, I won't give it out anyway, but it was about possession of an e of a gun by an illegal immigrant unlawfully in the United States when he possessed a handgun, and the court finds that the criminal record containing no improper use of a weapon, nonviolent circumstance of his arrest do not support finding that he poses a risk to public safety that he can't be trusted to use the weapon responsibly.
In other words, the judges declaring that illegal immigrants have a right now to own guns.
And then you've got a a candidate running.
Where's that candidate running from?
I guess the state of Maryland saying that all these illegal immigrants need to be made legal and get citizenship.
This is it could be one of the Senate races that might maybe people will pay attention to out of Maryland.
Not exactly a red state, but David Trona's his name.
He's uh represents the 6th Congressional District, arguing that illegal immigrants should have the same rights under the Constitution as U.S. citizens.
What?
And that we need to welcome all 12 million folks here.
What?
And then and make them citizens and move forward.
They all have rights.
Everybody uh here should also should have also.
This is how this is how insane that things have gotten.
We have an Iraqi immigrant plotting to smuggle assassins through Mexico to kill former President George W. Bush.
We learned this week about people that are admitting to being terrorists and associated with terrorists like Hezbollah wanting to go to New York and build the bomb.
It's not because of Biden vetting that we know this.
It's because the unvetted illegal immigrant told authorities this.
It's you can't even make it up.
Then we have another story out.
We'll get to this later.
You know, you've got you you literally have now advice on how to advising illegal immigrants how to take over Americans' homes.
You have states now trying to force Americans and get Americans to voluntarily take in illegal immigrant families.
Jim Jordan has launched an investigation into the Biden administration's decision to fly a Haitian rapist to America.
What the hell is happening to our country?
Unbelievable.
800 941 Sean, if you want to be a part of the program.
Crazy wild times, and I told everybody at the beginning of the year, buckle up.
It's going to be uh a rocky road and a an emotional roller coaster.
I think it's living up to the hype, and we only have a well, just a little over 229 days to go until election day.
And uh I think this the crazy season is in full force.
Let's put it that way.
Uh anyway, we got a lot of issues that uh we will check in with the one and only simple man himself, self-proclaimed, Bill O'Reilly, uh, the House and Senate.
Shouldn't surprise anybody.
Once again, they're they're looking to throw a big, huge, massive omnibus at we, the American people.
Uh, Senator Mike Lee away in.
He's he's proposing that maybe we have an opportunity to read the bill.
It's going to be over a thousand pages.
It's going to be big, bloated, and full of of nothing but pork and and earmarks, and nobody's going to get a chance to read it before they vote on it.
Sound familiar?
That was Nancy Pelosi in 2010.
You got to pass the bill before you know it's in the bill.
Great.
Republicans, are they going to take part in that?
We'll take note of the Republicans that do.
All right, quick break.
We'll get also your calls in today as well.
800 941 Sean, if you want to be a part of the program as we continue on this busy newsday.
