This is an iHeart Podcast.
All right.
Thank you, Scott Shannon.
And we are from the live free or die state, the first in the nation primary state.
That is the great state of New Hampshire.
And it is primary day.
It is here.
It is upon us.
One thing I always tell people in an election year, you're going to blink your fingers and it's going to be gone.
What are we, 286 six days away from the election?
Anyway, it's it will go that fast.
After this, it's on to Nevada.
Then it's on to South Carolina.
And then we're on to Super Tuesday and a whole bunch of states in one day.
That's going to be a fun night as well.
What this is going to look like, a lot will be decided today.
Now, uh, with all the polls that have recently come out, Suffolk, NBC, 6038, Trump over Nikki Haley.
Trafalgar, that is Robert K. Haley.
He'll join us later on the program.
It's 5836, Trump over Nikki Haley.
Insider Advantage, this is has Trump at his highest number.
That's Matt Towery, who also join us later, uh, 6235.
Washington Post, 5234, Emerson 5337, Suffolk NBC, 5536.
Only one that is an outlier, happens to be a poll that real Real Clear Politics refuses to use as part of their real clear politics average, which is ARG, and they'd have to give their own explanation as to why that is.
Obviously, they don't have faith and confidence in either the methodology or the company or whatever, or they've been off before.
Uh in the case of people that I mentioned, Robert Cahaley, Trafalgar, Insider, uh, Advantage, Matt Towery, they nailed Iowa.
They they they had it down pat.
Uh, latest Boston Globe Daily Tracking poll had Trump beating Haley by nearly 20 points, uh, 57.4, 38.2, 1.6 opting for another candidate.
So, I mean, those are the numbers going into today.
I I would say this, if you're a Trump supporter, manage your expectations.
A win is going to be a win here.
And uh whether there was an exchange on Fox and Friends this morning that I found interesting.
I'm not sure why.
The interview uh started out really friendly.
It was a friendly interview.
And at one point, you know, the question came up, okay.
If you don't win in New Hampshire and you're headed to South Carolina, I'm doing I'm just giving you facts and numbers here.
This has nothing to do with how I feel.
I'm just looking at numbers.
The numbers are that Donald Trump should have a pretty significant victory in New Hampshire tonight.
But polls are polls.
Polls have been wrong.
How many times if polls were right, John Kerry would have been president.
If polls are right, Hillary Clinton would have been president.
I know because I I'll I'll take you back to the year 2004, and the exit polls come out, and it showed John Kerry winning Florida, winning Ohio, basically winning everything.
The exit polls.
And anyway, former vice president at the time, Dick Cheney, was on a plane when the polls came out, hits the ground.
That data comes out usually around a quarter after five Eastern time.
Uh, calls my radio program and is begging people in Florida, the panhandle, uh uh the West Coast of Florida, which tends to be more conservative.
That's Fort Myers, that's Naples, that's Sarasota.
Uh to uh please get out and vote.
Uh, because at that point, remember, Florida is much more of a swing state than it is now, because a lot of people moving to Florida are people that are escaping deep blue states, high taxes, burdensome regulation, heart, horrible schools, and and you know, no bail laws, no law and order, no safety and security.
There are this migration is real.
I'm evidence of it, because I I've had it.
I I know I'm not wanted in New York, and I'm I'm gonna go to a place where people actually like me.
Most people, not everybody.
I can tell you people, there are some people in Florida that don't like me.
And I just say, too bad, uh, it's my home state, too.
Uh, but anyway, so these polls are interesting.
We'll see what happens.
But here's the here's Nikki Haley's dilemma.
Let's say these polls are born out.
If the polls are born out, that means she now has to face the Possibility of going into her home state, which is South Carolina, where she does not have the support of the sitting governor, uh McMaster, where she does not have the support of either senator, that being Tim Scott or Lindsey Graham.
Tim Scott's definitely the the first senator, even though Lindsay has more time there.
Um, and um, oh, did you see that Tim Scott got engaged?
Wasn't that pretty cool?
Awesome guy.
I know him really well.
Um, and anyway, so the back to my thought.
Uh uh, it what happens is gonna matter to her.
Here's what nobody seems to be thinking about.
And and for I don't know election year that you really can't even explain away.
I don't think you anybody has accurately captured what is I what I would call the Trump phenomenon.
I don't think people completely understand it.
Uh, I don't expect people to understand it either, because as I've often said, it defies conventional political gravity.
Donald Trump is not like your average politician, it's just plain and simple.
So, you know, those headwinds were going to be tough for anybody that went up against Donald Trump.
With all that said, there's going to be an open primary in four years.
Donald Trump can only serve one term, one term.
And it sounds like he's going to want to get everything done in one term.
Sounds like he wants to get everything done in 90 days when you really, you know, listen to him and dig down into what he's saying.
So that means now, if I'm if I'm Nikki on Nikki Haley's side, I'm just putting myself in the position, let's say I'm her campaign manager.
I'd be like, okay, if you don't win and you lose by any significant margin in New Hampshire after you lost pretty significantly, you came in third in Iowa.
Now you're looking at the prospect, according to real clear politics, being down 30 in your home state.
Do you want to go into your home state and risk kind of it might be considered an embarrassing moment.
Maybe she wouldn't feel that way.
Um, but if you don't win your home state, it it certainly doesn't look great.
So, and you're running for president.
And or does she think about the future?
Now, I will guarantee you, you've not heard the last of Ron DeSantis running for president.
I promise you he will be a better candidate the next time he runs.
You know, Reagan did not win, I think the first two times he ran.
He came very close in 76 against Gerald Ford.
Uh and and that didn't work out.
And then he just ran away with it in 1980.
But so, but he will be.
He's 45 years old.
He has done a phenomenal job governing the state of Florida.
He's going people are gonna watch him these last three years in office.
They're gonna watch what he does.
And I'm sure he's so much better off having gone through this experience.
One thing Donald Trump said, and he was being gracious to Governor DeSantis, which I did like to see.
He said, This is hard.
This is tough.
I could tell you, I have been out on campaign trail after campaign trail.
It is a grind.
You know, you are going from event to event to event to event to diner to event to bar to diner to event to restaurant to event, and that's your day.
And then some people say, Oh, well, Donald Trump mixed up the name of Nikki Haley and Nancy Pelosi.
Yeah, one screw up compared to a guy that can't put two sentences together.
The same people that have ignored Joe Biden's cognitive decline are the ones that say, see, Donald Trump has a cognitive issue.
Look, look, look, he made one mistake.
I'm like, oh, he made two mistakes.
Wow.
Try speaking for hours a day and not making a mistake.
I absolutely I'm actually a professional at that.
And yeah, I make mistakes.
You know, it's funny.
In the middle of a show, I've got this one across from me, Linda, you know, waving her hands, you know, wonder womaning me with her crossed hands to take a break, and then I got Blair the engineer asking me about my ears and how that's going, and I got Sweet Baby James handing me last minute papers, you know, and and everybody else on the team, you know, telling me this or that.
But I'm just telling you, you get distracted.
There's a lot of things going on.
If you are a candidate, you are busy and you are you are going from event to event to event.
It's hard to do.
It's not, it's not as easy as it looks.
And by the way, if you want the hardest job in the world, because I believe being the president of the United States is the hardest job in the world.
If you want it, don't whine about it.
Suck it up and understand it is a tough, it is a tough blood sport.
There's a reason politics is called a blood sport, because it is.
You have to have a thick skin, you have to be willing to be accused of things that are false.
You have to be called be willing to be called every name in the book.
You have to be willing to be demagogued, all of which is true.
And now you have to worry about the justice system being weaponized against you.
Anyway, Nikki Haley was on this morning on Fox and Friends, and it's a natural question.
If you don't win in New Hampshire, you came in third in Iowa, you're down 30 according to the real clear politics average.
You know, do you think it might be in your best interest to think about another run in four years?
Although that's not the way the question was phrased.
Would you would you get out of the race if you lose New Hampshire?
This is where the interview starts going off the rails a little bit, and she's getting mad.
Listen.
If you don't win today, do you go on to South Carolina?
And I'm from South Carolina, and we love you there.
We love Tim Scott there, but Donald Trump is also loved there.
You don't want to go into your state and lose that state if you stay in the race, because we'd love to see you in some other capacity down the road.
What is your response to that?
Do you get out if you lose today?
No, I don't get out if I lose today.
I mean, first of all, again, I'm gonna say this.
We've had fifty-six thousand people vote for Donald Trump, and you're gonna say that's what the country wants.
That's not what the country wants.
We're gonna have New Hampshire vote today.
They deserve to have the power of their voice said.
There's no scenario where it stops tonight.
Of course not.
We've already made our ad by.
We've put in an ad by.
I don't know how much it is, but it's strong.
We saved our money.
I hoarded money all the way through.
We stayed in garden ends and residence ends.
We were the only one that flew commercial because I wanted to make sure we could run through the tape on this.
I'm gonna fight no matter what.
I don't care how much y'all want to coronate Donald Trump.
At the end of the day, that's not what Americans want.
Americans want a choice, and we're gonna give them that.
I'm really wondering why you think we're the enemy.
Because I've looked at the media.
Look at the media saying, Oh, this is Donald Trump's to have.
Look at the political class all coalescing and saying everybody needs to get out.
That's not democracy.
That's not who we are.
Who we are when have we ever had two people down to two people in New Hampshire and you say, Oh, it's over.
We don't do that.
Nobody's saying it's over.
The question really is if you if you're looking at the data, and say what you will about polls.
When somebody's up by double digits in like every poll, usually that turns out being right.
I I can't tell you how many times I've met delusional politicians.
And I say, okay, I'll either be interviewing them or talking to them, and and uh I'll say, look, you're down 16 points.
Um it doesn't look good.
And they'll say, Oh, no, no, no, no.
Those polls are all wrong.
Fake polls.
I can't tell you how many times in my career I've been told that.
And I'm like, okay, if you want to be delusional, and they really believe to the last minute, well, we we had 300 people show up the night before, and I'm like, 300, wow.
You know, you look at the crowd, I saw Dan Scavino just tweeted out Donald Trump showing up at a polling place, and it became a Trump rally with hundreds of people.
I mean, just impromptu.
It was it was unbelievable.
Uh, we've not seen that enthusiasm for any other candidate.
Um, but I thought it was fair, and and no one's saying I never tell any candidate what whether they should get in or out.
Uh it's not my business.
It's up to them to make their own decision.
However, if I was Nikki Haley's campaign manager, if she doesn't do well tonight, if these polls hold up, and I'll put a big, you know, I'll put big emphasis emphasis on if, then she does she want to go into her home state where she's trailing by 30 points,
according to real clear, the politics average, and does she want to risk losing her home state, which I don't think would be helpful for her if she ever had any desire in four years to run again.
That would be my my friendly advice.
I've nothing against Nikki Haley.
Look, I think at this point, this is this is Donald Trump's year.
And um I just it's it's gonna Be his nomination from what I can see.
We'll know a lot more after tonight.
If she outperforms expectations, if it's a lot closer, she'll definitely have a stronger case to make to stay in for a much longer period of time.
But that will be her choice if she loses badly, in my view.
Anyway, we continue.
We're in New Hampshire.
Uh 800 941 Sean as we continue on.
So do we have a deal, Linda, or not?
Yes or no?
Yes or no?
Let's ask the audience.
No, we're not asking the audience.
I thought you loved your audience.
I love my audience.
Do you not love your audience?
Okay.
You don't want to hear from your audience?
It's a call-in show.
That's weird.
You should probably address that.
Okay.
Um, all I want to hear.
You know what that means?
All I want to hear is yes or no.
When you study means I'm right.
So for we had an equal for equal deal.
No, we didn't.
Which we were gonna live stream Sean from New Hampshire, which we thought would be super fun.
And then Sean was like, I'll do it for 10.
I'm like, do it for 15.
He's like, I'll do it for 10.
I'm like, do it for 20.
And then he's like, fine, and you're coming to the party after the show.
I said, I'll come to the party for 20 minutes if you do the live stream for 20.
He was like, now, 10 for 20.
I'm like, what are you, a liberal?
You want more than what you're giving?
But it's called being a capitalist, it's called a negotiation.
It's not capitalism.
I've now given you your take it or leave it offer.
And I have given you yours.
I believe that the audience will speak in my favor.
Okay.
That's per usual.
We'll find out, but it's not going to matter because the decision has already been made.
And they'll be able to see a beautiful face.
And you're the one that made the decision denying them.
There's Hannity.
You know, all that hair, the beautiful glasses.
I mean, there is a man who actually has a Twitter handle after Sean's hair.
It's called at Sean Hannity's hair.
He actually sent me a present for Liam when I was pregnant with Liam.
Did you know that's the top of the hour, toll-free?
Our number is 800-941 Sean.
If you want to be a part of the program, broadcasting from the first in the nation primary state, the state of live free or die, and that is the great state of New Hampshire.
All right, we decided we are now live streaming just for kicks and giggles, not because I like it.
Um, but on Hannity.com, if you want to watch us broadcasting from this room in this hotel uh in New Hampshire, you're free to do it.
What?
It's also on your social media, right, Blair?
So it's on Hannity on X and Hannity on Insta and Hannity on Rumble and Hannity on YouTube and all the Hannity's, anywhere you can find Hannity.
A lot of Hannities for one Hannity.
I'm just saying, you know.
You know, one of the things that's happening here in New New Hampshire is that as we watch this unfold, when you have an open primary, and this is sort of like a limited open primary, but Democrats, some 4,000 of them, according to the state secretary of state, has you've had 4,000 Democrats switched to either independent or Republican because if you're an independent, you can vote in the Republican primary.
I don't think Democrats or people that really are Democrats should be voting in a Republican primary.
Then you have such a high percentage, unusual percentage of independents that are registered independent in New Hampshire.
They can vote in either primary.
And that means even somebody that's just committed to make that you know, a real I hate Donald Trump person could have a big impact today.
We'll find out later tonight.
Anecdotally, I'm being told turnout is fairly strong around the state as of now.
We'll know a lot more as the day unfolds.
Um and it's a tough position that Nikki Haley is in because it both in New Hampshire and South Carolina, you know, Nikki Haley could find herself in a position where she's counting on non-Republican voters to vote in the Republican primary, and that would give her a lift or put her within striking distance or make this a much closer primary than it otherwise would be.
Now, every poll that I mentioned at the beginning of the program, Suffolk MBC, Trafalgar, that's Robert Cahaley, uh Insider Advantage, that's Matt Towery.
Both of them will be with us later.
Uh, the Emerson poll, uh, even CNN's recent poll.
I, you know, they all show Trump anywhere between 11 and like 27 points ahead.
Um, do I think he's gonna win by that bigger margin?
Probably not, but I think any victory here for Donald Trump is gonna be you know well received.
If he wins by a big margin, it's it's gonna be very clear that it looks like it's gonna be his nomination.
And you know, it does Nikki get out and preserve her chances in 2028.
Donald Trump could only serve one more term.
It's that simple.
Uh but anyway, there was a memo obtained by the New York Times and apparently Haley's campaign manager, uh, her name is Betsy Anke attempted to push back on the argument that Haley's finished, contending, quote, New Hampshire is the best it's going to get for Nikki due to independence and unaffiliated voters being able to vote in the Republican primary.
And she noted in South Carolina there is no party registration, meaning anyone who does not vote in the Democratic primary on February 3rd could vote in the Republican one later in the month.
And more significantly she pointed out that 11 of 16 states that vote on Super Tuesday, by the way, have open or semi-open primaries, and that can include independent voters, you know, and and their fertile ground for Nikki.
So they're actually saying it there are actually groups of people as well that have organized this effort to try and get independence.
I would argue I I look Republicans should choose Republican candidates.
Democrats should choose Democratic candidates.
Independence, if you want to be an independent not party affiliated you shouldn't get to vote in the primary.
I think it should be Republicans choosing Republicans, Democrats choosing Democrats, for example, I was in New York a registered conservative.
I haven't gotten confirmation except I did turn it uh did send it return receipt or PETEX or something.
Um and I registered in Florida.
I didn't have the option in Florida to register as a conservative so I registered as a Republican.
And that means now I'll be able to vote in a Republican primary.
There's going to be a primary to fill George Santos seat that's that happens to be where I I used to live he used to be my congressman how that happened I have no idea I I can't explain that to you.
But anyway Nikki in watching this exchange on Fox and Friends this morning she's she she is saying she's hanging on even if she loses big tonight um on the final day of I guess campaigning yesterday pretty full day for all the candidates and at one final rally Nikki Haley it was covered by CNBC you know you just see a a palpable enthusiasm gap when it comes to these candidates you really do.
And that's becoming very transparent to me also anyway Republicans now are jumping on the Trump bandwagon.
Nobody seems to be backing Nikki Haley.
I mean that's what would make South Carolina hard for her.
She doesn't have either senator on on her team they're supporting Trump.
The governor's supporting Trump and Nancy Mace is now supporting Trump I mean that's a lot of people last night Trump had a unity rally we did cover some of this on Hannity the TV show last night you had Tim Scott and Vivek Ramaswamy and you had governor what's his name a North Dakota Bergham was there.
And you know it'll be interesting to see if Ron DeSantis gets out on the campaign trail I'd love to see him out there.
The Dixville notch vote at midnight all six votes went to Nikki Haley.
It has not been an indicator by the way of how previous races end up it has and it has occasionally but if you look at the recent history it has not always been that way they've not predicted the outcome of a Republican new Hampshire primary since 08 when John McCain won won the midnight vote in Dixville notch.
That's a small town anyway I think there were six votes in the town last night six uh anyway so Nikki Haley's looking to beat the odds look like Ron DeSantis I think she should hold her head high.
It's not easy to run for president.
It is tough it is hard and it should be tough and hard.
Why?
Because you want the toughest job in the world that's what you are looking for.
That's what you are basically the job you're applying for and you know public servants don't really look at themselves as public servants anymore which is annoying to me.
They are there to serve the public end up getting elected and then they fall in love with the idea of being called governor and senator and congressman Congresswoman and you know whatever principles they had when they walked in the door are long gone because they begin to start fixating on their own reelection rather than just simply doing what's right for the country,
which is why I often say I hate term limits as an idea, because I would like to think we have an informed republic, a reform, an informed public in a democratic republic that fully understand how imperative it is to the future of our country that they would passionately want to walk over broken glass and crawl over broken glass to vote in cold war uh you know weather so that their future for
their kids and grandkids are better.
These elections matter.
And if you don't believe they matter, just look at what happened in the you know from the turnover from Donald Trump policies, Trump's policies to Biden's policies.
Um anyway, so Trump looking for a big win.
Nikki Haley's clinging to hope.
We don't know how that's gonna happen.
Uh, the economy border, anybody but Trump, some of those people are here and they're gonna be out there.
What kind of numbers we'll find out.
But certainly when you look at the crowd size, the enthusiasm gap, like in the great state of Iowa.
Um, we're seeing a lot of the same thing here.
Um, oh, you know who's having a big load of trouble is Fannie Willis.
Oof.
This is now becoming a big deal.
Now the judge is ordering the unsealing of the divorce case involving this guy, Nathan Wade, who has paid $654,000.
Now, the $654,000 is an astronaut astronomical amount of money.
Um, and he's being accused of having this improper relationship with Willis and Wade's law firm used funds paid by the county of Fulton County to take Willis on luxurious vacations.
Wade, it turns out was appointed without the required approval of authorities and had no prosecutorial experience.
This guy dealt with like speeding tickets.
And now you're putting him on the biggest case on your docket.
And you see Fannie Willis now trying to get the judge to get out of it.
The judge said he can't rule on whether Willis should have to sit for a deposition in the divorce case until after Wade himself is questioned later this month, but it's not looking good for Fannie Willis, which means it's not looking good for that case, is what it really means.
Now, the New Hampshire Union leader.
Now, this is interesting because people are asking, well, what about Joe Biden today?
Well, Joe Biden's a non-factor here today.
Joe Biden ostensibly, if you're in New Hampshire, by the way, hello.
Uh, if you're if you're from Iowa, especially, I want you to pay attention.
Joe Biden basically took his middle finger and shoved it in your face by deciding uh I'm gonna go with the state that I needed desperately in 2020, that's South Carolina, and I'm gonna start the primary process there and bypass the nation's first caucus state, which is Iowa, and the nation's first primary state, which is where we are here in New Hampshire.
It's pretty unbelievable.
There is a tell-all book, by the way, that has come out.
Did you hear about this book?
Maybe we should get the author on.
Uh, because according to the publisher Shyman and Simon and Schuster, the book is gonna, sorry, it's not Sheiman.
Uh they're gonna reveal just how bad Kamala Harris has been at her job as vice president.
Uh, but anyway, this is uh this is gonna be interesting reading.
It's amateur hour, Kamala Harris in the White House.
It's scheduled for release today.
Um, who's the real Kamala Harris?
How did she ascend to the second highest office in the country, despite her limited experience in national politics and confusing professional history?
There hasn't been a comprehensive examination of her journey to the White House until now.
Uh, and a lot of interesting things are coming out about this.
Uh, apparently the Bidens are not particularly fond of Kamala Harris and don't particularly think that she's really good at her job.
And anyway, uh the vice president apparently is so bad at her job that the first family and key aides are freezing her out of major decisions and consider her ability to help the president's agenda, quote, a joke.
Uh, it goes on to say it dives into Jill and Joe Biden's fraught relationship with the vice president uh as he's running for re-election.
And it says his Kamala Harris hits the 2024 presidential campaign trail in the hopes of securing a second term alongside Joe Biden.
This tell all lifts the lid on the pair's now frosty relationship and how the president and the first lady can't stand nor trust the VP four years after their historic victory.
Ouch.
I would say super ouch.
They contend America's historic first African American female second in command is just a brainstroke away from the presidency and claim the real reason Biden decided to run for a second term is because she's not up to the job and the Bidens didn't want to see her replace him.
Woo.
Now, that does dovetail into the fact that this week it was announced that Gavin Newsom is going to be one of the lead surrogates out on the campaign trail for Joe Biden moving forward.
Now that gets pretty interesting.
All right, for all you people on Hannity.com Land and Rumbleland and Instagram land and Facebook land and what else am I saying?
And YouTube land.
And Instagram.
I said Instagram.
I didn't hear you.
If you would focus and pay attention to the show.
If you guys only knew where that really came from, but I'm not gonna do that today.
I'm not gonna I'm not gonna sell my friend Sean Hannity down the river.
Oh, you do all the time.
I do in private.
But I keep that behind closed doors.
Not on not on live broadcasts.
Okay, so the reality is now that you have this by the way.
I'm not gonna, I'm not going to force you.
This was a gift for me to you.
No, no, no, no.
Ideals a deal.
I'm a capitalist and a conservative too.
I can do it.
And I think you should tell everybody.
I'm just buying a little bit of food for people.
Just say thank you to the crews, uh-huh.
Radio and TV.
And I will be there.
I'm put my top hat on.
I'm gonna show up in this 1790 grand shore.
Better get ready.
You want to tell people why you've refused to fly to New Hampshire?
I don't think we have enough time.
No, we have time.
Take my we have plenty of time.
Well, do you want to tell them?
Because I'm right.
Okay.
Now, they have had a problem.
Boeing has had a problem with one of their airlines.
Do you remember which model it happens to be?
Oh, LJ, give LJ the mic.
LJ just walked into the studio.
So Linda would rather drive 18,000 hours.
What's up, LJ?
What's happening?
By the way, great interview with Trump.
I was funny.
You're interviewing him, and he says, Well, you're telling me exactly what you want to be saying.
He goes, Look, can I tell you something?
You know who you sound like?
And I go, Who?
He goes, Sean Hannity.
I go, Well, he's my mentor.
He goes, Yeah, yeah.
He loves you very much too.
I said, I love him too.
Uh, you've been killing it here.
Thanks.
Wow, did you see Nikki?
Uh uh I know you did because right after they did the interview with Nikki, they went to you, and the reaction was unbelievable.
You know, that was really disappointing because this this is this is prime time, Sean.
Big time.
And you know, you talk about this all the time.
These candidates haven't been vetted.
Uh, and she hasn't been vetted on a presidential level.
And when the pressure turned up, she folded.
And you can't go after uh the place where average day people get their news.
She was offered to come do the diner, and her people swapped it down, said that it was.
She's been offered to debate.
She swatted many of those opportunities down.
I offered her one myself.
She also um insulted the integrity of the show by saying that her people that it was stacked with Trump people that we put them there as a Trump rally.
That's absolutely inaccurate.
How do you get people to what do you say?
I only want are you voting for Trump?
