All right, news roundup, an information overload hour, 800-941-SHAWN, our number if you want to be a part of the program.
So I've been telling you since I got back this year what to expect this year.
Joe Biden won't talk about immigration, can't talk about foreign policy, Afghanistan, he can't talk about Russia, he can't talk about China.
Can't talk about our borders.
Can't talk about the economy.
You know, seven, eight months of Bidenomic talk and millions and millions of dollars invested in a campaign didn't work out particularly well for him.
And they certainly can't run on a record that says, yeah, you're better off than you were four years ago today.
And that's why Joe Biden, when he does speak, which is rare, and then gets lost afterwards and needs his wife to direct him which way to go and getting him off stage.
Now, Democrats, though, they are in a state of panic, as recently evidenced by both Barack Obama, apparently got very animated in a White House visit, Michelle Obama in a podcast saying, I'm terrified about what could possibly happen in the 24 election.
Even James Clyburn, if it wasn't for James Clyburn, Joe Biden likely would not have won in 2020.
He saved him in South Carolina.
And he's saying he's very concerned about the demographic shifting.
Hispanic Americans, African Americans, young people, you know, a big part of the Democratic Party base.
They're leaving Joe Biden in droves, and that's got everybody concerned.
Let me play Clyburn and Michelle Obama.
Obviously, black voters were instrumental in President Biden getting, then Senator Biden, or then Vice President Biden getting the nomination in 2020.
How worried are you about black voters showing up for President Biden in November?
Well, I'm not worried.
I'm very concerned.
And I have sat down with President Biden.
I don't remember.
No, I saw those reports.
I think we should stop insulting the other side, including MAGA.
I've mentioned publicly many times that a lot of people are voting for President Trump, not because they believe in his family values, but they look at some of the things he did.
He grew the economy.
He was right about NATO.
They should spend more money.
He was right about pointing out about China.
He was right about that some regulations do not cause positive output.
So that's why they're voting for him.
I think the Democrats should be a little more thoughtful when they talk about MAGA and say, why?
And then don't act like every attribute of Trump is an attribute of them.
It's just not true.
Anyway, here to analyze all of this, we have Dr. Carol Swain, Senior Fellow for the Institute for Faith and Culture, author of many books.
The more recent one, The Adversity of Diversity.
Trey Penny's back with us, president of the National Fallen Officer Foundation, 22 years retired Dallas police sergeant, current candidate for the U.S. House.
We are supporting his candidacy.
We think the world of Trey.
Welcome both of you back to the program.
Carol, I'll start with you because I've not had you on.
You are one of the people that the former Havid president, Claudine Gay, apparently plagiarized and used and lifted your material, apparently word for word.
What's your reaction?
She finally got let go.
Well, I had written an opinion piece that was published Sunday in the Washington Times that gave the Harvard Corporation and Claudine Gay an F for the resignation letter and for the Harvard Corporation Organization statement surrounding her.
And my lawyer has issued a pen letter to them asking particular questions.
They were supposed to respond by the end of the day yesterday.
So we will move on to the next stage at some point.
What is the next stage, I assume?
Some type of legal action?
Well, there will be some type of legal action.
And at minimum, she violated copyright infringement of everyone that she plagiarized.
But in my particular case, I would argue, you know, that the damages were more extensive because her whole research agenda seems to have been built on my prize-winning 1993 book, Black Faces Black Interest, the Representation of African Americans in Congress that won three national prizes and has been cited in two Supreme Court cases and many lower court decisions.
Well, I've known you for many years.
I've known you for decades, as a matter of fact.
I mean, you are a true scholar and author and a mate.
You have an amazing mind.
You're brilliant.
And I've got to imagine it's probably pretty hurtful that she takes credit for your hard work.
Well, I did not know this was taking place.
The plagiarism happened in 1997, but I would argue that her early articles all revolved around my work.
But I was just informed December 10th along with the rest of the world.
And what angers me is that academia, there's no place for someone like me.
There's no place for someone who is creative and comes up with ideas that cut against what is expected.
But she gets rewarded heavily for just basically putting out what people want to hear.
What I don't understand is I never mind giving attribution.
I always like to cite sources of articles on this program and on TV.
Why would I want to take somebody else's hard work and claim it to be my own when I can just say, hey, so-and-so wrote a great piece.
Let me tell you what it said that I agree with or I disagree with, whatever it happens to be.
It's not that hard to do.
You know, every book I've ever written, I have extensive footnotes and attribution.
Right.
In academia, our statue depends on how many times we get cited.
And so the more citations you have, the more important your work is.
And so when I started with starting with Blackface's Black Interest, published while I was a Democrat, and it was a path-breaking book.
It earned me early tenure at Princeton, but it didn't have the right conclusions.
What I would argue is that Claudine Gay's work seemed to have been an attempt to counter the findings of Blackfaces Black Interest.
And starting with her dissertation, that's where the plagiarism of my work begins in her dissertation.
And my argument is that when I read her work, there are many places I should have been cited because the ideas came from Blackfaces Black Interest.
It wasn't direct plagiarism, but it's clear that her whole research agenda early on was trying to counter what I said.
I argued that political party was more important than the race of the representative and that blacks could represent whites and whites could represent blacks.
And I argued against the creation of majority black districts because it was clear that if you consolidated all the minorities and got a 65% black district, the adjacent districts would be totally, I would say, lily white.
They would go Republican because whites are more conservative than blacks.
And so my book was not something that the progressives wanted to hear.
And that's why people would not want to cite my book.
Many scholars did.
Many scholars built on my work.
She should have cited the work and then refuted it with her data.
Yeah, let me bring in my friend Trey Penny.
And by the way, we're going to watch your congressional race very closely.
I'm glad you're taking this step.
You've been a true leader for many, many years now.
And I think you'd be a great addition to Congress.
What do you make of these shifting demographics?
Because, you know, you got somebody like Joe Biden.
Right now, Donald Trump has a majority of Hispanic Americans in polls voting for him.
I mean, he's lost 20 to 30 points.
You see 20-point drop with African Americans.
You see an even bigger drop among young people.
If the Republican candidate looks like Donald Trump's going to be it, if he holds on to even half of that loss of Biden, he easily wins and he probably wins by a landslide.
Now, I know we've had false hope before that there'd be demographic shifts because I would argue that the Democratic Party, you know, they go knocking on people's doors in cities and states and minority communities at election time, and yet they do nothing to solve the issue of law and order and safety and security or fix the schools that are broken down and dilapidated in many communities.
And I don't think they've been served well by these Democratic promises.
You're absolutely right, Sean.
The bottom line is the Democrat Party has essentially done the bait and switch on a black community.
I mean, what they've done is they show up and they say, oh, we're here to help.
And then behind the scenes, they're creating the conditions to make them need help.
So the black community is essentially caught on.
Look, I'm in the black community all the time, actually trying to move voters over to the conservative side, getting people to think about what is the Democrat Party, what have they given you all these years?
I mean, they made all these promises, but at the end of the day, what do you end up with?
I mean, that's the same thing.
You know, I grew up under that type of narrative where no one was promoting any type of, look, I'm an academic and I always talk about, you know, being academically sound and finding ways through education to enhance your opportunities in life.
But nobody's talking about that.
They weren't talking about it then, and they're not talking about it now.
So we got to stop giving power to these democratic structures.
And all they want to do is promote social issues for the black community so they can keep the black community wanting.
They think the black community are going to continue to run to their direction because they have these social agendas that they can push on them.
But the problem with this, Sean, is that now they have created a dynamic that they're not going to be able to run from.
This immigration crisis is going to create a real issue for the black community because you know what?
Now it's not about a social issue.
I don't care about the social issue where you're telling me, you know, my black issues are no longer black issues anymore.
Now I got to worry about you taking my resources and giving it to people that are not even from this country.
You think about all the states like California that are now trying to give insurance, health care insurance to illegal immigrants.
And you got to ask yourself, what is the black community thinking?
Because they're already struggling with health care.
We saw during COVID where the comorbidities in these communities were demoralizing these communities where blacks were dying at a higher rate than anywhere else.
And you got to ask yourself, what is this going to do when you brand this type of dynamic and you compound a system that can't afford to take care of its constituents right now?
Quick break, more with Trey Penny.
Again, pennyforcongress.com if you want to help out his rundown in Texas.
And also more with Carol Swain on the other side.
Dr. Carol Swain as we continue.
Hey, what if your home's title, which is the legal document that proves you own your home, is in some criminal's name?
Well, that's called home title theft.
And criminals all over the world can find your home's title online, and then they'll forge your signature.
They'll take out loans against your home or even worse, sell your home.
Now, how do you know some criminal is not taking over the title to your home?
You can find out with sign up at home titlelock.com and use the promo code Sean S-E-A-N.
All right, we continue now with Dr. Carol Swain and our friend Trey Penny, who is vying for a position in Congress or supporting his candidacy, District 3.
If you want to go to his website, it is pennyforcongress.com.
Look at the numbers, though.
And I'm citing in this case, USA Today Suffolk University poll.
And all right, if you go back to 2020 and you look at the African-American vote, Joe Biden got 87% of that vote.
If you look at where he is now, he's at a low of 63%.
That's a precipitous and dramatic decline with Hispanic voters.
You know, well, he trails Donald Trump by five points, 39-34.
In 2020, you know, he swamped Donald Trump with that demographic group two to one, 65 to 32 percent.
Right, right.
Look, I can say this, Sean.
The voters are looking.
They're not going to go out and vote for Joe Biden.
First of all, there's nothing exciting about the guy.
He can barely walk.
He can barely talk.
I mean, you think the black community are naive or that they're blind?
They don't see this.
They see our president falling apart in front of their faces.
They see this.
They're not going to go out and vote for that.
And what I would encourage the Republican Party to do is to make these enrolls.
Look, this is not the 2020 election or 2016.
Guys, this is a whole nother dynamic.
Now we have to start reaching out to that demographic.
We got to bring that demographic in to keep them closer to us because we're going to be the ones to give them that economic prosperity that they're looking for.
We can say to Joe Biden that we're not going to allow you to cost American taxpayers $451 billion in this illegal immigration crisis.
We're not going to let you put that burden on us or our kids.
We're going to come back.
We're going to fight for a president and leaders that are going to fight for our interests to make sure that we're able to take care of our kids, make sure our kids have the best education, the best opportunities to succeed in life.
And that's where I come in at.
That's why I'm running for Congress this cycle because I'm proud of going to these same politicians, asking them to do the workforce.
Our communities are being overridden with crime, Sean.
We don't have politicians in D.C. fighting to address these issues.
Well, just sit back and be ready because, you know, it seems there's very few groups you can openly attack and say anything you want, but African-American conservatives are attacked with regularity.
Carol Swain, you've experienced that your entire career, sadly.
I have.
And I would say that a lot of the blacks that have fallen away for the Democrats, they will not just naturally vote for Republicans.
But there is some enthusiasm that's been there for a while among black men for Donald J. Trump.
And I think that if the Republicans want to capitalize on the fact that blacks are so disaffected, they don't need to just focus on black issues.
They need to focus on American issues.
And if you look at crime, if you look at the rising cost of living and illegal immigration, we can go down the list of issues that impact all Americans.
And I think that treating African Americans just like other Americans who are concerned about their children, education, that's the way that you get them to vote for Republicans all the way down the ticket.
Amen.
Amen to that.
I appreciate both of you, Trey Penny.
Thank you.
Carol Swain, we love having you as well.
Happy New Year to both of you.
800-941-Sean is on number.
You probably spend too much money over the holiday, but let not your heart be troubled because I have a great way to save a lot of money and you're not going to sacrifice service.
And it's simply by making the switch away from the big carriers, Verizon, AT ⁇ T, T-Mobile, to PureTalk, a veteran-owned company that shares your values.
The best part is you're getting the same exact 5G network as the big carriers, the same cell towers as the big carriers.
And the average family is saving for the same service close to $1,000 a year.
And right now, PureTalk has unlimited plans starting at only $20 a month.
Try and get that at a big carrier.
Good luck with that.
Now, the switch, it is simple.
It is fast.
It is easy.
Just dial pound 250.
Say the keyword, save now.
Do it now.
You save an additional 50% off your first month.

Sean Hannity and the breaking news you might have missed today.
It's Sean's Insider Information.
Hannity is on right now.
25 to the top of the hour.
Your call's coming up straight ahead.
All right.
The administration under Joe Biden wants you taxed to the brink and under the thumb of his IRS and the Democrats wanting to double the size of the IRS and, of course, controlled with a digital dollar.
Look, there's many, many thousands of hardworking, patriotic Americans.
They're kind of doing what I've been doing my entire adult life.
As soon as I was able to start saving even a little bit of money, I put a percentage of the money I was saving into gold and silver, and I'm glad that I did.
As a matter of fact, I recently made a purchase from our friends at Goldco because I continue with that strategy today.
Anyway, people like me are calling Goldco in droves, and they're making it happen.
Goldco is a seven-time Inc.
winner.
And by the way, they've placed over $2.5 billion in gold and silver.
I mean, they're the real deal, and they're a pleasure to deal with also.
They make everything simple and easy.
Right now, by the way, because you listen to this show, they're giving an offering up to $10,000 in bonus silver, but only while supplies last.
Anyway, give my friends, I'm a customer, Goldco, a call, 855-815-GOLD.
Learn how you can get started today.
Do your research into how this could be a good part of your portfolio.
Tell them your friend Sean Hannity sent you, and you can qualify to win up to $10,000 in that bonus silver.
Anyway, it's on a first-come, first-served basis.
Call GoldCo today, 855-815-G-O-L-D, 855-815-GOLD.
Give them a call right now.
George, Free State of Florida, George, how are you?
Welcome aboard, sir, and glad you called.
Happy New Year.
Hey, happy new year, Sean.
Hey, I can't think of a better way to start off the new year as a resident of Florida.
Congratulations, you made the move.
I finally made it.
I've been threatening to do it, wanting to do it.
I had obligations that prevented me from doing it, but here I am.
This is now my full-time home, and I'm proud to call Florida my home, my residence, my domicile, whatever you want to call it.
But yeah, and I'll tell you, I'm shocked it's gotten so much news.
I guess people are bored in the news industry if they want to talk about where I live, but whatever.
I'm glad to be here, and the people have been great.
Yeah, you got so much great opportunity down here, Sean.
I think you're about two hours south of me.
And I mean, it's not only when we say the free state, you got extra more free money in your pocket, but you also, we got the law and order state.
So you have the freedom of your First Amendment here that you don't have to worry about anybody protesting your private residences like around the country and stuff like that.
And also, we got our governor does a great job keeping things open and our work and the construction.
It's just a great state to be in.
And I'm just so happy for that.
But I wanted to, the other reason why I called is one of my son, who during the COVID time, he worked at a restaurant as a runner.
And with the, with, and one of his, he befriended a Hispanic gentleman in the kitchen, helped him a lot, took him back to home.
And he confided with my son that he entered the country illegally about 10 years ago.
And he described how his ordeal, where he left his home with six other people, each carrying two gallons of water through a desert.
And at the other side of the desert, only three of them survived.
And he talked about you mention the stuff that he was made to do and make choices, but it was a gruesome.
And he told my son that he told his family back home, do not make this trip.
It is not worth it.
And I'm just thinking about the border now.
That we have an administration that dangles his carrot.
And we see what happens at the border, but behind the border, all the lives that are being lost.
And they're exploiting the vulnerable, Sean.
And we don't see that because of our legacy media won't report, you know, won't report.
And we don't have a full-fledged alternative to the monopolized mainstream media.
And so I think that's getting lost in the cracks of all the victims to this just because I think, as you say, the Democrats played the long game, and they know that maybe in time they'll have a lot of people scattered throughout the country.
And these purple areas, they can turn to blue and things, but they're sacrificing people's lives, not only their lives, but with sex trafficking and breaking up families.
And it's just, it's just terrible.
This is why elections matter.
If you want to change it, everybody hearing you, everybody listening to me, you have an opportunity before you, and that's coming in November.
And when all's said and done, it's going to matter who gets elected.
That's the only way we can implement change in this country.
Otherwise, I would argue not only does it stay the same, it's going to get dramatically worse.
That's my opinion.
And I think the record proves it.
And, you know, I'm just hoping that people have had enough of this.
How much more of this garbage, how many more self-inflicted problems do we want to bring on ourselves?
At some point, you've got to hit rock bottom and say they're awful.
What they're doing is awful.
What they're doing doesn't work.
What they're doing is hurting.
What they're doing is dangerous even.
Anyway, appreciate it.
Good call, my friend.
Thank you for your warm welcome.
Bill, Free State of Texas, next, Sean Hannity Show.
What's going on, Bill?
Hi, Sean.
Thanks for taking my call.
I really appreciate it out of nothing, literally.
You can't negotiate with them.
Our people in Congress can't negotiate with them or make a deal with them or think that they're going to enact laws that were in place when President Trump left office or anything else.
The only thing that we can do is either cut their money off completely where they don't have any money to do this with anymore and vote them out of office because we're in a Cold War with these people and nothing else is going to work.
And to think that it is just foolish.
Well, look, let's be even more outspoken than this.
Let's call this what it is.
They are what they're doing is unconstitutional.
It is illegal.
And it's also endangering our country.
And the national security risk that we are taking on as people flooding the border now from China and Russia and Egypt and Afghanistan and Syria and Iran does not make me sleep well at night because we all lived through 9-1101.
I don't want that to ever happen to this country again.
And for some reason, Democrats seem perfectly comfortable with this system.
I don't know why.
They're not critical of it.
They're not willing to take the tough stand and enforce the laws that we have.
You know, it's all fine and good to go after Alejandro Mayorkas.
He's the DHS secretary.
But, you know, the buck on this ultimately stops with Biden.
And Biden and Kamala Harris and Mayorkas and Circleback Jensaki and Karine Jean-Pierre, they've all been lying to us.
The border's closed.
The border's secured.
Border's closed.
Border's secure.
They're lying.
And we're having all these unvetted people in, and it's a self-inflicted problem.
They did this as a matter of policy.
They decided to ignore the laws of our country, our own constitutional order.
They're the ones that have been aiding and abetting in human trafficking.
They're the ones that justify it.
They're the ones that blame Trump and blame climate change and blame Greg Abbott and blame pretty much everybody but themselves.
And we're the ones that have to deal with the mess that they've created.
Now, even Democrats that have to deal with this and can't afford to deal with it, you know what?
They're getting fed up with it.
This should be a 90-10 issue.
And the 10% that would say open borders, they're just out of their minds anyway.
The American people believe in law and order.
Fundamentally, the American people are good people, and they don't like what they see happening.
We have a process.
Maybe we can expedite our process.
Maybe we can make improvements to the process, but you have to do it legally.
You have to respect co-equal branches of government.
You have to respect the law as it is.
You can't just enforce laws you like and ignore the laws you don't like.
And if I did it or you did it, we'd be in jail.
Well, with the appropriations that they just passed, I think it'd be fine with most people out here if they let the government, 90% of it, shut down permanently.
Because you can't just keep kicking the ball down the road.
Well, that's exactly what we're doing.
We're kicking the ball down the road.
And you know what?
There's going to be a price to pay.
Not going to be pretty.
Anyway, Bill, appreciate you being with us, my friend.
800-941-Sean, our number, Eric in Utah.
Eric, I know you're probably heartbroken out there that Mitt Romney is not running again.
Yeah, it tears me up inside.
It's killing you.
You're losing sleep over it.
You're agonizing over it.
Yes, yes.
I am.
We got to get something to happen here to make him want to come back.
Well, I don't think he's coming back.
It's a sarcasm.
It's a good thing.
What's on your mind today?
Well, I had a thought.
What if the migrants, asylum seekers, families, doctors that are coming across the southern border received a flyer when they came across stating, maybe articulating how a vote for the Democrat Party is a vote to make the country like the country you left?
Maybe the Democrat Big D party might do something about it.
Maybe stop it.
Do you really think that's going to happen?
Because I don't.
No, I mean, it wouldn't be the Border Patrol or anybody like that.
But I just thought, you know, if they got a flyer stating, you know, this is what happens if you vote Democrat, because you know they probably will be able to.
Well.
Look, I think Democrats, you know, I think there's certainly a selfish aspect to this.
They want to be seen as the heroes.
They want to be seen as, yeah, we're the ones that are going to let anybody into the country unvetted.
And somewhere down the line, they're going to be pushing for amnesty.
I think that every Joe Biden illegal immigrant that has been aided and abetted by Joe Biden needs to be identified and deported.
What about the children, Mr. Hannita?
You're so cold-hearted.
No, I'm not cold-hearted.
You know, we had questions about what should happen to the 12 to 15 million illegal immigrants here prior to Joe Biden being president.
And, you know, Donald Trump closed the border.
He sealed it off.
We had the lowest numbers ever.
They inherited that.
They've made every excuse in the book.
Oh, we need comprehensive reform.
Oh, the climate change caused it, or Greg Abbott caused it, or Trump caused it.
And none of it is true.
This is of their own doing.
And then I would assume they think if they offer something of great value, you can buy citizenship in other countries.
Did you know that?
You may not know that.
If you invest enough money in a country, and different countries have varying systems of buying citizenship and buying a passport and saying that you're becoming a citizen, some it's actually relatively inexpensive.
And then other countries make it very, very difficult.
Like I think in Australia, New Zealand, you've got to live there six years before you can even apply for citizenship.
And you have to spend X number of dollars in terms of building jobs and building up their economy.
You've got to offer them something of great value in return.
And Democrats would want to just give it away for free because I can't think of a better place in the world yet to live but the United States of America.
And they just want to give it away.
Now, if you got citizenship, if you had open borders with one party, let's say it was the Republican Party, and they gave you amnesty and then you became a citizen, would you tend to vote Republican or would you tend to vote Democrat?
I think you'd probably want to reward the people that gave you the free citizenship, don't you?
Which is why you need to get the word out to them.
Sounds like a...
It's what happens.
Sounds like a quid and a pro and a quo to me.
Good call, my friend.
800-941-Sean, if you want to be a part of the program.
Mark, Indiana, we got about a minute for you, minute and a half.
How are you?
How are you doing, Sean?
Thank you for being an American that another American would like to talk to.
Thank you, my friend.
God bless you.
You, sir, are a great American.
What's on your mind?
Well, it just kind of bothers me that the Democratic National Committee seems to think so little of us Americans that they push Joe Biden as the best and, you know, most awesome solution to all the problems in our country.
They are the problems in our country.
And the damn thing got better the past three years.
Nothing that they say on TV is true.
The economy is not doing well.
Everybody is suffering.
Every possible thing that you can look at financially, every American's hurting.
When they come out and they tell you how great things are, how stupid do they think we are?
They think we're pretty stupid.
It's pretty obvious.
And, you know, they think they're going to get away.
Their strategy now, they have telegraphed all of it.
They are going to run on those evil, rascally, MAGA Republican Nazis.
They're going to go after Trump, Trump, Trump, and January 6th, January 6th, demagogue abortion.
And then the usual playlist, racist, sexist, et cetera, comes into play.
That's their strategy.
But they've had, but by that time, they'll have had four years to fix the country.
Are you better off than you were four years ago?
That's the question they don't want to have to answer.
They don't want to hear our answer.
Well, you get a chance to give them that answer whether they like it or not in November.
That's why this election matters.
And the consequences of this upcoming election will be, you know, they're saying, oh, democracy's at risk and we may never ever vote again.
And Donald Trump won't let voting happen.
It's all a bunch of crap, hyperbole, lying, distortion.
You know, it's who they are.
It's what they do.
They can't win on issues.
Americans don't support them on policy.
They don't like the direction of the country.
Now the question is, will Republicans get their act together enough?
And that's something that's usually in jeopardy also.
All right, good call, my friend.
Appreciate it as we continue.
All right, that's going to wrap things up for today.
