Illegal Immigrants in Chicago - September 22nd, Hour 2
Gianno Caldwell, Fox News political Analyst and author of Taken for Granted: How Conservatism Can Win Back the Americans That Liberalism Failed, and Sara Carter, Fox News Investigative Journalist, are here to talk about the Biden administration's efforts to support illegal migrants over American citizens. And now we have 30 million going to Chicago, while hot mess Hochul flip flops on immigration. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

All right, our two Sean Hannity show toll-free.
Our number is 800-941.
Sean, you want to be a part of the program?
We've never seen anything this bad in our life.
Grand total now.
We probably, under Joe Biden three years in office, will be at 8 million illegal immigrants in this country.
No background checks, so to speak.
In Eagle Pass, the mayor warns of migrant chaos that's totally engulfing the city.
You know, we've seen robberies.
They've broken into homes.
And I think the biggest story comes out of the city of New York and the state of New York.
It's pretty amazing.
It's pretty remarkable that the governor, Kathy Hochul, you know, we really need to stop the incoming illegal immigrants.
This is unsustainable.
Okay, that's nice.
However, she originally called the migrant crisis a great opportunity we have before us.
Listen to that first.
We're pleading, saying, this is a great opportunity here in the state of New York to solve two problems.
How to help these people get on their feet and support their families.
And my God, who in this city has not come from somewhere else, their family?
That's what happens in one generation.
One generation.
People's lives are transformed.
They're changed.
That is the story of New York.
And let us have the power to give that same right, that same opportunity to people to say, yes, you're part of our family.
We welcome you.
And you're going to help us get to a crisis.
The shortage of workers, we can solve for it.
And that is the great opportunity we have before us today.
Because New York City has had this pull, this 40-year-old right to shelter, people have come to New York City.
And that's another area.
The mayor and I need to look at this together.
And we are looking at it and trying to figure out a way that we can say, this was intended to help homeless people stay off the streets, help families, but it was never intended to be an unlimited universal right and obligation to shelter the entire world.
And that's the way it's been interpreted.
So once that gets fixed, as well as this opportunity to get the Venezuelans to work, it should take a lot of pressure off.
But we really need to stop the incoming.
We're still seeing about 3,000 a week.
That's absolutely unsustainable.
We're working so hard, spending millions of dollars, state dollars, to build shelters to house 3,000 here, 2,000 here, 1,000 here.
It's still not enough.
So the word has to get out that New York has always been that place of welcoming immigrants.
All of us came from somewhere.
Our parents didn't, grandparents.
But there is a limit to who we can house at this time.
And we need the rest of the country to step up.
But most importantly, it starts at the border with enforcement.
Oh, it starts at the border.
She's the very same person, along with Mayor Adams, that were welcoming people to the great state of New York.
All of a sudden, the right to shelter, 40-year law, New York.
Now, all of a sudden, they're seeing the light.
Now they want to get rid of it.
Now that we have 8 million and hundreds of thousands are landing in New York State, $40,000 per illegal immigrant, the estimated cost, the mayor in New York City saying it likely will be just for the city alone, $12 billion in 18 months that they're going to spend on illegal immigrants.
Oh, what a shocking observation.
Now that it actually, they've gotten what they wanted and what they said they wanted and the ideal that they stood for.
And the criticism Republicans took for not sharing that view that we ought to have open borders were just repulsive and ostracized.
Boy, how quickly her tone has turned.
Now she has doubled down on the end of New York's right to shelter law.
It is creating an untenable situation.
Anyway, with us, Giano Caldwell, Fox News political analyst, author of the bestseller, Taken for Granted How Conservatism Can Win Back the Americans that Liberalism Failed.
Sarah Carter is with us, Fox News investigative reporter.
She's been on the ground, you know, reporting for this show and for my TV show.
I can't even, probably well over 100 times at this point.
And she's seen it all up close firsthand.
Sarah, let's start with you.
As bad as 2000, I'm sorry, 2020 was, Joe Biden's, or 2021, as bad as that year was, 2022 was worse.
Now 2023 is even worse.
And this is what we're seeing right now is the worst it's ever been.
And you've been there, you've seen it.
And I love the fact that, you know, it's not Governor Abbott that's sending the illegal immigrants to New York.
Most of those illegal immigrants, some 87% were sent by Joe Biden.
Well, absolutely.
Absolutely.
And you brought up just such a great point right there, Sean, because I think that's what the American people really need to understand.
And I know all of your listeners do understand this.
This border is open because of President Biden.
This is Biden's policy.
And not only that, there are people within the government and outside of the government and private services and in NGOs, non-governmental organizations that are making millions off of this.
I mean, we've allocated so much money just for fiscal year 2023.
The Department of Homeland Security is going to be providing $363.8 million of available funds to non-federal entities, and it's going to just to take care of the migrant arrivals that are coming into communities.
And I want people to put this into perspective.
That's just DHS.
That doesn't even include the over $700 million that's been allocated through FEMA, money that's going to non-governmental organizations in cities like El Paso and other places across the country where they need to put people in beds and they need to house them for winter and they have to put children into schools and, you know, and then they have to take care of their health care.
And I mean, I just imagine it's an implosion of humanity.
And to top it off, and we've reported this so much on your show, Sean.
I mean, you've been one of the few, the few that has actually told the truth about what is happening at the border, the humanitarian crisis, all of the children that have lost their lives on this horrific journey to America, a journey that should be done legally with the law.
Our government is not following the law.
President Biden is breaking the law.
And I agree with Stephen Miller and everybody else who says, I mean, he is running the biggest trafficking organization on the planet.
And he is working side by side with the drug cartels and the human traffickers because he will not shut down that border.
And now we see with Governor Abbott and what's happening at our border and the thousands of people that are pouring into our country.
We don't even know where they're from.
We don't even know how to do background checks on them.
I've got immigration and customs enforcement officers telling me they're going to retire, that they're ready to leave because nobody is allowing them to do their job and they don't want to be responsible for the next 9-11 or something, frankly, far worse.
I think it's now pretty much inevitable.
I think there's enough people on the terror watch list that they caught and those that they didn't vet at all.
I mean, they have no knowledge or background on anybody, maybe radical associations they have.
So we know terror cells are emerging in America.
Yeah, plotting, planning, scheming, their next 9-11.
But, you know, Giano, it's also, let's see, you get free food, clothing, housing, health care, education, transportation, all compliments of the taxpayers.
I love this.
Now there's going to be the New York State Democrats are pushing for an illegal immigration fund tax.
I mean, how much will this will the American people take?
How impactful will this be on the 2024 election?
Well, I think especially in Democrat towns like Chicago, for example, which is seeing 13,000 migrants arrive.
Wait a minute, wait a minute.
In Chicago, didn't they just throw them out and send them to the suburbs?
Well, there's still many of them that are still within the city of Chicago.
Yes, the mayor came up with a plan to try to send many of those migrants into the suburbs, but there's a lot of migrants that are still in Chicago, especially places like the south side of Chicago where black residents have argued and said, look, you bring in folks in here.
We don't know who they are.
They've not been vetted.
They're coming into our community.
Some of them are committing crime.
Some of them are beating up our people.
And this is a disrespectful action to have all of these folks come from all over the world into the city of Chicago, but you won't take care of the homeless population that has been there for years and years and years.
This is what the black residents in the city of Chicago have been saying.
And when we talk about the crime numbers, we already know the city of Chicago is in a crime crisis.
Just this year alone, we see a 42% increase in robbery victimization, 17% increase in aggravated battery victimization.
You see a 12% increase in all violent crime.
And the numbers are set in terms of the shooting set to overtake what happened last year, just this year alone.
We're only in September.
So they're already dealing with a lot.
You guys, Chicago, that they call a sanctuary city for years.
Meanwhile, there's no sanctuary for the people who live there who are being murdered in droves daily.
They don't have sanctuary.
They don't have peace.
And now you're prioritizing this other group of people who are coming there.
And of course, we see city officials who are somewhat trying to push back, whether it be in New York, Chicago, or any of these liberal cities.
They've called themselves sanctuary cities.
And now they're being exposed, Sean, right?
They're being exposed because they pretended to care.
It sounds good to say we have a sanctuary city when you don't have anybody, many people in there to take care of.
But now that you're seeing your budgets are being drained, the people that you rely on to put you in office every year are upset.
On their hand, that has to impact the election next year.
All right, quick break more with Giano Caldwell and Sarah Carter.

All right, we continue with Gianno Colbo.
We continue with Sarah Carter.
An unmitigated disaster at the southern border.
Even New York now wants to get rid of these outdated laws right to shelter.
The ones that the governor and the mayor of New York City just fully supported and have done very little or nothing to fix it.
Now they're against them.
And now they're actually saying this is wrong.
They should go to other places.
Don't come here.
Go to some other place.
Wow.
How welcoming.
By the way, Giano, next week in Chicago, the House Judiciary Committee is holding hearings.
You know, we've been scrolling the names of people shot, shot, and killed every single week.
Names you've never heard of.
Why is it we never hear the names?
I've been scrolling these names on television since 2009.
Nobody recognizes any of the names, but that's kind of the point because Democrats have not lifted a finger.
Biden, Obama, in all those years, they were president and vice president.
Let's lift a finger to stop the crime in Chicago.
And yet, the only time we hear about any type of police activities is if they can politicize it.
Oh, they'll politicize it.
Anyway, it's just insane, and we look forward to your testimony on that issue.
But it kind of dovetails into this, too, because you mentioned something that very few people seem to be talking about, Sarah, and that is the national security risk here.
I've talked to people at the border that work on the border, Tom Holman, who you've partnered with, and so many others.
They're saying it is a known fact.
They've even now later, after the fact, identified people on the terror watch list that were allowed into this country.
Yeah, I can tell you, Sean, you know, I've talked to senior government officials while I'm here in Washington, D.C., and I'm talking senior government officials who are absolutely concerned about this right now.
They know that we have intercepted people from al-Qaeda, people connected to ISIS, people connected to our adversaries like China.
I have heard of, you know, the FBI investigating migrants who are inside the United States right now, who have been actually actively spying at some of our installations.
I mean, we have really made ourselves susceptible to our adversaries and to our enemies.
And this is a national security disaster of the biggest magnitude.
I was asking someone the other night, and I would disclose their name.
I eventually will.
I mean, I have to ask permission first, but is somebody very senior in our government?
You know, how serious are they taking this concern?
I mean, because we're watching this as Americans and we're wondering, well, who's going to shut that down?
Who's going to shut this border down?
And they said it is so serious that it's not a matter of if we will be attacked.
It's a matter of when.
That is how serious our government believes it is now.
I mean, the heightened concern, it's red alert for them.
It's red alert.
And the fact that our commander in chief, President Biden, has decided that this is his policy really has to give people pause.
Why would the president of the United States of America or his administration, people like Lisa Monaco who are working with him and others in the administration that very well know how dangerous this situation is, why would they continue to allow it to happen when their only job is to prevent it from happening?
And that, I think, is the biggest question out there.
That is a question that has not been answered.
That is a question that they have refused to answer, even when Peter Ducey has gone up there at the White House press and has asked, you know, Corinne Jean-Pierre this question.
They don't answer it.
They gaslight the American public and they lie about it.
And I tell you this, that is going to be a shocking day.
And that'll be the day that somebody is going to, when something happens in this country, that somebody will have to answer for this.
But unfortunately, I feel like, you know, it's going to require somebody new in the White House to put a stop to this before it does happen.
And I, you know, and some people say there's, it's probably inevitable right now.
The border's been open now.
We're looking at over 10 million people, according to Congressman Andy Biggs.
That's his new estimate that he's received from DHS.
Over 10 million after the Biden administration ends or in 2024 after his first four years.
Anyway, I appreciate both of you.
Great reporting from the border.
And we'll look forward to you, Giano, testifying before the Judiciary Committee next week.
And we'll get an update from you on that.
For those that don't know, Gianno Caldwell lost his little brother, shot and killed in Chicago.
And frankly, his story would break the heart of everybody.
The lack of urgency, concern, communication, it's breathtaking.
It's pathetic.
It's so, you know, it just angers me to my core at how callous they can be.
We'll look forward to that Tuesday next week.
800-941-Sean, our number.
He gives you the latest breaking news when he hits the air.
This is the Sean Hannity Show.
Hi, 25 to the top of the hour.
Thank you for being with us.
800-941, Sean, if you want to be a part of the program.
All right, Vince, Kansas City, on a Friday.
Vince, how are you?
Glad you called, sir.
So the reason I wanted to call in, I listen to your shows often as I can.
I think you're great at what you do because you give a voice to so many people that just cannot stand what is taking place right now.
There are a lot of people that do not understand the dynamics, the political dynamics of Washington, D.C. and listening to people claim that Trump will get fair trial, quote unquote.
I've lived and worked in and around Washington, D.C. for about 29 years now.
Now, I live in Kansas City, but I work remote in that same area.
There is no chance of him getting any fair trial.
I think D.C. votes, what, 92% Democrat every year with their voting power?
And they're talking about trying to say, well, we need a new venue.
Well, where would you go out into Virginia into what?
You know, Fairfax County, you know, PW County, Loudoun County, which is the mother ship for everything in Virginia.
And you can't possibly go into Virginia.
I mean, Ann Perundall wouldn't give him a fair trial.
Montgomery certainly wouldn't go to PG County.
There is no place within a two or three miles.
I'm sorry, two or three hour drive of D.C. where he would get anywhere near close to a fair trial.
I can't speak for Georgia, of course, because I've never been there.
But it would be the same thing for New York.
I don't know why people can't see what's taking place here.
This is just about keeping him off ballots.
That's all this is.
Well, I mean, you know, they're doing the level best.
I mean, there's no other way to put it.
You know, they've had these cases now for years.
If this was so urgent and so terrible and so awful, why didn't they move faster?
Why didn't they move in early of 2020?
You know, here we are.
We're heading into 2024.
And, oh, let's have all these trials in an election year.
That makes a lot of sense.
Look, I would tell you right now, I agree with you.
I don't think Donald Trump can get a fair trial in New York or D.C. or, frankly, Fulton County, Georgia, for that matter.
Anyway, Joseph in Illinois.
Joseph, how are you?
Glad you called.
I'm fine.
How are you?
Good.
What's going on?
Thanks for taking my call.
I just, I want your opinion on something.
You thought, as you know, with the Democrats, they're doing everything they can to keep Trump from running and, you know, trying to keep his name off the ballot and everything.
And I just, I'm just wondering, I don't know how Trump can actually run with all these court appearances and stuff.
And I was just wondering, what would you think if, I don't know if he would do this, but if he ran for vice president and had someone like Rami Swami run as president to where that way he would still get Trump's votes and they seem to get along.
And I think he would do better with the independents than Trump.
And he can campaign and everything, to which obviously Trump's not going to be able to do that later.
Well, let me ask you a question first.
Do you think the opposition to Trump is because of his policies, personality, or the outright persecution?
I mean, for example, do you think that they are treating him unfairly under the law?
Do you think the Russia hoax has contributed to an atmosphere in which he's pretty combative, defending himself?
But you lied about for three long years on such a spectacular level, and conspiracy theories are peddled nightly on news channels all around the country and newspapers all around the country.
I guess you feel you have to fight back.
What do you think it is?
Is it his policies they're against, his personality they're against?
Do you think if he is being persecuted really here and not prosecuted, do you think that he should be punished for that?
I think his policies are great.
And I think that even the Democrats do.
I think it's just its personality.
They don't like him.
They're afraid of him.
He doesn't play along with games, and he's not afraid to say anything.
He does what he wants to do.
And they felt threatened by it, and they don't want that there.
They made that obvious.
It's not what they want, who they want in office.
And I just think, you know, unfortunately, the Democrats are controlling about everything, and I really do think they're going to keep him off the ballot.
Well, they're certainly trying, although some of those efforts have already been stopped, and I don't think they're going to be successful anywhere with that effort.
However, there is a possibility that he could be, a very strong possibility, in my opinion, that he's going to be convicted and running as a convicted felon before he gets a chance to appeal his case.
That'll happen after the election.
Anyway, appreciate the call, Jeff.
Let's see what happens.
By the way, I want to remind you: if you know a company is really looking out for you, if they give you an upgrade in your service and don't charge you a penny, that's what Pure Talk is now offering all their current customers and new customers.

All right, let's go to Jeff is in New Jersey.
What's up, Jeff?
How are you?
Glad you called.
Hey, Sean, I'm great.
How are you?
I'm good.
What's happening?
Good.
Hey, Sean, I was calling.
I just really wanted to touch on two points, and they're somewhat loosely connected.
You know, one being the Hunter Biden gun charges versus the tax charges.
You know, while the gun charge lying on your federal application is very serious and glad to see that he may be held accountable for that, you know, I think the people really care more about the tax charges and how he has been out.
He makes all this money peddling access to his father and doesn't even pay taxes on it.
I really think that sticks with the American people a lot more than the gun charge.
And secondly, that's the low-hanging fruit in my view.
Yeah, yeah.
No, you're probably right.
I don't know if we'll ever see anything further on the tax charges or not.
But it reminded me of what happened early 2022 or later 2022 when New York State actually extended, or actually not extended, I don't know what the right term is, but they passed something called the Adult Survivors Act, which allowed people who were victims of sexual assault where the statute of limitations had expired to bring charges for a period of one year.
They sort of opened that up for one year.
And the speculation is they did that just to get Donald Trump with the woman who had accused him of raping her in a department store.
So the connection there really, in my mind, is, I know it'd be difficult to do, but somehow can we waive these statute of limitations, which they let expired?
You know, the answer is probably not.
And that's why they let it go.
What was so it was so awful, to be very honest with you.
You know, what the things that he's been charged with and the allegations that are made and the timing of all of this.
You know, here's the question we're going to have.
I don't think he's going to lose his base.
I mean, I think he's proven that over and over again.
He's had four indictments, four arrayments, and he defies all conventional political gravity and his poll numbers go up.
The question is: if he gets convicted, how will the American people, the independents, maybe people that don't reliably vote conservative or Republican, how are they going to respond?
Now, they're going to be looking at an economy in shambles, borders in shambles, the price of energy through the roof, inflation out of control, record high interest rates.
We haven't seen these in decades.
And, you know, how are they going to respond?
And a president that doesn't know what day of the week it is.
That's that's you know, that's probably maybe for some of them it's going to be tough.
For me, it's not that tough.
You know, assuming that he's the nominee.
I mean, you know, all indications are he's got a very expansive, you know, lead, extensive lead.
Exactly, exactly.
But no, I appreciate you taking the call.
And I really think that the American people really care more about the tax issues with Hunter Biden than the gun charges.
Yeah.
Anyway, I appreciate the call, Jeff.
All right, quick break right back to our busy phones.
Let me give you our toll-free number this Friday.
It's 800-941-Sean, if you want to be a part of the program.
I've been telling you about preborn.com/slash Sean.
By the way, they don't get a penny from the federal government like Planned Parenthood.
And the beauty of this organization is they're changing hearts on the issue of abortion.
And any expecting mother can go into any one of their clinics and they're going to get a free 4D ultrasound.
And what they have discovered is through the science of ultrasound that they are saving lives.
Mothers are making the choice to give birth to their children because it's pretty convincing scientific evidence.
Follow the science.
When you hear a heartbeat and when you see fingers and toes and you can count them and facial features, that has a very strong impression.
They also offer counseling services.
After you have the baby, they'll offer you, you know, any support you need, diapers, formula, you name it, they're there to help you.
I just donated two 4D ultrasound machines to pre-born.
I'm going to get them some more soon.
Linda, you know, it just, this work is so deep and profound.
Yeah, and I also think, you know, there's a lot of young kids out there who end up in a situation that they weren't planning on, and then they have a baby in their belly, and everybody's telling them it's not a baby.
They take these chemical abortions.
There's terrible reactions for the little guy and for the person that's actually having the abortion.
You know, these over-the-counter things are really scary.
Pre-born is preventing that and saving lives and also saving the life of the mom.
Just scary times.
You can donate.
Again, they don't get a penny from the government.
They count on your generosity.
Pound 250.
Say the keyword baby, pound 250, keyword baby.
Go to preborn.com/slash sean S-E-A-M pre-born.com slash Sean as we continue.
The final hour of the Sean Hannity Show is up next.
Hang on for conservative solutions.
All right, let's get back to our busy phones 800-941 Sean, if you want to join us, John, New York, we got another Northeasterner.
What's up, John?
By the way, Linda, you notice they all sound like you.
I love these people from the Northeast.
They're my favorites.
I love.
Well, tell them how to say talk radio.
Anyway, hey, John, say talk radio.
Say get talk radio.
Say, John knows how to say it.
Say coffee.
That's right.
I'm going to get a cup of coffee from my talk radio.
Okay.
So there you go.
Why does this crack me up?
I spoke to Rush and he said to me or us, everybody, that if you ever want to set the Democrats' hair on fire, tell them we'll go along with amnesty as long as you guys all sign up saying they could never vote.
Now, I think that this is so serious now that somebody's got to come up with a plan besides deporting them.
And I think the only way to do that is to register all of the asylum seekers.
Let's not use the word amnesty.
All the asylum seekers and make them sign a paper saying they will never vote and have that put on their IDs unless they become a citizen, which they can't become because they're going to go back to the back of the line unless they join the armed forces and get an honorable discharge.
Let's turn a negative into a positive, but we have to wrap our hands around this before they do.
Because I'm telling you right now, any second we're going to hear we have to let them stay.
Oh, no, that's all part of the deal.
You know, and everybody's, they use a term, what is it?
Oh, the great replacement theory that Republicans don't want immigrants because they fear that they are people from other countries and they're not Western European.
There's nothing further from the truth.
Let me give you my view because I believe all of us are created by the same God, every human being on this earth.
And we all have a propensity to good or the propensity to evil, right?
So put that in the equation.
I believe in legal immigration.
In other words, I want to make sure you don't have radical background associations.
I want to make sure that in a pandemic, you're in good health.
I want to make sure when you get here, because we have 33 trillion in debt, we can't afford to take care of you, which, you know, we're taking care of all of Biden's 8 million illegal immigrants.
We can't afford it.
It's going to bankrupt us very quickly.
It's doing it to New York right now.
Never mind Texas and other border states.
And then I don't really give a flying rip if you go through the process and you do it legally.
I don't really care where you come from.
As a matter of fact, welcome to our home.
And, you know, I'm glad you're here.
That's my, that's, that's, but there's only a certain number of people we can reasonably take in in any given year.
But there's got to be order and there's got to be law applied and there's got to be a process.
But the people that don't respect our laws or our sovereignty or our borders should not be allowed to stay just because they got in.
Now, there are families.
There are some young people.
But if you look at the demographic breakdown, you're talking about adult men.
And I don't even blame them for wanting to be here.
When I went down to the border, I'll never forget I was on one side of the border and I was in San Diego.
And I could see right across the border and right into Mexico.
And it was like all these shanty homes, makeshift homes.
I mean, it was just poverty at a level you never want to see any human being live at.
Kids, I noticed they were playing in what looked like a garbage dump to me with old tires and junk and garbage dumped in it.
That's where they were playing.
That's not a safe place for a child to play.
And, you know, and then on the other side in San Diego, you have multi-million dollar homes.
And I'm like, if I'm over there in poverty and I'm looking across the way and I see all these beautiful homes, I'm thinking that's the land of milk and honey and that's where I'm going to want to go.
And however, what we have to insist on is that people do it legally.
And Donald, we know how to control the border, just like we know how to prevent crime and keep our cities and towns safe and secure, just like we know how to be energy independent and we can be even energy dominant, which this country should do just to pay off our national debt.
We know how to defend, you know, defend ourselves with the strong, mean, the toughest, meanest army with the latest, greatest, most advanced technology on the face of the earth.
We can fix all these problems.
They're all self-induced by Joe Biden and his, you know, extreme climate alarmist religious cultism that drives most of his decisions.
Well, I got a question for you, Sean.
Okay.
Do you really think it's realistic to think that we could just say, if somebody was elected who we love, to say, okay, you all got to go back?
Yes, I do.
Oh, wow.
Well, that's.
If I ran for president, I would make that promise and I would follow through on it.
And I would be criticized, you know, every single day of the week.
I think presidents should run with the attitude that they're just going to get the job done, you know, and just try and get everything done in four years.
You can run for re-election, but if you don't get it, who cares?
It's not a job I'd want.
I'll tell you right now.
Don't vote.
I'll be okay with it.
Well, I'm just telling you, they're going to end up voting.
They'll end up with amnesty, something of great value, and be rewarded for not obeying our laws and sovereignty.
It's really that simple.
