All right, news roundup, information overload hour, toll free.
We'll get a lot of your calls this hour, 800-941-SHAWN.
If you want to be a part of the program, a disastrous week last week for Joe Biden.
Well, he couldn't even, wasn't strong enough, didn't have the stamina to even stay for dinner with our NATO allies.
Then, of course, you know, one verbal blunder after another.
I mean, it was just a gaffe-prone week.
It was humiliating.
It was embarrassing.
You know, his moment with King Charles, King Charles, Joe, come on with me, Joey.
You'll be okay.
Just follow me and you'll be all right.
Or didn't know where to go and walking off the stage and President Zelensky of Ukraine has to go back and get him, ending with him nibbling on a little girl in the creepiest way imaginable, and then trying to kiss the little girl and the girl recoiling.
It was like, oh, man.
Anyway, Biden's weekend was just a disaster.
I mean, he's better off spending 40% of his time on vacation at the beach.
Here's just some of the highlights.
Presidential Zeus, absolutely what women tend to be in NATO.
That's how soon after this wins you'd like to join NATO.
An hour and 20 minutes.
Vladimir and I, we shouldn't be so familiar.
Mr. Zelensky and I talked about the kind of guarantees we could make in the meantime.
The Ministry of Como, the daughter of Ireland, or daughter of Ireland, you can tell us a 40 years up I'm thinking of home, the daughter of Iceland.
And I want to say I think we've had a very productive summit.
Soon NATO will be the 32nd freestanding, have 32 freestanding members ceasing its attacks on its inhumane attacks on Russia.
I mean, spy Russia on Ukraine.
I mean, he doesn't know the difference between Vladimir Putin and President Zelensky.
You know, the daughter of Ireland when it's Iceland, the nibbling incident.
Where do you see our slow-mo version of this tonight?
I think you're going to be shocked.
Anyway, joining us now is Matt Schlapp.
He's chairman of CPAC, the Conservative Political Action Committee.
They got an event in D.C. tomorrow night and his organization's efforts to combat left-wing media bias and propaganda and misinformation around the country.
And Matt, welcome back.
How are you, sir?
Hey, great to be with you, Sean.
All right, tell us what you got going on.
So we've been doing these ratings of the Senate and members of Congress for this is our 52nd year, and it really tells you a history of the Republican Party.
One of the things that we're learning about both the Republican Party and the Democratic Party is, you know, it's the true death of the moderate Democrat, the blue dog Democrat.
They're gone.
By the way, I think they're all gone.
I mean, maybe you can make the case for cinema and mansion.
Maybe.
You know, Manchin got totally screwed on that Inflation Reduction Act.
Everything they promised him, they were nigged on.
So let me tell you, Sean, cinema gets a 9%, which is like four times better than the average Democrat.
So she's definitely better.
But when you're talking the difference between 2% or 9%, it's gotten pretty bad.
Joe Manchin is supposed to be this great moderate.
He only votes with the conservative position 16% of the time.
So as much as I'm critical of the Republican Party for not being strong enough, I know you are as well.
You know, the fact is that the Democratic Party is an obsolete vehicle for anybody who says they want to push moderate beats.
You know, I've made this case often.
The Scoop Jackson Democrat days are done.
It's just over.
This is now a new, radicalized, climate alarmist, religious cult, Green New Deal party, a socialist party.
And this is not your parents' Democratic Party of old.
And I think we see a massive demographic shift as a result of it.
There's an article over the weekend about that men in America responding to all this woke crap are finished with the Democratic Party.
I really anticipate that if Republicans really dial in and focus in on education for every child in every school across the country, big cities, small towns, and they focus on law and order, minorities are going to start voting in larger and larger numbers Republican, because I think they're in full agreement with their values.
That's right.
So we've got four trends here with voting groups that I think it's important for people to track.
It's all stuff that Donald Trump exacerbated for the Democrats.
But you talk about these union households and these households where you have people that punch a clock or make an hourly wage.
You know, they're disgusted by a Democratic Party that's embraced these elite economic policies, which don't help them.
You have people of color who are, by and large, faithful, go to church, and they're disgusted by the transgender policies and these radical policies of the Dems.
You have women.
We don't talk enough about women.
Women who are moms, what's it like to be the mom of a son these days?
You know, it's terrible.
What do you have to tell about their future when there's this attack on masculinity?
And I think you're right.
If you just look at the problem Democrats have, the big gender gap in this country is the problem Democrats have with male voters.
We don't talk about that because I guess talking about men is not acceptable anymore.
But the fact is that's the number one problem for them.
And it's getting worse as they have this attack on men.
So, you know, I see our ratings are demonstrating that the Democratic Party is fully woke, fully embracing of Marxism.
Now you have this battle for the Republican Party, which I think is very much a jump ball.
You know, are the Mike Lee's and Ted Cruzes and Donald Trump going to show the way for the Republican Party?
Or is it more than 50% of those in the Republican Conference who can't even get an award for us on standing up for what's right?
Let me ask you to answer your own question.
I mean, as you let's start with the Senate, some of the names you mentioned, what are the scores they're getting?
What's Mitch McConnell getting?
What are other more moderate Republicans getting in terms of their score?
So the story of leadership in the Senate is McConnell got his worst score in over three decades.
He got a 56%.
And people say, why?
Why would he score so historically low?
And I think the main reason is that when you have these senators who, and he's an appropriator, but especially when you have these appropriators and when you have senators who think spending fights are losers politically and they go along with all this profligate spending that Joe Biden pushed and that Barack Obama pushed, it's hard to then turn around to your voters and say you're conservative.
I mean, you know, that transportation bill, it didn't have much transportation in it to build back better.
You know, these policies exacerbate all those issues that we just talked about with these voting groups.
The worst spending deal was what they did over Christmas when I was on vacation, and that's the omnibus bill, which they did not have to do.
They could have done a continuing resolution and waited for the new Republican Congress in the House to come into power, and then they could have levied fiscal responsibility measures with it.
Well, let me explain to you why that's right.
That kneecapped Kevin McCarthy is the new speaker, and McConnell has a 56%, Kevin percent.
I know sometimes conservatives are mad at Kevin McCarthy, but I have to say he's done a hell of a good job in a tough situation.
He and Steve Scalise both are getting awards this year.
Elise Stefanik is lower, but she is, I would say, most.
Well, what is McCarthy and Scalise?
Both 82s.
So that's a pretty big delta between them and where Leader McConnell is.
Now, I have to say, Dr. Barroso, who's in leadership in the Senate, has an 89%.
So we give him a lot of credit for holding the line in the Senate.
Well, you can quote Reagan here, too, though.
And Reagan obviously has his history with CPAC.
And Reagan said, if you're 80% in agreement, you're not an enemy.
You're my friend.
That's right.
And that's why our award started 80%.
Some people tell me, well, that's a C. Why are you giving someone, you know, an award for getting a C?
And I say, look, just like what Reagan told us, which is on a lion's share of the big issues, if we can stand together, we can beat the left.
The problem is we have too many people like Mitt Romney, who's at 52%, who, you know, about half the time, they stand with the Marxists.
And I don't think the people in Utah understand.
I think he's got a lot of problems in his home state, don't get me wrong, but I don't think they understand just how left you vote.
Well, I think he's going to have a very rough time in a reelection effort.
I know he's going to be primaried.
I would say very clearly today that if it was Jason Schaffetz, I'd say Jason, odds on favorite to win that battle.
I agree with you, and he is a great candidate, a good conservative, always had a good score with us.
But I want to hit back on this thing about...
By the way, what's my score?
Did I get a score?
Sean, I mean, you're beyond scoring, okay?
Like, for business, it's all about ratings.
And last time I checked, they're pretty good.
Thank God the audience keeps me employed because they're the ones that hire and fire me.
What did Ted Cruz get?
Just out of curiosity, then I'll let you finish.
Ted Cruz got a, what do you get, like a 94%?
So he's, you know, maybe one vote away from perfect.
You know, it's hard to stay up with Mike Lee who's like got 100% every time.
What is like Ram Paul, Marco Rubio?
Rand Paul got 100 this time.
So give him great credit.
Yeah, great.
Marco Rubio is getting an award.
I think he's low 80.
So give him credit for that award too.
But the big, the big, look, the standard bearer in the Senate continues to be Mike Lee, just kind of right all the time.
And Jim Jordan in the House.
Give Jim Jordan a lot of credit.
You know, he wields a gavel.
He's got an important voice, and he holds the line on everything at all times.
So I give both those men a lot of credit.
But let me tell you, it's not about getting 100.
It's about being a strong conservative who's in the mix and getting things done.
And that's another reason to start at 80% because sometimes you've got to vote for a bill that's got some stinkers in it, but overall will help the conservative cause.
And we've got to be in the mix.
Look, this is a very practical time in our history.
We've got to be trying to make as many differences as we can legislatively.
We can't always rely on the Supreme Court.
And sometimes it takes getting into the sausage making business to get that done.
All right, quick break more with Matt Schlapp, chairman of CPAC.
And we'll talk more about grading of these politicians, what I think is very revealing.
And you need to know where your senators, your congressmen are on the issues when it matters when they actually put forward votes.
Hey there, I'm Mary Catherine Hamm.
And I'm Carol Markowitz.
We've been in political media for a long time.
Long enough to know that it's gotten, well, a little insane.
That's why we started Normally, a podcast for people who are over the hysteria and just want clarity.
We talk about the issues that actually matter to the country without panic, without yelling, and with a healthy dose of humor.
We don't take ourselves too seriously, but we do take the truth seriously.
So if you're into common sense, sanity, and some occasional sass, you're our kind of people.
Catch new episodes of Normally every Tuesday and Thursday on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you listen.

Matt Schlap, chairman of CPAC, is with us.
He's about to reveal the scores of every Republican in Congress in terms of how conservative they are.
You know, what I like about the way you go about this is that you take into consideration something that maybe some people don't think about at all, and that is that, okay, the bill is 75, 80% of what you want, and otherwise you get nothing.
And I'd rather start at 80% and go back for a second bite at the apple and get the other 20% when I can.
And some would say, well, that's a horrible compromise.
But there's a very tight, slim, small majority that Kevin McCarthy's working with in the House.
And you've got all these disparate groups, the Monday group, the Tuesday group, the study group, the Freedom Caucus group.
He's got a lot of varying factions in there.
Yeah, that's right.
And for Kevin to walk out of that at an 82%, I give him a lot of credit.
You know, Paul Ryan and John Boehner, over time, really infuriated the base of their conference.
And, you know, Speaker McCarthy has a big job ahead of him.
He's got this slender majority, and he's got to keep a majority of them happy at all times.
And I have to say, so far, I like what I've heard.
You know, I bet you would do things differently.
I would do things differently from time to time.
But we have to understand we live in a very practical world.
These are tough political times.
And the key for the Republican Party is that if that is the vehicle by which conservatives can make a difference in government, we have to learn how to stick together a little better, too, which is not our best trait.
I do agree.
Democrats circle the wagons and Republicans create circular firing squads.
Tell me if I'm wrong.
Yeah, I think I've seen it.
I've seen it.
It's hit close to home.
I've seen it.
It happens.
Well, you're dealing with a lot of egos when you put on your CPAC conference every year or conferences.
I guess you're doing two now every year.
Yeah, no, it's a lot.
I have to give Turning Point a lot of credit.
It looks like they just had a great conference in Florida.
I love seeing what President Trump said on the stage.
I thought it was great.
I think CPAC plays an important role.
I'm very proud of the role that CPAC has played embracing some of these changes in the Republican coalition.
I no longer just consider it a party.
This is a coalition.
It's got MAGA people, America First People.
It's got conservatives.
It's got people who just hate socialism.
It's got people who want to be a part of our coalition just because they hate the wokeness of the Democratic Party, even if they disagree with the Republicans on some things.
And I think rightly so.
It's evolved into a more populist party under Donald Trump, America First.
And you know what?
America should put its own people first, its own citizenry first.
You know, when Joe Biden is out there proposing billions and billions of dollars, he actually said this, I believe it was in an interview last week or the week before, something to the effect that America is responsible for all of the carbon emissions and therefore we should be paying other continents billions of dollars.
We can't afford billions at all anymore, Matt.
And who pays that, Sean?
That's the whole point of the working man and woman reconsidering their political affiliations because we all know who pays for that.
They pay for that with their hourly wage not going up.
They pay for that potentially with their job.
You know, what the economic solution is for middle-class Americans from Joe Biden is just hang in there and I'll try to get you some relief through some big new social program.
And they don't have, they can't take any pride in that.
And they're being left behind.
And I think this is a great opportunity for this new coalition, whether you call it populist, conservative, pro-America.
I'm good with all that.
I just want to stitch it together and grow it and win these races and hold on to the history of our country.
Well, that would be a good start.
Saving America's novel idea, making the country great again.
That would be awesome.
Anyway, so yeah, you feel free to use it anytime you want.
It's never been used before.
Anyway, we appreciate your time.
And this event is taking place when?
I guess tomorrow.
Tomorrow.
In Washington, D.C. In the swamp, we'll have over 100 members there, all the members that we should thank.
We'll put it all up on social media so all your listeners can.
Well, good thing I'm with Donald Trump in Iowa because I wouldn't get any members to come on my show.
Thanks a lot.
We appreciate you doing it on a night.
I'm away.
All right, Matt.
Our best to Mercedes and the family.
Thank you for being with us.

No, you cannot.
Don't even try because it's not going to end well in most cases.
Anyway, you wouldn't dream of fixing your own plumbing in most cases or electricity.
You don't want any part of that.
But you think you owe a ton of money to the IRS.
Oh, I can handle this.
That is nuts.
Now, the IRS is nothing to mess around with.

All right.
Now, let's take you back.
It's time now for a word from your ever so eloquent, the wordsmith that she is, your vice president, Kamala Harris.
I can imagine what can be and be unburdened by what has been.
You know?
What can be, unburdened by what has been?
What can be unburdened by what has been?
What can be, unburdened by what has been.
What can be unburdened by what has been.
What we can see, what we believe can be, unburdened by what has been.
What can be unburdened by what has been?
What can be unburdened by what has been?
What can be unburdened by what has been.
Who we can be, unburdened by who we have been.
What can be unburdened by what has been.
Where we can be, unburdened by where we have been and unburdened by where we are right now.
What can be unburdened by what has been.
What can be unburdened by what has been?
What can be unburdened by what has been?
What could be unburdened by what had been?
What can be unburdened by what has been?
What can be unburdened by what has been?
Unburdened by what has been, believing in what can be.
What can be unburdened by what has been?
What can be unburdened by what has been?
What can be unburdened by what has been it?
What can be unburdened by what has been?
What can be unburdened by what has been?
What can be unburdened by what has been.
What can be unburdened by what has been?
All right, I'm going to step in here.
The RNC put this together.
Now, Linda, correct me if I'm wrong.
Every one of these, and there's 90 more seconds left in the tape that we have.
True or false, every one of those, what can be, unburdened by what has been, is unique and set on a different occasion, correct?
That is correct.
Okay.
And super, super scary.
And that's almost as creepy as Joe nibbling on that poor little girl.
It's a crazy thing that he did in Finland.
And I thought last week was bad.
The climate crisis is one of the most urgent matters of our time.
It's a lead story.
And the population instead of pollution and all the other mistakes she made, all her word sells.
But anyway.
All right, let's get to our phones.
Let's say hi to Tony in Oregon.
Apparently disagrees with me.
What's up, Tony?
We do not shy away from opposition callers.
What's going on?
Well, it's not a huge disagreement, but it's something I need you to take a think about.
Also, I need to talk to you about Oregon, but that's maybe if we have time.
Joe Biden, if I were the mother of his seventh grandchild, I would absolutely have nothing to do with these people.
I would take their money for care.
I would invest it, and she would have the best schooling when she got old enough, go to college or whatever.
But these are the creepiest, just nastiest people you could ever deal with.
Why would she want to subject her daughter to her granddad?
I wouldn't want to have anything to do with him.
You make a strong argument, but let me counter this.
If she doesn't know now, and I read one article where she is aware that her granddad is the president of the United States.
And as she matures, as she gets older, and she becomes more acutely aware of how profound that is and how rare that is.
I mean, we've only had 46 presidents.
I've got to imagine that there are going to be feelings of sadness, rejection, unworthiness, even.
I mean, maybe it doesn't happen.
I'm hoping it doesn't happen.
But I think it goes deeper than that.
What does it say about the Bidens that they are that cold-hearted?
You know, cold, cold-heart.
What is it?
Elton John and what is it?
Dua Lipa?
Is that song?
How the hell do you know that?
How do you even know who Dua Lipa is?
I absolutely know who she is.
She has long black hair.
She's stunning.
She's a great singer.
And it's a great song.
Cold, cold heart.
Yes, it's a remix.
I even know that.
And it's going to be a long, long time.
The touchdown brings me around.
There you go.
I know the whole thing.
Wow.
I'm impressing you, huh?
I know the dance.
Yes.
All right, get the dance version queued up for a second.
Okay, the Pinal remix.
Yeah, the dance one is much better, the remix.
But, you know, on the other hand, it's just wrong.
I mean, they just, Hunter just took this woman to court to deny her, you know, 75% of the child care payments.
I want to know how much this man is worth before that decision is made.
We don't know.
We've not gotten the total figure, but according to James Comer, House Oversight Committee, he's estimating between $30 and $40 million now that the Biden family made in these influence deals, as far as I'm concerned, with foreign entities.
They weren't hiring Hunter for his experience.
And at one point, she wanted the daughter to have the right to have her true last name, and they didn't want that either.
I'm not sure what deal may have been struck behind the scenes, but anyway, I hear where you're coming from.
I'll give you the last word.
All right.
Well, what does it say about Joe Biden?
She knows Joe's not up for this task, but she let him do it anyway.
I need to tell him.
Letting him do it again.
To me, I was watching somebody I love the way I'm watching Joe Biden.
I would do everything in my power to prevent this from continuing.
I really would.
To me, now we're bordering on elder abuse here.
I mean, he's not well.
He's ill.
He does not, he can't handle the pressure.
He's not mentally fit for the job.
He's not physically strong enough and able for the job.
He could barely drag a beach chair across the Delaware beach over the 4th of July weekend.
Anyway, Tony, good call, buddy.
Appreciate it.
All right, play it.
Dua Lipa and Elton John.
One of the coolest moments of my life I was invited to Rush Limbaugh's wedding and Elton performed there And he plays his first song.
And this was a cool moment.
And you look in the crowd, it's like, you know, Hannity, Levin, Coulter, Drudge, Clarence Thomas, Roger Hells.
I mean, it's every conservative in the country.
He's like, I know many of you wondering why a liberal like me is here, and I'm about bringing people together.
He got a standing ovation for every single song, Linda.
I've never seen that before.
Why are you shocked that I know this?
You know, I love music.
Because I know the music you love, and that's not it.
I mean, her music.
Oh, you're so wrong.
You found out through your kids.
That's how you know.
I did not find out through my kids.
No.
I refuse to believe Sean Hannity's listening to Dua Lipa in his free time.
Nobody's buying that.
Okay, I've actually seen the video.
The video has cartoon in it.
There you go.
Smarty pants.
You think he's so smart?
He's right.
Yeah, he's right.
He's right again.
Totally right.
And why does my team underestimate me?
Listen.
Be of little faith.
Sean, I've been with you a long time.
I have literally never heard you listen to dance music ever.
And most of her songs are like dance music.
She takes Elton's song and this new version of it, if you will.
And it's actually a new song.
I even like the version that he did of Tiny Dancer with Britney Spears.
Oh.
Oh, I actually don't know.
Am I shocking you?
Am I shocking you again?
Well, I mean, clearly you're an Elton John fan.
So I like it.
Oh, yeah, I think he's great.
I think he's an incredible performer.
I would strongly agree with you.
He's very talented.
And what's amazing about people like him and Billy Joel, and I saw Billy Joel at the garden, one of his, well, actually, I went to a couple of them.
And I will tell you, he sings like he did when he was young.
And he stays out there for two and a half, three hours.
He just plays.
And the place, I mean, it is everybody on their feet, singing, having a great time.
Yeah, he's very, again, it's just, some people are just touched by God.
You got a gift, you got a gift.
And that's just what you're meant for.
I don't have any such gift.
All right, play a little of this one.
Hold me closer.
You know, I I am just.
I am so disappointed in all of you that you do not know me yet.
But I think you're right Sean, I I.
I have to apologize.
I have to stand down on this one.
I did not know you.
Oh, everyone knows I love country music.
Now, some people have texted me, well, you know, these artists that you're referring to, Hannity, they're not conservative.
If I pick my music, what I like to listen to, based on the politics of the artist, my choices would be really, really slim.
So I don't really pay attention to an artist's politics.
That's not that important to me.
I just, if I like the music, I like the music.
And I love Christian contemporary music.
Probably the best concert.
You can get it on YouTube.
It aired on, what is the Christian or TBN?
Is surrounded with Michael W. Smith.
It might be the best Christian music, contemporary music concert you ever see.
It's that good.
Okay.
So pull that one up.
And it runs an hour.
And what I find amazing is how, you know, because obviously I like country music.
I love fun music.
I like this music.
But Christian contemporary music, the way people react to it, people of faith react to the songs and the words and the singing and the praise and the worship.
It's very inspiring.
And I am in awe.
I could watch it again and again and again of the people and how touched and moved they are.
You can tell that their souls are touched by it.
Look, I've said this so many times before.
Music, I'm in radio and I'm in television, but by far the most powerful form of communication is music.
Because when I'm up on a stage and I'm speaking to a lot of people, I might make some liberals cry, but for the most part, I don't.
But you can touch people so deeply with your music that they're crying.
And that, you know, they just let it all out.
It touches them that deeply in their heart and their soul.
And that's why I love it so much.
I could not agree with you more.
I think it is the thing that unifies so many of us.
I think it's awesome when you go to a concert and they just play their music and the people just listen and nobody knows what anybody's politics are.
I think one of the biggest letdowns I have in my entire life is when I got my MBA, I bought tickets to see U2.
And while I knew they were liberal, I just wanted to go see their music.
And they spent the entire time I was there talking about all their liberal policies.
I just left.
I left the conference.
I was so disappointed.
I was out.
Look, if they want to make a line or two, I don't really care.
Apparently, Taylor Swift was wrong.
They did an entire video montage.
There was pictures.
