If you want to get uh want to be a part of the program, um I I gotta admit there's a certain amount of kind of joy.
It's to me, it's amusing.
It's not overly funny, but uh being in this business, it's kind of amusing.
Uh fake news CNN is in a state of utter complete chaos.
There's pandemonium that is broken out there uh because of this Trump town hall and and the fact that they allowed Donald Trump to be on the air, by the way, which gave them the highest ratings, not Fox rate like ratings, but um gave them the highest ratings they'd seen in a long, long time.
And and then after the show, then they every single left-wing, you know, so-called journalist that is really a talk show host, they just lie about it, um, was out there just just saying everything they could say about Donald Trump.
Anyway, but they did have one person on there that was defending President Trump and defending freedom of speech and defending uh defending what a town hall should be, and that was Congressman Byron Donalds of the great state of Florida.
Uh, here's him fighting back against, you know, it's like ten on one.
First of all, town halls are for the voters, not for the press, not for the person who's the moderator.
Caitlin spent more time interjecting her own viewpoints or her own look of views on the situation.
Now are you well are you guys not going to interject your views or do I get a chance to speak?
If you're saying those were facts.
The town hall is for the president to speak to the voters of New Hampshire, not for this back and forth media who's number one.
Well, obviously they think it's their job to sit there and fact check every single thing.
However, there were issues involving the the 2020 election.
For example, states that had laws that said partisan observers get to watch the vote count up close and personal.
Uh those laws, there was no accommodations made for those laws, so they ignored them.
Uh the Constitution in the state of Pennsylvania, the Commonwealth there is very clear about voting by mail.
They give very, very few and very restrictive uh reasons why people can vote by by mail.
Now the legislature got cute, and rather than go through the arduous task of a constitutional amendment, uh they decided to pass legislation, but that would have had any court with any reason taking it up.
Uh that that would be deemed unconstitutional.
That's Constitution 101.
Uh, you had similar issues.
See Supreme Court decision, you had the uh Chief Justice in Wisconsin with a stinging rebuke of a three-four case about how the laws of Wisconsin will be in, you know, uh absolutely ignored in that state.
Now we have more recently information about the FBI putting their cinder blocks on the scales by by telling big tech companies that they're likely going to be victims of misinformation campaigns.
And according to Yoel Roth, the former integrity site head at Twitter, uh, he said, yeah, these this misinformation campaigns might be about Joe and Hunter Biden.
Why is the FBI meeting and pre-bunking any story involving Joe and Hunter Biden uh in the months leading up to the 2020 election, meeting weekly with big tech companies.
That doesn't make any sense.
Uh then we learned that the 51 former Intel officials uh were being apparently recruited by active CIA officials to sign on to that document that no everybody knew was false.
Although well, actually that nobody knew anything about.
And they just signed on to it because they wanted to give, quote, Trump, uh, I'm sorry, Biden a talking point against Trump.
So there are issues that need to be addressed if we care about integrity in our elections, if we want confidence in our results.
Uh some things that other people said I thought was a little nutty, and if I wasn't making that argument, that means I didn't agree with it, and nobody proved it to me.
But those are the arguments I made then, and I stand by today.
Anyway, Byron Donalds from Florida's here with us.
How are you, sir?
Doing good, Sean.
Thanks for having me on.
But there is a broad sweeping generalization about like this these were the perfect elections in 2020.
I mentioned the things that stand out to me.
Do you agree with my point of view on those issues?
No, I do.
I agree with you.
Um uh completely.
I think you're right.
And you know, when I was doing uh post panel town hall stuff at CNN, and I brought up Mark Elias suing in all these different jurisdictions to get election uh procedures changed.
Nobody combated what I said.
You know, Anderson Cooper didn't say anything, Van Jones didn't say anything, David Axelrod didn't say anything.
They just wanted to go back and talk about how, oh, but well, it wasn't stolen, but it wasn't stolen.
And I think if you go back and look at 2020, you have Democrat operatives suing in these jurisdictions to change procedures.
And then the thing that, in my view, is the greatest ink kind contribution in the history of politics is the FBI working, in my view, with the DNC to get the the Hunter Biden laptop story completely removed from the body politic.
Right in the heat of an election.
Like that in and of itself is is interference with an election.
And you know, you know, to go to take it way back to 2016, the Democrats are still fuming saying Russia involved themselves in our election.
Well, let me be very clear to everybody.
Russia can't hold a candle to what the FBI did with this with this this this letter and their information going to the social media companies in 2020.
Well, or the or the fact that the uh misinformation Russian paid for Hillary Clinton paid for Russian disinformation dossier that ended up being false, but was used as the bulk of information for four FISA applications, that's a big deal to me, uh, I would think to you as well.
It is, and I and I think where where we go now going into 24 is I think you know, the RNC, you know, obviously I I think Donald Trump's gonna be our nominee, so the Trump campaign, and everybody's got to be on high alert because these guys will pull any trick, they will cut any corner to try to win an election.
And because it's about power, Sean, you know that I know that it's about them trying to ban gas stoves and now ban power plants that don't meet some stupid emission standard that came out of nowhere.
Um and it's all this stuff that is actually terrible for the American people.
But we're gonna be alert and we're gonna be on guard because we just want to make sure we have a fair and open election.
Let the people decide it, not pundits, and not these shadow groups who might be inside the FBI and other parts of our country.
Look, as far as I'm concerned, and there there were people, uh, for example, in a meeting, uh, I believe on the second of January.
I have on tape, I can play it for you, but I played it yesterday.
I won't waste everybody's time.
Uh, but you have Donald Trump himself, you have his chief of staff at the time, Mark Meadows.
Uh, you have Chris Miller then acting uh Secretary of Defense and and his chief of staff, and then in the inspector general report, they quote General Milley was in the room that Donald Trump uh was willing to authorize the National Guard troops to be called up.
Uh so we've litigated January 6th to death.
They didn't call up the troops.
Nobody brought up those points.
Uh and that's but that's what they want to talk about at fake news CNN.
Uh I think elections should be about the future.
I think we have the worst economy we've had in my adult lifetime right now, and it's getting and they seem to be betting that China's gonna win uh world dominance over the United States.
That that concerns me and should concern everybody else.
Uh, but they're the ones that bring up these topics and then they want to go liar liar pants on fire because they disagree with them.
Well, one quick thing to fact check uh Caitlin Coll Caitlin Collins of CNN, um Nancy Pelosi, or not Nancy Pelosi, the Speaker of the House is in charge of security at the Capitol.
The Capitol Police, they report to the Speaker's Office.
So what she said in the town hall saying that, oh, Nancy Pelosi's not in charge in security is a lie.
She was in charge of security.
The they report to the speaker.
That's what happens now.
Kevin McCarthy's now in charge of capital security.
Those are the facts.
But going to to what's happened.
But Byron, too, I'll add one other person to this list, and that's the former Capitol Police Chief, uh uh Chief's son who's on this program, uh, and he was begging for guard troops in the days leading up to and the day of January 6th.
They wouldn't give it to them, give it to him.
Uh, and then we learn that our intelligence had picked up on the possibility that there were going to be agitators in that crowd with plans to do something like what happened that day, and they didn't act on that intelligence.
We've that was reported by Lester Holt on MBC News of all places.
No, that's absolutely correct.
It was testified in oversight committee that there was an intelligence report that went from FBI to the Capitol Police.
And so when members of the Oversight Committee, Republicans wanted to have the Capitol Police testify to that fact, Nancy Pelosi never allowed them to testify.
And then when that fact came out, the oversight committee investigations were stopped, and then Nancy Pelosi started her crazy January sixth one sided committee.
Those are the facts.
That's what happened.
And so I think it's important in that vein to understand.
Now we looking at this White House.
We have massive amounts of migrants at our southern border.
I saw a video the other day that now they're scrambling to throw up the border wall fence that they let sit on the ground for two years.
All the material that they stopped construction, now they're down there trying to throw it up at the last minute.
I guess walls work, Sean, when you really need one, you put a wall up.
So that's why they built one at the Biden, one of the many Biden compounds, right?
You got that right.
And so you have that, our economy obviously is a mess.
This debt ceiling debacle where you know you have a president who's just not even talking to anybody, not engaged, but he wants to blame everybody else.
No, we're we're not taking that bait.
Um Republicans, we're committed to this country being better.
We have plans and ideas and strategies to do it to to make it better, to get it back on track.
But we're gonna have to go get a new president, because his guy is a dumpster fire that's over at 1600 right now.
By the way, I don't even think he knows today's Friday.
I say it every day because he doesn't know.
Quick break, we'll come back more with Florida Republican uh Byron Donalds is with us.
800 nine four one Sean on number.
We'll get to your calls coming up straight ahead.
We continue with Congressman Byron Donalds of the great state of Florida.
Um you know, a lot of people have have been watching as I've been watching you emerge as a very strong leader within the Republican caucus.
Uh, do you have any other future political plans for yourself?
I don't know.
Honestly, I don't know.
I have no friggin' idea.
I have no idea at all.
I can't by the way, I know that's an honest answer.
Yeah, it is.
Like you can't game plan politics.
I I just when I ran for Congress, you know, I told my voters that I was gonna make sure we were taking the message of conservatism everywhere.
Because that's what we're gonna need to do if we're gonna win the day.
You know, so that's the job I'm in.
That's what I want to do.
You know, I know people talk about other things coming up, but we'll see what happens when it gets there.
Right now I'm just doing my job, you know, trying to make sure that at least in the House, we're holding the line, that we're putting out strong conservative policy, which is what uh House Republicans have been doing uh under the leadership of Kevin McCarthy.
And we're just gonna go get the job done.
What happens in the future?
Yeah, I'll leave that.
I'll leave that to the future.
Well, you passed this border bill, which was not easy to pass.
You passed the no uh tr stock trading bill, which I liked a lot.
I thought that was very smart.
But more importantly, you passed the bill to raise the debt ceiling, and it simply will will send spending back to 2022 levels, which is very reasonable in my view.
We've got, you know, just a couple of weeks away now, 18, 19 days away from this debt ceiling uh default date that Janet Yellen has given us of of June 1.
And I guess I don't know why Joe Biden stayed away from Kevin McCarthy for 97 days, but he did.
Uh Kevin was begging to meet with him on pretty much on a daily basis.
He said no.
So I don't know what the White House is thinking because I don't believe with the small majority that you have in the House that Kevin McCarthy's gonna be able to go back to the Republicans in the House and say, um, we're gonna offer these changes that the Democrats want.
Are you all gonna sign on to it?
I don't think he's gonna get a majority to do that, do you?
No, I don't.
Uh and I don't think that at all.
And I think the the key thing in what you said is our proposal is actually a modest proposal.
We think that just going back to pre-COVID spending levels makes sense.
And so that 22 spending cap that you talk about, I'm gonna get a little into the weeds for the for the listeners.
What it really does, it keeps defense at at the 23 level with a little bit of a of a kicker for defense because looking at what's going on around the globe, our military has to be ready.
But it also pushes all the agency stuff back to 2019.
And the reason you do that is because back in 2019, you know, it's not like we were, you know, it's not like we were pikers out here.
We were still spending money, but not the crazy plus ups that Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi did with these agencies.
So you gotta get that back.
It helps us get to a sustainable playing field long term.
So we view it as a modest proposal, and you were able to get House Republicans on board with doing this in order to say we're gonna raise the debt ceiling and then find further ways to continue to to get the nation's fiscal house in order.
While we were doing this for 97 days, like a hundred days now working together on free.
And by the way, I talked to a lot of people during that time.
This was a heavy, heavy lift to get all you guys on the same page.
Yes, it was a heavy lift.
While we're doing that, Joe Biden is I don't know what he's doing, taking a nap, eating ice cream.
I don't know what this guy was doing.
The Senate, and let me think real quick.
Chuck Schiller.
Those guys were doing nothing over in the Senate.
So they need to get to work.
They need to come up with a plan and a strategy that frankly sean they can pass the Senate.
Because I'll tell you this, as much as Joe Biden said he wants a clean debt ceiling, there are no votes in the Senate.
They don't have the votes in the Senate for a clean debt ceiling.
So I think the next step is the Senate needs to pass a plan.
And then we sit down and talk over what we can agree to.
I don't know.
But the Senate's not going to be able to pass a plan because you got 44 uh Republican senators.
I think maybe one Democrat, Joe Manchin, that are saying they support the House bill.
Well, I mean, and I mean John Tesla.
At that point, the default then lies with Joe Biden.
That's all I have to say, and he shouldn't have sat on his ass for uh ninety-seven days and did nothing.
Totally agree.
And to that last point, Joe Biden could have passed the debt ceiling in the omnibus bill last Christmas Eve.
He could have done that when Nancy Pelosi was still speaker.
They didn't want to.
They wanted to set up a political fight.
They wanted to put our treasury markets in a lurch and in chaos.
Joe Biden wanted to create a crisis around this.
I mean surprise to Well, be careful what you wish for because things are bad enough.
This will only accelerate the coming recession that he caused.
Um I do wish I had more time.
Uh, Congressman Byron Donald's Florida, we love having you.
Thank you, sir.
You were great this week.
Uh God bless you for going into uh uh over to fake news CNN.
This is the only time I heard common sense in a while there, so thank you.
Thanks, Sean.
800 941 Sean, our number if you want to be a part of the program this uh Friday.
Ladies and gentlemen, we'd like to take a second to hear the immortal Bob Grant's thoughts about the world today.
Hey, uh ladies and gentlemen, it's sick and it's getting sicker.
Now back to the Sean Hannity show.
All right, 25 to the top of the hour.
Your call's coming up here in a second.
Uh yeah, Title Fi 42 is uh bye bye, and yes, the border is an absolute catastrophe.
Uh yes, the debt ceiling is approaching quickly, and they cancel today's meeting.
Uh yes, a recession is coming in my view, and the view of many other economists and smart economic people.
Um, and we live in a crazy world uh where you can't even ask anybody an opinion that dares to differ from yours without being excoriated.
Uh but first I want to remind you that Mother's Day is Sunday.
Now, look, you can go the the hard route and and you know, if you want to look better, go to the right plastic surgeon.
I would not recommend that.
My own personal opinion.
Uh, especially when you have Shamoni and Genu Cell products out there.
Claire is a genusel user.
She says, quote, I absolutely love Genusell.
My skin feels so good, tighter, younger, a more even tone, and I've only used it a week.

Go to Gen Yusell dot com right now slash Sean S E A N. That's Gen Yusell.com slash Sean.
Well, the border, as we predicted, is an unmitigated disaster.
Um, based on the way they keep canceling, and Joe won't meet with McCarthy on the issue of the debt ceiling.
I I would imagine that this country, uh, sometime in June, probably early June, according to Janet Yell Yellen is headed for default.
You see the disaster at the border.
You know, um then we got Mayorcus is out there calling the ruling from the the judge uh you know from quickly releasing illegal immigrants a a very harmful ruling.
Well I thought they wanted to keep it in place.
I thought this week they were complaining, maybe we went too fast on uh all of this.
Uh how did they possibly get that wrong?
But anyway, it is in terms of for the country, it is uh extremely extraordinarily dangerous out there.
And we now know that every every town now, every city in this country is a border town.
That's all there is to it.
And all these, you know, sanctuary cities, all of a sudden they're not so they're not so sanctuary anymore because they want to take in New York City and Martha's Vineyard and and Chicago and move all the illegal immigrants that are being sent up from Texas and and other places.
Uh, they want to move them out of their cities.
Now that the federal judge blocked the administration from releasing the migrants without court dates, uh, it's become even more chaotic.
Mayorcus is saying this is very harmful.
And then he said, asked if the border is open.
Uh he touts 1.4 million deportations last year.
Well, did you forget the 2.5 million illegals that entered the country that we know about?
And then Ted Cruz got into it with a reporter asking what the GOP has done to help with the border crisis.
Well, the GOP put in place what was known as the Donald Trump border plan, the stay in Mexico policy, the build-the-wall policy, and we didn't have this problem during the Trump years.
Anyway, listen to all this.
The president could not have been clearer in his articulation of this administration's position, nor could I have been clearer and continued to be so, which is the border is closed.
Somebody walked into Texas or Arizona unvaccinated, they're allowed to stay.
Why?
But that's not how it works.
Like we actually know that that's not what you guys want to happen, but that is what happened.
But that's not, it's not like somebody walks over and that's not that's not how it's happening.
The border is secure, but we also have a broken immigration system, in particular over the last four years before we came in.
Why go to a border state and not visit the border?
Because the more important thing going on, they're gonna invest billions of dollars in a new enterprise.
Your reaction is something that's happened overnight.
A Florida judge blocked emergency program, you know, it's parole with conditions, uh, which would have allowed some migrants arriving at the U.S. Southern border to enter the country for a limited amount of time while they await processing.
Can you tell us what sort of impact will that decision have?
Uh and will the administration be appealing.
Um very harmful ruling, uh attacking a um a practice that uh prior administrations have used.
It's it's not new.
But let me share with you what happens.
First of all, the majority of individuals will be removed.
When a border patrol facility uh is overcrowded, we screen and vet the individuals in our custody, and then we release them to for them to go into immigration enforcement proceedings.
The Department of Justice is considering its options.
You say the border is not open, but there is a subset of people who are being released into this country with no court date and no way to track them.
I mean, that sounds like the border is open for some.
Oh, um, Savannah, the vast majority are being removed.
I think uh if one asked any one of the 1.4 million people who were expelled, removed, or returned last year, I don't think they would uh tell you that the border uh is open.
Let me let me ask you something.
Let me ask you something.
What rate of illegal immigration did we have in 2020?
Do you know anything?
I asked you been in office.
Do you know anything?
How long have you been in office?
I've been in office 11 years.
Yeah.
And this is take the count there in multiple administrations.
Except you're not going to be able to do that.
Okay, you don't get to argue with me.
You asked your question.
You asked your question.
You don't get you want to hold a press conference, you can do it over there.
You have to do it.
If you want to hold a press conference, you can do it over there.
How are you?
So hold on.
I'm gonna answer his question.
The talking point of the Democrats, which this media reporter happily parrots, is gosh, the problem can't be fixed.
There's one little problem with that.
It is an utter and complete lie.
In 2020, the last year of the Trump presidency, we had the lowest Rate of illegal immigration in 45 years.
You ask what have I done?
I've championed the men and women of border patrol.
I've championed securing the border.
I've championed remaining Mexico.
And we turned this problem around and solved it.
And we went from Joe Biden inherited the lowest rate of illegal immigration in 45 years.
And the first day in office, he made political decisions to cause this problem.
And you should be ashamed of yourself because you're a reporter and you're not reporting facts.
You're telling lies.
How concerned are you, B that are you that you will be overwhelmed uh come midnight tonight?
I come a little bit this time.
I we are a little bit more concerned.
We had, of course, we've been having this issue for the past decade, and we've been able to handle it pretty well.
Uh we were expecting probably or we were prepared for about two thousand immigrants, uh once 42 was lifted, but it hasn't even been lifted yet, and we expect to have even today before is lifted, at least two thousand Catholic charities is expected to have already about a thousand thousand five hundred, and then they're being busted different areas around Hidalgo County.
So we're of course right off the bat, we're what we're doing is we're wrapping up our camping and some do us part from two thousand to hopefully about five thousand within within a couple of days.
Unbelievable.
Uh, you know, we could that that's the thing about every problem we have.
I don't care if it's the border, I don't care if it's energy, I don't care if it's the economy.
Everything is fixable.
Law and order, you hire police, you get rid of these idiotic Nobel laws, you refund the police.
These it's it's so simple, it's so uh full of common sense, not hard.
All right, quick break, right back to the phones.
800-941 Sean, our number.
All right, back to our busy phones.
Donna in West Virginia.
Donna, how are you?
Glad you called.
I'm going good, Sean.
I hope you're having a good day.
It's always a good day on Friday.
I always love Fridays.
Okay.
Hey, I'm just calling about the situation we have on the border.
I think it's time that we start busting all of the illegal immigrants into Washington, DC, and let them put up with what they're allowing to happen.
Well, they're gonna do what New York is trying to do and Chicago's been doing and what Martha's Vineyard's uh Vineyard did.
By the way, those illegal immigrants sent to Martha's Vineyard, you know they were not there even 24 hours, and we went around and we checked if they had enough open rooms for the illegal immigrants that were there.
They had plenty of open rooms, but they didn't want them there.
They only there look, I always say liberals are always generous with other people's money.
There are only four sanctuary cities as long as it's not their city.
That's right.
That's right.
But it's time we need to start letting Biden feel the hurt.
He doesn't feel the hurt, he just calls the shot.
And I'm really tired of it.
Well, there's an election in November of 24.
I hope you'll be voting.
I hope Republicans get their act together and start to follow the Democrats' model.
Uh appreciate it, Donna.
You have a great weekend, okay?
Thank you.
Uh Teresa in the free state of Florida.
What's up, Teresa?
How are you?
Good afternoon, sir.
I am great.
How are you doing?
Boy, everyone's chipper today.
Must be that Friday, you know, thank God it's Friday mood kicking in.
I love that.
That's awesome.
Well, I am cleaning, I'm working, I'm enjoying today, and I'm thankful for what I do.
I have a cleaning business.
That's awesome.
You know something?
I don't regret anything that I do because I work for what I have.
I may not be rich, but I have everything I need.
And does your business do you have a uh a business that does well?
Do you have employees or do you do all the work yourself?
How does it work?
The employees are my daughter and myself.
And we have 35 clients a week.
Wow.
That's that's a lot of cleaning.
You're working really hard.
Yes, sir.
We start our day at 4 a.m. and sometimes we're done about eight.
Wow.
Now I'm not even gonna ask you what you take in a year.
Do you make a good enough living that you can, you know, survive?
Do you own a house?
Do you rent a house?
Do you uh rent an apartment?
Do you have a decent car and truck, whatever you're using?
Well, you know, I'm not rich.
Um I don't need to be rich to be happy.
I was happy when I was poor.
I was.
You don't.
Uh I rent.
Um And I do have a vehicle.
Uh but you know what?
My dad always told me, and he was a World War II veteran, and you know, he would be so upset about this country today, but you know, he always told me, he said, if you don't earn it, you won't appreciate it.
I don't want something that belongs to somebody else.
I want what I earn because I'm proud of what I do.
Well, I you know what?
I love the fact that you say that.
When I was in the restaurant business and I washed dishes, I loved it as a kid.
And I was a cook.
I loved doing that.
And then when I was a a busboy, you know, it was a very busy, busy restaurant.
I was running around like a chicken without a head.
I love that too.
Then tending bar, I love that.
Um when I was painting houses, whether inside or outside, when that job was finished, I I look back at all the work that I had done, and I usually, you know, I I a smile would come to my face.
I'd feel a sense of accomplishment, a contribution.
Um Exactly.
I love what I do.
You know, it and people look at me and go, Oh my gosh, you clean houses.
I'm like, let me ask you a question.
How much do you spend on that um that uh gym membership you have?
I said, Well, guess what?
I don't have to pay for mine.
People pay me to work out.
I work out all day long.
That that that's a great answer, by the way.
Do you ever count?
Do you ever keep your phone on you and count how many steps you you walk in any given day?
I do.
I how many steps?
30,000 steps a day.
All right, that means you're gonna outlive all of us listening to this program.
All of us.
I do not get in ten thousand steps a day, and I do have days where I try to do it on top of my martial arts workout, but I don't keep my phone on me when I'm doing my workout, unfortunately.
It's just not possible.
I keep my Bluetooth in so that I can listen to you.
And I do have something I would like to tell you.
I have a new nickname for Joe Biden.
All right, new nickname for Joe Biden.
What is it?
Gerrital Joe.
I like it.
That's very good.
That man is slower than dirt.
If he had if he had a fire, he would have to have somebody get a wheelbarer and push him out of the house.
I've never seen anybody have so many struggles in all my life.
Well, it uh on the one hand it's sad.
You would think somebody around him would love him enough to say, you know what, it's probably not a good idea to run again.
I don't think you're up to the job.
Uh maybe you can say it more delicately than that, but Joe, we really we want you to enjoy the the final years of your life, the sunset years, uh play some golf, uh, I don't know, go to a museum, read a book if you can concentrate long enough.
