When I told people, I was making a podcast about Benghazi.
Nine times out of ten, they called me a masochist, rolled their eyes, or just asked why.
Benghazi, the truth became a web of lies.
From Prologue Projects and Pushkin Industries, this is Fiasco Benghazi.
What difference at this point does it make?
Listen to Fiasco, Benghazi on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
I'm Ben Ferguson.
And I'm Ted Cruz.
Three times a week, we do our podcast, Verdict with Ted Cruz.
Nationwide, we have millions of listeners.
Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, we break down the news and bring you behind the scenes inside the White House, inside the Senate, inside the United States Supreme Court.
And we cover the stories that you're not getting anywhere else.
We arm you with the facts to be able to know and advocate for the truth with your friends and family.
So down a verdict with Ted Cruz now, wherever you get your podcasts.
All right, thanks, Scott Shannon, and thanks to all of you for being with us.
Toll free, our number is 800-941 Sean.
If you want to be a part of the program, uh Senator Tom Cotton will join us today.
Uh Bill O'Reilly, all things simple man Bill O'Reilly today.
Uh, and you're going to meet one of the first FBI informants or whistleblowers that are now we're going to hear from dozens of them.
We're going to get to the bottom of all of this.
Now, uh my friend and colleague Brett Bear last night did a really interesting interview with Christopher Ray.
Uh, if you want to talk about dodging and weaving and avoiding questions and flat out not telling the truth, that's what you got from Christopher Ray last night.
And, you know, the fact that he doesn't even think that the political that the FBI has been politicized, he's either not living in reality or he's just flat out lying.
And his lack of knowledge or willingness to acknowledge uh simple basic fundamental truths is mind-numbing to me.
You know, Brett Bear started out the interview.
He said, you know, the FBI's reputation is at a record low.
What do you make of that?
Well, there are all sorts of opinions out there about the FBI, just like uh there are, you know, there are opinions on every major institution.
We're focused on the opinions of the people that actually do the work and the people we do the work with.
Okay, I mean, that's a non-answer.
You know, why has your reputation gone in the tank?
The FBI, I can tell you, growing up in my family was revered.
My grandfather, his brother, both came from Ireland, and my grandfather's brother had had two sons that were in the FBI.
And they were looked up to like deity in my family.
They were like they they were the ultimate example of the American dream personified.
They made it to the premier law enforcement agency in the entire country.
Now, one of them has passed away, the other one I'm still in touch with.
And we've had long discussions about all these issues that we've had to bring up involving the FBI, and he's thanking me for it and telling me that all of his friends retired or still active in the FBI, are grateful that we're telling the truth.
He is aghast at what has happened to this once great agency.
Um, and you know, and you know, we for example, Brett Baer brings up, well, your critics say that some of these uh low ratings and people not trusting the FBI, etc., uh are in part to the Russia collusion investigations, and conservatives call the FBI's disinformation campaign about Hunter Biden's laptop or what they see as a dual system of justice.
We can go down with each of them, but broadly, how do you address that?
And Ray's answer is you know, I hear these claims that the FBI has been politicized, but I can tell you the FBI is going to stay independent.
Okay, that is just a lie.
We know it's a lie.
They just rated Mar-a-Lago.
How did the FBI treat Hillary Clinton who had more top secret classified information on her private servers than Donald Trump had in a secure room that the FBI had complete access to any time they wanted it, because they're the ones that asked for the padlock to be put on the door of the room where they eventually found documents, and they could have taken them the day that they were there.
Nobody would have stopped them.
But Hillary Clinton, you know, what do we have with her?
Oh, no prosecutor would ever prosecute, and she had far more top secret classified documents than anything ever found at Marilago.
She was never raided.
No prosecutor would ever prosecute.
That was in the July of 2016.
And that doesn't even include what would to me would be clear obstruction.
And that is 33,000 deleted emails on the on the servers on the computers, uh using a substance that nobody had ever heard of or a program that nobody ever heard of.
I still don't even know what it is today, called Bleach Bit.
She basically acid washed her hard drive.
And then that eliminated all the emails, and we didn't have access to them.
Jim Comey even admitted foreign adversaries had regular access, likely had regular access to all of Hillary Clinton's uh servers and probably had live in real time access to this.
I mean, this was a breach beyond all breaches here.
It's not a piece of paper.
They're watching in real time what the Secretary of State of the United States is doing and saying, and a presidential candidate in what they're doing and saying.
But no prosecutor would prosecute.
So and then they ignore the 33,000 deleted emails on top of that.
Then of course they had Blackberries and iPhones, you know, beaten up with hammers to destroy them.
Then SIM cards were removed, so there's no data on the phone here.
You can have my phone all you want.
The data is taken out of the phone when you take out the SIM card.
Isn't that true?
I guess unless you have your cloud thing on, and I don't even know what a cloud is.
I have no idea.
I've never turned it on.
It scares me.
I don't know.
Was somebody going to steal my cloud?
Uh, but you know, in all seriousness here, he actually said, I hear these claims that the FBI has been politicized.
I could tell you that we're going to stay independent, and that means follow the facts wherever they lead, no matter who likes it.
You're not, there's not equal justice, Director Ray under the law.
There's not equal application of our laws.
We have a dual justice system, and you're allowing it to continue.
You had an opportunity post-James Comey to return the FBI to its former greatness as the world's premier law enforcement agency.
You failed to do so.
And I found these answers offensive last night.
You know, Brett Bear asked, well, okay, let's start with the laptop.
FBI had access to this laptop for more than three years.
They had that laptop in December of 2019.
You know, why is this investigation taking so long?
Well, the investigation is being led, as you know, by a U.S. attorney appointed in the last administration out of Delaware.
Uh, no, you had it first, and you could have verified it, probably they could have verified verified it in a day with the technology that I'm sure the FBI has.
They chose not to do it.
They could have authenticated it.
But instead, what did they do?
By the summer of 2020, they they head up a group of FBI special agents led by a guy that in 2016 wrote a thesis about how Donald Trump colluded with Russia to win the 2016 presidential election, which is a complete lie, totally debunked and false.
He is leading up an effort to talk to big tech companies and warn them that they may be victims of a misinformation campaign from a foreign country and that they've got to be on the lookout.
And then with the case in Missouri, when then attorney general, now Senator Eric Schmidt, Yoel Roth, the in the site integrity head Of Twitter at the time was asked, Well, what was the FBI telling you every week?
Remember, the FBI reached out to every big tech organization and was warning them that they might be victims of misinformation.
And Yo Roth under oath said, yeah, they said, you know, it might be about Joe Biden.
It might be about Hunter Biden.
The seed was planted.
In other words, they had already set the trap that, oh, if there's any information that you hear about Hunter Biden, uh, you gotta look at it with great skepticism because you're probably going to be a victim of misinformation.
Now, the FBI had the laptop in December of 2019, and they also knew damn well that Rudy Giuliani had a copy of the laptop.
So they knew that information about the laptop was likely going to leak at some point during the uh campaign.
It did, weeks before the presidential election.
And did they ever tell that they ever authenticate?
Yeah, that's really Hunter's laptop.
We've had it since December of 2019.
Nope, they didn't say a word.
Just like before this last election, the FBI had already, you know, discovered that Joe Biden had top secret classified information.
They didn't raid his home.
They didn't raid the Penn Biden Center, they didn't raid the University of Delaware.
No, they just and they didn't tell you the American people eight days they knew eight days before the election.
Don't you think that's important for people to know before a midterm that the very big item of of top secret classified information and a rate on Mar-a-Lago, but Joe Biden had the same problem and they didn't tell us?
You gotta be is that dual, is that not a dual justice system?
I think it is.
You know, and then he goes on to say the whistleblowers are telling lawmakers uh that there's an internal effort to shut down the investigation.
Have you found that?
I have found nothing like that.
Well, you've had the laptop for over three years.
What's taking you so damn long?
It doesn't pass the smell test.
You know, then Brett says, All right, well, let's talk about the FBI and and what you told big tech or some agents uh telling big tech about the authenticity of Hunter Biden's laptop.
He and his answer is a non-answer.
He goes, the FBI does not in it does not is not in the business of functioning as the truth police.
We don't tell social media companies to censor anything.
No, but you're warning them that they're gonna be victims of a misinformation campaign, and it may be about Hunter.
So you're basically telling them if you see something about Hunter, be skeptical, and you probably don't want to uh perpetuate something that is likely false.
So they set it up perfectly.
It's like the perfect crime.
Then it Brett talks about the Twitter files.
You know, there and a number of FBI numerous times.
Uh Matt Taibe pointed out the FBI uh San Francisco uh uh request to ban certain accounts, and Twitter personnel in the case went to look for reasons to suspend all four accounts that the FBI wanted.
Uh ban or suspend.
Was it appropriate to flag social media accounts for Twitter and elsewhere due to the politics of the government or government policies when it comes to COVID?
We don't tell social media companies to ban accounts.
They were talking to big tech once a week in the lead up to the election.
You know, Christopher Ray, you know, said then goes on to say, you know, what we do tell social media companies about information that we have about foreign disinformation campaign.
Well, they had 11 months before the 2020 presidential election to determine that the laptop from hell was real and they could have done something about it.
They did nothing.
Why?
Because they're politicized.
It's an obvious answer.
You know, then he talks about the 50 former national intelligence folks.
Well, I can't speak for them.
Of course you can't.
You're defending, you know, your co-conspirators, putting your thumb on the scale of not one now, but two presidential elections.
James Comey letting Hillary Clinton off the hook put the thumb on the elect on the election in favor of her.
The FBI meeting weekly with big tech, warning them that they might be victims of disinformation from foreign countries, and it may be about Hunter, they were putting their thumb on the scale of the 2020 election.
This is the this is a complete abuse of power.
That's why people don't trust you, Director Ray.
That's why the FBI's uh approval ratings are in the tank.
I don't want to be against the FBI.
I want to praise the FBI.
I want the FBI to return to its former status as the premier law enforcement agency in the world.
It's not now.
You had a chance to clean it up after Comey left and you didn't lift a finger.
You're nothing but an uh at best an institutionalist that's gonna protect the institution at all costs and not clean up the fact that your agency is completely and totally politicized.
And we're not gonna hear from just one agent.
We're gonna hear from one agent on the program later today, Nicole Parker, why she left the FBI.
But there are dozens of these people, whistleblowers that are gonna expose your FBI as having been politicized and the Department of Justice being weaponized uh against conservatives because they don't like conservative points of view.
You know, when Brett asked about the dual justice system, and uh, you know, for example, the the documents investigation and why Mar-a-Lago was raided.
Uh we have a long history of handy handling investigations into the mishandling of classified information, and our standard for approaching these investigations is the same no matter who it is.
Well, if it's the same, you would have rated Joe Biden's home.
If it was the same, Hillary Clinton would have been arrested in 2016.
It's not the same.
You know, and then he said, are you at the table for the decision in terms of how it looks to go after a former president like Mar-a-Lago?
Well, I oversee the FBI.
I expect a significant investigation to be conducted by the book.
He bragged him and Merrick Garland bragging about what they did.
I mean, we we now listen, when this is in we're now in danger of people that have really high positions of power abusing that power and going after people that they don't like their opinions of.
That's a problem in this country, and if it continues, if nobody gets held accountable, it's gonna spiral out of control and it will never, ever, ever stop this corruption from continuing, ever.
I mean, it's that dangerous.
Hey there, I'm Mary Catherine Hamm.
And I'm Carol Markowitz.
We've been in political media for a long time.

One that connotes conspiracy theory.
Will we ever get the truth about the Benghazi massacre?
Bad faith, political warfare, and frankly, bullshit.

I've I have a pretty big collection now.
Anyway, Henry USA.com, free catalog, free decals, the list of dealers where you are.
I love this company.
They're great people.
You're gonna love them too.
Let me let me go back and just end this this whole nonsense with Director Ray.
Now it's not an accident, I don't think, that he went on with Brett Bear the day before Merrick Garland goes on, it goes before the Congressional Committee, which I'll get to in a second.
And for him to make the case, it is just an outright lie when he says um we have one standard and one standard only, irrespective of the ideology of politics in this country.
It doesn't matter what you're upset about or what you're upset with.
Uh you don't get to express that upset with with violence.
Um then why didn't they lift a finger in the summer of 2020?
Five hundred and seventy-four riots, thousands of injured cops.
We'll deal with Tom Cotton on this later in the show today.
Um billions in property damage, and dozens of dead Americans.
And you know what?
Uh I think they're spending more time, you know, going after um moms and dads at school board meetings, uh, you know, investigating domestic terrorists, you know, basically tiger moms like Linda uh that are really outspoken.
You're outspoken at those school board meetings, aren't you?
They know you by name.
Not only am I outspoken, but I'm proud of it.
And my superintendent of the district was walked out of his office yesterday with no answers given.
Walked out.
Did you walked out?
Did you complain about him?
I wasn't a fan.
Wasn't a fan.
I wouldn't say I was his cheerleader, that's for sure.
Uh that means you spoke out against him.
Well, and to his face.
I mean, it was not he wasn't.
He didn't know how he did it often.
You know, you know.
He deserved it.
Often, he deserved it.
You know.
You know.
First of all.
First of all, you stand in front of a bunch of parents and tell us we're wrong.
I mean, there was a line of us.
I was one of many.
Yeah.
So all of this, you know, you he's saying all these things, and it just isn't true.
I mean, I went through the entire interview, and I'm like, I'm I'm flabbergasted by all of this.
I'm just flabbergasted.
You know, and then they talked about other things like the Chinese balloon, etc., etc.
Uh I I just can't be bothered to go through all of it because I'm going to give myself a coronary.
Um, but you know, he was there deflecting and not answering, conveniently saying there's an ongoing investigation, but that's only into Donald Trump, so we won't comment on the rate at Mar-a-Lago.
Uh well, he will brag about he was bragging about Donald Trump's rate that he and Merrick Garland authorized it, but they can't say anything about Joe Biden and the Penn Biden Center or Joe Biden's homes or Joe Biden's Corvette or Joe Biden's garage, or Joe Biden's other home, or the University of Delaware.
We have we've not gotten an answer what they may or may not have found there.
It's just unbelievable.
He deflects again and again, and he's and he's not acknowledging the obvious.
They have a political agenda that's driving the FBI.
Now we're gonna hear from dozens of FBI agent whistleblowers.
He can't stop that.
And there's gonna be many more once they come out.
That's my prediction.
We're gonna talk to one of these whistleblowers uh later in the program today.
Um, and it is the story is unbelievable.
You know, they're chasing away good agents.
Now they're lowering standards for people to become agents, and it's like the FBI has gone woke, and the FBI has no problem putting their thumbs on the scale of of presidential elections because they've done it now twice in a row.
It's unbelievable.
You know, they had no reason to go out there and tell all these big tech companies, yeah, um, you're likely gonna be the target of a misinformation campaign in the lead up to the 2020 election, and it may be about Joe Biden or Hunter Biden.
So they were primed to believe, not to believe anything about Joe or Hunter Biden that might come out in the weeks before the election.
Well, did they also say that there might be misinformation about Donald Trump?
Because there were an awful lot of lies that the FBI was involved in.
They used a phony Russian disinformation dossier in 2016 as the bulk of information, and FBI agents, including Comey signing three of the FISA applications.
It says verified on the top of a FISA application.
It turns out it was unverifiable.
It turns out the information coming from Christopher Steele in early October 2016, they offered Christopher Steele a million dollars if this guy would corroborate what he claimed was in the dossier.
He didn't get his million dollars because he couldn't corroborate any of it.
But then by the end of October, even though he couldn't corroborate anything, they still used it and said before the Pfizer quarter was verified.
It was not verified.
And then in January of 2017, they meet the subsource, this guy, uh Danchenko.
And the subsource says none of this is true.
This is all bar talk.
And yet what does the FBI do?
They put them on the payroll.
They put them on the payroll of the FBI.
Oh, that's that's that's not an abusively corrupt and biased agency at the top.
I'm not blaming rank and file.
I love those guys.
I know rank and file guys, and guess what they're doing?
They're retiring.
They're leaving.
They're getting out.
Some are leaving before their pensions are up, they can't take it anymore.
It's unreal.
Dodging question after question after question.
I mean, it was uh it was infuriating.
And then we have Merrick Garland out there today.
Merrick Garland actually, I mean, I'll play some of this later.
He actually said the fentanyl crisis unleashed, has been unleashed on this country on purpose by Mexican drug cartels.
He is the AG of the country.
We have laws in terms of entry into the United States.
You're not allowed to enter the United States illegally under his president, because the Justice Department, the FBI included, is part of the executive branch.
They allowed over five million illegal immigrants into the country.
And that left open or left our borders wide open.
All the resources were processing people and letting them into the country, which is illegal, and he didn't lift a finger to stop it.
He's never stopped sanctuary cities from breaking the law or sank the sanctuary state of California.
He says, Well, we have more than enough ability to attack the fentanyl problem.
How about you secure the border and do your job and enforce the laws of the land, uh, Mr. Garland?
It's not that hard.
And he said the diplomatic concerns labeling Mexican cartels as terror terrorist organizations.
Wait a minute.
We're gonna talk about drug cartels peddling either human trafficking, drug trafficking, and we're worried about diplomatic concerns.
Are you kidding me?
Do you have any diplomatic concern when when your agency, when your Department of Justice goes after a conservative?
I don't think so.
Then he said the DOJ has prosecuted more pro-life protesters.
Want to know why?
Because their actions take place during the day.
So I guess the FBI goes to sleep at six o'clock at night and don't they don't want to work at night when um you know these left wing groups are, you know, throwing if you know fire bombs into pro-life centers.
Wow, what an answer that was.
I couldn't believe it.
And he said, I have pledged not to interfere with the Hunter Biden investigation.
Uh, you guys have had the laptop for three plus years.
You know damn well you don't want to deal with it, period.
Ted Cruz grilled Merrick Garland over the lack of prosecutions against those that those who are threatened.
And I And that's where we are.
We have a politicized FBI and a weaponized Department of Justice.
By the way, Biden takes his typical shot at MAGA Republicans in Virginia Beach.
You know, it's a that's a different breed of cat, man.
Come on, man.
You know, remember Biden's White House, I played this yesterday.
Yeah, they kept saying, well, yeah, there's 9,000 unused permits for for oil companies to drill.
Uh no, it turns out there's 6,700.
And when you have a permit, it doesn't mean that there's energy underneath it.
These companies have to spend millions of dollars to determine that.
Biden has now earned 11 Pinocchios from fact checkers during the coronavirus crisis.
You know, if it was Donald Trump, you'd hear about it every day.
Um, you know, it's pretty unbelievable.
Jim Jordan says Garland's refusal to appoint a special counsel in Hunter Biden's probe is beyond conspicuous.
He's right.
Biden administration is banning troops from displaying giant flags at major events.
Why would why would the Department of Defense issue a memoranda to service members telling them that large displays of the American flag at sporting events are no longer appropriate.
What the hell is going on with our government?
Oh, and Biden pledged to raise some taxes in March in his budget proposal.
Just like he raised taxes January 1, they went into effect on coal, on gas, on oil, on pensions, and big corporations that pass that cost on to you.
The Biden administration urging Congress to renew the surveillance law that Democrats used to spy on Trump.
I wouldn't buy Republicans should not approve that.
Until the proper checks and balances and until now part of that law says that if you give misinformation to a FISA court and you find out about it, you are to go back to the court and tell the court that what you thought was true is not true.
Nobody ever did that either.
It's unbelievable.
60% of Americans now living paycheck to paycheck because of Biden inflation.
And it's, by the way, this year is going to be worse than last year.
None of this is gonna none of this is is gonna be good for the American people.
People for bare necessities using credit cards, people cashing in their 401ks and their retirement accounts.
Um pretty unbelievable.
This is now this is what America under woke, under leftists, under New Green Deal radicals looks like.
I think I'll take the guy with the mean tweets back.
The guy that secured our border, gave us energy independence.
The guy that took on China.
The guy that took on Putin.
The guy that killed the caliphate and fought the war to win the war.
I'll take the guy that built the wall, had the lowest level of illegal immigration.
I think I'll take that guy back.
By the way, Lori Lightweight is now blaming her election loss on racism and gender.
I am a black woman in America.
Of course, she replied when a reporter asked if she had been treated unfairly.
I'm a black woman.
Let's not forget, she said.
uh Certainly, folks frankly don't support us in leadership roles.
You were elected mayor.
You were a horrible mayor, and you got fired.
It's that simple.
By the way, the guy that was in second place, it was pretty close at one point during my show last night, and his name was Brandon.
So I said, let's go, Brandon.
I cracked myself up.
What's this here?
Um I guess this is oh, Philly's schools now approve a calendar for the next two years.
Let's see, officials did not say whether respondents were asked about a two-week winter break, but they did ask how respondents felt about half days.
Feedback from families indicated half days are a hardship and parents create expensive childhood challenges.
on and on and on.
Last paragraph.
Holidays will also look different in future years.
Schools will no longer close for Veterans Day, Indigenous Peoples Day, and And I don't even know what the rest is.
Unbelievable.
We're losing our country, in case you haven't noticed.
