What I told people, I was making a podcast about Benghazi.
Nine times out of ten, they called me a masochist, rolled their eyes, or just asked why.
Benghazi, the truth became a web of lies.
From Prologue Projects and Pushkin Industries, this is Fiasco Benghazi.
What difference at this point does it make?
Listen to Fiasco Benghazi on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
And thank you, Scott Shannon, and thanks to all of you for being with us.
Toll-free.
Our number is 800-941 Sean.
If you want to be a part of the program, we'll get to this in a minute.
What is this now?
The third major, you know, spill chemical issue that is has taken place in the country.
This one out of Arizona, a highway had to close down after nitric acid leaks from a tanker truck crash that took place there.
And residents within a half mile, uh 800 meters were ordered to leave, and those within uh 1.6, well, actually, within a mile, were were told to uh shelter in place for several hours after liquid nitric acid was determined to be leaking from the tanker.
Uh this happening on a stretch of uh uh I-10 southeast of downtown uh Tucson.
Shelter in place order was lifted on Tuesday night, but those who have already been evacuated will remain evacuated.
The truck driver was killed, sadly, in in this particular accident.
The agency warned the motorists in the area to anticipate impacts on their morning commute.
There'll be an extended closure, and you know, here we go again.
You know, we still don't have we don't have any answers as to what has happened in Palestine or Ohio uh or how dangerous this may be or what the long-term impact may be.
And you know what the strange thing is, not a word from the climate alarmist religious cultists.
Why not?
You know, where are their voices in this?
And if you think that story is strange, now get this.
Now, you might remember the only thing we heard from Joe Biden, he didn't think it was a major breach that the communist Chinese sent over a spy balloon that flew over Alaskan airspace, uh, down the western coast of Canada into Idaho,
across, you know, the United States into Montana, uh, I over our ICBM silo missile sites there, uh, down to Kansas, down to Missouri, up to Kentucky, out through the Carolinas, uh, and they didn't take any of it out.
And it makes no sense at all whatsoever.
Now, now remember, we originally were told that they didn't know about it right away.
Now they're saying, oh no, we knew about the spalloon before it ever arrived over Alaskan airspace.
Well, if that's the case, as it was making its approach to Alaska Airspace, why didn't they shoot it down then?
Now their excuse for letting it fly for all those days in a row, all the way across the continental United States was well, uh, we didn't want to shoot it over uh population areas, really, because then the next three objects of which they can't give a name to, our our Air Force shoots down three other objects, four objects in eight days, three of the four items they don't even know where they came from.
They don't even know what they were.
All they knew is they Shot them down.
Shot what down?
Nobody can give us an answer of what they actually shot down.
How does that make sense to anybody?
You just, oh, here's an object in the sky.
Let's send up the military and fire a four hundred thousand dollar missile and shoot down something we can't even put a name to or identify.
And I'm not believing a word that any anybody at this point is saying.
Now, Joe Biden was the first to say that he didn't consider it a major breach on Now you're giggling genius vice president Kamala Harris is echoing Joe's position on the China spy balloon fiasco, saying uh to politico that it was no big deal.
Washington Times reports when asked whether the Chinese surveillance overflight of the U.S. earlier this month should have should have an impact on diplomacy between the two global heavyweights.
The vice president told the outlet, I don't think so.
No.
And then she adds that the U.S. seeks competition, but not conflict or confrontation with Beijing in keeping what President Biden stated approach before the surveillance balloon saga began.
Quote, everything that has happened in the last week and a half is, we believe, very consistent with our stated approach, she said.
Her remarks sparking outrage at the National Republican Congressional Committee, which is now demanding the vice president be barred from leading the U.S. envoy to the Munich Security Conference this week after, you know, after asserting this, unless House Democrats agree with Kamala Harris's coddling approach to China, they've got to demand that she cancel her plans to Munich, as she clearly doesn't have the backbone to stand up to America's adversaries.
This is nuts.
There's there's something going on here that we're not being told the truth.
That's not that I can tell you because they don't even know.
Why would we fire at objects that we haven't even identified what they are, but take them out of our have our Air Force take them out of the sky?
By the way, in in a couple of cases, overpopulated areas, which they said they never would do, which was the excuse for allowing the first spy balloon to make its way all the way across the entire country.
You know, so we've got Joe Biden's, you know, disastrous first decision not to shoot down the first Chinese spy balloon.
Now they're saying that they saw it beforehand.
Well, if you saw it beforehand, why didn't you take it down beforehand?
Anyway, so it's now metastasized into a national security disaster as well as a political nightmare, and nobody's answering any questions at all whatsoever.
And then to compensate for the blunder, Biden now apparently is adopting a shoot first, ask questions later policy, even if the nature of the targeted object remains completely unknown.
And if you think it can't get any more absurd, now they're telling us, I don't know whether to laugh or cry.
Now they're telling us uh, but we were very confident that the other three objects of which they don't know what the objects are, are not from China.
Okay, tell me how you get to that point.
So the pilots of the F 16 Falcons from the Wisconsin Air National Guard that were scrambled to intercept the object over Lake Uh Huron last week, uh, but were hampered in identifying it because of the quote glare of the sun, quote, I I really wouldn't call it a balloon.
I don't know what I I can see it outside of my eyes.
One of the pilots is saying in the cockpit recorded by uh and obtained and and repeated in the media.
You know, it looks like something that looks like there's some kind of object that is distended in the air.
It's hard to tell, it's pretty small.
This is the pilot before the shoot down of an object that he can't even identify.
He says, pointing out that the glare in the cockpit is making it difficult to get a good look at at what it is they're about to shoot.
He then says I've got tone, indicating that he has a missile lock on the object, but he can't see it through the cockpit.
And then one of the pilot pilots adds, well, he can't tell whether it's it's metallic or what.
I can see lines coming down below, but I can't see anything below it before confirming that the object was definitely smaller than a car.
Then one of the pilots, if he comes at it from at at the object from the north, now is saying it's kind of blackish.
I'm gonna call it like a container.
Can't really tell you though what shape it is.
They don't even know what shape it is.
They don't know what size it is.
They don't they don't know yet.
The size of it would be challenging if it was so small I can't see it because it's it's so close, one of the pilots says, indicating that he was worried about a possible collision because of the plane's proximity to the object.
Then another pilot says, Well, I'm gonna call it a balloon.
You can definitely see strings hanging down below it, but I don't see anything more.
Quote, it's pretty small.
I don't know about the size of, you know, like a four-wheeler or something.
So one of the Air Force's F 16 jets missed in their first shot of the object over Lake Huron before the second side uh sidewinder missile struck the target.
Um, by the way, I'm not being critical at all of the pilots.
They they're sent on a mission to discover what it is that's up there, and they're told to shoot it out of the sky.
That's their job.
They don't have the luxury of of debating, you know, with the commander in chief as to whether or not they can shoot this thing down or not.
And if you think it doesn't get any more absurd than both Kamala Harris now saying I don't think it's a big deal and Joe Biden saying it's not a major breach, if you if you think it doesn't get worse than that, it does.
Because now China, showing no regret for their unprecedented decision to send the spy balloon to surveil our entire nuclear missile silos in America's heartland, they're now threatening to retaliate against us.
Because we dared to interrupt their spy mission.
Fox News reports the people of the Republic of China threatening uh today to take action against U.S. agencies responsible for destroying and recovering their surveillance balloon.
They're mad at us.
Oh, okay.
We'll just start sending a bunch of balloons over there, airspace, see how they like it.
See how they react.
See how they respond.
They freak out if we even send, you know, a s a single politician to Taiwan and and threaten to even take out of the sky American politicians that are visiting our ally Taiwan.
Anyway, China firmly opposes this, will take countermeasures in accordance with the law against the relevant U.S. entities that undermine China's sovereignty and security.
And here's the other worst part of this is when Secretary of Defense Austin reached out to his counterpart in China, they wouldn't take the call.
Now, this this is where it gets more bizarre.
Now, this came from the Washington Post.
So, what is my first instinct tell me that it was probably leaked to the Washington Post.
And they're reporting by the time the Chinese spy balloon crossed into the American airspace late last month.
Now they're saying the U.S. military and intelligence agencies had been tracking it for nearly a week, and they watched as it lifted off from its home base near China's south coast.
So if they were watching it from the beginning and watching it head right towards Alaska, uh and when it was just about to get over Alaskan airspace, they had an opportunity to take it out before they got any intelligence.
It goes on to say U.S. monitors watched the balloon, settled into the flight path.
That would appear to have taken it over the U.S. territory of Guam, but somewhere along that easterly route, the craft took an unexpected northern turn, according to several U.S. officials who said analysts are now examining the possibility that China didn't intend.
So then making excuses for China.
Well, if they knew that it was coming, why didn't they stop it?
The balloon floated over Alaska, you know, thousands of miles away from Guam, then drifted over Canada and headed south down the west coast of of Canada where they're cl even making excuses where, quote, it encountered strong winds that appear to have pushed the balloon south into the continental United States.
I'm not buying any of this.
There's no way this flight pattern was, was just randomly based on wind currents.
I'm not buying it.
It doesn't make any sense to me.
Anyway, so the blue but this is what they're saying.
Just like they came up with the initial, well, we've been able to piece together that years ago when Donald Trump was president, there were spy balloons then too.
And uh but only for short durations of time.
No evidence whatsoever to back up this claim, and not a single Person in the Trump administration ever had heard a single thing about a spy balloon at the time.
You know, Gordon Chang, who's who's an expert on China, he has a pretty chilling article in the New York Post today.
Make no mistake, China's incursions into our airspace looks like a prelude to an attack.
He said this balloon we shot down, lingered over Malmstrom Air Force Base, the site of approximately a third of America's land-based intercontinental ballistic missiles.
The balloon then flew north or flew near the F. E. Warren Air Force bases and and which houses the remainder of America's Minuteman 3 wings.
The balloon passed over the Whitman Air Force Base, home to nuclear capable B-2 bombers and our B-2 bomber fleet and uh other Air Force headquarters, strategic command and control centers.
Now, nobody seems to be paying attention to the fact that the communist Chinese also are buying up all this ranch land and all this farmland and all this land near military installations.
And we're letting them do it.
That makes any sense.
Not a word from Joe, not a question from the media.
Not one.
Sounds pretty dangerous to me.
Look, you know, uh some of the world all the world's best shooters, by the way, do a majority of their training.

It's called Mantis X. Go to their website, MantiseX.com.
Love loss and shit cost.
Don't get so there's the message.
Not a major breach, no big deal, according to Joe and Kamala Harris, and the pilots shooting down, they can't even identify the objects that they're shooting down.
I mean, how is that possible?
But they they're they're very certain that it's not from China.
They don't they don't want to blame China.
But when we've been tracking, we were tracked that first balloon since the day it was launched.
None of that was none of none of what they said is true.
I mean, this this cockpit audio confirming that the Air Force pilots had a lot of difficulty tracking the unknown object that they shot down over Lake Euron on Sunday.
You know, debating between themselves, is it a balloon?
Is it not a balloon?
Yeah, two pilots talking back and forth.
I I wouldn't really call it a balloon.
I don't know what I can see it outside with my eyes, says one pilot.
Looks like something, there's some kind of object that's you know, distended in the air.
I just hard to tell.
It's pretty small.
Nothing that a the glare in the cop that was making it tough for anybody to ID says, I've got tone, you know, I've been told to take the shot, indicating they had obtained a lock on the object that he still couldn't see.
One pilot adding that he couldn't tell if it's metallic or not.
Uh I see lines coming down from a low.
I mean, this is nuts.
And then, of course, you know, we have Norrad saying, well, it could be from you know, uh uh uh some outer entity of some kind.
You you just can't make this up.
We're just we're shooting things out of the sky.
We're telling people it's definitely not from China, even though the first one was from China.
Then they're claiming that they knew the first One from China was coming, but they did nothing about it, which is contradicting what they originally said.
Um, then mystery, three mystery objects get shot down, and no recovery of the mystery options, and no word from the president at all, and Biden's still quiet on UFOs.
I I what do you what are you supposed to think about any of this?
And the people of China, we just keep reading that they're just laughing their asses off at us, thinking we're the dumbest people on earth, and you know, under Biden, we look pretty dumb.
You know, now China's threatening retaliation against us because we dare to shoot down the balloon that they send into our airspace.
Oh my gosh, you can't even make this up.
Anyway, 800 941 Sean, if you want to be a part of the program.
We have got the other news of the day.

Nine times out of ten, they called me a masochist, rolled their eyes, or just asked, why?
Benghazi, the truth became a web of lies.
It's almost a dirty word, one that connotes conspiracy theory.
Will we ever get the truth about the Benghazi massacre?
Bad faith, political warfare, and frankly, bullshit.
We kill the ambassador just to cover something up.

I want to remind you about our friends at Lone Star Transfer.

That limits their booking options.

Um I've been getting some reaction and surprise, and I'm a little surprised that uh about Nikki Haley making her announcement that she's gonna get in the uh the race for president.
I mean, in 2021, she did say she would not run against Trump if Trump ran.
She obviously changed her mind.
Um, and I was explaining to somebody today, I said, well, that's that that's always the process.
That is that is not unusual.
Um I am not convinced Joe Biden is gonna go without some primary by somebody someplace somewhere.
Uh and if the poll out today is any indication, it's completely warranted.
You have only 12% of Democrats saying that Joe Biden should lead the Democratic Party.
By the way, Mitch McConnell did not fare well.
Almost nobody likes him.
Um, and then I saw an article was in, it was written by Andrew Stein and our friend Mark Penn.
Mark Penn, I've known Mark Penn for decades.
He's a great guy.
He's a he was a Clinton Democrat.
He was Hillary Clinton's top polster from 1995 to 2008.
He was polling for Bill Clinton's uh re-election campaign in 96.
He polled for Hillary's first Senate campaign in 2000.
Uh, he was there for Hillary's first presidential campaign in 2008.
You know, he's he's hardly a Republican.
Yet Mark Penn, Andrew Stein are pointing out that Joe Biden's re-election campaign is pretty much doomed because of the, you know, all the issues that are now coming.
It's sort of like they're all coming together at once, which is not at all good if uh you're a Joe Biden lover, which I don't know many people that are big fans of Joe Biden anyway.
So his re-election campaign is in trouble.
He likely won't be the Democrat.
And he said until now, Biden's been allowed to avoid any serious media questioning.
You know, for example, how come he didn't how come he wouldn't go on with Brett Bear or Martha McCallum or one of the news people at Fox during the Super Bowl?
Because nobody in the White House has any confidence that he can do a 10-minute interview uh in the lead up to a Super Bowl with any degree of confidence that he can answer the questions without making a mess of everything.
Anyway, so he's he's avoided serious media questioning since basically the time that he announced that he's running for office.
Instead, the first real questioning came over document gate and classified material that had been, you know, city sitting in his offices and homes uh contrary to the law for years, uh, and he was the guy leading the criticism against Donald Trump for having top secret classified documents.
It appears everybody has them.
Uh but if you follow his his argument, he's he's making a pretty clear case here that if it wasn't for the you know, rampant crime, defund, dismantle, no bail laws, and they might be trying to change their position now.
It's a little late.
It's kind of etched in cement, where Democrats stand on being lax on crime, you know, out of control, rampant inflation, the you know, the unmitigated disaster at our southern border, rising fuel prices, you know, all of which has put Biden in deep water, uh, never mind the document issues and never mind the issues involving zero experience Hunter.
You know, for example, who found these documents?
What are the documents?
Do they tie into anything of interest with Hunter Biden?
Did Joe Biden lie when he said he never had any discussions with Hunter or his brother about foreign business dealings?
So I think the odds are if I had to bet myself, I'm still saying that you watch Gavin Newsom is measuring the drapes at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
He's going to find a way to get into this race.
Um who was it?
Barack Obama's doctor actually made a comment and was quoted in the Washington Examiner today.
Uh the guy's name is Dr. David Schiner.
He was Obama's personal physician for more than two decades before he became president.
Said the White House is unlikely to disclose when the president goes in and gets his medical exam this year, which is, I guess this week or next week.
Uh he says by the time he completes his second term, he will be eighty-six years old.
I cannot believe he would be, quote, in perfect health.
He's had too many things in his past history.
Remember, Biden had in the eighties when they didn't have the best techniques to deal with aneurysms.
He had two aneurysms, one on both sides of his brain.
He said when you work on the brain, there's always a little damage done.
Then he had atrial uh fibrillation that can sometimes throw off small strokes, deliving a whole area of concern in my mind.
Then he explained that Gaiden Biden has other issues, you know, um, and he said they're not gonna not gonna do the test that would be necessary out of fear that they may actually find something wrong with Biden, which would be the point, which is my theory as to why they won't release the list of names of people that go to see him when he's uh away from the White House, which is forty percent of his presidency.
Uh speaking of, you know, more issues, more questions in terms of the Biden family.
Uh this was first broken by the Daily Mail.
We had a report on it last night.
The New York Post covered it today.
Uh you got one of the principal players in a hundred and forty million dollar legal settlement that took place between Saudi Arabia and a Philadelphia construction company represented by Joe Biden's brother Jim Biden, testified under oath that Joe Biden was, quote, instrumental in convincing the Saudis to pony up the cash.
The story goes on.
James Biden was hired to help a Philadelphia construction company resolve a decades-old dispute with the Saudi government because he was the sibling of then vice president Joe Biden.
This was in court documents obtained by the Daily Mail.
And it was filed in a dispute between the construction company, Hill International, and one of three law firms that it hired to claw back approximately 140 million that the Saudis owed for a desalinization plant built by a Hills subsidiary in the 1980s.
That firm claims that Hill International also hired James Biden.
Now 73 in 2011 to negotiate a secret deal with the Saudis to settle the dispute and get out of paying out of paying Langford the 40% cut outlined in their contract.
And a separate affid affidavit.
Lankreed and Reed's partner, Thomas Langford, alleged that his firm and the Saudis had tentatively agreed on a settlement of Hill's claims worth around a hundred million by November of 2011.
However, after James Biden's February 2012 meeting with Saudi officials in Riyadh, uh Hill initially went dark and claimed that the Saudis had backed off on their settlement.
But then according to Langford Hill International CEO had told him he had retained James Biden because the Saudis would not dare stiff the brother of the vice president who would be instrumental to the deal.
Langford's affidavit does not elaborate on why Richter believed Joe Biden was so instrumental to any settlement.
Imagine for a second if any of this was about a Trump.
Just you just stand back.
You look at the the stench, the money, the deals, the m the amount of money, the lack of experience.
Hunter's Hunter Biden at the time a crack addict, you know, spearheading all of this.
And then of course, Joe's big lie exposed, which is that he never spoke one time to Hunter or his family about any of his foreign business dealings.
Um Linda, did you see our friend Austin Goolsby is in line together?
I did.
I did.
I think it's gonna be fun to have him on and talk about this.
No, as soon as he, if if he takes this position, he will never talk to us again.
No, that is not true.
He adores you.
He will definitely come back on.
Okay, so the White House is considering he by the way, he adores me.
He adores you.
You know, he likes you a lot.
He thinks you're okay for a Republican.
Oh, okay.
Gee, I should be patting myself on the head.
A good little Republican, good little Republican.
Problem is I'm not even a Republican, I'm a conservative.
Uh, the White House is considering nominating Austin Goolsby, who became the president of the Federal Reserve uh Bank of Chicago last month to now serve as a vice chair of the Federal Reserve's Board of Governors, according to people familiar with the matter.
I like Goolsby.
I just don't like his economic policies.
Yeah, I would hate to see him take that position.
I mean, I'm finally able to tolerate him and just be his friend and and forgive him for serving with Obama all those years, and now you gotta go work with Biden.
I mean, oh he kind of left Obama pretty quick.
He didn't stay with Obama very long.
He was uh on the chairman of what economic advisors at the beginning of his presidency.
Uh and he wasn't there for over a day.
Yes, that's a long time.
Yeah, it's too long.
It's too long.
If you're there for if you if if you're only there for lunch, I might be able to look past it.
Beyond that, we're done.
So Goolsby did vote to raise interest rates at the Fed's January 31st to February 1st meeting by a quarter percentage point.
He's not spoken publicly on his policy views since uh being named to his current post in December.
When's the last time we've had him on?
It's been a while.
Yeah, it was before the holidays, but I mean, he's always a super nice guy.
He really is.
He works so hard.
He's such a good guy, good dab, good husband.
I really like him as a person.
Just can't stand his politics.
Well, if you're looking at the economy, there's an article out today.
Uh car makers now are cleaning up since they cut back on production in part because of the semiconductor shortage during the pandemic.
Anyway, new car prices uh are up a whopping 30%.
In 2019, average new car was 38,500 bucks.
What do you think it is was at the end of last year?
Oh my gosh.
I can't even.
New car.
60, 50.
Do you still driving that old jalopy that you've been hanging on to?
No, I mean, I still have it and I love it, and eventually I'm gonna fix it.
It's sitting in my driveway, but you know.
What year is Susie is her name.
2007.
And what what kind of car is it?
She's Jeep Grand Cherokee.
A Jeep Grand Cherokee.
I just love her.
She just looks so nice.
She's old school, she's nice and boxy.
I like those old schools.
It's a it's a car.
It doesn't deserve a pronoun.
First of all, she identifies as Susie, okay?
She's not even I just love her.
She can be whatever she wants to be.
She's a thing of beauty.
She sits in my driveway.
How do you know it's not Sammy?
Because if it was Sammy, it would give me a much harder time.
It's definitely Susie.
She works with me, you know.
But $50,000 for a new car.
I mean, that is a lot of money.
It's insane.
Who can afford it?
I mean, you can't afford eggs, you can't get gas, you can't buy a new car, you can't get kids' ibuprofen or children's Tylenol, and you know, our kids are all sick.
It's it's uh this can't be a m this is not the America I grew up in, that's for damn sure.
I mean, by the way, that that is a real thing.
I know parents that have been dying to get a hold of children's uh Advil and Ibuprofen, they can't get it.
And your whole staff, me, Ethan, Blair, we all got kids.
They're all sick, and we cannot get what they need.
That's a real thing.
It's happening every single day.
Like we are not immune to it.
We are living it.
Baby formula is still low to supply too.
70% increase in egg prices in the last year.
You know what the headline in the Wall Street Journal was?
I mean, if you care about your life, this is insane.
To save money, you should maybe skip breakfast and just have a cup of coffee.
And if you're gonna have coffee, don't have instant coffee.
Uh it's better off if you have roasted coffee, because roasted coffee actually declined in price, 0.1% last month.
But instant coffee, which is crap, and I don't know anybody that would drink that garbage, grows by 3.6%.
But I mean, what a what a headline to save money, maybe you should skip breakfast.
I breakfast is my favorite meal of the day.
Not to mention the fact that our tax dollars are going to the border to give you illegal immigrants cell phones.
Well, that's a good point, too.
And we're paying for health care, and we're paying for housing, and we're paying for everything else.
It's unreal, man.
That's unreal.
And and this is real suffering, real Americans.
You know that.
They don't care.
Biden and his people, they don't care.
It's it's he he's I'm telling you, the in in the prism of history, when we look back on this, even in, I think ten years, if maybe even maybe even five.
I mean, we're living it, but in five to ten years when we look it back on, it's shameful.
It's absolutely shameful.
UK is now saying Russia deployed nearly its entire military in Ukraine, increasing pressure along the front line in the east, but Biden still won't sign off on fighter jets.
Now, we had two separate incidents occur.
One, the U.S. diverted four Russian aircraft flying near Alaskan airspace on Monday.
Uh what government officials called a routine intercept.
Then Dutch fighters, uh, their jets had to intercept Russian jets near Polish airspace.
Uh this also happens on Monday.
Uh a lot of credit to the Polish.
Then they're not taking any of this crap.
But we had to do it uh well, once they entered Alaska's air defense zone, we uh we had to get our planes up in the air and and push them out.
US military did shoot down an Iranium-made drone over an oil site in Syria.
Um I'll tell you, this this world is a mess, and it's in large part, nobody wants to hear it.
I want to know why all of our world leaders are in Europe.
What the hell Lloyd Austin doing in Brussels?
Nothing.
Why there's so many meetings in Europe?
I want to know.
Yeah, another world economic forum.
We pay the bulk of the freight and just to get you know, new green dealism defense out of it.
So stupid.
Exactly.
Exactly.

Although we don't know that they're balloons, we don't know what they are, we just shoot them down anyway, and then proclaim that they're likely not from China.
Uh, but have no fear, because now the uh uh foreign policy expert, Kamala Harris says, Oh, it's no big deal.
