Coming up next, our final news roundup and information overload hour.
All right, news roundup, information overload hour, 800-941-Sean, if you want to be a part of the program.
I think the greatest news that I saw today, well, certainly the progress in Congress is great news.
But in many ways, America's prayers have been answered.
And Bill's safety, DeMar Hamlin, has now woken up.
He was intubated.
He's no longer intubated.
He has his full faculties together.
And you got so many people you got to thank here.
All of the medical professionals and trainers, everybody, the, you know, you had everybody there within a minute, all over this guy to save his life.
And he went into cardiac arrest, as many of you know.
And the greatest part of the story is, Katie's a big football fan or call screener, is when he wakes up, what's the first question he asks, Katie?
Who won?
Who won?
Did we win?
Did we win?
I hope we won.
You know what?
What a great story.
There was one story that made me think of Linda today.
I had no idea that.
Wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute.
You read the DeMar Hamlin story and you didn't think Linda.
No.
Yes.
You don't even know what Cross the Plain means.
I don't, but you know what?
I am getting my verbiage down.
Okay, you've got your fiancé and he's up on football.
So you've had to learn, but it's been a very long process.
Yes.
But you know what?
He got me across the plane.
How did you like that?
Did you like how I used it there?
Was that good?
On football.
What is crossing the plane?
No, I don't know, but it sounded really good when I said it.
You liked it, right?
I liked it.
No one else liked it.
So I don't know.
If you're a longtime listener, you might remember that Linda had a cat.
Oh.
Okay, that cat weighed 75 pounds.
This is the fattest cat ever.
I know you're not supposed to say the word fat, but what other word can you use?
It's not body shaming when it's a cat.
They're felines.
It was an obese feline.
Is that more politically correct and appropriate?
No, woke is a joke to me.
Okay, woke is a joke.
You had an obese feline that you had to send to an obese camp to lose weight because you were killing your cat.
And now she's a fine feline.
Okay, how many pounds did the cat lose?
About 35.
You overfed your cat 35 pounds.
They say the best way to the heart is the tummy.
So get this.
Taylor Swift apparently has this cat.
And apparently this cat is worth a fortune.
$97 million.
Why?
Well, okay, so I'm asking the same question as well.
Now, there are other animals.
For example, Gunther VI, $500 million is worth a German Shepherd that inherited a trust that was a trust fund set up by a German countess who died in 1992.
And now you have a group of managers that fund Gunther's progeny moving forward.
I mean, it's worth $500 million.
Anyway, in the case of Taylor Swift, she has this cat.
It's now the number two most highly, it has a net worth, the highest net worth of an animal.
It's number two on the list, an estimated $100 million for this cat.
And I'm like, how do you, how does this even work?
I still don't know the answer to it all.
I know the answer.
What?
This cat is writing songs.
Telling you right now.
She's laying down some fat tracks.
No, the only songs Taylor usually tends to write are ex-boyfriends.
She eviscerates them.
Have you ever gotten a cat man?
Let me tell you something.
I've seen a connection.
Just letting you know.
I got two right now.
I don't like cats.
I'm not a cat person.
I'm a dog person.
I'm shocked to hear that.
That is news to this audience.
You know, everyone's paying attention to, I don't care about Harry, Prince Harry.
I don't care.
No one cares.
That's why they keep trying to make headlines.
I could understand having a complex about the and the spare, the eh and the spare.
And he calls his book spare.
Okay, I got it.
And his dad, you know, made some stupid joke about, you know, who the father might be because there had been speculation that his mom had an affair.
I just, it's just, you know, both he and Megan Markle, I understand where Piers Morgan is now on this, because they say they want privacy.
They move to Montecito.
They can have all the privacy of Montecito and Santa Barbara that they want.
But then they go ahead and in seeking privacy, they first do an interview with Oprah.
If you want privacy, don't do an interview with Oprah and don't trash your family because that's exactly what they did.
Then they have this big Netflix series, which they're being paid millions for.
And then it's all about them, the whole thing, and about how aggrieved they are.
You know, how his brother once punched him to the ground.
Oh my gosh, two brothers fighting.
Imagine that.
I'm sure that's never happened before.
Or what he's calling the evil stepmother, Camilla Parker Bowles.
If you don't like her, you didn't have to be friends with her.
Just don't be friends with her.
Anyway, all of these things, blaming his brother for wearing that Nazi outfit that one time that he wore, it just goes on and on and on.
And it's so narcissistic and self-indulgent.
I can't take it.
They have to sell 1.7 million books to get back a recoup the money that they paid this idiot for this book.
How many more acts of privacy are they publicly going to demonstrate to us?
Because it doesn't seem like they want privacy.
Anyway, I got that off my chest.
Listen, as soon as I saw the pictures, I don't know if you remember this, but I gave this to you when he said he was going to marry her.
There's six photos of Megan Markle dressed up like his deceased mother, God rest her soul, in the matching outfits.
This is a show for her.
This is all a game.
He has no idea that he has a pawn in this game.
I don't disagree with you, but I will tell you, it's beyond bizarre at this point.
All right, let's get to our phones.
800-941-Sean, our number, if you want to be a part of the program.
Todd in Utah has a great question.
Hey, Todd, happy Friday and Happy New Year.
Glad you called, sir.
Thank you, Sean.
It's a big honor.
First of all, I've got to say out here in Utah, we love God, family, and our country, and so we love you too.
Wow, that's very kind.
God, family, country, Hannity, and Kraumberger.
Amen.
Kraunberger in Salt Lake.
Exactly.
That's what I'm saying.
The pastrami burger.
Oh, the best.
Well, if you're ever out here, we'll get you some good food and show you around.
Just regarding this big vote for the speaker, huge issue, obviously, and it looks like it's happening.
You know, last vote was 213 just minutes ago.
But I think we owe a lot of gratitude to this conservative cadre of 20 Freedom Caucus Republicans because, you know, it's the old story.
Fool me once, shame on you.
Fool me twice, shame on me for letting it happen.
Fool me three times.
Nah, we're not going there.
And so Boehner was strike one.
You know, the conservative Tea Party, God country constitution, you know, swept him in.
He was terrible.
He was awful.
Right.
He did the happy talk, sounded conservative, promised things.
That lasted about 10 minutes.
We got back to his office.
It was business as usual, serving the establishment and the swamp.
Boehner strike two.
Same thing, did the happy talk, sounded good, but it was all lies.
And so you can see why these folks, given this very important juncture in our country's history, would say, hey, we're not doing this a third time.
And so they stood up, and to their credit, they got a lot of concessions that would not have been there.
And so I think we owe them a lot of gratitude.
And I don't think they're grandstanding.
I think they're sincere patriots.
And I just think that that's very important.
Final thought on this.
In the Battle of the Bulge, America's biggest historical battle, we had like, I don't know, 610 to 800,000 soldiers out there fighting.
And it was the Nazis' last big, desperate push.
And I heard that at one part that our line was starting to get weak and some of our soldiers wanting to retreat.
And some courageous kid started digging a foxhole and his commander said, what are you doing?
He said, we don't win battles by giving up real estate.
And so I think he felt shame.
They started digging in and they helped their position and helped hold the line and they were eventually victorious.
And I think that these guys have shown some of that character.
And I think that's very important.
And we'll hope that with this written agreement that it will be binding.
And we don't know.
But again, I can support that.
Well, let me just tell you why it's binding.
Because the motion.
And now, you know, I probably should have told more about the discussions that I had and the lead up to all of this.
All of this I have had on my plate in front of me and have talked to a lot of people about since December.
And I tried to warn everybody not to get to this point and to do it in private, not in public.
I did try to do that.
I knew eventually we're going to get to this final point.
Everything that everybody said that they wanted now has been agreed to.
And I think we're going to be better off for it.
So there's not even a possibility for Kevin McCarthy to deviate away from the agenda or the investigations.
That's the good that's come out of all of it.
And, you know, I never got into a fight with a few people I've been very disappointed with because it's not about serving people.
It became very personal.
You know, it's sort of like the mob.
It's, you know, it's not personal.
It's business.
This is business.
And in this case, it's the business of serving the American people.
And that's too important to me.
And that's my only goal.
I agree with.
I think they should own the commitments they made to America and they signed on to.
I agree with the investigations.
I agree with the right to vacate.
It's time for everybody to get to work now.
I agree with the appropriations process.
You vote on every spending bill separately.
I agree on the term limits side of it.
I agree on the border side of it.
There's nothing I don't agree with the 20 on, but all of this has kind of been, you know, discussed in a way that was irrelevant considering it had all been agreed to.
And that's what frustrated me.
And maybe I didn't explain that well enough this week.
And if I didn't, that's fine.
You know, I love when Donald Trump, Mark Levin, Newt Gingrich, and every other conservative that says, no, this is a real agenda.
He can't deviate.
You know, to use Matt Gates' term, he's in a straitjacket, which, by the way, is something that Paul Ryan and John Boehner never had.
So we made the progress.
Now let's get to the business of governing.
my position right and we need you to keep well first of all thank god that you're out there doing it because you're doing and putting yourself out there where so many of us feel what you're saying but we don't have the the mic the microphone We don't have the guts, you know, to be out there doing what you're doing.
And so this is critical, but you keep his feet to the fire.
I mean, when it gets belonging to you.
I'm going to promise you this, and I want you to hear me loud and clear.
And I've said it many times.
If he doesn't keep the commitments to America promise, if he doesn't keep his promise on investigations, I promise you, I will lead the charge to get him out of there.
Excellent.
And about every 30 days, have your producer or your associate producer who's fantastic.
You ought to give her a pay raise, by the way.
You know, I love when everyone kisses up and sucks up to my staff.
They just got a nice Christmas bonus.
Were you happy with your Christmas bonus, everybody?
You can talk.
I think everybody was happy.
I think he's specifically referencing Katie because he had the luxury of talking about it.
He's learning with Katie, who's engaged.
Why?
That's not right.
Well, lucky man, she's a great lady.
And I know it's easy for me to say, you give her the money.
So I don't want to be a scoundrel there.
But I'm just going to say, this budget appropriation omnibus garbage has to stop.
And so what's the problem?
Don't conflate Kevin McCarthy and Mitch McConnell.
They're not the same people.
I agree.
But what I would say is if you would check about every month, have somebody on your staff touching the base with your contacts and saying, how are the independent separate appropriation bills coming?
I see now why we need the raise because Todd has now given us a new list of things to do every month.
Todd, from Utah.
Hire me.
I'll come out and do it for you.
Or I'll do it from here if you'll.
Hi, you're hired.
You call McCarthy's office every month.
You could be like Curtis Leewood, New York, has just been hired by Eric Adams to get rid of the rats in his house.
It's a hilarious story that's unfolding in New York City.
All right, my friend, I got it rolling.
Appreciate it.
Quick break.
We'll come right back.
We'll get right back to the phones.
800-941-Sean, if you want to be a part of the program, Hannity tonight, 9 Eastern, we'll have the very latest on the battle for speaker.
And we're doing a Hannity audience show tonight.

Joe is in California.
Hey, Joe, how are you?
Glad you called.
Thank you, Sean.
Thank you for the great work that you're doing.
I believe that what we have now with the gang of seven that's left is a tyranny by the minority, a minority tyranny that has gotten all the concessions, has gotten everything in position, and yet they keep not electing McCarthy.
Gates nominated Jim Jordan, and then Jim Jordan votes consistently for McCarthy.
I believe if that's the way that Gates feels, then it's time for him to either resign his position or the voters in Florida to recall him.
This is the time to get to work, get things done, fulfill our agenda, do the investigation.
Our country, I have never seen our country in such sad shape as we are in now, economically, morally, fiscally, any way you want to put it.
This is the lowest point I've ever seen America, and I think it is time for us to elect a speaker and get Congress to work.
And I agree with you, Sean.
If McCarthy turns tail, then it's time to get him the heck out of there and take him out the pasture.
Listen, the commitments are real.
The investigations are real.
If it turns out that he betrays the people in this country and goes against what he promised, he'll pay the price.
He'll lose his job.
It's really that simple.
And that's why I'm not as all wigged out about this as everybody.
I don't see him deviating because he's locked in.
And on the commitments, that was his idea.
It's not like he said, oh, you guys want to come up with this idea.
He did that on his own.
And he did it with the help of some people.
But those are the things that he laid out that he's going to advance as speaker.
It'll be more meaningful in two years.
Hopefully we have the Senate and the presidency.
But, you know, we got a lot of work to do in the meantime, and I'm all about wanting to get to that point.
Anyway, I do appreciate your call.

So Joe Biden announcing the big trip to El Paso.
Oh, finally, Joe.
Hasn't been there his entire career, but he knows everything about the border.
They have repeatedly said and lied to us, the border is secure.
Do you believe that right now there is a crisis at the border?
I think that the answer is no.
I think there is a challenge at the border that we are managing.
So how can you say that's not a crisis?
Well, I think what Ambassador Jacobson and Secretary Mayorkas were conveying and what I've conveyed is it doesn't matter what you call it.
It is an enormous challenge.
We don't feel the need to play games with what it's called.
We turn now to the growing humanitarian crisis on the southern border.
A new wave of migrants is flooding across the Texas border.
Border officials in El Paso, Texas are asking for more federal money after more than 2,400 migrants crossed the southern border there over the weekend.
The Border Patrol in El Paso now reporting an average of more than 2,400 illegal border crossings every day.
The surge of migrants, mainly from Central and South America, overwhelming border officials.
Migrant facilities at capacity here, forcing Border Patrol to transfer migrants to other parts of the border.
A senior Homeland Security official calling the situation, quote, an absolute mess.
I've been reporting in this exact spot to see that Juarez for years now on migration.
I have never seen anything quite like this.
I've heard you and the Judiciary Committee recently in the summer testify that the border is secure.
Secretary Mayorkas, do you continue to maintain that the border is secure?
Yes, and we are working day in and day out to enhance its security, Congressman.
Well, we did a little research, as we always do on this program, and what did we find?
So far, under Joe Biden, 4.3 million illegal immigrants have entered this country.
That is by far a record.
This year alone beat last year's record.
Over 2 million people this year.
It's crazy.
And then we did a little bit more.
Even the Department of Homeland Security, even they themselves recognize at least 500,000 known getaways since Joe Biden became president.
And by the way, approximately, I'm sorry, approximately 900,000 getaways since fiscal year 21, bigger than the population of San Francisco.
So it's really, you know, 5.3 million people when you talk about the gotaways.
Then we have other interesting things.
You know, if we support immigration, I support immigration.
I'm not anti-immigration.
I'm the product of immigration.
My grandparents came from Ireland at the turn of the last century, and they came here with no money, and they had very hard lives, and they were poor their entire life.
And my parents grew up poor.
And the hope was that the dream of America, that every generation would have a better opportunity and a better shot at the American dream.
And then you look at some of the other issues involved in all of this, and you find out that according to Border Patrol, you have 500 and just this year alone, 547,048 pounds of illegal drugs, fentanyl, heroin, meth, cocaine, human trafficking on top of that.
I mean, just fentanyl alone, 26,637 pounds of fentanyl, enough to kill every single solitary American.
I mean, it's unconscionable.
You know, cocaine, heroin, meth, 474,485 pounds under Biden.
And by the way, that does not include all the drugs that got into the country that are killing our children every single day.
And yet they tell us the border is secure.
And now Joe Biden's saying he's going to, what?
Oh, we're going to reduce it to 30,000 illegal immigrants a day.
So you're still aiding and abetting the lawbreaking.
And then you provide preferential treatment because there's no background check.
We know 100 people in the last year were on the terrorist watch list.
They got through and got caught.
We don't know how many people got through and didn't get caught that were on the terrorist watch list.
We have no idea.
They're not doing background checks, no health checks in the middle of a pandemic.
You know, you have $30 plus trillion dollars in debt.
It's not like we can afford not to have a means test if people are allowed into the country legally.
They got to show that they're going to be able to take care of themselves.
I don't think there's anything strident about that position in any way.
But anyway, here's your president, Joey Biden, talking about it.
Today, I'd like to, the vice president, I'd like to talk to you about how my administration is dealing with our situation in the southwest border.
Now, these actions alone that I'm going to announce today aren't going to fix our entire immigration system, but they can help us a good deal in better managing what is a difficult challenge.
Look, we need more resources to secure the border.
Yet again, extreme Republicans have said no.
Many Republicans agree we should do something, but it's time to stop listening to their inflammatory talk.
But if the most extreme Republicans continue to demagogue this issue and reject solutions, I'm left with only one choice, to act on my own, do as much as I can on my own to try to change the atmosphere.
Yeah.
Okay.
By the way, I don't know what's going on with a voice.
It sounds he's got something going on in there.
Who knows?
It sounds to me like he might be on Prednisone.
And I'm just guessing.
By the way, I wish the president good health.
I mean, I wish he knew that today was Friday.
I don't think he does.
If he does, he's probably going to forget it in about five minutes, but whatever.
All right, let's get to our busy phones.
Chad is in Texas.
Chad, hi, how are you?
Glad you called.
Hey, Sean.
Happy Friday to you.
And also happy new year to you and all of your wonderful staff.
I wish you guys great success in radio and also television.
So happy new year to you and Linda and everybody, even Katie.
She's awesome.
Why is everybody in this, why is everybody flirting with Linda and Katie these days?
Why are you sucking up to Katie?
By the way, they're both engaged.
First of all, Chad sounds like a good Christian man who's just wishing some good happy new year, love.
No, you just love to get sucked up on.
Absolutely.
I'm alive.
I'm human.
Hello.
Katie, you know, is your boyfriend fiancé loving all this attention you're getting?
Oh, yeah, he's all on board.
Oh, boy.
Figures.
Because Linda is the twin sister to Marissa told me, Miss Mona Lita Vito, and I'm a big fan of that.
Daddy, you mean my new year?
Happy New Year.
Well, one of the greatest movies of all time.
My cousin Vinny.
I love that movie.
Yeah, quickly on that.
If I'm doing stuff around the house, I've got TNT or TBS, that movie comes on.
I'm done.
I'm ruined.
I will not move from whatever scene it is in the movie.
The real reason I called him really lucky to get through the busy phone lines.
You touched on it earlier this week, even on Tuesday, or was it Wednesday when you had your friend Stephen A. Smith coming off talking about DeMar Hamlin really quickly?
His progress has been phenomenal.
He's already talking with his teammates.
He opened his eyes yesterday.
Was it late Wednesday?
And the reason why I'm calling about it, I've talked sports with you before, before Super Bowl.
Monday, we got the national championship.
I live in Fort Worth.
TCU was in it.
But, Sean, the reason why there's no way TCU is going to beat Georgia.
You know what?
I'm an Aggie.
That is not true.
I'm sorry.
I saw that game.
That game was incredible.
That was against Michigan.
That was ridiculous.
They spanked them.
Okay, you don't even know what across the plane means.
Why am I listening to you on football?
Listen, that game was incredible, and they had some incredible defense.
It was a wonderful game.
What happens if somebody gets a safety?
They're going to do the best they can.
What does a safety mean?
They keep people safe on the field.
No, good try.
So I'm not listening to you on football.
All right.
Go ahead, Jess.
Anyhow, I'm like your friend Rick Perry.
I'm an Aggie stuck here in Fort Worth.
I hope they win.
I got 39 to 23, Georgia.
But back to the reason why.
Well, I'm just mad that they beat Blue.
I'm mad that they beat Michigan.
So I have a personal vendetta in this game as well.
Right.
The reason I brought up sports that, because I've talked with you sports before in the years past, and this very unfortunate situation took the country and also the world by storm because everybody across the world can watch Monday Night Football.
But the severity of this situation, how he collapsed on the field, and basically his heart stopped.
And thankfully, that expert medical of both the Bills and Cincinnati on the field were quick to revive him.
The statistics of surviving that.
Camito Cordes, obviously, it got to be a cardiac arrest, what have you, but I cannot imagine being a player, even if you're a fan and saw that, there's going to be some type of psychic, especially the T. Higgins of the Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver.
And I mean, Sean, let's say I know sports and talk about it.
I do sports commentary, but also in this situation here, he's 24 years old.
Now, he's not the big name of like, you know, Tom Brady or Prescott or Patrick Mahomes.
That's your relative.
But unfortunately, the America that watches football NFL and the world knows this name now.
They won't ever forget it.
And thank the good Lord for the best medical care that could happen.
And thank goodness that UC, University of Cincinnati Medical Center, is a great facility.
But to see an ambulance, it was heartbreaking.
It was heartbreaking.
It was heartbreaking.
But it was also, you know, thank God he's healthy.
And maybe I'm asking for too much here, but now that they took out his breathing tube, he's off the ventilator, and he's communicating, and he had no apparent cognitive impact in all of this because they worked so quickly on him.
I look at every single person on that field and all the fans in Cincinnati and all the people around the country that have donated to his charity.
And what a great story.
He wakes up.
Did we win?
That was his first question, which is amazing.
Maybe I'm asking too much, but I'm kind of hoping and praying that Hamlin gets back on the football field one day.
If that's his desire, it has to obviously come from him.
And meaning that he's healthy enough that if he chooses that, he could do it.
I hope that's the case.
If he walks out of the hospital, everybody is going to love it.
If he gets to play again, that'll be great.
If not, no worry.
Two last things, Sean's.
I know we got to wrap it up here.
Hopefully the NFL can somehow, some way, if the Bills don't get to the Super Bowl, but let's say they don't.
Hopefully they can get him to Glendale, Arizona, where it's going to be played, and either by air or by travel to get him there, especially if he's physically able to do so.
Last thing, this has only ever happened twice that I can recall in American sports, 1971, Chuck Hughes.
He died.
He collapsed and died on the field with 60 seconds left in the game.
And most recently, and formerly Dallas Stars player, Rich Beverly, March 10th, 2014, he collapsed on the bench in the first period.
And a cardiac event as well.
They revived him.
So things like this can happen.
You hardly ever see it.
And there's much, much more physical violent hits in football and also hockey.
This was at the wrong place the wrong time.
And it's just one of those one in a million.
I think a lot of people share your opinion, my friend.
God bless you.
I appreciate the call.
I hope you have a great weekend.
In all seriousness, good luck to your team on Monday night.
You deserve to be there.
You beat an undefeated Michigan Wolverines, and I'm pretty pissed off about it, but I can live.
It's just not going to ruin my life, I promise.
All right.
Let's go to Doug in North Carolina.
Doug, how are you?
Glad you called, sir.
And thank you for taking my call.
You want to ask Linda a football question?
Go ahead.
Yeah, how about them dogs?
How about them?
Do you know what he's talking about?
Do you have any?
The Bulldogs.
That's the team.
That's how they say in Georgia, too.
How you bulldogs?
Doug, am I right?
That's the team, right?
It is.
Georgia Bulldogs.
There you go.
You're welcome.
What university is it?
University of Georgia.
You're getting lucky.
I'm just saying.
Two for two.
What's the safety, Linda?
Keeping people safe.
Stick them in my root list.
What does it mean to cross the plane?
I truly don't know.
I wouldn't lie to you.
I wouldn't.
You don't know.
I'll let Doug have his call.
I don't want to take up his time.
How many points do you give her a touchdown?
You get six.
Wow, we've made progress.
You know?
And you got that inversion thing where you get those weird threes?
That's fun.
The inversion thing, the weird threes?
What inversion thing?
He just looked at me and said, Katie, what inversion thing?
What does that mean?
You know how sometimes you get those weird points and it's like, oh, they're up by three with the field goal.
What is a field goal?
Is that wrong?
She doesn't know what she's talking about.
Doug, go ahead.
What's on your mind?
Well, I appreciate the call.
You've answered my question.
I know you started in the South.
I'm glad to hear you're a Bulldog fan.
Listen, I think it's George's year, but I got to tell you, TCU did a number on and had a really good game against Michigan, and I got to tip my hat to them.
I'm a little partial to Michigan because I know people that go there, but short of that, I can accept the loss like everybody else.
You got to learn in life.
You win, you lose.
You don't always win.
But I think it's George's year for sure.
I'd like to come back in for a second thought.
Why?
Because Katie just told me the answer.
Wait, because I saw you talking about it.
I asked her.
I'm like, wait, there is such a thing as a field goal.
And she said, yeah.
And Jason said, yeah.
They said, but nobody's ever used the word inversion.
I said, you know, the thing where you get like the two or three points.
And then she was like, two-point conversion?
And I said, yeah, that.
That's what I'm talking about.
The inversion, you mean the conversion.
The inversion means I had a Biden moment, and I apologize to America.
Unbelievable.
All right, we've got to take a quick break.
800-941 Sean, if you want to be a part of the program.
