Time Text
This is an iHeart Podcast.
All right, Hour 2, Sean Hannity Show.
25 days, you get to hopefully get the country, begin the process of getting the country back on track.
Things couldn't be any worse.
You know, it's an amazing thing, this spin.
You know, this is nine consecutive months over 8% inflation.
Remember, Joe Biden inherited an inflation rate, gross domestic product of 1.4%.
You look at everything you buy, every store you go to, and it is a reminder of this failure.
Now, the worst part of this, too, is that they are lying to us and have been lying to us the entire time.
They lied when they said it was transitory.
They lied when they said today's inflation number is zero.
It's zero.
No, it was 8.5%.
It wasn't zero.
And they kept saying it.
Joe said it, not once, not twice.
He said it repeatedly.
Kamala Harris said it repeatedly.
And yet it's only 0.2%, Joe says.
I'm like, no, Joe, it's the ninth consecutive month that we have a 40-year high of inflation.
And as a result, now we have 30-year fixed-rate mortgages, you know, going now up to 7%.
And when we get the next rate hike, probably another 75 basis points, then it's going to be 8%.
And if it keeps going this way, you'll have double-digit interest rates.
And then the economy, oh, it'll slow down.
And many Americans then will find themselves out of work and not the Americans that don't want to work.
Here's Joe.
This is the last nine months of just the same lying, the same blame.
Blame Trump, blame Putin, blame anybody but yourself and your stupid economic policies, your new Green Deal socialism, your idiotic, imbecilic energy dependency plan that you have, which is, oh, we'll save the planet.
We're going to switch transition to renewable energy.
What renewable energy?
The technology that they're talking about for the amount of energy we need is not in existence.
Won't be for the next foreseeable future, for the next 20 years that I can see.
But we won't drill domestically.
We won't frack domestically.
We don't produce energy domestically.
We'll just import it from countries that hate us.
Saudi Arabia, OPEC Plus.
The plus is Russia.
Venezuela.
We'll beg the Iranians.
It is bad for national security.
We're losing high-paying career jobs in the energy sector.
And then, of course, you're paying record prices at the gas pump.
Told you they were going back up.
Told you he artificially reduced it by putting our national security at risk and tapping into half of the strategic petroleum reserves.
That's now at nearly a 50-year low.
That was a dumb idea.
That's for an emergency.
Democrats losing elections is not an emergency, only to him.
It's just, it's insane.
But here come the lies, the excuses on queue.
Listen.
We saw today's inflation data.
70% of the increase in prices in March came from Putin's price hike in gasoline.
We expect March CPA, CPI headline inflation to be extraordinarily elevated due to Putin's price hike.
Right now, and again, part of that justice is lowering cost.
Right now, of course, we had the Putin price hike at the pump.
Inflation is a real issue.
A lot of it is having to do with the COVID and supply chains and now Putin's gas tax essentially by virtue of his invasion of Ukraine.
So clearly we are, and Americans are struggling with inflation.
But I don't think anyone predicted Putin's war in Ukraine.
The cause of this inflation is the supply chain problems that were caused by COVID.
We're still struggling with.
One excuse after the other.
Never mind the transitory lie.
Anyway, David Sokolo is with us, author of America in Perspective, defending the American Dream for the Next Generation, which, by the way, I'm deeply concerned about.
I am making the case, David, and you tell me if I'm wrong.
You're an economist.
You know the economy as well as anybody I know.
I'm making the case that we have unilaterally disarmed economically by abandoning energy independence.
It is sacrificing national security.
It is killing off high-paying career jobs.
It is one of the driving forces of inflation.
We're now paying double what we paid per gallon for gasoline when Donald Trump was president.
And it's going to go higher again.
It's already up to $6.50 a gallon on average in California.
It's going to be back up at $5 a gallon.
I told everybody the strategic reserves was abandoned.
You tell me what you think.
Well, first of all, Sean, thanks for having me on.
And you're exactly right.
Add to that, you know, back in 2020, you know, some form of stimulus to offset the fact that the government was kind of mandatorily shutting down the economy probably made sense.
We could debate how much, but since then, the $2 trillion, for instance, that were thrown into the economy last year, plus the three-quarters of a trillion dollars totally falsely named earlier this year, the Inflation Reduction Act, I assume they're not using that name anymore given the results.
But when you throw that much money in, and then you're expecting the Federal Reserve to be able to control inflation through interest rates, well, they have to try, but the administration's got to stop throwing fuel on the fire on the other side.
And then your point about, you know, we have a forced Fed energy prices.
America today could be producing 2 million barrel equivalent more a day had the Biden policy just not been put in place.
You can't get elected telling people, I'm going to put you out of business, oil company.
I'm going to put you out of business, gas company, because they're going to believe you, particularly since you've pretty much put coal businesses out of business.
And so they're not going to be there when you need them.
And it's all part of this insane environmental strategy that has no plan.
Just basically the strategy is make fossil fuels so expensive that people will think you're doing them a favor by forcing them to buy electric cars.
If you really want to attack CO2, put together a plan, get the American people to buy into a consensus, then get the rest of the world to buy in.
Don't just bankrupt America with no effect to the climate if China and India and everyone else doesn't participate.
You know, it's amazing when you unilaterally disarm.
I find this whole thing humiliating, and now it's taken on a whole new significance.
What are your thoughts on what Saudi Arabia put out in terms of their statement, the statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, exposing the fact that not only did the kingdom and OPEC Plus, meaning Russia, with OPEC, not only did they deny the request of Joe Biden to increase production, they are decreasing it.
And Joe Biden, they revealed the government of the kingdom clarified through its continuous consultation with the U.S. administration.
All economic analysis indicate postponing the OPEC Plus decision for a month, according to what has been suggested, meaning Joe asked, Joe is asking, would have had negative economic consequences.
Then they further went on to say that the kingdom stresses that while it strives to preserve strength in its relations with friendly countries, it affirms its rejection of any dictates, actions, or efforts to distort its noble objectives to protect the global economy from oil market volatility.
And the kingdom affirms that its view of its relationship with the U.S. as a strategic one that serves the common interests of both countries.
They exposed Joe Biden basically said, delay the announcement, delay the cut, which he knew was coming, until after the midterm elections.
That sounds like he's colluding with the Saudis, with OPEC Plus, meaning OPEC nations, and Russia.
And he's trying to get them to do him a favor before the election.
Yeah, I agree.
I mean, last time I checked, it was illegal to get foreign governments to be involved in U.S. elections.
And there's obviously no reason other than that that the president would be asking Saudi Arabia to delay the reduction.
The reality is, this administration wants higher oil prices.
They just don't want them when it's inconvenient from an election perspective.
But every voter out there should be paying attention that he didn't ask them not to make the cuts.
He hasn't done things in America to help our production increase to offset oil prices.
He actually wants higher oil prices.
And he was basically telling the American population, particularly those in lower income and middle income, I don't care that you're paying more for the pub.
I just don't want it to affect these elections coming up in November.
That should be a loud message.
That sounds like he's colluding with foreign countries to influence the outcome of our election.
I thought if Donald Trump did this, what do you think the reaction of the media mob would be and Democrats would be?
Well, they would go crazy just as they did with the lies from the Clinton campaign about Russian collusion.
It didn't exist.
They knew it didn't exist.
And we've got to get back to holding people accountable because this type of manipulation of elections is going to destroy our republic if we're not careful.
All right, quick break more with David Sokol, the author of American Perspective: Defending the American Dream for the Next Generation on the other side.
Then we'll check in with New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu will join us.
We'll talk about General Bullduck and how he's doing.
And can the Republicans pick up a seat in New Hampshire for the Senate?
We'll get to that.
Anyway, look, with the cooler weather, it may be tempting to cozy up, but there's something about fall.
Maybe you feel like, you know, we're doing a refresh for your home, get it ready for the holidays.

Tell them your friend Sean Hannity sent you.
America listens to Sean Hannity.
And he's on.
David Sokol is with us, author of American Perspective, Defending the American Dream for the Next Generation.
You know, it's pretty unbelievable that this is where we now find ourselves.
All of these problems we're now facing were so preventable.
We didn't need a 41-year high of inflation.
We don't need to double our gas prices and even going higher.
But you're right, they chose these policies.
And what amazes me is there's no the era of big government is over, the end of welfare is we know it moment for Biden and in his future that I can see.
I think he is beholden to this radical transition to renewable philosophy in spite of the fact that the technology is not there to provide the lifeblood of the economy like fossil fuels does.
That's it.
They're living in a fantasy world, and they're making every American pay dearly because of their adherence to this religious cult of climate that they believe in.
Well, you can only assume they're doing it to cause a major disruption in our economy so that they can enact additional ways to control and take power away from the people.
The reason that Adam and I wrote the book, American Perspective, is to remind people that our founding fathers were brilliant, and they put checks and balances into our system.
And those checks and balances are being eroded every day by this president and the Democratic Party, sadly.
And we've got to stand up.
I had a conversation yesterday.
A 31-year-old approached me, someone that I'd known, but he said, David, why are you opposed to the president giving away $10,000 and $20,000 for tuition payment and forgiving those loans?
I said, well, let me ask you a question.
If the president raised your interest rate 2%, would you be good with that?
Well, he doesn't have the right to do that.
Where does he have the right to forgive your loan?
Those are my dollars, your dollars.
They're every taxpayer's dollar.
He has to have Congress's authority to spend that money.
Now, you wouldn't like it if he raised interest rates, but you're fine with him.
And the individual actually said, gosh, David, I never thought about it that way.
You're right.
He either does have the right or he doesn't.
We've got to take away this authoritarian mentality where the Democrats think they can just do it, even when the court tells them they can't and even when Congress tells them they can't.
Well, you have Democrats openly saying they're not going to agree or abide by Supreme Court decisions.
Even the guidance on dating ballots in Pennsylvania that the court put out, we're told that Pennsylvania officials are rejecting the Supreme Court's guidance, just like other states are rejecting the Supreme Court's opinion on the Second Amendment, just like Joe Biden bypassing co-equal branches of government and the legislative process and the legislative branch by just, you know, unilaterally by executive fiat saying we're going to forgive student loans.
Now, that's being challenged in the courts.
I think he will lose.
But the fact that he's doing it, trying to do it in that authoritarian way, as you say, is scary to me.
Yeah, and he's doing it knowing he can't do it.
He knows the court will return this.
But why is he doing it?
To garner votes in November.
If he gets overturned in December or January, he doesn't care.
You know, that's a new chapter in American politics where we have an administration that does things they know are wrongful just because it'll get them votes, and then it'll go away later, and they'll say, oh, gee, it's Republicans' fault.
The American people need to stand up.
And by the way, I'd say the exact same thing if the Republican wasn't president.
Yeah.
I'm with you.
We really appreciate you being with us.
David Sokol, author of America in Perspective, Defending the American Dream for the Next Generation.
All of that is on the ballot in 25 days.
And I can't convey the sense of urgency I'm feeling.
And I hope the rest of you are feeling it as well.
If we don't stop this, if we don't get out and win, and November, one side's going to win and one side's going to lose.
There's going to be a winner here.
And this is, you know, Joe was right in his mean, you know, deep, dark, red, MAGA Republicans should be hated.
They're fascist speech.
One thing he got right is this is an inflection point for the country, and it's a battle for the soul and philosophy of how we govern this country.
Do we remain a democratic republic rooted in freedom and our Constitution?
Or do we become this far-left-wing authoritarian extremism?
Do we adopt that as a new way of life, thinking these utopian promises will come true one day?
It never does.
David, appreciate it.
Thank you.
800-941-Sean, our number.
Governor Chris Sununu of New Hampshire will join us.
We'll get a snapshot what's going on in his race.
And does General Bullduck have an opportunity to win over there?
25 to the top of the hour, 800-941, Sean.
If you want to be a part of the program, we expect in a few minutes we'll be joined by Governor Chris Sununu in the great state of New Hampshire.
We're following his race really closely.
Here's his latest ad.
Governor Chris Sununu is leading the way, working every day to deliver energy relief for New Hampshire families.
Here in New Hampshire, we're taking action, delivering electric bill credits, leading in offshore wind development, cheap hydroelectric power, and investments expanding solar.
And when they pass new taxes on your energy bills, I veto them.
Now with winter approaching, we're taking action again with more energy assistance to more families than ever before.
Vote Chris Sununu for governor.
You know, it's always coming down to energy.
Let me tell you about New England this winter.
New England, and then you talk about the upper Midwest.
They're going to get slammed with record-high heating bills for the winter.
I mean, this is going to be a nightmare winner for many people that live in states that get cold.
Anyway, 800-941-Sean, our number.
If you want to be a part of the program, Mark is in Oregon.
Mark, how are you?
Glad you called.
I understand that the governor's race in your state, the Republican, has now made really big inroads and apparently has put so much fear into the Democratic governor that they're now sending Joe Biden in as reinforcements.
It won't help him.
He's pretty pathetic.
By the way, nobody else wants to be seen with Joe Biden.
Probably a mistake, but I digress.
What's on your mind today?
Well, Fetterman, he had a stroke, and he is worse off than I am when I had mine.
I'm sorry you had a stroke.
How old were you when you had a stroke?
That was three years ago.
I'm 65, so that would be 62.
Wow.
You sound like you've gotten you maintain your cognitive strength.
You don't sound like you're struggling.
Well, at first, the only name I could remember was my new wife's name, not even my own.
So she kept me going, and she's still here.
Wow.
I'm glad you're okay.
Look, I wish Mr. Fetterman the best in terms of his health.
It's not personal for me.
I have a dislike of his policies.
That is a very deep, you know, difference of opinion that we have.
You know, he's the single biggest pro criminal candidate running in this election cycle.
This guy wants to open up the prisons in Pennsylvania, let half the people out.
This guy has advocated for releasing more murderers that were convicted than any other person that I can ever think of running for any office.
This is a guy that wants a moratorium on fracking.
That's an $80 billion industry in Pennsylvania.
No restrictions on abortion.
He's never worked a job in his life.
He's been a trust fund brat.
He tries to put forth this image of a working guy with the hoodie and the tattoos.
He's never worked a day in his life.
Doesn't even do anything as lieutenant governor except work hard at freeing guilty prisoners and getting them out of jail.
This is a guy that wants free, safe, clean injection sites for heroin, and he wants the taxpayers to pay for that.
I can go on all day about this guy, and I can't even believe that this is a race.
But the more people learn about him, the more they're going to vote for Ozm, I'm certain of that.
Anyway, I appreciate it.
I've got to let you go, Mark.
I got Governor Sununu from the great state of New Hampshire, the live-free or die state of New Hampshire.
By the way, that would be a great title for a book, don't you think?
It's a bestseller, bestseller.
By the way, number one bestseller.
We've got to be more specific, Governor.
Number one for many, many weeks.
Yeah.
But what are you going to call the sequel?
There will be no sequel.
I don't know.
I hadn't written a book in 10 years, swore I'd never do it, but I felt the title was Live Free or Die, America and the World on the Brink.
We're living the on-the-brink part right now, unfortunately.
Well, it's crazy.
Look, I'm an engineer.
I'm a math guy, and I got definitely a couple books worth of stories in me, but I'm just not a very good writer.
So if someone wants to peel them out of me, have at it.
But I don't know.
That's why I do a lot of radio and TV.
I can tell my stories that way because us engineers from MIT, sometimes we don't speak so good or write so good, you know?
I think you're the only person, I believe this was on Real Clear Politics, that actually has your odds of winning at 99 in 100.
And Tom Sherman, whoever that is, I have no idea who your opponent is, at 1 in 100.
And I think you've earned the trust of the people of New Hampshire.
I'm very worried about your state come this winter.
I just played your ad while we were getting you on the line, your recent ad about energy.
And I'm really afraid you're going to see prices double in terms of people heating their homes this winter.
There's going to be a lot of people freezing in New England this winter, people that won't be able to afford to heat their homes this winter.
Oh, no doubt.
Look, we're at the end of the line here in New England.
So we're kind of the last ones to get natural gas, which is wonderful out of Pennsylvania, which is why, again, as you brought up, Federman has to be defeated because we need to keep natural gas coming out of Pennsylvania and the Midwest.
We're kind of the last of the line.
And as all these kind of very liberal states around New England have been shutting down their natural gas plants and things that provide reliability, the whole system is becoming much more inflexible.
So electricity prices are rising.
And then, of course, nationally, we have this huge fuel crisis.
And it isn't just price anymore.
It's a lack of actual product.
People are only getting two or three weeks of supply, these wholesalers, whereas before they'd have four to six weeks of supply.
So the entire resilience of the system is shaking.
Prices are skyrocketing.
And yeah, if you're in a fixed income or a low-income family, inflation is already crushing you.
Never mind what's very likely to come at you this winter.
And it's not going away.
It's not getting any better.
So you got to change policies if you want to actually have economic benefits and opportunities for your families.
Just that simple.
But I don't see this administration, and I don't see this Democratic Party having the sense to do exactly what you're saying.
Now, they're perfectly fine.
Maybe you can explain this.
They're perfectly fine dealing with OPEC Plus.
They're perfectly fine begging MBS from the pariah nation of Saudi Arabia, the guy that Joe Biden said killed Jamal Khashoggi, and all evidence seems to point in that direction.
They have no problem begging OPEC again and again and even making a deal with the Venezuelans and with Iran.
But they won't drill for oil here.
What's the difference?
What's the impact difference if you drill for oil abroad or domestically?
Do you have any idea?
Yeah, it cuts the price in half.
It cuts the price in half right off the bat.
I mean, look, we cut off Canada.
So then why don't we do it?
Because we refuse to vote for people who actually want to implement the right change.
Look, in America, we get what we vote for.
And this is exactly what we voted for.
It's not what I voted for.
I don't think it's what you voted for.
But unfortunately, it is what America voted for, and it's what we're stuck with, which is why, as much as we look at these polls, I really do think November is a reckoning.
Because at the end of the day, families are going to vote in their best interest, as they should.
Families should be selfish about their vote.
They should vote within their family's best interest, which is bringing some change to D.C., driving down costs, really correcting this inflation crisis.
It's not going to be corrected overnight, but it has to start somewhere, and that's on November 8th.
And I do think there's a reckoning coming.
Let me ask you, I know you're going to win your race by a wide margin.
Things seem to be tightening in the Senate race against Senator Hassan, who, by the way, I don't think anybody outside of New Hampshire even knows who this person is.
You never see her.
She's never done anything.
She's a reliable.
What's that?
She's never even here.
Like five years, she literally just wasn't here.
Forget policy.
Forget about disagreeing with her on policy.
But how about just showing up to your own state?
I mean, that's her biggest problem.
You know, and then I'm looking at General Bullduck, who's been on this program many times, a guy that served, what, from 1981 to 2017.
I mean, he has had an amazing military career, 10 tours of duty, I think, in total.
The guy's got two purple hearts.
He's got five bronze stars, five with, I mean, he's got a bronze star, five with valor, legion of merit, service medal.
I mean, this guy is a highly decorated war hero, and he's within striking distance.
He's not a professional politician, so I give him a lot of slack in terms of maybe not knowing how to deal with the media because they're a bunch of, frankly, idiots.
And all they wanted to do is give you a trick question.
You look at them and say, nice try, and you give him an answer.
So he's got a learning curve here, but his policies are solid, I'm finding.
He's an America-first guy, believes in energy independence, secure borders.
He believes in lower taxes, less government interference in our lives.
You know, he believes in law and order.
He doesn't believe in defunding and dismantling a no-bail.
And he believes in better schools for our kids.
It's not that complicated, Governor.
And the question is, why is that race even close?
So Don Bolduck really is unknown.
He really won his primary with virtually no money.
And so right now, what you're seeing over the next four, five, six weeks is a strong surge, a lot of, finally, money coming in to kind of promote the product, if you will, and show what he's all about.
And I think you're going to see those polls both tighten up and him taking the lead as we get closer to November.
His numbers only go up because he just, like you said, he's not a politician.
He's very inexperienced.
But again, in terms of changing the dynamic of Washington, you've probably heard me say this before, Sean.
I firmly believe you could take all 100 U.S. senators and fire them tomorrow, replace them with 100 working adults, and you will not get a worse result.
You cannot tell me it's going to get worse.
So let's start with firing the entire congressional delegation and the senator from New Hampshire, and let's send them all packets.
And so just bringing change, the concept of change and doing that with someone like General Bullduck, who is a war hero.
He's not polished.
We all get that.
But he is a war hero.
He just wants to serve his state.
He loves the state.
And I think that's a huge opportunity over the next four weeks to sell that message, get that out there, introduce him to the people of New Hampshire, and bring home at least that 50-first vote in the Senate.
Quick break more with Governor Chris Sununu of New Hampshire on the other side.
Then we'll get to your calls next hour, and we'll check in with the AG of Florida, Ashley Moody.
All right, more with Governor Chris Sununu in New Hampshire.
We're talking about also the Senate race there, and that's General Bullduck is running.
You know, it's interesting because if there's any one politician, any one governor that would have coattails that would be impactful, it's you.
I mean, your support of General Bullduck to me is critical.
And by the way, you weren't supporting him in the primary, but you very graciously jumped on board as soon as the primary was over.
We had a number of good candidates there.
And I just think you have those coattails.
Not many politicians have it.
And I think you're going to win by a wide margin.
And if he could just cling on to half of your lead, he'll win.
Yeah, look, I'm not going to lie to you, Sean.
When I go to the gym, I don't skip leg day.
You know, I got to haul some of these candidates over the line with me.
I'll do it.
Whatever it takes.
Get on my back.
But it has to be as a team, too.
It really does.
It's not just a single individual.
Candidates have to stand on their own.
And this is New Hampshire, after all.
Doesn't matter how much money you have.
Hassan's outspent John Bullduck by $25 million, something like that.
And it's a five-point race.
That should tell you a lot about just how disliked he is, how people are looking for change.
And over the next four weeks, a lot of that name ID kind of evens things out and really makes this a race.
And I think if the Republicans invest in that race, will they win?
Will Bullduck win?
Yes.
No, no question.
It's about investment at this point.
It's a race that, by the way, this is probably going to be the cheapest win of a Senate, of a flipped Senate seat in America.
And so the value, that ROI, for anyone who's listening who wants to invest in the Senate race or even the congressional race this year is absolutely huge because you're going to get a real big bang for your buck when we bring home that 51st vote.
You know, I'll tell a funny story.
You were on a town hall show that I did with other governors, and I pulled you aside, being a total talk show host jerk, and trying to convince you to run for the Senate, which, by the way, you know and I know it's better to be an executive and be the governor.
You have far more say and you get much more accomplished.
And you looked at me and you're like, okay, stop.
I'm not doing it.
It was a pretty funny moment for me.
I've known your dad, as you know, for decades.
Yeah, God bless him.
Well, thank God I have my dad.
He's the one that, I mean, I really thought about it.
I did, but let's just say it's not my skill set.
I'm more of an engineer, designer, systems, designer, executive, whatever you want to call it.
You know, the Senate and the Congress have their places.
They have to vote on policy and funding and all that.
But at the end of the day, it's the governors that really have to kind of design the systems and lead by example.
I think Republican governors across the country have done a phenomenal job.
We still talk about, I think we had six governors on that panel that night.
And believe me, we still talk about that in a variety of ways.
Someday I'll tell you the real backstory of that night.
Oh, so you all talk about it.
I mean, you're telling me you talk about me behind my back.
Is that what you're saying?
Yes, that's along with the rest of America, Sean.
Come on, you're famous.
You're popular.
Everyone wants to.
Wait a minute.
I'm famous.
Sean Hannity.
Now, there's a group called Mensa, like all these brilliant people.
And your dad's in the group like five levels higher.
What is that group called?
Nerds.
I don't know.
You told me once that your dad would get mad if you got a B plus on your report card.
I'm like, man, I'm glad I didn't grow up in your household.
Hey, eight kids, and we cherished education, and my folks had pretty high standards, and it turned out pretty high.
A B plus, and you're getting yelled at, you're getting punished?
Geez.
That's hardcore, man.
Let's just say there was that look of, come on, you can do better than that, you know, which is fine.
We set a high bar.
We try to achieve.
And education is the foundation of everything.
I agree.
And it's a mess in this country.
Governor, we appreciate your time.
And good luck.
I don't even have to wish you luck, but good luck in your race.
And thanks for all you're doing for General Bullduck.
I believe, as you do, that that is a winnable race.
And I hope the Republican Party picks up on this is a winnable race and they need to invest that money.
And as you pointed out rightly so, it would be the cheapest pickup of any other state.
So I hope they're paying attention.
