Time Text
This is an iHeart podcast.
All right, news roundup information overload hour 800-941 Sean, if you want to be a part of the program.
So the latest polls have Ted Budd in North Carolina up by a couple of points.
This is a must-hold seat for the Republicans if they are to have any chance of controlling the U.S. Senate.
All these races are important, starting with Marco down in Florida, Herschel in Georgia.
And by the way, Raphael Warnock, that's the guy that ran over his wife during a dispute.
That's the guy that doesn't pay child care.
That's the guy that impeded an investigation into child abuse for a camp that he was running.
Amazing how the media doesn't focus on that in Atlanta.
Then, of course, we've got North Carolina, Ted Budd, who will join us in a minute.
And we have Baldakuzin, who we had on yesterday, running in New Hampshire.
We got Tim, well, we have Tim Scott.
I think he's going to do well.
I think John Kennedy is going to do well in Louisiana.
I think Graham Paul will do fine.
Ron Johnson has pulled ahead against Mandela Barnes in Wisconsin.
Osnau is in a dead heat with Fetterman in Pennsylvania.
Tough race, tough state, winnable.
JD Vance has a slight lead over Tim Ryan in Ohio.
We know Adam Laxalt is doing well in Nevada, and Blake Masters has now closed the gap in Arizona to be within three.
And Carrie Lake, the gubernatorial candidate, is in the lead.
So that could help him out there.
Then we're watching Joe O'Day in Colorado and Tiffany Smiley in the state of Washington.
So a lot of big races out there.
And we're paying attention to all of them.
In the case of North Carolina, well, we have Ted Budd running against Sherry Beasley, former Chief Justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court from March of 2019, December 2020, appointed by the Democratic governor.
And after being appointed, followed her win with a full term.
Anyway, she lost re-election.
Prior to that, she was an associate judge.
But anyway, you look at her position and you look back, you go to the 574 riots in the summer of 2020, and she seems to be defending them.
We must decry the failures of our justice and equity just as forcefully as we decry violence.
It is not enough to say to protesters, go home, follow the rules.
It's not that simple.
We've got to hear each other.
They were throwing bricks, rocks, bottles, Molotov cocktails, and they injured thousands of cops.
We had dozens of dead Americans and billions in property damage.
And she's also tweeting out there's a resounding national chorus of voices whose lived experiences that reinforce the notion that black people are ostracized, cast out, dehumanized.
Rioting is not the answer.
Now, there was certainly justifiable outrage over George Floyd.
Nobody's disputing that.
But it's saying the rioting is wrong part that they're not getting to.
Democrats only care about one riot, one insurrection, the January 6th incident.
What about the 574 other ones?
I don't want to talk about that at all.
She said previously, by the way, that abortion is a constitutional right.
It is not a constitutional right enumerated in the Constitution.
How is this person a judge to begin with?
I mean, it's pretty outrageous.
A lot of the comments, and like a lot of the Democratic candidates, takes a very extreme position, which is that you can have abortion up until the moment of birth.
You look at her positions, for example, on, you know, she believes in all things new Green Deal radical socialism.
The Club for Growth has put out an ad in North Carolina that hits Sherry Beasley as being soft on crime.
Listen to this.
Tori Grady sodomized a seven-year-old boy.
Out on probation, he impregnated a 15-year-old girl, qualifying him for lifetime GPS tracking under a bipartisan state law until Justice Sherry Beasley struck it down.
Beasley ruled that it violated the child predators' privacy.
Last week, Grady was released from prison.
Where's he going?
Ask Sherry Beasley.
She's the reason we won't know.
Club for Growth Action is responsible for the content of this ad.
It is amazing how crime has now emerged as one of the top issues in all of these races around the country.
72% of Americans think this is an unmitigated disaster, and it is an unmitigated disaster.
And the Democratic Party, their defund, dismantled, no bail laws.
They either lied to us about the summer of 2020 rioting, saying they're mostly peaceful when our eyes showed us something very different, or they just ignored the topic because they didn't want to alienate their radical base that was responsible for a lot of the rioting, encouraged by people like Kamala Harris,
for example, tweeting out a bail fund after the precinct, the police precinct in Minneapolis burned to the ground and applauding the LAPD after they defunded a big part of their department.
Anyway, Ted Budd, congressman with us, senatorial candidate, great state of North Carolina, very winnable election.
Everybody take nothing for granted.
Get out and vote in North Carolina.
We need this seat badly.
How are you, sir?
Sean, I'm doing great.
Thanks for having me.
Look, this is a tough seat here in North Carolina.
It always is.
We're grateful for those few points that you mentioned.
But look, it could slip away.
We have to run like we're behind.
All these races here in North Carolina are within the margin of error.
And so we can't take anything for granted.
I hope that your listeners would go to Tedbud.com, find me on social media, and I hope to earn their support.
But we've got to win this.
When you play those ads about Sherry Beasley, the truth about her record, it's hard to listen to.
When you look at some of the things she's done, which are anti-law enforcement, she's defended cop killers.
She's vacated death sentences for murders.
She's thrown out indictments for sex offenders, and that's just scratching the surface, Sean.
She's bad news for North Carolina, and we just have to get the message out.
And your listeners can help us do that at TedBudd.com.
You know, as I look at her record, she, like many senatorial candidates around the country that are Democrats, takes on the most radical positions of this new Green Deal Democratic Socialist Party.
She fits right in.
Well, look, she's been on the bench before.
She is permittable.
She lost by 401 votes back in 2020.
But there were law enforcement groups that at one point, when they heard her positions, they said, oh, yeah, we could probably support you.
But then when they saw who she was, now those groups for you, the U.S. Senate race, they are endorsing me.
The Police Benevolent Association, the Fraternal Order of Police, the North Carolina Troopers Association, all of them had once supported her, and now they're endorsing me.
And I'll add another group in there that never endorsed her, but they looked at her, and then he looked at me, and they supported me, and that's the Border Patrol Association, because they know that I'm for strong Border Patrol, and I'm against 87,000 IRS agents, and I'd rather have 87,000 more border agents.
Well, one of the reasons I think law enforcement has moved towards you very quickly, you have the family of a slain North Carolina police officer.
They've been blasting your opponent 25 years after she helped defend two cop-killing brothers, saying that the Democratic Senate Hopeful is for the criminals, not for law enforcement.
And in 1998, served as one of the key defense attorneys in this high-profile case, Tillman and Kevin Golfin, brothers who one year before the trial killed two North Carolina police officers during a traffic stop.
And that came after they robbed a loan agency at gunpoint.
Now the brother of one of the slain officers is out there sounding the alarm and telling everybody this is not the person you want.
He says, quote, it makes me sick.
Every time I look at her because I know she's not the right person for the job.
So like most Democrats now, she's coddling criminals.
My heart breaks for that family.
I'm grateful for their support.
It's a very painful subject to even talk about.
But look, she has defended cop killers, and she runs away from her record, Sean, and me sitting in the U.S. Congress right now.
I mean, I'm on the Financial Services Committee.
I look behind me, and there's Paxine Waters, who got the gavel for that committee from Nancy Pelissi.
I see three out of four of the squad, including AOC there physically and literally and ideologically on my left.
But I'm running towards my record, and they are running away from their record, including Sherry Beasley, who doesn't want to talk about defending cop killers and throwing out indictments for sex offenders.
It's bad news.
But your supporters, they go to Tedbud.com.
They can find out more.
They can support me and help us get our message out because it is within the statistical margin of error, Sean.
In every single race, and by the way, I know a guy, Jim O'Neal, who was running for AG of the state last year.
I think in 2020, the last election, I think he lost by like 12,000 votes.
So this is a very, very tight state for anybody.
And the people in North Carolina need to pay very close attention to what's going on there.
This race means a lot.
This is a must-hold seat as you would be holding that seat for the Republicans.
And then hopefully we have some pickup opportunities.
And I think we do, and I think we will.
You know, I'm looking at, generally speaking, every single race around the country is the same.
You have tens of millions of dollars being dumped on Republican candidates.
Nobody knows quite where that money is coming from.
It's not coming from North Carolina.
That much I could tell the people of North Carolina.
So they're dumping these ads.
They're full of lies and smears.
Then the candidates themselves are not answering questions from the media.
They're hiding in the basement like Joe Biden did in 2020.
Then they're refusing to debate.
Is she willing to debate you?
We have a debate tomorrow night at 8 p.m. here in North Carolina.
And I really look forward to that because, Sean, the issues are on my side.
And I look forward to telling the rest of the North Carolinians that are watching that she is a rubber stamp for Joe Biden's policies.
And the failed policies that have led us to being weak on the international stage, including what we broke, it broke our heart last year when we lost 13 Marines, many of those from here in North Carolina.
And the problems with Putin, China being aggressive, Iran saber-rattling, North Korea testing missiles again.
All that stuff starts with a weak Joe Biden on the international stage, and her policies would be the ones that would continue that, including what would lead us to 40-year continued inflation, which people are having to choose between a month ago back to school clothing, whether they're putting gas in their car or groceries on their table.
John, we know how to fix this, but her policies would double down on what Joe Biden has done that's failed our country in the past two years.
I hope people are paying attention.
Ted Budd, we'll have you back on radio and TV.
This is a must-win hold for the Republicans if they want any shot at holding on to the Senate and getting a majority.
We wish you the best in the campaign.
Thank you for being with us.
God bless, Sean.
Thank you.
All right, 800-941, Sean, if you want to be a part of the program.
Listen, I want to remind you, these are tough economic times.
Credit card balances are surging, and people are putting bare necessities on their credit cards.
Some people paying 21% interest.
That's a lot of money through no fault of their own as rates now continue to climb.
Look, I want you to take advantage of a free mortgage review, financial overview review, and a debt consolidation review from our friends at AmericanFinancing.net.
They will look at your entire financial picture for free, no obligation, no pressure.
And that's from your maybe you can combine your debt with your mortgage and save a lot of money.
All you have to do is tell them your financial situation.
They'll go over all of it with you and try and come up with ways that you can pay less and save money.
I mean, it's really that simple.
No obligation, absolutely free.
Give them a call.
Their experts are standing by now.
866-615-9200, 866-615-9200.
On the web, it's AmericanFinancing.net.
American Financing, NMLS, 1-82-334-NMLS ConsumerAccess.org.
Cornpop.
Stand up, Chuck, and dog-face pony soldier.
That's just a few of the fighter moments you recall when you walk down Joe's memory lane.
You can't make this up.
And with Biden in office, you don't have to.
This is the Sean Hannity Show.
All right, let's get to our busy phones.
Mike is in Illinois.
Mike, you're on the Sean Hannity show.
How are you?
Hi, I'm great.
First-time caller, Sean, and I appreciate you letting me share my thoughts today.
Well, I appreciate you calling.
What's on your mind?
Well, we got a swamp in Illinois, too, by the way.
And that's where I'm from.
We have 102 counties in this state.
Only two of them, two of them, is all you would need to get elected.
And I find that a little bizarre, but then I look around the landscape.
I think George has hit it that way as well.
But that's not really why I called.
I just wanted to bring that little fact out that's interesting.
So what's on your mind?
If we do take the house, sir, will we be able to investigate ourselves, Comey, Strzok, Rosenstein, Brandon, all the rest of them?
Even if, because I got a feeling.
The answer on that is yes, but here's the problem.
Statute of limitations has run out on a lot of this and is running out on a lot of this.
And that's the shame of all of it because we know what happened was beyond nefarious.
We know Hillary Clinton, you know, everyone's so outraged over Donald Trump.
He may have had top secret classified materials at Mar-a-Lago.
We had to go in and rate it.
Well, Hillary Clinton had the same thing.
She had top secret classified information on her servers, and James Comey said so and said so repeatedly.
And then we have 33,000 missing emails because she destroyed the servers and the hard drives with Bleach Pit and destroyed devices with hammers and removed SIM cards.
That would be called where I grew up obstruction.
And yet not a thing happened.
And then, of course, she pays for a dirty Russian misinformation dossier full of lies.
And even though the FBI is warned about it, they use it anyway.
They get a Pfizer warrant.
They ruin Carter Page's life.
They then spy on a presidential candidate, Donald Trump, and then a president, Donald Trump, even after the sub-source, the main source for Christopher Steele, this guy on trial now, Danchenko, told them that none of what Christopher Steele wrote in that dossier was true.
It was all bar talk.
And then the FBI took it a step further.
They hired the guy and put him on their payroll.
And no, they haven't held these people accountable.
And they've gotten very arrogant over it very quickly because they know they've gotten away with it.
And I've told everybody if they get away with it, which they now have, that the net result will be that they will be emboldened to do even more.
And now we have all these whistleblowers within the FBI that are coming out.
There's going to be 20 or 30 of them telling us how the FBI has been politicized, how they are purging conservatives out of the upper ranks, and how the DOJ has been weaponized against conservatives.
So that is a very, very dangerous thing for any country to be experiencing.
Very dangerous.
And Merrick Garland's answer to all of it is putting out a memorandum to all people in the FBI and the DOJ not to talk to politicians, which, by the way, contradicts whistleblower laws, which we should be encouraging so that the FBI once again would become the premier law enforcement agency in the entire world.
Doesn't look like that's going to happen anytime soon.
Anyway, appreciate the call.
800-941-Sean, our number, if you want to be a part of the program.
All right, 25 to the top of the hour, toll-free, 800-941-Sean, you want to be a part of the program.
We'll get to your calls in a few minutes here.
First, we've got to give a shout out, a big congratulations to my friend, our colleague, and that is Ainsley Earhart.
Her brand new children's book, I'm So Glad You Were Born, Celebrating Who You Are, has debuted number one on the New York Times list all last week and going up against the biggest authors, you know, the Stephen Kings and the Nicholas Sparks and even our friend Bill O'Reilly and Joe Concha, other friends.
For most of the week was the number one selling book in all categories on Amazon.com, which is an amazing accomplishment.
Ainsley's back with us now, of course, the co-host of the number one cable morning show, Foxham Friends.
Congratulations to you.
And I talked to you last week.
I said, are you surprised that you're number one in every category?
And you were a little shocked.
Yes, I was.
Well, first, thank you so much, Sean, for having me on and for congratulating me.
And thank you to all of your listeners who have supported me and have supported my career and bought this book for their children or their grandchildren or nieces or nephews or just their classroom.
I'm really touched and just blown away.
And I am shocked because I'm this girl from South Carolina that had big dreams and prayed and prayed that God would allow them to come true because I feel like he gave me the desires of my heart.
And I made it to New York City and work at the national level and my dream job, get to wake up America every morning.
And I just am so grateful.
And then God has placed these opportunities for children's books in my hands.
And this one I really did to honor my mom, who's very sick.
She had a stroke and she taught school for 33 years and she doesn't have a voice anymore.
And so she's gone through a lot, kidney failure.
She's on dialysis three times a week and just doesn't have the life that she used to have.
So she doesn't have a voice, but this is something that she said to me growing up on my birthday.
I'm so glad you were born.
And it made me feel loved and extra special.
And it's something in addition to just saying happy birthday.
And so I wanted to share her voice with other children around the world.
And she loved teaching school, fours and five-year-olds for 33 years.
And so she would just, she is delighted that this message is going to be passed on for generations in years to come, even after she takes her last breath.
And so her, it's just kind of touch and go with my mom right now, which is heartbreaking because she's so beautiful and so sweet and a wonderful person.
But just to know that this is our final gift to her is something that's really special to me and to my family.
So I just thank you for helping me promote it.
And it's just, I think it's a really positive message.
And this day and age, when so much is going on in politics and in the world and people getting away from God, this is just a reminder to our children that God did make them perfectly.
And he will give them the desires of their heart just like he did me.
And he created me with this dream to live in New York and this dream to be on television and present the news to everyone.
I don't know why God picked New York.
Why did God pick New York?
I'm just going to say that.
There's a lot of better places than New York.
I know, but I'm called here.
This is just where God has my family.
And so all your prayers would be appreciated just to surround my daughter and protect my daughter with God's angels every single day.
But this is where we're called, and she's in a great Christian school.
And we just, we live in this little world, and we feel pretty safe.
I do watch my back a lot and don't take the subway anymore, but she's in a great, great, safe environment, and I've made sure of that.
So, you know, it's just, it's the city that we love.
I don't know what the future looks like, but this is where we're supposed to be right now, and that's why we're here.
You know, it is an amazing thing because there's so much negativity going on right now.
I can't recall in all the years I've been doing this.
And, you know, today is October 6th.
And it was, I think it was October 6th, 1996, when I started and the Fox News channel went on the air.
What's that by my math?
I completed, what, 26 years, Linda?
I'll let you do the math.
So I'm starting my 27th year at Fox, something thereabouts.
I don't think you were born when I started radio, but I think about all of the negativity that's in the world.
We're so divided right now.
And this is such a positive message.
And then you pause for a second.
I talk often about the majesty of God.
And you look at the stars and the planets and the sun and the sky and gravity and the planet world.
And I'm sorry, the animal world and the animal kingdom and human beings.
And every human being has their own unique fingerprint.
You know, the Bible will say the hairs on your head are counted.
I would delineate in my head white hair versus dark hair.
But you think of universes within universes within universes, but everybody has that unique fingerprint.
And it's kind of a special thing that you say, so glad that you're born.
In other words, yeah, you're special.
And the Bible even addresses that issue when Jesus talks about, you know, the sparrows, you know, they fly around and they're fully clothed and the lilies in the field.
And why take thought about tomorrow?
You know, if God takes care of the least of them, you're far more valuable.
And I think sometimes many people lose perspective of the real value they have.
No, I completely agree with that.
And even in my lowest days, the lowest times in my life, he always surprised, not surprises me.
I'm not surprised anymore because I know how God works and has worked in my life for 40 plus years.
He always redeems the bad situations in my life and makes the situation, if I'm patient and I give it to him and I pray to him, he always redeems those situations.
So there have been moments, you know, there was a time when I was on overnights for seven years and was filling in on the weekend show all the time.
And I did it for 10 months straight and I didn't end up getting that job.
And I was crushed, crushed.
You would have thought that was the end of my world.
And then years later, I got Fox and Friends first.
We launched that show.
Then when Elizabeth Hasselbach left, I was placed in her role on Fox and Friends.
So I ended up Monday through Friday getting the morning show Monday through Friday.
I didn't understand it then, but I knew if I put my trust in God that he would change that situation.
It was just in his timing.
It wasn't my timing.
And countless things.
You know, I went through a divorce, and that was the most excruciating time in my life.
And just kept begging for Jesus to come back.
And, you know, I wouldn't have done anything to harm myself, but I just wanted Jesus to come back and take me to a place where there was no pain and no pain.
But doesn't everybody have these issues in their family and their lives?
Absolutely, yes.
But the beauty of it is we can go to a place in eternity where there's no pain, no suffering, no crime, no tears, no debt, no divorce, no miscarriages, no failures.
Everything is perfect in heaven according to the Bible, and I believe it.
And so this can't be it.
We have wonderful days.
The majority of my life has been amazing, and I am so blessed, blessed beyond measure, and so thankful.
But when you're in the hard times, you ask yourself, is this it?
God, you know, this can't be it.
And then you're reminded of what eternity is and why we have to suffer on this earth.
And we studied Paul in our Bible study and the suffering he went through.
And he took great pleasure in the suffering when he was in prison because he felt like he was closest to Christ because he could relate to Christ's suffering in the garden and Christ's suffering on the cross.
And so he took great pleasure in that.
And I love that attitude that even in the hard times, just know God is shaping you and creating you and grooming you to be something better and to appreciate him and to turn to him.
There was a lady that I knew who had cancer and she didn't know which doctor to go with because her life was on the line.
And she prayed and prayed and prayed about it.
And she felt like God gave her the answer at the very last minute.
And she said, why the last minute, God?
And she said, it was revealed to me that God wanted to wait until the very end to where I needed to choose my doctor and told me which one to choose, but kept me on my knees throughout the whole time.
And that's why it was at the very end that he gave me the answer because he wanted me on my knees the entire time, which I thought was a really good image of just giving your life to Christ.
And when you do that, you're not in charge.
You give, you know, Carrie Underwood sings, Jesus take the wheel.
You give him the wheel.
You just sit in the back seat, look out the window, you know, enjoy the ride.
My problem is, is I like to drive too much.
I get in the way.
Me too.
By the way, if you want to get an autograph copy for your kids or for maybe your grandkids, they have a special website set up, AinsleyBook.com, Amazon.com, bookstores all across the country.
When you get word that your book debuts at number one, that's a pretty cool feeling.
I've had it happen to me.
Yeah, you've had it happen a lot.
You sell so many books.
And by the way, congratulations on your anniversary.
What would we do without you?
I mean, you're saving this country and we all love you and adore you.
Wait a minute.
If you did a follow-up book, I wish Hannity wasn't born.
I bet that would be a bigger bestseller.
No, you have been such a good thing.
Yeah, there are a lot of people that hate me.
That's true.
No, well, you know what?
You can't focus on that because you're a really good person.
And if they sat down at the dinner table with you and had a beer with you, they would love you.
They just don't know you, Sean.
But this book is just celebrating our children and letting them know it's happy.
And you always say to me, I always want my house to be joyful and at peace and no yelling.
We do discipline, but we do it calmly and time out.
But we have dance parties in the house, and the book has pictures of dance parties and talks about the dance parties we have in the kitchen and in the den.
And the illustrations are beautiful.
Hayden, my daughter, picked out the illustrator for this book, and she has children.
And there's one picture where there's a fence in the backyard, and her kids are painting the fence, or the kids in the book are.
And she told me that she allows her kids to do that.
So I thought that was a lot of fun.
Hayden was asking me.
That's pretty risky for a parent to do that.
I know, I know.
And I imagine.
Yeah, could you imagine what that fence could look like?
All right, so I need to enlist your help in something.
So Linda has found a real great church that she loves.
She won't let me interview her pastor.
She won't let me give him the information that she's a great singer and she should be singing in the band at her church.
And she's hiding this gift that she has.
And I think you might be the one, you know, considering she's your BFF, that you might be the one to convince her to let me talk to her pastor.
And I'll even vouch for her that she won't drop any F-bombs in the songs that she's singing when she's in church, which has done what she does regularly, and that she would be an amazing singer of contemporary Christian music.
Absolutely.
Linda, you want to weigh in?
I apologize.
My mic is not working.
No, your mic's working.
We hear you fine.
It's got a weird sound on it.
It sounds good to us.
Linda, why wouldn't you do it?
God you're not.
She's ducky.
What a beautiful way for you to give back.
Congratulations on your book.
I think it's wonderful.
I'm not interested in singing at Chinese.
We're not talking about her book.
We're talking about you for this second.
You know, I'm not interested in singing at church.
I really like being just at church and just being a part of it and not being in the band or anything.
We have an awesome, he's our, he's actually our youth pastor and him and his wife, they lead the church band and they're fantastic.
And I just, I really enjoy it.
I love watching it and singing along with everybody.
You would never even consider trying it once.
Oh, God, no.
No, no, no.
Really?
I'm good.
Let them do Waymaker.
I wouldn't do that if they had the gift, though.
I mean, I just feel like, I don't know.
It's just not my place.
You know, I talk a lot.
I'm loud a lot.
It's the one place I'm not.
I'm just saying about it.
I understand that.
Well, listen, if God's not putting it on your heart to approach your pastor about it, then maybe there's your answer.
Yeah, no, the only thing he's putting on my heart is stop cursing in church.
And I'm doing my best at that.
I'm working to stop cursing in church.
You curse in church?
Listen, you know what?
Sometimes fornication under Command of the King comes out when you least expect it.
Man, God wills.
Who am I to argue?
You know, we have to Ainsley dump Linda more than the callers in terms of language that's used on the show.
Well, I'm angry.
The world is upside down.
You know, I guess I can't help it.
I'm sure the audience knows this.
I'm sure y'all talk about this all the time.
But Linda is so much fun, y'all.
And when we all get together as a group, we're like, we've got to call Linda.
Get Linda here.
We've got to get Linda at this dinner because she's so entertaining.
And everyone is bitches.
We all just laugh the whole time.
Well, the feeling is mutual.
We have a really nice crew.
But more importantly, everybody should go to AinsleyBook.com and get their signed copy.
It really is a beautiful story.
Thank you.
Well, you know what?
