This is an iHeart Podcast.
Coming up next, our final news roundup and information overload hour.
News Roundup Information Overload Hour, 800 941 Sean, our number, if you want to be a part of the program.
I want you to bring to your attention a story, and I think it should be a big issue in both the gubernatorial and the uh senatorial racism in the great state or commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
There is a children's hospital of pen of Philly, uh known as CHOP.
It's the gender and sexuality development clinic, and it hosts training for teachers for administrators that promote uh hiding students' gender identity for their kids, infusing gender ideology into school curriculums, according to emails now and video obtained by parents defending education.
Apparently, the clinic now, they're alleging has uh completed 33 trainings in 15 schools, reaching more than 1,500 educators.
Now the CHOPS Gender and Sexuality Development Clinic is continuing to influence other school districts in Pennsylvania.
Uh and we have with us is the director of the outreach for parents defending education, uh Erica Sanzi is with us uh to talk about what's going on here.
I had not heard about this till I I earlier today.
I don't know a lot about it.
Uh my understanding was is that the children's hospital of Philly had a good reputation as far as I had known.
Thanks for having me.
Um yeah, I think that's something that's been really shocking to a lot of us is that in recent years um children's hospitals around the country have added on these gender clinics.
They go by different names.
This one's a gender and sexuality development clinic.
Other hospitals have a similar name, but not exact.
And what we are seeing now is that the hospitals are being used to come into schools and offer training to teachers and staff.
We're not sure yet how widespread this is, but Philadelphia certainly is not the only children's hospital where this is happening, and it's it's alarming just on the well let me let me backtrack a second here, because you're the one that came out with this information that you've you you have been able to confirm that this clinic has already completed 33 trainings, 15 schools reaching more than 1,500 educators.
How were you able to confirm that?
Well, because we do public records requests and we also do a lot of digging online.
And so, as you may have been following, as children's hospitals are now um, you know, sort of being outed to the public for what they're doing with minors, we see them feverishly scrubbing their websites from their own materials, right?
So Boston Children's Hospital um deleted 40 videos off of its website once more people in the public discovered them.
So we're just again looking at what materials they have on their own websites.
Sometimes we find them on the school district websites as well, and then in some cases, because the school districts are paying for these services, and I actually do not know if that's the case in Philadelphia, so I can't confirm that that is, but in some cases it shows up in budget documents because the gender clinics at the hospitals are being paid by the school districts for these trainings.
All right.
So now how do you know where the money's coming from and where and and how widespread is this, do you believe around the country?
And do you have any recordings that back up what your claims are?
Well, we we have yes.
Um and again, Philadelphia is just one of the first ones that we've published, but it appears to be, and again, like we're just beginning to s to look at this, as are so many other media outlets, but this does appear to be a national trend.
Um I don't know if you saw the data that came out this week, but just in one year, the diagnoses of gender dysphoria in minors has doubled.
And um gender clinics are increasingly again, they're very connected to local departments of health and very connected to schools, and it appears that in one way to sort of circumvent families is to be having the hospitals come directly in and do the trainings with The teachers without the knowledge of the families.
And do you think this is happening in hospitals all across the country?
Um, unfortunately, I do think that we're gonna find that this is common practice.
Um I know for example, we just published today documents from the children's hospital out in Chicago.
Very, very similar thing.
They went into a district outside of Chicago, they went to every single school in the district, and that district only goes up to eighth grade.
So we're talking about young students, and they trained um staff on the same things that are in the Philadelphia story, right?
So it's it's helping the school establish their policies and a trans inclusive policy, which I think many of us out of compassion and basic decency would be on board with until we find out what those policies mean, right?
So what these policies look like in schools across the country is that a child can change the way that they identify their name, their pronouns, and even have a support plan drafted by the school where almost every adult in the school knows that the child is going by a different name,
using a different restroom, using a different locker room, being allowed to sleep on overnight field trips based on their gender identity, and and that the parents have no right to know this, that the staff is told they are forbidden from telling parents if that's what the student wishes.
You can find us for yourself.
A lot of this uh is on their own website, chope eat.edu, and and we'll continue to follow the story as warranted.
Uh it's a little it's a little chilling.
It's like, you know, teachers in school feel they have the right to tell your kids about gender identity and say, oh, don't worry about telling mommy or daddy.
Uh, or bringing it up you talk about age inappropriateness K through third grade.
If you say you don't want those topics taught, you think it's age inappropriate, oh, forget it.
You're gonna be investigated as a domestic terrorist.
Let's get to our phones as we say hi to Lee on Arizona Sean Hannity show.
Big debate last night.
How are you?
I'm doing good, Sean.
Good uh afternoon.
Uh what I wanted to say firstly was uh such a lovely segment you had with Ainsley, and I have her uh great book.
I did purchase that.
Uh secondly, what I w secondly, Sean, what I wanted to speak about is um you mentioned about um the high gas cost, and yes, food cost, and they're in these hard financial times that so many people are facing.
Um the eighty-seven thousand IRS agents that the Biden administration is going to hire.
Instead of doing that, how about this, Sean?
Get the IRS workers back in the office so they can get back to work since the president said that the pandemic was over and processed people's tax returns.
How about that?
My daughter, she still hasn't gotten her tax return money back yet, and they keep saying three more months, three more months, three more months.
This is ridiculous.
And then, Sean, I just heard that people were asking them about when are we going to get our tax returns back?
You know, I'll tell you right now, and the Republicans were actually smart to do this.
They said, okay, well, if we're gonna hire all these IRS agents, we're not gonna harass the working men and women across the country.
I could tell you from my own experience if as I I didn't get audited when I wasn't making any money in my life.
They look they left me alone because you can't get blood from a stone.
And it's almost without fail, and though I think some of this is political, I do, but it doesn't matter.
You know, you I I feel 87,000 agents will mean that the rest of the country's gonna get the Hannity treatment.
And that is that they they pull your uh on an annual basis, they pull the tax return.
I have not one, I have two accounting firms that independently do my taxes, then I have a law firm that goes over their work and their conclusions, and all three groups have to agree before we we file the taxes.
It's insane.
And I will tell you, it is nothing but you know, for everybody, harassment.
But this is big government.
This is this is the leftist agenda.
You know, they feel like oh, people aren't paying their fair share.
You are five times more likely to get audited if you make under 25,000 dollars a year.
And the reason is is they think, oh, well, you're probably doing work on the side off the books, and and you really have a lot more money.
And then they look at how much your apartment is and how much your cell phone bill is and the neighborhood you live in, et cetera, et cetera.
It's so obnoxious.
It's so, you know, it's so big brothery and so heavy-handed at times.
You make an honest mistake on your taxes, and and boy, you know, here our penalties and interest.
I know so many people that have suffered and and and it it stresses everybody out.
People, you know, for them, it's it's a big deal.
For me, it's an average day.
For people, it's a big deal when they they just keep coming after you, coming after you, coming after you.
They'll take the gold out of your teeth if you drop dead.
Anyway, Lee, thank you.
All right, let's get back to our busy phones.
Uh, let's stay in Arizona.
Peter's next.
Peter, you're on the Sean Hannity show.
Hi.
Hey, Sean, thank you so much for all your hard work and effectiveness.
Uh my phones will talk about how good you are, so we appreciate you.
That's why we know that.
Oh, thank you.
Um, it's great stuff.
I wanted to let you know, um, I'm very concerned about the priorities of the Democratic Party uh with this race going on between Blake Masters and Mark Kelly and a whole bunch of other things.
Social Security right now, according to their own Iowa court has a short little two point eight five trillion dollars left.
Supposed to run out in about like 13 years or something like that, less than that.
The Green New Deal, according to, you know, this former director of the uh CBO, he goes 93 trillion dollars.
That's 30 times more money than Democrats are focusing on versus the shrinking of three uh billion three trillion that's in uh Social Security.
So what does that really mean?
That means that when you vote, if you're a senior citizen, please hear this, okay?
Look, if you're a single citizen and you vote democratic, you have a thirty times greater priority toward the green rebuilding to do to Social Security, according to that projection.
So I'm telling the seniors out there, please be very, very careful.
Do not vote Do not vote democratic because you're gonna push that agenda.
And this is the biggest concern I have.
We've got Blake Masters, we've got Kerry Lake, we've got guys like Elaine Payne, and these are different runs.
I really want to see that work.
So I'm feeling very, very strong about this.
I do want to get the message out.
Listen, let me tell you, all those races are winnable.
This is what everybody needs to understand.
You know, right now, Kerry Lake has uh a lead in the gubernatorial race.
Blake Masters has has made up tremendous ground, and I I want to see the next poll after last night's debate because I thought Blake Masters had a good debate last night.
So um, but it's really gonna take all of you.
I can tell you, I've watched this over the years.
Going into elections, polls show this Republican's gonna lose, that Republicans are gonna lose, this Republican's gonna lose, they're gonna get killed, they're gonna get destroyed, and they end up winning.
So you you it polls give us a snapshot.
Uh uh if you have a lot of polls and they're relatively consistent, then there's usually something to it.
However, it doesn't capture a wave.
And I think more conservatives, more people that I know than ever before, they're never gonna talk to a polster.
I've never got a call from a poster in all the years, you know, I've I've loved politics.
I'd love a call from a poster.
I'd take the time to talk to the pollster and give my opinions and answer questions and and and love to participate, as long as it was a legitimate poll.
So, you know, at the end of the day, the only poll that's gonna matter is on election day.
And if you want to change things and you don't like the direction the country's headed in, you have all the power.
This is why I keep saying it's an inflection point, a tipping point.
It's an all hands-on-deck moment for the country.
Thirty-two days.
I hope you feel the urgency I feel, because it's never gotten this bad this fast with so many Americans suffering.
70% of the country now is living paycheck to paycheck, and among the 70%, there are people that can't even make ends meet, the poor, the middle class, people on fixed incomes.
Our own military is getting lectured and advice on how to get onto supplemental assistance and food stamps.
This is a national embarrassment.
Being rejected by OPEC a dozen times is embarrassing.
Sucking up to two bit murdering thug dictators like Maduro and an MBS.
It's embarrassing, you know, to be.
Oh, we're going to get these pills in case of Vladimir Axe, you know, Biden warning of.
of Armageddon and so his answer is instead of well I think we'll just go out and and we'll just order these what are those pills Linda what do you call those pills?
900 and 290 million dollars worth of pool pills in preparation for nuclear emergency that's your plan but just when you're gonna accept the fact that it might be inevitable and instead of getting on the a phone and and kicking this guy's ass and telling him that Moscow is going to be annihilated if you ever do this?
All right 25 to the top of the hour.
We'll get to your phone calls uh in just a minute here.
You know we have our friends Tyler Merritt and he's the founder CEO of nine line apparel and he's gonna join us in a second and he and his company they've been working to donate organize and put a post on Facebook in which apparently they took down in silence because they deemed it political.
By the way, they're doing this and donating a hundred percent of all profits uh a Florida strong t-shirt design and it's all going to be donated to relief and recovery efforts for our fellow Americans that are suffering in Florida and to help people rebuild their lives after this natural disaster it's what a hundred billion dollars estimated in damages and and people just need help.
It's that simple.
Anyway, so they keep running keep trying to put this uh post this at Facebook and and they're they're saying something that is not true, which is that it's overtly political and offensive and nothing could be further from the truth.
The ad was promoting Florida strong a design that they had to raise proceeds to help Floridians rebuild after the wreckage of Hurricane Ian.
There's no mention of Governor DeSantis no mention of Rick Scott or Marco Rubio or President Biden or any other politician.
Anyway Tyler is with us so they won't put your here you're giving a hundred percent of the the profits to charity and they won't let you put up a t-shirt for sale?
Yeah Sean we're we're down here in uh Fort Myers we're hanging out with the community cooperative and and trying to get generators and fuel and food and much needed uh funding uh out to this community and one thing we've done in the past with other natural disasters I know we we teamed up with you know our friend Charlie Daniels got rest of soul and we did tenante strong we never had any issues with Facebook.
But about a year ago, we got banned from Facebook.
And ever since then, it's got increasingly difficult to talk to a human.
And surprisingly, after Fox and friends ran a story yesterday, they contacted us and said, hey, this must be a misunderstanding.
They even sent a note to Fox and said, you know, this is the advertiser's fault.
They clicked a button that marked it as political.
So we silenced it because it's political.
Well, that's not true.
We actually took screenshots of the messages and showed that we did not click those buttons.
We were competent individuals.
But no one really wants to pay attention to the fact that Facebook's algorithm is censoring.
It seems to be censoring conservative voices, and it's getting increasingly more difficult.
And there's humans behind creating these algorithms at Facebook.
They do need to be held accountable.
They need to answer questions as to why a shirt that says Florida Strong that makes no mention of Florida Strong.
of any political pundit political organization just says we're gonna help the victims of hurricane uh why was it was restricted and then why you would go and and make a false assertion that that my advertising team doesn't know what they're doing uh when we do well it's unbelievable I guess the only thing we could do is we could put it up on Hannity.com I think it's already up there and and put it out on our social media so people can see it and if you're giving a hundred percent of the profits to the people in need in Florida um you know I
know you to be a person of character that money's going to the people of Florida um you know but this is now a big deal.
This you know who was it Ronald McDaniel the RNC they're going through the same thing where they their ads, their appeals for money are being suppressed.
And this is now a massive issue in this country because now you're talking about in kind donations to one party and censoring another party, and that's exactly what happened in 2020 with with zero experience Hunter in his laptop.
Absolutely.
And it is getting worse.
And I and I will challenge you, any marketers or individuals out there that that understand general marketing practices.
I can go on Facebook and I can target an audience that likes Starbucks.
But I can't target an audience that likes black rifle coffee.
And you know our friends at Black Rifle.
Uh they they might have a same similar opinion on on how they look at the world uh as you and I do, but I can't target their audience.
Facebook will not allow me to, but I can target Starbucks.
Now that's very interesting.
And you can go down the Rolodex of different conservative and liberal organizations, individuals that you can and can't target.
And it seems like there's many more banned conservative organizations, individuals, myself included.
Well, we appreciate all your work, all your efforts, all your generosity, and we want to support these efforts.
Anyway, we'll put it up on Hannity dot com.
Uh Tyler Merritt, founder, CEO of nine apparent nine line apparel and uh Florida strong t shirts and things you can buy, all the profits going to the people of Florida that are really struggling.
It's by the way, a really cool t-shirt.
Uh it's got Florida strong, it's got a a map of the state of Florida.
It looks awesome.
Looks great.
Well, Sean, I'm gonna have to send you, Linda, and the crew up there, a bunch of them.
We just brought a bunch down to the the first responders down in Florida.
You know, what what uh you know Governor DeSantis has done down there, you know, should be an example for what all governors should be able to do.
Uh and I'm we're just extremely proud and excited to be able to support Florida.
All right.
We always love having you, Tyler.
Thanks so much for being with us, my friend.
Thank you, Sean.
800-941 Sean, if you want to be a part of the program, gav uh let's say out of Brad in California, he's gotta love it out in California.
You have a guy out there, he thinks he's gonna be president.
And I'm even predicting he's very high odds Gavin is gonna be the Democratic nominee in 2024.
I'm sure that makes uh makes people in California very, very nervous.
Because what he hasn't done a good job there.
Well right, and I mean the best way to keep him from being president in 2024 is not let him be governor in 2022.
And we've got a real viable choice out here with Brian Daly running against him, and we need to get people out there to vote and get Brian's name out through whether it be on your show or Fox News, get him out there.
Brian's coming up in the polls, he's gained nine points in the last two weeks.
And he's got a real shot at this if we can get him out there.
But the thing I want to talk about is what a crook Newsom is.
And uh he has came out and called the oil companies out and the fuel industry out is is price gouging is the reason the price of fuel is high.
And I'm looking at things right now, and in California, we're paying a dollar thirty-two a gallon for tax in D on diesel and a seventy-five and a half cents on gas.
Nobody in the oil industry makes that kind of money ever.
So if there's price gouging going on in the state of California, it's doing being done by Newsom himself, which is typically him not to be able to look in the mirror and see the problem, because he runs from problems instead of addressing them.
And that's why we need a real leader like Brian Daly to g that's gonna go after the problems and address them.
Brian uh Gavin Newsom has fixed nothing since he's been governor.
The problems that existed are worse, and the problems that didn't exist are now problems.
And we need a leader, not a wimp.
And we need a leader that's gonna get out here and get things done.
Well, I can tell you, you know, that he's the worst governor in the country.
And in spite of his ambition and his desire, and throw go into the Oval Office and throwing his coat over his shoulder, acting like he owns the place when Joe is away.
Uh, I don't think that dream's gonna become a reality because if this country has a choice between Gavin Newsom and anybody else, uh nobody wants what he did to California to be done here.
Uh, he's the only governor, Lieutenant Governor Governor on their watch that lost population in the Golden State.
Prior to that, for 170 plus years, California, you know, opened their doors to new people every year.
No, now it's a net, you know, exodus.
People can't get the hell out of there fast enough.
Anyway, Brad, appreciate it, my friend.
Have a good weekend.
800 nine four one Sean, our number, Debbie Colorado, Sean Hannity Show.
What's up, Debbie?
How are you?
I'm well.
How are you?
I'm good.
Thanks for calling in.
Yeah.
I wanted to suggest that um instead of uh people voting based on personality, because it does seem like people will say, Oh, I like that guy or I like this gal, or whatever, that they think of voting as um interviewing and hiring their politicians for a for a job.
Um I've recently been hired at a local school district and I went to a lot of job interviews.
And so um just to think about um voting as that, as to think about voting as putting those people uh up for an interview and and you're hiring them to do a job.
And and I don't hear enough people saying that, enough people saying, Look, this is the job I'm I'm interviewing for, you know, this is the job I want.
You know, they're just like, I'm the best person, aren't I lovely, you know?
And I just don't want them to do that anymore.
I want them to go, look, this is who I am, and this is what I stand for, this is what I'm gonna do.
You need to hire me, you know.
Well, look, remember any elected official is supposed to be a public servant.
Now, what is a servant mean?
It means you serve the people.
You get the honor of being their servant.
But unfortunately, it usually goes the other way.
They they think in their minds that they're kings and they're queens and they are the ones that need, you know, people to bow and genuflect before them.
That's not what they're supposed to do.
And with you know, that's why I like when uh when when they came out with a commitments with America, first time Republicans have done a contract or a commitment like this in 28 years, I like it because that means you're telling people this is what I'm going to do, this is where I stand on the issues, and then we get to hold them accountable.
And if they do their job, well, we'll give them another opportunity, hopefully with a Republican president and get these things signed into law.
And if they don't do it, you fire them and you get somebody else.
I'm j I I'm I have no i it's to me Republican Democrat is meaningless.
I'm looking for conservatives that that run on principles that work, they're common sense, and they're not that complicated.
And then I want them to fight to get the job done.
That's it.
Pretty simple, and save the country and and get the government back on track.
Because it's a total Adam Schiff show right now for the country, and I'm sick and tired of all the negative news.
I'm tired of all the stupidity.
I'm tired of the embarrassment embarrassing moments of our president.
I'm tired of all of it.
Anyway, good call.
I appreciate it, Debbie.
Thank you.
It's not a popularity contest.
And yeah, I'm looking for people that want to serve their constituents.
Uh Washington State, we've been following the Senate race out there, and Patty Murray is in some trouble.
It's now within the margin of error for Tiffany Smiley out there, and uh we're hoping she can maybe pull off a miracle.
Uh Jim, Washington State, is it possible?
I think it's possible, and I hope she does.
Um, but I'd like to mention the border border crisis.
I think it's really our most important situation right now, both for what's happening and what it's gonna mean over the next decade or two.
We're clearly with that crisis, we're violating federal and state laws.
There's no doubt about it.
We've got a president that's encouraging this law violation, and a vice president, and we uh have a Senate and a house that are doing nothing about it.
They're just sitting and watching it, doing a little bit of complaining, but not much else.
They you gotta understand they don't have the power to stop it.
Governor Abbott, Governor DeSantis, Governor Ducey, all these, you know, border state governors, they don't have the power to stop it.
They're trying they've tried everything within their power, and it seems the most effective uh strategy that they adopted is to say, okay, we're not a sanctuary state, we're not a sanctuary city.
We we don't support law breaking.
Okay, we'll send you to where uh they do uh do want to write their own laws and not abide by the rule of law.
And that would be Mathis Vineyard, that would be outside of Kamala Harris's house, outside of the White House, uh New York City, Sanctuary State, send them to San Francisco, send them to Gavin, let him take care of them, let Nancy Pelosi take care of them, and and that seems to be the one thing that really got under their craw, doesn't it?
It does.
And that that's probably helpful, but it's not solving the problem.
And I don't know what the answer is, Sean.
But as citizens, if we saw somebody breaking into a bank, we would know what to do.
We would be able to stop it because there would be a law being broken.
And here we're breaking a different law.
And it seems like we're helpless.
And I think that we as citizens need to somehow, in some way, organized to do something about this.
This is drastically changing our country.
And it's gonna change our economics.
Listen, let me tell you what this is about.
Real simple, then I'm gonna have to run, unfortunately, on this Friday.
It's real simple.
It's about inflation at a 41-year high.
It's about wide open borders, the largest number of illegal immigrants in any one year, and we still have a quarter of the year left to go.
It's about the high cost of gasoline.
These are all preventable problems, all caused by radical democratic socialists and climate cultists.
Uh every single problem we have, it's about law and order and safety and security.
It's about the things that matter.
And you have the power in thirty-two days.
I can't say it's more I can't say it with more passion.
I can't say it strongly enough.
I can't urge you anymore.
If you don't see that this country is in deep trouble if we continue down this path, I don't know what I could do.
Everybody needs to do their part.
Commit to do your part.
That's what everyone has to do.
Anyway, appreciate the call, sir.
You have a great weekend.
Sean, you want to be a part of the program.
All right, that's gonna wrap things up for today.
