When I told people I was making a podcast about Benghazi, nine times out of ten, they called me a masochist, rolled their eyes, or just asked, why?
Benghazi, the truth became a web of lies.
From Prologue Projects and Pushkin Industries, this is Fiasco, Benghazi.
What difference at this point does it make?
Listen to Fiasco, Benghazi, on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Hour two Sean Hannity Show, toll-free.
It's 800-941-Sean.
You want to be a part of the program?
We have spoken at length about the insanity of allowing Supreme Court justices' homes to be doxed.
And not only are they doxing the Supreme Court justices, but they've given out the locations of where their kids go to school, where they go to church, when they go to church.
And, you know, of course, we had the disclosure of an assassination plot against Justice Kavanaugh.
And then, of course, Lee Zeldon, gubernatorial candidate, congressman, he was attacked.
And yet the Biden White House stands by this insanity.
Here's Corine Jean-Pierre grilled by Peter Ducey on the issue of protesting Supreme Court justices outside their home.
These protesters can go to a justice's house and they can go to a restaurant.
Where is it that you don't think it's appropriate for a group of protesters to go?
I just laid out, you asked me about intimidation.
We condemn intimidation.
We condemn any violence.
And we've been very clear.
That is, it is a clear, it is a clear definition of what violence is and what intimidation is.
Peaceful protest, people should be allowed to be able to do that.
In a restaurant.
If it's outside of a restaurant, if it's peaceful, for sure.
Really?
Peaceful protest.
Your question to me was intimidation.
Justice is because protesters do not agree with an opinion that they signed on to have no right to privacy is what you're saying.
So Peter, this is this is people have the right to, this is what a democracy is.
People have the right.
Of course people have a right to privacy, but people also have a right to be able to protest peacefully.
Peacefully.
It's the intimidation and the violence that we condemn.
Now, two people that have been through this enough themselves is Senator Ram Paul, Dr. Ram Paul from Kentucky, and his wife Kelly join us, by the way, an accomplished author in her own right to discuss the safety of government officials.
First of all, why don't you both, by the way, Kelly, welcome to the program.
I don't know if you remember we met once before.
Yes.
Good to talk to you, Sean.
It's great to have you.
As a matter of fact, we don't really need Rand in this interview, but it's good that he came anyway.
Teasy.
Just teasing.
But this is very, very real.
And these protests now are continuing around the homes of these justices.
And it's against the law.
They're not enforcing the law.
Both of you have experienced this.
I remember after the Republican National Convention, what happened in the streets, you had this instance, Senator, with this crazy neighbor of yours.
Why don't you talk about what happened in your life?
Kelly, from your perspective, why don't you tell us what you see?
Well, I think the reason I wrote the op-ed a couple weeks ago or last week is because I don't feel like the media is actually fomenting this.
I mean, I've had my husband be attacked by a vocal Trump hater on the internet, nearly killed, six broken ribs, had to have part of his lung removed.
And a couple weeks ago, our newspaper, the Courier Journal, actually printed an op-ed from a man who was justifying the attack on Rand, saying somehow he deserved it, that people don't like him, that his political opinions make him somehow worthy of human pain and suffering.
It was the most disgusting thing I've ever read, but I'm not surprised.
I mean, this is the same newspaper, the Courier Journal, that after Rand was assaulted and nearly killed, their headline was, Rand Paul, a less than perfect neighbor.
We had Casey Hunt on MSNBC that week as I watched my husband barely able to breathe, struggling for breath and in excruciating pain, Casey Hunt on MSNBC laughed, read the story, and said it was her favorite story of the week.
Laughing.
I mean, it really is mind-numbing that they think this.
You know, one of my biggest gripes, if you will, Senator, and I've been very outspoken in real time on this radio show, I was condemning what was going on on January 6th.
I went out of my way to condemn what happened that day on my TV show that night.
But I also condemn the 574 riots that we were told were mostly peaceful that resulted in dozens of dead Americans, thousands of injured cops pelted with bricks and rocks and bottles and Molotov cocktails, et cetera, and billions in property damage.
And there's no committee looking into that.
Now, Democrats were either A, silent, B, they just lied to us and said they were mostly peaceful when obviously they were not.
Or C, they went as far as Kamala Harris, you know, you know, shooting out a tweet with a bail fund link for the people responsible for the rioting.
And she never got held accountable.
And I'm just trying to, why does one riot take so much precedence over 574 other riots?
If rioting is wrong, it's wrong.
It's amazing to see how much the left-wing media has looked the other way.
So, for example, the writer that my wife was describing, who wrote that I deserve to be attacked and have six ribs broken, that writer has been arrested for assault.
He has a rap sheet and has been arrested for assault.
And he's allowed to write in a left-wing paper.
They accept him as a real writer to then say that I deserve to be assaulted.
This is from somebody who's been convicted of assault.
But it's not just him.
Also in the Courier Journal, they employed the young man who recently tried to assassinate a mayoral candidate.
So we had a young man show up.
He shot eight shots at the mayoral candidate from four feet away and missed, fortunately.
He spent two nights in jail.
Black Lives Matter bails him out, but he writes for the Courier General, and he's an attempted assassin.
And now they have a guy convicted of assault.
And this is the left wing who then says, oh, we need to lock up those people on January 6th who went inside the Capitol.
Meanwhile, they have an attempted assassin that worked for them and now a guy convicted of assault.
But I just draw the line.
I won't speak to them anymore if they're going to employ writers and allow people to use their pages to say, basically, I deserve to be assaulted because I aggressively interview Dr. Fauci or because of the way I speak or because I'm tenacious that somehow I deserve to be attacked.
That's not right.
It's never been right.
And they're going to have to pay a penalty by conservatives and decent people saying this is no longer a viable news outlet.
When you read something like this in the Courier Journal, Kelly, and you're sitting there and you wrote in great detail about the care you gave your husband as he was struggling to breathe and help him recover.
And these were serious, severe injuries.
And then you think about the night of the Republican National Convention, how you guys got out of there with your lives is frankly a miracle that night.
I mean, that was a pretty scary video.
We aired it.
And I just sit here and I wonder at what point now does this end?
Because, you know, I've been on the radio 35, six years, whatever it happens to be at this point, and TV 26 and a half years.
And I'm thinking, I would never give out the address of any Democratic politician.
I would never talk about the schools their kids go to or the churches that they go to.
I'd never give out the address of a liberal Supreme Court justice because it would lend itself, you know, to invite crazy people that might be prone to any type of behavior.
And I wouldn't want that on my conscience, to be very blunt with you.
Absolutely.
It doesn't seem like the Democrats and the left really agree with that, though.
I think they honestly believe that they are righteous, that somehow we are, because we disagree with them, we are deserving of assault, of violence.
I'll tell you, it's not just the media.
The national teacher of the year, a man named Rodney Robinson, actually tweeted out a couple years ago, Rand Paul's neighbor was a hero.
I'm calling on Mitch McConnell's neighbors to do the right thing and step up, literally fomenting violence, further violence against Mitch McConnell.
And guess what happened to him, Sean?
Nothing, nothing.
Jason Kamaras, the superintendent of the schools in Virginia, employing Rodney Robinson, did nothing.
When I raised a ruckus on Twitter, he gave sort of a bogus apology.
Oh, haha, I was just kidding, didn't mean it.
And what did Kamaras do?
He fell all over himself, thanking him for deigning to apologize.
This is the left.
We've had fake anthrax sent to our home, terrifying me.
I had to have, you know, people come out here with the FBI.
I had to take showers, you know, immediately trying to rinse everything off, terrified that somehow I've been exposed to anthrax.
We've had threats, death threats.
You know, the AP says when we were mobbed in D.C., oh, they said there's no evidence of that.
Sean, as you know, there's nine minutes of live stream video of us being spit on, screamed in our faces.
They continue to justify violence against conservatives.
For Rand's crime, they say Rand attacks Bauci.
What a joke.
Rand tries to seek the truth and ask respectful questions in a forum in a U.S. Senate, and yet the media will describe it as somehow he is attacking someone.
It's disgraceful.
Actually, that's called doing his job.
Look, I've had a lot of experiences myself over the years, even examples with me being with my kids.
It's never pleasant.
I had an assistant one time.
You mentioned the anthrax scare.
She opens up my mail and out comes a whole bunch of white powder.
And, you know, for the next eight hours of her life, she's isolated, alone, and can't even wear her own clothes and literally scared to death that she might be dying and calling her parents in tears.
I was here by myself when it happened to me.
I had actually carried a bunch of mail up against my chest.
And so when I called, you know, our office and they had the FBI in the phone, they said, take off all your clothes, throw them in the backyard.
You know, you're just living in fear.
People are absolutely terrorizing us.
Nothing has ever happened.
Rand has had someone call repeatedly and do death threats against his office.
They know who these people are, and they don't do anything to him.
And I have had the similar experience.
Quick break.
We'll come back.
More with Senator Ram Paul, his wife, Kelly Paul, talking about the violence and the double standard in terms of safety for our elected officials in this politically charged environment we live in.
I went with Senator Rand Paul and his wife, Kelly Paul.
She wrote an op-ed.
She's an accomplished author in her own right on the safety of government officials in this politically charged environment we live in.
Senator, in the case of Supreme Court justices, we have a law that says you cannot harass or intimidate justices or jurists or court officers at their residences or their places of work.
Why isn't that law being enforced by the Attorney General?
The Attorney General that thinks anybody involved with January 6th needs to be arrested and put away for a long period of time.
Why isn't he enforcing this law?
Well, I think the Attorney General is a political creature and he's not going to enforce the law.
But why isn't the local sheriff enforcing the law?
And I would go one step further.
Let's say you're just an ordinary citizen and you have some idiots outside your house with a bullhorn at two in the morning.
You know, when I was a kid and we were having a party at two in the morning, the police came.
It was called disorderly conduct, and we were told to quit it or we were going to go to jail and we would quit, you know, making so much noise.
And so the thing is, is we should enforce even the traditional laws for everybody.
But the justices do have a special law.
Yes, enforce it.
But even if you don't have a special law, any politician in the country, Republican or Democrat, you should not be allowed to stand outside their house at two in the morning.
That is not free speech.
That is not peaceful protest.
That's disorderly conduct.
Send a paddy wagon, stick them in the back, arrest them overnight.
They come back the next day, put them away longer, and every day they come back, put them away longer.
Let me ask you this.
Why don't we investigate the 574 riots in the summer of 2020 when thousands of injured cops, dozens of dead Americans, billions property damage?
We don't hear a peep about those.
Now, we have videotape evidence of people involved in real crimes.
There seems to be zero interest at the Department of Justice on those crimes that were committed.
Why is that?
Well, it's a double standard.
I mean, look at the two attorneys that were making and throwing Molotov cocktails at the police in New York City.
What did the Department of Justice do?
What did Merrick Garland do?
He downgraded their crimes to take away most of the penalty.
And yet there are people I know of a 26-year-old young man who wandered into the Capitol, never said a word to anybody, walked by the police.
Nobody told him to leave.
He was in the Capitol for a minute.
They arrested him at an airport, put him to the ground, and put him in handcuffs like he was a terrorist.
And he spent one minute and 15 seconds inside, never spoke to anyone, didn't touch anything, didn't fight with anybody.
And arguably, yes, he did the wrong thing.
He shouldn't have gone inside.
It's trespassing.
But they want to throw the book at these people and put them in jail.
Meanwhile, two hoodlum attorneys throw Molotov cocktails and get theirs downgraded.
Their penalty is downgraded.
Unbelievable.
Well, I mean, I'm glad both of you are safe.
I thought it was very bold of you, Kelly, to speak out the way you did in that op-ed.
It was a powerful op-ed, and I hope people pay attention.
And I hope they pay attention before something horrible happens.
I have this very bad feeling.
If this continues, it's not going to end well.
And somebody is going to get hurt or worse.
And I think if we don't take the actions that are necessary and hold these people accountable, you know, that that will be a contributing factor because we didn't nip it in the bud when we had an opportunity to.
Anyways, thank you.
Kelly Paul, thank you.
Senator Rampaul, thank you as always.
And keep on, Dr. Fauci.
I don't care what the Courier Journal says.
I think it's important that public officials answer hard questions.
And you hopefully will get to the bottom of it eventually.
800-941-SHAWN if you want to be a part of the program.
James, call me Maine Silent, and you might want to use it.
This is the Sean Hannity Show.
All right, 25 till the top of the hour, 800-941, Sean, you want to be a part of the program?
Nate Silver's 538 now saying that the odds are in a slight advantage for the Democrats to hold on to power in the Senate.
Is that true?
Now, I've been arguing that the Senate is going to be much, much harder for Republicans to take over, and there's going to be a lot of close races.
You got to hope that this really becomes a wave election year.
What impact the Dobbs decision might have on this election year, this midterm election year, I don't know.
I thought people would understand a lot more quickly that abortion is not outlawed in America.
Every state will decide what their laws are going to be.
They'll have very liberal states that will allow abortion up to the moment of birth.
And you'll have states that have perhaps that are very restrictive and don't maybe not allow abortion.
And you'll have states that allow abortion with restrictions, maybe a period of time like Mississippi up to 15 weeks.
But abortion will be legal.
And anybody that wants one, they'll be able to get one.
But it's still being politicized by so many.
All right, let's go to the great state of West Virginia.
Brian is standing by.
Brian, you're on the Sean Hannity show.
How are you?
I'm doing well, thank you.
Hey, one of the things from the buzz on the ground in this region here, and I'm involved in oil and gas and also have been involved in medical field too.
What is motivating Senator Manchin here is the fact that there's a big look to be able to create this center to be the new oil and gas mecca of the Northeast and cutting off all the oil going down to the South to Texas and Oklahoma.
Then also you have Heather Bresch, who's the president of the Milan, who then produces the EpiPen.
She is Senator Manchin's daughter.
During the Obama era, you had $500 EpiPens.
Trump clamped the pins.
Then O'Biden got in and raised the price again.
So there's a deal going on somewhere in the background to be able to get the push of this new refineries, cracker plants, and pipelines in this region.
And also, I think the Democrats only hope in 2024 to get cinema in Manchin and running for president and vice president there.
So I think he held out until President.
I don't think he had to go along with.
Listen, first of all, it's not the Inflation Reduction Act.
That's just a lie.
It increases inflation.
We cited congressional studies.
We cited the Wharton school study.
So it's not doing any of the things that they say that it's going to do.
It's not an inflation reduction act.
It's a massive tax increase.
In an election year, it will bring tax hikes to most Americans.
It breaks Joe Biden's promise that I'll never, we're not going to raise taxes on anybody that makes under $400,000 a year.
That's not true.
It's going to be $16.7 billion for people making under $200,000 a year.
And that's on top of the added cost of every worker and every family that they're paying because of Biden's inflation.
And we haven't even factored in yet the high cost of gas and what that is costing people.
So I'm not sure why he gave in.
And there's some talk that there might be a side deal with Manchin that would speed up projects at West Virginia gas.
To me, the price is too high.
And Manchin had it right in the past when he said you don't raise taxes in the middle of a recession.
So I'm disappointed.
I think that he capitulated.
I'm not sure what the rationale, the reason is.
I didn't think that he did a particularly good job on five Sunday shows this weekend explaining what the reason for this was.
But I do know that it's not going to end well for the economy or for the people of West Virginia because the one industry that's hit the hardest here happens to be the coal industry.
They're getting hammered in this.
And that's such a big part of the economy of West Virginia.
I'm rather shocked that he went along with it.
Yeah, well, he just needed to get what the original deal was.
Evidently, President Biden had backed out of the deal a little bit, so he's held off his vote until he was able to get what he's looking for.
Able to get what?
And at what price?
That, what, the raise taxes on the people of West Virginia and you hurt the coal industry?
Well, the coal industry is already down here.
You've got nearly 50% of West Virginia out of work because of this coal industry collapse.
Okay, so more to my point.
You're making my point for me.
There's no upside here.
If he really wanted to get a good deal for West Virginia, maybe I could understand, okay, if you allow, if you lift restrictions and regulation on the coal industry and natural gas industry in West Virginia and you allow us to build this mystery pipeline that they keep saying might be a side deal, then I might understand how he'd say, I'll let you go along with your stupid green energy ideas that are not going to be online for the next two decades.
I might understand that.
But on top of all of that, he's taxing the people of West Virginia on top of it.
So if he was looking for a deal, up till now, I had said and was saying that I gave him a lot of credit because he was standing with the people of West Virginia.
This deal is not standing with the people of West Virginia.
This is him standing with Chuck Schumer in the Washington sewer and the swamp to me.
Yes, yes.
And he could have very well have gotten a thumbs up from the DNC now to push him forward in 2024, too.
Yeah, you know, you can't get in the mind of some people.
I have no idea.
Anyway, appreciate the call, Brian.
All my best.
Ross is in North Carolina.
Ross, where in North Carolina are you?
I'm in Swansboro, Sean.
How are you doing?
Thanks for getting my call.
Good.
You know, where I've been, I have friends that live in Mountaintop.
You know what that is?
Mountaintop.
No, I don't.
Oh, okay.
No, no, I don't.
I'm not sorry.
No.
Rocky Mountain, no, but not Mountaintop.
But anyway, I'm a transplant from Long.
I'm a transplant from Long Island, so you can probably tell by the accent.
Yeah, well, I hope you didn't bring New York politics with you.
Absolutely not.
That's why I'm talking to you.
My concern is what happened yesterday without this Al-Qaeda leader being taken out, which is a good thing because finally something could die.
I went out of Zori, yeah.
Yeah, finally good on his watch.
But my concern is that now, did we stir up the old bee's nest and are we going to head to the southern border where it's wide open and million pluses have already passed?
And we know we opened the door for all these, you know, for another, you know, 2.0 9-11.
Well, we already know that people on the terrorist watch list have been confronted and caught at the border.
I think we're over 50 now that we know of.
How many actually got through without us knowing about them?
We don't know that number.
Are there terrorist cells in America?
I'd bet my last dollar there are numerous ones ready to be activated.
I don't think terrorism has ended or gone away.
I applaud that they took out Al-Zawahiri.
I'm happy about it.
But with all that said, it also reinforces the point that I was making is the way that Joe Biden pulled out.
I mean, it was so hasty and it was so disorganized and it was such a mess, abandoning Americans, people with green cards, our Afghan allies, leaving billions of military equipment.
Just an unmitigated disaster that they said was a great success.
But the worst part of it is now that the old Taliban's the new Taliban.
The same thing.
And so now it's a safe haven country for terrorists like Al-Zawahiri.
It's not an accident that he was out in broad daylight right in the middle of Afghanistan because he knew he had a safe harbor there.
And is sleepy Uncle Joe going to take time to put his sippy cup down and face this the way somebody like Trump would?
No.
Listen, Trump had a brilliant plan to get out.
Remember, the last 18 months that Donald Trump was president, the Taliban, they didn't lift a finger and kill a single American.
And I know the conversations because I've interviewed him about those conversations.
And when they were talking about a drawdown, an eventual pullout, withdrawal from Afghanistan, which he had promised as a candidate, he didn't want to be involved in these quagmires for decades and decades.
He told the head of the Taliban in no uncertain terms, before we even discuss a deal, if you don't follow every dotted I, cross T, every comma in any agreement we make, I will destroy you.
And you've seen what I, you saw what I did with the Caliphate.
You saw what I did with Soleimani.
You saw what I did with Baghdadi and associates.
You saw what I did with the Al-Qaeda leader in Yemen.
So that message was sent and not a single American, and by the way, they didn't move.
The interesting part of that conversation, the rest of the story, as Paul Harvey used to always say, was that he, in that conversation, pinpointed the exact location of the Taliban leader that he was talking to.
In other words, he was saying, I could take your ass out right now.
Right.
So don't mess with me.
Yeah, that was great.
By the way, that was brilliant to me.
I think it was absolutely brilliant.
That was.
So, you know, the fact that, okay, they got Al-Zawahiri, okay, I'll give our military, our intelligence.
Joe Biden made the call.
I'll even say finally there's one thing that he did that was right.
However, on the downside of that, now we know all of our greatest fears have been realized, that Afghanistan now is a safe harbor for terrorist organizations.
That's what we also discovered.
Anyway, Ross, appreciate it.
sharon is in texas next all right let's get back to our busy phones 800-941-Sean, our number.
Pennsylvania, Nancy, I'm sorry, Lynn is next.
How are you, Lynn?
Glad you called.
I'm fine.
Thank you for taking my call.
I just had a little comment about Nancy Pelosi.
The fact that she went to Taiwan isn't the issue.
Why are we broadcasting where she's going?
Why does the whole world need to know this?
If we wouldn't have done that, do you think that China would have been up in arms that she was going to be in Taiwan?
Yeah, probably.
I mean, I think China's definitely feeling their oats.
New Kingrich laid it out perfectly.
I mean, if the world united, and this is what General Milley was, he was in the region and he was meeting with his counterparts from 26 other countries.
And I give him a lot of credit.
And the purpose of that was how to isolate China if we need to.
And if all trading with China stopped, and if we stopped sending them our farm products and food products, et cetera, et cetera, they'd eventually go broke because their entire economy, sort of like Putin's economy is based on energy and energy alone.
And China's economy is based on exports.
And the minute the world unites against importing any Chinese products, they're screwed.
And eventually they would then have a revolution in their own country.
The way I would defeat Vladimir Putin is I would be energy dominant and I'd be providing all the energy needs of Western Europe.
That's what I would do.
And if I was going to deal with China and a hostile regime there, the single best thing I would do is form an alliance.
And when you see Chinese aggression, you instantly put into place practices to stop importing Chinese goods.
And if you do that, that's going to impact both their economies.
And the way to defeat them is defeat them financially.
Because when people can't eat and there's no money, at that point, their very regime is under threat.
And yet nobody seems to think of the simple solutions.
Those are the two big things I would do to take on Russia and China, two hostile regimes.
Anyway, appreciate the call.
