So Joe Biden in delusion land about the economy and about everything else.
We played this earlier in the week, but it's worth revisiting because there's an obvious disconnect between his world and God only knows which one he's living in on any given day or moment.
In any moment, but anyway, uh, versus what we are all suffering through because of his bad economic and energy policies.
I don't want to hear any more of these lies about reckless spending.
We're changing people's lives.
Put the this inflation in in context.
How bad is the surgeon prices?
I it's awful.
I mean, it's awful, and how people feel about it is even worse.
Inflation nation.
Americans are paying significantly more for basics such as food, fuel, and rents.
I basically just got struggled food and some popsicles.
The consumer price index rose 8.6% in May to a new 40-year high.
Brand new inflation numbers just in.
CNN Chief Business Correspondent Christine Romans here.
What do they say?
Cruel summer.
Record high gas prices at play in these numbers.
8.6% year-over-year inflation.
That is, again, the highest since 1981.
When you look at the core rate or the month-over-month, it's 1% there.
But 8.6%, that's really a tough number to swallow here.
It's gas prices, but the CPI, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, John, saying that it's broad-based.
I mean, you're talking about food, gas, shelter, food.
Some of these fuel categories are just almost off the charts here.
We're paying more for almost everything.
Food is up more than 10% from last year.
Housing, up five and a half percent.
You're paying 37% more for airfare.
And gasoline up a whopping 48.7%.
Triple A numbers show the national average at over five dollars per gallon.
Absolutely ridiculous.
Can't go anywhere anymore.
This is the worst consumer sentiment ever measured by the University of Michigan, going all the way back since 1952.
And in terms of why are consumers feeling this bad, well, it's pretty clear why they're feeling this bad, and that is because the consumer price index is the worst it's ever been in a midterm cycle since 74.
It's the worst it's been in any uh presidential cycle or midterm cycle since 1980.
So it's not much of a surprise.
You can see it, it's literally off the charts.
I don't want to hear any more of these lies about reckless spending.
We're changing people's lives.
All right, Senator Marsha Blackburn is with us uh from Tennessee.
Yeah, we're really changing people's lives.
I'm sure the great people of Tennessee are loving their five dollar plus a gallon gasoline and a 41 year high of inflation, uh, and paying more for everything they buy in every store they go to.
I I bet they're giddy about it in Tennessee.
They are so furious with this administration because every decision this administration makes makes their lives worse, whether it's the price of pump or the grocery store, the cost of clothing, the cost of uh camps for kids for the summer, the rent that they are paying.
Everything is going up, and they are tired of this, Sean.
They are looking for change, and you know, they're they're realizing that Joe Biden when he was out campaigning and not in the bunker.
He would talk about, oh, I'm going I'm a moderate Joe, you know me.
And they're realizing, no, we don't know you at all.
You are basically Bernie Sanders, and that is not what they voted for.
It's not what they want.
You know, I I I do think I've named a number of states.
I I think we're only at the beginning of really what is going to be some very troubling times for people.
Uh the economic news, everything I've been predicting is is coming true with with higher interest rates, new home starts are gonna basically come to a s uh screeching halt.
Uh sales of existing homes, that'll come to a screeching halt.
Home values will now begin to plummet.
The contracting business, contractors, well, they're their their business is going to be tougher than ever.
It's not going to be uh short lived, it's gonna be going on for many years.
Uh we now have the Atlanta Fed uh predicting zero percent growth for this quarter.
If we have negative growth, that means we are officially in a recession now.
People like Lawrence Summers said it was going to be next year.
But states like Tennessee and Florida and Texas and the Carolinas, that those are areas that I look at that won't be hit as severely.
I'm not saying that you're not going to be hit by high gas prices or inflation, uh, but because there are so many people migrating out of these states like New York and New Jersey and California and Illinois, two states like yours and and Florida and Texas, etc.
Um, I think I think home prices will for the most part they'll they'll decline far less than the rest of the country, if even at all, because demand will be high.
You're exactly right about that, and we are seeing people vote with their feet.
I run into people every single day who have relocated to Tennessee from California and Illinois and Connecticut and New York, New Jersey, and they did it because we have no state income tax.
We are considered one of the top two or three well managed states in this country.
We pay for things as we go, and people are looking for responsibility and government, low taxes, high quality of life, and a government believes they can trust the people and let the people make decisions.
You know, Sean, we opened up during the pandemic.
People went back to work and kids back to school, we played Friday night football, and we did just fine.
And of course, all the naysayers and the leftist were saying, Oh, you're going to pay for this, oh, you're not taking care of people.
We opened our state up and went back to work, and we have done great.
And more states should be doing that rather than living in fear.
And we have to realize the Democrats want people to live in fear.
They want permanent pandemic and lockdowns because people who are fearful are easier to control.
And the Democrats are looking for total control and power over our lives twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
Uh I think you're right on all fronts.
What do you see where do you see this ending?
Um, because you know, uh look, one of the things that I I said earlier uh this week on both radio and TV.
Over the many years that I've been doing this, uh, Senator, I've I've been doing radio now 35 years.
In nineteen ninety, I was right off the highway uh uh down from Nashville.
What is it?
I 65, if I remember correctly.
Yes, I 65, they're in Huntsville.
In Athens, right, to take it to Huntsville and Athens, Alabama, and I was doing a local radio show, and I would often go up to Nashville.
I always loved it up there, and over the course of what, 35 years in radio, 26 and a half years on Fox, uh I re I would read research about myself, and you know, there would be people I hate his politics, I he likes Donald Trump, blah, blah, blah.
That then that would never matter to me, because that's me being myself.
But if a bunch of people write, maybe 15, 20 people write the same comment about something I'm doing or saying on the air that they find offensive or stylistically don't like, I'll usually pay attention so I can get better.
Now the country's screaming for lower gas prices, and nobody in the Democratic Party is willing to even talk about going back to the policies that did give us two dollars and thirty-nine cents a gallon gasoline.
Uh that would help lower inflation, that will create jobs that's good for national security, that we don't have to do deals with the Saudis, OPEC and and Iran and Venezuela.
Why don't they reverse course?
Why why is that not even on the table for them?
They are refusing to reverse course.
They should be ashamed of the policies that they are letting stand because of the adverse impact it has on the lives of Americans every single day.
But you can't shame them because much of what they're doing is intentional so that they can get control.
They've long wanted, as you well know, Sean, they have long wanted to have five dollar a gallon gas because they think it will cause people to drive less and that people will go out and spend sixty thousand buc on an electric car and then laugh about the price of gas.
But that is not reality.
They won't secure the southern border, even though they are realizing the people that live on the southern border have turned against them because they want the border patrol agents to have what they need to patrol that border.
They cry defund the police and then really won't change their stance.
And now police are saying, look, every state's a border state, every town's a border stone.
We're covered up with drugs in our towns and neighborhoods and communities, and people are dying.
And Sean, here in Tennessee, we have had the issue with fentanyl laced gummies, and then Giles County, Tennessee, where between here and where you were at Huntsville, Athens, that area.
The sheriff came out and said, do not pick up dollar bills that you're finding laying around because they're tainted with fentanyl.
Now this is what this is the kind of fear that people are having to live with right now because of the Biden policies.
The inflation, the drugs, the open border, the crime in the communities.
They're worried about the national stage because our adversaries don't fear us.
You had China, a communist China, out here bullying last week because they're not afraid of Joe Biden.
They know that they've got c Hunter Biden who is compromised.
So it really determines how people choose to view this administration.
It is causing them to say, look, we have to get this all under control.
And that is why you're going to see a change in November in the House and the Senate.
I think it's going to be pretty dramatic.
Um as I look at the Senate races, we have a lot of bellwether states.
We have Missouri, we've got Arizona, Nevada, uh, we've got Wisconsin, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, uh, we've got uh Georgia, uh, we got the Carolinas, North and South Carolina.
What do you see happening?
I think what you're going to see is us in up with 53 or 54.
Don't forget about races like Tiffany Smiley out in Washington State, who, by the way, outraged uh Patty Murray last week.
Everybody is talking about Washington State being in play.
Yeah.
I actually think based on uh I don't know if you saw Congresswoman elect Flores.
She was on my TV show the other night.
Uh that was a yeah.
That was a democratic district for a hundred and fifty years, and she won it by eight points.
It was like a thirty-point swing from when Hillary Clinton won that won that district.
That's exactly right, Sean.
And people are tired of this.
The Democrats act like we all are too stupid to figure things out, and they act like they think they can get by with telling us what to see and say and hear and think and how to vote.
And people are saying, oh no, you don't, and by the way, you are not gonna teach CRT and the 1619 program to our kids.
We're not going to put up with this anymore.
And so they're standing up and they're showing up and speaking out and they're voting and getting their friends and neighbors to vote, and I think you are spot on, as you always are, and this is going to be a year like we have hardly seen, where people confront these out of control leftist politicians and say, No, you're not going to do this to us anymore.
We're not going to take it.
Well, I think you're doing a great job for the people of Tennessee.
They're lucky to have you.
Uh I've watched your career blossom.
You've become a strong leader in the Senate.
We need more people like you.
You stand on your principles, and uh, we really appreciate that you're there.
We need more conservatives in the Senate.
And I'm not I didn't say Republicans on purpose.
I want more conservatives in the Senate.
Yes.
Uh we have enough of Lisa Murkowski's and I think uh Kelly Tubaka is probably gonna win that race.
I won't drag you into it, so I won't ask you because I'm a good person.
Uh, but we really appreciate your time.
And uh I've got to get back down to Tennessee.
I love music grow as you know.
Absolutely, and we would love to have you here.
Thanks, Sean.
All right, Marsha Blackburn, Senator, Great State of Tennessee, 800 941 Sean, our number you want to be a part of the program.
Tunnel to Towers Foundation, they broke ground now on their do good village.
It's in Landalakes, Florida.
It's the first of its kind.
It's a community of 110 homes for the foundation's program recipients, and it's a community they're building so families can heal together.
A special place where families know that all of their neighbors understand, can relate, they care.
A community where the children of our nation's fallen or catastrophically injured heroes can experience life together.
And the Foundation's Do Good Village is going to keep these families and help them beyond measure.
And they got an extraordinary donation of many acres of land.
And of course, they need your help to actually build the homes.
And we can all together help America's greatest heroes and their families heal together, and we can make a do good village.
Maybe this is the first of many communities like it.
And anyway, a mortgage-free home.
The Foundation makes good on their promise to do good to never forget the sacrifices that our heroes have made for us and our count our country and our communities.
And they're asking that all of us pledge $11 a month.
That's like two Starbucks trips.
11 bucks a month to Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
Uh the website is the letter T, the number two, the letter T.org.
That's the letter T, the number two, the letter T.org for Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
And by the way, it's not just conservatives that are saying the economies in the tank, even fake news CNN, fake news CNBC.
Even Lawrence Summers, that's Obama's economic advisor.
You know, they're they're saying exactly what we've been saying.
because it's that obvious and transparent to anybody and everybody that has eyes to see and ears to hear.
I lived through the Carter years.
Every day I get a stronger sense of deja vu, a Just one thing after another.
And I'm gonna leave it at that, and I I'm not gonna go further into it, but this is not gonna help.
This is not attacking the root cause.
Until you admit what the root causes are, you can't until you admit you have a problem, you can't deal with the case.
Listen, go with Secretary Yellen, who has the job you once had, said this week that quote, there is nothing to suggest a recession is in the works.
Do you agree with that?
No, I don't.
You think a recession is in the works?
I think that when inf I think when inflation is as high as it is right now, and unemployment is as low as it is right now, it's almost always been followed within two years by inflation, by recession.
The economy, the market, they're not it's not going to be able to recover unless we see some relief and relief that we can believe is a long-term solution for oil.
Here's how you fix that problem.
It was a polym policy mistake by Biden when he came in.
You reverse the mistake.
All you have to do is jaw bone.
The oil market's a futures market.
Just announced you're going to license three new refineries on the East Coast.
Also announced we're going to reexamine the XL pipeline.
We're going to give back the leases in Anwar.
We're going to give more carbon direction to understand what the costs are.
All of those policy mistakes could be reversed by just getting up and jaw boning it.
You can take oil down below a hundred bucks if you've got more accommodative towards the future production.
Now Biden may not do that.
That's on him.
We'll come back.
More your calls coming up straight ahead as we continue.
Hey there.
I'm Mary Catherine Hammond.
And I'm Carol Markowitz.
We've been in political media for a long time.
Long enough to know that it's gotten, well, a little insane.
That's why we started normally a podcast for people who are over the hysteria and just want clarity.
We talk about the issues that actually matter to the country without panic, without yelling, and with a healthy dose of humor.
We don't take ourselves too seriously, but we do take the truth seriously.
So if you're into common sense, sanity, and some occasional sas.
You're our kind of people.

All right, 25 now to the top of the hour.
Glad you're with us.
If you want to be a part of the program, Joe is in the great state of Texas.
Joe, how are you?
Happy Friday.
Thanks for checking in.
I'm doing fine, Sean, and thanks for taking my call.
I'm 72 years old.
My name is Joe.
Don't hold that against me, but I've been fifty years in the off bill.
I'd like to state a couple of facts.
Like you, I've probably heard there's an old saying.
I think he's got the cart before the horse.
He cut off drilling in this country decades before his electric cars and his Green Deal can make any impact.
The blame now the White House is saying, big old Exxon, etc.
They're they won't refine anymore.
They're they're cut back on the refining.
There's nothing to be further from the truth.
We don't have a shortage of gas and diesel at the pump.
There's no lines like 1973.
120 dollar oil makes five and six dollar gas.
Two years ago under Trump, gas and diesel were both in the mid-240s.
But oil was forty dollars a barrel.
Rig count was seven fifteen today.
Trump, it was eleven hundred.
All because of the policies of the White House.
The independent oil and gas driller can't get funds or investors to drill today because the White House, no carbon deal.
Big g big refineries, Exxon, etc., they don't drill too much on their own.
They buy oil from independent people or on the open market.
And whether it's oil or whatever your manufacturing, gas, anything that you put through a manufacturing facility, when the price of the of what goes in it through the front goes up, what comes out on the other end's going to be higher.
If if flour goes to twenty dollars, Sean, donuts be five dollars.
There's no way to cur to correct that.
But since we've grown dependent on foreign oil again, we put the country in what I what I call dire straits.
I'll make one one prediction before I quit.
What's next?
The high cost of interest on houses and car loans and everything that we buy.
The White House will blame the banks.
They won't, but yet they're the Fed.
They m they set the rates.
We'll get the blame.
The American people are not stupid.
We know who did this to us, and now you need to make your vote count before it's too late.
When we make a wrong decision, be it a man or a woman, be man and woman enough to change your course.
Let the book stop at the White House.
Thank you very much for listening.
Well, hang on one second.
I'll go so fast.
You know, here's a guy.
How many years did you work in in the oil industry?
Fifty years, and I'm still in it.
And you're still in it.
So it's people like you, you, Joe.
It's people like the truckers that have been calling us and and telling us about what's going on with the supply chain industry, the the challenges their industry faces.
It's the farmers.
I can't believe how many farmers listen to me.
I'm and there are many days I want to be on that farm with them when I'm getting the crap beat out of me by whoever on whatever given day.
And and it's the policeman and the firemen and the nurses.
They you're the people that make America great.
It's it's not the people in Washington.
It's not famous people on TV.
I can tell you that.
It's not our athletes, but you're you're doing the hard work and producing all the goods and all the services that keep us uh going and and hopefully maintaining uh a great standard of living and making more opportunities for our crit kids and grandkids.
And you know what?
Uh take a bow, sir.
You're you're you're one of the American heroes.
So many Americans, they work hard, play by the rules, pay their taxes, obey the laws, and you know what?
They're underappreciated.
And it's time that they get the the the appreciation that they're due.
Thank you for all your hard work, my friend.
Thank you.
You're a great American.
God bless you.
Uh Annie is in Miami.
Annie, I hear Miami's going a hell.
Is it true?
What?
I hear the strip at Miami's going to hell.
Is that true?
Sweetheart, we need you down here.
We need to love you.
We had going to be a few.
Okay, sweetie Pie.
You got it.
I'll be right down.
By the way, I'm I find it a term of endearment, but if I if I were to call you sweetheart, hey, sweetheart, uh, you know, I'll be charged with toxic masculinity.
No, no, no.
You would you would be uh you would be loved.
I would be sweetheart, I'll t I'll sweetheart you back, and that's lovingly.
Um it's what you're well, your heart speaks and you bear your heart and and you're better for it, you know, because I I think of of Trump.
He dared his heart.
He didn't stop at any place.
He shared the wealth, and he was very knowledgeable.
His generosity unending, and you know, I'll bet you this j uh gentleman that just spoke.
He knows a lot, and there's something that if we were to ask Trump, Trump would immediately expose because that's all he did.
He was he's he was very diligently exposing truth, exposing information.
Not one moment of the time that he worked at the at the White House when well he did work.
Uh were we able to do that?
Listen, I I can give you personal insight.
He never stopped working.
There's a there's a Christian anthem uh uh song called Waymaker.
Michael W. Smith does a great version of it.
You know, in it it's praising Jesus and God.
You never stop, you never stop, you never stop working.
That's part of the song.
I Linda can sing her great, by the way.
And anyway, no, as a president, he never stopped.
I'm not comparing him to Jesus for you, lunatics out there that take everything the wrong way.
But he d he never did.
He was engaged constantly.
Yeah, he played some golf.
Yes, he went to Bedminster, yes, he went to Mar-a-Lago, but he really worked constantly.
And uh I still remain in touch with the former president, and he's still up to speed.
He knows more about what's going on by a long shot over the current president.
And he's not happy about it.
No comparison.
It's no comparison, and you know, I was listening to Senator Blackburn.
If there were ever a woman to get into the White House, not because she's a woman, it's because she's an informed human being.
I would vote for her in a heartbeat.
She's in extremely intelligent.
That's one thing we need to be doing is um see something, say something, uh, be prepared, well informed, plan, because it's all about your life.
Where are we gonna go?
There's nothing.
There's nothing like the United States, and that's why all of these people want to live here.
But we have that in our hemisphere here in the western part of the world.
And they ha they have no business.
They're in their their intent and they yes, they are planning here in the schools.
The the biggest most important thing to them is how to destroy the youth.
Because that's where in our future.
I had I had in my book, Live Free or Die, Chapter Four, uh, about socialism, and it's history of failure.
And and ostensibly we're now experiencing an almost record time failure at a level that I that nobody anticipated.
I told I tried to warn everybody how bad it was gonna be, and I'm not patting myself on the back.
I saw it coming, I know what they I knew what they were proposing was real.
That's why I've been playing these tapes of Joe Biden over and over again saying we're gonna eliminate it, we're gonna end fossil fuels, or we're gonna it's gone, finished, we're done with it.
Um because by design.
This was his stated plan.
He's fulfilling his promise, and we're suffering the consequences, as as I predicted would would happen.
I didn't think it would be this bad this Quick.
I knew it would be awful within four years, but a year and a half is pretty quick to destroy an economy that was pretty robust when he inherited it.
We gotta work hard at taking gas from $2.39 a gallon to $5.15 a gallon.
You gotta work hard to be that dumb.
And unfortunately, this is the history of that ism, socialism, communism, redistribution, uh re redistributionism, whatever you want to call it.
You know, it's it's all it's a philosophy that has been tried in many names, many forms, many manifestations, but it always results in the same thing.
Uh promises that are never fulfilled, more poverty, and failure.
And that's where Joe has taken the country.
And it's even worse because I don't think he knows what day of the week it is.
So we've got ourselves, you know, we've got to be on a mission here, and we've got to get a course correction.
We've got to write the ship.
We've got to avoid the iceberg and a full head-on collision, but I'm not sure if we're going to be able to.
And the way to do it, we have to win not just this November, we gotta win the following November.
Whoever the candidate ends up being, we've got to win the presidency.
Because as good as I think the new Congress will be, and hopefully the new Senate will be, they they still have a president that will veto every bill.
And there's not much we can do.
He'll use executive orders.
That takes years to litigate in the court.
So we've got we we've got to learn our lesson here.
Um, and I'll tell you, people are learning the hard way.
This is the first time for many to really live through any type of real, real bad hardship.
I know we we hit a dot-com bubble, and we had 2007 and eight and and the economy then.
This is far deeper and far worse than anything I've seen in my lifetime.
And I remember my parents talk about the depression all the time and how bad things were and how desperate people were.
Um, and food lines.
Uh, if you want to get a glimpse of it, watch the movie Cinderella Man.
It's a great movie.
It's a true story.
And um I I I just shudder to think what's gonna happen.
It's already happening.
But Annie, God bless you, you're you're wonderful.
I'm so glad you're out there.
Tom in Utah.
Hey, Tom, how are you?
Well, thank you.
What an honor to speak with you, Sean.
I wanted to get your opinion on a quick matter.
Um you've talked you've talked about unfortunately people are catching up to you that uh Joe Biden's a cognitive mess.
So we we get that.
We also we just talked about the uh the plan to destroy the economy, to get us off uh fossil fuels, etc.
So my question to you is do you think that the Democrats in the administration have overplayed their hand?
In other words, are things far worse than they expected it to be?
Or do you think that things as bad as they are now, that's what they you know, that's what they expected?
Because it seems to me that the destruction is far worse, far faster, as you just mentioned, than perhaps they expected, but I wanted to get your opinion on that.
Look, I think you I think there are liberals out there, and I'll put them in the category of true believers that actually believe this crap and and have no desire to dig an inch deep under the surface and uh and study the history of socialism.
They could they could just read chapter four.
I laid it all out in in my book.
Uh maybe I'll put it up on my website for free at some point.
And the the true believers, you can't convince them.
They really, you know, the AOCs of the world, I think she really believes when she said two years ago that we only have 12 years left.
I think there are people that believe that.
Uh, then you've got the people that are far more sinister.
They just want the power.
They want the control.
You know, we've seen glimpses of it with this new modern green new deal Democratic Socialist Party.
I mean, when they want to pack the courts, when they want to end the legislative filibuster, when they want DC statehood and and all these other power grabs that they've been involved in, uh, and the Electoral College, then you know they're serious for them, it's about the power.
And for them, it's about authoritarianism.
And that's where they would take us.
Uh who fits into what category?
Uh, you know, it's hard sometimes to read people's minds and hearts, but there are many that absolutely know damn well what they're doing.
They know it's a power grab and they know they want control.
You know, for example, just on the issue of having no voter ID and no signature verification, and you don't update voter roles, and you just send out ballots to anybody, any place, anywhere.
You know, they think that's gonna work in their nev uh to their advantage.
That's that's those are nefarious intentions.
The same people that want you to carry your vaccination card with you everywhere you go.
Uh the same people that insist if you get into the Capitol, you gotta show a photo ID.
To buy a beer, you need a photo ID.
To buy a uh jewel pod, you need a voter I need a picture ID.
So, you know, it's it's sad that people I don't know.
I mean, there are people that just don't like freedom.
They don't believe in freedom.
And the antithesis of that is authoritarianism.
And they want power, absolute power.
It corrupts absolutely, and they want it.
As much of it as they can have.
And it's at our expense, and it's at this expense of what is the foundational principles that made this country great liberty, freedom, capitalism, our constitution.
All of those things.
What did uh Jamie Raskin say?
It's an outdated relic.
Our constitution, as it relates to the provision of an electoral college.
Uh, why is that?
Then New York and California and New Jersey and Illinois, so that they can pick every president and the hell with the rest of us?
No, thank you.
Our founders, our framers did that for a very good reason.
Uh anyway, good call, my friend.
Appreciate it.
