All right, hour two, Sean Hannity Show, toll-free.
It's 800-941.
Sean, you want to be a part of the program?
Well, Leonard Skynyd, simple man, that means only one thing on this show, especially on a Wednesday, that means all things Bill O'Reilly, all things O'Reilly at billo'reilly.com.
And sure enough, Bill O'Reilly gets yet another week, number one on the New York Times bestseller list, Killing the Killers.
He's working on his next book, which is Killing Hannity.
And he's killed a lot of other people.
So why not Hannity?
I'll be right up there with Patton and the rest of them.
Mr. O'Reilly, sir, how are you?
Did you miss me last week, Hannity?
I was in California last week, Hannity.
Everybody out there says hello.
Yeah, I doubt it.
Everybody out there hates you and me.
I'm surprised you survived it.
They like you in Santa Barbara because you started there, right?
I did.
Yeah, you know, though, I was in Santa Barbara and I was like wandering the streets going, anybody remember Hannity?
He lived here.
Bill, we're aging here.
That was 1987 and 8 when I was out there on the radio.
Can you believe it?
I can.
You're very old.
I can.
You're much older and my hair is still intact.
So remember that.
Keep it light here, Bill.
Listen, we did miss you.
We always love having you on.
Congrats on the book.
Let me be serious for a moment.
I mean, your killing series has done phenomenally well.
If you haven't gotten Killing the Killers, it really brings you inside the operations of taking out the world's worst, most evil, you know, monsters like Bin Laden, et cetera.
And it's a phenomenal book.
It gives you insight that you never had before.
I think it's the best in your series, to be very frank.
And I hate giving you a compliment in a cupcake interview like I did, but I did it because I'm a good guy.
I want to ask you about this Uvalde thing.
Now, we all know what happens.
We can start with, you know, how did they, why did they lie to us?
Why were they dishonest with everybody?
Why, when parents showed up at that school, did they spend more time and effort pushing the parents away when we know there's an active shooter?
Now, I know Stephen McGraw made the public statement that he didn't think, think, or assume, assume that these kids were still at risk as they waited for an hour for reinforcements.
So we've got two aspects of this.
That is not law enforcement that I know.
That's not what happened on 9-11, 2001, Bill.
You know that idea.
I mean, everybody knows the police, the local police did not handle this the way they should have handled it.
There's no doubt about that.
And I assume that the Texas authorities will clean out that police department in Uvalde.
A couple of things that I've learned today that are interesting.
So the shooter, and this is homegrown terrorism.
It ties into killing the killers.
These people are terrorists.
And there are a whole bunch of reasons.
It's not a jihad.
It's not based on religion as the overseas terrorists is.
But nevertheless, they are trying to terrorize and destroy human beings for their own purposes.
That's the definition.
Well, this 18-year-old who did this, his family all have encounters with the police, and the father pled no contest to a weapons charge.
Did you know that?
I did not know that.
Okay, no one knows it but me because I've had my investigators looking into why the authorities are covering up this story.
This is a really, really interesting question.
So why won't they tell the truth about how the police bungled it?
Why?
Why won't they tell you about the shooter's background?
Why?
And I just think it's incompetence.
I don't think it's like the Sussman trial, and I hope you'll ask me a question about that.
I think it's incompetence, a small town.
They've never dealt with anything like this before.
They panicked, no doubt.
They panicked.
And now the American people are saying, what the deuce is going on?
Listen, Bill, there's a very simple principle in life.
If there's a school shooter, an active shooter in a school, you don't wait.
This is what you sign up for once you join law enforcement.
All my law enforcement friends, they are aghast at this because it is the antithesis of who they are and what they train for.
Now, you put that in one bucket.
Let's go to bucket number two, which is the predictable, oh, Whoopi Goldberg saying, gun owners, you're going to give up your guns.
And Michael Moore, it's time to repeal the Second Amendment.
And Joe Biden wants to even ban nine millimeter handguns.
The Second Amendment is not absolute, he said.
Beto Bozo O'Rourke, who previously, when he ran for president, was, hell yeah, we're coming for your AK-47s and your AR-15s.
Then he was running for governor, and then he said, no, no, no, I'm fully supporting the Second Amendment.
Now he's flipped back to confiscation.
So it's been politicized.
Yes.
This is an interesting thing.
So the President of the United States gets out and he says, the Second Amendment is not absolute.
So you couldn't buy a cannon and a load of guns when the Second Amendment was passed.
Remember him saying that?
Yeah, by the way, that's been debunked, but go ahead.
The first federal regulation on firearms was passed in 1934.
Correct.
I'm very impressed.
You're doing well now.
Well, I wrote Killing the Mob, Hannity.
And the reason it was passed in 1934 was because of all the gangsters running around with the machine guns and Al Capone, St. Valentine's Day massacre and all that.
So the federal government did not have any prohibition about you could buy a cannon, Joe.
You could buy anything that you wanted if you had the money.
But that's debunked.
Here's where I want to go with this.
Now, there's a couple of areas that we got to talk about regarding this.
Number one, you know, Bill, since 2009, I have scrolled the names of people shot and shot and killed in Chicago.
Joe Biden is vice president for eight years.
He was a senator for a thousand years before that.
Now he's the president, and he doesn't know that today is Wednesday.
Just a separate aside to all of this.
And not one word.
He never mentioned the name of one kid that was killed in the eight years he's vice president.
And the presidents, this is his home city.
They didn't lift a finger.
And the reason I believe, correct me if I'm wrong, is because they don't want to go after big city Democratic mayors, Democratic governors that have run these cities and schools into the ground.
There's no law.
There's no order.
There's no safety.
There's no security.
You can't pursue happiness.
And by the way, they've destroyed the educational system in most of these same blue states and blue cities.
So only when it's politically expedient.
And they need something to run on this midterm election bill that can't run on the borders of the economy or gas prices or inflation.
So they got to say, oh, your abortion rights are going to be taken away.
That's a lie.
Abortion will not be outlawed.
And now they're going to try and confiscate weapons and make this a big wedge issue to motivate their base.
What say you, to use your words?
But it is racism for the left not to confront the holocaust of murders in the inner cities.
You know, 54% of all convicted murderers in America, Hannity, are African American.
54%.
13% of the population, 54% of convicted murderers.
Now, you would think that everybody in the African-American community would want that to stop, right?
But they don't report it.
They don't even report it.
So in Chattanooga and Muskegee, Oklahoma, there were shootings also around the Uvalde thing, and none of it was reported because they were African-American shooters and victims.
Can I say it a little differently?
Can I say that this is our national treasure?
Every child, let's put race aside for a second.
They have God's human potential within them.
And they're being in numbers, Bill, since 2019, we lost nearly 5,000 children dead.
And nobody talks about them.
We don't know their names.
We only hear about it when it can be politicized.
Now, I have a solution, and I'd like you to join me in my solution.
Now, I believe it's an anomaly, what happened in Uvalde with the police.
I would like every school all across this country to have armed guards, a single point of entry, and metal detectors.
And I mean trained, you know, former military, retired military, retired police.
And I would like them to secure the perimeter and offer our children the same protection we pay for for our highly ranked state, local, and federal elected officials, which I think is the right thing to do.
If we're going to provide them protection, let's protect our kids in school, and then let's go in the towns and cities that need it, and let's show a large police presence and protect life there as well.
Look, the states have got to handle the schools.
The feds don't do that.
So I would assume that almost every state would agree with you and me that the federal government gives money to every public school child federally, so some of those monies can be directed towards security, couldn't it?
They give them block grants.
They can direct that money whichever way they want.
But the underlying cause of the violence is being ignored in this country because people are afraid to even state it.
And I wrote a extensive gun message on billoreilly.com, and my first was, bad parenting leads to this.
Bad parenting.
That's what leads to all of this.
And you don't hear anything about that, Annity.
It's not always, listen, Bill, I know people that have been good parents that end up with kids that do things that honestly, you can't hold them responsible.
At some point, every child, every individual soul has to make their own decision in life.
Are there bad parents out there?
Absolutely.
But at the end of the day, once you hit 14, 15, 16, 17, you know what?
You can't control the kids like you used to.
I prefer to go back to the good old days when my kids were young.
And guess what?
They didn't do anything I didn't approve of.
That's not the life that I have anymore.
They're adults.
And I warn them about the dangers.
But you never know, Bill, do you?
One thing I've learned as a parent, you never stop worrying about your kids.
It doesn't matter how old they are.
All right, 40% of all babies are born out of wedlock in this country.
40%, there's your shooters.
That's why we have a chaotic society.
40%.
It's not a good figure.
It could be definitely a contributing factor that you can prove, I'm sure statistically, but that's not everybody.
There are plenty of anomalies in there.
I hate sweeping with a broad brush, but I want you to get focused on this.
What about my idea?
I want armed security.
I like it.
I like it.
That's all I wanted to know.
Yeah, I mean, states will do it.
How much time we got?
Two minutes.
And I want your thoughts on the intellectually lazy argument that an inanimate object is responsible because I'm not buying that.
All right, look, I'm with you.
This has to be done in a very methodical way, and law enforcement has to get into federalizing all gun crimes.
If you do that, you make it a lot easier to control guns in the hands of criminals.
Innocent, law-abiding people deserve the right to defend themselves.
That's why the Second Amendment was created.
By the way, Bill, the CDC points out 2.5 million people a year use firearms to protect themselves successfully.
Absolutely.
Hey there, I'm Mary Catherine Ham, and I'm Carol Markowitz.
We've been in political media for a long time.
Long enough to know that it's gotten, well, a little insane.
That's why we started Normally, a podcast for people who are over the hysteria and just want clarity.
We talk about the issues that actually matter to the country without panic, without yelling, and with a healthy dose of humor.
We don't take ourselves too seriously, but we do take the truth seriously.
So if you're into common sense, sanity, and some occasional sass, you're our kind of people.
Catch new episodes of Normally every Tuesday and Thursday on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you listen.
I'm Ben Ferguson, and I'm Ted Cruz.
Three times a week, we do our podcast, Verdict with Ted Cruz.
Nationwide, we have millions of listeners.
Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, we break down the news and bring you behind the scenes inside the White House, inside the Senate, inside the United States Supreme Court.
And we cover the stories that you're not getting anywhere else.
We arm you with the facts to be able to know and advocate for the truth with your friends and family.
So down a verdict with Ted Cruz now, wherever you get your podcasts.
All right, we continue with Bill O'Reilly.
Don't forget his new book is now number one, New York Times bestseller, Killing the Killers, Amazon.com, Hannity.com, BillO'Reilly.com, bookstores everywhere.
Can I just say one thing about the Sussman trial here, Kennedy?
Yeah, go ahead.
You got a minute.
Yeah, go ahead.
Okay.
So Sussman was acquitted, right?
If I were on that jury, I might have voted the same way because the primary witness, James Baker, the FBI counsel, contradicted himself under oath.
That is a fact.
However, the key to this case is who is paying Sussman's law bills?
To defend himself in this is more than a million dollars.
We looked into the law firm defending him.
He's not paying that, Hannity.
He's not paying for his defense.
You can find it, then you're going to know what the scandal really is.
Baker knows, and Baker, no, Durham knows, and Durham should have a press conference and lay it all on out there.
That's what I want him to say.
I think Durham did something.
Look, you go into a Washington courtroom, D.C. circuit courtroom, you know you're not going to get a conviction unless you're a conservative, in my view.
The jury pool was tainted, in my view.
It was a little tenuous.
It was a little tenuous.
Yeah, I don't think they should have had Hillary donors, AOC donors.
I don't think in the jury pool you should have the father that has a little girl on the same team as the defendant.
You know, I'm a little old-fashioned that way.
That seems like a conflict to me.
But you raised good points.
Simple man, Bill O'Reilly, killing the killers, Hannity.com, Amazon.com, bookstores everywhere.
All things O'Reilly, BillOReilly.com.
Sir, thank you.
We always appreciate you joining us.
Same.
Bye.
Quick break right back.
Your calls on the other side.
Straight ahead.
All right, 25 now to the top of the hour, 800-941-Sean, if you want to be a part of the program.
All right, wide open phones.
You can talk about anything.
You talked about the verdicts, Sussman trial, Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, or we can go to Tom in Ohio and he can talk about whatever he wants.
Tom, how are you?
Fine.
It's an honor to talk to you.
I just want to kind of rant, I guess you'd say, about the situation in this country.
The Democrats hated Trump so bad that they would do anything to get rid of him and take over this country.
The Democrats, Bloomberg Soros, the Communist Chinese, and Fauci with his flu have brought this country down, and we need to get rid of them.
And the election coming up, we need to start over with a whole new slate because this country is just horrible.
I mean, I'm retired, and I have a diesel truck, and I'm paying $5.30 a gallon for diesel fuel.
And when Trump was in, I was paying about $2.
Now, what's wrong with this picture?
What's wrong with it is, you know what?
It's killing Americans, and it's hurting them unnecessarily so.
And people are suffering needlessly.
I keep going back to every single crisis Joe Biden has now put us in was preventable and it's all fixable.
The border, we can fix it.
Go back to the Trump policies.
Energy prices, we can fix it.
Go back to energy independence.
The economy, inflation, well, one of the biggest things we could do is drive down the price of energy.
That means increase in production, assuming supply remains constant.
We'll be the masters of our own destiny.
We won't be making deals with dictators in Venezuela or murdering thugs and the mullahs in Iran that threaten to blow up Israel and blow up the United States.
We won't be begging OPEC countries, many of whom hate our guts.
We'll be energy self-sufficient.
We can be a net exporter of energy.
We've proven we can do that.
We are the Middle East of natural gas.
We have hundreds of years of reserves of natural gas.
We have so much oil.
We can be self-sustaining for decades and decades and decades and decades and a century or more.
There's no earthly reason why, except if you've been indoctrinated into this climate alarmist religious cultism and this belief system that we're destroying the planet.
We're destroying the country and we're hurting innocent people.
You're on a fixed income.
You're getting screwed big time.
If you are in the poor, if you're middle class, you're getting crushed.
Now, people can't afford, if they drive to work to and from work every day, to pay another two grand a year in gas prices, all because Joe Biden cares more about the climate alarmists that run his party, and he fears them more than he does the American people.
Because if he cared about the American people, he would make the decision, which would be the right decision, change course.
But that's not going to happen.
This is why November is so important.
This is why we can fix all of this.
I'll take the guy that sits in the real White House, not the phony White House, because in the phony White House, they can have a teleprompter to make us think that he's competent and he still can't even read the teleprompter right.
I'll take that guy with the mean tweets any day, any time of the week.
You get the last word.
Yes, I agree with you.
Trump has to come back, or somebody like Trump has to come back and set this country straight because, you know, I mean, prices were 50% cheaper when Trump was in.
And if they could have the economy come back, if they get the pipeline done and open up the oil fields and the refineries and stuff, and we'd be going good again.
It'd be like it was, you know, before, two years ago.
This is just something else.
I mean, you know, these people got to go.
I feel, listen, you're paying all this money for diesel, but if you're paying in the five, that's cheaper than most of the truckers I know.
I know truckers paying over six bucks a gallon for diesel now.
This is central Ohio.
Okay, well, you're living in a part of the country that's on the lower end, but I'm telling you, I can see it.
I'm talking to people.
Now, let me ask you a question.
Now, you drive an 18-wheeler, you're owner-operator, or you work for somebody?
No, sir.
I drive, it's a pickup.
It's a crew cab dually pickup that I towers with.
Oh, that's cool.
Very cool.
So, but it costs a lot of money to fill up that pickup.
So now the question is: all right, so you're working for other people.
Now, you can't afford to live on less money, especially with a 42-year high in inflation.
Everything you buy in every store you go to, like the rest of us, you're paying more for.
So, what do you do with the added cost for you to function and do your business?
I'm assuming you pass the cost on to your customers.
Am I right?
Yes, I do.
I have to.
I just cut back and you know, don't buy anything extravagant.
And my wife and I eat at home all the time.
And, you know, stuff like that.
And I do.
Listen, I live the same way.
I cook almost every meal, especially during the week.
I cook it myself.
And every morning, it's the same breakfast.
I work out an hour and a half and I have four egg whites, spinach, and grilled onions.
And occasionally, I'll put a little bit of chopped meat in it just for an extra taste if I'm extra hungry.
You know, I'm a total paleo guy.
And even chopped meat, I'm paying twice what I paid a year ago for.
I mean, and even if I go to like 80% fat instead of 90%, I'm sorry, 80% lean rather than 90% lean.
So, I mean, it sucks.
Look, I've been there, and people can say, Hannah, you can afford it.
Okay, you're right.
I can afford it.
But I remember all those years when I couldn't.
I remember all those years, week by week, I struggled to pay my rent.
And that has never left me in my life.
And I like to give money and stuff to other people.
Sure, I have a nice house.
I buy a few nice things.
They don't mean anything to me.
Know what I've learned about this life?
You don't own Adam Schiff.
We own nothing.
We're all renters.
You think you own your house.
You think you own your car.
You think you own your precious sports car.
Some of my friends are motorheads.
They like obsessed with their stupid sport cars.
You think you own your boat.
You think you own your golf clubs.
Uh-uh.
You rent them.
Because when you die, guess what?
Somebody else is living in your house, driving that fancy car, hitting those little white balls or yellow or orange balls with your clubs.
You don't own a thing.
We rent.
Don't get obsessed with things.
And yeah, I would urge everybody, find ways to cut back, save money if you can.
Now, I hate saying that to people, but it's just the way the reality, that's the reality of today.
The worst part is, I wish I could give people hope and say, you know what?
This is transitory.
Even Janet Yellen is saying it ain't transitory.
This is now reality, and it's going to be a reality because I don't see in Joe Biden or these radical Green New Deal climate alarmist cult members any capacity to admit that they have been wrong and that the ability to switch, move back to the policies that work.
In other words, Clinton, to his credit, the era of big government is over.
He got a shellacking in his first midterm in 1994, and he realized I'm going to be out of office in two years unless I change.
Newt Gingrich took over Congress.
Republicans got it back for the first time in 40 years.
And lo and behold, he said the era of big government is over and the end of welfare as we know it.
That was him adjusting to the public, public demand.
The public is now demanding that we have lower gas prices, get rid of this inflation.
We don't want higher interest rates.
We don't want our borders wide open.
We don't need the chaos that has been created in Afghanistan and elsewhere.
We don't want it.
We could have prevented it.
And we can fix it if we get these people the hell out of office.
If you don't think November, if that's not enough to motivate you for November, then live with the government.
You'll get the government you deserve.
You know what?
I can only do so much here.
I'm only one person, one vote.
I'll give you the information.
Others won't give it to you.
And then you, the American people, will have to decide.
Encourage all of your friends to join you so we can fix this mess and not be the generation, as Reagan said, we're but one generation away.
Freedom is one generation away from extinction.
I don't want that to happen on my watch.
I don't want to be on my deathbed one day looking up saying, oh, Adam Schiff.
I can't believe it.
You know, I failed my kids and my grandkids.
And the greatest country God gave man is now a shiff hole.
I couldn't live with myself.
I'd die knowing that I failed.
I don't want to fail.
I want America to succeed.
I want every American to have that ladder to success.
I know we're better.
We've proven that we can be better than this.
This is unnecessary suffering now inflicted on the American people because of radicalism.
Those are the times we are now living in.
That's how serious I view all of this.
All right, let's get back to our phones.
Thank you, Tom.
Appreciate the call, buddy.
Kim is in Wyoming.
Kim, a lot of drama going on out there.
I saw Donald Trump, big rally.
See that Liz Cheney's down, I think, 30 points out there.
What's going on on the ground there?
Oh, yeah, absolutely, Sean.
Thank you so much for taking my call.
Absolutely love your show.
Thank you.
We actually was, we went to the Trump rally, and it was phenomenal.
I mean, just, it was awesome.
And yeah, we're trying our best to get Liz out.
Isn't it a kind of amazing phenomenon?
I mean, think about it.
The only other people that can get crowds like that are sporting events, concerts, and then you got this one politician and one politician only, Donald J. Trump.
You know, got 40,000 people and another 30,000 outside the arena.
I'm like, this is insane.
I can't get that many.
I couldn't get 4,000 people inside.
A free Hannity speech.
Come to a rally.
Five people show up.
Anyway, go ahead.
Because my husband, John, even said while we were out there, you know, it's like going to a rock concert without the rock star.
I mean, the energy was just amazing.
I mean, it was just something to be experienced.
Let's just put it that way.
But, no, I'm calling in because I was talking to some people and no one has mentioned really much.
I heard, you know, you mentioned it, but the news, no one's really mentioning.
I'm in the healthcare field.
I'm actually in radiology.
And there is a shortage of, you know, we're talking about all these shortages and stuff of IV contracts, you know, for our patients right now.
And people are, you know, thinking that it's just, you know, oh, y'all are just out of it or this, that, and the other.
Hey, Ken, I told you last week this was coming because I have friends in the medical community.
They told me we're now having shortages of IV fluids and it's a big deal.
What you're saying is 100% true.
Oh, yes.
And it is, and it's bad.
I mean, like, we're having to pick and choose pretty much when we get a little bit of contrast and we're having to hold on to it, you know, for those patients who are having, you know, a stroke or blood clots or basically pick and choose which patient deserves this and which patient doesn't.
And that is just beyond that.
First of all, I admire you being in the medical community.
I admire what you do.
And we're a better country than what you're describing.
We're a better country than running out of COVID tests going into the third year of a pandemic.
That didn't happen under Trump.
Operation Warp Speed.
We can warp speed the production of fluids.
We can warp speed the production of baby formula.
We can warp speed the production of monoclonal antibodies, especially because every new variant, you need a new monoclonal, a specific variant.
The current one is the Eli Lilly version.
For Delta, it was Regeneron.
For BA1, Omicron 1, it was citrovimab.
Now it's the Eli Lilly version for BA2 or 2.0 Omicron.
You know, and I say these things only because I want people to know that they have Plaxivoid, Plaxavid, which, by the way, there are rebound cases.
If you take the antivirals, it could go away and then it pops back up again.
So check with your doctor, ask him form questions.
I'm not playing doctor on the radio.
I don't want any of you dying over this thing.
We have therapeutics that can help you if taken early.
Anyway, Linda, you got that?
Because you never listened to me.
I always listen to you.
I know.
That's fake news.
That's totally fake news.
You listen, but you don't always agree.
Oh, that's very true.
All right, that's going to wrap things up for today.
Hannity tonight, 9 Eastern on the Fox News channel.
Obviously, we'll have the latest in what for many is a surprising verdict.
Johnny Depp winning his case over Amber Heard today.
Oh, man, Biden is lashing out.
It is an unmitigated disaster.
We've got the latest on that.
All of a sudden, the mob and the media, oh, yeah, that Huno Biden laptop, they're giving details.
Is it because they expect an indictment?
We'll get into that.
We have this Leah Thomas speaking out in this interview.
Night Eastern SetU DVR, Hannity, Fox News.
We'll see you then back here tomorrow.
