All right, our two Sean Hannity show, 800-941.
Sean, our number, you want to be a part of the program.
Now, our friend Peter Schweitzer, who has been the tip of the spear in exposing all of this corruption in terms of the Biden family syndicate, starting with, what, 2018 with his best-selling book, Secret Empires.
His most recent book has been on the best-sell list.
I think it was number one for five or six straight weeks, which is incredible.
We now are hearing almost every day that it looks like a possible indictment will be handed down in Delaware against Hunter Biden.
More importantly, now with the media, that's the only reason the media finally decided to say, oh, yeah, we think that laptop is real after all.
When they did no research in the weeks leading up to the 2020 presidential election, there's a significant percentage of Biden's supporters that said if they knew this, they likely would have changed their vote.
Putting all that aside, as the head of the research think tank, the Government Accountability Institute, Peter has done it once again, and he points out that Hunter Biden is just the tip of the iceberg, that China has a strategy of elite capture, elite work with Hunter Biden and its work at the Department of Commerce, an agency meant to protect American businesses.
And anyway, a new report is out by Peter and by the Government Accountability Institute, which he is leading.
And it's called Commerce Cronyism, Inside Deals, Conflicts of Interest, and Chinese Connections.
Anyway, Peter's here to explain the details of all this.
It goes into very great specifics, great details.
And Peter, welcome back to the program.
We appreciate it.
Always great to be with you, Sean.
Thanks for having me.
Whenever I see an executive summary, I pay very close attention.
And that's how this nine-page document begins.
And it has to do with the U.S. Department of Commerce, that they are the subject of stern congressional rebukes, but it's not that often.
But it doesn't find itself accused of being weaponized against political opponents.
And you talk about following the 2016 election, an article on Vox about the incoming power players in the Trump administration dismissed it as a cabinet, I think you said, backwater consisting of a hodgepodge of agencies.
Tell us what you'd found.
Yeah, what we found is the Commerce Department, which remember, Sean, was set up to help American business be competitive overseas by establishing rules, protecting interests, make sure bad actors like Beijing or Moscow aren't taking advantage of us or threatening our security.
And the problem is the Commerce Department has become a central focus point of Beijing's effort to co-opt our political class.
Now, the Biden family, I think, is issue number one.
He's the commander-in-chief.
He has so much power.
But there's a lot of power in the Commerce Department as well.
And the current Commerce Secretary, Gina Raimondo, her husband, Andrew Moffat, is the executive at a Chinese-funded tech firm called PAST AI.
So this is an artificial intelligence company that is being funded by a Chinese fund controlled by the Chinese government.
And Moffat has recently exercised stock options.
He's going to make a lot of money.
The problem is Gina Raimondo has come out and said explicitly, it's not our job to deal with China in any aggressive way.
We want commerce and business as usual, even though they're doing all these things to undermine our security.
And in fact, Huawei, remember that company, which now seven countries, including the United States, have said is linked to the Chinese intelligence apparatus, she recently reversed several restrictions on Huawei that had been put in place by the Trump administration.
So you have all the concerns about Hunter Biden that you and I first disclosed in 2018 and are as real and as important as ever.
But we have to realize it's about more than Hunter Biden.
It's about this concerted effort, and they are undermining the effectiveness and the integrity of the Commerce Department, which is supposed to be combating them on these issues.
Let me just remind everybody who Gina Ramondo is as Commerce Secretary.
Remember, we were in the middle of the supply chain crisis, and people were asking about, well, what about our Christmas gifts?
Are they going to get delivered on time?
Here was her answer.
So there are reports that those, while the president announced the 24-7 opening, that that's not actually happening out in California, that there's still backups.
Business community has been complaining about that.
There are backups, and as I said, this isn't something that can be fixed overnight.
But the important thing is, fundamentally, supply chains and logistics are run by the private sector.
People say to me, will Christmas gifts be delivered?
To which I say, call FedEx.
That isn't what the government does.
What we are doing, and the president is committed to this, we're using every tool in our toolbox to be supportive, to help, to unstick the ports.
So what you're discovering here is this decades-long, troubling financial entanglements that exist, and the Commerce Department's leadership and family members have financial ties to the very business that they're supposedly doing at the Commerce Department.
Is that a good summary?
That's a great summary, Sean.
And if you look at the Trump administration, I mean, Donald Trump has done more than any other president, certainly in my lifetime, I think in history, to really engage and explain what China is doing and find ways to counter them.
The biggest resistance he faced in his administration was from the Commerce Department.
Wilbur Ross, who was appointed Commerce Secretary, comes from a finance background.
Okay, that's fine.
But it turns out while he was Commerce Secretary, he was the co-owner with Chinese state-backed companies of shipping businesses.
He failed to disclose it.
But when President Trump would say, we need tariffs imposed on Chinese steel or in these other areas, commerce would always gut those tariffs.
They would minimize them.
They would create large loopholes.
Some of those loopholes were for Wilbur Ross's companies.
So this is a problem that's existed in both administrations, and the Commerce Department needs to be rooted out.
And I think whoever becomes president in January of 2025, that has to be a priority.
Because if you've got the government agency that is supposed to be effectively dealing with China on these issues, and you've got leadership that has all these financial entanglements, you're not going to get the kind of policies that we need in this country to protect ourselves.
Go back to the $1.5 billion deal with the Bank of China, originally $1 billion, but it became $1.5 billion.
And because you were first out of the box in 2018, and you broke this news on this show and on my TV show when Secret Empires came out, but you exposed how compromised Biden, through his son, was with all of these countries.
But look at this deal specifically with China, because now this fits in with the current Commerce Secretary, Gina Raimondo, and her husband.
He's an executive at a Chinese-funded tech firm, and their relationship with China may be subject to the rule under consideration by the Commerce Department.
That's called a big conflict of interest.
And the question here is, why are the communist Chinese so willing to do business with people in America in the case of Hunter Biden that has no experience at all whatsoever?
Why wouldn't you go to Goldman Sachs or Deutsche Bank or Morgan Chase or any of the big banking firms or financial firms in New York and Wall Street?
Why would you go with Hunter Biden and Devin Archer?
Well, we know the answer to that, Sean, and you're exactly right.
I mean, this 1.5, what eventually became $1.5 billion private equity deal is called Bohai Harvest RST or BHR.
In fact, was funded by the Chinese government, and they picked as their partners Rosemont Seneca Partners, this rinky-dink financial firm that had just been established a couple of years earlier by the son of the vice president, Hunter Biden and Devin Archer, neither one of whom had any experience in international finance.
And we now know precisely why they did pick them.
They weren't picking them for their investment advice.
They were picking them because they wanted the access to the White House.
And as we show in Red Handed, and you and I have talked about, they got that access.
There were off-the-books meetings that Vice President Joe Biden had in the Obama White House that were not on the White House visitor logs with senior Chinese officials, including CCP officials.
And they purposely arranged those meetings in such a way that they would not appear on the visitor logs.
We know they happened because the Chinese officials on Chinese language media sites bragged about the fact that they got these meetings with Joe Biden.
So they got access, but Sean, they also got leverage.
I mean, this is how they operate.
They got leverage.
They are making the Biden family wealthy.
We've calculated some $31 million they've received from Chinese companies.
And those deals all came from four Chinese businessmen who all have links to the highest levels of Chinese intelligence.
It's fascinating, though, because if you look at the American people, they're beginning to believe larger and larger percentages that Joe Biden himself is compromised by China.
All right, quick break more with Peter Schweitzer on the other side.
Then we'll get to your calls, 800-941-Sean, if you want to be a part of the program.
All right, Peter Schweitzer is with us, author of two best-selling books.
He's the one that broke the story about, let's see, Hunter Biden and Burisma and Ukraine and China and all the information on the Biden family syndicate.
He now has, with his think tank that he heads up, the Government Accountability Institute, he has a new bombshell report.
It's only nine pages.
We put it up on Hannity.com.
It's called Red Handed, How American Elites Get Rich Helping China Win.
Now, I've got to imagine, knowing Hunter's background as a crack addict and somebody that frequented prostitutes, according to reports and the laptop and everything else, that I would assume that they have a lot of compromising materials against Biden and his family.
And I would assume Russia and Putin probably do as well.
I know everyone got upset when Donald Trump said, yeah, Putin should probably release everything he has on Hunter and Joe and Hillary Clinton.
He said it knowing pretty darn well with a high degree of certainty that they likely have a huge dossier on all of them.
Well, and in fact, Sean, all we have to do is take Hunter Biden at his own word.
You remember the videotape that came out four or five months ago where he was with the woman.
Some thought she was a Russian prostitute.
It's unclear who she was, but it's a video audio tape.
He's there talking to her, and he talks about the fact that he's afraid that the Russians, as he put it, have all this compromising material on him and have leverage over him.
So Hunter Biden himself has acknowledged that this is a problem.
But let's take it to the next step.
Let's assume Hunter Biden may get an indictment out of Delaware.
Now we know that the statement repeatedly made by Joe Biden, the president, that he never had any discussion whatsoever with Hunter Biden about his foreign business dealings is not true.
Hunter Biden putting aside money for the big guy.
Hunter Biden also whining about paying all of dad's bills and whining that dad takes 50% of all that he's making.
So it appears, and there's a picture of, I guess, Hunter and Joe and a Kazakhstan oligarch as well.
So there's now more than ample evidence that shows that Joe Biden, in fact, knew all of it.
Yeah, that's exactly right.
And I think what you're going to get from the grand jury is you're going to get indictments.
I think the reason that the media now, the mainstream media, some of them are starting to report on this in the way they are, it's being shaped by Team Biden.
And they're trying to soften the landing, so to speak, that Hunter is going to get indicted.
And they're going to try to explain it, that this is a Hunter-Biden issue.
It's not a Biden family issue.
But you're exactly right.
You can't separate the two.
The entire business model that Hunter Biden had set up, that the family had set up, that, by the way, led to money into Joe Biden's pocket from Hunter Biden, was all predicated on the father's political career and the father's ability to do favors for foreign actors.
You started unpeeling the layers of the onions in 2018.
That's four years ago, Peter.
It's over four years now because I think it was in the early part of 2018 when we did the first interview.
And now my question is: do you believe that Joe Biden is compromised by countries like China, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, others?
I do.
I do, especially as it relates to China.
And I think if China has, I think the others have as well.
All you have to do is look at what Joe Biden has done as president towards China.
They're not expecting him to be a robot.
What they're looking for, if you translate it to English, is big help with a little bad mouth.
And what they basically mean, Sean, is they understand you have to make statements about the Uyghurs, you have to make statements about human rights.
That's a little bad mouth.
What they want is unfettered access to our technology, unfettered access to our capital markets, which means Wall Street, and unfettered access largely with minimum tariffs on their ability to export subsidized goods into the United States.
And Joe Biden on all three of those fronts has reversed course in what Donald Trump did as president.
Maybe that's why the defense, Chinese defense minister warned the Pentagon chief: Taiwan is part of China.
Yeah, yeah, it is.
They are emboldened.
They are strengthened, not only because of the sort of physical feebleness that we see with the president on a regular basis, but also because they really do believe they have this leverage over the president and his actions indicate that they, in fact, are in control.
Amazing stuff.
I got to tell you, I urge everybody, we're going to put a link on Hannity.com.
Commerce cronyism, inside deals, conflicts of interest, Chinese connections.
Unfortunately, the information and the detail is in such great specificity and depth that you really have to read it.
It's worth the read.
We'll put it on Hannity.com.
Peter Schweitzer, as usual, great work.
You're always ahead of the curve.
Thanks for sharing it with us.
Thanks for having me, Sean.
I appreciate it.
Quick break right back.
When we come back, more of the best of the Sean Hannity Show, stay tuned.
Hey there, I'm Mary Catherine Hammond.
And I'm Carol Markowitz.
We've been in political media for a long time.
Long enough to know that it's gotten, well, a little insane.
That's why we started Normally, a podcast for people who are over the hysteria and just want clarity.
We talk about the issues that actually matter to the country without panic, without yelling, and with a healthy dose of humor.
We don't take ourselves too seriously, but we do take the truth seriously.
So if you're into common sense, sanity, and some occasional sass, you're our kind of people.
Catch new episodes of Normally every Tuesday and Thursday on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you listen.

All right, on this Friday, 25 now till the top of the hour, 800-941 Sean, our number.
You want to be a part of the program?
Well, last month, we set another record, illegal immigration at our borders.
Of course, the aiding and abetting and lawbreaking is now just standard operating procedure for the Biden administration.
The big question is, how much worse will it get if they end Title 42?
Meaning, yeah, in the middle of the pandemic, we're not going to let a lot of people into the country, which they didn't pay attention to anyway.
Remember, you get preferential treatment if you're an illegal immigrant.
There's no COVID testing.
Jen Saki said they're not going to be here very long.
Here, meaning Texas or Arizona.
They're going to get free transportation to the state of their choice.
No vaccine mandates.
And then, of course, we find out free Biden telephones.
What an incentive.
Anyway, here is May Orkas from just earlier in the week saying the end of Title 42 does not mean that the border is open beginning May 23rd.
The only problem is we just had the biggest month ever in history last month.
Listen, the restrictions at our southwest border have not changed.
Single adults and families encountered will continue to be expelled where appropriate under Title 42.
And those who are unable to establish a legal basis to remain will be removed.
It is very important to note that while, of course, we are preparing for the end of Title 42 based on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's decision that it will end on May 23rd, that does not mean that the border is open beginning on May 23rd.
We continue to enforce the laws of this country.
Continue to remove individuals who do not qualify for relief under the laws of this country.
Anyway, so that's Mayorkis.
In other words, we've got a disaster coming up here.
And when you look at Title 42, and they're talking about ending it now in three days, and the recent statistics of 200, what, 35,000 illegal immigrants crossing into the border last month, how bad are they going to allow this to get?
And what an impact does it have on a country that is in a massive economic downturn like ours?
Anyway, Mark Morgan is with us, former acting CBP commissioner and heritage visiting fellow, Tom Holman, former acting ICE director, also a heritage visiting fellow.
Mark, we'll start with you.
A record last month, now lifting Title 42 means what?
Well, Sean, look, and I'm glad you mentioned about the record last month.
Like you said, almost 325,000.
Here's what's important for your listeners.
Was it 325,000?
Why did I say 235?
Maybe I messed up.
Maybe I had a Joe Biden moment.
I don't know.
No, no, it's you're right.
No, it's 224,000 that have changed.
So that's where almost a quarter of a million.
So, Sean, look, what's important for your listeners, though, is even with Title 42 has been in place for the past year and a half, we're already at a catastrophic, unmitigated crisis that we've ever had in our lifetime.
The most unsecure border in our lifetime, the highest flow of illegal immigrations in our lifetime.
So that's with Title 42 in place.
Once it goes away, it's just going to make a catastrophic crisis even worse.
The best way I can describe it is it's going to be like the Hindenburg crashing into the Titanic.
What's your take, Tom Holman?
Great to have both of you back.
But Tom, what's your take?
Well, Mark's right.
Look, we already got record numbers historically with immigration last year.
This year, we're going to beat last year's numbers by at least a half a million with Title 42.
But here's the problem.
Border Patrol is so overwhelmed.
We got over 700,000 gotaways, Sean.
Over 700,000, 67,000 just last month.
So when Title 42 gets lifted, that means more Border Patrol agents are taking off the line and processing to processing facilities.
What's that going to mean?
More gotaways, more fentanyl, more overdose deaths.
And here's the problem with the gotaways.
The Board of Patrol admitted they arrested 42 on the terrorist watch list.
So the Board of Patrols arrested people from 161 countries.
Many of those countries sponsor terrorism.
If you don't think not a single one, that 700,000 came from a country supporting terrorism and got into the United States without apprehension, then you're foolish.
You're not looking at the data.
This is a national security issue, and it's about to get a hell of a lot worse because Board of Patrol is already overwhelmed and even going to get worse.
So this is a scary time for this country.
What I don't understand is, and maybe I'm just a little too old-fashioned, Mark Morgan, is the flagrant law breaking, the aiding and abetting.
And I've asked both of you this question in the past, and you both have given me interesting answers.
But I know that if I or a group of, say, me and my friends, if we went down to the border and we helped people cross into this country illegally and then we gave them free transportation, what state would you like to go to?
Okay, we'll take you to Omaha, Nebraska, okay?
And we take people there.
I think I'd get arrested for breaking the laws on immigration.
Probably human trafficking violations and charges would be brought up against me as well, right, Mark?
Yeah, you know, Sean, you're absolutely correct.
And that's why we've been saying for a long time that what this administration is doing is, besides ignoring the law and inventing new laws, all that benefits illegal immigrants coming into this country is that they're actually complicit in finishing the last leg of the smuggling operation.
Think about that.
That all of the smugglers and cartels have to do is get them to the U.S. border, and this administration is going to take it from there, and they're going to facilitate the last leg of actually getting them to come into this country and be flown, like you said, Sean, to every town, city, and state in this country.
And look, to footstep on what Tom said, what people don't understand, this is about border security and national security.
When you have up to 80% of border tour resources that are pulled off the national security mission to be basically to finish forced to finish the last leg of that smuggling operation to be a travel agency, large areas of border wide open.
Sean, I know you've hit this hard.
The leading cause of death right now between adults 18 and 45 is fentanyl.
DEA's own reporting says 95% of the fentanyl comes from the southwest border.
Why is this a right or left thing to secure the border?
It shouldn't be.
We're losing about 300 kids a day.
That's how many we're losing.
So you're always going to find a liberal judge that is going to go along with the Biden administration.
So it's probably going to be the flipping and flopping.
And, you know, you get one opinion, you have one rule one day and one rule the next day.
And that worries me a lot, Tom Holman, because if that's the case, this is just going to continue in perpetuity.
Now, I want to be very clear about this because conservatives are lied about a lot.
They're anti-immigrant.
I'm not anti-immigrant.
I'm the product of immigration into this country.
All four of my grandparents came from Ireland.
All four.
I took an ancestry test.
I'm 100% British Isle, meaning Ireland.
And so they came here, but they came here legally.
They went through Ellis Island.
They didn't have any money in their pocket.
There's three things, three criteria that I think anybody coming into the country needs to be able to pass muster on.
One, we need a background security check to make sure that you don't have nefarious intentions or radical associations.
Two, in the middle of a pandemic, you definitely need to be tested for COVID and quarantined until we know you don't have COVID.
And number three, especially in these tough economic times, you have to have or show the means that you're going to be able to take care of yourself financially and not be a burden on the American taxpayer.
I don't think that's a stringent criteria.
Tom Holman, what do you think?
I'm absolutely with you.
And add good moral character to that.
That's the way it should be.
By the way, and then I don't care where you come from.
Welcome to America.
No, we've got people from all the world.
Like I say, we've got over 161 nationals that have crossed the borders in different countries.
But look, I'm pro-immigrant.
Now, people want to call me a racist and a white nationalist because I enforce immigration law.
But let me tell you something about Joe Biden's policy.
Everybody says, well, these are much more humane than President Trump's policies.
Wrong.
More migrants have died under the first year of Joe Biden on U.S. soil than any year in my 35-year career.
Number one.
Two, over 100,000 Americans have died from drug overdoses, much of 95% of those drugs coming across the southwest border.
Migrants have died in Mexico and the Daring Gap.
Tell me how this administration is more humane.
When President Trump took immigration to a 35, 40-year low, 83% decrease, how many lives did he save?
How many people didn't die of overdoses?
How many children didn't die drowning the river?
How many billions of dollars did the cartels not make?
President Trump's policies save lives.
A secure border saved lives.
The data clear on that.
Yeah, I mean, this is very clear on that.
I mean, and that's the whole point of this.
And this is where I think there's such deception and lying among the American people regarding this.
I find that amazing.
But, Mark, I want to be clear with you, too.
You support legal immigration.
And if you have, I don't think it's stringent, the criteria that I've laid out, it should be for anybody, any place in the world.
We only have X number of immigrants we can take into the country on any given year.
So, a background check, a health check, and a means test, meaning you're going to be able to take care of yourself and not be a burden on the American people, does not seem too stringent to me.
Sean, you're absolutely right, so is Tom.
I'm with you 100%.
And that's why we keep trying to get the narrative out there that this is about border security.
This isn't about immigration.
Look, the United States is the most generous, compassionate nation in the face of the planet when it comes to immigration.
We swear in about a million immigrants to become U.S. citizens every single year, Sean.
That's more than any other country in the globe.
So, this is about border security.
But when you allow and incentivize illegal immigration to the highest levels we've ever had in our lifetime, the more illegal immigration you have in between our ports of entry degrades our capability and our capacity to actually secure the borders, as Tom said, to stop the drug from pouring in, to stop the criminals from pouring in.
Among those 750,000 gotaways, Sean, the facts are they're murderers, rapists, pedophiles, and gang members, not to mention the national security vulnerabilities that Tom mentioned.
That's the fact.
This is about securing our borders.
Hey, we want to take a look at legal immigration and improving our policies and our pathways.
Therefore, legal, I'm all in.
Yeah, same here.
I want to thank you both for what you've done and what you do.
And as people that stand up for the rule of law, the fact that there's not been any attention paid to the fact that they're aiding and abetting the law of breaking the laws that we currently have on the books is inexplicable to me because I thought in America, you didn't get to pick and choose which laws you like and which laws you don't like.
Anyway, Tom Holman, Mark Morgan, thank you both for being with us.
800-941-Sean, our number, if you want to be a part of the program.
All right, let's get to our busy phones.
CD is in North Carolina.
CD, hi, how are you?
Glad you called.
Happy Friday.
Hey, happy Friday to see you, bud.
Yeah, love y'all show.
Love your show.
And been listening a long time.
First time I've called in, but a little bit nervous, but I'm going to see if I can get through it.
Don't be nervous.
You're talking to friends.
It's okay.
Don't worry.
Okay.
I got you, buddy.
I'm just a retired machinist from North Carolina.
So just kind of like.
Yeah, you're what makes America great.
Go ahead, sir.
Yes, sir.
I was just thinking yesterday about our old friend Rush and kind of wanted to know maybe what your thoughts were.
Mainly about politics that are going on right now, about what you think he would be thinking about the way the world's going out, mainly in the U.S.
And just get your thoughts on that.
Look, it's hard to get into it.
Rush always had this ability to give a take that nobody else thought of.
So there would be some nuance to this, but I think it's very obvious.
He would be very, very worried and concerned about this country and the direction we're headed in.
Rush was a believer in the individual.
He believed in natural rights, God-given rights.
He believed in capitalism.
He believed in our Constitution.
He believed in liberty and freedom.
I mean, he preached this every single day that he was on his show.
And God, we miss him so much.
His voice was so important.
And I think he would view this as an all-hands-on-deck moment and that we've got to write the ship.
If we don't do it in this election cycle and the next election cycle, I don't know if it becomes irreparable damage and we can never get back to where we should be.
We are hurting our children.
We're hurting our grandchildren, the poor, the middle class, people on fixed incomes are getting destroyed because of problems that were put in place by these idiotic climate alarmist religious cult cultists like Joe Biden.
And we don't have to pay, we're expected to pay now on average $6 a gallon for gasoline.
That's insane.
You know, under Donald Trump was, you know, a little over $2 a gallon.
We cannot afford it.
The average family cannot afford it.
We're giving up our freedom in the name of false security, false hope, the failure that is socialism, liberalism, redistributionism, statism, authoritarianism.
Use whatever term you want.
It always ends up the same way.
You end up with promises that are never delivered, more poverty, and more government control over your life.
And that's exactly what's happening and playing out before our eyes.
And, you know, for all those people out there, and even Republicans, oh, Donald Trump, the tweets, oh my gosh, the tweets, the tweets.
I'll take the tweets and America being energy independent and not sucking up to OPEC, Venezuela, and Iran.
I'll take the tweets and I'll take the good economy.
