This is an iHeart Podcast.
Thanks to all of you for being with us.
Toll-free, our number is 800-941 Sean.
You want to be a part of this program as we continue.
It is nothing short of an unmitigated disaster, and what we learned this weekend alone should scare the living crap out of every American.
You have John Kirby, the Pentagon spokesman says Al Qaeda and ISIS acknowledge they do have a presence.
They have a presence in Afghanistan, which contradicts other administration officials, but that's besides the point.
Then you have John Kirby, Pentagon spokesman saying, Yeah, yeah, we're hearing of sporadic cases of people being beaten on the way to the Afghanistan airport.
This is all this weekend what has unfolded.
As now we have Americans caught behind enemy lines, ostensibly hostage, you know, to the goodwill of the Taliban.
Then John Kirby won't answer the question of the Taliban deadline for evacuations.
Um, but we actually have that answer because on Sky News, the Taliban spokesperson to uh Suhel Shaheen actually said that if the evacuation deadline extends past August the 31st, it will provoke a reaction.
We learned that this weekend, too.
Because in case they weren't paying attention, because the Taliban's saying it.
Well, the UK wanted to extend the 31st of August deadline in order to continue evacuations out of the country.
Would you agree to that?
No.
No.
Why not?
This is uh something uh you can say it's a red line.
Um President Biden um announced uh uh this ignorant until uh 31st of I guess they would withdraw all their military forces.
Uh so if they extend it, that means they are extending occupation while uh there is no need uh for that.
I think it will deterate the relation uh will uh create mistrust between us.
If they are intent on continuing the occupation, so it will um uh provoke reaction.
Uh so they gave the answer, but apparently John Kirby didn't get the message because he wouldn't give an answer.
John Kirby didn't have an exact inventory of the equipment that has been seized by the Taliban, as the Taliban that now make propaganda videos.
I guess they have a Black Hawk helicopter's a number of them, but we're now the estimates are billions of dollars of military, U.S. military equipment that we left in the hands of the Taliban, because we didn't plan for this evacuation, as we watched the Taliban on the march throughout the entire country of Afghanistan.
It is the single biggest foreign policy failure that I've ever seen in my lifetime, and one of the biggest in history, if not the biggest.
We don't have an inventory of the billions of dollars of equipment.
Why didn't you make plans to evacuate it or destroy it?
You do want to take it home, don't leave it for them so that they're armed with the latest, most sophisticated military equipment on the face of the earth, including you know, our held Black Hawk helicopters.
You know, we believe, he said, John Kirby, again, Pentagon spokesperson, we believe we've evacuated several thousand Americans, but we can't say for sure.
General Hank Taylor, unaware of the Kabul embassy warning about threats outside of the airport.
Well, it's news to me.
Joe Biden was totally clueless on Friday on that question.
And you got Jake Sullivan, the National Security Advisor, he can't give a precise number of Americans in Afghanistan.
This has all happened.
This is what they're confirming this weekend.
Jake Sullivan saying, admitting that ISIS is a threat at Kabul Airport.
That's real.
ISIS is a threat.
Jake Sullivan said, well, we're communicating with the militar with the Taliban through military channels.
So everything that I told you last week, that if we get Americans home, it'll have nothing to do with Joe Biden's great planning and execution militarily.
It's with a every American and every American ally caught behind enemy lines now, is hostage to the the whims of a terrorist organization.
That is the position that Joe Biden has left them in.
And our defense secretary Lloyd Austin says had to admit, yeah, there are incidents of tough encounters, you think.
Tough is the right word, horrific encounters would be more accurate, with the Taliban while trying to get to the airport.
And Lloyd Austin, the defense secretary, saying nobody nobody predicted the Afghan government collapse in 11 days.
They were taking large areas of the country for weeks in advance of their approach to Kabul.
So the idea that they didn't know, I don't even believe, because my sources have confirmed for me that the CIA pulled their people out of there seven weeks ago, seeing what was building and likely to occur.
And I don't I don't believe that the intelligence community kept that to themselves.
I don't believe that.
There's no evidence to that point at all.
Just the opposite.
The intel community is pointing straight at Biden's White House saying, we warned you.
We told you.
Same with the defense, everybody's pointing fingers at each other now.
But ultimately, I guess the buck stops with Joe, right?
How did they not know?
We'll get to the President Donald Trump talking about calling describing this in Alabama.
Wow, what a crowd he had at Alabama.
Kamala Harris just laughed at a reporter when was asked a question about Afghanistan, which is in and of itself scary.
You have Tony Blinken was on Face the Nation and admitting the following the obvious, which we've been saying.
And if the that the Taliban has control of Kabul, if they have control of Kabul, then our fellow Americans, of which they don't know how many, are now caught behind enemy lines and ostensibly hostages to the whims of the Taliban, the terrorist organization that is saying you better not go beyond the August 31st deadline, or there's going to be real consequences.
Here's Blinken admitting it.
Someone in our audience might listen to you, Mr. Secretary, and say, Oh, so we have to ask the Taliban for permission for American citizens to leave.
True or not true.
They they are in control of Kabul.
That is the reality.
Uh that's the reality that uh that we have to deal with.
So he's now responded.
They are the Taliban are in control of Kabul.
No wonder the State Department is saying, well, you might want to think about making your way to the airport, but we cannot guarantee your safety.
Fox reporter Trey Yangst, you know, got out of them that there's no plan in place to rescue any Americans from Afghanistan.
How did we ever allow this to happen?
Listen to this question and answer.
America has the air power on the ground that they need to secure the airport in Kabul, period.
Period.
The big question is do they have the air support in the region to go and rescue Americans who cannot make it to the airport?
And you hear this over and over again from the Biden administration that there is a plan.
And the question we keep hearing, whether it's people reaching out online saying we have relatives or friends trapped in Kabul or elsewhere, they keep asking, what's the plan?
Have you heard anything?
Who can I contact to make sure that my loved ones get to the airport?
And while there is a limited plan to get countries, including the United States, on the ground here to evacuate those who can make it to the airport, there is no clear plan in place to save the thousands of Americans who are not only spread out around Kabul, but in other cities, Herat, Kandahar, smaller cities around the country.
And they have no way to get here.
This is the only way to leave Afghanistan right now, and it is surrounded by the Taliban.
Imagine what the rest of the country looks like.
Wow.
Imagine what the rest of the fight.
Now there was a report, uh, numerous reports confirming now that a deadly gunfight broke out uh at Afghanistan's main airport early today, with an Afghan guard killed and several other injured U.S. German soldiers exchanging fire with these unidentified gunmen.
Latest fatality at the airport came at 4 15 a.m. as Afghan Security forces helping secure the base, exchange fire with these attackers.
There's also apparently a sniper outside the airport and had fired at Afghan guards inside who returned fire.
So the situation around the airport is getting worse apparently by the day and by the hour.
Again, I warn you that you know we now have on tape Sky News, and now the UK independent is reporting, because I haven't heard anybody in the Biden administration say so out loud, but it's pretty clear Biden promised the Taliban our evacuations from Afghanistan will end by August 31st.
Well, are we going to get every American?
Well, we don't even know how many are there.
Are we going to get every American being held hostage behind enemy lines out by then?
Because the most significant announcement came today, and this came from a Taliban spokesman.
If the U.S. or UK were to seek additional time to continue evacuations, the answer is no.
Or there could be consequences if they are intent on continuing the occupation, it will provoke a reaction.
British official confirmed that the Taliban would have an effective veto if Western leaders taking part in a video conference of G7 Nations tomorrow managed to persuade Biden that more time is needed to get everybody the hell out of there.
So now we're on a really tight timetable as that's uh well, eight days from now.
That that doesn't give me a lot of comfort, especially considering the perimeter of the airport is even according to Tony Blinken, Kabul is controlled by the Taliban.
U.S. Embassy apparently overruled Biden, telling Americans not to travel to the airport despite his advice.
U.S. Embassy in Afghanistan issued a warning to U.S. citizens Saturday to stay away from the airport due to potential security threats outside of the airport gates.
Well, what are they what are what are people now supposed to do?
We can't guarantee safe passage.
We advise you on one day to go, you know, you might want to make your way to the airport.
Can't guarantee safe passage.
Now we're advising you.
We have no indication.
You know, this came after just hours after Biden told the people at Afghanistan the opposite, that they had no indications Americans have been able to get to the airport.
We've made arrangements with the Taliban, he said.
Okay, thus far they've allowed them to go through, contradicting so many other reports, which we've been telling you.
U.S. news companies, to their good credit, multiple media companies successfully evacuated their journalists from Afghanistan.
And they did it apparently by hiring their own people.
Britain and France had sent in troops to help define their citizens and escort them to the airport, something we didn't do.
On top of this, the UK Daily Mail reporting women are being burned to death, forced to marry Taliban fighters, and also apparently they're shipping women overseas in coffins to be used as sex slaves.
Just the latest horrors of, you know, untold in Afghanistan after five days of Taliban rule and the pledge that women could be part of the government.
One woman was set afire by Taliban fighters on Thursday, they report in the Daily Mail because they didn't like the food that they were forced to cook for the Taliban fighters.
Then you got the Taliban is now filming their execution of any anybody that they view as has helped Americans or the Allies.
The UK Sun has a horrifying video that emerged online appearing to show the Taliban brutally executing his police chief.
That was circulated on Twitter showing the top lawman who was also an Afghan war general kneeling on the ground blindfolded before being gunned down.
He had been fighting against the Taliban for decades.
He wasn't alone, according to Amnesty International.
Taliban fighters massacred nine ethnic Hazara men after they took control of the province, apparently in July.
According to eyewitnesses, six men were shot while three were tortured to death in a rural village between July 4th and July 6th.
One brave Oklahoma mother was able to rescue ten girls deep inside Afghanistan while Biden is claiming that he's powerless.
Fascinating story that MBDC News had picked up.
Remember, we had the 25,000 troops, you know, freezing in parking garages in DC.
You know, uh after what happened on January 6th.
Why do we have so few people there to help with this deadline now getting worse by the hour?
800 941 Sean, if you want to be a part of the program, we'll take a break.
We have a lot more coverage to bring you all throughout the day as we continue.
Hannity tonight at nine on the Fox News channel.
Uh news you won't get from the media mob, that we can tell you straight ahead.
Um, there's a report out that I saw today that White House staff members are apparently too afraid or afraid over the weekend to tell Biden and National Security Advisor Sullivan that they're wrong about what's going on in Afghanistan.
Quote, people are simply too afraid to tell Biden and Jake Sullivan, the national security advisor, they're wrong.
It's one thing to crack down on leaks as Mr. Biden has done.
It's another thing to allow a mistake like this, according to a former defense official who's in regular contact with the White House, quoted in the telegraph.
And this White House is very disciplined, especially when it comes to leaks and such, but the downside of the discipline is if you're running things like an autocracy and you broker no dissent internally, that's not what the purpose of a White House staff is.
Yeah, for example, Bagram Air Force Base.
You know, by the way, happens to be, you know, very safe because of where it's its location is kind of in the middle of nowhere.
Manning the air base, you know, they're claiming Biden's order to withdraw troops down to a bare minimum, manning the air base, well, that made that untenable.
That was a huge strategic error, and one that was easily prevented.
There are some uh reports of Afghan resistance fighters rolling back the Taliban north of Kabul, but you know, that that is an over that that's not a task that they're gonna be able to win.
You know, Joni Ernst is calling on Biden to stop bowing down to the Taliban.
Okay, well, that's that's gonna take, you know, a very strong military presence and the use of military force.
Problem at this late hour is what will they do to our fellow Americans?
That's where their strategic mistake is the greatest and our vulnerability is.
And on the other hand, the State Department saying we can't guarantee your safe passage to the airport.
So maybe you want to get your story straight.
Maybe you're the one and Peter Doocy is 100 percent correct.
Because they are stranded behind enemy lines.
And your own national security advisor is admitting that Kabul is controlled, literally controlled by the Taliban.
So, you know, let's not let's not play word gymnastics here or have word gymnastics here or the parsing of words.
They're trapped behind enemy lines.
At the mercy of the Taliban, a terrorist organization.
And your own officials, national security officials are admitting that there's an ISIS presence at the airport in and around the perimeter of the airport, also.
So stop lying to the American people.
And Joe's saying over and over again, I can't, we we factored in this chaos.
We we knew this wouldn't be easy.
Well, why didn't you secure the perimeter yourself?
Why didn't you identify every American knowing that you had given this date that was in Afghanistan?
Why didn't you keep a stronger military presence to escort these people to the airport, to keep pathways open to the airport?
You know, we're in constant touch with the Taliban.
The upper hand is theirs.
It's obvious you gave it to them.
They're now at the mercy of a terrorist organization.
About as, you know, are they being held hostage in the traditional sense?
No, but if they can't get to the airport safely, they're pretty much hostages behind, caught behind enemy lines.
There's no other way to spin that.
Defense Secretary Austin is confirming that fleeing Americans are being beaten by Taliban fighters.
Maybe they should listen to their own officials.
I outlined everything they said over the weekend.
Confirming Americans in Afghanistan are being assaulted by Taliban insurgents.
Lloyd Austin telling members of Congress on a conference call that Americans attempting to evacuate have been beaten by the Taliban.
Directly contradicting the comments made earlier in the day by Biden when he asserted that U.S. citizens were not being blocked from the airport.
That was just a lie.
Strikingly, you know, just more concerned tone-wise than the commander in chief.
Austin called the abuse of Americans unacceptable.
Okay, well, what are you going to do about it?
Because they've got full control of the situation now.
But at least the Pentagon, John Kirby even admitted we know of a number of cases where some Americans, he says it's small, have been harassed and in some cases beaten.
Beaten.
Those are his words.
U.S. is now warning ISIS.
Okay, I'm sure they're going to take this seriously.
You know, uh warns the Islamic State threat to Americans in Afghanistan.
That's from the Wall Street Journal.
U.S. has warned the Islamic State poses a threat to Americans in Afghanistan as the Biden administration seeks to evacuate thousands of U.S. citizens and Afghan allies.
The threat is real, it is acute, it is persistent, and it is something we're focused on with every tool in our arsenal.
Jake Sullivan, Biden's national security advisor, said on Sunday.
When asked whether crowds at Kabul International Airport were vulnerable to terrorist attacks.
We know that terrorists may seek to exploit the situation and target innocent Afghans or American troops.
We're maintaining constant vigilance to monitor and disrupt threats from any source.
Okay, so are they stranded?
Are they are they trapped?
Yeah, it sounds like they're trapped to me.
They're being told that different points just don't try to attempt to get to the airport, but then try, but we can't guarantee your safety.
I mean, it's it's you can't make this up.
Even MSN.com.
ISIS is a threat.
Forces U.S. changes evacuation plans.
Potential Islamic State threats against Americans in Afghanistan are forcing the U.S. military to develop new ways to get evacuees to the airport.
The officials said small groups of Americans and other civilians will be given specific instructions on what to do, including movement to transit points where they are gathered up by the military.
The official spoke on the condition of anonymity, but as of now, some some text messages say follow us on Twitter and Facebook, and we uh we uh you might want to make your way to the airport, but don't make it now.
That changes.
And when you do make it, we can't guarantee your safety.
U.S. most wanted Al Qaeda terrorists has now reappeared in Kabul alongside the Taliban with five million dollars of a bounty on his head.
Al Qaeda terrorist Khalil, I don't know how to say his last name, Hakani pledging a new era of Afghanistan.
As he was uh seen leading prayers for Taliban fighters at a mosque in the Afghan capital on Friday in front of adoring fans.
He's been blamed for some of the deadliest terrorist attacks across the world in recent years, claiming the lives of civilians, government officials, and foreign forces.
They've been designated a foreign terrorist group by the U.S. and the jihadists are also under U.N. sanctions.
I'm sure that's gonna help a lot.
I told you earlier about the fire fight involving U.S. forces that erupted at Kabul airport.
Taliban reportedly set this woman on fire because they were dissatisfied with their cooking.
I told you about that report.
French planes now are firing off flares when they take off due to the presence of ISIS on the ground near the airport.
And of course, we left all of our equipment there, our military equipment for the Taliban to seize because we weren't smart enough to plan to evacuate it, take it home, or destroy it.
One or the other.
You don't really have any other options.
And by the way, we're learning from the New York Post that 20 years after the 9-11 attacks, U.S. intelligence documents reveal 229 rehab former Gitmo and detainees have returned to terrorism, and an alarming 66% of them have not been recaptured and are still at large.
That's the news from Lake Wobagon where all the women are strong, all the men are good looking, and all the children are above average.
Garrison Keeler, if you might remember him.
You know, and I can't even begin to get into even, well, finally, our friends at National Review that so hated Donald Trump.
Something is wrong with President Biden.
Yeah, really?
You figuring that out finally?
The latest security alert, one of the latest ones that we had from the State Department, is do not call the embassy in Kabul for details or updates about flights.
This form is the only way to communicate any interest in flight options.
This is what they're sending out to people on the ground.
Because the potential security threats outside the gates at Karzai International Airport were advising U.S. citizens to avoid traveling to the airport and avoid airport gates at this time.
That was on Saturday.
After all week, they've been telling them make your way to the airport, but we can't guarantee your safety.
Now they were telling people don't travel there over the weekend.
U.S. citizens requiring assistance departing the country who have not yet completed their repatriation assistance request for each traveler in their group should do so as soon as possible.
Don't call the embassy in Kabul for details or updates.
That's right, they took everyone out of there.
We will contact registered U.S. citizens as the security situation changes.
Be aware of your surroundings at all times, especially large crowds.
Follow instructions of local authorities, including movement restrictions related to curfews.
Have a contingency plan for emergencies and review the travelers checklist.
That give you a lot of comfort.
Doesn't give me much comfort.
Be aware of your surroundings.
Be careful of curfews.
U.S. telling Americans to avoid traveling because of potential security threats.
That was Saturday.
There is a Daily Caller report.
Biden said Friday's administration provided support for the evacuation of the French embassy in Kabul.
American citizens were informed as of the middle of last week to late last week that the embassy in Kabul and the Biden administration can't ensure their safety to the airport.
He said it wasn't necessary, Biden suggested last Friday to send U.S. troops to help escort citizens, American citizens stuck in the city to the airport because he made an agreement with the Taliban.
He's still never been asked or had to answer why do you trust them?
Do you still trust them?
And on the other hand, Biden is urging the Taliban to provide for the well-being of Afghans.
Oh, okay.
They're going door to door, Joe.
They're identifying every single solitary person that they can that that allied with our forces, and they're going to murder every last one of them because they already are.
Tony Blair slamming the United States, pull out his imbecilic.
He said just, you know, he's saying the move has every jihadist group around the world celebrating the abandonment of Afghanistan and its people is tragic, dangerous, unnecessary, not in their interest, not in ours, he wrote in a lengthy post that he put out.
The world is now uncertain of where the West stands because it's, you know, so obvious they've botched this whole thing top to bottom.
By the way, zero accountability.
Joe Biden plans no firings over this.
I know his poll numbers are dipping, but does it really matter?
How do we get Americans home?
That's my main focus.
You know, it's um it's just unbelievable that this is all happening.
You know, by the way, there was one exchange with Gen Saki.
I saw this posted somewhere, I forget where.
Um, was asked about Biden's past.
He did a terrible job and about, you know, why did they release the this guy that's now heading up the Taliban?
I was in the Biden Obama administration.
Well, Donald Trump let out some of the Taliban.
Donald Trump had, I've now confirmed with multiple sources, Mike Pompeo last week.
And Mark Meadows, and the president last week, former President Trump.
Confirmed with all of them.
Before they discussed any deal, it was if you dare not follow through on every comma and every period in this thing, I'll I'll obliterate you.
And they believed him.
Last year, year and a half of the Trump administration, not a single American lost their life there.
Not one.
They didn't try this in the Bush in the Trump era.
You know, it's there's more lies, there's more misinformation, more propaganda.
By the way, Harris was laughed, just starts laughing and shuts down a question when asked about Afghanistan.
Chuck Schumer's out dancing with Stephen Colbert while Americans and our allies are stranded.
Nancy Pelosi filmed at a lavish, sun soaked Napa Valley fundraising brunch this weekend.
Tickets were $29,000 each.
No social distancing.
No masks.
Just saying.
The chaos is real there.
The Taliban will apparently is now refusing to extend the deadline of August 31st.
The rise of ISIS.
Blinken reiterating that Americans, you're on your own to get to the airport.
He said this weekend.
He said Americans, you know, leaving Americans to get to the Kabul Airport on their own is the best way to do this, he said.
Really?
That's the best way?
Because I can think of a million other ways.
How about we have our military escort them there?
Taliban chiefs, including Al Qaeda linked terrorists in Kabul.
They're in negotiations for their new government.
You know, no Biden firings.
Elite Taliban units wearing U.S. gear, mocking the iconic image at Iwo Jima.
Talaman shows off more of their American gear and equipment.
Now reports that they got Black Hawk helicopters.
God knows how many.
I've seen reports that the numbers are astronomical, and then some that say there's just a few.
I don't know.
I don't have a direct answer on it.
But all of it's scary.
Apparently that, but the scariest part is they refuse to extend the deadline.
That's not good.
What do you tell your family members, your loved ones that are trapped behind enemy lines right now?
I don't know what to tell you.
We'll come back, we'll check in with Jim Banks of Indiana.
We have a great Hannity tonight.
Later on, Army Captain Sam Brown, Tyler Merritt.
We got every angle covered tonight at nine.
