| This is an iHeart Podcast. | |
| Do you think I'm right? | |
| Do you agree with me most Americans don't really know what the agenda is and that this election wasn't really won on ideas? | |
| It was sort of like the Republicans are, well, they're not that party. | |
| They're not Obama's party. | |
| Yeah, I think we mostly won by default because of how we had some good candidates, but we mostly won by default because the president has this overreaching European vision of a central government that can solve every problem. | |
| It's not true. | |
| The American people reject it. | |
| And I'm thinking, you know what? | |
| We could do a lot better. | |
| And I think that the Republican Party ought to stand for those people that are out of work. | |
| That's exactly. | |
| Congratulations on your indictment, inductment, and being inducted into the Senate Hall of Fame there. | |
| Let me disassociate myself from the indictment word. | |
| I'm teasing. | |
| I'm teasing. | |
| Thanks. | |
| Good to be on. | |
| Good to have you. | |
| All right, Senator. | |
| Good to talk to you. | |
| All the best. | |
| Congratulations. | |
| Thanks, John. | |
| Have a good day. | |
| You can explain what it is that a Republican stands for today because I don't think most people know. | |
| Amen. | |
| You and I have talked about your big five in the past, and I'm aligned with you on them with school choice and the border and free market health care solutions. | |
| But your word agenda is exactly right. | |
| Like you, I'm a limited government, small government guy. | |
| Most of my lived in Washington and can't be solved here. | |
| I'm glad to hear you've only been in Washington a month. | |
| You still haven't been corrupted because you're still speaking out. | |
| I mean, that's a very good sign for the future for you. | |
| And I say that cynically, of course. | |
| He ought to be voting based on the Constitution, our rule of law, and what's right, and not worrying about, you know, whatever legacy he may have as Chief Justice. | |
| I agree with you. | |
| And I'm frustrated as a conservative. | |
| Tell me why I shouldn't be, if I shouldn't be. | |
| No, you should be. | |
| Why don't we just go stick with the Constitution? | |
| Sean, you and I are 100% aligned in being for the Constitution. | |
| All right. | |
| I got to run, though, Senator. | |
| Thank you for your update. | |
| We appreciate it. | |
| Thanks, Sean. | |
| Aren't there legal challenges then that we have available to us that the president doesn't have the constitutional authority to do something? | |
| Yeah, I'm with you, and we should pursue anything and everything. | |
| It should be an all of the above strategy. |
