Morning Minute: What Is Acceptable? - 1.11

Monday was Law Enforcement Day in Washington D.C. and somewhat ironically, Congressman Lacy Clay reportedly called Capitol Police to inquire about filing criminal charges against Congressman Duncan Hunter.  Congressman Hunter is the man who, earlier this week, decided to remove a portrait depicting police officers as pigs from the halls of Congress.  Not surprisingly, there were no charges filed.  Learn more about your ad-choices at https://www.iheartpodcastnetwork.comSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

So last week our friend Congressman Duncan Hunter, California, proved himself once again to be a stalwart supporter of our nation's law enforcement officers.
Democratic Congressman Lacey Clay chose to hung up a painting that portrayed police officers as pigs and hung it in the hallway of the U.S. Capitol building.
Well, Duncan Hunter took it upon himself to remove the painting and return it to Clay's office.
And according to our friend Carrie Pickett of the Daily Caller, this move by Hunter did not go without pushback.
Ironically, on Monday, which was Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, Congressman Clay's office, they call Capitol Police to inquire about filing charges against Duncan Hunter for standing up for police officers.
Needless to say, Clay's office claims that police have not been helpful to the Congressman in his request to file charges against the California representative.
Clear we need more people like Duncan Hunter.
Good for him on Capitol Hill.
