Time Text
The Stone Zone with legendary Republican strategist and political icon and pundit Roger Stone.
Stone has served as a senior campaign aide to three Republican presidents.
He is a New York Times best-selling author and a longtime friend and advisor of President Donald Trump.
As an outspoken libertarian, Stone has appeared on thousands of broadcasts, spoken at countless venues, and lectured before the prestigious Oxford Political Union and the Cambridge Union Society.
Due to his four plus decades in the political and cultural arena, Stone has become a pop culture icon.
And now here's your host, Roger Stone.
Welcome, I'm Roger Stone, and yes, you are back in the Stone Zone.
Today, we're going to focus in the first part of the show on the U.S.
Senate race in Utah, one of the most important races in the country.
There has been a MAGA upheaval in that race, and we're going to tell you all about it.
Joining me now to help break that down and also talk about the political events of the day, and later on we represent, we interview Michael Nixon, candidate for the Republican nomination in the 3rd Congressional District of Georgia.
So, we have two great candidates today, candidates deserving of your support, and I hope you will hang on to listen to that.
First, I bring my regular co-host, Troy Smith, the editor-in-chief of Slingshot.News.
Roger, it's an honor to be here.
We're hitting both houses of Congress today.
Let's do it.
So, Troy, to be honest with you, Mitt Romney, I've never been a fan of Mitt Romney.
When Mitt Romney was nominated by the Republican Party in 2012, I actually left the party of Lincoln.
I was so concerned that Mitt Romney was not in any way a conservative in the traditional sense that I could not support his candidacy.
I also knew, of course, about his family history.
His father, George Romney, who had been governor of Michigan, long time independent before he became a Republican, had refused to endorse Barry Goldwater in the 1964 presidential contest.
Mitt Romney, of course, had run in Massachusetts as a Republican after spending most of his adult life as an independent.
For the U.S.
Senate against Ted Kennedy.
People don't remember this, but he ran as a proponent of abortion on demand and of same-sex marriage.
That was 1978.
Many people have forgotten it.
He would later become elected governor of Massachusetts, serving in that position for two terms.
When he decided to run for the U.S.
Senate in Utah, a state in which he had a vacation home, a state in which he certainly had family roots, but not really a state that he lived in, he prevailed upon President Donald Trump to clear the Republican Senate primary field.
I believe it was the Republican attorney general who had been planning to run for the Senate.
He was a Trump supporter, but Trump ultimately agreed to clear the field for Mitt Romney, and he actually endorsed Mitt Romney in that Senate primary contest just six years ago.
It was very clear, based on Mitt Romney's treachery and the fact that he was one of, I believe, only two Republicans to vote for one of the articles of impeachment against President Trump, and undermining him at every term, that Mitt Romney was out in the open as an opponent to the President, acting more like a Democrat than a Republican.
Back in Utah, nobody wanted to step forward to challenge Mitt Romney because Mitt Romney had unlimited campaign funds at his disposal.
Between his personal wealth and his ability to tap into special interest money, nobody wanted to take on this fight.
Except for one man, Trent Staggs.
Trent Staggs was a prominent mayor, but certainly not a household name in Utah.
But when no other principled MAGA Republican would step forward, well, Mayor Trent Stagg did declare his candidacy.
The first time Trent Stagg was on this show, he was a long shot candidate against Mitt Romney.
A lot has happened since then.
Mitt Romney withdrew from the race.
Mayor Trent Staggs has been endorsed by President Donald Trump.
Mayor Staggs sweepingly won the Republican State Convention endorsement on the 25th, and it is very clear that he is heading now for a bruising, but I think successful, primary.
To talk about all of this, Mayor Trent Staggs joins us now.
There he is.
Roger, hey, it's great to be with you.
Thank you so much.
Love the analysis, and I can't disagree.
I mean, back in the day when you and I first spoke, right, considered a bit of a long shot.
We were the only ones to challenge Mitt Romney back in May of last year.
That was my stated goal.
I said, we need to unseat this guy.
Not only has he not held to his promises that he ran on back in 2018, but, you know, the way in which he has been so petulantly opposed to President Trump It's just, it's unbecoming and not something we want to see here in the state of Utah.
And so, yeah, made that announcement.
Nobody else came into the race until around October when Mitch said he wasn't going to seek re-election.
And when we first announced, he was at about 50% favorability still amongst Republican primary voters.
After putting out our launch video that reminded everybody of these promises he made, you know, he claimed he was going to end illegal immigration, he balanced the budget, he'd stopped federal spending and overreach, and he'd confirmed conservative justices.
His record is just the opposite.
He's rarely here, as you indicated.
He doesn't really have a lengthy history in Utah.
And the fact that the representation was also pretty weak, you know, just, I think we were We were reminding people of that and Utahns remembered.
And after having a million plus views of our launch video and being on great shows like yours where, you know, people were reminded of the fact of his record, he went down to a good 30% favorability in the polls.
And we're just, we're feeling very, very fortunate to have all the support that we have, and especially to have the endorsement of President Trump.
You've worked very, very hard to get to where you are.
I know there were days in which it looked bleak.
You took on a long shot that nobody else would do.
Now, of course, that Mitt Romney has withdrawn, well, candidates are coming out of the woodwork, but none of them are Trump Republicans.
None of them are MAGA candidates.
I'm not asking you to attack your opponents, but give us a quick rundown of who else is now seeking this seat.
Well, and the unfortunate thing, Roger, is that pre-2014 in this state, I would automatically be the nominee.
I'd be in the general.
And you know, in Utah, we don't have competitive generals.
I mean, we'll win, Republicans historically, they'll win 10, 15 points in a general election.
And so, the way that our caucus convention system used to work, And what got us great people like Mike Lee elected back in 2010 is that if you receive 60% of the delegate support, you were automatically the Republican nominee went straight to the general.
We got 70% on Saturday.
70%!
It was historic.
I mean, we've never seen an open Senate seat garner that kind of delegate support.
So, we should be Right now, the nominee, but in 2014, after Mike Lee unseated a three-term incumbent Senator Bob Bennett, the establishment here got scared.
They passed what I call the Rhino Protection Act, and they allow people to gather signatures, go out and buy their way on the ballot, and force a primary, irrespective of the outcome of the convention.
And so, that's the landscape right now, is that I won, you know, overwhelmingly the convention, should be the only nominee.
Uh, or should be the nominee.
But there are three people that gathered signatures.
One of which is Congressman John Curtis.
Um, we know Congressman Curtis is, has not been a lifelong Republican.
He was chair of the Utah County Democratic Party for a period of time.
Uh, he was one of 30 Republicans or so that voted for the January 6th committee.
Uh, he supported the impeachment inquiry of President Trump.
He censured President Trump on the House floor.
And he also chairs a climate caucus.
Um, you know, I took an oil and gas company, an energy company public.
I've got the endorsement among many others of the Oil and Gas Workers Association.
I'm not going to be subscribing to climate alarmism at, you know, in any sense.
Um, he's the, probably the main competitor, the one with the most name ID as a current, as a current congressman.
Um, another individual that made his way on the ballot by buying his way on the ballot is, uh, our former state speaker of the house.
Um, you know, he's, he's not well known.
He spent three and a half million dollars already in his campaign and pulling, you know, we're pulling ahead and, uh, had a very convincing win at the convention over, over him.
And then there's another gentleman, a third one, a businessman who, uh, really has no No political background whatsoever.
Announced his candidacy three months ago and has a little bit of money that he has thrown in it already.
And so those are the three people, in addition to myself, they'll be on the primary ballot.
And yeah, June 25th is it.
It's kind of a short window.
And so we're cranking up after that great endorsement by President Trump on Saturday.
I spoke to him again on Sunday to let him know the convention results and he's happy to hear that.
Folks, if you're just tuning in, we're here with Mayor Trent Staggs, who has just gotten the endorsement of President Donald Trump for the U.S.
election is effectively our Republican primary election.
And winning this in the next seven, eight weeks is going to all but guarantee that we will be the next senator here in the state of Utah.
Folks, if you're just tuning in, we're here with Mayor Trent Staggs, who has just gotten the endorsement of President Donald Trump for the U.S. Senate, who won a smashing victory last Saturday at the Utah Republican State Convention, now goes on to a primary.
When we come back, we're going to talk about how you can help him win that primary, because we need men like Trent Staggs to help Donald Trump in the U.S. Senate.
So stand by for this commercial message, and we'll be right back with more of Mayor Trent Staggs, the next U.S. senator from the state of Utah.
Thank you.

If you're just tuning in, I'm Roger Stone, and this is, yet again, The Stone Zone.
I'm here with my co-host, Troy Smith, the Editor-in-Chief of Slingshot.News.
If you're not subscribed to Slingshot.News, well, you need to.
It's absolutely free, and you can get cutting-edge information of what's happening in America in politics and culture every single day.
We're also here with Mayor Trent Trent Staggs, who is on his way to being the U.S.
Senator from Utah.
It has been a long, tortured path.
Let's put up President Trump's strong endorsement of Trent Staggs.
There it is, folks.
Trent Staggs is 100% MAGA and is running to fill the Mitt Romney seat, a total loser, as the next Senator from the great state of Utah.
A highly successful entrepreneur who has served brilliantly as mayor of Riverton for the past six years.
Trent knows how to create jobs, stop inflation, grow the economy, and secure our border.
As your next senator, Trent will help us unleash American energy, support our military and vets, and protect our always under siege Second Amendment.
Trent Staggs has my complete and total endorsement And he will be a great senator and never let you down.
That is a warm and valuable testimony.
We're going to see, Trent, exactly how potent the Trump endorsement is in the Republican primary.
In the 45 years that I've been in American politics, and I've studied polling, you know, all my adult life, there's never been an endorsement that packs the kind of wallop That Donald Trump's does.
Normally support is not transferable, but there's one exception to that rule.
That is the Trump exception.
So I think despite the fact that you no doubt will go into the June 25th primary with lesser dollars than your opponents, you have something more valuable than money, the Trump endorsement.
However, there's an obvious conundrum.
If everybody doesn't know that President Trump has endorsed you, well then it cannot have its full impact.
So, what do you think you have to raise between now and the primary?
These are daunting numbers, folks.
Running for office is very expensive in America today.
It is.
The good news, however, and like you said, yeah, that Trump endorsement is a currency in and of itself, and a very valuable one.
So, I don't think we need to match what opponents have put up, but Utah has 3.2 million people in the state, and we've raised around a million dollars to date in this 11 months that we've been campaigning.
Yesterday was a very successful day, and over the weekend, getting that Trump endorsement and winning so resoundingly at convention.
Um, but we, we think we need at least another million dollars here.
Uh, in the campaign, there are some, uh, some PACs that have approached us that want to support because we know that Congressman Curtis has some support from outside PACs.
Um, and, and the, the, the fortunate thing with Utah having just 3 million people, it was anticipated that we would need around 3 million to $5 million To win this race in total money spent, and that seems to scan with elections from the past.
And, you know, when you put that into context, when you're looking at it outside the state of Utah, I know so many other Senate races right now that are incredibly, incredibly expensive, you know, much more than that.
So it's quite the bargain to be able to get A constitutional conservative and America's first senator in there to replace Mitt Romney, folks.
This is a flip.
I mean, it could be viewed effectively as a flip from almost a Democratic seat here.
Have somebody go back there, work with Mike Lee, not be canceling out his vote with respect to important matters.
I've committed also to join the Executive Steering Committee, which is like the Freedom Caucus equivalent of the Senate, when Senator Tuberville Came out here and endorsed my candidacy.
He said, look, we've got to have people in there that are going to support President Trump.
We need them in office.
But right now there are only about 18 of the 49 senators, Republicans, that are really part of this committee.
And we've got to have the majority within our own caucus so that we ensure that we don't elect a Mitch McConnell 2.0 as the next Senate majority leader here in January.
And that we are able to advance that America First agenda and work Folks, I'm going to put up the graphic where you can go to make a contribution to Trent Stagg's campaign.
2016, early 2017, in President Trump's first term that we're not supportive.
And that's why, unfortunately, we didn't get the border wall finished.
There were a number of things that we weren't able to do.
And we've got to get back there and support President Trump day one.
Folks, I'm going to put up the graphic where you can go to make a contribution to Trent Stagg's campaign.
Let's put that up full screen.
If we could, there it is, trentstagg.com.
Pretty easy to remember, folks, trentstagg.com.
Please go to his website and make your maximum contribution.
As the mayor just said, the vote per person is far less expensive in Utah than certain other states.
Here's an opportunity to elect a solid pro-Trump, America first Republican to the U.S.
Senate, and even better, replace Mitt Romney while we are doing it.
Troy, I'm going to ask you if you have a final question for the mayor, and then we're going to move along.
Troy?
Absolutely.
So, you know, we've seen so much talked about with this foreign aid package and just as kind of like a preview for what we would be seeing with Senator Skaggs.
Can you tell us how you would have voted on this most recent foreign aid package that included money to Israel, Taiwan, and Ukraine?
Yeah, I think they separated it out.
I mean, I've been very consistent.
I'm a no vote on Ukraine.
We've sent over $130 billion there, another $60 billion.
Does anybody think it's really going to work?
Uh, and all we did, you know, I had Charlie Kirk out here the other week we were campaigning and all that did is basically give a win to Biden.
Um, it delayed what would have caused, I think, him a serious issue right before the election.
And so I'm, I'm really disappointed that, that, uh, that was voted upon and passed also, uh, with, with things like FISA 702, uh, continuing unwarrantless spying.
Un-Americans, I think, is absurd.
It's a violation of our Fourth Amendment rights and wouldn't be in support of that.
I have been very supportive of Israel.
I think that we helped create that state post-World War II.
We've got some obligations currently.
I think there's a 10-year security agreement that's $38 billion.
We want to continue to support Israel, ensure that they remain free.
I think what President Trump did so successfully with them is to Trying to normalize relations with other countries and entering into the Abraham Accords.
I would love to see an expansion of those types of deals and efforts.
And I think doing that will make Israel itself also less dependent on American dollars going forward.
But we've got a huge issue.
We're $35 trillion in debt.
When I announced my candidacy it was $32 trillion in debt.
All estimates are showing that we could be at $50 trillion in debt by 2030.
So that's within the term of this Senate seat that's now being decided.
And once we do, that's going to trigger hyperinflation.
Asset bases are going to be seriously under fire, and those living on a fixed income in particular.
Going to be hard hit.
And so we've got to have people that are serious.
That's why I've committed.
I wrote a contract with Utah back in October last fall where I said, I will not vote for an omnibus spending bill.
For example, we can't do it.
We've got to get back to process.
Senator Lee has called the firm, the two leaders in the Senate and in the House.
It's leadership gets together.
They go in a back room, they cobble together a thousand page plus piece of legislation.
Put it on the desk of members of Congress and expect them to pass it.
That's not the way we need to do business.
We've got to have our budgetary order back to 12 appropriations subcommittees where each one's producing its budget with opportunity for debate and amendment amongst our elected officials.
And so until we get back to that process, we're never going to get back to a balanced budget, which we haven't had since 2001.
And we need to get back there and stop digging the hole ASAP.
All right, we're going to put that graphic up one more time.
TrentStags.com.
TrentStags.com, folks.
Please open your wallets, go to the website, make a generous contribution.
This is one of the most important U.S.
Senate races in the country.
President Donald Trump has made his position known.
We read you his endorsement today.
I'm hopeful that the president will get to Utah to campaign for you, although he's Kind of jammed up in New York right now.
So thank you, Mayor Trent Staggs, for joining us today in the Stone Zone.
You have an open invitation to come back anytime between now and the primary.
We want to do everything we possibly can to help you across the finish line.
Thank you, Mayor.
Thank you, Roger.
I appreciate it.
You've been a supporter from day one, and that early support, like you said, we had no idea we'd be in the situation we are today, but it's early support like yourself that's got us here, so thank you so much.
Many thanks.
All right, Troy, that guy's headed to the U.S.
Senate.
Again, he has the most valuable thing you could possibly have in the upcoming Republican primary.
The strong and full-throated endorsement of Donald Trump.
But he's got to have enough money to publicize that, enough money so that people know that.
He's up against some very wealthy rhino candidates, candidates who are not in any way perceived to be, never mind Trump supporters, not conservatives, never mind Trump supporters.
So it's important that folks do support his candidacy.
We'll probably have him back on before the primary yet again.
Developments this morning in the Trump trial in New York City.
This is the so-called hush money trial.
This is a matter in which the federal investigators, the U.S.
attorney did a full investigation, found no violation of law.
In these financial transactions by Michael Cohen, the Federal Election Commission also conducted investigation, found no violation of law, yet the local Manhattan County District Attorney has created a crime out of thin air when there is no underlying crime.
Excellent presentation by the criminal defense attorney David Schoen the other evening when he went on Fox that I saw.
We may play that for you tomorrow, but what happened this morning?
Well, this morning, Roger, we got news that President Trump has been fined $9,000 by Judge Murchan, who we know we've talked about on this show.
Murchan has a daughter that's benefiting from this trial monetarily, pretty disgusting, and has kind of rejected all of the attempts by the Trump team to say, look, there's a conflict of interest here.
And now we have action, Roger.
We have the headlines.
We can put up that Trump was fined $9,000 for each instance.
Now, this goes a little further.
It's being reported that Trump was also warned in the decision to fine him for $9,000, which, by the way, was for apparently nine separate instances of violating his gag order, totaling $1,000 apiece.
Merchant also warned Trump in the decision that he would not tolerate further violations of the order and said, if necessary and appropriate, under the circumstances, he would impose an incarceratory punishment on the former president.
So, not only is Trump fined $9,000 for violating an illegal gag order, but he's also being threatened with jail time this morning.
Roger, your thoughts on that?
Deja vu all over again.
In my case, the judge made it very clear that if I violated the gag order in my case, which was unconstitutional, that I would be immediately incarcerated.
Let's remember, this is the same judge who incarcerated Paul Manafort for almost 18 months Prior to his being convicted of anything.
So these are the heavy-handed tactics of the authoritarian left.
And I think anyone looking at this trial recognizes that this is a setup.
That the deep state and those who are employing a strategy of lawfare against the president Realize that their documents case in South Florida is falling apart.
The more the judge unredacts, the more she uncovers, the more it looks like a conspiracy to set Trump up.
Oh, the GSA and the National Archives The arguments were made before the Supreme Court regarding immunity.
And then when it arrived there said, oh, Trump is in possession of these confidential documents, documents that they sent him.
It really smells pretty bad.
The arguments were made before the Supreme Court regarding immunity.
We're going to find out very shortly whether the president has immunity as regards the January 6th charges that have been brought against him by special counsel Jack Smith.
I've given up trying to guess what the U.S. Supreme Court is going to do at any given time.
We're waiting for our guest, Michael Nixon, who is running for Congress in the 3rd District of Georgia to join us.
I'm here with my co-host, Troy Smith from Slingshot.News.

Sounds rolling.
- Sound's rolling, all three cameras, we're good.
- And your speed.
- Is there any regrets that you have in life?
I should sit here and say, yeah, I got a lot of regrets.
But when I look back on my life, and I understand the lives that were lost, I mean, I'm sitting here with them.
And I can tell my story.
Former National Security Advisor, Lt.
Gen.
Michael Flynn, pleading guilty today to lying to the FBI.
He was one of the most respected generals in the military.
He was, by definition, the most dangerous possible person for Donald Trump to hire.
He had a brilliant military career, serving the troops.
Why was he being so elusive?
Mike Glenn, hope true and face life in person.
A lot of people are having great success with a weight management program with Bella Trim, but it's just a tool.
In terms of ingredients, Chromex or Chromium Picolini improves the actions of insulin, so you have better glucose management, and in addition, it promotes fat utilization.
Fat utilization or fat burning is also a feature of metabolite, which are two botanicals that stimulate a switch called AMP kinase.
And so you tend to burn fat, reduce belly fat or visceral fat.
Who doesn't want that?
Metabolite has the ability to stimulate satiety or reduce those cravings.
That's really very, very important.
And it does that by raising GLP-1 levels.
In addition, we've addressed the microbiome by using prebiotics.
healthier microbiome, better weight management.
Welcome back, folks.
If you're just tuning in, I'm Roger Stone, and yes, this is The Stone Zone.
I'm here with my regular co-host, Troy Smith, the editor-in-chief of Slingshot.News.
One of the things we have always tried to do here at The Stone Zone is to showcase young conservative candidates for Congress or the Senate.
We don't go with the favorites.
We don't go with the frontrunners.
We go with those who We agree with those who we think would be excellent in the Congress.
I personally prefer MAGA candidates, America First Republicans, because frankly I think our biggest problem in Washington today is not the socialist, Marxist, left-wing Democrats, but the feckless, gutless
We need lily-livered establishment Republicans who don't seem to be willing to fight over anything, whether it is the FISA program, whether it is more billions in funding for Ukraine, whether it is billions in new spending that's passed in the flash of an eye.
We need fighters in the lower house.
That's why the campaign of Michael Nixon came to my attention.
No, it's not just that his name is Nixon, although I do think Nixon's the one.
Anyway, Michael Nixon, candidate for the Republican nomination for Congress in the 2nd District of Georgia, joins us now.
Thank you, Roger, and I do agree, Nixon is the one.
There you go.
Look, this is very uphill.
I've often said that I admire the people who get in the arena, not the people, paraphrasing Theodore Roosevelt, paraphrasing Richard Nixon, not the guy who stands on the sidelines and points out how the doer of deeds could have done them better.
or points out when the strong man stumbles, but the man who actually gets into the arena and who struggles, you know, daringly to achieve the great.
I can go get the actual quoting, It's actually the beginning of every one of my books.
I admire it so much.
But what persuaded you?
You're not a career politician.
You haven't come up through the chairs of politics.
What persuaded you to run for Congress?
Absolutely.
Thank you, Roger, for that question.
Now, as you said, I am not a career politician, and so I spent my life early on in the military.
I joined the Air Force.
I was active duty Air Force, and then active duty Navy immediately after that.
Between those two terms of enlistment, I did three deployments to the Middle East.
While I was there, I saw what dictatorships and what communism did to countries and just kind of let them ravage, and I thought that the United States of America was 100 years away from that ever happening here at home.
And in 2011, I got out of the Navy.
I came back to South Georgia to raise my family.
And then in the last several years, when Obama was in office and was dividing the country, it was starting that slippery slope of you kind of saw on the horizon a In America that you didn't think we would ever be stepping into.
And then an amazing thing happened.
Trump became president.
And then the ship aligned.
We started heading back to American First values.
Things started doing so much better overall.
Even to the point where I had friends in the military, you know, calling me up saying the military is returning back to its heyday of what it was 20 years ago.
And so I did join back in the Air National Guard under the Trump administration.
Only to be living in that same military now under the Biden administration, and we have started a slippery slope into an America that is no longer holding American values.
We have countries that are laughing at us.
It is embarrassing to show your face on the foreign spectrum representing This country and what it has came to.
And so now I have three sons that I have raised.
My youngest is about to graduate high school and he's about to enter this world that has become so corrupt that we've taken the blindfold off our judicial system and we're using it to better the powers to be in the administration right now.
And it saddens me that we don't have these voices in Congress and in the House that's stepping up and trying to fight for Trump, with Trump.
And so I believe we need people with the voices of the veterans serving in the House, and I believe that we need people with an American First mindset, and somebody that's going to get in there and rally the troops for Trump.
We need to protect our Commander-in-Chief, and we need to do everything we can to make sure that Very, very well said.
back in the Oval Office and support him 100% while he's there.
And I'm tired of seeing these spineless Republicans and all these spineless politicians that are not doing that and rallying to his side and giving him the aid that he needs and being as vocal as they can, that this is just an abuse of the judicial system.
Very, very well said.
Troy, do you have a question for our guest, Michael Nixon?
Absolutely.
You know, we see so much going on in Congress, and we've even reported on it here at the Stone Zone.
There is an effort right now being led by former Speaker Kevin McCarthy to kind of hand the House of Representatives to the Democrats in order to allow them to pass legislation to ban Trump from the ballot.
And you spoke to it there, the threat.
We're seeing this from the Republican establishment in the House of Representatives.
Can you talk about what you would do as a member of the House to try to combat these people that are really undermining the president and therefore really undermining half of the country?
I mean, it's unbelievable.
Absolutely.
And so what they're doing is these rhinos that are in there, they're basically Democrats in sheep's clothing.
You have a handful of American first patriots that is fighting for this country in the House.
But you need to unify those people and you need to start picking off the weakest link.
You need to get these rhinos and start with the weakest one at the totem pole and work your way up.
Because once you start actually vocalizing and Broadcasting a spotlight on these people that are just, you know, so weak-kneed politicians that they shouldn't be there because they're not representing the best interest of the people in this country.
Because I will say right now that Trump is the best interest for this country.
Nobody can look themselves in the mirror eye-to-eye and say that they're better off now than they were four years ago under the Trump administration.
We have gotten way worse.
We've started down a slippery slope into this Biden administration and dealing with Biden economics that is just mind-blowingly sad, and it's taking advantage of every taxpayer.
And these politicians are getting complacent in D.C., and they're self-serving.
and they don't want to do anything that they can to help the American people, which includes backing Trump.
And they're scared that they've been rhinos so long that Trump's going to get their clean house and make their life miserable.
And their life should be miserable because they're taking up seats and keeping it warm and their butts should be primaried.
So, Michael, you have chosen to contend against a longtime Democrat incumbent in a district where I still think there is a more modest Democratic edge, but still a Democratic edge.
Experts I know tell me that they believe that under the right circumstances, with Trump at the head of the ticket, that this is a winnable district, which was not always the case prior to redistricting.
So tell us about the incumbent and tell us about how the district has changed.
Absolutely.
The incumbent is Sanford Bishop.
He's been a lifelong politician.
He's served in office for 31 years as of right now, and he's planning on just serving as long as he can and doing nothing for the people.
And that's one of his shortcomings is because now, let's just look at four years ago whenever we had Trump in office and everybody's life was doing Wonderfully so much better than what they are right now.
They were living their dreams.
They didn't mind going to the ballot box.
They were complacent in their life because things were so good that they didn't mind checking that incumbent, you know, check mark at the ballot box and getting sent for bishop in.
And then exit Trump, enter Biden, and now the life is horrible for people in District 2.
And District 2 is one of the poorest districts in Georgia.
And previously, before the Trump administration came into office and things got so better, they lived in that complacency.
And then they had a taste of what real economic growth was like.
And when you go from something really great to something really horrible, it shakes everybody up.
And so now people in the district are having to live under a Biden administration and Biden economics, and they want change.
They want Trump back in office.
And Sanford Bishop is having to live with all the choices he makes, because whatever you do, he votes blue.
And so he's having to live with all the policies that have been pushed down.
And historically, you're right, this was not a winnable district.
Uh, to unseat this incumbent, but after the redistricting, something amazing happened.
We had a county called Thomas County added to the district.
It has a population of over 46,000 people.
We've had an Air Force base called Robins Air Force Base added to the district, and we've had the town right outside that called Warner Robins added to the district.
That shifted the demographics.
For the first time in the history, we have less than 50% African-American population in the district, and so it shifted the Democrat control of the district as well.
You have a lot more GOP voters in the district than you've ever had before.
Excellent point.
Troy, another question for Michael Nixon.
Absolutely.
So, you know, Michael, one of the things that I noticed, and I've been watching this pretty closely, is that the people of this country, you know, they're starting to feel the fire of Washington, D.C., and they're starting to, in their everyday life now, they have to actually make consequential choices because of what's going on in D.C.
Can you tell us what you'd be doing as a member of the House of Representatives to make those tough choices go away and make things a little bit easier for the people of Georgia?
Absolutely.
And let's start off, we need to actually take things at the federal level and downsize it and bring it back to the state as much as possible.
That goes along with education.
Get education from the federal government.
Localize it as much as possible.
Make school vouchers and school choice more of a thing.
You have the public education that's feeding our kids, DEI, and all this nonsense.
Transparency is no longer in our public education system.
Which is a shame and a sham.
And another thing is something that's very important to this district is agriculture.
And so you got to you got to cut through the bureaucratic red tape and help the farmers of Georgia.
And that also includes making sure China is not buying up farmland because they are going through the country and securing as much farmland as they can and shutting out some of these farming communities to utilize that land.
And our country and our congressmen are letting them do it and run away with it.
And that should be stopped.
We also have to secure the border because recently, and everybody knows this, we've had deaths here in the state of Georgia that would not have ever happened if we had a secure border.
We have the border wide open.
People are coming in willy nilly, 24/7, and it's not being handled.
It's not being stopped and we have to stop it to add protection and security back into the citizens of Georgia and the citizens in every one of the 50 states because this is just a monumental issue that the Biden administration and Sanford Bishop has not voted on border security since he's been in office and he's just allowing it to pour into this district non-stop and we have to plug that up and stop that and build That wall.
So let me ask you this before we put up a graphic to tell people how they can give to your campaign, because while folks running for Congress is extraordinarily expensive, no matter where you are running, the cost of postage has gone up.
So even if your campaign is based entirely in mailings to voters or The cost of radio, the cost of cable TV, the cost of even text messaging voters, which has new regulations governing it, the cost of blast emails, all of these things cost money.
But before we get to that, Michael, expand for us a little bit on your military service.
Absolutely.
I served active duty Air Force immediately after high school, and then I went from the Air Force into the Navy.
The Navy, I served on the USS Harry S. Truman, in my personal opinion, one of the best aircraft carriers ever made.
I loved my entire time on there serving with those men and women.
During my time in active duty, I did three deployments to the Middle East.
I've been in the majority of countries that end in Stan, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan.
I worked briefly out of the embassy in Kashkent, Uzbekistan.
Uh, and I deployed twice to the to the Gulf while in the Navy.
And so I've been there.
I've done that.
I've been on the front lines and saw the men and women that make the largest sacrifice for our nation.
And then to have them come back home and treated the way they are in the health care system that we have for our veterans is Embarrassing and shameful.
It was going in such a great, great direction under the Trump administration.
Healthcare reform for the VA was on an upward climb.
It was making monumental improvements just to kind of fall off the cliff whenever we We exited Trump and got the puppet in the Oval Office that we currently have.
Things have been ignored and we need better for our veterans and somebody that has been there and wore the uniform and deployed with those people and stood elbow to elbow, shoulder to shoulder with them, I believe that I can represent them and be the voice that they need in D.C.
All right, folks, we're going to put up the graphic for you where you can contribute to Michael Nixon's campaign.

We've learned through the pandemic, we can never be caught unprepared again.
And so many Americans, when COVID hit, they had nothing in the house.
Stores were shut down and doctor's offices were shut down.
And even if doctors prescribed drugs, hydroxychloroquine, ivermectin, pharmacists wouldn't fill the prescriptions.
That was a nightmare.
Now the situation is much worse.
We have these horrible supply chain problems.
In our emergency medical kit at the Wellness Company, we have eight prescription drugs that are all potentially life-saving.
Most people have died with COVID.
They died in the hospital because they didn't receive early treatment.
Every American family should have one of these.
I can tell you the wellness company kit is the answer.
The End Welcome back, folks.
If you're just tuning in, I'm Roger Stone, and I'm here with my co-host, Troy Smith of Slingshot.News.
Troy, we have just a few minutes left here, but one of the things that continues to mildly aggravate me are the folks on social media who say that Roger Stone and his wife evaded millions of dollars of income taxes, but they're being treated differently than Hunter Biden.
Why aren't the Stones being prosecuted?
In point of fact, We have never failed to report any income or asset accurately to the IRS.
Our simple problem is we are unable to pay.
That's not tax evasion.
We've filed everything correctly and honestly, and a federal judge actually agreed with us.
You covered it for Slingshot.News.
Tell us about this very quickly.
Well, Roger, I mean, it's just very evident by the way the judge scolded Hunter Biden's legal team and Kevin Morris, who's his lawyer here.
They attempted to dismiss the charges on Hunter Biden, which, you know, this is a guy, he's basically been charged with not paying taxes and failing to report millions of dollars in income, which was never, ever the case for you, as you stated right there.
On the basis of your own case, Hunter Biden and his lawyers attempted to make the case to this judge in the Hunter Biden tax case that you received preferential treatment and that because of that, Hunter Biden's charges should be dismissed.
The judge laughed that out of the courtroom, along with several other motions they made to dismiss these tax charges.
And overall, Roger, the situation, as he pointed out there in the headline, And was pointed out in the context of what he said, it was apples and oranges.
What Roger Stone did, by this own judge's admission and by the admission of our legal system, is not tax evasion, has nothing to do in no relation to Hunter Biden or what he's been accused of.
And yet the left, politically, they use this to say, oh well Roger Stone did it, well Hunter Biden did it as well.
No, they're apples and oranges, they have nothing to do with each other.
Truth be told, if I were you, I would be looking at these people, especially in the mainstream media, who accuse you of tax evasion as primary recipients, maybe, of a lawsuit, because they are lying, and I think they're knowingly lying.
Well, this is really very simple.
I'm not getting any kind of special deal.
Normally, when any taxpayer enters into good faith, offering compromise negotiations with the IRS, They can get some decrease in the interest and penalty on past due taxes.
The IRS has been unwilling to negotiate that with me.
Therefore, I will pay $2 million to the IRS, only one quarter of which are actually past due taxes, and all of the rest of which is interest and penalty.
So, special deal, special treatment, preferential treatment?
No, not at all.
These are not analogous situations, but I appreciate your bringing it up.
Alright, we are out of time.
I do want to remind you that we continue to be sponsored by the great folks at MyPillow.com.
