Press Stunned by Trump’s Brutal Threat for Remaining Iranian Revolutionary Guard

Dave Rubin dissects Trump’s March 2, 2026, strikes killing Ayatollah Ali Khomeini and 40+ Iranian regime figures in Operation Epic Fury, framing it as justice for victims—including Americans—while leveraging Venezuela’s oil to counter China’s supply. With Iran’s leadership vacuum sparking global chaos (14-country retaliation, 3 U.S. deaths in Kuwait), Rubin contrasts Trump’s precision with past U.S. failures like Obama’s 2012–2013 inaction during Iranian uprisings and Biden’s border policies enabling potential terrorists. The episode ties the strikes to a broader ideological war, citing exiled Shah’s son Reza Pahlavi as a potential U.S.-backed successor, and warns of domestic Islamist threats while praising Israel’s Iron Beam laser defense ($2–$5 intercepts) as a game-changer in deterrence. The geopolitical shift—Arab nations uniting against Iran—positions Trump’s strategy as both a Middle East stabilizer and a blow to China’s influence. [Automatically generated summary]

Speaker Time Text
Cold Open: March 2nd, 2026 00:14:00
dave rubin
Hello, everybody.
Did we do an intro to the show?
We just cold opened it with no nothing else.
I didn't even know that's what we were doing today.
Well, hello, there's a lot going on in the world.
I am Dave Rubin.
This is the Rubin Report.
It is, I cannot believe it, it is March 2nd, 2026.
And I kid you not, twice over the weekend, I opened up my calendar on my phone just to kind of look at, see what my week was going to look like, and it said March 2nd for Monday.
And I was like, something's wrong.
It can't possibly be March 2nd.
Alas, here we are.
Unless you've been living under Iraq, you know that an awful lot has transpired over the last 48 hours.
The Iran war is here.
I don't think it's like really shocking to anyone.
But what has transpired in basically 48 hours is rather extraordinary.
Obviously, we're going to do a deep dive into all of that.
We'll show you some of not only of Trump's statements about this, but some of Trump's past statements over the years for people that seem to think he's pulling the rug under out of the feet of America first or some of that kind of nonsense.
There was also a horrific terrorist attack that may have been connected to all of this in Austin, Texas over the weekend.
So let's just dive right in.
There is an awful lot.
And if you weren't playing along, that was not, as far as I understand, footage from Iran just now.
That was obviously the cold open of, that was actually a different cold open.
It was a cold open of Naked Gun, which is the funniest movie of all time.
But yes, the big story over the weekend here from the New York Times.
Ayatollah Ali Khomeini, hardline cleric who made Iran a regional power, dies at 86.
It's interesting.
You can leave the headline up there.
Dies at 86.
I mean, it's dies implies like, oh, you know, he was just like laying in bed and something happened at the ripe old age of 86.
It wasn't as clean as that.
But I would say for the New York Times, that's pretty good.
It wasn't like lofty leader who had a great sense of humor.
Ali Khomeini kicked the bucket.
But let's get you caught up on what has happened now in the last two days.
This is from Fox.
In coordinated sweeping U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran in the pre-dawn hours of Saturday, key military and nuclear-link sites were targeted inside the country.
The strikes focused on what U.S. officials described as high-value Iranian targets, which included Iran Revolutionary Guard Corps, command and control facilities, naval assets, and underground sites believed to be associated with Iran's nuclear program.
Iranian air defense weapons, missile and drone launch sites, and military airfields were also targeted, according to officials.
Israeli forces targeted sites linked to Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khomeini, a senior Israeli official confirmed to Fox News.
President Donald Trump confirmed Saturday afternoon that Khomeini had been killed in a strike.
He is among more than 40 senior Iranian security and regime figures killed in the attack.
A senior Israeli official told Fox News: Khomeini, one of the most evil people in history, is dead.
Trump wrote in a Truth Social post.
This is not only justice for the people of Iran, but for all great Americans and for those people from many countries throughout the world that have been killed or mutilated by Khomeini and his band, his gang of bloodthirsty thugs.
The strikes could also continue for days.
Trump said the campaign aimed to devastate Iran's military and dismantle its nuclear program, and he urged the Iranian people to take over their government.
Tomahawk cruise missiles were used in the first strikes of the operation called Operation Epic Fury, along with one-way attack drones that were used for the first time, according to a U.S. official.
So before I say anything else here, nobody should be surprised as to where we are at right now, right?
What did Donald Trump say about a month ago to the people of Iran?
I think the exact quote is: help is coming.
So there's one issue here, which was getting rid of their nuclear program and the ballistic missile program.
The other issue was that they had killed, I mean, we don't know yet.
I think at the end of this, we'll find out, but they had killed probably around 40,000 of their own people.
So this is the Islamic Republic of Iran killing the mostly, largely Persian people, right?
And in a weird way, you can almost think of Iran as being an occupied country since Khomeini and the Mullahs came in.
So there were two things going on here, right?
There's an argument: okay, America as the last world power, do we exert influence to help people who are living under horrific oppression?
You can argue it either way, but Trump's position is these people were protesting, we're going to help them.
That's in stark contrast to what American officials have done for the last 40 years, which is often when the Iranians have risen up, we basically say nice things and don't do anything.
Barack Obama, I think it was 2012, 2013, they had a massive uprising and Obama did absolutely nothing.
Here, him, the progressive hero, did nothing for the women and the people who just yearned to be free from the Iranian oppression.
Here's a quick video or a quick image, actually.
This is Trump and the team monitoring the U.S.-Israeli attack on Iran on Sunday.
And you can see it's just serious stuff.
They are not playing around.
Interestingly, a lot of people are asking where JD Vance was.
He was not in the room at the time.
Here is Trump.
Also, it sounds like, can we confirm, is it confirmed that the Israeli strike killed Khomeini?
Do we know that for sure?
I think that's what happened here.
But we'll find out more.
But this is a fully coordinated strike, and Iran is now lashing out all over the entire Middle East.
I think they've hit 11 Arab countries.
If you want to see who the bad guys are, they're being hit by America and Israel, and they're lashing out at their supposed Arab friends, right?
Their supposed Muslim friends.
Here's Trump announcing the accomplishments of the opening stages of Epic Fury.
donald j trump
Over the past 36 hours, the United States and its partners have launched Operation Epic Fury, one of the largest, most complex, most overwhelming military offensives the world has ever seen.
Nobody's seen anything like it.
We have hit hundreds of targets in Iran, including Revolutionary Guard facilities, Iranian air defense systems.
Just now, it was announced that we knocked out nine ships plus their naval building, all in a matter of literally minutes.
Iran's formerly supreme leader, Ayatollah Khomeini, is dead.
This wretched and vile man had the blood of hundreds and even thousands of Americans on his hands and was responsible for the slaughter of countless thousands of innocent people all across many countries.
dave rubin
All right, so this is Trump with, I would say, a largely consistent message with everything he's ran on in the last 10 years, that Iran was not going to get a nuke.
We are going to stand up for America first, not America alone.
I think, you know, some of the people that are pushing back on him from both sides, you know, the lefties that are pushing back on him because it's Trump.
So if he does anything, even if he frees the women of Iran, so they can rip those beekeeper costumes off and live as free human beings.
They hate Trump, so they'd rather those women live in oppression.
And if it's, let's say, the more libertarian people on the right who aren't happy with Trump because he promised no wars, I think with those guys, this is mostly a lack of imagination.
Like, how does Trump, after all of this time, not deserve our trust that this isn't going to be a 20-year quagmire like Afghanistan or Iraq?
Look what we just did in Venezuela.
And by the way, you might go, hmm, did they really think this thing through?
They probably did because now we have access to all of that Venezuelan oil.
And as there's a war now raging in the Middle East, perhaps we need a little bit of that Venezuelan oil, right?
Maybe that makes the market stay a little more stable, which so far they are.
But here's Trump making, I think this was extremely important for him to say, that we are not looking to occupy or anything else.
And we're going to do everything we can to make sure no American lives are lost.
donald j trump
My administration has taken every possible step to minimize the risk to U.S. personnel in the region.
Even so, and I do not make this statement lightly, the Iranian regime seeks to kill.
The lives of courageous American heroes may be lost and we may have casualties.
That often happens in war, but we're doing this not for now.
We're doing this for the future, and it is a noble mission.
We pray for every service member.
I once again urge the Revolutionary Guard, the Iranian military, police, to lay down your arms and receive full immunity or face certain death.
It will be certain death.
Won't be pretty.
dave rubin
This is really Trump at his best.
Like this is leveled up, as I always say.
This is like the newer, the 47 version of Trump.
Trump 47 is just so much sharper and ready than Trump 45.
And there's a million reasons for that.
He lays out why we need to do this for a safer world for the future.
And then he's giving outreach to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
Like, we've taken out all your guys already.
Khomeini is gone.
They took out 40 other leaders.
There's an image.
Maybe we can find it, the tree of leadership in Iran, and it's X's over everybody.
They've taken out everybody.
It's partly why right now Iran is just firing random rockets at all of these other countries, which again, we'll get to in just a second, because there's barely any command and control at this point.
They are just firing off like craziness because there's just nobody in charge.
You think it's sort of like when Israel took out all the Hezbollah guys, what, half a year ago?
And it was like then they brought up a new guy.
The next guy was like, okay, you're in charge.
And then he died a day later.
Eventually you run out of people and then they start really, boy, maybe we should just stop messing with these people.
Now, Trump also, by the way, just to reiterate the point though, to tell the Revolutionary Guard guys, basically lay down your reprints or you will die.
Think of the calculation that they're all making right now.
There are thousands of people on the streets cheering for America, literally cheering Trump's name and for America that are thrilled that this regime is about to come to a close.
Let's say you've been on the wrong side of that.
So you were on the mullah's side during all of this.
You have a moment now to say, okay, taking off the military outfit, putting down my weapons.
You'll live.
We're not looking to kill everybody.
We're not looking to occupy or anything else.
We're looking to hand the country back to the people.
This is very, very different.
I don't know that it will all work out, but this is very, very different than the craziness of Iraq and Afghanistan and when Barack Obama, without congressional authorization, did a kinetic military action, that's what they called it, in Libya.
And we got rid of Gaddafi and now Libya is a failed state.
Like to me, Donald Trump just deserves our trust at this point.
Like if Donald Trump has come this far and lived through everything that he has lived through, he just deserves our trust, at least at this point.
Now, I thought this was super interesting, just to show you the kind of seriousness of the administration right now.
Trump didn't take questions.
Trump loves taking questions more than anyone else.
Trump takes questions on the plane.
He takes questions when he's walking out of the White House.
He takes questions in the bathroom.
Did not take any questions after the first press conference.
kaitlan collins
Just a few moments ago, we saw President Trump descend the steps of Air Force One.
He is now boarding Marine One at Joint Base Andrews.
He notably declined to speak with reporters who were gathered there on the tarmac with an arm of questions in hand.
dave rubin
I think that's worth noting.
Trump made a statement.
Here's what we are doing.
Here is why we are doing it.
We pray that none of our soldiers will die.
We probably will lose some.
It sounds like we've lost three.
We'll have a bit more on that in just a second.
But what is happening right now, this video, I saw this this morning.
I said, Phoenix, we must throw this into the show because it perfectly illustrates everything you need to know about Donald Trump.
Donald Trump has been so consistent on virtually everything for so long that it's almost incalculable.
We are used to politicians who say one thing literally on Monday and the next thing on Tuesday.
I mean, what did we spend most of last week doing?
Just constantly countering nonsense that Gavin Newsom was saying and then saying something else the next day.
And he grew up poor and then showing videos of him in newspapers as a rich kid.
Like we're so used to that.
But Donald Trump has been so ideologically consistent that it is actually almost hard to wrap your brain around.
So watch this video.
This is from October of 1980, 40 plus years ago.
Listen to Donald Trump being asked about military intervention as it pertains to Iran.
donald j trump
When you get the respect of the other countries, then the other countries tend to do a little bit as you do, and you can create the right attitudes.
The Iranian situation is a case in point.
That they hold our hostages is just absolutely and totally ridiculous.
That this country sits back and allows a country such as Iran to hold our hostages, to my way of thinking, is a horror.
And I don't think they'll do it with other countries.
I honestly don't think they'll do it with other countries.
unidentified
Obviously, you're advocating that we should have gone in there with troops, et cetera, and brought our boys out.
donald j trump
I absolutely feel that, yes.
I don't think there's any question and there's no question in my mind.
dave rubin
Don't you love seeing those videos?
I mean, just there's something about his affect back then, even kind of the look in his eyes, the way he speaks, the softness of it and everything else.
I asked the guys a couple questions during that, just to get some things absolutely correct here.
Why We Left Jerusalem 00:16:18
dave rubin
But the through line of what he is saying there is that people don't respect weakness.
They don't.
Did anyone respect the United States of America during the Biden administration when no one knew who the president was?
And we had a vice president who was completely incompetent.
Did anyone respect us?
Respect is a two-way street and it starts with strength.
Stand up for yourself, right?
What would you say to a kid? in the schoolyard, right?
You don't just, no one's just going to respect you just like that.
You get respect peace through strength.
So Donald Trump in 1980, after the Iranian hostage situation where Jimmy Carter, who was a useless leftist president who depressed the country and allowed another nation to take our hostages, and of course Ronald Reagan got them back.
There's Donald Trump 40 plus years ago saying, how do you get people to cooperate with you?
Occasionally you have to use some might.
The other guy who's looking like an absolute all-star right this second, this is from this morning, Pete Hegseth, our secretary of war, gave a press conference.
And you remember when Hegseth was, when they were trying to confirm Hegseth, and I kept saying there are two things going on with Hegseth.
There's a particular reason that they all hate him.
And it's because, first off, he had the military pedigree, right?
So he was completely qualified.
But the other, and they don't like qualified people.
They just want to know if you sleep with someone with the same genitals.
That was one thing.
But the other thing was that this guy was a TV host, right?
He's been on Fox for the last, I don't know, two decades, right?
I've been on shows with him many, many times.
He's a good, decent man.
But it was more that as a TV personally, he knows how to communicate.
He looks the part and he says things clearly.
And I just thought this, there was a great speech this morning, but here's just one quick highlight.
pete hegseth
Turns out the regime who chanted death to America and death to Israel was gifted death from America and death from Israel.
This is not a so-called regime change war, but the regime sure did change.
And the world is better off for it.
dave rubin
Yeah.
So let me address the regime change thing one more time.
When we went into Iraq, we wanted regime change.
Saddam Hussein and the people of Iraq were the same people, right?
So we took Saddam out.
And by the way, had Obama maybe not pulled out as early as he did, things were getting better in Iraq, but that's a little bit of a sidebar.
Right now, but it was basically, it was largely Arab Muslim people who were being oppressed by an Arab Muslim leader in Iraq.
Iran is very different because these are largely Persian people, which is a completely different culture than the radical Islamist leaders, Khomeini and the Mullahs, that they were living under.
So these people are ready to take their country back.
We've shown you videos of what Iran looked like pre-1979, pre-the Islamic revolution.
I'm going to show you two quick videos here of Iranians now dancing in the streets, dancing in the streets.
These people will live freely for the first time in decades and tearing down a statue of Khomeini.
Think about what these people have been going through for the past couple of months.
And again, like you might, as an American, you have every right not to care and you have every right to have a principled libertarian position.
I just don't care.
I don't want my money going to anything.
You know, the world can burn.
I only care about, okay, that's fine.
That's fine.
But think about what is going on with these people.
40 plus thousand people have been killed.
And now someone came to help.
And it was Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu.
And if you thought those two videos were powerful, this is crazy.
I think this is in Tehran.
This is Iranians.
And you can hear they are chanting Bibi June, Bibi Netanyahu.
In Iran, they are chanting praise for Benjamin Netanyahu.
So you really have to understand what's happening right now is just unbelievably different than all of the wars of the past.
And Donald Trump is different than George W. Bush.
Donald Trump is different than Barack Obama and Joe Biden and everybody else.
So this has, I know there's a lot of people that have PTSD over those things and America has made terrible mistakes.
And that is all true.
And it is all worth noting.
And again, you can have a principled libertarian isolationist position on these things.
Donald Trump sees the world a little bit differently and he is trying to exert American influence again.
If we don't lead the world, someone else will.
And you know who it'll be?
It'll be China.
And that will not be good.
You know, we're so used to over the last couple of years just seeing foreign flags that usually have something to do with terror in the streets and people that are burning American flags.
And also in the name of oppressed people, you break into a target and you steal a bunch of stuff and you burn down a mom-and-pop shoe store and the rest of it.
Let's contrast that to what's happening right now.
Here are Iranians singing their national anthem in New York City and, well, a bit from the UK as well.
You know what's so interesting?
You see those videos of the second Keir Starmer is a wanker.
Fact check, you did check that, correct?
And yes, it is true.
We put that on the Grok there.
What's interesting is you might, I think it's perfectly logical to watch all these videos of people in America and in whatever country you're in with flags of other countries chanting and say, you know, it would be better if we had our own flags out there.
Well, first off, you probably saw there were many American flags at that Iran rally.
But those people there who are chanting for a free Iran, they're not at odds with American values.
They are thanking America for hopefully exporting some of our values, not even exporting our values, using military force so the people of Iran can live more freely like the people of America.
They are not here for endless jihad or anything else.
And then in the UK, God bless those guys who are chanting Keir Starmer is a wanker because they don't have free speech protections like we do.
And usually they just let Islamists and jihadists take over the streets.
Over on CNN, you can see they're very conflicted about this entire thing as always.
However, they do have Scott Jennings.
And he here, I think, lays out what I just illustrated, which is that if we don't leave the world, someone else will.
It will probably be China.
That's not good.
And also that three American troops did die over the weekend.
scott jennings
It is going to have some impact on the economy of China because that's where they get their oil from Iran.
And what we did in Venezuela, what we did in China, and what we did in Iran has as much to do with China, I think, as anything.
I also want to say, may God rest the souls of those troops, but they died in a noble cause.
And as Buddy said, 47 years, Americans are dead.
The largest state sponsor of terrorism in the world.
I totally disagree with you about the threat not being imminent.
I spoke to senior, very senior administration officials yesterday.
They believed that the Iranian regime was about to fire ballistic missiles, not at the United States, but into U.S. military bases and civilian targets.
dave rubin
Okay, so there's a couple of things here that he's addressing.
As I said earlier, we now have Venezuelan oil, right?
Now, America has plenty of oil anyway, but it's always nice to have a little more oil.
So I don't think, as Scott just hinted at right there, that the Venezuelan operation a month ago is disconnected from this.
I think this was another way of, in the Venezuela case, we're protecting our hemisphere, right?
Side of the world, great resources over there.
And oh, Trump probably was going, boy, you know, we know that this war is in the offing in the Middle East.
And actually, to calm markets as it relates to oil, let's make sure that we have some Venezuelan oil.
So that's one thing that was good.
He also points out that the Chinese, who are the only other real superpower, right, Russia isn't.
Russia is a threat because they have a massive military nukes and everything else.
But it's us and China, right, that are in the real race to lead the world.
And he points out that China gets most of their oil from Iran.
So if Iran, not only is Iran funding, they've been funding terrorism literally all over the world, not just the Middle East, but in Latin America and in the United States and elsewhere.
They've been doing that, but they're also selling oil to China.
So now if China's oil is cut off a little bit, maybe China has to behave a little bit better.
You think that might be?
Here's Jennings also talking a bit more about just Trump's ethos when it comes to defending this country.
scott jennings
They had given us the runaround about their intentions on enriching uranium for military purposes.
How long do you want to wait?
Death to America, death to Israel?
How long do you want to wait?
We waited 47 years.
We have crossed every red line.
Every president says they want to do something about it.
Only Donald Trump had the guts to do it, and he is bringing peace.
We're already, Iran has been at war with us for 47 years.
The central pillar of the regime is death to America.
The other pillar is death to Israel, who is our ally.
They have been at war with us.
They have been killing American personnel and American soldiers for nearly five decades.
This is not an attempt to start a war.
This is an attempt to prevent further conflict.
This is an attempt to get the largest state sponsor of terror off the field.
This is an attempt to stabilize the Middle East.
dave rubin
You know, I just checked, and now it turns out with Iran, with the Ayatollah, and the Mullahs going down, the only other organized group that central pillar is death to America is the Democrat Party.
I just checked that.
Yes, again, Scott is making the point.
This is a different world.
And this is why I think my overriding for every TV appearance and everything I make over the next couple weeks, I will repeatedly say that Donald Trump deserves our trust right now.
There's clearly been a plan here, right?
And so much of this is to the backdrop of October 7th and that enough.
It's enough of endless jihad all over the place, right?
It's enough.
Iran, which was financially and militarily backing Hamas, they killed 47 Americans, putting aside the thousand, you know, 1,500 Israelis, right?
That's a little piece of this.
So Israel wanted a little revenge.
And by the way, we did just check.
So it turns out that it was the Israeli strike that killed Khomeini.
So it's just a new world that we are entering in.
And I think Donald Trump has shown us, has the track record and the correct vision for the world to get us through this properly, despite some of the mistakes we've made in the past.
Let's talk about Wild Alaskan for just a second, and then we'll get to the Iranian retaliation, which, as I said, their leadership has been blown apart, but they're firing rockets in all sorts of directions right now.
When was the last time you truly trusted the seafood you brought home?
For me, it used to be a guessing game.
That all changed when I discovered Wild Alaskan Company.
Wild Alaskan Company delivers wild-caught and nutrient-dense seafood right to your door.

And premium wild-caught seafood, that's wildalaskan.com slash Rubin for $35 off your first order.
Okay, so quick image.
Let's show you Khomeini's compound before and after the attack.
I mean, the level of intelligence that they had to have, that the Israelis had to have on the ground is just absolutely extraordinary.
You can show the image.
Yeah, it's pretty incredible.
We don't need to play the whole fox thing there.
So you can see it's just, you know, looks like it's in a fairly residential area and Gabai, Khomeini.
So how many agents did they have on the ground?
How many people over the last couple years were the Israelis able to get information from?
And what was, I mean, our intelligence agencies and everything else.
So, okay, Khomeini dies.
The leadership has been blown apart.
We're about 48 hours into this thing, but Iran is making some offensive moves.
Here are Iranian missiles hitting the southern city of Beersheba in Israel and the holiest city.
Okay, so that last portion was in Jerusalem.
So the first portion was in Beersheba in the south.
So Israel is taking hits.
They are using the Iron Dome.
But most amazingly, as of yesterday, this is a quick video.
I don't think there's audio on it.
Let's play this.
This is absolutely incredible.
Israel has officially launched and is using for the first time the Iron Beam laser defense system.
So these are lasers.
This is Star Wars level stuff.
And they've been testing this thing for a couple years now.
And what's incredible about this, I mean, first off, just like visually, it's incredible and that we're entering this new technological space age and all of the kind of cool stuff.
But at the most sort of granular economic level, the Iron Dome, which has been miraculous, has saved countless, countless amounts of lives on every side, right?
So every time Hamas, let's say, or Hezbollah or Iran shoots a rocket into Israel, they blow up that rocket.
That saves Israeli lives, but also because then less Israelis die, they don't have to go in as hard as they would over there.
So it saved an untold amount of lives on both sides.
But the Iron Dome, it's just a conventional, you know, it's just basically a rocket that's blowing up another rocket.
It costs $50,000 each time when they fire it.
So sometimes when a rocket's coming in, they figure out what the trajectory is and they're like, all right, we're not even going to blow it up because it's just going to hit an empty field or something.
The Iron Beam, this new laser system, it's $2 to $5 per time they shoot this laser.
This is a complete game changer beyond imagination.
In some sense, this could potentially end conventional warfare as we know it, meaning nations that are firing rockets into other nations.
Because if you just have a laser system, you know, you just, in essence, you have an electronic force field over your nation, people might be less inclined to mess with you.
New Laser System Could End Conventional Warfare 00:13:35
dave rubin
Here's a compilation of Iran just firing rockets all over the Middle East.
And I'm going to actually read a tweet that's going to explain some of the context.
This is by a guy named Wee Zhao, who's an ex-commentator.
We're going to show some videos, but here's the updates on what Iran is doing right now.
Iran has hit 14 countries in one night.
In Israel, there are nine dead.
Beit Shemesh flattened by ballistic missiles.
In the UAE, Burj al-Arab on fire.
Abu Dhabi Airport, one dead, seven injured.
Dubai, airport concourse hit, four wounded.
Flights in chaos.
Bahrain, U.S. Navy Fifth Fleet headquarters, massive fire.
Smoke visible for miles.
Also in Bahrain, stray missile hit an apartment block full of civilians.
Kuwait, airport terminal struck.
Ali al-Salem air base bombed in Qatar.
Oh, sorry, bombed.
Qatar, Aludid Air Base, which is the largest U.S. airbase in the entire Middle East was hit.
Saudi Arabia, Riyadh explosions at night.
Saudi Prince secretly asked Trump to bomb Iran first, according to the Washington Post.
Jordan, ballistic missiles intercepted, burning debris rained on civilian areas.
Iraq, U.S. military bases across the country were targeted.
Oman struck by Iranian missiles.
Syria targeted in the wave.
Cyprus, Raf Akatori, UK base directly hit by Iran, a NATO ally, which is the first time that's happened ever.
France, Comte de la Pas in the UAE was struck.
Italy, NATO camp at Ali al-Salem in Kuwait bombed.
Blah, Right.
I don't even need to read the rest.
Let's just leave it there.
The point is, Iran has now attacked 14 regional countries.
So who was the bad guy here?
They have no chance of blowing apart these countries.
They're not going to, what are you going to do?
You're going to destroy Saudi Arabia now?
You're going to destroy Cyprus or you're going to try to drag Greece into this thing.
We're going to blow up a UK base in the UAE so that you're like, but this is all they have left.
So something is changing for the better.
Think about it.
You're the average Israeli.
You've been through everything you've been through for these last couple of years.
And here comes another war.
Now, you haven't had rockets into your country in the last couple of months, but they're sucking it up so that there can be an end to all of this.
And by the way, that video that we showed you in Jerusalem, where you see the Iron Dome, or maybe it was the laser blowing up some rockets, but then some get through, Jerusalem is not a massive city.
They could blow up, you know, they fire these rockets indiscriminately.
They could blow up the Dome of the Rock.
They could, they claim they love it so much, that Dome of the Rock, that mosque up there, but they could blow that up accidentally, and then I guess Israel would have to build the third temple.
And wouldn't that be ironic?
Anyway, across the world, there are some problems as it relates to all this.
In Pakistan, here are rioters storming the U.S. consulate.
I mean, just dozens and dozens of people trying to break in.
They were armed.
We can only show you a certain amount of the video just for violence purposes.
22 people, I think 22 Pakistanis who went in to try to, I don't know, kill the people at our embassy or burn it down or whatever they might be doing.
22 of them are now dead.
Here is Trump talking about how, again, he's not sugarcoating this.
This is not going to be easy, and there likely will be more American casualties.
donald j trump
Earlier today, CENTCOM shared the news that three U.S. military service members have been killed in action.
As one nation, we grieve for the true American patriots who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation.
Even as we continue the righteous mission for which they gave their lives, we pray for the full recovery of the wounded and send our immense love and eternal gratitude to the families of the fallen.
And sadly, there will likely be more before it ends.
That's the way it is.
Likely be more, but we'll do everything possible where that won't be the case.
But America will avenge their deaths and deliver the most punishing blow to the terrorists who have waged war against basically civilization.
dave rubin
It's also so interesting because again, he's not sugarcoating.
As I mentioned earlier, three American servicemen were killed at the Kuwaiti base.
So Americans have died already, right?
And we should, can we get their names?
I don't know if their names have been released already, but if they have, I'd like to read them.
And if we can, I don't know if they're going to fund me or whatever it might be.
But he's not saying, oh, we're just going to be super easy.
But he's also not saying we're sending in the troops.
We're nation building and everything else.
We are taking out a regime so the people can take back their country so that the son of the Shah of Iran, we'll have a video on him in a second, will be able to return to Iran and they will hopefully be able to build the institutions that will lead them to a better future.
But the better future that would then take hold for the Iranian people would take hold for all of the Middle East.
Those the 14 nations now that have been hit by Iran, they're suddenly on the side of Israel and the United States.
Think about that.
Things are incredibly different.
Like you have to have a little bit of imagination right now.
And I know there's a lot of black pillars and doomsdayers and America can't do anything right, people.
They're missing the mark on this one.
They are missing the mark on this one.
And speaking of marks, here is Mark Levin on Donald Trump.
mark levin
My thoughts are number one, we have a great president who's a great leader.
We talk about Churchill and Reagan and Thatcher and Truman.
And we'll be talking about Trump for decades and decades, if not centuries.
That's number one.
Number two, the president did this for several reasons.
And you have to be deaf, dumb, and blind not to understand what they are.
In other words, you have to be intentionally trying to undermine our troops and him.
We know that Iran was making nuclear weapons.
He took one hack at them in June, and they're back at it again.
He's made it absolutely clear that's not going to happen.
dave rubin
So the reason I want to show you that clip is because Levin is now comparing Trump to the greatest leaders of all time, right?
The greatest leaders of the West.
And I think it will bear out over time that that's what Donald Trump was.
He is looking at the world in a different way.
We are coming out of four years of we didn't know what America was.
We were kind of done.
And had Donald, imagine where we would be right now if Donald Trump did not win that election and Joe Biden was still president.
The war, ironically, the real war in the Middle East that had been raging for years, the Israel-Gaza war would still be raging because the U.S. was putting the screws to Israel.
We are sort of, I think the way you can look at this, I haven't heard anyone else say this, but this seems to me to be the war to end all wars.
I know that that's like bumper stickery and whatever, but it's the war to say no more of this.
No more state-sponsored jihadism all over the place.
And once that happens, once these countries calm down and things start turning, and we know the Gulf states are thriving because they've put aside some of this jihadist lunacy, people will start being more successful and more successful, flourishing people are less inclined to become crazy radicals.
And that's not what the people of Iran want.
It is not what they had when they had the Shah of Iran.
So now I want to show you the lead.
This is the leader of the Iranian opposition.
He has been in exile.
His name is Reza Pahlavi.
We have shown you videos of him before.
He's the eldest son of the former Shah of Iran.
And he likely is the next leader of Iran.
This is the guy that, by all accounts, when this war ends, will go in and he will be the leader.
And again, it will be different.
Just remember, Saddam Hussein falls in Iraq.
And yes, we helped with elections and all of those things.
And as I said earlier, it was starting to look a little bit better.
And you all remember the images of the painted fingers.
And they were having free elections.
And then Obama just cut and run and the place went to high hell.
Obama also destroyed Libya and that place went to high hell.
This is different.
You'd be bringing in a beloved leader who the Persian people would want to follow and knowing that it has the backing of the United States.
So there's something very different here.
But anyway, here is Reza Pahlavi.
unidentified
What is your message to President Trump?
hrh reza pahlavi
My message to President Trump is that I'm here to echo and join millions of my compatriots inside and outside of Iran to thank him for having done and having the courage to do what is not easy, but intervene.
And he will go down in the annals of Iranian history as the most celebrated foreign leader that changed the ball game and changed the world as a result.
dave rubin
All right.
So Iran has a leader who is waiting to return.
Right now, America and Israel are doing the dirty work of getting rid of the bad guys so that the people can take over.
And there you have the people literally ripping down statues of the Ayatollah and chanting BB's name.
So something different is happening right now.
Now, as I've addressed a couple of times here, there is a contingent of people on the right, mostly I would say hyper-libertarians.
And then there's some that are, I think, sort of weirdly quasi-jihadist in some sense, quasi-Islamist, which is sort of the Tucker Carlson version of it, that are saying none of this is America first.
And they've been going after Trump for a long time because if Trump does anything that they don't like, it's not America First.
Trump has made it clear that it is America first to defend American interests, to defend American lives, to lead the world again and all of those things.
Here is Ben Shapiro on what he believes America First is.
ben shapiro
People claiming this is not America First.
Now, again, I'm a little confused how it would not be America First for our chief enemy in the Middle East to go away.
You're going to have to explain that one to me.
If we were talking about millions, hundreds of thousands, tens of thousands of American boots on the ground fighting house to house in Tehran, the way that the United States did in Baghdad, then you'd have to make a stronger case.
Americans like victory and they do not like losing.
The president has no intention of losing here.
This bizarre notion that the president of the United States, who campaigned against the Iraq war, who is by nature hesitant to get America involved in long-term war making, that somehow he is going to be a redux of George W. Bush's Iraq War is asinine on its face.
dave rubin
Well, that's what I'm saying about imagination.
You just, some of these people that are, you know, particularly the ones on the right that are angry with Trump right now, I think that Tucker released a statement.
It was like, this is a disaster beyond comprehension.
But like, how about we, how about Donald Trump, who has done everything differently than everyone before him, who, as we illustrated at the top of the show with that video from 45 plus years ago, who has, who has shown an ideological consistency with all this, who's using American military in a completely different way.
Remember, there were people three weeks ago that were screaming about regime change in Venezuela, and we just got Maduro out and the Venezuelan people are thrilled, right?
Like, so there's just a fundamental difference here.
I am not for putting American boots on the ground.
We are right now, this is being done with a major ally who holds their weight, Israel, who are doing this from the air and doing extraordinary things with unbelievable amounts of intelligence that are basically off the charts.
But we have had a problem with Iran for a long, long time.
I thought this was quite interesting.
This is the Iranian ambassador at the UN.
I don't even know the UN still exists, but apparently they have meetings every now and again.
And his name is Amir Saeed.
Here he is.
He was threatening the U.S.
He wants the U.S. to be more polite, but our ambassador, Mike Waltz, was not having it.
unidentified
I have one word only.
I advise to the representative of the United States to be polite.
It would be better for yourself and the country you represented.
Thank you.
The representative of the United States has asked the floor to make further statements.
michael walz
Frankly, I'm not going to dignify this with another response, especially as this representative sits here in this body representing a regime that has killed tens of thousands of its own people and imprisoned many more simply for wanting freedom from your tyranny.
Thank you, Mr. President.
unidentified
Right.
dave rubin
So again, so the reason I'm showing you that clip is the difference here is this is a regime that is not connected to its people.
It's a radical Islamic regime that has been going after the Persian people and repressing them.
And Donald Trump promised help.
Stay on the streets.
We're coming.
Even right now, they're sending messages.
The Israelis are saying messages.
Right now, guys, they're saying basically, everyone, calm down, stay at home because you don't want to get hurt with these bombs.
We will let you know.
And they're sending these messages out in Farsi, which is the native language of the Persian people.
They are sending these messages out.
We will let you know when it will be safer to get out there.
Now, obviously, people are going to do what they want to do.
I want to show you this video of Victor Davis Hansen, who has been one of, I think, maybe Trump's best intellectual backer, perhaps more than anyone else in the world that I live in, the alt media world, someone who explains Trump and Trumpism and Trump's vision for the world pretty much better than anyone else that I know.
Trump's Strategic Purpose 00:07:22
dave rubin
Here he is talking about how Trump's movements, which always seem like kind of all over the place, they actually do come together.
victor davis hanson
Almost everything that he's doing that seems herky jerky has an ultimate strategic purpose is to diminish the power of the Chinese and to turn Russia and China against each other and to have a cultural revolution,
counter-revolution in the United States that makes our adversaries think that we are serious and dangerous, whether it's closing the border or having immigration reform or pressuring Mexico about fentanyl or recalibrating the Pentagon, you name it, and economically more powerful.
Instead, they just say, well, he tweeted this or his tariffs.
But actually, there is a plan and it's working.
unidentified
Yes, it sure is.
dave rubin
Yeah, it damn well is.
So when you think of Trump with the border and Trump with Venezuela and Trump with the changing the trade deals and tariffs and that he literally changed the name of Department of Defense to Department of War, Trump, that's what I'm telling you guys.
Like this, the group of people that are around him, from Pete Hegseth and Marco Rubio and everybody else, they've been thinking about this.
This isn't some herky jerky, let's just throw some bombs in and see what happens.
Also, try to imagine this.
What's happening quite literally as I speak right now is one of the most extraordinary military feats that has ever happened because it happened basically out of nowhere.
Imagine the level of coordination.
There are 200 Israeli aircraft fighters that are over Iran right now, total dominated airspace.
There were no leaks.
How did we keep all of these secrets?
We finally have competent people in charge.
We fired a lot of the deep state people that would have leaked all of this and everything else.
Oh, and I want to bring up one other point.
And maybe we can talk about it more tomorrow.
You know, you're seeing a lot of Democrats right now that go, there's no congressional authorization for this.
And we haven't had congressional authorization for a war in 60 plus years.
And, you know, Barack Obama, as I said, got rid of Libya and they do all of these things.
But it's complete and utter drivel because the Dems, since when do they ever care about the Constitution or law or anything else?
By the way, there's nothing illegal about this.
And the president does have leeway on all of these things and everything else.
But maybe we'll cover that later in the week.
So all of this is happening.
And then what happened yesterday?
Well, check this out from Leading Report, breaking Putin willing to accept U.S. security guarantees, says Ukraine, per the Sunday Times.
So you think if you start leading the world again, if you start going where the oil is, telling the bad guys to shut up, I don't know, killing a ruthless dictator, then all the guys that are following him on the way up, that then maybe a guy like Putin is like, okay, okay, I can see these people are serious.
We are going to have to calm down.
So there are extraordinary, extraordinary things happening right now.
Somebody has to warn the Democrats about that because they're not happy about any of this.
Here's Adam Schiff, who tried to impeach Donald Trump 27 times and is a horrible, horrible human being.
And here he is, just offering up dribble.
george stephanopoulos
Ayatollah Khamenei led a regime that brutalized its own people, launched attacks around the world for almost 40 years.
So is the president right to take him out?
adam schiff
No, you're right about the Ayatollah.
He was a brutal dictator.
This is a murderous regime.
But at the same time, it posed no imminent threat of attack to the United States.
dave rubin
Oh, is that right?
Well, they funded October 7th, which killed 47 of our American citizens, right?
47 American citizens.
They had a little something to do with that.
They've been firing rockets all across the Middle East.
We have bases all across the Middle East.
They have been saying that they are going to get nukes and they've been promising they were going to get rid of their ballistic weapon systems and they haven't.
And everything else.
And Trump said, we're going to help you guys.
We all damn well know that if it was Biden or the Auto Penn that did this, they'd all be in on it.
Here's a compilation.
It's Ruben Gallego, Mark Warner, RoCanna, Jasmine Crockett, and Sarah Jacobs, just a bunch of Democrats with nothing.
This is just like Loserfest.
Here's LoserFest 2026.
dana bash
Well, the Iranian charter is death to America.
ruben gallego
Look, I mean, are we going to go to war because people say mean things to us?
That's not serious policymaking.
mark warner
You know, ironically, Dana, if the president had chosen to take one of these actions back in early January, when the Iranian people were on the streets in the millions, you could make a case because that might have nudged the regime into dramatic change.
He couldn't make that choice.
unidentified
Either you are on the side of no more Middle East wars or you're on the side of Lindsey Graham.
That's what this vote is about.
jasmine crockett
And right now, what we are clearly witnessing is lawlessness yet again from this administration.
sara jacobs
Given the fact that we are questioning, did Donald Trump make this decision in the interest of U.S. national security, or did he make this decision in the interest of his own family's business interests, should be enough that we should all be very, very concerned.
dave rubin
All right.
First off, you know, I said it several times last week, I'm really going to control the F-bombs around here and the cursing and everything because the more they're doing it, the more I want to control it.
And I saw a ton of comments.
People really were, a lot of people like it because they know at some point I have to get some of that stuff out.
But instead, I'm just going to punch Joseph over here after the show when necessary.
But a lot of you were really happy about that.
So I'm not going to curse.
And I'm also going to try to ease up on the R word.
I have been saying it a lot.
That Sarah Jacobs right there at the end, though, she's the R word because yes, Donald Trump's doing this for his business purposes.
He's creating a war in the Middle East and he's having Iran bomb 14 Arab countries so that he can put up a hotel in Bahrain.
Like it's mind drivel.
It's mind-numbing drivel.
Mark Warner there, who's on the intelligence committee, like you have to understand that these people lie about everything, everything, not some things.
They lie about everything.
So Mark Warner, if they had done this in January, it might have made sense.
We would have been all for it when they were out on the streets.
Well, first off, they're still out on the streets.
You would have been against it then.
But do you think it's possible that Trump and Israel and all the other people that have been involved in coordinating all this needed some time?
They needed some time to, well, first off, perhaps they were letting diplomacy take a chance, work itself out, right?
But do you think that to pull off what we just pulled off, this freaking modern marvel of military supremacy, that there were some things we needed to do?
So Mark Warner pretended, I would have maybe been for, yeah, then it would have worked.
That was January.
We're only in March.
It's only March 2nd.
And yesterday, I still thought it was February.
Okay, that's, and then, and then Roe Khanna, who's just terrible.
You're either on the side of no wards or your or your Lindsey Graham.
It's like, it's such boring, thin, low-resolution thinking, man.
Like, I get it.
I get it.
A lot of people, good-intentioned people, and I'm not including Roe in this, have a PTSD or a hangover from the adventures that we have done over the last 20 years.
I understand that, and that is legit.
Roe Khanna's Hangover 00:03:54
dave rubin
But Donald Trump is not like that.
So it's not either no wars or it's every war.
That's what he's saying.
It's no war or it's everything.
How about it's pinpoint precision with an ally that is competent as F to go in and get rid of bad people?
Now, I know, Roe, you're kind of in bed with the Islamists, so you don't want these guys to be taken out, which is why so many Democrats are upset right now.
That's really what's going on here.
But this was interesting from the Washington Post because they have to now glaze Khomeini because he's dead.
Ayatollah Ali Khomeini, Iran's supreme leader, is dead at 86.
He played a behind-the-scenes role in Iran's Islamic revolution, served as president in the 1980s and dominated the country for more than three decades.
With his bushy white beard and his easy smile, Ayatollah Khomeini cut a more evuncular figure in public than his perpetually scowling but much more revered mentor.
And he was known to be fond of Persian poetry and classic Western novels, especially Victor Hugo's Les Miz.
But like the uncompromising Khomeini, he opposed moderates' efforts to promote political and social reforms domestically and to secure rapprochement with the United States.
He just enjoyed les Miz.
He would go and during intermission, he would have a little soda and talk about liberalism with his friends.
There is one sane Democrat who used to have brain damage.
john fetterman
Well, I mean, what I can say is that, why can't we all just celebrate what happened today?
That was just profound and incredible.
And as you pointed out, as the president did, this was one of the most evil people that ever lived.
And after 37 years in Iran, he's been eliminated.
dave rubin
You think John Petterman gets off camera and he's just like turning to his friends, like, can you believe this is what I've been left with?
Like, like, how he all he did right there in the most like average speak, average speak, like, that was a bad dude.
We all know he was a bad dude.
He was doing bad stuff.
We're America.
We're okay.
We're trying to make some things happen.
But he is just on the outs with his party.
And why is he on the outs with his party?
Because his party has catered to radicals, whether it is genderqueer wackadoodles, whether it is neo-racist nutbags, or whether it is legit Islamist jihadist.
So Dearborn, Michigan, you know that's Hamas country here in the United States.
Here is a professor at Henry Ford Community College.
His name is Ali Akbar.
And here he is talking about how they're going to continue to teach Khomeini's ideology to our children.
ali akbar shdid
To God we belong and to him we shall return.
The pure soul of Sayyid Ali Khamina returned back to its Lord as a martyr like Imam Hussain and joined his grandfathers and all of the prophets and the best of prophets of Muhammad peace be upon him and his progeny the Ahlbayt.
May Allah raise their ranks in paradise and shower them with mercy.
However, Trump did a huge mistake by killing our beloved leader, Sayyid Ali Khaminai.
He thought that by killing him, he's going to make the believers submit and make them hopeless.
However, we're going to continue on the path of Sayyid Ali Khaminai.
We're going to hold his blood, his ideology.
We're going to learn it and teach it to our children and grandchildren.
dave rubin
Do you think that person should be teaching in the United States of America?
Do you think that person should be in the United States of America?
He's going to teach that to our children.
And yet, he's a teacher in Dearborn, and I'm going to guess that nothing's going to happen to him because the place is run by people like him.
Teaching Terror Ideology 00:04:28
dave rubin
But Donald Trump's next challenge.
I don't think that this war is going to take very long, the sort of immediate physical nature of this war.
There's going to be an ideological war that's going to have to be fought.
But then it's also, this is all connected to everything else we've been talking about for the last few months when it comes to the border and deportation, because not only do we have illegals who are here committing mass crime, but we have people probably like this guy who are legally here in the United States who are teaching horrible things to our young people, who are teaching that jihad and murder is okay, who are trying to bring, import the sectarian violence that they fled in their countries.
They're trying to import it right here into the United States.
So now to what is likely connected to all of this over the weekend, there was a terrorist attack in Austin, Texas.
This from the New York Post.
Austin bar mass shooter possibly motivated by Iran attacks.
Koran found as FBI eyes terrorism after two killed, 14 injured.
We'll show you, there's a lot of video.
There's a lot of video with tremendous amounts of blood and screaming and everything else.
We're not going to show you all of that.
You can find it on your own if you want to.
Here's a little video from outside the club with people ducking as the shots are going off.
All right, so two dead, 14 injured.
Again, if you watch the videos, it's very, very eerily similar to the Nova massacre, which was an outdoor rave party.
So these are just, and this was, you know, people at a club.
So these are people who are dancing, who are drinking, who are having a good time.
And then just to see them on the floor, people trying to resuscitate them, the blood everywhere, all of that stuff.
Now, you did see the image on the side.
We're going to show that again in just a second of the guy property of Allah.
They found a Quran in his car.
They've now found Andy No did a lot of digging on this.
They've found a lot of his old tweets calling everyone Islamophobes and everything else.
Here is Fox with a bit more on the shooter.
harris faulkner
We have a picture.
And this is what we're finding out per multiple federal law enforcement sources to our own Bill Malusion.
The Austin mass shooter is a 53-year-old naturalized U.S. citizen who was born in Senegal and was living in Phlugerville, Texas.
Material recovered from his person and inside the vehicle give possible indications of a nexus to terrorism, as the FBI announced earlier today.
And remember what we said he had in his possession and was also wearing.
The shooter was wearing clothing that said Allah on it.
His sweater said property of Allah.
And there's also known to be an undershirt with an Iranian flag and other materials in the United States.
dave rubin
Okay, so it likely is connected to what's happening in Iran.
And the question is, we just showed you that video of that professor in Dearborn, and we showed you a video of that guy.
How many of these people are legally here?
That guy came in under asylum under Obama in 2013.
How many more of these people are in our country?
We also, over the last couple of weeks, we've done a few segments on the amount of the explosion, no pund intended, of mosques in the greater Dallas area.
Now, this was in the Austin area, but it's only a couple hours away.
So Texas has a huge problem on its hands when it comes to this.
Now I want to connect this to, so what do we have to do about all this?
Well, we have to continue doing what Trump did, which is keep the border closed and we have to figure out who is here.
And we may have to start denaturalizing people.
I mean, that's the part that nobody wants to talk about, right?
Like, there's been a fight over, are we allowed to get rid of illegals?
But what are we going to do about people who have terrorist sympathies?
What are we going to do about people who are telling you, I am here to teach your children that jihad is okay?
What are we going to do about that?
We have people who are Islamists, Rashida Talib most notably, but Ilhan and several others with sympathies to it, who are Hamas supporters in Congress.
Like, are we going to suddenly take this seriously?
Or will 250 years of America be the beginning of the end?
I don't think Trump thinks it will be.
I think he's got another plan.
And I think we're just in now maybe step three of a 10-step plan, but we shall see.
RFK was on Rogan over the weekend and are on Friday, actually.
And here he is talking about Trump and how he has worked the border and immigration policy, which obviously is connected when you see that someone who came in only 12 years ago just murdered two people and shot 14 others in Austin.
What About Terrorists? 00:06:22
robert f kennedy-jr
This is what you don't hear.
70% of the people that they've arrested have criminal records.
What the Democrats are always saying is, oh, only 14% of them have been convicted of a violent crime.
Well, they've been convicted.
But a lot of them, the other ones have been arrested and they just haven't been convicted yet because they jumped bail or they jumped their warrants.
The other 30%, a lot of them are gang members.
dave rubin
Right.
So we know that the people coming in, huge, huge swaths of them are not good people.
It doesn't mean they're all jihadists.
But rape isn't great and murder isn't great and bringing in fentanyl isn't great and human trafficking isn't great and I don't know, punching grandma on the street isn't great and we could do a few more of those.
Those things aren't great either.
But also, even if you're just like a perfectly average nobody and you come to America illegally, you still might have to go home.
So that's why the Democrats are so apoplectic right now.
Their project to flood this country with illegals to get on the dole of the government to then become perpetual Democrats.
Trump has spit in the eye of that.
Trump has also spit in the eye of the people who like, they pretend they're progressive.
Did someone once say this years ago?
They're not actually progressive.
They're regressive.
I think somebody said that a long time ago.
And they like those regressive leaders.
Every time there is a bad guy doing something in the world, the people who purport to be progressive and for women and for gays and for minorities and for tolerance and for diversity, they will be also for the most repressive people ever across the world, which is why the Red-Green Alliance is so nasty because you have a bunch of brain-broken Marxists who are being taken advantage of by the Islamists who will just behead them at the end.
Yes, it buys you a couple minutes, but that's all.
But we better, thank God, that Donald Trump is president because we could have been left with Kamala Harris right now.
Or had all of us not been screaming about what was wrong with Joe Biden, we could have been left with Joe Biden.
Here's Joe Biden talking about his situation when it came to the border.
joe biden
The day I left office, border crossings in the United States were lower than the day that I entered an office inherited from Trump.
He is, I won't say it.
That's just a fact.
On the day I left office, I handed Trump the strongest economy in the world.
unidentified
In the world.
joe biden
That's not hyperbole.
That's a fact.
dave rubin
That is hyperbole.
And that is a fact.
And it's also horseshoe poop.
The day that he left office, there were less border crossings.
Well, Joe, to whatever extent you turned down, you closed the border a little bit at the end, it was only because you guys knew we were going to lose the election.
It's the four years.
It's not from day one of Joe Biden and the last day of Joe Biden.
My God, on those two days, you should have seen what was happening.
It's the four years between where you flooded the country with about 20 million illegal people.
And how many of them have the same ideology as the guy who just shot up a club in Austin, Texas?
This video has been making the rounds over the weekend, and this is where a meme is worth a thousand words.
What's the message to Iran?
unidentified
Don't.
What is the message to Iran in this moment?
joe biden
Don't.
donald j trump
I'm going to bomb the shit out of them.
unidentified
It's true.
I don't care.
donald j trump
I don't care.
dave rubin
The witch works, guys.
Again, you can have whatever your reservations are for this war.
We don't know which way it is going to go.
Could they have sleeper cells here?
Have they smuggled in a dirty bomb?
Like, there's so many things that we do not know.
But I think one thing history has taught us is that words don't do anything.
Don't.
Okay, we will.
Oh, they said don't.
Well, we will.
Or we're going to bomb the shit out of you.
And then you might be less inclined to do it.
And when you take out Khomeini and you take out his number two and his number three and his number four and his number 37 and his number 42, then suddenly the next guy's gone, it's a little hot in here.
And then people start behaving a little bit differently.
And then, and I fundamentally believe this, and this is where so many of the black pillars get things wrong.
When you take out enough of the bad guys, then you give people a little chance to breathe.
You give the women who have been oppressed, you give them a chance to rip those robes off and live as they wish to live and dance in the streets and brush their hair the way they want.
And you let the guys be around women like that instead of so oppressed and all of the other things.
And then the economy starts moving because you bring in some more, you bring in capitalist ideas and freedom.
Everything turns the temperature down.
That will only happen with the leadership of the United States.
And that's why, thank God, this man from 1980 is the president in 2026.
donald j trump
When you get the respect of the other countries, then the other countries tend to do a little bit as you do.
And you can create the right attitudes.
I don't think there's any question and there's no question in my mind.
dave rubin
As I said earlier, there's just so much you can read into that.
The look in his eyes is different from back then.
You know, it's before he had to go through.
He went everything.
Obviously, the color of his skin, the hair is a little different, but the affect, the softness.
But he was directionally right and has consistently been directionally right for basically longer than anyone in public life.
And the challenge now is that he's going to get hit from both sides, right?
Woke Version vs. Fundamentally Good 00:01:04
dave rubin
The left is going to go absolutely apoplectic about all of this.
There's nothing he could do.
It won't matter.
It literally will not matter.
You will have women in the streets of Iran ripping off these things, dancing, shouting, thrilled, putting on lipstick, wondrous opportunity for all these people.
And the left won't care because they have Trump derangement syndrome.
And now the sort of woke right version of these hyper-isolationists who think that America is not fundamentally good and we cannot do anything good.
And the horseshoe theory of politics, those guys will lie, which is why Tucker Carlson will have a hell of a lot more in common as things go forward with Rashida Tlaib than he does with Donald Trump.
And it will be the same Americans challenge, which is about 80% of us, to show that that ain't right.
And I think we have a chance and it's our 250th anniversary.
We got to keep running with it because as I keep saying, every the entire future of the nation boils down to what will happen in November.
So obviously, this is going to be the major theme of the week.
We'll try to get to some other stuff as well.
I thank you for watching.
We have a post-game show, RubinReport.locals.com in 30 seconds.
