Dave Rubin hosts the January 5, 2026 episode celebrating America's 250th anniversary and his 50th birthday while detailing a swift U.S. military operation led by President Trump and Senator Marco Rubio that captured Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro within seven minutes. The discussion contrasts this victory with New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani's swearing-in on a Quran, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz's withdrawal amid $100 million in alleged money laundering fraud exposed by Nick Shirley, and Elon Musk's reported funding of Republican midterm efforts. Ultimately, the episode frames 2026 as a pivotal year for restoring American sovereignty through the "Trump Corollary to the Monroe Doctrine" against narco-terrorist networks and radical leftism. And I hope you guys are doing well.
You know, I did not realize when we closed out the year how long this break was going to be.
We put up a whole bunch of content.
I was really glad to see that people caught some of our interviews with Arthur Brooks and Dr. Phil and a whole bunch of other stuff that we put up.
But the break really was pretty much from a week before Christmas.
And then because Friday was the second this year, I gave the guys a couple extra days off.
So we had a 17-day break.
And I just hope for everybody, I certainly hope it, I know it for the guys in this room that everyone got to take some time and be with friends and family and celebrate the holidays and all that stuff.
But I really, really hope that you guys did as well.
I feel very refreshed and renewed and reinvigorated and all of those things got a ton of family time.
We actually had a cousin's wedding down here in Miami and we got my entire family that all the aunts, all the uncles, all the cousins, my parents, all the grandchildren, everybody, we realized that we had not all fully, the extended everybody, had not fully been together since pre-COVID.
And we finally did that at the wedding and then I hosted everybody here for a day.
And it was just, it was a reflection of one of the things that I talk about on the show all the time, that our problems will not all be solved by politics.
They will be solved probably by you first, right?
Like the individual and family and build up societies that way.
So I'm feeling very refreshed.
And it's also nice because 2026 is America's 250th birthday.
About seven months from now on July 4th, 2026, we will be 250 years old as a nation.
And just a few weeks, about a week before that, on June 26th, I will turn 50.
So I view this as a very seminal and important year, not only for me, 50, 50, which I guess a few years ago, that would have seemed very old to me.
It now seems great that I'm rolling into 50 and I feel good and I'm doing good work and I have a great family and great colleagues and all of those things and these things are all successful.
It just, it feels great like that I'm rolling into my 50th year.
And more important than that is that America will be 250.
And obviously you know what today's show is going to be about.
It's mostly about what's going on with this Venezuela situation.
But I think there is going to be a renewed sense of optimism about this country.
You know, the last couple months of 2025, there was a lot of focus on the economy and the disconnect that young people seem to be feeling from what's happening.
And there's a certain depression on the right and all the fighting and all of that stuff.
And then it ended, the year ended politically with there was the big turning point USA conference and it was just fighting, fighting, fighting.
And I was glad to not be a part of that and then take a little time off to clear my mind.
But I think this is the year.
This is the most important year in America's history, maybe since our founding.
And I know that maybe sounds hyperbolic or over the top or something, but I really believe it.
We are finally at this moment where the left has been fully exposed for what they are.
We're going to connect that to Venezuela and what's going on in New York City, where they now have their new communist mayor and all that.
But we can take this thing back.
We really, really can.
We don't have to go down the path of Europe.
We can fix things.
We have the president to do it.
We have the right people in charge to do it.
And I think that the 250, I just think it's important.
I think people are going to be excited about America again this year.
And this Venezuela operation is a perfect example of that.
So that's setting up my year.
What I promise you is that I'm going to give you the best of myself to fight for the best of this country for this year.
And I know that the creator ecosystem, which once, you know, the alt system was like the thing, right?
Mainstream media is terrible.
Everyone go to alt media and it was great for a while.
The leader of Venezuela, Maduro, has been captured.
You know what happened, but let's recap the last 48 hours or so.
This is from Donald Trump on truth.
The United States of America has successfully carried out a large-scale strike against Venezuela and its leader, President Nicholas Maduro, who has been, along with his wife, captured and flown out of the country.
This operation was done in conjunction with U.S. law enforcement.
Details to follow.
There will be a news conference today at 11 a.m. at Mar-a-Lago.
Thank you for your attention to this matter, President Donald J. Trump.
So now look, over the last couple of months, what's been one of the major, major stories we've been covering?
Well, it's that Venezuela, which is basically a narco-terrorist state, certainly under Nicolas Maduro, has been sending these boats to America.
We know they have drugs on the boats and all sorts of stuff.
We started blowing up the boats.
Then we did a little bit of a naval blockade, and it was pretty much a threat to this guy.
Stop sending all these drugs over.
Stop doing some bad stuff.
America's back.
We care about the West.
This is in our hemisphere.
We ain't going to take this shit anymore.
And then it got escalated.
Maduro, just in the last couple of weeks, basically gave a big speech saying, Trump, come and get me.
And we did it pretty damn quickly.
And this is from the Rapid Response 47X account.
There is Nicolas Maduro on the plane with his, those look like glaucoma sunglasses.
I don't know if they are for any sort of ocular treatment or those are just what you get over there.
Here's just a quick video of some of the firefight that took place.
So it was a rather extraordinary special operation that they pulled off her.
I mean, we took the leader of another country, a pretty bad dude.
We got in and out real quick, real quick.
No American lives were lost.
No Americans were hurt.
I mean, this is because we still are the greatest country in the world and we can still do things like this.
We can do the unthinkable.
And if you keep threatening us and you keep sending drugs over and if your leaders are mocking us, we are not going to be the America that we've been for quite some time.
We're going to do something quick.
And it's not about nation building or sending thousands of troops in or telling anyone how to live.
It's that we are a functional country once again who will defend Western values.
Oh, and I do want to quickly mention that this morning, our housekeeper, Evelyn, who is a wonderful, wonderful lady who's been working with us for years, who really is a part of the family, I would say at this point, who is here legally from Venezuela on asylum, she this morning, with tears in her eyes, when I said good morning to her, she said, thank God for Donald Trump.
My neighbor across the street, now I'm in Miami, there's tons of Venezuelans here.
My neighbor across the street suddenly has a big Venezuelan flag next to their American flag on their lawn.
Like there's something really incredible happening here.
But speaking of incredible, the speed at which this thing took place was just remarkable.
I thought this was really funny.
This is from Lucky Teeter over on the X. Will's gay speech in Stranger Things lasted longer than the operation to remove Maduro from power in Venezuela.
Apparently the gay, so this was the big thing on social media over the last couple of days, the show Stranger Things.
I watched the first two seasons.
It's sort of like a modern day goonies and then I gave up on it.
But anyway, apparently one of the characters came out.
Oh, like six minutes and 51 seconds of that show for this kid to come out and to get Maduro in and out of Venezuela.
A lot of guns, bullets, bombs, rockets.
Six minutes and 34 seconds.
Here are this from Red Wave Press just in.
Photos emerge showing former Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro in U.S. custody alongside DEA and HSI agents following his capture in a U.S. military operation and transfer to New York.
So not going that well for Nicolas Maduro.
Also not going that well for some of his allies here in America.
This is real quick, an aerial shot of Venezuelan apartments.
listen, listen to the people who are cheering, cheering that the U.S. just got rid of this bad dude.
So people, the people who have had to live under this communist dictatorship with absolutely, and it's well, well established, fraudulent elections and a guy who was taking for the very top.
This is what communism, right?
What does communism do?
It promises everyone will be equal.
But of course, there's a very elite top who are just basically giving crumbs to everybody else.
So the people of Venezuela are thrilled about this.
And I can, again, assure you that the expats, many of whom who live right here in the city of Miami, are absolutely freaking thrilled about it.
That's a long-term question as to what we can do in Venezuela.
Here's a great image.
This is Trump Rubio, Steve Witkoff, and Stephen Miller as the operation was going down.
Something about the angle there, very sopranos, season four, like when they released their, here's what the season's going to look like, the black and white shot and all that.
And here's the White House's trailer showing the capture of Maduro.
Last night, on the order of the President of the United States, and in support of a request from the Department of Justice, the United States military conducted an apprehension mission in Caracas, Venezuela to bring to justice two indicted persons, Nicholas and Cecile Maduro.
What if I told you from the beginning about Marco Rubio?
Like, this guy was made for this job.
And there's a lot of all-stars in that cabinet.
I mean, it's like voted in by the fans all-star team for the most part.
But I would say he is at the top of his game.
We have a couple clips of him coming up.
But they put that together beautifully.
And I like that they started with Maduro because, again, it was just a few weeks ago, as were all the Democrats are screaming, we had a double tap on a boat.
And did we accidentally kill one of the drug dealers who was trying to swim after and blah, blah, blah.
They're all bitching and moaning, always protecting the bad guys, never protecting the people of the United States.
And there's Maduro going, come and get me.
And then Trump, unlike, I don't know, say, auto-penned Joe Biden or Barack Obama or any of these people, he actually, when he says something, he actually means it.
Maduro just would not change course, simply would not do it.
And now there's a different sheriff in town.
It's as simple as that.
Listen to this from the AF Post.
The United States is poised to take control of Venezuelan oil reserves valued at approximately $17.3 trillion.
So there is a game afoot here.
It should be noted, guys, that Venezuela actually has the most oil in the world, and they are in our hemisphere.
They have more oil than Saudi Arabia.
So is this just simply about those drug boats and stopping the encroachment of communism and what he's doing to his own people in fraudulent elections of Venezuela?
Probably not.
There probably is something around oil related to this.
We got a bunch of clips of Rubio because, again, he's just doing a bang up job here.
What he's saying is we have a ton of oil.
Now, for years and years, we did not drill.
What's one thing that Trump said during his reelection and said it the first time around too and the second time?
Drill, baby, drill, right?
Like, we have plenty of oil here in the United States.
So it's not that we need the oil per se.
But if China and Iran, other countries who are across the world are making a play on Venezuelan oil, if they are all working together in cahoots, then it can completely screw up the market and everything else.
So now, if we are, let's say, a little friendlier with new leadership in Venezuela, there might be a different game as it relates to worldwide oil prices and all that.
But even removing oil from this for a second, the reason I mentioned Evelyn earlier and the reason that I mentioned my neighbor across the street and some of the guys that I was playing basketball with this weekend who are Venezuelan is that the people, the people that have had to flee know what communism is.
And the people who have lived under it know what it is.
There seems to be a certain set of leftists and I would say far-right nutbags, the horseshoe theory of politics, that don't want to ever do anything good to stop bad guys.
But actually, people that have lived through this crap, they know what's up.
Here's Rubio again with Welker talking about the 8 million people who left Venezuela.
8 million, the single largest mass migration probably in modern history, left Venezuela since 2014 because all the wealth of that country was stolen to the benefit of Maduro and his cronies in the regime, but not to the benefit of people of Venezuela.
You know how destabilizing 8 million migrants is?
The number one fear that Brazil has, that Colombia has, that all these countries in the region have about what's happening in Venezuela and our involvement is they're afraid of another mass migration event.
That's what they feel.
This is deeply destabilizing stuff.
It's not going to continue to happen.
They are not going to come from outside of our hemisphere, destabilize our region in our own backyard, and us have to pay the price for it.
There is a people living under communism situation for sure.
And then the other part is the mass immigration situation, right?
So whether it's mass immigration that's coming from Africa and the Middle East for whatever reason that's flooding Europe, or whether there are 8 million people basically in 12 years, pretty much.
12 years, 8 million people fleeing a country.
How many people live in Venezuela?
Can we a total population of Venezuela?
I mean, that's a ridiculously high percentage of people to have to flee that country.
We're a country of 350 million people.
Imagine if 8 million people left.
Like, that's not that significant, but it's an awful lot of people.
So 28 million people right now live in Venezuela, and 8 million people have fled in the last 11 or 12 years.
That's an extraordinary amount of human capital and just literal bodies that are leaving your country.
And again, why are they leaving?
Like, oh my God, I just wanted to get the high hell out of here.
Everything's great here, but I really want to test it in America.
No, you're leaving because it's shitty.
You're leaving because they are confiscating your stuff.
You're leaving because you are fleeing an overarching government, one that we're installing in New York City right now.
More on that in a minute.
Here's one more from Rubio.
And I think we've got two more actually, again with Welker, talking about the ridiculous, and here he's, I think, pointing more.
You can read it both ways probably, but I think here he's pointing a little more to some of the critics on the right, the more libertarian critics on the right, who are claiming that this Venezuela situation is going to turn into some of the, let's say, misadventures we've had in the Middle East over the last couple of decades.
Number one, most of the experts that people have on television, I watch these experts, and it's clown hour.
Okay, these are people that have focused their entire career on the Middle East or some other part of the world because that's where all the action was.
They, very few of them, know anything about Venezuela or the Western hemisphere.
Venezuela looks nothing like Libya.
It looks nothing like Iraq.
It looks nothing like Afghanistan.
It looks nothing like the Middle East other than the Iranian agents that are running through there plotting against America.
This is where I would say like the Tucker types are, which is that America should not do anything and everything will always become a disaster and we shouldn't export American values.
Doesn't mean you bomb the shit out of people to force them to live like you.
But there are, I believe, there are good things that America as the last remaining superpower and the last giant powerful nation that can export anything good in the world can do when appropriate.
And in this case, how did we do it?
Well, we did it in less than seven minutes.
And now we're going to have to see, will they be able to build institutions properly?
How can we help?
He just also talked about Iranian agents that we know have been on the ground in Venezuela.
And there's all sorts of crazy things going on.
When you're a country that's exporting that many drugs, do you think there's some shady shit going on?
What's that show on Netflix with what was that show?
Like, there's going to be some, it was a good title for the show.
There's going to be some weird stuff going down.
So there's a, so what you get right now with the horseshoe is you're going to get the sort of pure libertarian, we should never do anything anywhere in the world ever.
And I can understand it sort of philosophically, like just focus here, but it is a global world, whether we like it or not.
And also it's like, well, we cannot do anything, but if they're shipping drugs to us, it is a bit of a problem.
But that's sort of a version of it on the right, like the pure libertarian isolationist right.
And then there's a version of it on the left, which fundamentally believes, and I would say this is almost the entire Democrat Party now, or at least all of the progressive wing of it, which is that American values are not good.
So anything we do anywhere is inherently evil.
But Rubio, the broader point of what he's pointing out there is to think that us going into Iraq 20 plus years ago, which by the way, the UN sanctioned and it was a giant coalition and all of that stuff, even though we were lied into it.
And okay, let's not rehash that.
But that Venezuela is anything like going into Afghanistan or Iraq or any of these other countries is completely ridiculous.
Also, when we went into Iraq, let's say, we didn't just run in the first time, even before the last invasion, when we went into Desert Storm and what was that?
Desert Storm was probably around 92.
What year was Desert Storm?
I think around 92.
It's like we didn't get Saddam Hussein in seven minutes, right?
But yeah, but you're going to go in and suck up five people.
They're already complaining about this one operation.
Imagine the howls we would have from everybody else if we actually had to go and stay there four days to capture four other people.
We got the top priority.
The number one person on the list was the guy who claimed to be the president of the country that he was not.
And he was arrested along with his wife, who was also indicted.
And that was a pretty sophisticated and frankly complicated operation.
It is not easy to land helicopters in the middle of the largest military base in the country.
The guy lived on a military base.
Land within three minutes, kick down his door, grab him, put him in handcuffs, read him his rights, put him in a helicopter, and leave the country without losing any American or any American assets.
That's not an easy mission.
And you're asking me why didn't we do that in five other places at the same time?
Rubio realizing he's going to be president of Venezuela, governor of Cuba, and Shah of Iran.
Yeah, that's where we're at right now.
Of course, it's a joke, but the point is we are doing things.
We're not even going to cover it in today's show, but the other thing that's breaking over the weekend, and we'll definitely get to it tomorrow, is there are massive uprisings against the Ayatollah and the mullahs happening in Iran right now.
Like people are waking up all over the world.
And if America, we don't have to blow everything up to make good things happen, but if we can push when necessary, if we can do strategic, coordinated, quick, in-and-out precision strikes to get rid of bad guys and then encourage people to kind of get on board the goodness.
What did I say a million times last year?
Trump's best speech was, I think it was in February of 2025 when he went to Saudi Arabia and said, just get on board, guys.
Put away some ancient hatreds and some of these bad ideas and America will lead an incredibly prosperous path to the future.
That's kind of where we're at right now as we roll into our 250th anniversary.
We will have more on what's going on in South America in just a second.
But first, Wild Alaskan.

Okay, so let's talk a little bit more about South America and sort of the change, I would say a massive sea change in American foreign policy.
You may remember, was it about a month and a half ago, we talked a little bit about the Monroe Doctrine on the show.
Well, on December 2nd, 2025, so just over a month ago, the White House put this up.
I want to read the whole thing to you.
It's quite interesting.
So now remember, this is on December 2nd, 2025 is when they put it up.
On December 2nd, 1823, the doctrine of American sovereignty was immortalized in prose when President James Monroe declared before the nation a simple truth that has echoed throughout the ages.
The United States will never waver in defense of our homeland, our interests, or the well-being of our citizens.
Today, my administration proudly reaffirms this promise under a new Trump corollary to the Monroe Doctrine, that the American people, not foreign nations nor globalist institutions, will always control their own destiny in our hemisphere.
More than two centuries ago, President Monroe proclaimed before the United States Congress what is today known as the legendary Monroe Doctrine, a bold policy that rejects foreign interference of faraway nations and confidently asserts the United States leadership in the Western Hemisphere.
The American continents, by the free and independent condition which they have assumed and maintained, are henceforth not to be considered as subjects for future colonization by any European powers, President Monroe professed.
With those mighty words, every nation knew that the United States of America was emerging as a superpower unlike anything the world had ever known.
And nothing could ever rival the strength, unity, and resolve of a freedom-loving people.
In the centuries since, President Monroe's doctrine of sovereignty has guarded the American continents against communism, fascism, and foreign infringement.
And as the 47th president of the United States, I am proudly reasserting this time-honored policy.
Since I took office, I have aggressively pursued an America-first policy of peace through strength.
We restored U.S. privileged access through the Panama Canal.
We are reestablishing American maritime dominance.
We are disrupting non-market practices in the international supply chain and logistics sectors.
My administration is also halting the flow of deadly drugs flowing through Mexico, ending the invasion of illegal aliens along our southern border and dismantling narco-terrorist networks all across the Western Hemisphere.
To defend our nation's workers and industries, I recently secured historic trade deals with El Salvador, Argentina, Ecuador, and Guatemala, allowing greater and more streamlined market access.
Reinvigorated by my Trump corollary, the Monroe Doctrine is alive and well, and American leadership is coming roaring back stronger than ever before.
Today, we renew our pledge to always uphold American sovereignty, security, and safety first.
Above all, we vow to protect our cherished national legacy of Republican self-government against all threats, foreign and domestic.
Guys, Trump put that up a little over a month ago.
And it's interesting because he repeatedly says Western Hemisphere.
And guess where Venezuela is?
Western hemisphere.
Guess where Iran and China are?
Yeah, not Western hemisphere, but they've been making moves on that country and that oil.
And their communist leader was playing footsie with those guys.
And you heard it right before, Marco Rubio talking about Iranian agents on the ground in Iran.
And here's Trump saying, America first doesn't mean pure isolation.
It means that we will defend American values particularly in the part of the world, the Western Hemisphere, which we live.
And if bad guys are going to come over into other countries in our neck of the woods, we're going to do something about it the same way that you live in a house.
And it's not a house in a vacuum, right?
Like there are neighbors and you want your neighbors to hopefully share some values with you.
They don't have to think exactly like you are or believe exactly the same things.
But if you basically share values together, your neighborhood will be safe and you'll say hello to each other.
And when the shit hits the fan, you'll know that they're not going to turn on you and everything else.
Like that, that is what we are encouraging right now.
It is completely consistent with the Monroe Doctrine, but as they call it, the Trump corollary is that we are going to reassert ourselves.
I thought this was quite interesting.
This is an image of South America's ideological map after the fall of Maduro's narco-dictatorship.
So red is the political left, obviously, in Brazil, not only is the big one, literally, in terms of the size of the country, but I would say in terms of like leftist thought and corruption and everything else.
And of course, Colombia.
So you're getting two major drug exporters that are on the left, you know, really run by sort of gangish cartel types.
And on the right right now, well, if you think of American influence in Venezuela, well, we've got Venezuela, we've got Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, obviously Argentina, which is the gem in everything right now, thanks to Malay, and even Chile.
Five years ago, this wasn't the case for Chile, Argentina, or Venezuela.
They were all very lefty communist nations.
So freedom is spreading.
And it's not just spreading because we're running in and blowing everybody up and killing everybody.
We're exerting American influence again.
And that then, because we still are the gem of the world.
Then good people in these countries start standing up.
Again, it's happening on the streets of Iran right now.
Now, interestingly, so we pull this thing off in under seven minutes, right?
We'll see what happens to the future of Venezuela.
But we pulled off something remarkable.
Here is Donald Trump subsequently saying, well, Colombia, you may want to look out.
Okay, so you can see something different happening here with America.
Like, you know, whether it's Biden or the AutoPennett at all, it just seems silly to talk about it.
It's like, who knows what the flying F was going on for those four years?
What was happening and the open borders and the lack of American influence, and allies didn't know if they could trust us.
And you could go back to Obama even before that, and red lines, and all of these things.
But America's exerting influence again.
Now, it doesn't mean that everything is going to work out perfectly, but we're not doing it.
You know, there seems to be always this fear with that sort of neo-isolationist libertarian crew, the Tucker crew, that the neocons were going to go into these countries and we're going to just endless wars and everything else.
But we're actually doing the reverse of that.
Look what happened with the Iran war back in, what was that, back in June, July.
It was like Israel did it for 12 days and then we went in for an hour, dropped some bombs, and that was it.
And now the regime is teetering, right?
Like the good people who want to be free, like they were in the 70s before the mullahs, they are rising up right now in Venezuela.
The hope here is that we can give Venezuelans, Venezuela back to the Venezuelans, right?
Why did 8 million people, as Marco Rubio said, flee in 12 years?
It was because they were fleeing.
They were fleeing terrible things.
They were fleeing authoritarian control over their lives.
But what got us to where we are at at the moment?
Well, it was the drug boats, right?
Like that was the first, that was the first thing that was happening here, that there was this endless onslaught of drug boats.
It was happening for years under Biden.
Nobody did anything about it.
It was probably encouraged.
Trump started blowing up a couple of drug boats.
And I thought in some sense, this is a non-sequitur, but I think you'll see the point.
Now that the drug boats are being blown up and the signal has been sent and we have closed the border, well, guess what?
Deaths by overdoses are dropping significantly.
Here's a little-known podcaster, Joe Rogan, talking about that.
Now, obviously, Joe Biden did not write this, but this was the messaging of the administration in 2020.
Trump talks tough on Venezuela, but admires thugs and dictators like Nicolas Maduro.
As president, I will stand with the Venezuelan people and for democracy.
Just leave that up for just a moment.
So Trump talks tough on Venezuela, but likes Maduro.
Well, Maduro's in jail right now, and he's got the glaucoma glasses on.
And Joe Biden, now you can come back to me, Joe Biden, what did you do for the people of Venezuela?
Why is it that my housekeeper, who is a refugee from who seeked asylum here in the great country of the United States of America, said to me with tears in her eyes, thank God for Donald Trump this morning.
What did Donald Trump do that you didn't do?
You didn't do jack shit.
So not only did you leave the people of Venezuela to be bartered with by their communist leader and just have nothing, right?
Have their goods and services taken from them and everything else to live under a communist dictatorship, but you also didn't care.
You didn't care that tons of drugs were being brought into America and killing Americans.
Another guy who did not care and does not care, but who's a little upset today because one of his communist buddies was just taken out is Bernie Sanders.
And Bernie Sanders put up this rather lengthy, I'm not going to read it to you.
I'm not in the mood to start the year by doing my Bernie Sanders impression, but it's a rather lengthy statement.
I'll just read you the first sentence.
I will do it in Bernie Boys.
Donald Trump has once again shown his contempt for the Constitution and rule of law.
So, okay, then he continues, blah, We're not going to get into all that, but what's he really upset by?
He's upset that a communist, because that's what he is.
So a communist being taken out there is bad for the communists right here.
The official GOP account, they saw that rather lengthy post by Bernie and they put up this.
I ain't reading all that.
I'm happy for you, though, or sorry that that happened.
So the Democrats don't know what to do with this because fundamentally, you know, I'm always talking about Trump and the 80-20 thing.
He just fundamentally gets what is right.
And people know communists are the bad guys.
And people know that young people dying from drug overdoses is bad.
And people know that having a border that is open is bad.
And Trump just gets this and gets this and gets this.
And the Democrats always, whether it's defending a rapist, whether it's defending a human trafficker, whether it's defending Hamas, like whatever it is with the Democrats, they always defend the bad guys and never defend the good guys.
RoCana, the only Democrat who will talk to me, but he's not great.
Well, we already played several clips of Rubio laying out and Trump talking about the new Trump corollary to the Monroe Doctrine, where we're going to take care of business in our hemisphere.
Do we need the oil?
Are we going to steal the oil from the nation?
I don't think so, actually.
I think what we're going to do is over time, there's going to be a more friendly American administration there that will be better for the people of Venezuela.
And then maybe there'll be things that will be done with the oil.
But they want, that is, you could read that tweet and say, is that coming from Tucker on the right or is that coming from Rokana on the left?
And we also have a policy that if you're driving on one of those streets and a mob comes and surrounds your vehicle and threatens you, you have a right to flee for your safety.
And so if you drive off and you hit one of these people, that's their fault for impinging on you.
You don't have to sit there and just be a sitting duck and let the mob grab you out of your car and drag you through the streets.
So look, the reason I wanted to show you that is that as if this Venezuela situation gets escalated, like if the left views this as its new thing, right?
Like the Gaza war is wrapping up.
They're never going to let that thing go.
But if they can't get, if they can't gin up people around that anymore and they don't have BLM anymore, and now Iran, they're not going to be happy with Iran because Iran could be falling and they're on the side of the mullahs.
If this is just the new thing to get people out in the streets, and again, it's paid for and everything else, they are going to be out of the streets.
And it is important to know if you live in a city that is allowing this, well, then you're hostage to them, whether you own a business or you're trying to get grandma out of the hospital or you just want to take your freaking kid or dog for a walk.
You are at the mercy of the mob.
Here in Florida, you are not.
Now, I've referenced it a couple of times so far on the show today, but I want to talk about that horseshoe theory of politics.
That most of us, most of America, and that is why the Rubin Report is a show for normal people.
If 80% of Americans are just kind of normal and decent and live and live and like America and are psyched about 250 years of this country and we like our history and all of those things, what you have on the right and left are the fringes.
And on the fringes, what happens is they end up actually becoming the same.
So I want to show you a perfect example of the horseshoe theory that brings all of the worst people to the same political conclusions.
This was first put up by Avi Yemeni, who I've had on the show.
He's a great Australian podcaster and actual journalist from Rebel News.
He wrote, Candace Owens and Jank Uger both blaming Israel for Trump's extraordinary operation in Venezuela.
It is no longer a theory, horseshoe fact.
The far left and kooky right are derangedly obsessed with the only Jewish state.
And allow me to read you these two things.
And I should note, you know, I said at the top of the show, the ecosystem, the creator ecosystem has just become toxic.
You know, Candace, I barely ever talk about her.
People always want me to comment about her and they ask me about her all the time.
And I did have something to do with her rise.
And I am the person that introduced her to Charlie.
I cannot believe it.
They literally, he gave her the job right there.
I was standing right there when this all began and I will have to answer for it one day, I suppose.
But she's completely gone off the deep end.
And anyone defending her as it relates to who killed Charlie or Macron's wife's a man or any of this stuff, it's just absurd.
I don't want to waste my time or energy on it.
She is a time demon who is just trying to steal time to make money off conspiracy lunacy.
Zionists cheer every time, cheer every regime change.
There has never been a single regime change that Zionists have not applauded because it means they get to steal land, oil, and other resources.
To be clear, I mean, I get it.
She just uses Zionist as just like this meaningless term.
Zionist just means someone who thinks Israel should exist.
So if you read it as that, someone who thinks Israel should exist, it's just patently.
What does this have to do with Israel?
Absolutely nothing else.
But Israel for these people has become, you know, you walk into an office building and there's a fire station there and it says break in case of emergency and it's fire retardant.
That's what Israel is for all of these crazy people.
If you don't know what's going on in the world or you don't like what's happening, you got Israel.
At the end of the day, Donald Trump twists his ankle, it's going to be Israel.
We go into Venezuela, it's going to be Israel.
Oh, your coffee was too hot at Starbucks and you burnt your tongue.
And that's, by the way, she's exact, she's doing exactly, exactly what Marco Rubio pointed out in that earlier clip when he's saying these things have nothing to do with each other.
What do you think sectarian warfare in Syria run by jihadists has anything to do with Venezuela?
They have nothing to do with each other.
But that's her on the right.
And here's my former boss again.
How the hell, cosmically, what did I do?
Jank uglier.
I agree with Steve Bannon that Trump is acting like Hillary Clinton at his neocon peak, bombing all over the planet, Nigeria, Somalia, Venezuela, and going back into Iran for regime changes, completely neocon establishment behavior.
Why do we have to fight all of Israel's wars?
Again, this has literally nothing to do with Israel.
What does Somalia and Nigeria and Venezuela have to do with Israel?
But that's at the end, at the end of every retarded conspiracy brainworm, moron's line of thinking.
Now, the other part of the ecosystem that became just insanely toxic over the last, it peaked in December, and I would say it really peaked at Turning Point USA, which was very sad because, you know, it was only three months.
Turning point had their big America first thing right before Christmas.
And it was only three months after Charlie was assassinated.
And, you know, people think, my estimation at this point is that I don't know how anyone could give money to Turning Point.
That's not an attack on anything that Charlie believed in or the turning point that Charlie created.
Right now, it doesn't know what it is.
It doesn't know what it is.
And they had this three-day conference where people were fighting and attacking people.
And Steve Bannon was calling Ben Shapiro a parasite.
It was just absolutely awful.
One of the people who I think has become maybe the worst, genuinely maybe the worst.
Candace is fucking bananas.
Tucker, it is what it is with him.
But maybe the worst in all of this is Megan Kelly.
And that is deeply disappointing for me to say.
And I tried not to even really talk about it at the end of the year.
But the reason she has become so bad is because she is clearly going whichever way the wind blows.
And to me, if you are in this creator ecosystem, if you're in this alt media and we're supposed to be so good and the mainstream media is supposed to be so bad, then we're supposed to tell the truth as we see it when we see it.
And we're not supposed to wait.
And we're not supposed to say, oh, are these Groypers and whatever's going on with the Tucker Candace group?
We played a couple clips of her tour, mostly in November, and she had Ben Shapiro on, and they were talking about Nicolas Maduro as it relates to some of Tucker's going off the deep end ideas lately.
Two, saying last week that the Venezuelan regime of Nicolas Maduro is actually not that bad because they're being attacked by, in his words, a globo homo.
unidentified
Tucker's made the point.
I'm not going to hear to be Tucker's defender, but he's made the point that Maduro is culturally conservative.
Ben, that is just so damn good, as I said when we played it last time.
To go in, you know, that's Megan's crowd, Megan's show, and they're applauding Ben for calling out bullshit.
And then, you know, for Megan to sit there and I'm not Tucker's lawyer.
Well, you act like Tucker's lawyer and you never criticize Tucker, but you'll criticize Ben and you'll criticize me and everybody else.
I don't even care about this interpersonal nonsense.
But the point there, the broad point there is, also, Megan, if you're really into, I don't want to defend Tucker, but Tucker's really into his conservative stances.
Yes, the reason Donald Trump got rid of Nicolas Maduro, he did it for Globo Homo.
Megan, I'm pretty sure you are for gay marriage.
Like, are you for all these things too?
Like, but she'll go whichever way.
If there are clicks that come in, Megan will go there.
Grandma Groyper, that's what they're calling her online.
But speaking of the horseshoe theory, right?
So we've got the crazies on the right aligning with the crazies on the left.
One of the most obvious crazies on the left.
And it's really like, you know, when I talk about KFABE, that we're all in this like stage reality.
The fact that at the very same time as we're going to Venezuela to take out the communist dictator there, what's happening in America?
Well, Zorhan Momdami, that's right, Moron Zamboni, is being sworn in as the mayor of New York City, the once greatest city on the face of the earth, is now being run by a communist slash jihadist.
That is my personal belief, and I think it will be borne out to be true.
Well, Mamdami had this to say, because again, what do the progressives do?
They always defend the bad guys.
He had this to say about what happened in Venezuela.
I was briefed this morning on the U.S. military capture of Venezuelan President Nicholas Maduro and his wife, as well as their planned imprisonment in federal custody here in New York City.
Unilaterally attacking a sovereign nation is an act of war and a violation of federal and international law.
There he is with international law again.
This blatant pursuit of regime change doesn't just afford those abroad.
It directly impacts New Yorkers, including tens of thousands of Venezuelans who call this city home.
My focus is their safety and the safety of every New Yorker, and my administration will continue to monitor the situation and issue every relevant guidance.
Douche nozzle.
The reason those Venezuelans live in New York is because they were fleeing Maduro and fleeing communism.
There is plenty of video of them celebrating it, but you don't like it when a sovereign nation is attacked, although you love when Israel is attacked, but that's a separate issue altogether because you don't even want it to be a sovereign nation.
But okay, let's put that aside for a second.
But what is he doing?
Well, he's quaking in his boots a little bit.
The guy got sworn in on the Koran.
We'll have more on that in a second as well.
He got sworn in, and within moments of him being sworn in, we took out one of his big allies, a communist ally in another country.
Might make him worried because he's trying to do the exact same shit in New York City.
We'll have more on that in a second.
The First Tax Network USA.
Do you owe back taxes or haven't even filed in years?
Now's the time to resolve your tax issues.
With the national debate around abolishing the income tax system, the IRS is pushing back by becoming more aggressive than ever.
They're sending more collection notices, filing more tax liens, and collecting billions more than in recent years.
If you owe or you haven't filed, it's not a matter of if the IRS will act its when.
Right now, Tax Network USA is offering a completely free IRS research and discovery call to show you exactly where you stand.
Their programs and strategies can save you thousands or even eliminate your debt entirely if you qualify.
Don't make the mistake of trying to handle the IRS on your own.
Representing yourself or calling them directly can waive your rights and cost you significantly more.
The IRS is not on your side, but Tax Network USA is.

Don't let the IRS be the first to act.
All right, so the communist who is now in charge of New York City, sworn in just a couple days ago, he's very angry at Maduro's arrest.
And again, he's upset because it violates international law.
I was briefed by my first deputy mayor, my chief of staff, my chief counsel, the police commissioner, as well as other members of my team.
I called the president and spoke with him directly to register my opposition to this act and to make clear that it was an opposition based on being opposed to a pursuit of regime change.
There are tens of thousands of Venezuelans who call the city home.
Their safety is critically important to me, as is the safety of each and every New Yorker.
People on the pursuit of happiness based in individual rights, which does not discriminate.
That's what this country is all about.
Go out, get yours, settle the West, figure out where you can go and how you can live and be in a community with people that are like-minded so that you can do incredible things and build a family and build businesses and all that.
That's what individualism does.
You want collectivism.
You want us all to be whittled down to our most important, our least important traits so that we can all be automatons in your system.
It is evil and awful.
And speaking of evil and awful, he also swore in on a Quran.
Lastly, and maybe most importantly, I Zaran Kwame Mamdani, I, Zaran, Kwame Mamdani, do solemnly swear, do solemnly swear that I will support the Constitution of the United States, that I will support the Constitution of the United States, the Constitution of the state of New York, the Constitution of the State of New York, and the Charter of the City of New York,
and the Charter of the City of New York, and that I will faithfully discharge the duties, and that I will faithfully discharge the duties of the office of the mayor of the city of New York.
I can't even listen to it and watch him with his fake smile and everything.
Now, I want to talk about something as it relates to swearing in on the Quran.
Now, you know, most politicians swear in on the Bible.
And you could make an argument that what people should be swearing in on is the Constitution.
I actually think that that would be the healthiest thing.
Now, the Constitution of the United States was born out of the Bible, both the Old Testament and the New Testament.
That's what Judeo-Christian values are.
And that's where the roots of individuality and freedom come from, right?
The Old Testament basically is the story of bondage to freedom, right?
Slavery to freedom.
I don't even, I don't need to do a biblical history lesson right now, but I think you can make a completely probably extremely strong secular argument that anyone who is swearing to be a public official in the United States should swear on the thing that they are sworn to protect, which is the United States of America.
Now, the problem with swearing on the Quran specifically is that the ideas of the Quran, the Quran, Islam, which means to submit, are antithetical to American values, which is why everywhere in the 22 plus Islamic nations, it is not good for freedom.
It is not good for freedom.
Certainly, if you're a Christian or a Jew or a Druze or I mean, there's just nobody left basically in most of these countries.
Ask the Coptic Christians how it's going in Egypt and ask the Christians, the Lebanese Christians who used to be a majority, who are now a minority, et cetera, et cetera.
If you're in the bottom percentage, you don't pay anything.
They just want more.
They want more for the government.
And if nothing, if we've all learned nothing in this last year after Doge and everything that's going on in Minnesota with the fraud and everything else, if you, okay, just even if you the best intentions, well, where do they lead you?
And then, of course, what you're going to get with this, because he's a communist with a dash of jihad, is you're going to get an awful lot more of this.
And almost everyone would wish they could make $400,000 a year.
But now $400,000 a year.
You've now chopped off, what, 36% with federal taxes.
Then there's about 10, 11%, maybe more in state taxes.
You have New York City taxes too.
So suddenly these people are down to what, $180,000.
And now you also have to live in New York City and you have a family and you got to send them to schools and everything else.
These are not incredibly wealthy people, actually.
And even if they were Bernie, even if they were billionaires with the B, because I know you don't bitch and moan about the millionaires with them anymore because you're one of them with your three houses, it doesn't give you a right to take more of their money.
You can look in the jewelry box, a jewelry box of this nature, maybe a simple jury box, but if you look through it closely, you don't know what your child may be hiding.
You should always, when your child brings in his popular knapsack with many different locations, look through it to see what exactly is your child carrying in addition to a book.
Something simple as a crackpipe.
Something simple as a baby doll.
Could be just a baby doll, but also it could be a place where you can secrete or hide drugs.
Run your hands over the pillows and see if you feel anything that's unusual.
Like a pillow like this with a button is a perfect invitation to hide something.
Major breaking political news out of St. Paul, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Tim Walz will not seek re-election as governor.
And what a fall from grace this has been for him.
You might recall in the spring of 2023, he pushed through several progressive ideas to the state legislature that caught the attention of Barack Obama, who went to Twitter to give his endorsement for the programs, which eventually caught the attention of people like Kamala Harris, who chosen to be his, her running mate as the vice president.
Introduced in Chicago at the convention in August of last year, a debate that was an absolute disaster with JD Vance at one point called himself a knucklehead.
But after reportedly billions of dollars have been stolen from taxpayers, by way of the state of Minnesota, Tim Walz says he will not seek a third term.
What a remarkable two years in the national spotlight has been for him, Dana.
Had the election gone the wrong way last year, Tim Walz would be vice president right now.
It doesn't go his way.
Then, thanks to Nick Shirley, independent journalist Nick Shirley, who we'll get to more in just a second, they fully break the dam on this insane Somali money laundering operation that's going through Tim Walz' government.
He has been caught.
Like the fact that he is not even going to run for governor, this guy's stepping away in shame and now is going to be in massive, massive legal trouble.
This is someone who was going to be a heartbeat away from being president of the United States.
Absolutely nuts.
There's a lot of videos we could show mocking Tim Walz, but here's one blaming the targeting of Somalis on white supremacy.
So this is what happens when your own federal government wages war against you.
This is what happens when they target communities for their own benefit.
This is what happens when they scapegoat.
And this is what happens when they no longer hide the idea of white supremacy when you hear the vice president of the United States talk about now white people won't have to apologize for being white.
That's never happened once in my whole damn life.
And I think everybody in this room knows what they're doing.
So we're here today to say enough of this.
We're here today to stand that Minnesota will protect their.
Nick Shirley, who is the independent journalist, I've met him a couple of times.
We've played a bunch of his videos.
He gets out on the street.
He challenges these Hamas lunatics.
He goes to the no-go zones.
He goes to Dearborn.
He goes to all these places and just shows what's going on, something the mainstream media seems incapable of doing.
He tweeted this this morning.
I ended Tim Walz all in caps.
And so what happened over the last couple of days, if you were not paying attention because of the Christmas and New Year break, well, the story out of Somalia, which we started seeing this sort of money laundering operation and that there was fake campaign funds that were literally being sent back to Somalia, and it definitely implicates the Attorney General there and Ilhan Omar and everything else.
The next big thing that happened was that Nick Shirley went. to Minnesota to find out where all this federal money is coming in and it seems to be going to all these Somali daycare centers.
But it turns out they don't really exist, although some of them have nylon signs.
Listen to this from Fox.
Shirley upended the news cycle last week with a 42-minute video investigating Minnesota daycare centers that appeared inactive despite receiving millions of dollars in government funding.
The shocking video has been viewed over 134 million times on Exalone and prompted investigations by federal officials leading the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to freeze all child care payments to Minnesota.
There are entire apartment complexes where white people have been pushed out of these apartment complexes because Somalians have taken over in their inside of these towns like Minneapolis where they can go and go get votes from these people.
And if you have 100,000 people that will vote for you because you're going to enable and let this stuff happen and because you're going to call white person racist for calling out facts, this is what's going to happen to a state like Minnesota.
Minnesotans, they say Minnesota nice, but they are very upset.
And I totally understand why they're upset because they don't have a governor who's actually working for them.
So what CNN and that crazy woman outside the Learing Center want you to believe is that that kid right there is a white supremacist who is working with ICE in some sort of fraudulent claim to get brown people out of the city in the name of white power.
Now, putting aside that that's not true, even if it was 1% true, then why is Tim Walz stepping down amidst this?
Do you see that these things might be connected?
Because the entire money laundering scheme is becoming undone right in their faces.
There was another video that's been going viral over the last couple of days online, which is this is a Somali.
I think he's in Minnesota.
And it seems to me that if your community, you know, the people of the place that you're from, your friends and family were under attack, you might not want to put up a video like this.
But it seems to me that would not be the wisest thing to do amidst all of this.
I'm sure somebody can figure out who he is.
Nick Shirley will probably figure out who he is and they'll tell you he's a white supremacist for it.
It is also worth noting, I think this is kind of interesting just them putting it out there, that Ilhan Omar, this is from En Wokeness on Twitter, representative Ilhan Omar's net worth.
In 2019, she was worth about $45,000, not that much.
In 2025, she's worth $30 million.
Her congressional salary is $174.
So in about six years, if you take six and you multiply it by 174, you're going to get about a million bucks.
I'm doing rough math off the top of my head now.
You're going to get less than that even.
There's something around there.
And that's without taxes and everything else.
But she's worth 30 million now.
There's been some leaked audio that came out.
Or no, it's not leaked.
I think the administration put it out, but this is just audio of Trump talking about the deportation of that woman who did marry her brother.
And then the rats start jumping off the ship and they'll start throwing people under the bus to cut deals with the feds and everything else.
So we will find out more about this for sure.
But how do we end our first live show of 2025?
Well, I think, actually, some frustration notwithstanding, I think what we've talked about here is actually a lot of good stuff, right?
Like New York City is in bad, bad shape and it's going to get worse.
But that is not the future of this free country.
And I am telling you guys, more and more people, especially as we get closer to July 4th, will be realizing how great this country is.
And there's going to be a reignition of pride in this country and of patriotism.
And there's one party, now the Democrat Party, that's completely in opposition to that.
And there's one party for all its flaws and for whatever infighting that likes that shit, that it thinks it's cool, that America's good, fundamentally valuable and worth saving.
And we're going to have to work hard to fight the media and fight the leftists and fight the fraudsters and all those things.
