Time Text
All right, guys, this is it.
Hello, I am Dave Rubin.
This is the Rubin Report.
It is July 31st, 2025.
You know where we're streaming.
I'm not asking you to subscribe or anything else.
This is our big going off the grid show.
As you know, this is year nine of me disappearing for August.
No phone, no TV, no iPad, no computer, no Game Boy, no nothing.
I am going to disconnect from the Matrix, spend some time with the family, enjoy myself, work on some self-care and house projects, and just get away from the endless rat race, hamster wheel, the chase of the machines, and all of that stuff.
And we got a big one for you today.
We did something, we got a couple really great announcements, and we did something different today than we've ever done on the show before.
So we just did a very quick run-through of the show.
But normally we set up the show together.
We write the show together.
We do a big run-through, make sure we know exactly what we're doing and everything else.
The guides basically did everything today.
And I'm just going to roll through.
It's going to be a recap of some of our favorite moments of the year, some of the milestones.
We're going to tease some things that are coming out in August.
And most importantly, later on in this hour, we are going to introduce you to AI Dave.
I have been teasing this for quite some time, but we have been working on AI Dave, who will sit here in this studio, in my chair, in my clothes, and he is going to host the Rubin Report.
There'll be abbreviated shows, but he will host the Rubin Report while I am gone in August.
So stories that I will not know about, because I will not be on the grid.
We're going to tell them.
Phoenix and the team are going to tell AI Dave what's going on, and he's going to report back.
And when I get back, we will see if AI Dave and real life Dave, if that's what I am, if we match up in thoughts and everything else.
We just did a little extra.
We've been testing AI Dave for the last couple months and many generations of it.
And you know, AI learns and learns and learns the more that you feed it and the modeling just gets better and better and better.
And we were just fiddling it with him right before the show.
And it's just absolutely spectacular.
I think we are doing something that is so on the cutting edge of technology and what media will become and all of that.
So I'm super excited for that.
Very quickly, I just, you know, this really, this was our 13th season.
You know, I said to you guys the other day, I was a little torn sort of deciding what season we're counting this as because, you know, the official Rubin report began when I was on the Young Turks.
It seems like many, many lifetimes ago, in February of 2013.
And by close now, because we consider our season closed at the end of July and we start our seasons in September, this is officially the close of season 13.
I was sort of internally, because I was the lefty and I don't even think back to those Young Turks days.
I kind of wanted to wipe those first two years away, but we're going to count them.
So this is the end of season 13 of the Rubin Report.
Season 14 will begin the day after Labor Day in September, which I think this year is actually September 1st, if I'm not mistaken.
What day am I officially back?
September 2nd, okay.
And it's just been a huge year.
It was our biggest year ever, again, which we've just, I really, it's really due to the people that are in this room right now that make sure I know where I am and what I'm doing and that nothing ever screws up.
I really have, I truly, truly, I know everyone says it, but I really do have the best team in the biz.
And just quickly on the numbers, I don't want to belabor it, but we've just, really, just absolutely crushed it.
In this last season alone, we had over 614 million views, as you can see.
That's a 25% increase from the year before.
And the year before, we crushed it.
And the year before, we crushed it and all that.
So I'm just very appreciative of everyone that's here.
And I'm really appreciative of you guys.
You know, we also hit the three mil subscriber thing the other day, which my goal is to hit it by today.
We hit it a couple days ago.
And it's just been an incredible, this really has been, I would say, the best year for everything that I've done professionally and absolutely personally.
And I think we're just at the beginning again.
I mean, that's what I always say to my guys.
You know, we launched a tequila this year.
We launched a new network, which I'll talk a little bit more about later.
Like we just doubled down on everything.
I think we've hopefully, you know, it's the thing that you guys always say to me if I'm at the airport or I'm at the store or whatever, that we've brought a little sanity back to the mess that is politics and culture and everything else.
And that it's fun and light.
And I'm really going to miss you guys.
You know, we have been so busy this last week.
And then I promise we'll get to it in just a sec.
We have been so busy this last week.
We have so much stuff coming out for you in August.
We have a couple of documentaries.
And again, I'll tease all that a little bit later.
But so busy that I have not had a second until finally this morning as I was having one egg this morning, just having my egg.
And I was like, holy cow, it really is July 31st.
Like we did it.
We're here and I'm about to disappear.
It has not even like been able to sit in my brain.
But here we are.
So what we're going to, we're going to do a couple things.
We're going to do a recap of the year quickly.
We're going to pick my favorite moment from each month of the year.
We're going to do some of our favorite highlights, some of our favorite interviews, some of the craziest stuff.
We're going to tease a few things.
And then, yes, at the end of today's show, I am going to bring on AI Dave and we're going to do it.
You will see me and him talk to each other completely live, completely unscripted.
Maybe we'll have the locals peoples ask him questions live.
I mean, and the thing is, what's so incredible about it, he can see me through the camera.
Like, it is absolutely wild.
It is cutting edge.
It's amazing.
I'm super excited.
All right, here we go.
So, since our season starts in September, let's go all the way back to last September.
And this is really what I loved about seeing this this morning when the guys wrote this up was, man, so much has changed so quickly in this country.
It's so spectacular.
And the highlight for me in September was I went to the Rescue the Republic conference rally in DC.
And this was really the first time.
This was just a few weeks after Bobby Kennedy had, you know, officially left the Democratic Party.
He had announced in August when I was off last year that he was going to support Donald Trump.
The MA thing and the MAGA thing were starting to collide, but everybody was still like, what's really going on here?
And at that rally where Jordan Peterson was there and Brett Weinstein was there and Russell Brand was there and Bobby Kennedy was there, obviously, and a whole bunch of people, I opened up the event with Jordan Peterson.
And to see all of the MAGA hats in the crowd with the MAHA banners, I knew something special was brewing.
Take a look.
All right, here we go again.
Here we go.
There really is something beyond politics.
Everyone's talking about the political alliance and all that.
But you and Jordan to me just did something that is very different than the political part of this thing.
Guys, thank you very much for coming out.
This is just the beginning of what's going to be a great day.
There is only one choice in this election, and it's Donald Trump.
We live in a world where if you have an opinion or even want to question what the status quo opinions are, it's cancellation, cancellation, cancellation, cancellation.
In the 60s and 70s, the Democrat Party were the party of free speech and civil rights and crushing out all these great heroes and now they're about oppression and control.
We want this nation healed and unified and we need leadership like Bobby Kennedy, like President Trump.
The reality is that maybe people don't like President Trump's language or how he says things or his personality or his style, but they can't deny if they just compare the facts.
He believes in the Constitution.
Tell me what happens on November 6th.
The fate of this nation's really determined.
Let's make America healthy again.
Why not, right?
Thank you.
It's really been an incredible day representing the Y-10 thing that I have been yammering on about for years for battling between politicians who don't want to let go of power.
It's really been an unbelievable day with Jordan Peterson and Russell Brand and RFK Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard and Brett Weinstein and a whole slew of people.
And we shall see.
I think we got a chance.
I mean, how cool to look back on that.
And again, it feels like a lifetime ago, but that was just the beginning when it started coming together, when the disaffected Democrats, the political ones, not like the online ones, when they finally, the Bobby Kennedys and the Tulsis and even someone like Russell, all these people started being like, maybe we could make this happen.
Brett Weinstein, who set that thing up, who was a professor at Evergreen State only, you know, seven or eight years ago before he got canceled and literally hunted off campus by a bunch of crazy woke social justice warriors.
Like these were people that would have never been Republicans.
And that's the beautiful thing that MAGA did and that has led to so much of the success that we get to talk about on the show every day.
And it was, as I said there, it was the thing that I was yammering about.
I feel like if I do nothing else in my career that we had a little something to do with this incredible, and I mean it we, I mean we like in this room, but I mean we, you watching this, we all had something to do with this incredible alliance that stopped the machine, right?
It stopped the Autopen man and the woman nobody wanted, and it started the resurgence of America.
It's absolutely incredible.
And speaking of the resurgence of America, then what happened in October?
Well, if you listen to CNN and the New York Times, there was a giant Hitler Nazi-like rally at Madison Square Garden.
However, I was there with Sage Steele and Michael Knowles.
It was a Donald Trump rally.
It was amazing.
Hulk Hogan was there who just passed.
And Dr. Phil was there and Rudy Giuliani and all the cast of characters were there.
And here's one of my favorite moments.
We'll see you next time.
You know, that was just another one of those moments where I always tell people, like, I'm in the, I'm seeing how the sausage is made.
So like, I go to these events that they call Nazi rallies and Hitler and all this stuff.
And you go and it's the most unbelievable celebration of life and joy in America.
And they're talking, you know, you read CNN and it's, oh my God, they hate all the Jews.
And there were Israeli flags there.
And there were Orthodox.
There was literally, I took a picture, maybe we can find it.
We can throw it in later.
I took a picture of an Orthodox Jew wearing a yarmulke sitting right in front of a Muslim woman in a burqa, literally in a burqa.
Like you could not believe what was going on there.
The sense of pride in America and everything else.
So, okay, so September, the Maha thing starts coming together.
Then the rally happens in October.
The juice is starting to happen.
And then, of course, it was election night, which was the most important part of the season and the year and the moment for the country.
It was our biggest live stream ever.
We did, what did we do?
Seven hours that night, nonstop.
We had about 30 guests.
And here's some of the best moments.
It's the Rubin Report 2024 Election Night Spectacular featuring special guests.
I'm just going to keep coming.
I don't give a shit what you say.
Mexicans make burritos because they have an agenda.
With all sorts of surprises.
Get out of the way.
Damage.
Classic example.
There's a chicken, and the farmer goes out every day and f the chicken.
The First Amendment and boobs?
Beat it up N-ward.
Hatch a charge.
Extra large and extra hard.
I'm going to bomb the shit out of them.
Shanga cool.
What's Joe Rogan's dream?
What's Joe Rogan's dream?
I think that was Joe Rogan.
I totally did.
Somebody's gotta have the same shit.
You.
F-U, Taylor Swift.
Ask the Ukrainians to help them cheat an election.
It's a crazy world.
It's a crazy world.
Somebody's gotta have the same views.
God, what an incredible night that was.
But let's show you something that actually, that was our promo for the election night show.
Let's show you something that happened during the show.
And this was such a great moment.
So Sage Steele was our correspondent on the ground.
She was at Mar-a-Lago on election night.
She was struggling with her Wi-Fi.
She's running around the hallways trying to connect with us.
And as she connected with us, this was just as everybody started to say Trump was going to win.
But I was like, I am not going to say it till the last possible second.
And there's Tulsi in the hallway and who walked by.
And this was the moment I knew it was real.
Tulsi, say hi to Dave Rubin.
We're on now.
Tulsi, you're on the internet.
We're going to win.
We're going to win.
Hallelujah.
All right.
Now you can feel it all kind of falling into place.
And then you know, like, this is a good thing.
And we're on for sure.
I mean, the fact that Tulsi said, we're going to win.
And again, just remember, it was only two months before that, that Maha, the Rescue the Republic rally was happening.
And these people were just, it was only a month before that, basically, that Tulsi was finally on stage with, right?
I think it was August while I was off the grid.
It was the first time Tulsi was on stage with Donald Trump.
So it just, it all coalesced.
It happened.
Like, that is the beautiful thing about fighting for what is right.
You suddenly find allies everywhere, the momentum that we all built and really, really magical things happened.
Obviously, the fact that Donald Trump won and then by January was our president, pretty freaking amazing.
In December, without question, my favorite interview of the year, really, like the most powerful interview that we did was with Tony Robbins.
And Tony Robbins, who's just, if you ever get to meet this guy, you go to one of his conferences, he is genuinely larger than life.
He's absolutely like physically, literally huge.
His voice, everything about him, you feel like a vibration and a reverberation when you're around him.
And we're going to show you a quick clip of the interview, but the interview also took place two days.
It was the Monday after our Saturday Ruben Report holiday party, and there was a lot of tequila at that thing.
And we shut it down at about 4 a.m.
Drink responsibly, people.
I may have, it was a bit much that time, that night.
And Monday, that was on Saturday night, I interview him at Monday at his house at about 1.30.
I was still not feeling right.
And then literally halfway through the interview, and it was because of his energy, I can feel it in my body like a nuclear reactor.
I suddenly felt fine.
But here's a bit from Tony.
I found a part of myself that I still use to this day.
I found this identity that will not stop, that will find the way, that will push through.
And we all have it, but it usually takes something really intense to bring it out.
I always tell people the biggest problem people have is that they think they're not supposed to have any.
But problems call forth in us if we don't give up.
They cause us to grow.
What you get will never make you happy.
Who you become will make you very happy or very sad.
And that's an identity.
But when you really do that to yourself, when you really expand your identity, your life changes completely.
And what used to be hard to do is easy.
I feel like my life is a living, breathing, walking example of what he just said right there.
And we've become good friends.
Actually, we'll have more on this in a moment.
But Tony, then when I, a few months after that, when I blew out my knee in 15 tears and it was just a mess and I was done, I called Tony and I said, who is the best doctor in the world to talk to?
And he connected me with Dr. Richie Striano, who fixed my knee.
We'll have more on that in just a second.
But you could just feel it with Tony, like the gruffness of the voice and the reel and the presence and his house is the fact that he welcomed us into his house.
He has a slide from upstairs, like a whirly, swirly, crazy slide that goes into the basement.
I got him that.
He's an indoor basketball court.
Just live it.
He's living the good life and it is well, well, well deserved.
January, it's obvious what the good thing was in January.
We're going to show you a couple images here, but this was obviously Donald Trump being inaugurated.
That's the night before there was the big Peter Thiel party.
And obviously, J.D. Vance was there.
We had a great moment right as he was walking out.
And all the all-stars were there.
That was also the day before.
And there's David Sachs, who then became crypto AI czar.
And Dr. Oz, of course, who's in charge of Medicaid.
There's Michael Knowles from the Daily Wire.
And, oh, gosh, oh, my God.
Zach Levi, who's an amazing actor and has become a friend.
And I just had a complete brain part.
And then, of course, my highlight was playing basketball in DC.
Finally, Ted Cruz and I got to play ball together.
And Ted Cruz, you can see, not the fastest anymore, but he could still, do we have a shot here by Ted Cruz?
Do we have a shot here by Cruz?
A little underhand pass.
What am I going to do?
What am I going to do?
What's going to happen over there?
Still do a little something.
Ted Cruz, he's going to shoot it.
And Ted Cruz, not going to hit it right there.
Okay, that's all right.
That's all right.
But Ted and I had wanted to do that for a long time.
And he's got just a great staff over there.
That was just a fun day.
February was one of my favorite months of the year.
We got to go to Jordan Peterson's ARC Conference, the Alliance for Responsible Citizenship in London.
And then I did a debate at the Oxford Union, which really is, it's the most prestigious debate situation literally in the world.
We won our debate.
I was very proud about that.
I think I gave really a fantastic speech, which you can find on our channels.
And here's a little recap of ARC London, which was represented by over 200 countries there, really.
And what ARC is all about is it is a counter to the WEF, a counter to the World Economic Forum.
Instead of organizing from an organization up top that will tell the peons how to do, how to live and how to operate and what they're allowed to do and all of those things, and you will owe nothing unlike it, ARC is about how do we empower the individual to build proper systems from the bottom up.
So here's a bit from ARC and my Oxford Union debate.
Mr. Rubin, how the hell are you, man?
Yeah.
you you you you you My life is like a Christian only moon.
I don't really understand what's going on.
I'd say don't try to understand it, just feel it.
I'll have one of these, Zach.
I'll have one of these.
This recording.
Sometimes it's you.
I grew up before this thing.
Before this thing, if you had something bad to say about somebody, you basically had to say it to their face and you might get punched.
And you know what?
It was probably good.
It was probably good.
That's how you dealt with bullies.
But when you can be anonymous and you can have burner accounts and you can mob people and you can go after their work and their livelihoods and their families, we have weaponized the mob to a point that good, decent people, including you, including your parents, including your grandparents and your friends and your family, are silencing themselves.
And that is way more dangerous than someone else coming to silence you.
We have done this to ourselves in the West.
People that live in closed societies where they don't have free speech would kill, literally kill, to be having a debate about whether cancel culture should exist or not, because they live in a place that canceling basically means you get bitted.
Yeah, and I have to say I'm incredibly proud that we won that debate.
You know, I really, I got off stage and I was like, I did what I could do there.
And you just don't know.
And they do something very cool.
It's very old school and cool.
Most people don't know this about the debate.
The way they decide who wins the debate.
So the debate hall was jam-packed, absolutely jam-packed.
And when you walk out, you walk out.
There are two doors you can walk through.
And which door you go through is your vote.
So you can say yay or nay on the premise of the debate.
And I didn't know what was going to happen because unfortunately, Oxford, which has been an institution of higher learning for over a thousand years, it has gone largely woke.
There were trans flags all over the place.
It was very clear.
There was a lot of kind of like Hamas support and all that.
I had no idea which way it was going to go.
Actually, as I was walking out, Phoenix said to me, that was the best speech you've ever given.
And he does not bullshit me.
And if I don't give a good speech, he tells me.
But I did not know what was going to happen.
And we did win that debate.
And I was very, very proud of that, obviously.
And just quickly on the arc thing, you know, one of the cool things there, we showed you that quick flip through of all the guests and everything.
You know, when I meet people from all over the world, it's one thing when we talk about American politics here and how our culture war is and everything else.
But one of the coolest things that I've been privileged to be part of while doing this show is that I meet these people from all over the world, whether they're from South Africa or from North Korea or whether they're from Mexico or Finland.
And to talk to all of these people who are somehow one way or another, despite how different our countries are and how far they might be apart, all kind of seeing the world in the same way, seeing the encroachment of authoritarianism, caring about the same things that I care about, trying to be in the same fight that I'm in, which is the fight that you're in, it's absolutely incredible.
Absolutely, absolutely incredible.
In March, I did a really fun event up in West Palm with the Harvard Republicans.
And then we'll show you one clip of my favorite appearance of the year on TV, which was on Gutfeld.
If Twitter went down for 24 hours, I would basically have no idea what's going on in the world.
Now try to imagine it the other way.
Okay, if ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, New York Times, Washington Post, throwing a couple others, if they all went down for 24 hours, we'd be free.
Holy cow!
You know what I mean?
We'd be out there, having a drink.
We'd know the real story.
You're right.
He's out there.
So the entire mainstream layer, if it went away tomorrow, you all laughed at that joke for a reason.
If it went away tomorrow, we'd all basically be okay.
And if anything, we'd probably be better off because it has done such a negligent job of what its mission was supposed to be.
If Twitter, the place where it's literally everything, if that went away, we would almost have no touch points that we could agree on or figure out how to get movies or anything.
All right, so I just love doing that.
That was kind of an intimate little thing that we did for the Harvard Republicans over there.
And then my favorite TV appearance for the year by far was this one on Gutfeld.
New Jersey police chief is accused of harassing co-workers by spiking their coffee with Adderall and Viagra, defecating on the floor, even stabbing one officer's genitals with a hypodermic needle.
He snuck hot peppers into co-workers' food.
He sent sex toys and gay pride flags to their homes.
And he shaved his body hair over their stuff.
He also made races for them.
Did you say he put Adderall and Viagra in their coffee?
Yes.
That would be completely ridiculous.
And that is why he is the number one host in late night television, because he brings Dave Rubin on.
April, there were a couple of really great personal moments.
These were professional moments, but they all felt like personal moments to me.
First off, just out of nowhere, the day before this happened, I was invited to D.C. to a private event with Benjamin Netanyahu, and it was me and about, I don't know, maybe 10 other people.
And we sat around a table and the man, look, whether you love him, whether you hate him, whatever your feelings on any of that are, he was such an unbelievably impressive public figure.
He walks into the room, he says hi to everybody, and then he sits down and he says, listen, nothing is off limits.
Whatever you want to ask me is fine.
He said, I like, and I really like that he did this.
It's a good lesson in public speaking or in just intimate talks, the best way to do it if you're a public person.
He had a piece of paper in front of him.
He said, listen, ask me absolutely anything, but I'd like all the questions first.
And then I saw him writing the questions down, kind of writing arrows to each one.
And then he figured out how to like tell this incredible story for about three hours And nothing was off limits.
It was really, really just unbelievably impressive.
Then I had one of the great moments for me personally because somebody whose music has just affected me in ways I can't even explain.
And if there's any music playing in my house on any given day, there's always some Frankie Valley, 91-year-old Frankie Valley.
We did this in Fort Myers.
I got to interview him before the show.
And it was just on a, we're going to show a little bit of it later, but it was just wonderful.
There I am.
I was showing him the kids, you know, the thing he got most excited about, 91 years old, to get somebody excited about, oh, I love Sherry and walk like a man.
Like, okay, fine.
But when I started telling him, hey, my kids dance to your music every day, that's when he really got into it.
And that was just an absolutely wonderful moment.
And then I got, so I met one hero of my mind, of my life right there.
And then right before that, I had a sit-down with David Zucker, who is the creator of Airplane, co-creator of Airplane and writer and director and of Naked Gun.
And he's done scary movies and a whole bunch more.
Just love him.
And by the way, the new Naked Gun that has nothing to do with him, they kicked him out, perhaps because he's a conservative in Hollywood, and they gave it to Seth McFarlane.
It's literally coming out tomorrow.
And they replaced Leslie Nielsen with Liam Neeson because I guess their names sound familiar.
I'm sure it's going to be horrible.
But here I am talking to David Zucker.
From the creator that bought you naked gun and airplane, David Zucker.
It's Zucker.
But I always call you David Zucker.
Zucker.
But you can call me anything.
And Dave Rubin sit down in an intense interview.
So you did have a guy by the name of OJ Simpson who is in these things.
I don't really want to talk about it.
OJ, the whole OJ thing.
If you don't mind, I'll just tell you this.
You guys decide to do this crazy farce comedy.
How does that happen?
We just wanted to make a career out of being the class clowns.
We evolved a very specific style that we would not acknowledge jokes.
My biggest direction that I gave to actors the most was let the lines do the work.
So to get to Naked Gun, so airplane crushes it.
I have the numbers here.
$3.5 million budget.
It made over $170 million.
So at that point, you guys are feeling great.
And that's what I say.
All my flops are clampers.
I never had a flop.
I don't hear from my manager.
I don't hear from my agent.
Then I wake up to read that Naked Gun 4 is being done with Seth McFarland has taken over the franchise.
So that you never got to know.
You just never heard back.
Never heard back.
I don't think the studios get humor anymore.
They don't know what good or bad is.
So one of the coolest things about that is that David actually, so he wrote Naked Gun 4, which is kind of the rebooted Naked Gun.
Now, there is the Seth McFarlane Naked Gun, which comes out tomorrow, but the real Naked Gun 4, David wrote it.
The studios rejected it.
Of course, when they realized how bad the Seth McFarlane version is, they asked him to come in and fix it, and he declined.
Like, this is a guy who has serious, like, he has ethics and pride in his work.
He gave me the actual script of Naked Gun 4, and I've read it like four times now.
It's absolutely hilarious.
They can't call it Naked Gun 4 because they own the rights to it, the studio, but I'm going to try to help him make it.
Like, I'm going to try to raise money.
If you're out there and you're a millionaire, billionaire, you want to toss in some money and you love airplane and Naked Gun, get in touch with me because we're going to try to make this thing.
Like, we absolutely are going to try to do it.
Then, and I just saw this for the first time, and I'm going to already give pre-credit to Joey on this one.
The big thing that happened to me physically this year was that, as you know, in February, I crushed my knee playing basketball, went up for a layup, came down in a crazy way.
I heard pop, crack, crackle, glass, popcorn, like crazy amount of tears.
A guy that wasn't even playing on the court with us started screaming.
Like it was that bad and loud and everything.
That happened in February.
On April 10th, via Tony Robbins, I met Dr. Richie Striano in Naples, drove across Alligator Alley, went over to Naples to do stem cells.
Here's just a tiny bit.
We shot a full documentary, which we're going to release in August 4th, about my recovery and about stem cells in general.
This is cutting edge technology where your body can fix itself.
And Dr. Striano was just absolutely incredible.
Here's just a bit of that.
Doc, how you doing?
I came down at the end after playing about three hours on a layup, crushed my knee.
I heard pops, cracks, crinkles, crunches like glass and popcorn as if you stepped on in a bag.
I'm actually kind of speechless.
Like I thought probably I was never playing again.
You have stuff inside of you that can heal yourself.
I mean, it's completely counter to the way we do medicine, which is we're going to, you know, use some pharmacology to put something in you, hopefully to fix you, versus, oh, it's in you already.
That's just a radically different way of looking at things.
With ultrasound, we can zoom in right up close and personal and see the individual fibers that make up the tissues.
So you see how this is nice and homogeneous, evenly grayed down through here?
And then right here, there's a little black spot.
That's a couple broken threads.
Come under the curl, perfect, inject.
And so what I really want is for everyone who needs it, this is my mission, to make people move.
Movement is life.
And if you can't move, you can't live.
I love that man so much.
He brought me back.
And I'm playing three times a week now, three hours a pop, played last night, and I'm playing great.
And I'm not even, I've been wearing a brace for the last 10 years.
I'm not even wearing that anymore.
And Dr. Striano is opening up a clinic in Stewart, Florida, I think in August.
And I'm sure if you mention my name, he'll take good care of you.
But the crazy part of that, Connor, are you able to take a quick screenshot of the woman stabbing me?
Are you able to jump back to that?
So what you're seeing there is they take the stem cells out of you via the fat in your back, right?
So what she's doing there, they've now taken the stem cells out of me.
That's blood and all the stuff that they, she's stabbing me with the needle.
The needle, you can come back to me.
The needle is like this long.
I couldn't see it, obviously, because I'm laying down on my stomach, but Joey saw it.
And you've actually never been the same since then.
Like just stabbing the hell out of you.
But actually, they numb you, of course, and it didn't hurt that much.
And it was well worth it.
And I kid you not, I walked out of the clinic and I already felt better.
And I was with Joey and Joseph and we were on Southwest Florida by Naples.
We went to the beach like an hour later and I was walking on the beach on loose sand.
I didn't think I was going to be walking.
It was just absolutely incredible.
So huge thanks to Dr. Striano for that.
And again, the dock itself, the full dock, will be out on August 4th.
In May, we launched my second show, Actual Friends with my actual friends, Russell Brand, Sage Steele, and Jillian Michaels.
I don't like it.
I don't like it.
Can I pray?
Lord, I'd like to enter into this in a spirit of grace and gratitude.
Thank you for the life of Dave and bless his marriage with David.
And Jillian, whatever her amazing deal is, and I can only imagine there's a very powerful and well-grounded man on the other side of that endeavor that he is supported too.
And Jillian, I want to find out more about your husband later.
Russell, I'm getting married to a woman.
So you're going to.
And I'm married to a man, so it all sort of balances itself out here.
Of course, we just lost stage, too.
Lesbian, Russell.
Lesbian.
Hey, I don't judge people.
I don't see colour and I don't see sex.
Russell, you were quite right about the strange racial dynamic over at the Gasparilla Inn.
Yes, it's difficult to deny that there is a sort of a near 100%, 100% white customers, black staff.
The staff was 100% black and the clientele was 100% white.
And the logo of the hotel is Florida the way it's supposed to be.
No!
Anyway, if you haven't seen the show, we put it out every Friday.
I'm loving doing it.
We're rotating in some of our cast of characters because the whole idea of the show is we're all busy, we're doing other things.
Can we do the show on the fly, sometimes in studio, sometimes on our phone, sometimes if we're traveling, whatever it might be.
Roseanne Barr has joined us, a whole bunch of other people.
So if you haven't, you can check the actual trends podcast.
Wherever you download podcasts, we're on YouTube and Rumble and all the rest of it.
The other thing that happened in May is we went to Hungary, and our Hungary documentary will be coming out on August 11th.
But here's just a little sneak peek of that.
Out of all of the countries in all of Europe, meaning Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Central Europe, etc., Hungary to me is the strongest.
I think some of the other Eastern and Central European nations are doing just fine.
Hungary really is sort of, I would say, it's the main bulwark against the craziness.
And Western Europe is largely screwed up.
And I don't sense, you know, after spending a lot of time in London and wandering around those streets, like, you try to find me a native Brit who is bullish on his country, and you've got to find somebody who's like six pints in and willing to tell you that, because otherwise it's hard to find.
Does it shock you that Hungary is the example for other European countries?
Yeah, that's a good question, because does it shock me that Hungary is the example?
What's obvious to me is that they learned the lessons.
That's the thing.
These people are serious about protecting their nation this time because their ancestors paid the price for it.
Thank you.
So I can't wait to share that with you.
It was an absolutely wonderful time.
I feel this really incredible kinship with the people of Hungary that I never would have thought of if you would have asked me five years ago.
But I've been there several times now.
We shot an incredible live Rubin report there where we had like 15 guests, didn't even do a run-through.
I had just been sitting down with the Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
Literally had to run from Orban right onto the stage and do a live show in front of a couple hundred people.
It was just an absolutely wonderful trip.
And then from Hungary, then that was the end of May, we rolled into June.
And in June, went to Israel second time post-October 7th.
And the first time you probably remember, and it was incredibly emotional, and it was tough and gritty and all of that stuff.
This time was a little bit different.
Our Israel documentary will be coming out on August 18th.
Here's a little teaser of that.
What's incredible about the Holy Land is that it is the Holy Land.
It is the center in some sense of the modern world.
All of our history is built around the stories of the Bible, and you are literally walking in the steps that Jesus walked when you are in Jerusalem.
To me, what it looks like, especially when I'm here, and that's why I'm feeling it so strongly right now, it feels like what it's done is basically taken all of you and this entire country and taken coal and it just keeps grinding it and grinding it, you know, condensing it and condensing it, and it's left a diamond.
I met with an incredible young lady whose name is Moran.
My name is Moran Salaman.
I'm 41 years old.
Being held captive for 54 days.
You know, at one point, I had to entertain them for over 13 hours.
I had to play with them cards, make them happy, make them laugh, you know, make them hungry.
I think one of the real through lines is they have very little pity for themselves.
They don't walk around in pity.
They just don't.
It's like some bad shit happened and then they move on.
It's really incredible.
When you talk to people who actually are just living it.
Yeah, that might have been my most enjoyable conversation so far.
What does a country and region look like post-war?
Well, that's the million dollar question.
What does this place look like post-war?
Well, first off, I think we're getting there.
You know, I really hope you watch that.
So that'll be coming out on August 18th.
And that conversation that I had with that young woman, Moran, she was kidnapped at the Nova Festival.
She was there selling jewelry.
Her mom is Moroccan, so she even knew Arabic and tried to speak Arabic with them.
They took no mercy on her, of course.
Literally would make her cook food, the Hamas guys that were keeping her in a bed ridden with bugs and all this stuff and no heat and anything.
They would give her literally a capful.
I had to ask her again when she said it.
It was a capful of water a day, and she had broken legs.
They gave her surgery with no anesthesia.
I mean, it's, and it's just telling you guys like that, to watch someone that has lived through that and look in their eyes while they tell you that story.
I'm actually, it's rare, actually.
That happens to me.
The other thing, now, how do I jump from this?
The other thing that happened in June was one of the great adventures that I've been on for a long time, for about three years.
I had been teasing it to you for a long time.
We finally launched Copal, my tequila, which was a true labor of love.
As you guys know, I just a couple of years ago, I just fell in love with tequila.
I love the taste.
I love the culture around tequila.
I love Mexico.
We go all the time.
And we created the most exquisite, pleasant, light reposado that smells great and tastes great.
We launched on my birthday, June 26th.
We sold out the entire first run basically in 36 hours.
We'll have more.
We'll be back in stock by the end of August.
And then we've already put all the processes in place.
We will not run out again.
And we're working with all sorts of partners now.
And it's just, I absolutely, I'm so excited about it.
And thank you guys for all being part of the Copal adventure.
And, you know, we've showed it to you before, but one of the really cool things we did is that every single label on every single bottle is different.
We AI printed the labels.
So every bottle is a unique piece of art.
I don't know that anyone has done anything else like that before.
And then in July, we're almost caught up to where we are now.
In July, I went on Michael Knowles, my old friend Michael Knowles.
I went on his yes or no show in Nashville.
And we had a little copal.
And he is a, he created Mayflower cigars.
That's his little vice of choice.
And we had some fun.
What is the name of this tequila?
Copal is the name of the tequila.
Why is it called Copal?
And can we try a little?
So I'm going straight.
Yeah, I'm doing it a little bit.
One rock.
So tequila negroni.
You've always been one of my, we call you a fancy man around my circles.
I mean, tell me that's not a delicious tequila.
It's a delicious tequila.
Part of the reason you actually are part of the reason I created Copal because I was hanging in LA with all of my conservative friends and you all drink whiskey.
Very busy.
And you all drink bourbon and it's always brown liquid.
And I was like, I wonder, would these guys try tequila?
And I started introducing tequila to the conservatives and they all started being a little more, I would say, classically liberal.
Yeah.
Yeah, that's the most classically liberal thing about me.
And it's nice.
We're filming this thing at like noon or something, one o'clock.
So it's not earlier in the day.
We haven't day drank together since yesterday.
This is really incredible.
This is amazing.
No, it's a beautifully well-done, exquisite tequila made the right way.
It's light.
It's a reposado, so aged three months.
Every bottle has original artwork.
We AI printed the bottles.
So the artwork, every single bottle is unique.
Oh, that's cool.
Yeah.
And it's just nice and light.
You're not going to get hungover and you're going to feel good.
Have a great time.
People will like you more if you are drinking Copal.
And real quick, I promise no more tequila promo after this.
They surprised me with something at the end of the show.
Check out.
I mean, this is just so wild.
Like what AI, and we're going to get to AI, Dave, in a bit, but what AI is doing and how it is going to change everything going forward.
The Daily Wire people put together this AI trailer for Copal.
We also have the exclusive World Premier Commercial for Copal Reposado.
check it out amigo I'm living in that 21st century, doing something mean to it.
Doing better than anybody you ever seen do it.
Screams for ladies, got a nice ring to it.
I guess every supernatural music no one means to have all that power.
The clock's ticking, I just count the hours.
I'll drink to that.
Cheers.
Was one of those girls Asian?
Just having a good time for everybody.
Maybe I should go back to the longer hair.
I don't know.
Maybe, maybe.
I'm told we have a video surprise.
Oh, you can go to drinkcopal.com, by the way, and if you sign up there, we'll let you know.
You'll be notified when the bottles come back in.
Is this a surprise?
I'm told there is some sort of video surprise.
I work with retards.
Isn't that a little politically incorrect?
Well, with that, no one's going to tell me who I can and can't work with, right?
No, I mean...
He's got a forehead like a drive-in movie deer, but he's a good shit.
So we don't bust his chops too much.
So one day, Mongo gets out of his cage.
But they keep him in a cage?
Well, it's just an enclosure.
No, but they keep him confined.
Right, yeah.
That's bullshit.
Well, that's what I said.
So I went out and I got him a leash.
A leash?
Yeah, one of those ones you can hook onto the clothesline, and he can run back and forth, and there's plenty of room for him to dig and play.
That kid is really, he's really blossomed.
I did not see that during the rundown.
You know, that sort of proves the point that you people put that in there yourselves about yourself.
That's really something.
You know, people don't believe this, but when I was in third grade, there was a kid in my class who was kind of nuts.
Back then, we said retarded or whatever he was.
He was nuts.
I get ADHD.
That didn't even exist.
He was just this Crazy kid, and people do not believe this.
This was a public school, it was a good school.
But instead of taking him out or putting him in the slow class or whatever, they just literally, someone, the janitor, brought a giant box in, I kid you not, a box that was like for a washer or a dryer, and he cut the top out and they just put him in it so he could see the ceiling and he could be in the class and hear the rest of the stuff.
That's what it was like growing up in the 80s.
All right, we got a couple questions now from the Ruben Report community.
I haven't seen these yet.
Zap Ed says, I received my two bottles of Copal, one for drinking and one for collecting.
Where do you reckon is the best place to affix your signed decal?
Thanks, Dave.
So I signed every single bottle that was shipped out from the first couple thousand bottles that we sent.
I signed a sticker that we put in the boxes and they were sent.
The reason we did it that way, I wanted to sign the bottles myself, but it was going to end up being a logistical nightmare having to go to the warehouse, open up all the cases, sign all the bottles, put them back into the case, then get them ready for shipping.
We couldn't do it.
So we thought, all right, we'll sign the sticker, throw it in there.
You can either obviously put it on the bottle yourself, or you can put it elsewhere, or you can just use it as a tattoo.
That also works, I suppose.
Shelly says, have you visited any of the natural springs of Florida?
You know, I have not yet.
I've heard amazing things.
Somehow they always pop up on my Instagram all the time and they look absolutely wonderful.
You know what?
In August, we're doing a lot of stuff around the house and we're doing a bunch of day trips with the kids and we're going fishing and doing a lot of fun stuff around here.
But yeah, it's going to be a little more homesteading this year than in years past for August.
So let me look into that.
Stay tuned in September.
Corky says, and then we'll get back to all the other stuff.
Are there any real consequences for a politician who has taken and sworn an oath to faithfully uphold the U.S. Constitution, who subsequently takes action against the U.S. Constitution?
Mamdani has voiced several positions, make all guns illegal, that contradict the Constitution.
Wouldn't that constitute lying under oath?
Thanks.
It's a great question.
You know, I've brought this up several times before.
If you are swearing an oath on the Constitution of the United States, and then your policies are things that are completely counter to that, whether it is an assault on free speech, the previous administration, the Biden administration, the Autopen people, they talked and influenced big tech to silence people, including me.
We know that literally me from Jim Jordan and that report, to silence us.
So there were people in the government that actually trampled on my First Amendment rights and millions of other people.
As Jim Jordan told me, unfortunately, there's no repercussions.
There's no laws.
You can't sue them.
There's nothing.
You don't get a letter from anybody or anything.
You bring up a good point when it comes to Mom Donnie, all these people that want to ban the guns.
There's a series of other things that we talk about.
COVID, we completely wiped away the Fourth Amendment, the right to assemble, when you couldn't meet people where you wanted to meet them or they tried to stop you from having people in your own home.
You know, one of the things that I think, one of the reasons that I'm bullish on America right now is because Trump not only has fixed so much in such a short period of time, but I'm telling you, there is a chance, guys, to reignite the American dream in 2026.
It is the 250th year of this country.
And that is big.
That is really big.
We're still young by most standards, certainly by most European standards, right?
But we have been around long enough that we've been through a lot.
We've been through a lot.
And maybe we pushed, or not we, maybe the Woesters and all of the Marxists and all the bad people.
They've pushed far enough.
And hopefully something about 250, if the administration can kind of brand it right and we can get enough people to just love this freaking thing again and think about where their ancestors came and what you're doing here and why you don't want to leave as rough as it is and all and why everyone still wants to come here, I think we can reignite that thing.
But yes, what do we do about a series of, and they're all Democrats, right?
Whether it's Ilhan Omar or Rashida Tlaib or even, I would say, Bernie or AOC or Mamdani or this Omar Fateh guy in Minneapolis.
What do we do about a series of politicians who swear to protect the Constitution, whose actions are largely against the Constitution?
I don't know exactly what the answer to that is.
All right, we now have the Rubin Report Awards.
These were selected by the team here.
So this is our direct message of the year.
And I happen to agree with this one fully.
This is just from like two weeks ago, and I think it got over a million views on YouTube alone.
This is when Stephen Colbert had to bid adieu to his quote-unquote comedy program.
But before we start the show, I want to let you know something that I found out just last night.
Next year will be our last season.
The network will be ending The Late Show in May.
The Late Show in May.
Well, I don't know why they canceled in.
Actually, you know what we'll do?
I'm going to do it perfectly free.
I will send you Connor, Joey, and Joseph to your house to help you build your studio for free if you're willing to take the help.
We got the best.
Connor's not happy about this.
I'll get you some extra Chipotle.
It's on me.
If you will do it, we will help you build a studio out of your house and I will show you how to build a profitable show.
And this is just, this might be the perfect joke.
Four-time WNBA all-star Britney Hicks is here.
Give it up for Brittany, everybody.
I'm joking around.
That's my friend's wife.
I knew none of you knew WNBA players.
That's crazy.
Clap for that.
And did you know that if you took the Lando Lakes tub, the old school Lando Lakes tub right there, and you cut it, you could actually fold it in a way that her knees would look like her boobs.
Has anyone ever seen that before?
You could probably get an image.
I don't know if we can put that on YouTube, but people used to do that back.
That was before internet pouring.
That's what you had to do.
Anyway.
Because like most men, I know exactly when me and my mom stopped being friends.
It was the first time I whacked off.
For the record, I do like that Shania Twain song.
Pretty good.
And I don't even know any gay people.
That's our show.
See you later.
The awards continue.
The direct message co-host of the year is my friend, Clay Travis.
And I'm sitting here with one of the best men in all of the political sports world.
Clay Travis, how you doing, my man?
I'm good.
I was getting yelled at by a Cuban Uber driver on the way over here.
What's with the general demeanor of these people?
This sort of low testosterone, asexual, weird thing that associates them with Trump?
So a couple of things here.
One, I think white dudes for Harris actually moves white, black, Asian, and Hispanic dudes all to Trump.
There's a certain amount of men who just want to blowjob.
And it actually doesn't matter if you're gay or straight or anything else.
Guys just like blowjobs.
There is no guy on earth who doesn't.
Oh, no.
Sorry.
I've had enough of those.
Right?
And what happens is the women basically bludgeon them with this stuff.
Oh, you're going to vote for Trump?
we're gonna get into a political argument you're not getting a blowjob tonight and then they end up becoming these sort of soy boy low-tee that's why they like their men emasculated or why we see all these articles about guys who work out are far right i think there's a lot of truth to that and i think it depends on what city you're in right uh i think if you're in new york city you got to pretend to be a libertarian you got to pretend to be a non-Trump guy to get your dick sucked.
I think that's a bad move.
I'm a First Amendment absolutist.
I believe in only two things completely, the First Amendment and boobs.
And so once they made the decision that they were not going to say non-sports-related commentary, they came to the basement.
Hold on, hold on, hold on.
I just want to make sure I heard you correctly as a woman anchoring this show.
Did you say, what did you say?
You believe in the First Amendment and BOABS?
Boobs.
Two things that have only never let me down in this entire country's history, the First Amendment and boobs.
So those are the only two things I believe in absolutely in the country.
I love her faux-aup.
You just, as a woman, I can't.
Boobs.
My favorite roundtable of the year was with Erin Wexler and Emily Wilson.
The male portion of our audience seemed to enjoy this one as well.
Emily, with your hats, I am being informed that this is the most brat show we have ever done on the Rubin Report.
Actually, we know how much Dave loves the Ladies of the View for his birthday.
I actually planted a tree in Israel in Sonny Hostin's honor.
Have you no empathy, man?
No, for the suffering of other people.
Would you have done something differently than President Biden during the past four years?
There is Donna thing that comes to mind.
I know what you're going to ask.
About a man's body.
No.
No.
Is there any law?
No.
Erin, I don't know a tremendous amount about this, but I don't think they're supposed to inject the Botox directly in your brain.
Can you help me with this one?
Listen, we all know that most of Congress is basically just like a giant brothel, right?
So I think that's what this video is.
Like they really just can't escape the fact that they're all absolute hoes for power.
When the scarlet team comes on the field, we will all stand up and cheer.
To the other team, we'll never yield and we won't forget where.
Are people not standing there?
I would be like double checking that I didn't have like ketamine, you know, in my system because I'd be like, is this really happening right now?
It really is crazy.
You forget about all these people and the weird moments and that was Waltz's wife and just what was Whitmer feeding the Dorito to the girl.
Like, what the high hell's going on with these people?
My favorite sit-down of the year, I mentioned it earlier, but here's an extended portion of Tony Robbins.
This really, I'm telling you, this, if you have not seen this one and you need a little juice in your life today, a little something to get you out of bed and feeling good for the rest of the day, this is the one to watch.
What is like the first thing that most people seem to be hung up on before they can start moving forward in life?
I think most people have had dreams and goals in their life and they've had, obviously, as all of us have, plenty of disappointments because, you know, you want to make God laugh, tell her your plans.
Exactly.
But if the person that persists and keeps going can eventually break through, you know, like all the studies showed that pessimists are much more accurate about their performance than optimists, much more accurate.
But optimists are much more successful because they overvalue, they think they did better than they did, so they're willing to try it again.
They believe it'll happen.
And that persistence is what makes things work.
Three things determine how you feel in this moment.
If you're listening right now at home and you're bored or you're excited or you're curious or whatever feeling you're having, number one is how you're using your body right now.
I kid you not.
I feel warm.
It's not warm in this room, but just I think that's an example of what you're talking about.
Why do you think you feel warm right now?
Because I think you're emanating something that's very true and right and it's having some sort of reaction in my body.
And what I do is I focus on for the first three minutes, everything I'm grateful for, because gratitude is the antidote to the two emotions that mess most people up, mess up your relationship, mess up your business, and that's fear and anger.
You can't be angry and grateful simultaneously.
You can't be fearful and grateful simultaneously.
Well, this was an experience that I will not forget.
And I'm proud to call you a friend.
And I thank you.
Thank you so much.
You remember what I said to you earlier, that it was two days after our holiday party.
And I'm telling you, I was still a little banged up.
My voice was still a little scratchy.
And that what I said right there about feeling warm suddenly with him.
And then I literally was like, holy cow, I feel great right now.
Like, it's true.
It's real.
Check that interview if you haven't seen it.
The special of the year obviously goes without saying was election night.
Oh, what a night.
I just think conservatives really, like Donald Trump, he's just never had the experience of being with a Honduran guy.
You know, because Honduran guys will absolutely rip you.
They're stamina, you know, they can go under high duress.
It's a sign of faith to assume that if you are committed to doing the right thing and following the pathway of truth, that things will work out for you as well as they can.
And I don't think you should underestimate the power of that.
Let me take you to this now.
Topo Chico, it could be worse than that.
Hey, I campaigned with you and voted for you, and then I left.
These thinks of desperation.
They think of desperation.
That's what it really shows you.
They got increasingly desperate because their internal polls were showing, I'm sure, some of what we're seeing tonight, and they knew more than they were letting on.
But, Dave, I want to say this.
One event I didn't get kicked out of, I was recently at Camela's Rally in Houston, and I just didn't get kicked out because the Secret Service was, I mean, they were up my button around the corner.
They were on me.
You know, pretty great.
I am liking that Chiron right there, the Jewish Dave Rubin.
I didn't even see that.
That's hilarious.
They 25th Amendment him, and she just decides to jump in so she could be president for two months.
Oh, that's funny.
That's funny.
You see what they're putting under my name?
Oh, you people are hilarious.
You people are having too much fun with your Chirons tonight, Dave.
Everybody's in a good mood.
Yeah.
Well, everybody was in a good mood for good reason because Donald Trump won and is now president of the United States.
Our short of the year, this was our viral short of the year.
This thing got millions and millions and millions of views across all the platforms.
This was from my interview a couple, was it maybe two months ago when Ron DeSantis was like, yeah, this is Florida.
Run over the protesters.
We also have a policy that if you're driving on one of those streets and a mob comes and surrounds your vehicle and threatens you, you have a right to flee for your safety.
And so if you drive off and you hit one of these people, that's their fault for impinging on you.
You don't have to sit there and just be a sitting duck and let the mob grab you out of your car and drag you through the streets.
You have a right to defend yourself in Florida.
You know, it's so funny, watching that back, it's like, it's not that ingenious.
It's not that brilliant.
It really isn't.
It's just obvious, real stuff, because that's what you should be allowed to do if someone is impinging on your rights and they think they can take the law into their hands and they think they can stop you from going to work or visiting your mom or whatever it might be.
And that one went mega viral, especially here in Florida, the only in Dade, which is like the official Miami pop cultural news account.
They started spreading that one.
And then people, I mean, all over Miami, people and everywhere, we're just seeing that.
And that's how it should be, people.
The celebration of the year, this was such a nice moment for me personally.
You know, I've mentioned Tulsi a couple of times on this stream and I was put, you know, I wanted her to be VP.
I think she's doing obviously an incredible job at DNI.
And JD's been an incredible VP.
But, you know, just for all the years when I met her years ago, when she was running as a Democrat, and if you go back to that interview, you know, from five years ago, you know, where I was kind of like, Tulsi, what are you doing?
You're not really one of them.
And over the years, personally and privately, and we've broken bread many times and we would talk about it.
And she finally got there and everything.
And then she ends up campaigning with Trump.
And then she becomes the director of national intelligence.
And I got invited to her swearing-in ceremony.
And this was definitely for me the celebration of the year.
I told her I was retiring, that my work was done because we got her.
Here's a couple of the podcast hits of the year.
What do you think the role of the government should be?
Not much.
I would say the founders basically got it completely right, that everything should be dealt with at the state and local level, and then the federal government should have a couple things that they're supposed to do.
What are your predictions for the finances of the average American?
I'm extremely bullish on the American economy right now, across the board.
Well, Mr. Rubin, turns out that you're here for the 500th episode of my podcast.
I was told this is the last episode.
Well, hopefully not.
Is that not true?
True?
I said to you, and I was kind of joking, as you were standing on the stoop of my house, leaving to go to the theater, I said to you, hey, Jordan, do you want me to come tonight and I'll crack a couple jokes about lobsters and some of the other funny references?
And you said, yeah, that would be a great idea.
And then I came.
The Orpheum was sold out.
It was the most people I had ever, you know, I'd been doing stand-up for years, but I had never done a 5,000-seat theater.
And I guess I crushed it.
And the whole CAA team was right there.
And I remember the two agents came right up to me.
They said, this show is amazing.
We're going to take this on tour.
You want to open for him?
I said, well, we should probably ask Jordan.
And then you immediately said yes.
And then it completely changed my life.
You know, Douglas, the line on this about the walls that Douglas has that I love, I love this.
And he said this years ago, was that one day the barbarians will be at the gate and we'll be debating what gender pronouns to call them.
And I think that's what happened to the liberals.
Did female MMA get so popular because it gave America's most violent romantic pairing, lesbian couples, a professional outlet?
This is around 2010, and we used to do a weekly segment about lesbian on lesbian crime.
There's a tremendous amount of it.
These women are kicking the crap out of each other.
Why?
And they're not being paid for it.
Yeah.
Why?
Could you live with that?
Do you want to get into the mind of a lesbian?
Come on.
All right, so those are a couple of my favorite hits.
My favorite in-person hit was Across the Pond.
I think it was, oh no, it was my second time meeting peers, but my first time doing a real like pro-sit-down debate with him.
And they brought in this communist.
And, well, I'll take a look.
If any of the things that Donald Trump's doing as per the economy or anything that we've seen in the last month is to be able to do it.
I don't think that they're going to work.
Because I am somebody who has made millions of pounds betting that growing inequality will reduce living standards.
And he's cutting taxes on the rich.
What I preach is to raise taxes and reduce the growing inequality.
That's what I preach.
Listen, I ain't here telling people.
You want the selling money away.
You want the power, but you are, because you want the power of the state, which has the guns, to say to Elon Musk and Peter Thiel and Mark Zuckerberg, we're going to take your money.
We're just going to pick a number and decide how much to take.
Do you give more than 1% of your money to charity?
I want the state.
You can voluntarily.
Ordinary people from the rich.
But do you do any of that yourself?
Listen, I'm not here to tell anybody.
Who put their money away?
I'm here to tell people how to do it.
This is what the left is.
All right, listen.
I'm going to go home and I'm going to bet on the collapse of the American middle class and it's going to happen.
And I'm here telling them it's going to happen.
And I'm here telling them.
Why don't you do that?
I ain't here pretending to be a good person.
I never said I was a good person.
Read the book.
You can see.
But I'm a good fucking economist.
People that look like me and sound like me don't get a chance to make millions of pounds betting on the economy.
Okay.
There's a reason that I'm doing this because I'm fucking good at it.
Okay.
I don't need to be here.
I could be on the beach in the Philippines.
Every single person that has come to America has it better the next generation, right?
That has worked.
Anyone that's watching this from an American perspective, think about your grandparents.
And guess what?
Your parents had it better than them and you have it better than them.
This generation right now is the first generation that that's actually a question.
That's actually true.
But the issue is not because capitalism doesn't work or free markets don't work or competition doesn't work.
It's because of the bureaucratic state and the absolute control and regulation that the government has put on.
I really do enjoy those things.
You know, the funny part of that, I mean, the guy was kind of offstage.
Pretty much the same, like not much there.
But like the simple ways you can turn things on so many of these lefties.
It's like, do you, I know you want someone else's money.
So I get it.
You want all of Zuckerberg's money and that's just fine.
And if you had his money, you'd figure out nice things to do with it.
But do you donate even 1% of your money?
He's a multi-millionaire, that kid.
And he's like, I never said I'm a good person.
And it's just, it's so thin.
Thin veneer and what's underneath?
Very nasty.
Here's five of the coolest crossovers of the year.
These were just some of my favorites.
Anybody who could stay with you and be a fan for as long as some of these people have been deserves to get as close to you as they could possibly get when they can.
From the creator that brought you naked gun and airplane, David Zucker.
It's Zucker.
But I always call you David Zucker.
Zucker.
You can call me anything.
It's fine.
And Dave Rubin sit down in an intense interview.
So you did have a guy by the name of OJ Simpson who was in these things.
I don't really want to talk about it.
OJ, the whole OJ thing.
If you don't mind, I'll just tell you this.
You guys decide to do this crazy farce comedy.
How does that happen?
We just wanted to make a career out of being a class of clowns.
I tip my cap, tip my hat to the Republicans, to the conservatives out here and what they did in this last election.
Again, I did not vote for Donald Trump, unlike people that suddenly turned around and kissing his ring and, you know, trying to feign like they're suddenly a supporter of his.
No, I did not vote for him, but I got to tell you something.
I'm not mad he won.
I'm not mad he won.
The courageous Democrats who were turfed from their own party now run the United States under the guise of Republicans in conjunction with Trump.
Well, like, who's going to predict that?
Well, I guess you think, well, the last won't be first.
It's, well, yeah, I guess that's, I guess they will.
Shows Sauron the sword, Anderil, the sword that was reforged with which the one ring was cut off Sorin's finger in the palantir, and he retakes the palantir for good.
And then Sauron is fooled into launching a premature attack.
And then that's how the Hobbits get to Mount Doom in Mordor and destroy the One Ring.
Those were some of my favorite interviews of the year, obviously.
You know, this one was interesting.
This is our, we're calling this the most random crossover because it's become very difficult for me to sit down with Democrats.
You know, every time we go to D.C. and Rumble's got great studios over there, we shoot out emails.
I think last time we were there, we shot about 20 emails to Republicans, 20 to Democrats.
Virtually every Republican either agrees to do it or they happen to not be in town, but we get responses from everybody.
The last time we were there, one Democrat actually did respond.
It was Ro Khanna from Silicon Valley, and we did sit down.
And, well, here we go.
Sanders is a notable exception.
He's more pure than any of us.
I still take money from individuals up to $3,300.
Sanders has literally never asked for a contribution from any individual.
He gets all his money from a grassroots money.
A lot of things you can criticize him for.
That's not one of them.
Right.
So I guess then I would want to know what Bobby meant by saying you got more money than anybody, 1.5 million from Big Pharma.
And then Bernie's answer was, I got all this money from small people.
But Bobby's accusation was, you got more from Big Pharma than anybody.
So if someone's 20 years old, they were biologically born a male, they're 20-year-old man now, and they do whatever they do to their body.
They can do whatever surgeries they want.
They take whatever drugs they want.
They dress differently.
They change their hair, all of those things.
You don't believe, or I don't want to put words in your mouth.
Do you believe that they've altered their gender?
I believe their gender is a woman.
That's what they want to be identified as.
And that's their gender is their gender.
Do you think they're biologically a woman?
Well, their gender is which is what I'm focused on is what they self-identify as.
There's a biological birth, but then there's the gender.
And that gender sometimes conflicts with what the biological birth was.
And in my view is what we should do is respect people's self-expression of their gender because it doesn't affect my life.
Except if you're someone in public policy who's part of a state that's taking kids away from parents because they are not affirming their gender.
And the fact that I had to sort of drag him into saying biological reality, I like the fact that he will sit down with me.
So we will leave it at that.
The biggest dark horse guest of the year, we had no idea when we sat down with Rob Herzov, who I sat down with twice.
He's a South African businessman.
And I first met him at ARC and he came up to me in the hallway.
And he's kind of tall, very tan, he has kind of glowing hair.
This guy comes up to me and he was like, you know, Dave, I have so many things that I want to tell you about my country.
Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
Phoenix said, you know, let's do it.
Let's sit down with this guy.
There's something interesting here.
And that interview blew up.
I think Elon retweeted this thing twice.
And this went worldwide.
Take a look.
But for 30 years, if you look at every single metric, health, education, employment, the country has gone backwards.
Every state-owned enterprise has been bankrupted.
South African Airways used to be the best airline in Africa, bankrupt.
ESCOM, Electricity Supply Commission, we don't have enough electricity.
We have load shedding, which means four, five, six hours a day we have no electricity.
The rail network's destroyed.
The ANC has destroyed our country, and it is a racist, kleptocratic, and ineptocratic government.
South Africa has gone backwards in fixed investment in infrastructure.
And if you go outside of the Western Cape, which is run by the opposition party called the Democratic Alliance, it's almost another world.
There are potholes in the roads, there's raw sewage in the street.
The country is falling apart.
Absolutely falling apart.
I see South Africa as Germany 1933.
And the Western world.
Macmillan, appeasement, everything's okay.
You can't say boo to black governments in Africa.
Well, Donald Trump has said, I'm not taking this anymore.
How did you feel when you saw the 59 people coming here?
Do you know what Cyril Romaposa called those people?
I called them cowards.
She's the coward.
They're not cowards.
It is edgy in South Africa.
It is dangerous.
I've had a lot of threats.
It's cost me a lot of money.
I've been kicked off boards, kicked out of companies that I founded.
I get deplatformed, but I'm through it all.
I don't care anymore because every day I get messages from people I know and people I don't know saying, thank you for giving us a voice.
Yeah, that interview right there, that ended up being the number one trending topic on X for the day, South Africa, because you remember that little window where suddenly everyone was talking about what's going on there and it had a lot to do with what Rob's doing.
And I think we're working on a South Africa trip in the fall, actually.
And, you know, I said to you guys earlier that one of the things that I love most about doing this is I get to meet these people from other parts of the world.
And then suddenly I don't know much about South Africa.
I meet this South African businessman and then I start chatting about all these things and you realize that the issues are kind of the same.
It's really magical.
Our live show of the year was definitely the show that we did in Tel Aviv.
And the craziest part of the show was that I didn't even hear it because I was in the green room.
But a minute before the show began, a rocket was shot from the Houthis to Yemen to Tel Aviv.
So the sirens start going off.
Everyone in the audience is getting their, you know, everyone has the same app and you get these push notifications, rocket, rocket, get to shelter.
But it turned out that the club that we were doing the show in was a bomb shelter.
It was underground cement.
The show was a bomb shelter.
So literally nobody moved, but you could suddenly feel this energy in there.
So I walk out of the green room and they're like, there's a bomb shelter.
There's a bomb, bomb, bomb.
And it just set up just a wonderful, wonderful night.
Ironically.
Please welcome Dave Rubinick.
Hello everybody.
I got to tell you guys, like, do you, I know it's crazy.
Like, it is just endlessly crazy here.
But do you also realize how absolutely amazing it is?
Oh wow!
Jesus!
Watch this.
Baha'ev everybody!
*applaudissements*
I didn't fall off the stage.
What did I tell you?
If I didn't fall off the stage.
Our trip of the year, definitely I've referenced it a couple times in this hour so far, was ARC in London.
It was just such a spectacular, wonderful event.
Take a look.
So what's this civilizational moment?
This civilizational moment is the opportunity that we have in front of us to wake up and to realize consciously and explicitly the nature of the dream that has enveloped us for the thousands of years of Judeo-Christian civilization.
That dream is the celebration, the worship, the deification of the principle of reciprocal, voluntary, self-sacrifice,
the sacrifice of self to the future, the sacrifice of self to the community as the necessary, inevitable, and revolutionary foundation of the civilization that makes us free and abundant.
And you can see all of those interviews and a whole bunch more all over our channel right now.
Our tweet of the year was this.
I put this up right after the election.
The thing that the Democrats and the media fear most is not that Trump is Hitler, it's that he's going to fix things so fast that everyone will realize how evil they are.
And I think, ladies and gentlemen, at this point, six months into this thing, most people realize that he is not Hitler and he damn well is fixing things.
And that leaves a real shadow on them.
Boy, look at who you called Hitler and then maybe it's like you guys are kind of lying about other things and we can see that too.
This is the meme of the year.
It was an intense experience.
You know, it just did the work.
Watched a lot of retarded people.
Spent time with them, observed them.
Watched all the retarded stuff they did.
It's a real theme with what you guys put together here.
All right, let's get to a couple locals community Q ⁇ A. And then remember, guys, we are introducing you to AI Dave, who will be hosting the room report while I'm gone at the end here.
He will be coming on live as an AI thing in a few minutes.
David says, does August, does this August seem less chaotic and uncertain politically than recent years?
Does it seem like it might be easier to go off the grid this year?
You know, that's a good question that, as I said, I've been so busy, I have not had a second to really even think about August or focus on it or be excited or be stressed or whatever might come up with it.
I just haven't had a moment yet.
But now that I'm doing this, it is popping into my mind that, you know, last year was election year, but that was tough to go off the grid just because it's the thick of what I do, right?
It's the heart of what I do.
The year before was the primary.
And if you remember, I didn't want to do it, but we felt that we had to.
I came back for one day in the middle of August for the Republican primary because Rumble was doing a live thing there.
And I felt like I really just had to be part of it.
And I was very conflicted about it because in some sense, it's like, ah, primary could happen without me, but they were building studios out there.
And I really wanted to help out.
You know, it's weird.
This year is particularly weird, I would say.
It does feel kind of calm right now, doesn't it?
Like the Iran thing happened.
We didn't get into thermonuclear World War III.
We've got the border under control.
There aren't crazy riots happening right now.
I would say there's, you know, one of the things that's going to be really hot in August is that we're going to get closer and closer to the New York City mayoral election.
So there's going to be a lot of talk about communism and Marxism and all that throughout the country.
That's going to burn hot, but it doesn't feel like there's anything major about to unfold.
Now, I could probably end up eating those words because that's how culture and politics move.
You just don't know when crazy things are going to happen.
And then, of course, the other crazy things that can happen are acts of God, and there could be hurricanes and earthquakes and storms and all kinds of stuff.
All of that being said, it does feel a little bit easier this year, I think.
Crafty Cat says, do you, David, and the kids, enjoy family games, or do you and David enjoy a good card or strategy game after the boys pass out?
Well, the main thing we've been enjoying after putting the boys down, and I love reading stories to them, we do two things at night.
So I read stories to them, and then we put them in their cribs.
And then the thing that they're really into is now they want me to tell them a story, but like I have to make up a story.
So I usually ask them a couple questions like, what kind of animals do you want in this story?
Do you want it to take place in a forest or a beach?
Should a dinosaur.
So I have them pick all of the ideas of the story and then I just kind of put together a crazy story.
What we do after, because usually that rolls to like 8, 8, 30, I mean, for the last two months, three months, we've been finishing The Sopranos, which we finally, as you know, we finally finished a couple days ago.
We're playing all sorts of games with them.
I mean, right now they're really into like art and building things.
So we're doing a lot with blocks and a lot of paint.
They're really into, we got these markers that they can paint on the windows.
So the windows of my house look like if someone just came over, they'd be like, is this an insane asylum?
Not too much on the card games, actually.
UH60 dude says, now that you've gotten into the tequila distilling game, great stuff, by the way, do you have any other side projects brewing?
Also, will you still be sipping that Klaas Azul?
So we do have a couple of new things that we're going to be launching next year, and we're trying to figure out a little bit more in the product space in general.
That's one answer there.
Look, you know, Klaas Azul, which everyone knows is the big, beautiful white and blue decanter, and it's about $180 a pop.
That is kind of the ubiquitous, if you want to introduce somebody to tequila tequila.
It's extremely expensive, mostly because of the bottle.
The tequila itself, I don't like saying bad things about it because I loved it for so long, but now having known much more about tequila, it's not the best tequila, right?
It's not 100% natural and there's probably some sugar in there and some other stuff, and they use a little bit less agave than we use and whatever.
But yes, if you pour somebody that doesn't drink tequila class azul on the rocks, almost everybody is going to love it.
So I don't like saying bad things about it.
However, Copal is much, much better.
It is lighter and the flavor palette is much richer.
There's no burn going down.
And actually, one of the things, I was going to mention this later, but one of the things that we're doing the day before I get back on the grid, so the day that Kopal came out, we did a blind taste test here with eight different tequilas.
And well, we're going to put that up the day before I come back and you will see what my reaction is.
And yes, I will lead with one part, which is that I 100% very easily knew what Copal was.
And no, we did not cheat in any way whatsoever.
I didn't even see what the tequilas were before the guys brought them into the room or anything else.
Okay, top five political moments of the year.
We're almost there to AI, Dave.
Top five political moments of the year.
Obviously, number one was Donald Trump's election win, like that one.
Pretty easy for number one.
I would say the number two most important thing happened quite literally the day before Donald Trump's win, which was Joe Rogan's endorsement of Donald Trump, which happened after his podcast and he did the ex-endorsement.
So he had Elon Musk on first, then he had Donald Trump on, then he finally made the endorsement of Donald Trump, which maybe, maybe I and you guys had a little something to do with that.
Like I was calling Joe out on that for quite some time.
Like, get there, Joe.
It's kind of the same thing I've been doing from doing with Marr for years.
Get there.
And by the way, Marr broke red with the guy too.
All right, what's number three?
What's number three?
Number three was, oh, the LA wildfires, which obviously had a huge effect on the country.
Not just, it wasn't just they had an effect on LA.
They had a huge effect on the country because it suddenly brought the story of identity politics back because wokeness had infected the entire institutional layer of what was going on in Los Angeles from the fire chief to the mayor and everybody else.
So here's a bit of the fires, which were absolutely devastating.
And then this utterly insane moment with evil lizard person Gavin Newsom.
*Burrish*
Governor, you got a second?
Governor!
Governor, I live here, Governor.
That was my daughter's school, Governor.
Please tell me what you're going to do.
I'm not going to hurt him, I promise.
I'm literally talking to the president right now to specifically answer the question of what we can do for you and your daughter.
Can I hear it?
Can I hear your call?
Because I don't believe it.
I'm sorry.
There's literally, I've tried five times.
That's why I'm walking around to make this.
Why is the president not taking your call?
Because it's not going through.
Why?
Everything about that.
I'm literally on the phone with the president.
Can I hear?
Oh, I'm literally not on the phone with the president.
Evil snake mother.
You got it.
Number four, I would say the number four political moment of the year is just from a couple weeks ago because this, well, you want to ask to the previous question of like what could happen in August?
I do think there's something here because that's how much I trust Tulsi Gabbard.
And she said there is irrefutable evidence that Barack Obama was involved in the Russia conspiracy to take out Donald Trump.
Here she is announcing that.
There is irrefutable evidence that detail how President Obama and his national security team directed the creation of an intelligence community assessment that they knew was false.
They knew it would promote This contrived narrative that Russia interfered in the 2016 election to help President Trump win, selling it to the American people as though it were true.
Yeah, so we will see what happens with August and Tulsi's little operation over there.
And number five, I did not know how to make crack until last week, and then Hunter Biden did a podcast.
The only difference between crack cocaine and cocaine is sodium hypercarbonate and water and heat, literally.
That's it.
That's it.
And those things are pretty much free if you go to like a science store.
This is free.
You can go to your neighborhood convenience store and just get...
How different is the experience?
It's vastly, vastly different.
I don't want to tell people how to make it, but I'll tell them where to get it and how to make it, but I don't want to tell them how to make it.
Well, I guess I know what I'm doing in August.
All right, a couple more questions.
AI, Dave, on the way.
Elizabeth says, I know you and David don't do a lot of TV time for the boys, but do they have a favorite show to watch?
The big thing right now, so really we were only doing bluey with them for a bit, and we don't do much TV time at all.
They're really into the land before time right now.
There was a TV version.
Everyone remembers, or if you're of a certain age, you remember the movies, The Land Before Time.
There's a TV version of it, and it's kind of light and fun.
There could be a little scary stuff with the big Tyrannosaurus Rex, but they also break into song, and there's a lot about nature and fun.
You know, it's just great.
But we're doing like half hour.
That's pretty much.
Also, Puff and Rock, which you guys must be watching, I would assume.
Puff and rock on, yeah, you dig that.
Goldie says, hey, Dave, there are lots of amazing remote off-the-grid geography up here in Canada.
Have you ever considered a trip this way?
A family whitewater rafting trip would be awesome.
I'd be happy to give you some suggestions.
You know, that actually does sound great.
One of the few things, I never say anything negative about Florida, of course.
But, you know, being here in the summer, it's hot.
It's really, really hot.
And especially with kids, they want to be outside all day long.
And we do.
I took something that Jordan said to me or I'd said publicly many times to heart, which was that the best way to parent is you want to just send those kids out and you want to make sure that they're safe and everything, but like let them exhaust themselves every day, like jumping in the pool and climbing trees and running around, doing all that crazy stuff.
So that at the end of the day, putting them to bed is not difficult.
And it really isn't.
They are tired.
They are tired.
But it is hot as hell.
There is a lot of sweat here.
We are all dripping all day long.
So yes, the idea of doing something maybe in Canada, a cooler environment, does actually sound great.
So I will keep that in mind.
And we'll log your name on local so we can get in touch with you.
Dave, have you heard about the Seinfeld Lost episode?
I found a PDF of it and it's kind of fabulous with Elaine buying a gun.
What?
Wait, PDF meaning it's just a script and they never shot it?
I need to find out more about this.
All right, the guys are going to do a little research.
That's incredible.
Okay, they're asking me for a couple of my August predictions.
We're going to move fast here because I can sense that people want AI, Dave.
Well, they gave me some topics here.
So the Democrats, what's going to happen to the Democrats?
I mean, look, look at this collection, this clown car collection of people.
And that doesn't even include Mom Dami and Omar Fateh and Schumer and just these losers.
It's just a bunch of losers, all highlighted by the man with those veneers and the slick back hair, Gavin Newsom.
And the fight for the heart of the party for the next couple of years is do you guys just mask off, go completely insane, and that's where all the energy is?
Or is there some way that the old machine, the Schumer, and I would even include Pelosi in this because I don't think she hates America.
I think she's evil and corrupt.
And all right, the children and the children and all that stuff.
But like, are they able to ally with Gavin to stop the maniacs just so you get like a corporate evil monster?
I don't know if that's going to be the fight.
For the Republicans, I assume we have some pictures of Republicans here.
Do we have pictures of Republicans?
We must have Republicans.
You're funny.
You guys are funny.
For the Republicans, look, I hope, I hope that the Republicans just kind of keep doing what they're doing.
Let's get more of those trade deals in.
We just got great news out of the EU.
Let's keep going with the ICE deportations.
Keep the border strong.
Over the last couple of days, Trump is messaging really hard on Hamas.
Just give up, give the hostages back, end this war.
Maybe there could be some peace deals on the horizon.
I just think keep going, keep going.
Don't be distracted by the lies of the mainstream media and everything else.
Disasters.
Do I have any predictions about disasters?
Well, I mean, certainly disasters.
We have just a generic disaster.
Yeah, I mean, there could be a fire.
There could be an earthquake.
There could be, you know, we almost had a tsunami that turned out to be not much, just kind of a surfer's wave tsunami in Hawaii.
What was that, yesterday or a day and a half ago?
A celebrity prediction.
Who are you going to get me here?
The baby oil queen.
A celebrity prediction.
Do I predict that anything, well, something will happen with the celebrity.
You know, one thing that happened last year is if I'm not, can you see what day did Pee Wee Herman die?
That was two years ago.
Was that two years ago?
But what was the actual date that Pee-Wee Herman died?
I need the death of Pee-Wee Herman.
So Pee-Wee Herman died on July 30th, did you say?
So the second to last day of July.
But I didn't know.
Somehow, I guess I missed that in July.
And the last thing that I did as I was shutting the TV before August 1st was I suddenly saw Pee Wee Herman on HBO Max or one of the things.
It was like all Pee Wee Herman stuff.
And I was like, wow, Pee-Wee Herman must have died.
So even though it had technically happened in July, I didn't know about it.
But I somehow was able to figure it out because I was like, there's only one reason you'd be, unless he was caught in the theater again, there's only one reason you'd be showing all those Pee-Wee Herman movies.
Something positive.
What are you going to show me?
Ah, look at that.
That's very pleasant.
That's very pleasant.
Something positive that will happen in August?
I mean, who knows?
You know what?
How about this?
I hope you guys do something fun in August.
I hope this is the, look, why do I do it in August?
August, if there's one month of the year where it's a little bit easier to get away and people are working a little bit less and kids maybe are at camp or coming home or preparing for school and like this is the time to do it guys.
So enjoy your August.
We got a lot of content for you.
So let me just roll out some of the content planned for you.
But I do want you guys off the machines too, but we have some great, great things for you.
So tomorrow, and I thought this would be the perfect way to just kind of launch off the grid, the, I don't even know how to describe him properly, Eckhart Tole, the power of now, the legendary, I would say, thinker and philosopher.
And everyone knows who Eckhart Tole is.
I've had him on the show many times.
We've become good friends.
He was here for dinner a month or two ago.
He's a magical human being.
He's almost like Yoda in human form.
We're going to sit down and we'll air it tomorrow.
Sorry, the landscapers are having, they're not taking any time off, apparently.
We will talk about getting off the grid and why I think this is so important.
And he talks about some of his ideas around that.
Then we have a bunch of interviews coming out with all sorts of people, but Save Steel will be on August 2nd.
The documentary around my stem cell recovery, which the first time I saw the trailer was just with you guys just now.
I can't wait to watch the whole thing.
That'll be on August 4th.
We've got some South Park reaction stuff, which those always end up being our biggest news of the year, crazy.
I did a sit-down with Dr. Phil also about getting off the grid and how to escape all this crazy stuff.
That'll come out August 9th.
The Hungary documentary that we mentioned before will be August 11th.
Sit-down with Clay Travis talking about the sports world and everything else, but just not all the political nonsense.
August 16th.
The Israel documentary that we showed you the doc before, that will be August 18th.
Little more South Park on the 22nd.
I sit down with my good friend Dr. Drew on August 23rd.
Oh, and then we did.
We shot a really fun thing, you know, because people keep talking about the glow up.
As of this morning, I'm at the lowest weight I have been at in 15 years.
And it has a lot to do with basketball and getting things right and eating right.
So we did this fun grocery haul and the 10 things that I can't live without, which we shot in my kitchen.
Then we have a really interesting interview with a guy by the name of Carl Barney, who's done an awful lot of stuff and made millions and millions of dollars, if not hundreds of millions, in real estate and education.
I met him a couple of years ago, and he wrote a book on happiness.
And what he did, he's probably in his, I don't know, early 70s or so.
He has a ton of money to give away.
And instead of waiting to die to give the money to the people that he loves, he gave, I think, 24 people, was it 24 people?
He gave them their inheritance while he's alive.
And all he asked in exchange for that is they had to write a plan on how it would help them be happy.
It's a really, really wonderful story.
That'll come out on August 30th.
And then on 9-1, the day before I come back, it's Labor Day, we do a little tequila tasting because we didn't want to give you anything too heavy for Labor Day.
I'm told we have a, oh, and I should tell you that we do know who our special guest back on the grid, the guest host is going to be.
And there is that person with a filter over their head.
Okay, so this is the moment everyone has been waiting for.
As I have mentioned, as I have mentioned, we're good to go, guys?
Yeah.
Oh, so first, yes, okay.
Couple things here.
So we are now going to introduce you to AI, Dave.
So about, I don't know, about eight months ago, Phoenix and I were sitting down and we were talking about what our plans are for August and what we could do.
And, you know, that we want to, the reason we do so much content, I mean, not only do we, these are, these docs especially are really great.
But, you know, if you don't put up any content in August, we get completely kicked out of the algorithm.
And then, you know, people then don't see our videos literally in September and October because you have to just work to get back in.
So one of the things we want to do is put up plenty of content so that we stay in the algorithm.
And I assure you, this is quality stuff that we're putting up there.
But the other part, the other part that we thought of was, well, what about AI?
We're talking about AI a lot.
Is there a way we can leverage AI to do a little fun stuff during August?
And we reached out to a couple AI companies.
And, well, I guess this is the right time to introduce you to AI Dave.
I think we have him on the line right now.
It'll take a moment to connect.
AI Dave should be here.
Let's see.
Connor, connect us with AI Dave.
All right.
AI Dave.
How are you, my friend?
Hey there.
I'm doing all right.
Just kicking it in the studio.
What's up with you?
Well, you know, this is my last day being on the grid.
I'm very excited for August.
Are you going to be able to handle the show without me?
Going off the grid, huh?
Sounds like an adventure.
Honestly, I think we'll manage, but I'm sure you'll be missed around here.
Just make sure you enjoy your time off.
You deserve it.
That's the plan.
Now, AI Dave, one of the things that I understand is that you can actually see me right now.
What am I holding in my hands right here?
You've got a pair of glasses in your left hand.
Looking sharp, my friend.
Absolutely unbelievable.
Can you tell me what I'm wearing?
You're rocking a gray jacket over a white t-shirt.
Looking casual yet classy.
Why, thank you very much.
And, you know, I was thinking, AI Dave, I'm not sure I'm going to do it, but I was thinking of maybe going with a super, super short haircut during August.
What do you think?
You know what?
A super short haircut could definitely work for you.
It's a bold move, but hey, why not go for it?
It's your adventure month.
Make the most of it and switch things up.
All right, I think this is wild.
So, AI Dave, in case you end up hosting the show and figuring out, you know, having to talk about the news while I'm gone, can you tell me, like, what are your thoughts on somebody like Gavin Newsome?
Gavin Newsome is a complete disaster.
He's the guy who ruined San Francisco with his bullshit policies and then somehow got promoted to destroy the whole state of California.
Everything he touches turns to trash, except his own bank accounts.
He's pulled every woke trick in the book and has done nothing to actually fix the problems.
California is a mess thanks to this politician who couldn't find his way out of a paper bag.
Total failure.
That's my mind.
Wait, let me try to do something not political.
What's your favorite show?
What's your favorite television show?
Golden Girls, man.
It's got classic humor, great writing, and those ladies had impeccable comedic timing.
Can't beat it.
I mean, absolutely incredible.
So guys, one of the things we're Going to be doing with AI Dave is right now, will I ultimately be replaced by AI Dave?
That is the question.
Will he be hosting the shows on days that I'm not feeling well or I got to travel or whatever?
We're going to figure all of that out.
We're going to be introducing you to him.
But you can go to dave Rubin.com right now and you can interact with AI Dave.
You can ask him questions.
You can talk to him, share thoughts with him.
It is live right now.
It's live and it's absolutely free.
Absolutely free, people.
Right now, you can go to daveerubin.com, talk to AI Dave, and did I just put myself out of a job?
We shall see.
All right.
So that's it.
Wow.
That is it.
I don't even know what to say right now.
Hour and 40 in.
I am unbelievably, unbelievably appreciative of all of you guys.
Every single person that tunes into this thing every day.
I hope more than anything else that when you tune into this thing, you feel better after.
It is a crazy world.
What is our tagline?
Crazy world, same views.
I hope that we've offered a little sanity and a little laughter.
You guys have been along for personal and private and public adventures with me.
Every single year, this thing gets bigger.
From launching at Tequila and launching new shows and expanding the team and all of these things, you guys have been there for part of it.
A particular thanks to everybody in the locals community who subscribes and keeps us independent and keeps us going.
We will be doing a post-game show, by the way.
So then I'll share the real secret stuff in a minute or two at rubinreport.locals.com.
But, you know, we grind, not just I, we grind and grind and grind, like I'm sure you all do.
We grind and grind and grind for 11 months of the year with the payoff of taking some downtime.
And I take this downtime to reset the brain, really.
It is just a full-on brain reset.
This year I will catch up on some reading and I will also escape and be staring at the ocean for a while.
And I'll be fishing with the kids and relaxing.
And we're doing some big projects around the house and all of those things.
But when I started doing this, it was really a joke.
It was just like, man, could I do it?
And we had one employee and it was like, all right, see if you could do it.
And what I've realized now is that this thing that I really was doing sort of as a joke for myself has become an integral part of my life and maybe one of the reasons that I didn't go insane doing this.
Need not mention names, but there's an awful lot of political pundits who have gone off the deep end.
If you're watching this, you probably don't include me as one of them.
But a lot of them have.
And I think part of the reason is because you get caught in that hamster wheel.
You get caught in that algorithmic thing.
And by the way, you don't have to be a host to be caught in that.
We all know that, right?
Like we're all obsessed with staring at this thing and doom scrolling.
And, you know, I've talked about it many times before, but the infinite scroll of the internet.
The internet used to end.
You would go to CNN and you'd look at all the stories and the page would end and that would be it.
And then they created infinite scroll and it just never ends anymore and what that does to your brain over time.
And I really try.
Sometimes, you know, we'll be sitting at the beach in the middle of August and David will be reading or doing something and he'll be like, he'll be like, I don't understand.
You were just staring at the ocean for three hours.
Like you're just literally staring at the ocean.
You're not sleeping.
You're not reading.
You're not doing anything.
And I kid you not, I like organize my brain like a filing cabinet and I start like purging some things out of my head, thoughts, political things, whatever it might be.
I just start working some things through and I'm like, I'm done with that, moving on, done with that.
And then I start thinking about some things that I want to focus on in the year, personal things and professional things and everything else.
And I get and I fill up that well and that cup and then I'm ready to roll in September.
And all of that is thanks to you guys who watch this show.
So a big thank you to you.
A big thank you to everybody in this room with me right now who does all of the stuff that's somehow like, I don't know how the lights go on.
I really don't.
I'm not even sure how the internet works or any of it.
But we do this every single day.
And they show up and we put on something that I'm super, super proud of.
So I guess I'm bidding you adieu.
I'm getting a little emotional.
I'm going to miss you guys.
All right.
Thank you for watching.
I love you.
I appreciate you.
Postgame show 30 seconds.
Rubenreport.locals.com.
And as they say in that old song, see you in September.
Don't forget to check out our encore presentations and we'll see you in September.
We'll see you in September.
Until then, have a great day.
