As you know, this is year nine of me disappearing for August.
No phone, no TV, no iPad, no computer, no Game Boy, no nothing.
I am going to disconnect from the Matrix, spend some time with the family, enjoy myself, work on some self-care and house projects, and just get away from the endless rat race, hamster wheel, the chase of the machines, and all of that stuff.
And we got a big one for you today.
We did something, we got a couple really great announcements, and we did something different today than we've ever done on the show before.
So we just did a very quick run-through of the show.
But normally we set up the show together.
We write the show together.
We do a big run-through, make sure we know exactly what we're doing and everything else.
The guides basically did everything today.
And I'm just going to roll through.
It's going to be a recap of some of our favorite moments of the year, some of the milestones.
We're going to tease some things that are coming out in August.
And most importantly, later on in this hour, we are going to introduce you to AI Dave.
I have been teasing this for quite some time, but we have been working on AI Dave, who will sit here in this studio, in my chair, in my clothes, and he is going to host the Rubin Report.
There'll be abbreviated shows, but he will host the Rubin Report while I am gone in August.
So stories that I will not know about, because I will not be on the grid.
We're going to tell them.
Phoenix and the team are going to tell AI Dave what's going on, and he's going to report back.
And when I get back, we will see if AI Dave and real life Dave, if that's what I am, if we match up in thoughts and everything else.
We just did a little extra.
We've been testing AI Dave for the last couple months and many generations of it.
And you know, AI learns and learns and learns the more that you feed it and the modeling just gets better and better and better.
And we were just fiddling it with him right before the show.
And it's just absolutely spectacular.
I think we are doing something that is so on the cutting edge of technology and what media will become and all of that.
So I'm super excited for that.
Very quickly, I just, you know, this really, this was our 13th season.
You know, I said to you guys the other day, I was a little torn sort of deciding what season we're counting this as because, you know, the official Rubin report began when I was on the Young Turks.
It seems like many, many lifetimes ago, in February of 2013.
And by close now, because we consider our season closed at the end of July and we start our seasons in September, this is officially the close of season 13.
I was sort of internally, because I was the lefty and I don't even think back to those Young Turks days.
I kind of wanted to wipe those first two years away, but we're going to count them.
So this is the end of season 13 of the Rubin Report.
Season 14 will begin the day after Labor Day in September, which I think this year is actually September 1st, if I'm not mistaken.
What day am I officially back?
September 2nd, okay.
And it's just been a huge year.
It was our biggest year ever, again, which we've just, I really, it's really due to the people that are in this room right now that make sure I know where I am and what I'm doing and that nothing ever screws up.
I really have, I truly, truly, I know everyone says it, but I really do have the best team in the biz.
And just quickly on the numbers, I don't want to belabor it, but we've just, really, just absolutely crushed it.
In this last season alone, we had over 614 million views, as you can see.
That's a 25% increase from the year before.
And the year before, we crushed it.
And the year before, we crushed it and all that.
So I'm just very appreciative of everyone that's here.
And I'm really appreciative of you guys.
You know, we also hit the three mil subscriber thing the other day, which my goal is to hit it by today.
We hit it a couple days ago.
And it's just been an incredible, this really has been, I would say, the best year for everything that I've done professionally and absolutely personally.
And I think we're just at the beginning again.
I mean, that's what I always say to my guys.
You know, we launched a tequila this year.
We launched a new network, which I'll talk a little bit more about later.
Like we just doubled down on everything.
I think we've hopefully, you know, it's the thing that you guys always say to me if I'm at the airport or I'm at the store or whatever, that we've brought a little sanity back to the mess that is politics and culture and everything else.
And that it's fun and light.
And I'm really going to miss you guys.
You know, we have been so busy this last week.
And then I promise we'll get to it in just a sec.

So, since our season starts in September, let's go all the way back to last September.
And this is really what I loved about seeing this this morning when the guys wrote this up was, man, so much has changed so quickly in this country.
It's so spectacular.
And the highlight for me in September was I went to the Rescue the Republic conference rally in DC.
And this was really the first time.
This was just a few weeks after Bobby Kennedy had, you know, officially left the Democratic Party.
He had announced in August when I was off last year that he was going to support Donald Trump.
The MA thing and the MAGA thing were starting to collide, but everybody was still like, what's really going on here?
And at that rally where Jordan Peterson was there and Brett Weinstein was there and Russell Brand was there and Bobby Kennedy was there, obviously, and a whole bunch of people, I opened up the event with Jordan Peterson.
And to see all of the MAGA hats in the crowd with the MAHA banners, I knew something special was brewing.

Everyone's talking about the political alliance and all that.
But you and Jordan to me just did something that is very different than the political part of this thing.

We live in a world where if you have an opinion or even want to question what the status quo opinions are, it's cancellation, cancellation, cancellation, cancellation.
In the 60s and 70s, the Democrat Party were the party of free speech and civil rights and crushing out all these great heroes and now they're about oppression and control.

We want this nation healed and unified and we need leadership like Bobby Kennedy, like President Trump.
The reality is that maybe people don't like President Trump's language or how he says things or his personality or his style, but they can't deny if they just compare the facts.
It's really been an incredible day representing the Y-10 thing that I have been yammering on about for years for battling between politicians who don't want to let go of power.
It's really been an unbelievable day with Jordan Peterson and Russell Brand and RFK Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard and Brett Weinstein and a whole slew of people.
And we shall see.
I think we got a chance.
I mean, how cool to look back on that.
And again, it feels like a lifetime ago, but that was just the beginning when it started coming together, when the disaffected Democrats, the political ones, not like the online ones, when they finally, the Bobby Kennedys and the Tulsis and even someone like Russell, all these people started being like, maybe we could make this happen.
Brett Weinstein, who set that thing up, who was a professor at Evergreen State only, you know, seven or eight years ago before he got canceled and literally hunted off campus by a bunch of crazy woke social justice warriors.
Like these were people that would have never been Republicans.
And that's the beautiful thing that MAGA did and that has led to so much of the success that we get to talk about on the show every day.
And it was, as I said there, it was the thing that I was yammering about.
I feel like if I do nothing else in my career that we had a little something to do with this incredible, and I mean it we, I mean we like in this room, but I mean we, you watching this, we all had something to do with this incredible alliance that stopped the machine, right?
It stopped the Autopen man and the woman nobody wanted, and it started the resurgence of America.
It's absolutely incredible.
And speaking of the resurgence of America, then what happened in October?
Well, if you listen to CNN and the New York Times, there was a giant Hitler Nazi-like rally at Madison Square Garden.
However, I was there with Sage Steele and Michael Knowles.
It was a Donald Trump rally.
It was amazing.
Hulk Hogan was there who just passed.
And Dr. Phil was there and Rudy Giuliani and all the cast of characters were there.
I feel like my life is a living, breathing, walking example of what he just said right there.
And we've become good friends.
Actually, we'll have more on this in a moment.
But Tony, then when I, a few months after that, when I blew out my knee in 15 tears and it was just a mess and I was done, I called Tony and I said, who is the best doctor in the world to talk to?
And he connected me with Dr. Richie Striano, who fixed my knee.
We'll have more on that in just a second.
But you could just feel it with Tony, like the gruffness of the voice and the reel and the presence and his house is the fact that he welcomed us into his house.
He has a slide from upstairs, like a whirly, swirly, crazy slide that goes into the basement.
But Ted and I had wanted to do that for a long time.
And he's got just a great staff over there.
That was just a fun day.
February was one of my favorite months of the year.
We got to go to Jordan Peterson's ARC Conference, the Alliance for Responsible Citizenship in London.
And then I did a debate at the Oxford Union, which really is, it's the most prestigious debate situation literally in the world.
We won our debate.
I was very proud about that.
I think I gave really a fantastic speech, which you can find on our channels.
And here's a little recap of ARC London, which was represented by over 200 countries there, really.
And what ARC is all about is it is a counter to the WEF, a counter to the World Economic Forum.
Instead of organizing from an organization up top that will tell the peons how to do, how to live and how to operate and what they're allowed to do and all of those things, and you will owe nothing unlike it, ARC is about how do we empower the individual to build proper systems from the bottom up.

So here's a bit from ARC and my Oxford Union debate.
Before this thing, if you had something bad to say about somebody, you basically had to say it to their face and you might get punched.
And you know what?
It was probably good.
It was probably good.
That's how you dealt with bullies.
But when you can be anonymous and you can have burner accounts and you can mob people and you can go after their work and their livelihoods and their families, we have weaponized the mob to a point that good, decent people, including you, including your parents, including your grandparents and your friends and your family, are silencing themselves.
And that is way more dangerous than someone else coming to silence you.
We have done this to ourselves in the West.
People that live in closed societies where they don't have free speech would kill, literally kill, to be having a debate about whether cancel culture should exist or not, because they live in a place that canceling basically means you get bitted.
Yeah, and I have to say I'm incredibly proud that we won that debate.
You know, I really, I got off stage and I was like, I did what I could do there.
And you just don't know.
And they do something very cool.
It's very old school and cool.
Most people don't know this about the debate.
The way they decide who wins the debate.
So the debate hall was jam-packed, absolutely jam-packed.
And when you walk out, you walk out.
There are two doors you can walk through.
And which door you go through is your vote.
So you can say yay or nay on the premise of the debate.
And I didn't know what was going to happen because unfortunately, Oxford, which has been an institution of higher learning for over a thousand years, it has gone largely woke.
There were trans flags all over the place.
It was very clear.
There was a lot of kind of like Hamas support and all that.
I had no idea which way it was going to go.
Actually, as I was walking out, Phoenix said to me, that was the best speech you've ever given.
And he does not bullshit me.
And if I don't give a good speech, he tells me.
But I did not know what was going to happen.
And we did win that debate.
And I was very, very proud of that, obviously.
And just quickly on the arc thing, you know, one of the cool things there, we showed you that quick flip through of all the guests and everything.
You know, when I meet people from all over the world, it's one thing when we talk about American politics here and how our culture war is and everything else.
But one of the coolest things that I've been privileged to be part of while doing this show is that I meet these people from all over the world, whether they're from South Africa or from North Korea or whether they're from Mexico or Finland.
And to talk to all of these people who are somehow one way or another, despite how different our countries are and how far they might be apart, all kind of seeing the world in the same way, seeing the encroachment of authoritarianism, caring about the same things that I care about, trying to be in the same fight that I'm in, which is the fight that you're in, it's absolutely incredible.
Absolutely, absolutely incredible.
In March, I did a really fun event up in West Palm with the Harvard Republicans.
And then we'll show you one clip of my favorite appearance of the year on TV, which was on Gutfeld.
If Twitter went down for 24 hours, I would basically have no idea what's going on in the world.
Now try to imagine it the other way.
Okay, if ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, New York Times, Washington Post, throwing a couple others, if they all went down for 24 hours, we'd be free.
So the entire mainstream layer, if it went away tomorrow, you all laughed at that joke for a reason.
If it went away tomorrow, we'd all basically be okay.
And if anything, we'd probably be better off because it has done such a negligent job of what its mission was supposed to be.
If Twitter, the place where it's literally everything, if that went away, we would almost have no touch points that we could agree on or figure out how to get movies or anything.
All right, so I just love doing that.
That was kind of an intimate little thing that we did for the Harvard Republicans over there.
And then my favorite TV appearance for the year by far was this one on Gutfeld.
New Jersey police chief is accused of harassing co-workers by spiking their coffee with Adderall and Viagra, defecating on the floor, even stabbing one officer's genitals with a hypodermic needle.
He snuck hot peppers into co-workers' food.
He sent sex toys and gay pride flags to their homes.
Did you say he put Adderall and Viagra in their coffee?
Yes.
That would be completely ridiculous.
And that is why he is the number one host in late night television, because he brings Dave Rubin on.
April, there were a couple of really great personal moments.
These were professional moments, but they all felt like personal moments to me.
First off, just out of nowhere, the day before this happened, I was invited to D.C. to a private event with Benjamin Netanyahu, and it was me and about, I don't know, maybe 10 other people.
And we sat around a table and the man, look, whether you love him, whether you hate him, whatever your feelings on any of that are, he was such an unbelievably impressive public figure.
He walks into the room, he says hi to everybody, and then he sits down and he says, listen, nothing is off limits.
Whatever you want to ask me is fine.
He said, I like, and I really like that he did this.
It's a good lesson in public speaking or in just intimate talks, the best way to do it if you're a public person.
He had a piece of paper in front of him.
He said, listen, ask me absolutely anything, but I'd like all the questions first.
And then I saw him writing the questions down, kind of writing arrows to each one.
And then he figured out how to like tell this incredible story for about three hours And nothing was off limits.
It was really, really just unbelievably impressive.
Then I had one of the great moments for me personally because somebody whose music has just affected me in ways I can't even explain.
And if there's any music playing in my house on any given day, there's always some Frankie Valley, 91-year-old Frankie Valley.
We did this in Fort Myers.
I got to interview him before the show.
And it was just on a, we're going to show a little bit of it later, but it was just wonderful.
There I am.
I was showing him the kids, you know, the thing he got most excited about, 91 years old, to get somebody excited about, oh, I love Sherry and walk like a man.
Like, okay, fine.
But when I started telling him, hey, my kids dance to your music every day, that's when he really got into it.
And that was just an absolutely wonderful moment.
And then I got, so I met one hero of my mind, of my life right there.
And then right before that, I had a sit-down with David Zucker, who is the creator of Airplane, co-creator of Airplane and writer and director and of Naked Gun.
And he's done scary movies and a whole bunch more.
Just love him.
And by the way, the new Naked Gun that has nothing to do with him, they kicked him out, perhaps because he's a conservative in Hollywood, and they gave it to Seth McFarlane.
It's literally coming out tomorrow.
And they replaced Leslie Nielsen with Liam Neeson because I guess their names sound familiar.
I'm sure it's going to be horrible.
But here I am talking to David Zucker.

So one of the coolest things about that is that David actually, so he wrote Naked Gun 4, which is kind of the rebooted Naked Gun.
Now, there is the Seth McFarlane Naked Gun, which comes out tomorrow, but the real Naked Gun 4, David wrote it.
The studios rejected it.
Of course, when they realized how bad the Seth McFarlane version is, they asked him to come in and fix it, and he declined.
Like, this is a guy who has serious, like, he has ethics and pride in his work.
He gave me the actual script of Naked Gun 4, and I've read it like four times now.
It's absolutely hilarious.
They can't call it Naked Gun 4 because they own the rights to it, the studio, but I'm going to try to help him make it.
Like, I'm going to try to raise money.

The big thing that happened to me physically this year was that, as you know, in February, I crushed my knee playing basketball, went up for a layup, came down in a crazy way.
I heard pop, crack, crackle, glass, popcorn, like crazy amount of tears.
A guy that wasn't even playing on the court with us started screaming.
Like it was that bad and loud and everything.
That happened in February.
On April 10th, via Tony Robbins, I met Dr. Richie Striano in Naples, drove across Alligator Alley, went over to Naples to do stem cells.
Here's just a tiny bit.
We shot a full documentary, which we're going to release in August 4th, about my recovery and about stem cells in general.
This is cutting edge technology where your body can fix itself.
I came down at the end after playing about three hours on a layup, crushed my knee.
I heard pops, cracks, crinkles, crunches like glass and popcorn as if you stepped on in a bag.
I'm actually kind of speechless.
Like I thought probably I was never playing again.
You have stuff inside of you that can heal yourself.
I mean, it's completely counter to the way we do medicine, which is we're going to, you know, use some pharmacology to put something in you, hopefully to fix you, versus, oh, it's in you already.
That's just a radically different way of looking at things.

What's incredible about the Holy Land is that it is the Holy Land.
It is the center in some sense of the modern world.
All of our history is built around the stories of the Bible, and you are literally walking in the steps that Jesus walked when you are in Jerusalem.
To me, what it looks like, especially when I'm here, and that's why I'm feeling it so strongly right now, it feels like what it's done is basically taken all of you and this entire country and taken coal and it just keeps grinding it and grinding it, you know, condensing it and condensing it, and it's left a diamond.

I'm 41 years old.
Being held captive for 54 days.
You know, at one point, I had to entertain them for over 13 hours.
I had to play with them cards, make them happy, make them laugh, you know, make them hungry.
And that conversation that I had with that young woman, Moran, she was kidnapped at the Nova Festival.
She was there selling jewelry.
Her mom is Moroccan, so she even knew Arabic and tried to speak Arabic with them.
They took no mercy on her, of course.
Literally would make her cook food, the Hamas guys that were keeping her in a bed ridden with bugs and all this stuff and no heat and anything.
They would give her literally a capful.
I had to ask her again when she said it.
It was a capful of water a day, and she had broken legs.
They gave her surgery with no anesthesia.
I mean, it's, and it's just telling you guys like that, to watch someone that has lived through that and look in their eyes while they tell you that story.
Part of the reason you actually are part of the reason I created Copal because I was hanging in LA with all of my conservative friends and you all drink whiskey.
You know, that sort of proves the point that you people put that in there yourselves about yourself.
That's really something.
You know, people don't believe this, but when I was in third grade, there was a kid in my class who was kind of nuts.
Back then, we said retarded or whatever he was.
He was nuts.
I get ADHD.
That didn't even exist.
He was just this Crazy kid, and people do not believe this.
This was a public school, it was a good school.
But instead of taking him out or putting him in the slow class or whatever, they just literally, someone, the janitor, brought a giant box in, I kid you not, a box that was like for a washer or a dryer, and he cut the top out and they just put him in it so he could see the ceiling and he could be in the class and hear the rest of the stuff.
That's what it was like growing up in the 80s.

So I signed every single bottle that was shipped out from the first couple thousand bottles that we sent.
I signed a sticker that we put in the boxes and they were sent.
The reason we did it that way, I wanted to sign the bottles myself, but it was going to end up being a logistical nightmare having to go to the warehouse, open up all the cases, sign all the bottles, put them back into the case, then get them ready for shipping.
We couldn't do it.
So we thought, all right, we'll sign the sticker, throw it in there.
You can either obviously put it on the bottle yourself, or you can put it elsewhere, or you can just use it as a tattoo.
That also works, I suppose.

You know, I've brought this up several times before.
If you are swearing an oath on the Constitution of the United States, and then your policies are things that are completely counter to that, whether it is an assault on free speech, the previous administration, the Biden administration, the Autopen people, they talked and influenced big tech to silence people, including me.
We know that literally me from Jim Jordan and that report, to silence us.
So there were people in the government that actually trampled on my First Amendment rights and millions of other people.
As Jim Jordan told me, unfortunately, there's no repercussions.
There's no laws.
You can't sue them.
There's nothing.
You don't get a letter from anybody or anything.
You bring up a good point when it comes to Mom Donnie, all these people that want to ban the guns.
There's a series of other things that we talk about.
COVID, we completely wiped away the Fourth Amendment, the right to assemble, when you couldn't meet people where you wanted to meet them or they tried to stop you from having people in your own home.
You know, one of the things that I think, one of the reasons that I'm bullish on America right now is because Trump not only has fixed so much in such a short period of time, but I'm telling you, there is a chance, guys, to reignite the American dream in 2026.
It is the 250th year of this country.
And that is big.
That is really big.
We're still young by most standards, certainly by most European standards, right?
But we have been around long enough that we've been through a lot.
We've been through a lot.
And maybe we pushed, or not we, maybe the Woesters and all of the Marxists and all the bad people.
They've pushed far enough.
And hopefully something about 250, if the administration can kind of brand it right and we can get enough people to just love this freaking thing again and think about where their ancestors came and what you're doing here and why you don't want to leave as rough as it is and all and why everyone still wants to come here, I think we can reignite that thing.
But yes, what do we do about a series of, and they're all Democrats, right?
Whether it's Ilhan Omar or Rashida Tlaib or even, I would say, Bernie or AOC or Mamdani or this Omar Fateh guy in Minneapolis.
What do we do about a series of politicians who swear to protect the Constitution, whose actions are largely against the Constitution?

My favorite sit-down of the year, I mentioned it earlier, but here's an extended portion of Tony Robbins.
This really, I'm telling you, this, if you have not seen this one and you need a little juice in your life today, a little something to get you out of bed and feeling good for the rest of the day, this is the one to watch.
What is like the first thing that most people seem to be hung up on before they can start moving forward in life?
I think most people have had dreams and goals in their life and they've had, obviously, as all of us have, plenty of disappointments because, you know, you want to make God laugh, tell her your plans.
Exactly.
But if the person that persists and keeps going can eventually break through, you know, like all the studies showed that pessimists are much more accurate about their performance than optimists, much more accurate.
But optimists are much more successful because they overvalue, they think they did better than they did, so they're willing to try it again.
They believe it'll happen.
And that persistence is what makes things work.
Three things determine how you feel in this moment.
If you're listening right now at home and you're bored or you're excited or you're curious or whatever feeling you're having, number one is how you're using your body right now.
And what I do is I focus on for the first three minutes, everything I'm grateful for, because gratitude is the antidote to the two emotions that mess most people up, mess up your relationship, mess up your business, and that's fear and anger.
It's a sign of faith to assume that if you are committed to doing the right thing and following the pathway of truth, that things will work out for you as well as they can.
And I don't think you should underestimate the power of that.
They got increasingly desperate because their internal polls were showing, I'm sure, some of what we're seeing tonight, and they knew more than they were letting on.
One event I didn't get kicked out of, I was recently at Camela's Rally in Houston, and I just didn't get kicked out because the Secret Service was, I mean, they were up my button around the corner.
We also have a policy that if you're driving on one of those streets and a mob comes and surrounds your vehicle and threatens you, you have a right to flee for your safety.
And so if you drive off and you hit one of these people, that's their fault for impinging on you.
You don't have to sit there and just be a sitting duck and let the mob grab you out of your car and drag you through the streets.
You know, it's so funny, watching that back, it's like, it's not that ingenious.
It's not that brilliant.
It really isn't.
It's just obvious, real stuff, because that's what you should be allowed to do if someone is impinging on your rights and they think they can take the law into their hands and they think they can stop you from going to work or visiting your mom or whatever it might be.
And that one went mega viral, especially here in Florida, the only in Dade, which is like the official Miami pop cultural news account.
They started spreading that one.
And then people, I mean, all over Miami, people and everywhere, we're just seeing that.
And that's how it should be, people.
The celebration of the year, this was such a nice moment for me personally.
You know, I've mentioned Tulsi a couple of times on this stream and I was put, you know, I wanted her to be VP.
I think she's doing obviously an incredible job at DNI.
And JD's been an incredible VP.
But, you know, just for all the years when I met her years ago, when she was running as a Democrat, and if you go back to that interview, you know, from five years ago, you know, where I was kind of like, Tulsi, what are you doing?
You're not really one of them.
And over the years, personally and privately, and we've broken bread many times and we would talk about it.
And she finally got there and everything.
And then she ends up campaigning with Trump.
And then she becomes the director of national intelligence.
And I got invited to her swearing-in ceremony.
And this was definitely for me the celebration of the year.
I told her I was retiring, that my work was done because we got her.

Not much.
I would say the founders basically got it completely right, that everything should be dealt with at the state and local level, and then the federal government should have a couple things that they're supposed to do.

And then I came.

I said, well, we should probably ask Jordan.

And he said this years ago, was that one day the barbarians will be at the gate and we'll be debating what gender pronouns to call them.
And I think that's what happened to the liberals.

Does it seem like it might be easier to go off the grid this year?
You know, that's a good question that, as I said, I've been so busy, I have not had a second to really even think about August or focus on it or be excited or be stressed or whatever might come up with it.
I just haven't had a moment yet.
But now that I'm doing this, it is popping into my mind that, you know, last year was election year, but that was tough to go off the grid just because it's the thick of what I do, right?
It's the heart of what I do.
The year before was the primary.
And if you remember, I didn't want to do it, but we felt that we had to.
I came back for one day in the middle of August for the Republican primary because Rumble was doing a live thing there.
And I felt like I really just had to be part of it.
And I was very conflicted about it because in some sense, it's like, ah, primary could happen without me, but they were building studios out there.
And I really wanted to help out.
You know, it's weird.
This year is particularly weird, I would say.
It does feel kind of calm right now, doesn't it?
Like the Iran thing happened.
We didn't get into thermonuclear World War III.
We've got the border under control.
There aren't crazy riots happening right now.
I would say there's, you know, one of the things that's going to be really hot in August is that we're going to get closer and closer to the New York City mayoral election.
So there's going to be a lot of talk about communism and Marxism and all that throughout the country.
That's going to burn hot, but it doesn't feel like there's anything major about to unfold.
Now, I could probably end up eating those words because that's how culture and politics move.
You just don't know when crazy things are going to happen.
And then, of course, the other crazy things that can happen are acts of God, and there could be hurricanes and earthquakes and storms and all kinds of stuff.
All of that being said, it does feel a little bit easier this year, I think.
Crafty Cat says, do you, David, and the kids, enjoy family games, or do you and David enjoy a good card or strategy game after the boys pass out?
Well, the main thing we've been enjoying after putting the boys down, and I love reading stories to them, we do two things at night.
So I read stories to them, and then we put them in their cribs.
And then the thing that they're really into is now they want me to tell them a story, but like I have to make up a story.
So I usually ask them a couple questions like, what kind of animals do you want in this story?
Do you want it to take place in a forest or a beach?
Should a dinosaur.
So I have them pick all of the ideas of the story and then I just kind of put together a crazy story.
What we do after, because usually that rolls to like 8, 8, 30, I mean, for the last two months, three months, we've been finishing The Sopranos, which we finally, as you know, we finally finished a couple days ago.
We're playing all sorts of games with them.
I mean, right now they're really into like art and building things.
So we're doing a lot with blocks and a lot of paint.
They're really into, we got these markers that they can paint on the windows.
So the windows of my house look like if someone just came over, they'd be like, is this an insane asylum?
Not too much on the card games, actually.
UH60 dude says, now that you've gotten into the tequila distilling game, great stuff, by the way, do you have any other side projects brewing?
Also, will you still be sipping that Klaas Azul?
So we do have a couple of new things that we're going to be launching next year, and we're trying to figure out a little bit more in the product space in general.
That's one answer there.
Look, you know, Klaas Azul, which everyone knows is the big, beautiful white and blue decanter, and it's about $180 a pop.
That is kind of the ubiquitous, if you want to introduce somebody to tequila tequila.
It's extremely expensive, mostly because of the bottle.
The tequila itself, I don't like saying bad things about it because I loved it for so long, but now having known much more about tequila, it's not the best tequila, right?
It's not 100% natural and there's probably some sugar in there and some other stuff, and they use a little bit less agave than we use and whatever.
But yes, if you pour somebody that doesn't drink tequila class azul on the rocks, almost everybody is going to love it.
So I don't like saying bad things about it.
However, Copal is much, much better.
It is lighter and the flavor palette is much richer.
There's no burn going down.
And actually, one of the things, I was going to mention this later, but one of the things that we're doing the day before I get back on the grid, so the day that Kopal came out, we did a blind taste test here with eight different tequilas.
And well, we're going to put that up the day before I come back and you will see what my reaction is.
And yes, I will lead with one part, which is that I 100% very easily knew what Copal was.
And no, we did not cheat in any way whatsoever.
I didn't even see what the tequilas were before the guys brought them into the room or anything else.

I would say the number two most important thing happened quite literally the day before Donald Trump's win, which was Joe Rogan's endorsement of Donald Trump, which happened after his podcast and he did the ex-endorsement.
So he had Elon Musk on first, then he had Donald Trump on, then he finally made the endorsement of Donald Trump, which maybe, maybe I and you guys had a little something to do with that.
Like I was calling Joe out on that for quite some time.
Like, get there, Joe.
It's kind of the same thing I've been doing from doing with Marr for years.

And by the way, Marr broke red with the guy too.

Number three was, oh, the LA wildfires, which obviously had a huge effect on the country.

They had a huge effect on the country because it suddenly brought the story of identity politics back because wokeness had infected the entire institutional layer of what was going on in Los Angeles from the fire chief to the mayor and everybody else.
So here's a bit of the fires, which were absolutely devastating.
And then this utterly insane moment with evil lizard person Gavin Newsom.

Number four, I would say the number four political moment of the year is just from a couple weeks ago because this, well, you want to ask to the previous question of like what could happen in August?
I do think there's something here because that's how much I trust Tulsi Gabbard.
And she said there is irrefutable evidence that Barack Obama was involved in the Russia conspiracy to take out Donald Trump.
There is irrefutable evidence that detail how President Obama and his national security team directed the creation of an intelligence community assessment that they knew was false.
They knew it would promote This contrived narrative that Russia interfered in the 2016 election to help President Trump win, selling it to the American people as though it were true.
I don't want to tell people how to make it, but I'll tell them where to get it and how to make it, but I don't want to tell them how to make it.
Well, I guess I know what I'm doing in August.

He has a ton of money to give away.
And instead of waiting to die to give the money to the people that he loves, he gave, I think, 24 people, was it 24 people?
He gave them their inheritance while he's alive.
And all he asked in exchange for that is they had to write a plan on how it would help them be happy.

Every single year, this thing gets bigger.
From launching at Tequila and launching new shows and expanding the team and all of these things, you guys have been there for part of it.
A particular thanks to everybody in the locals community who subscribes and keeps us independent and keeps us going.

But, you know, we grind, not just I, we grind and grind and grind, like I'm sure you all do.
We grind and grind and grind for 11 months of the year with the payoff of taking some downtime.
And I take this downtime to reset the brain, really.
It is just a full-on brain reset.
This year I will catch up on some reading and I will also escape and be staring at the ocean for a while.
And I'll be fishing with the kids and relaxing.
And we're doing some big projects around the house and all of those things.
But when I started doing this, it was really a joke.
It was just like, man, could I do it?
And we had one employee and it was like, all right, see if you could do it.
And what I've realized now is that this thing that I really was doing sort of as a joke for myself has become an integral part of my life and maybe one of the reasons that I didn't go insane doing this.
Need not mention names, but there's an awful lot of political pundits who have gone off the deep end.
If you're watching this, you probably don't include me as one of them.
But a lot of them have.
And I think part of the reason is because you get caught in that hamster wheel.
You get caught in that algorithmic thing.
And by the way, you don't have to be a host to be caught in that.
We all know that, right?
Like we're all obsessed with staring at this thing and doom scrolling.
And, you know, I've talked about it many times before, but the infinite scroll of the internet.
The internet used to end.
You would go to CNN and you'd look at all the stories and the page would end and that would be it.
And then they created infinite scroll and it just never ends anymore and what that does to your brain over time.
And I really try.
Sometimes, you know, we'll be sitting at the beach in the middle of August and David will be reading or doing something and he'll be like, he'll be like, I don't understand.
You were just staring at the ocean for three hours.
Like you're just literally staring at the ocean.
You're not sleeping.
You're not reading.
You're not doing anything.
And I kid you not, I like organize my brain like a filing cabinet and I start like purging some things out of my head, thoughts, political things, whatever it might be.
I just start working some things through and I'm like, I'm done with that, moving on, done with that.
And then I start thinking about some things that I want to focus on in the year, personal things and professional things and everything else.
And I get and I fill up that well and that cup and then I'm ready to roll in September.
And all of that is thanks to you guys who watch this show.

I really don't.
I'm not even sure how the internet works or any of it.
But we do this every single day.
