One more week. - I can one-up you on that creed.
dave rubin
It's only four more days.
That's right.
It is January 16th, 2025. I'm Dave Rubin.
This is the Rubin Report.
As always, we are on your computer, on Rumble, on YouTube, on Locals, postgame show, RubinReport.locals.com.
And we've got a community Q&A coming up.
Obviously, there's a lot of big news happening in the world right now and a couple things breaking just literally in the last 10 or 15 minutes that we are going to get to.
So let's just dive in because there's just a ton.
First off, the big news yesterday, of course, is that apparently Israel and Hamas signed off on this hostage release slash prisoner exchange.
Now, we're going to dive into some of the details here, and this has been a long time coming.
There's obviously a lot of good feelings about it and a lot of bad feelings.
Be as even-handed as possible.
But before we get into it, just in the last 15 minutes or so on Fox News, they're reporting that the deal actually may not go through.
I think we have a headline here.
Israel's Netanyahu delays Gaza ceasefire vote, accusing Hamas of backing out of the deal.
So the Israeli cabinet has to vote for it, and Netanyahu can't just say yes.
They are an actual democracy in a place in the world where there's not a lot of democracy.
And it sounds like maybe Hamas is either trying to swap out some of the hostages or maybe give more...
We'll see what happens there, but for the purposes of today's show, we're going to go through as if it is going to happen, and we shall see.
Obviously, this is all to the backdrop of a new American administration coming in in four days, and the fact that the outgoing administration has dropped the ball on this thing just time and time and time again, and much of this...
is from what I've been telling you is the Trump effect, one way or another.
So the headline from Bloomberg yesterday...
Breaking, Israel and Hamas reached a ceasefire deal after 15 months of conflict.
And let me give you a little bit of the granular details here from the Daily Wire.
According to the Jerusalem Post, the deal will unfold in three phases.
The first phase will include the release of 33 hostages, some of whom may be dead, and the Israeli Defense Forces withdrawing to an undefined security perimeter.
Israel will reportedly release many hundreds of Palestinian prisoners, including terrorists who have killed Israelis.
Humanitarian aid will be increased.
And Palestinian civilians are also expected to be allowed to return to the northern part of the Gaza Strip with security arrangements in place, reported CNN. Israeli cabinet will meet Thursday morning to approve the deal.
That's what's up in the air at the moment.
The first phase is expected to last 42 days with negotiations for the subsequent stages set to begin on the 16th day.
The IDF has christened the hostage return operations Wings of Freedom.
The 33 hostages are expected to be women, children and wounded people and men over 50. Five female Israeli soldiers are expected to be released, each of whom will be exchanged for 50 Palestinians.
30 of whom are serving life sentences, according to the Associated Press.
Palestinian prisoners will reportedly be released abroad to the Gaza Strip instead of the West Bank.
During the final hours of the negotiations, Hamas made extra demands regarding the Philadelphia corridor, reported the Jerusalem Post.
The corridor has been seen as a strategic value to Israel by ensuring more weapons are not smuggled into Gaza from Egypt.
So just real quick on that last part.
So the Philadelphia corridor, we should have thrown a map up.
But you can find it, and we've shown it before.
The Philadelphia Corridor basically is the barrier between Egypt and Gaza.
That clearly is where perhaps some of the...
Hostages were smuggled into, definitely weapons smuggled in.
The key thing here, though, beyond anything else, is the imbalance of the deal.
And if you want to figure out who the good guys are and the bad guys are, look what Israel, how they are valuing life versus how Hamas is valuing life.
To get back 33 people, some of whom they will be remains.
These people are not alive.
They are in some cases giving back 30 people with blood on their hands who have murdered and blown up Israeli citizens.
And in some cases, over 50 people.
The number is still amorphous.
Now, again, this is all sort of up in the air at the moment because if Hamas is changing the deal right now, it may not go through at all.
But the absolute imbalance, and they've done this before.
There was about 15 years ago, there was an Israeli soldier who was kidnapped Gilad Shalit.
And the Israelis gave back over a thousand people with blood on their hands to get him back.
And there's all sorts of philosophical and political debates we can have about this, about what do you do about negotiating with terrorists, specifically.
Does this basically just inspire more terrorism, more kidnapping, and everything else?
I also think there's a sort of bad signal here for the rest of the West.
I mean, we now know we have jihadists literally in America.
We have them clearly in the UK and France and Belgium and Australia and definitely in Canada and elsewhere.
And it's like, what signal are they being sent?
Boy, we can do something pretty awful and we can get major extractions out of Western nations for it.
So there's a lot of bad here.
Look, the good is that if these 33 people, hopefully most of them alive, come back and that then it's just phase one and they're able to get the remaining, I think, 98 people total.
By the way, only two of the people they're getting back will be the Americans.
That means at least three Americans will still be there.
So there's just a series of things.
I will also make a crazy prediction, and you guys know I'm pretty good on predictions.
There will be no phase two.
There never is a phase two for any of these things because Hamas or Islamic Jihad or whatever, they always break the deal one way or another, right?
Their only leverage into existence is keeping hostages.
So there will be no phase two, assuming this phase even goes.
But let's get a little info here from Donald Trump because clearly this is all happening right now because of him.
He wrote, this epic ceasefire agreement could have only happened as a result of our historic victory in November, as it signaled to the entire world that my administration would seek peace and negotiate deals to ensure the safety of all Americans and our allies.
I am thrilled American and Israeli hostages will be returning home to be reunited with their families and loved ones.
With this deal in place, my national security team, through the efforts of Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff, will continue to work closely with Israel and our allies to make sure Gaza never again becomes a terrorist safe haven.
We will continue promoting peace through strength throughout the region as we build upon the momentum of this ceasefire to further expand the historic Abraham Accords.
This is only the beginning of great things to come for America and indeed the world.
We have achieved so much without even being in the White House.
Just imagine all of the wonderful things that will happen when I return to the White House and my administration is fully confirmed so they can secure more victories for the United States.
So, look, I'm largely, almost completely in lockstep with Trump on all of that.
Right?
Like, peace through strength, number one.
Return Americans, most importantly.
Create the conditions for some kind of peace.
There's never going to really be peace there, right?
Like, terrorists that want to murder you, you can't.
Okay, we'll meet you halfway.
It's like, that's not really how it works.
But we can lead the world like Trump did the first time around with the Abraham Accords, and you can get certain countries.
The Hamas thing and the Palestinians are a different thing, but you can get certain countries to be like, oh, Israel is here?
And boy, they do an awful lot with tech and with water and a whole bunch of other things.
And maybe we should just stop hating them.
They're not going anywhere.
And by the way, they're only the size of New Jersey.
So let's not really worry about it.
So Trump, this is Trump at his best.
This would not be happening without Trump.
And then just yesterday, after the deal was announced, Trump went even further.
And just note the energy difference between Donald Trump yesterday, not even in office.
and then we'll show you something from the man with dementia in a sec.
donald j trump
If those hostages aren't back, I don't want to hurt your negotiation.
If they're not back by the time I get into office, all hell will break out in the Middle East.
And it will not be good for Hamas, and it will not be good, frankly, for anyone.
All hell will break out.
I don't have to say anymore, but that's what it is.
dave rubin
I got to tell you, that's Trump absolutely at his best.
It's not because Trump wants war.
It's not because America First wants war.
It's not because I want war.
But you lead.
Carrot and stick, right?
Peace through strength.
We have done nothing in this year and a half.
We've basically hampered Israel in their war and been threatening them the entire time.
But if you put pressure on Hamas, maybe something will happen.
And actually, well, not maybe, because look, we basically have some version of a deal in place.
So Hamas right now, hearing that, you think they're sitting underground going, boy, we really better push it with Donald Trump or not, right?
Everyone wants to survive at the end of the day.
So this is all...
Again, we don't know that it's all going to happen exactly as laid out, but this is all because of Trump and has virtually nothing to do with Joe Biden.
But let's compare and contrast Donald Trump's energy and straightforwardness and directness right there to Joe Biden announcing the ceasefire.
joe biden
After eight months of nonstop negotiation by my administration, a ceasefire and a hostage deal has been reached.
By Israel and Hamas.
The elements of which I laid out in great detail in May of this year.
This plan was developed and negotiated by my team.
And will be largely implemented by the incoming administration.
That's why I told my team to keep the incoming administration fully informed.
Because that's how it should be.
Working together as Americans.
dave rubin
Sorry, I didn't hear anything he said there.
I was focused on the indent on his chin.
Did you know that it was particularly indented?
Look, it's all just complete drivel.
Like, this is not a coincidence.
You don't have to know anything about politics or anything else, or even care if Biden has dementia or any of that stuff.
This is only happening because Trump is literally, we're going to rain hell down on you all.
Hell is going to break loose.
This has nothing to do with Biden and everyone knows it.
Biden literally told Israel, don't go into Rafa.
And what did they do?
They went into Rafa and they killed Sinwar, the head of Hamas in Gaza.
So it's like...
Every time they ignored him, good things happened, right?
How did they basically demolish Hezbollah in Lebanon?
It was by ignoring him.
So, I get it.
He has to try to claim some credit here on the way out, but, you know, he poorly reads it.
He didn't slur that much.
That was nice.
Then watch as he wrapped up the speech and listened to what a reporter asked him.
unidentified
Thank you.
Book's credit for this, Mr. President.
You or Trump?
joe biden
Is that a joke?
unidentified
No.
joe biden
Oh.
unidentified
Thank you.
dave rubin
Like, there's just nothing there.
No, Joe, it's not a joke.
Like, why couldn't you get this done?
And why is suddenly this thing coming together right at the end?
Whether it's all the pressure that Trump threw...
The gates of hell are going to open up on you guys, on Hamas, or whatever pressure he might have put on Netanyahu, which we don't know.
Whatever it is, something good is happening here, and it's because of Trump.
It just has nothing to do with them.
So there's Joe Biden basically like, oh, is that a joke that this has something to do with Trump?
And then almost at the exact same time, here's State Department official Matthew Miller, who works for Joe Biden, basically thanking Trump.
unidentified
When it comes to the involvement of President-elect Trump's team, it has been absolutely critical in getting this deal over the line.
And it's been critical because, obviously, as I stand here today, this administration's term in office will expire in five days.
And one of the things that we have always said about this deal is that when you get from stage one to stage two, that the United States, Egypt, and Qatar are the guarantors of this deal.
And Egypt and Qatar will push Hamas.
To stay at the bargaining table and to get from stage one to stage two.
And the United States will push Israel to stay at the bargaining table to get from phase one and phase two.
So obviously those are promises we cannot make on behalf of the United States for any longer than the next five days.
And so it's critical that all of the parties to the agreement and the other mediators see that when the United States is in the room...
Making commitments, those are lasting commitments that extend beyond this administration into the next one.
I would just say, lastly, I don't know if it's unprecedented to have envoys from an outgoing and an incoming administration sitting at the same table negotiating a ceasefire agreement of this kind.
But if it's not unprecedented, it's certainly unusual.
And we, of course, thank the Trump team for working with this on this ceasefire agreement.
We think it's important that they were at the table.
dave rubin
What a perfect ending to this completely ridiculous four years that we have been through.
You have Joe Biden literally being asked, does Donald Trump or you deserve more credit?
And he says, is that a joke?
And then his State Department basically thanking Trump.
And we all just know that this is all happening right now because of the administration, the incoming administration.
We all know it.
And we shall see.
By the way, when they talk about how the U.S. will sort of put pressure on Israel and that Egypt and Qatar will put pressure on Hamas, it's like Egypt has the border with Gaza.
They've let no Palestinians in.
Israel should build a border with Gaza the size of the wall, the size that Egypt did.
And Qatar is the one funding all of this.
They kept all of the billionaire leaders of Hamas in the Mandarin Oriental somewhere in Qatar.
I say Qatar.
They say Qatar.
I say Qatar.
Corrine Jean-Pierre, guys, this may be the last time we ever play a video of her.
I cannot believe it as our national nightmare is wrapping up.
Diversity hire and Muppet-like woman, Corrine Jean-Pierre.
She gave her last...
Press conference yesterday.
You know what?
We probably won't talk about her on the show anymore, but I am curious, just on a personal note, to track her career.
I do want to know what she does next, where she's going to go, what are they going to do with her, what is she going to wear with those ridiculous monochrome outfits everywhere.
Anyway, here she is talking about whether Trump deserves credit.
unidentified
You and the president have stressed that this is the framework that he put forward last spring, but the president also made clear it was important to him to work with the incoming administration, that they be speaking as one team, as he put it.
Even the Qatari prime minister, in his remarks, personally thanked Steve Whitcoff, the incoming administration's Middle East envoy.
So do Donald Trump and his team deserve any credit for this?
karine jean-pierre
I mean, look, everyone is going to want some credit.
Everybody's going to want some credit.
Get that?
That's how this goes when something good happens.
Not unusual.
It is not unusual at all.
What I can say is the president got it done.
Right?
That's what I can say.
unidentified
Why is it that you seem unwilling to extend any credit to Trump for this deal?
Couldn't he just have said, you know, hold off until I'm in office?
karine jean-pierre
What I will say is that...
What we know to be true, what we know this process, how it has moved over the past eight months.
This is a deal that happened under the framework that this president put forward and was endorsed by the world.
dave rubin
Lady going out just like you came in with just like an endless river of drivelous BS. I will give her credit.
We will miss those bright color outfits.
Beyond that, everything the woman said, the entire duration of her job was a lie or a misdirection or an intentional confusion.
I mean, I literally just played you a clip of someone from the State Department saying, we thank the incoming president's administration for making this happen, and then she won't say it, and Joe Biden saying, is that a joke?
It's all ridiculous.
And just one more on this for now, because as I said, a lot of this is changing, and we may have completely If you think that Joe Biden deserves credit for this, let's flash back to 11 months ago, February of 2024. This was his very stark warning for Hamas about getting the hostages back.
And you tell me if you think this really scared the hell out of him.
joe biden
There is some movement, and I don't want to choose my words.
There's some movement.
There's been a response from the...
There's been a response from the opposition.
But, yes, I'm sorry, from Hamas.
But it seems to be a little over the top.
We're not sure where it is.
There's a continuing negotiation right now.
dave rubin
That?
It was about seven months before the guy finally was pushed out of running for president of the United States.
What an absolute national embarrassment, borderline crime that we have all been witnessing for the last four years with this guy.
And speaking of Joe Biden, he gave his final address to the nation yesterday.
And I'm telling you right now, I think I said it on the show yesterday, we're only going to see him two or three more times after this.
There is going to be a letter sent out, my guess is in the next three months, where they will announce.
That he has either dementia or Parkinson's or something else, and that people knew and blah, blah, blah.
But we're right at the end of Biden, so we'll have a little bit from his goodbye address in a moment.
But first, let me talk to you about Collars& Co.
Collars& Co.
is one of the fastest growing menswear brands in the USA, and for good reason.
They're the ultimate example of a great American business, and they're changing the game when it comes to men's fashion.
Their claim to fame?
The dress collar polo.
It's an elevated polo shirt with a firm dress collar that holds its shape, no more floppy or bacon collars.
It's office approved, combining that sharp professional look with the comfort of a t-shirt.
Whether you're heading to the office, out to dinner, or traveling, this polo is perfect for every occasion.
The fabric is stretchy, super comfortable, and travels well, so it always looks great, whether you're wearing it by itself or laying it under a sweater or blazer.
Even Eric Trump has been spotted rocking these polos all over his Instagram.
But Collars& Co.
didn't stop there.
After securing a million-dollar deal on Shark Tank, they've expanded into other categories.
They've got merino sweaters and quarter zips that pair perfectly with their polos.
Stretch chinos for ultimate...
Comfort and style.
The Maverick Performance Blazer, a travel blazer that's wrinkle-free, sharp-looking, and can literally be rolled up in a bag.
These are wardrobe essentials for the modern guy who wants to look sharp and stay comfortable.
So hey, what are you waiting for?
Head on over to collarsandco.com and use code RUBEN for 20% off your first order.
That's collarsandco.com.
Trust me, you're going to love this brand.
All right, so as I just said, we are almost done with this prolonged national nightmare, this utter farce that has been the Biden administration.
And Joe yesterday gave a very pre-packaged speech.
It was unbelievably uninspiring and boring and just consistent with everything else they've done for the last four years.
Here's his final warning to America.
joe biden
That's why my farewell address tonight.
I want to warn the country of some things that give me great concern.
This is a dangerous concert and that's a dangerous concentration of power in the hands of a very few ultra wealthy people.
The dangerous consequences if their abuse of power is left unchecked.
Today, an oligarchy is taking shape in America of extreme wealth, power and influence that literally threatens our entire democracy, our basic rights and freedoms and a fair shot for everyone to get ahead.
We see the consequences all across America.
And we've seen it before.
More than a century ago.
But the American people stood up to the robber barons back then and busted the trusts.
They didn't punish the wealthy.
They just made the wealthy play by the rules everybody else had to.
dave rubin
It's just what I said about Cranjump here.
Just going out the same way you went in, like doing class warfare at the end and the rich don't pay their fair share.
They pay basically all the taxes, the top 1%.
And the oligarchy is coming in.
What he's trying to say there really is an Elon Musk.
Oh yes, that scary Elon Musk who's sending us to Mars and building tunnels underground and connecting brains so that paraplegics can play chess and a whole bunch of other stuff, building electric cars and everything else that they're the ones to watch out for.
Of course, irony.
I know irony is dead.
Let's not forget, just a few weeks ago, this is Joe Biden giving the Medal of Freedom to Alex Soros.
It was given, actually, to his father.
George Soros, but I guess his health is not great.
Damn shame.
And so he was giving it to Alex Soros there.
If you want to talk about oligarchs, if you want to talk about people who have used billions of dollars to fund NGOs and nonprofits that have largely tried to destroy not only the United States and the West, again, Joe, I know you're not really there, but you might just want a mirror.
George Soros, of course, also funded how many DAs that have destroyed these blue cities.
We went through this yesterday with Rudy Giuliani, but if you look at what has happened to Los Angeles and San Francisco and so many of these cities and New York, these are Soros-funded prosecutors that let people out on the streets, that caused the sanctuary city things and open up the borders, his Open Society Foundation, all of these things.
So, Joe, it's just like we're almost done with you and thank God.
Now, speaking of, this is actually incredible.
So, look, when...
In 2019, when Joe Biden wasn't even president yet, I was saying there was something wrong with him mentally, and I certainly wasn't the only one.
Many people saw this cognitive stuff.
The media lied about it, lied about it, lied about it.
Then we get to the debate back in June, and because it was so profoundly horrible, they couldn't lie anymore.
The Democrats do their coup.
Media doesn't really ask any questions about how it happened, but it clearly happened, and now even that now is leaking out.
Here's Democrat Senator Chris Coons on CNN telling Caitlin Collins that Jill wished that...
Joe could have stuck around, and maybe Nancy did some shady stuff here.
kaitlan collins
But on Jill Biden, and looking at this, she had a quote today to the Washington Post about Nancy Pelosi's role in Biden getting out of the race.
unidentified
And she said, quote, we were friends for 50 years.
kaitlan collins
Imagining she was using her teacher's voice, she said, quote, it was disappointing.
unidentified
You know that Jill Biden is very careful with how she uses her words.
What did you make of that moment?
Well, first I'm hearing of it, but what I make of it is that she may well have wished that Speaker Pelosi had engaged directly with them, rather than orchestrating a campaign to try and get President Biden to step down from the race.
dave rubin
I mean, that is just an unbelievable admission.
We all know it, so it's like, duh.
But Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama...
And Kamala Harris and Chuck Schumer orchestrated a coup to get rid of a sitting president threatening him with the 25th Amendment.
He shouldn't, look, clearly everything I've just said here for the first whatever, it's like the guy clearly shouldn't have been president anymore, probably shouldn't have been president in the first place, certainly shouldn't have been president all these four years, but there was a coup of a sitting president and now we'll find out as they get rid of Biden and as he disappears and we get that note explaining the whole thing, we will find out more and a lot of it's going to fall on the doorstep of Pelosi.
And Obama particularly.
But they got rid of a guy they didn't want to get that wanted to remain president, right?
That's what he went on The View and said.
I thought I was okay and I thought I could have beat Trump.
And well, congratulations.
You all got what you deserve because 45 is about to become 47. I want to jump over to two other videos real quick before we get to the community Q&A about how things are going to turn around.
We are on the precipice of turning America around.
It is not going to be easy.
There are going to be weird things that happen along the way.
All the bad guys are going to do all the bad stuff to stop it.
But competency is coming back.
And Marco Rubio is going to be Secretary of State.
He is being confirmed right now.
It's going to go through.
He is highly qualified, ready to go.
I think he's an unbelievable speaker when it comes to explaining America and what our values are and what our policies are.
And that's what you really have to do as Secretary of State.
Well, here's a bit on that from his hearing yesterday.
marco rubio
Out of the triumphalism of the end of the long Cold War emerged a bipartisan consensus.
And this consensus was that we had reached the end of history, that all of the nations of the world would now become members of the democratic Western-led community, that a foreign policy that served the national interest could now be replaced by one that served the liberal world order, and that all mankind was now destined to abandon national sovereignty and national identity and would instead become one human family and citizens of the world.
This wasn't just a fantasy.
We now know it was a dangerous delusion.
Here in America and in many of the advanced economies across the world, an almost religious commitment to free and unfettered trade at the expense of our national economy shrunk the middle class, left the working class in crisis, collapsed our industrial capacity, and has pushed critical supply chains into the hands of adversaries and of rivals.
An irrational zeal for maximum freedom of movement of people has resulted in a historic mass migration crisis here in America, but also around the world.
It's one that threatens the stability of societies and of governments.
Across the West, governments now censor and even prosecute domestic political opponents.
Meanwhile, radical jihadists openly march in the streets and sadly drive vehicles into our people.
While America far too often continued to prioritize the global order above our core national interests, other nations continue to act the way countries have always acted and always will in what they perceive to be their best interest.
And instead of folding into the post-Cold War global order, they have manipulated it to serve their interests at the expense of ours.
The post-war global order is not just obsolete.
It is now a weapon being used against us.
And all this has led to a moment in which we must now confront the single greatest risk of geopolitical instability and of generational global crisis in the lifetime of anyone alive and in this room today." Like, he's not just reading a script that he doesn't believe.
dave rubin
I've obviously interviewed Rubio.
He's our senator here in Florida.
Many, many times I've gotten to know him quite well.
He believes this.
One of the things he talks about, maybe we'll...
Re-up the video sometime next week, is his family story of coming here from Cuba and his father working, you know, cleaning dishes, telling him you can be anything you want.
And that is what the American dream is about.
And then his son became a freaking senator and now will be the Secretary of State of the United States.
But in essence, what he said there...
The bumper sticker version of it is that globalism is going to be dead starting in four days from now.
That post-World War II, we started the UN, in effect, and that basically we were like, oh, nobody will really have borders, and all our countries will kind of be the same, and there will be nothing kind of good or bad or anything else, right?
We'll have this cultural Marxism that'll leak into everything, and now, well, we're, you know, 70-plus years out of that, and it clearly is at the end.
It's not working.
We thought some of the bad countries, let's say, or some of the bad ideas like China and Russia, we thought they'd become more like us.
Unfortunately, we started becoming more like them.
So we're going to get back to sovereignty and borders and better trade deals and identity.
I thought that was interesting that he said the word identity.
We're going to realize, oh, America should be for Americans.
And that doesn't mean you have to be white or Christian.
You can be anything, but you have to believe in the ideas of America, right?
You have to believe.
American exceptionalism and individual rights and bring your traditions and languages and food and music here, but then fold into America.
Don't come here to rip America apart, which is largely what's happened in Europe.
So I'm clearly very happy on the Marco Rubio situation.
Let me just throw into one more from him yesterday, talking about the Hamas.
Well, it's to the backdrop of the ceasefire, but he's basically saying what Hamas' future will be.
unidentified
Since October 7th, there's been a disturbing rise in anti-Semitism, pro-terrorist violence in our cities, on college campuses.
You and I had the opportunity to write an op-ed together.
And in that op-ed, we called on foreign nationals who support Hamas or other terrorist organizations to lose their visas and to be sent back to their home countries.
As Secretary of State, of course, you'll be responsible for overseeing the issuance of visas.
How will you enforce our laws to ensure that we remove supporters of terrorist groups from our country?
marco rubio
Listen, my view of this is one of common sense.
If you apply for a visa to come into the United States, and in the process of being looked at, it comes to light that you're a supporter of Hamas.
We wouldn't let you in.
If we knew you were a supporter of Hamas, we would not give you a visa.
So now that you got the visa and you're inside the U.S., and now we realize you're a supporter of Hamas, we should remove your visa.
If you could not come in because you're a supporter of Hamas, you should not be able to stay on a visa if you're a supporter of Hamas.
That's how I view it.
And I think that's just an issue of common sense, and we intend to be very forceful about that.
dave rubin
Good.
unidentified
Thank you.
dave rubin
What a perfect example of that thing I always say about when you're telling the truth, it's just not that hard to talk.
Like, should we have Hamas supporters and terrorist supporters, let's say ISIS, Al-Qaeda supporters, should they be in the United States on visas?
Like, it's not that complex, right?
You don't have to be screaming and waving your hands all over the place.
He's like, duh.
His answer basically was, duh.
One more thing on the Rubio situation, because just it broke about five minutes before we started.
This is from Florida's Voice.
Governor Ron DeSantis names Attorney General Ashley Moody as next U.S. Senator from Florida.
So, assuming Rubio gets confirmed, which is going to happen, Ashley Moody, who is our, we have a fine Attorney General.
She's quite good.
I don't know how we've never had her on the show.
I've met her a couple times.
We'll try to make that happen.
I don't know, she believes in, say, law and order and a functioning citizenship and making sure that, you know, we don't have rampant crime and homelessness and the rest of it.
So I think she'll do a fine job.
Guys, let me talk about Kalshi real quick and then we'll get to a Locals.com community Q&A. You know, there's been so much speculation in the news lately, but let's be honest, traditional media doesn't always get it right.
That's why I've been keeping an eye on what the betting markets are saying over at Kalshi.
If you're not familiar, Kalshi is a fascinating platform that lets you see what people are predicting about real-world events, and they've been way more accurate than most of our corporate media.
For example, let's talk about the big question that's on everyone's mind.
Who will Biden pardon next?
Traditional outlets are full of speculation, but on Kalshi, you can see data-driven predictions about what's most likely to happen.
It's a fresh way to cut through the noise and get a sense of where things are actually headed.
Or here's another one I came across recently.
How many executive orders will Trump issue on day one if he's back in office?
Again, instead of relying on media talking heads, Kalshi lets you see how the betting markets are leaning, which has proven to be surprisingly accurate in the past.
If you haven't checked it out yet, go take a look for yourself at Kalshi.com.
We were dealing with a little technical thing there.
All right, let's get to a Rubin Report community Q&A. Here we go.
Rich on the farm.
I just saw that the village people will be in D.C. during inauguration.
Dave Rubin is also going to be in D.C. for the inauguration.
My question is, could we potentially see Dave in a firefighter costume singing along with the band?
Connor, do we have an image of that?
Is the number one Trump-supporting band in the country, The Village People, literally the gayest thing, gayer than a picnic basket, gayer than...
Gayer than Justin Trudeau himself.
Wait, put it back up.
So, the reason you're asking about the firefighter thing is because when I was on Piers Morgan right before Christmas with that lunatic Jank Uyghur from whatever that network is, it doesn't even matter.
He was screaming at me that I didn't want gay firefighters.
And, of course, relative to what happened with the firefighters, of course, I was talking about DIA. It was complete nonsense.
But I thought there was a gay firefighter in the village people here.
No, you got your kind of...
I mean, look at these.
You really can't make this up, that these are the people, like, the number one Trump band in America.
But there is no gay firefighter, apparently.
No, I will not be dressing up as a firefighter.
Thanks for asking.
I want to go in traditional.
Dave Rubengarb.
JC says, how is Dennis Prager doing?
I haven't heard anything lately.
You know, I did.
I sent a text right before just to see if I could get you guys any quick update on something.
But it's early West Coast right now.
I do have a little bit of information, but I'm not privy to say anything that I don't know for sure is public yet.
I can tell you that he is getting better.
It is a long, long slog.
He took quite a fall.
He was in the ICU for a long, long time.
I think I can say he has been shifted out of there, so they're working on it, but it's going to be a lot of rehab.
I saw him.
Bear with us.
But I can tell you that he has, you know, through a lot of different connections and all the people that he's influenced and affected over, you know, his five decades in public life, he has great doctors working on him.
They're working on all sorts of cutting-edge things.
I probably should just leave it there, but I'm praying for him.
And I love you, Dennis, if you're watching, and Sue and everybody else.
And I hope I can report some good news on that sometime soon.
Elizabeth says, if you could time travel.
To visit any event in history, what event would you choose?
I mean, I would have to go to the founding of America, right?
Like, it's the signing either of the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution to be in the room with all of the founders.
As, you know, the founders, we fight about nonsensical political things right now where it's just like, oh, Biden has dementia or you don't like Trump because he uses this word.
And it's like they were battling it out.
They said horrible things about each other.
They used to say that this guy has a venereal disease and this guy, you know, well.
Screwed my wife and all that stuff.
But they were actually writing incredible documents that were aspirational documents.
The documents were better than them as humans, right?
So you have Thomas Jefferson and many of them, John Adams, writing documents that were freeing slaves while they were slave owners.
George Washington.
George Washington, who also not only was the first president of the United States, but led the army.
then after the Civil War, sorry, after the war for independence, everyone wanted him to remain both the head general, basically stay in charge of the army and stay the president of the United States.
And he didn't want to do it.
These were unbelievably exceptional people.
And to be in those rooms and debate about states' rights and what does it mean to be the United States of America?
Ironically, it's the same debates that we're having right now.
And that shows you the foresight that these people had.
So to be around that, you know, would have been pretty good.
Oh, Although I guess a lot of them ended up having gout and some of the disease stuff wouldn't have been great.
But putting that aside, I don't think I would have been thrilled to be wearing the wig.
It just seems hot in the summer.
Dave Dinsmore says, isn't the person who screams that someone else is making something political, making it political?
Yeah, we see this all the time.
I'm not going to make this political, but Donald Trump, I mean, that's what Gavin Newsom literally was doing that.
Literally, right?
He says literally every other word.
He was standing in front of a smoldering home.
Talking about how Donald Trump is politicizing it while he's politicizing it.
That is probably the best example of why I need to send all these people mirrors.
Guys, just look in the mirror and all of the things that you're accusing everybody else of is exactly what you're doing.
Every projection onto someone else is a confession.
That's basically how it is.
Ciccio says, what is the name of your tequila and how and when can we buy it?
How do we reserve a bottle?
Okay, this comes up every week.
We are getting so damn close.
Where's Adi?
I was trying to get some more info right now.
I think we will have it...
For sale, ready to go by the end of the month.
It could be the first week in February.
We are trying.
Importing, exporting is difficult.
There's just a whole bunch of stuff.
So I'm not announcing the name yet.
We do have the website.
It's up, but it's hidden.
If you can find it, good for you.
But I don't think you'll be able to.
And I'm just so psyched.
I am telling you, it's, as I've described it several times, it's an exquisite tequila.
It's Reposado, age three months.
It's clean.
There's no additives.
It's made the right way.
I've shared it with a few people, and everyone, you know, I hope everyone's telling me the truth, but I just, I know tequila, and it's a great, great tequila, and just bear with us a little bit longer.
We're almost there.
Silly says, ever heard of the Sunshine Act?
It was Obama's idea to force doctors to publicly disclose where their money came from.
And as a result, many of them pulled away from pharma for fear that they would look like they'd been bought.
In the spirit of bipartisanship, do you think Trump would consider a similar program for elected officials?
Yes, that is what the Sunshine Act is.
We should have it for elected officials.
Who are they meeting with?
I mean, this is like, can we get a little more transparency as it pertains to lobbying?
That's an obvious one.
But especially as it pertains to pharma, I think we're going to see way, way more of this.
I was at a dinner a couple nights ago for Maha Make America Healthy Again with RFK and a couple other people.
And they are going to do everything by bringing Bobby into HHS to make everything as transparent as possible.
And should you know, if your doctor is prescribing you something, is he getting a kickback?
I remember literally 15 years ago, I was having a little anxiety when I was getting on planes, which I've completely...
Concord.
But I wanted to get Xanax to go on a plane, which I completely regret now.
I did it for a couple months.
And the doctor literally had a tape dispenser.
The psychiatrist had a tape dispenser on his desk that said Prozac on it.
Like, think how absolutely insane it is.
Like, you can't buy your own freaking tape dispenser at Staples.
Does Staples still exist?
Office Depot?
I don't know where you get a tape dispenser.
Yes, everyone is sort of on the take, and I think everything, that's why I keep telling you, one of the things that I've enjoyed over the last couple weeks is seeing the level of transparency, right?
Bobby is making it clear HHS will be transparent.
That H-1B visa thing, even though it was an internal fight, it was all happening publicly, and we just need more and more and more of that.
Olaf says, do you have a favorite style of artwork?
Who's your favorite artist other than your sister-in-law?
So many of you know that my sister-in-law is a phenomenal artist, and we have...
I commissioned her to do a whole bunch of stuff, and she does these incredible commissions.
I think we have some pictures from her website.
So, you know, you may remember that upper-left painting was the one that's Chaos and Order.
It was called Chaos and Order even before I knew Jordan Peterson, ironically.
That's in our old studio.
That's in our house right now.
All of these, actually, are different things that are in our house, and she does various multimedia.
One of the clouds there is a giant.
That's got to be about...
Five by eight foot.
You can see how the size is relative to the piano there.
That's off a photograph that I took in Bora Bora during one August off the grid.
And she does various, you know, some of that's the one in the circular one in the middle is...
Acrylic.
She does just all kinds of great stuff.
You can check out her website.
It's KaylinRoseJanet.com and you can get prints.
So this one that's behind me over here is the second piece of Order in Chaos and that's the print of it.
We have the other original in my house.
No, she really is my favorite artist.
One of the things I love is when we have dinner parties and people come over and they start asking us about all of the artwork that we have here.

Eurasian says, Hey Dave, I figured you're uniquely qualified to answer this question.
Do you know if Chris Pavlovsky's choice of the name Rumble had anything to do with the Decepticon?
I do think we have an image of Rumble, the Decepticon.
Rumble, of course, was one of the cassettes that lived inside Soundwave.
There was also Ravage the Panther and there was Laserbeak the Bird.
I think I've shown this once or twice on the studio.
It's very unfortunate.
His head was blown off.
In an accident, I don't want to get into how that happened, but this is Soundwave.
This is my original Soundwave.
I remember getting this, I think, in 1984 for my eighth birthday, going to Toys R Us, and it was impossible to get.
Good Transformers.
You could get GoBots.
Anybody could get a GoBot, but you couldn't get the good Transformers.
And the box just opened up.
I remember the Toys R Us guy, like, opening the box, and me and my brother running over to it, and it was early June.
My birthday's the end of June.
I'm begging my parents, can we just buy it?
Hold it for my birthday?
And they let me get Soundwave.
So Soundwave, of course, transformed into a cassette player.
He's busting a little at the seams these days.
But that's Soundwave, the cassette player.
And you might think it's a little ironic that a futuristic transforming robot transformed into a cassette player rendered obsolete by 1987. But nonetheless, that's Soundwave.
And of course, Soundwave, because he was a cassette player, the cassettes were inside him.
I don't have Rumble anymore.
We don't know what happened to Rumble.
But I do have Ravage.
And Ravage was the panther who went right inside.
And we're going to send this to a restoration place and get him cleaned up a little bit.
But one of the great things about...
You know, having kids is that you can show them things that you loved from your childhood and then suddenly they're into it.
So the kids are so into Transformers right now and they know everybody.
And it's, you know, we don't do much TV with them, but I've been showing them some Transformers stuff.
It's a little bit, some of it's a little tricky because they're only about two, so it goes over their head.
But they have one kids show, it's called Rescue Bots, but there's no Decepticons in it.
It's just Autobots Rescue.
There's a fire, I gotta save you.
I fell into the water.
You gotta save me.
What was the point of all that?
We have Ravage, I think was the point.
Oh, the point was, I have no idea, actually, and I will ask, I'm going to send, here, I'm going to send Chris, I'll send Chris a text during the next break, and we will find out if him naming Rumble had anything to do with Rumble the Decepticon.
I knew there was a point there somewhere.
Conservative Chica says, do you have any concerns about widening the tent so much that our conservative values become secondary?
To the drive to become contrarian to the left?
Yes, absolutely, always, right?
Like, what I want, and what I've been yammering on about for a couple years, is I want good, decent liberals, which is most of the country, right?
Kind of live and let live people who have their own views, their own thoughts, etc., etc., want to live their own way.
I want them to kind of fit within the wider conservative tent, because conservatives are generally better at defending Defending Western values, about defending our institutions and things of that nature, and combine that, right?
And that's what's happened.
That's why Bobby and Tulsi and Rogan and you know the drill, right?
You know the laundry list of people that are now on the, let's say, conservative side of things.
Now, the question is...
When you have a wide tent, how do you put barriers around that wide tent?
There's that line that I always mention, that Jordan Peterson was always asking, he was going to D.C. all the time, for years, literally for years, and asking Democrat senators and congresspeople, when does the left go too far?
And nobody ever had an answer for him.
They were always afraid of putting up the stop sign, and that's the problem.
Progressives want to progress.
But if you never have a stop sign, what are you going to progress to?
Well, eventually there's going to be a ditch, and you're going to drive the car right into the ditch.
So I would say largely, look, if you...
I don't care if you think something different with me about marginal tax rates or have a slightly different foreign policy or whatever.
If you love America, if you believe that our founding was good, that our foundational documents are good, if you believe in individual rights, if you believe that the Bill of Rights That all of the things that we know make us special, make us the jealousy of the world, the reason that your grandparents or great-grandparents or maybe your parents or you came here in the first place.
If you believe in that, then we can have a wide tent.
And it's going to be tough to hold, right?
There are going to be battles.
What did we just see with the H-1B visa thing?
There was the America first position of American jobs have to be for Americans.
There was the more tech bro thing, which is, oh, we have to bring in the best from outside the world.
But if we can have those battles openly and honestly, All with the backdrop of, oh, well, we all still love America.
That's widely, wildly different than what's happening with the left, where it's this conflation of people that think that America was founded on slavery, that we're not fundamentally a good country, that terrorists are kind of good, and that boys are girls, and all the rest of the stuff.
So I want to put those people aside and take everybody else.
But yeah, we'll have to watch out for it.
And I hope that when you guys see things like, wait, how did this kind of...
Leak in?
Call me out on it and we'll talk about it.
Joe says, does the West need a religious revival?
That's actually sort of connected to the previous question.
I would say yes, but maybe not in the most literal sense.
We need a revival of American values and understanding why the founders created this country.
And that is actually connected to biblical beliefs, right?
The idea...
Jordan talks about this all the time.
Why did Abraham leave the tent?
He was in his 80s.
He had life made.
He had money and everything else, but then he left to go on the adventure of life.
That's what we're all supposed to do, and the American structure gives you the chance to do that.
Why is this the land of dreams, right?
Why is it that your ancestors came here?
There was a chance.
So we have to show that these things are connected.
Ben wrote a great book.
What was Ben's book?
From Jerusalem to Athens.
What was it called?
The Right Side of History.
Where he talks about the connection between the biblical ideas that were born in Jerusalem and the...
You would say the liberal ideas that were born in Athens, in Greece, and that America has been the fusion of those two things.
It's a really great book if you haven't read it.
So I don't know that we need a religious revival in the sense that everyone has to be going to...
To church on Sundays or temple on Saturdays or whatever.
But I think we have to restore belief in the system.
And that's why the transparency that's coming and the competent people that are coming in, I think, could restore some belief to that.
But I would say there is obviously a spiritual component to that.
Why is it that during COVID, at the height of the absolute lunacy, why is it that generally people who were religious or believers to some extent, I'm not saying they had to go to church every week.
Why did they not go as crazy as the purely secular people?
Why is it that someone like Sam Harris, we played the video yesterday, who has been known as like the most outspoken atheist of the last decade or so, has gone so deep on Trump derangement syndrome and turned against so many of the seemingly liberal beliefs that he once had.
I think there is a connection between that.
We are wired to believe.
And if you don't believe in something, you will fall for anything.
Are you sure I just came up with that?
J. Pete says, is it unreasonable to consider the failure of performing controlled burns and making sure fire hydrants have water in them as being intentional?
Well, look, I can't, to some extent, I would say yes.
I can't, I don't know what's in Gavin Newsom's mind.
Thank God.
I don't know what's in Karen Bass's mind.
I don't think that the people, all the lesbians named Kristen who work at the LA Fire Department, I don't think they're evil people.
I think wokeness and DEI have degraded the system there across the board, right?
So is it possible that some of this was intentional?
I think to some extent, yes, but maybe not intentional in like the most obvious way.
The intention, like did a fire department, did Karen Bass take the job and she was like, I'm going to be so incompetent that I'm going to burn down the city.
I don't think so, right?
Like, I don't think so.
So I would give her the benefit of my doubt on that.
However, once you incorporate these ridiculous ideas of equity over equality, really of equity over meritocracy, well then, in effect, whether your intentions are to do good or not, you're always doing something bad.
So why is it that we played you that video earlier in the week where Donald Trump in 2018 was talking about controlled burns?
With Gavin Newsom, and they largely didn't do it.
Why is it that the Palisades Reservoir was empty?
Like, there's a series of things, and it all goes to the inefficiency of these people.
So I'm not that focused on their intentions anymore.
The road to hell is paved with good intentions.
So it doesn't, oh, I thought I was doing really good while I burned down everybody's house.
Like, I don't really care anymore.
You just shouldn't have that job.
Newsom, Bass, they should all resign in shame, but it's Cali, so obviously they won't.
Mitchell says, do you have any favorite moments down in Jalisco during the tequila journey?
So yeah, our tequila is coming from Jalisco, which is one of the four regions in Mexico that they make tequila.
You know, you can grow agave anywhere, obviously, anywhere where you actually could grow it.
So it can be grown in various parts of the United States.
But to call it tequila, it has to be grown in one of those four regions.
Sort of like to call it champagne, it has to be, the grapes have to be grown in champagne.
France, you can make...
Bubbly, basically.
Elsewhere, but you can't call it champagne.
Connor, what would you say were our best moments?
I mean, we had to drink non-stop for days.
I don't remember seeing you there, but I believe you came with me.
I mean, it was just...
Well, first off, it was just cool seeing.
I really liked being out in the fields, actually, and meeting the people that are harvesting the tequila.
And, you know, these young guys that are out there.
It was interesting.
I met, like, young guys that were just starting their careers that were out there, and they're cutting up all the tequila, or the agave, and they're, you know, they're doing, like, the physical work.
And then we met the guy that's, like, the head distillery guy, and he's, you know, the guy's, like, 80, and he's been drinking tequila for 90 years, like, you know.
And he was just great.
Biggest smile, like, loves his job.
Yeah, I mean, it was fun to taste.
We had some good tacos.
That was pretty good.
Anyway, it should be about two weeks, I think.
Adi, can you give me a tequila update in the last five minutes?
Oh, you can?
unidentified
In February, it's in the United States.
dave rubin
In February, it's in the United States.
And maybe earlier.
We're running out of time, people.
People need their tequila.
It's a damn shame, you know?
It's like people needed tequila during the Biden administration.
You may have less need for it in the Trump administration.
Lacey says, you've mentioned your alopecia diagnosis a couple of times lately, and I'm wondering if you can share some of what you did to help yourself heal.
I'm a 46-year-old woman and was diagnosed with alopecia recently after losing about 75% of my hair in about two to three months.
It just about gutted me.
I've never been so depressed in my life.
But with a fairly new drug on the market for this, most of my hair has started to come back.
I'm glad to hear that.
Did you ever figure out what your trigger was?
So first off, I think maybe we showed this once before.
It's very hard for me to look at this.
This is just one picture of a portion.
That's me in 2016, and it got significantly worse than that.
And I was on camera the entire time, and it was the top of my head, too.
It was really, really horrible.
So first off, I am thrilled to hear that whatever...
and is working for you.
It's a horrible thing.
Like it's, you know, vanity is not nothing and particularly for a woman as it pertains to hair.
We don't, look, I took every blood test.
I went to every doctor you could find.
There was nothing physically wrong with me that they could point to.
So they largely, with these autoimmune diseases, they point to stress.
And it was just as I was kind of leaving the left and I was getting a lot of hate online and a lot of friends turn on me and all that stuff.
So there were a couple things.
I started managing stress better, paying a little less attention, let's say, to Twitter mentions.
But also, as you guys know, I've changed.
Not exclusively, but largely to a carnivore diet, changed my workout habits, really cut most of the sugar.
I think that was really probably the main dietary thing.
I mean, I haven't had ice cream in a long time.
Maybe we'll have some ice cream later this month.
I think there will be a little ice cream.
But it was that.
But I was on a very experimental medication that was terrible, actually.
It basically was this topical thing that you would put on the areas.
And the idea was that because what's happening with alopecia is your white blood cells start attacking your hair follicles.
So they basically, what they do is they basically put, in effect, it's like putting poison ivy on your head so that your white blood cells will attack that instead of your hair follicles.
But the reaction that I had to that, well, we showed you that video last week when I interviewed Tommy Robinson 10 years ago.
And if you look at it, like, I'm bloated.
I have huge bags on my eyes.
I was not good.
It was a miracle, actually.
Broken out and red and scaly and itchy and I was hot all the time.
But miraculously, it didn't affect my face, which, you know, it's something to be on camera.
Anyway, I'm thrilled to hear that you're doing better with that.
And I would just say, well, you got to do what works for you, but it's not all medication-based.
But just look into your diet, figure out where your stresses are, and it sounds like you're on your way.
I wish you a lot of luck with that.
Deplorable Denver Dave says, Dave, are you familiar with the 70s not PC SNL skit in which John Belushi is the captain of the ship Raging Queen, crewed entirely by gay men?
It's available on the net.
It's not easy to locate.
I'm curious to hear your opinion of it.
Deplorable Dave, Denver Dave, now living in Sarasota.
Welcome to the free state of Florida, my friend.
I don't know that one by John Belushi.
But...
I will watch it and report back to you.
Yeah, I don't know.
But those were the heydays of SNL. It's such a damn shame.
I mean, the story of SNL is very much like the story of what they've done with almost everything right now.
These great institutions and these great things that were edgy.
You know, the original catchphrase for SNL was, what was it, not ready for primetime, was the idea that you would have these people, that they were unpolished, and because it was live, it was going to be messy.
And now if you watch SNL, they're overly polished.
Everyone's hair is perfect.
They smile and laugh at all of their own jokes.
It's just nothing like it once was.
I guess most things end up being that way.
But I will check out Raging Queen.
There's Raging Queen.
It's basically, so it was basically the village people.
You can't stop the village people.
That's the point.
I'm sure you've seen it already, but if you haven't, my full interview with Stephen A. Smith is up right now.
We will be back tomorrow, panel show, mostly about the L.A. wildfires, because we've got, who do we have?
We have Jillian Michaels in L.A., who's just been unbelievably outspoken on this, and I think we have Carole.
I'll confirm that.
And then we will be in D.C. for inauguration.
So Monday, because inauguration is around 11 a.m.
our time, we probably won't be live at that time.
Maybe I can do something off my phone, but we'll have a show later in the day from Rumble Studios in D.C. Tuesday, definitely, from Rumble Studios in D.C., and then there's a ton of events over the weekend that we'll be posting all kinds of stuff, so stay tuned.
We are saving America.
We're back, baby!

Goodbye.
Mr. Hegseth, are you attracted to obese Hawaiian women with a below-normal IQ? No, Senator.
Mr. Hegseth, are you aware that I used the potty all by myself today?
donald j trump
No, Senator.
unidentified
Mr. Hegseth, you seem to be pretty fertile.
If confirmed, would you commit to putting a baby in me?
donald j trump
No, Senator.
