Having more fun a human being should be allowed to have.
It's great to have you with us.
The telephone number is 800-282-2882 and the email address L Rushbow at EIB net.com.
I want to go to the phones right a gr give me line one.
I think this is a this is a very important point to make.
I have been making this point ever since the election.
This is a crucial point to make, especially today because the riots are underway.
The the the malcontents and the rent of mobs, the paid protesters are getting very near the parade route, and the SWAT teams and riot teams have been called out.
And I'm of two minds on this.
Obviously, you don't want the civil unrest and the danger that it poses.
On the other hand, let these people show everybody who they are.
Because the fact of the matter is, folks, these are the obscure minorities that Barack Obama tried to turn this country over to.
The transformation of this country was specifically aimed at...
I I want to be very careful here.
I uh I mean this seriously, but I don't want to be unnecessarily incendiary.
You know, it's not enough to say that Obama and the Democrats were attempting to transform this country away from the values, institutions, traditions, and people who founded it.
But they were.
And they they uh they trim tr truly believe that since the founding of the country there have been victims of this country because of the founding.
And they have built up that idea and they have fomented it and they have they have inspired people to feel like victims and join groups as victims to be malcontents and unhappy and miserable on the basis that this country is a rotten place and is unfair and discriminatory,
and it's this bunch of people that Obama and the Democrats have been trying to make a majority coalition out of, and they miscalculated totally because these people all together can't even approach a majority.
But for eight years, the media did their best, along with the Democrats, to make it look like this bunch of malcontents was indeed the majority.
How many of you in casual conversations the last eight years with people seriously discussed the prospect of have we lost our country?
Because of the daily presentation in the media and the President of the United States being devoted uh to this coalition of minority groups.
I can tell you that I was fearful that we had lost the country.
And I know a lot of other people, I imagine you too, based just based on how it looked.
We're sitting here.
How in the hell is this happened?
How have a how has a coalition of these people who make up one percent of the population here, one half of one-tenth of one percent of the population over there?
How in the world have these people become the majority?
And we said, well, they run education, they run Hollywood, uh, they run pop culture, and so we talked ourselves into believing.
But they aren't.
And the truth is they're not close.
They're closer than we would like.
But we were never near the tipping point.
But look how look how successfully they made it look like we had lost the country.
And it was worse than that.
Not just that we had lost the country, but that we were the problem in the country.
And I'm telling you, this Trump inauguration starting last night is a reclamation project, reclaiming this country from the people the Democrat Party has been attempting to turn it over to and transform it to.
And I got a c I got a caller who wants to address this.
It's Dave in Star Valley out in Wyoming.
Dave, uh, I hope I didn't steal too much of your thunder beer, but but I I know that's what you want to talk about.
How are you doing?
Oh, I'm doing great.
Thanks, Rush.
This is an honor and it's humbling to talk to you.
And uh grew up looking to you on the job site and appreciate this opportunity.
You bet, sir.
Thank you.
You know, I I've been watching this, you know, for the last year, probably developed more Prevalently with these special interest groups, those who esteem themselves of high class, I don't know exactly what you'd say um other than that,
but they uh you know they masquerade around as though they're the majority in the and the uh media has just ate us up to a point just as you've just said that you know they they're the one percent uh the the the actual minority, but yet they they want the world and they want the media and the media projects them as exactly right, and it was I'll tell you what, it was brilliant psychological warfare because it worked.
I'll give you an example of what I'm talking about.
Let's go to Indiana and the law the Indiana legislature passed, and it and it Pence signed the religious freedom restoration act.
Based on the way the media covered that, you would have thought that the American majority had come to despise Christianity, had come to hate it, and was destined to rid this country of any vestige of Christianity simply because the religious freedom restoration act had been passed, and it was rooted in gay rights and gay marriage.
So what the media did in Indiana, they went shopping.
They started knocking on the doors of businesses with cameras and microphones.
They started asking people questions designed to produce people livid at the religious freedom restoration act, because gay marriage and a number of other things was an affront to religious freedom.
People were being denied religious freedom in who they sell products to, who they do business with, the government was mandating that you do business with anybody despite whether your religious beliefs are being trampled on.
So the religious freedom restoration act was designed to support people of religious viewpoints who did not want to be forced by the deep state to have to violate their religious principles.
And in Indiana, they knocked and knocked and knocked, and they finally found a young woman at a pizzeria 30 miles from Indianapolis, and they asked her if if if a gay couple asked you to provide pizzas for the reception, would you?
And this young woman, she's 20 or 21, no, it would violate our religious.
And that began an all-out nationwide assault on that little pizza shop.
And leftist activist groups partnered up and started protest, and the media made it look, and this was the trick.
The media made it look like the entire country was outraged at these Christians and outraged at the discriminatory beliefs of these Christians, and refusing to tolerate this discrimination against people of color and people of uh immigrant status, uh transgenders, gays, you name it.
And it turns out they had to go knocking on doors to find that one.
Little pizzeria owner.
Uh it was it was classic the way that they then construct this to make it look like the oddballs had become the majority.
I mean an a sizable majority, and that Christianity was being stamped out and ruled out and overrun and all of that, and it that was good.
And this last election exposed the lie of all that.
So now we've got these malcontents who are now realizing that the game's over.
They're not the majority.
It's they've been exposed as the minority that they are.
And so they are losing whatever bit of sanity they had to begin with, and they can't accept anything that's happened, and they're still running around trying to make it look like they are the majority, but the media can't help them now, because the election results are obviously far more powerful than any media report.
It reminds me, I just saw something else.
I want to revisit a prediction that I have made many times.
I realize the program's growing by leaps and bounds of people tuning in for the first time every day here.
I just saw on CNN, with everything going on today.
We have the inauguration of a new president.
We have uh Barack Hussein O and Michelle My Bell now uh uh uh at altitude at 747400 on the way to Palm Springs.
We had the parade coming up.
We've had the uh the luncheon following the inauguration.
We have the Trump inaugural address, which is fodder for all kinds of drive-by.
We got Punditocracy going crazy, and on CNN.
They did a huge story and profile on Barack Obama's new website.
Really?
Barack Obama's new website was front and center news on CNN today.
Yeah, Barack Obama's new website.
And it just reminded me what's going to happen.
You know, Obama said he was asked by many in the media, are you gonna stay silent?
You're gonna speak up.
Well, whenever I see our core values under result.
When I see our common values and core values, I'm gonna speak up.
Get ready for that, folks.
Especially after the Trump inaugural today.
I think you're gonna be seeing and hearing Obama sooner than even we thought.
It's gonna be fascinating.
I want to, I mentioned right after the inaugural address, talked about how I was blown away by once again a performance of the Battle Hymn of the Republic last night during the fireworks display at the Trump inaugural party, the Lincoln Memorial.
And I said, you know, there's something going on here.
This is, I mean, of all the songs that can be chosen by the Trump team to play, of all the musical programming can be used to accompany a firework display in an inaugural celebration prior to the actual inaugural memorial.
Battle hymn of the Republic.
It reminded me back in uh let's see, what was this?
I think it was the year it was 2008.
It was April 6th, it was George Bush's last year in office.
Pope Benedict was an official visit to the White House, and it was his birthday that week.
So there's a big birthday party and big White House celebration for Pope Benedict, and they had the U.S. Army chorus and band performing Battle Hymn of the Republic.
And I loved it.
I I folks, I almost broke down crying last night watching it again.
Same Army chorus with one of the most amazing fireworks displays I've ever seen.
Same arrangement orchestration of the song.
The Trump team, the Trump family walking up the steps of the Lincoln Memorial and getting to the top and standing there and looking out at everybody.
That fireworks display and the song was being sung.
I thought, what are the odds?
What are the odds that something that so moved me eight years ago would happen again, especially now with a with a with a new president?
And then that was last night was just the beginning of a celebration devotion to God of this entire inaugural ceremony from last night through today.
So we went back to the grooveyard of forgotten favorites.
It's TV audio.
So this is not broadcast quality.
We got this from TV, but I just wanted to share it with you again.
Sounded just like this last night.
Battle hymn dates back to the Civil War.
The Lincoln Presidency.
And I shall see the glory of the coming of the Lord.
He is trampling out the vintage web.
The big lose the big soy.
His truth is marching on.
Getting goosebumps again here.
Listen to it.
Listen to it.
I can read His righteous sentence in the living, fairing, that His day is marching on.
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
His love is marching on!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
The arrival ceremony for Pope Benedict at the White House, April 16th of 2008.
Okay, we have a little slowdown coming here, and then it's gonna pick up and it's gonna crescendo you're gonna get goosebumps.
Turn this up out to at least eight hundred decibels, folks.
least 800 decibels.
In the beauty of the lilies, Christ was born across the sea, with
With all glory in his full song that transfigures you and me.
As he died to make men holy, let us die to make men free.
While blood is marching on.
Glory, glory, hallelujah.
His blood is marching on.
Glory, glory, hallelujah.
Amen.
More than 90 arrests in protests in Washington.
These are not protesters, folks.
I'm watching it right now.
I mean, these are criminals.
These are rioters.
These are people breaking the law.
This is not a peaceful protest.
These are people destroying property.
This is hands up, don't shoot Ferguson, Missouri.
We've seen this before.
It's all bogus, and many of these people are bought and paid for.
Uh from left wing donors.
Who knows if I don't know if they still come from the Clinton campaign, but many of the people protesting during the Trump rallies were bought and paid for by the Hillary campaign.
But even Claire McCaskill, senator from Missouri, tweeted something along the lines of that this is a disgrace.
This is not peaceful protest, this is violence.
But yet everybody in the drive-by is calling it protests.
And the drive-by's, of course, want to justify that.
Oh, yes, it's quite understandable that the forgotten people, uh, people that Donald Trump is cast casting aside, why it makes total sense that they would engage in this kind of and it makes no sense whatsoever.
And I I don't know to the extent that this has any impact.
I don't think these riots are going to cause people to regret they voted Trump.
The thinking behind something like this is that if we show enough outrage, if we destroy enough property, if we disrupt enough normalcy that they'll blame Trump for it.
And people will say that it wasn't worth electing Trump if this is what the result is going to be.
But I think they're miscalculating.
I think this kind of behavior is one of the many reasons why Donald Trump was elected, because I think that a vast majority of Americans is fed up with this kind of behavior which is exclusive to Democrats.
It is exclusive to liberals.
You just don't find conservatives, Republicans who lose elections doing anything like this ever.
I'm here, no panic, folks.
I was watching the rioting out there, getting the last mental images before returning to the program.
I ran across something yesterday.
I mentioned this near the beginning of the program, and I said I was going to get to it before the program ended, and I'm going to do it.
I'm not trying to put a damper on things.
Well, you know me, mayor of Realville.
I am rooted deep in uh in reality, and I don't like telling myself, I don't like to mislead myself.
I don't like to tell myself things are 100% rosy when they're not, but I'm not a negativist either.
I am not a pessimist.
I'm an optimist, but I like to know what we're up against.
And I ran across a really lengthy piece at uh commentary.
This was a uh it's a website, and it was uh long ago edited, no longer by Norman Pedoritz, a uh a genuine and tremendous, tremendously smart person.
I I got to know him concurrently with my friendship developing with William F. Buckley Jr.
He had nothing to do with his peace, I'm just telling you who commentary is.
And the title of the piece is Will There Be an Internal Revolt Against Trump.
It's written by a man named Tevy Troy, T-R-O-I, Tevie T-E-V-I, Tebmy Troy.
And basically, it is a story about the fourth branch of government that has just evolved since the country was founded.
It is unelected and cannot be removed, at least by elections.
You can't vote these people out of office.
And it is the bureaucracy.
You know the nature of bureaucracies.
They exist for one reason to exist.
And the things they do are designed to prolong their existence.
And part and parcel of prolonging their existence is never really solving anything.
That aspect is true of some organizations that not even that are not even bureaucracies.
There were some will tell you that the State Department, for example, is populated with people that really don't want there to be a solution in the Israeli-Palestine conflict because then there wouldn't be any need for experts.
There are people tell you that the uh Reverend Dax and Sharpton don't ever really want a solution to the racial divide, because if there ever really was a solution, there'd be no need for them.
And I think that's what John Lewis and Jesse Jackson, all these I think they're really worried Trump's going to be successful and there won't be a need for them.
If if Trump's ideas work, do you realize what's at stake here?
If the ideas Trump has, if his agenda actually works, do you realize how much of official Washington will have just been put on notice?
They've been telling us only they are equipped to deal with these complicated, complex problems.
And they've been telling us this for as long as we've been alive.
And they tell us we need degrees of expertise and experience.
You can't just walk in off the street and do what we do, solve these problems.
The fact is problems never get solved.
Now who is the bureaucracy?
We've talked about this before.
Every bureau, look at the IRS is a bureaucracy.
The uh every cabinet department is a bureaucracy, and there are people in all of these bureaucracies who are appointed.
Some of them they're called career appointees, some of them political appointees, which means they leave as presidents leave and presidents repopulate, but there are permanent positions in all of these bureaucracies.
And because of the nature of things, the left has populated these bureaucracies year after year after year after year with people who cannot be removed.
So the Democrats indeed lost the election.
They don't have a way of stopping Trump in the House or the Senate unless the Republicans turn tail.
But if it in straight party line votes, the Democrats can't stop anything.
And since Dingy Harry nuked the filibuster, they don't even have that as a weapon.
And by the way, that's going to become a strategic thing as to which Supreme Court nominee Trump nominates first.
For example, if you want to blow up the filibuster, you nominate somebody the Democrats are going to trigger it right off the bat with.
You want the Democrats, you want them shooting everything they've got, trying to destroy the first nominee you throw up there.
The theory given, you're going to get your nominee in and they're going to blow everything they've got trying to stop him.
And therefore, after that, your nominees are going to sail through.
So when that all happens, I'll explain it to you.
The point is, there are people, as we sit here today, in these bureaucracies.
They're everywhere.
And they, EPA, FDA, the uh Department of Energy, the Department of Education, they're everywhere.
And they are, many of them are these insane lunatic leftists that nobody can kick out, that nobody can remove.
And that's what Mr. Troy's story is about.
Will there be an internal revolt against Trump?
Reagan talked about this ever-growing bureaucracy on a number.
Just something to keep in mind, because it means that it isn't going to be a cakewalk just because the Democrats got shellacked and don't have numbers to stop Trump.
You know, you're fully aware of all of these regulations that these bureaucracies release.
The EPA just releases tons of them at Peter Fish and Game, all these people just come up with new regulations out of the woodwork, out of the blue that you have to abide by, that they haven't come from Congress, they're not part Of laws.
And I guarantee you they are uber partisan and they are insane, just like all these other leftists are.
So just keep a sharp eye.
There will be a way of dealing with them.
Don't misunderstand.
You can't get rid of them.
And they're there.
And the reason that the majority of them are liberal Democrats is because liberal Democrats, government is their birthright.
Government is what they shoot for.
Government is what they aspire to.
Running it, controlling it, using it.
We Republicans, conservatives, our idea of government is get it out of the way.
Their idea of government is using it against people.
Using it to advance their agenda against the popular will.
That's why they want government.
That's why they want to control it.
That's why they want to be in charge of it, is to be able to use it despite public opposition to them.
Here is Kevin in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
I'm glad you waited, sir.
You're next.
Great to have you with us.
Hi.
Oh, great.
Thank you, Rush, for taking my call, a pre-loser update videos for you.
Thank you.
Very good.
Thank you.
I I've been working with union uh nuclear people here for 20 years, and I've never seen anything like this summer with everybody, male, female, young and old, they fully believe in Trump.
Hands down, no discussion.
They they have a hundred percent.
And I don't think those Democrats up there on the Diaz today on the Capitol have a clue.
Not one clue.
I think they have a hint.
Don't forget now, uh, Kevin, the Democrats, we and we can trace this back to a column that was published in the New York Times, written by Thomas B. Edsel, who used to work the Washington Post and became a Obama campaign character.
They actively strategically purposefully began to throw away the white working class vote as something they wanted to pursue as part of their winning coalition.
They had decided that there was a greater opportunity for victory by coalescing all of these oddball minority groups, and they cast aside what used to be their base, the little guy, the white working class, which includes many union people.
And I can understand your surprise because these people have traditionally been Democrat no matter what, right?
Yes, yes.
Their parents, grandparents, everybody, the families.
That seeds them.
It closes them and their whole lives.
Right.
The water was Democrat, the air was Democrat, everything was Democrat.
And all of a sudden, because the Democrats abandoned them.
This is the great the Democrats became the party of the rich and the party, the oddball kooks.
The party of the rich, the bankers, the Wall Street types, Hollywood, Silicon Valley elites, and the party of the fringe lunatic wackos out there.
And that's the Democrat Party base.
They threw it away.
It's fascinating that that happened during the Obama administration.
It wasn't by accident that it happened.
So you just got an email.
Okay, Rush, you're on the spot.
Describe the Trump inaugural address in one word.
So I thought about it and I thought about it.
You know what it was?
I've got it.
Uncompromising.
And that is what is ultimately so irritating about it to people in the establishment.
Here's some good news from the Hill.com.
President Trump will tap Republican FCC Commissioner Ajit Pai to be the agency's chairman, according to a couple of industry sources confirmed today to the Hill.
Edgett Pai, widely expected to be picked to succeed Tom Wheeler.
A source said that Pai expected to be named the permanent chair.
The announcement could come as soon as this afternoon.
Trust Me.
Excellent, excellent news.
I've gotten to know Commissioner Pye over the years.
He's been part of the outnumbered minority at the FCC for quite a while.
Okay, the two championship games are coming up in the NFL this weekend.
The three o'clock game is the Atlanta Falcons hosting the Packers.
I have thought the Atlanta Falcons are the dark horse in these playoffs since the wild card round began.
They were not a wild card.
They gotta bye week.
And they they uh they they manhandled their their first round opponent.
Now they've got the Packers coming in.
The Packers have beaten them there.
The Packers are on a roll.
Aaron Rodgers is on a win streak.
So the question is the Falcons more diverse, confident, powerful than the Cowboys were.
Uh Georgia Dome last game there.
I don't know if any sentimental value.
Uh but that's a tough one.
Just picking straight up, it's tough.
But I'm gonna go with the Packers.
The Steelers and Patriots, folks, I hate Steelers just cannot beat the Patriots there.
The Steelers haven't beaten the Patriots.
I don't know how long it's been in New England.
Yeah, that's another thing.
It's been reported that 15 Steelers players have had the 24-hour stomach flu this week.
And some of them, most of them have not practiced.
You ever had that, that 24-hour intestinal flu?
I mean, you can lose seven, eight pounds of fluid during that 24-hour period.
I don't know.
Uh the NFL is mandatory that teams are honest on their injury uh report information.
So doubt that that's a tactic.
But we'll see.
I mean, upsets are are possible, certainly hoped for, but man, the Steelers have just had an impossible task.
They don't beat the Patriots in Pittsburgh very much.
And certainly the Steelers have lost two championship games in Pittsburgh to the Patriots.
Now they're going to New England.
Weather's not going to be a factor.
Like 48 degrees in New England.
Georgia's in a dome.
Have a great weekend, my friends.
We've got one little tiny segment here coming back.
This uh inaugural luncheon is still going on, and I can assure you Trump wants to get out of there and get over the oval orifice and start working.
And I don't think he said I more than twice in his inaugural.
See you, Wendy.
Have a good weekend.
We'll be back here on Monday, ladies and gentlemen.
