Time Text
Meeting and exceeding, surpassing all audience expectations every day.
Rush Limbaugh right here at the distinguished and prestigious Limbaugh Institute for Advanced Conservative Studies.
Hey, cookie.
Go get McCain from CNN just now.
They just played a loop of McCain.
He was at Capitol.
They looped it two or three times.
It's amazing.
I I don't know why they did it.
Well, anyway, it's it's McCain surrounded by cameras and microphones.
I I did what any good good citizenship would do.
I I came across a report, and I uh I said, wow.
I said, look at this.
I said, I don't know if it's true, but the FBI should see this.
So I I turned it over, I turned over the FBI.
Did you believe what I don't know?
I don't know.
I have to report, and I saw it and I said, wow.
I said they turn over to the FBI.
That's why they don't need good citizenship to do.
Well, what about the evidence that he just said?
I know.
When I saw it, I said, wow.
I said, this needs to go to some agency.
So I give it the proper agency.
What any good citizen would do?
I gave it to the FBI.
What a crock.
What?
And and they and they loop that.
I I know.
What do we need the soundbite for?
I know.
But the soundbite will back me up.
I mean, no, he won't get any repercussions because he's an approved accepted member of the establishment.
He accepted his loss for the presidency with dignity.
He's officially you know been defeated.
He's a non-edity.
He does what the establishment wants.
He's a member in good standing, he'll be fine.
But they're all running for cover.
I mean, they're all at CNN has a panel of like eight people to talk about this now.
It's ridiculous.
I mean, everybody is in CYA mode.
I did what any good citizen would do.
I got this report.
It says a guy urinated a well, he hired a prostitute to urinate.
Cash, I wish I'd have been there to see that.
You know what I mean?
And it didn't.
But I said, if this is true, do you think it's true?
I had no idea if it's true.
I said, this is something the FBI needs to see.
And so I put my good citizen cap on, and I call the FBI.
I call Comey.
I said, look at this.
Look at this.
We gotta get this guy.
Actually, I didn't say that.
I just wanted to say that, but I didn't say that.
I just said, get this to the FBI.
I'm just being good citizen.
And he loop it three or four times.
Uh, folks.
It's just uh some days it's it's it's just too much fun.
That's why I say more fun than a human being should be allowed to have.
Now, one other example of fake news that happened yesterday, one of my tech blogs is a blog called Gizmoto, and they used to be part of the Gawker Empire.
I I I don't know who owns them now, but they're a tech-oriented blog, but they do have people that delve into politics, like all the tech blogs do, by the way.
And I noticed reading as I do every day in my tech blogs at this Gizmodo site, had a headline the other day that said this.
Trump is letting go the people in charge of maintaining our nuclear arsenal.
Now keep in mind that these people.
Oh, by the way, for you millennials out there, we did an interview for the upcoming issue of the Limbo uh letter yesterday with Tommy Larin.
And is she a spitfire?
I love those kind of interviews where I don't have to say anything and you just ask the question, sit back, and 10 minutes you ask another one.
Uh she's 24 and she is she's just superb, and I had the greatest time talking with her, and I spent some time talking with her about her generation, the millennials and and the fact that she's not a typical uh millennial.
She's achieved, she's goal-oriented, she's not afraid of anything.
She doesn't seek, you know, she's not an innocent snowflake seeking uh safe spaces.
I mean, she's she's got her blog appearances and her YouTube and Facebook appearances and internet star.
And I was talking to her about these tech blogs, and it's it's it's interesting, folks.
I I cannot emphasize this enough.
I don't care what tech blog you read, most of them are populated by millennials, and they're all cookie cutter liberals.
They are just they're like mass produced by education and culture liberals, and they're arrogant and condescending with it at the same time.
And they literally believe, I'm not exaggerating and making this up.
They literally believe that if we don't stop using oil and other fossil fuels, including natural gas, that by the time they are 65, most of the earth will not be habitable.
And they talk about such things as climate refugees.
In fact, Obama, Obama in his silly farewell speech last night, talked about climate refugees.
Do you know what a climate refugee is?
Well, it's somebody who has to leave where they live because temperatures have gotten so hot that if they don't leave, they will broil.
Or else they live someplace where the sea level rise has destroyed their island and their home is now underwater.
And so the climate refugees, and Obama extended the American hand of friendship to climate refugees.
He told everybody that we need to be especially accommodating, not just of religious refugees, but climate refugees.
And there aren't any.
It's entirely manufactured.
But these tech blogs literally believe, and so they're they they quite literally are living lives where they are scared to death.
I am I'm I'm not exaggerating to make a point or otherwise.
I'm trying to be as accurate as I can in telling you who these people are.
To go along with that, they universally think that Donald Trump is the biggest idiot and poses the greatest threat to technology, to success, to business, to freedom, to equality.
Now, why would they think this?
Well, they don't think it.
They have been programmed to believe it.
And it's amazing, these are tech people that you would associate intelligence with and innovation and creativity, and yet they're sponges.
They're literally mind-numb robots.
But the fear, the daily fear that accompanies every waking moment in many ways defines these people and their outlook.
So I'm reading this Gizmodo side the other day, and I see this headline Trump is letting go the people in charge of maintaining our nuclear arsenal.
As I read the story, and the story was that Donald Trump is so stupid and so out of touch, that he doesn't think nuclear weapons are a problem, and he's going to get rid of everybody in the government who knows anything about them.
Everybody involved in maintaining our nuclear arsenal, and to them that means making sure they never get launched and never go off, never fire.
Trump's getting rid of everybody who knows anything about nukes.
Because Trump is a mean bad guy.
And they run this story and they don't question the source.
It turns out to be fake news.
It turns out that there's nothing to the story.
Gizmod runs the story about how the awful and evil Trump transition team is firing people who run the National Security Administration.
And they start worrying and fretting, and how are we going to stop Trump?
And then later on, they run the same headline with one word added to it, and that one word is updated.
And then they run a correction.
And they say another official speaking on background to Gizmodo has disputed the report as inaccurate while confirming that there have been no discussions between Trump's team and anybody at the nuclear arsenal about anything.
So they believe that why did they because they already believe Trump is scary, that Trump's going to start a nuclear war, that Trump and Putin are buddies, that Trump doesn't believe in climate change, that Trump is just uneducated and is wants to deny people their freedom and their liberty, And he doesn't like gays and transgenders, by the way.
That's a big deal with the tech blog community.
And so here comes a story saying that Trump's firing everybody who knows anything about nuclear weapons.
And they believed it.
And then they had to run a correction, but they didn't change the headline.
They just added the word updated to it.
Anyway, they got snookered.
It's another example of fake news.
It's why I'm telling you.
I'm going to continue to I don't care where you encounter it, if it's on CNN, MSNBC, if it's in the New York Times, wherever it is, your first reaction to anything from now on has got to be what if this isn't true.
Because it is overwhelming the amount of fake news that's out there, and it's out there on purpose, and it's out there as part of the leftist agenda to destroy Trump, to destroy the Trump presidency, to render it ineffective before it gets going.
It's it's breathtaking.
And as we've learned from BuzzFeed and CNN, they don't have any qualms at all about publishing fake news.
And they make excuses for doing it.
And it's a variation of, well, there might not be any evidence, but the seriousness of the charge dictates that we tell you about this.
And even journalism professors at the top schools are acknowledging, yeah, this is okay with us.
I think they're destroying themselves.
I think the media is literally destroying themselves.
And you talk about people out of touch with the people who make this country work.
They have in fact CNN and and Buzzfeed, they have no idea that they contributed to Trump winning just by virtue of behaving the way they do.
People are fed up with it.
Inside baseball, when that NBC tape came out, Billy Bush and Trump.
I was gonna tell you, I made a phone call.
And I said, the American people are tired of this, and if this is played the right way, you can turn this into an advantage.
Because I was fed up with it.
I was fed up.
It was predictable as the sun coming up that we're gonna have something like this.
And my instincts are that you and half the American people, if not more, are fed up with stuff like that having an impact on elections instead of issues, especially now when the issues of this administration are participating, contributing to the destruction of this country.
And whether or not there's a tape of Trump when he tapes some show access, it's irrelevant to people.
Because it's not nearly as important as what Trump's potential is in terms of fixing these problems.
And that's what people cared about.
But the people in Washington, it's politics as usual, because they don't even think there is a crisis, and they don't think the country is in trouble.
Nothing's going wrong as far as they're concerned.
Their kids get into whatever school they want.
They make a lot of money.
They're not denied anything they want.
They've got power, they've got friends, they've got their network.
And what could possibly be wrong?
They have not the slightest.
And these are the people that tell us they're sensitive, and they care about the little guy.
These are the people looking out for the downtrodden.
They couldn't care less about the downtrodden.
In fact, they sit there and mock and imitate, make fun of the downtrodden.
They impugn them all the time, the little guy.
Because of where they live.
And so, they don't get it.
Every one of these attempts, every one of these attacks, just cements Trump's support base even tighter to him.
Now I want to go to the audio sound bites.
Ted Cruz yesterday on Capitol Hill, a Senate Judiciary Committee during the Jeff Sessions hearings.
Cruz took the occasion of his time to question sessions to not just doing that, but also setting the record straight with all the lies and distortions the Democrats on the committee had told as the day began.
When the Department of Justice used Operation Chokepoint to target legal businesses because they disagreed politically with those businesses.
The Democrats on this committee were silent.
When the Obama Justice Department sent millions Of dollars of taxpayer monies to sanctuary cities that were defying federal immigration law.
The Democrats on this committee were silent.
When the Obama administration refused to enforce federal immigration laws and unilaterally rewrote those laws, the Democrats on this committee were silent.
When the Obama administration released tens of thousands of criminal illegal aliens, including rapists and murderers into the general population, Democrats on this committee were silent.
When the Department of Justice signed off on the Obama administration paying a nearly two billion dollar ransom to Iran, contrary to federal law, the Democrats on this committee were silent.
All day the Democrats had spent pontificating and lecturing Jeff Sessions on whether or not he followed the law.
Whether not he'd be rogue in there, whether or not he would use the position of attorney general to implement the president's agenda like Loretta Lynch and Holder did, which was fine with them.
But when it came to sessions, he better not do that.
And so Cruz is pointing, oh yeah.
He also mentioned Fast and Furious.
When the President and the previous attorney general concocted a program to sell weapons to Mexican drug cartels out of American gun stores, the Democrats on this committee were silent.
Just nailed them to the wall.
Also nailed Al Franken to the wall.
Here's the next sessions soundbite.
When the Obama administration ignored and rewrote provision after provision of Obamacare, contrary to the text of the law, the Democrats on this committee were silent.
When the Obama administration signed off on illegal recess appointments that the Supreme Court had to strike down unanimously, the Democrats on this committee were silent.
And when the Obama administration released five Guantanamo terrorists without the required notification of Congress, the Democrats on this committee were silent.
That pattern has been dismaying for eight years, but I take today as a moment of celebration.
If once again this committee has a bipartisan commitment to rule of law, to following the law, that is a wonderful thing, and it is consistent with the tradition of this committee going back centuries.
Right.
And then it would ask Senator Senator Sessions, do you agree?
Yes, Senator, I do.
And that would be it.
Now I'm looking for Gloria Borger.
We got time before the break.
Let's see if I can because I mentioned her earlier in its soundbite.
Did I find it?
Did I find it?
Yes!
Grab sound big number 19.
Here's Obama last night in a farewell address.
Did you hear earlier?
We played a soundbite where Obama we need to keep work on closing gitmo.
Yay!
What do we keep working on closing get mo?
It's a broken promise.
You said we're gonna close Gitmo the first day you were in office, and it never happened.
We've got to keep working on close.
It it's like somebody else been running the country, and we got to go out and continue whoever was doing the work, we got to continue it.
And Gloria Borger finally figured out the limbaugh theorem.
She doesn't know it.
But she finally figured out the limbaugh theorem is the way Obama gets away with no accountability for anything he's done, is he never was perceived as governing.
He was always as an outsider campaigning all the time against powerful forces trying to stop whatever it was he wanted to do.
And she kind of picked up on that after watching his speech last night.
In terms of talking about what our politics has become, it now seems as if he's starting to stand outside of it a little bit and critique what our politics has become, and I think he sees himself as a useful critic that way, saying that it's not only become dishonest, he said, but now we have a selective sorting of the facts, and our politics have become self-defeated.
Hey, Gloria, he's still a president.
All of this he did, but note what she says here.
In terms of talking about what our politics has become, it now seems if it started to stand outside it a little bit and critique it like he had nothing to do with it.
Hey, Gloria, he's been doing it for eight years, babe.
Eight years, count them.
Here's the McCain soundbite.
We'll see how I did.
I just I just heard about 20 seconds of it, but we now have 47 seconds.
John McCain on Capitol Hill today speaking to the press about the fake news story that he helped spread about Trump and the Russians.
And after looking at that information, I took it to the FBI and had no further involvement with the issue.
By the way, according to some media reports, they had already had that information, but I didn't know that at the time.
I did what any citizen should do.
I received sensitive information, and then I handed it over to the proper Agency of government and had nothing else to do with the issue.
Why do you think they came to you?
No idea.
Do you find the information credible?
I don't know.
That's why I gave it to the FBI.
I don't know if it's credible or not.
But the information I thought deserved to be delivered to the FBI, the appropriate agency of government.
Does it trouble you?
It doesn't trouble me because I don't know if it's accurate or not.
What do you mean it doesn't trouble?
If it doesn't trouble you, why did you have your good citizenship hap on?
Think you had to go over to the FBI, give it to Comey.
It doesn't trouble me because by the way, I wasn't the first one.
I did.
I I I found out they already had it.
So don't come at me.
I found out they already had it.
You know what?
And I don't know if anything to you.
I just I just got a hell with it.
Didn't work.
Screw it.
Uh, folks.
It is.
Well, it's great and it's funny and it's but you know, it's it's also dangerous and it's pathetic.
And it's embarrassing.
I mean, these are the supposed leaders of our government here, supposedly putting the American people and uh issues, economy first and so forth, and it's sure as heck, isn't that?
This is self-preservation on display like we haven't seen in a while.
Okay, we'll have the compressed version, a condensed version, the Obama uh farewell address, and a couple other things, plus more phone calls from you, so just just be patient.
We'll be right back.
Here is Andy in Boca Raton.
Many people mispronounce this thing as Boca Raton.
It isn't.
It's boca ratone.
Anyway, great to have you, Andy.
How are you doing?
Thanks for taking my call, Rush.
Many mega dittoes to you.
Thanks for recapping last night's speech.
It wasn't gonna wait 51 minutes of my time.
You summed it up in about two and a half minutes.
So thank you very much.
I want to wish you a happy early birthday.
I know it's coming up in a couple of days.
My present to you, sir, is coming to you on the 20th when they remove the elect from President-elect Donald Trump.
I'm glad that's my president to you, sir.
Uh, just wanted to ask you a couple of quick questions.
One, if it ever did come out that the Russians never hacked the election, will a drive-by media ever stop pursuing that?
No, they won't no.
They won't.
Number two, can Donald Trump say anything to prevent them from ever asking that question again.
Uh it I think at some point it's going to be replaced by something else, but the premise behind it will never go away.
The attempt to discredit or destroy Trump's victory and then presidency is something that they are going to be a long time letting go of.
Uh not only is it a uh a stratagem, and not only is it a technique, they really believe it.
Andy, this is the thing uh about leftists.
They really believe that that means some of them, that climate change is destroying the plan.
They really they really believe that the Russians hacked the election.
Now, let me break this down a bit.
I do believe that at the upper echelon of liberalism where they strategize this stuff, I think these people know that it's all BS.
But their rank and file eats it up as verbatim.
The people on the protest march, the average ordinary leftist Democrat showing up to vote.
Uh 90% of the media, they believe it.
They literally believe that Trump benefited from Putin hacking the election.
And they believe that happened because they think Putin would rather see Trump because now they think Putin has stuff on Trump they can blackmail him with.
Because they can't intellectually understand the country rejecting Hillary Clinton.
They are that out of touch.
They cannot.
They can't come.
They think these last eight years have been the road to nirvana.
And they can't understand the American people rejecting this.
So it has to be some trickery.
And they're not going to let go of it until they have something else to replace it.
Four years from now, eight years from now, they are going to continue to say and try to persuade as many people in the public as possible that Trump's illegitimate.
That's all they've got.
All they've got is whatever technique they can come up with to de-legitimize the Trump wins.
Same thing that George W. Bush after the Florida recount in 2000.
They just don't accept reality.
Remember, understand them.
To them, there is no reality.
Reality is just what we build and construct to exclude them.
I'm glad you call.
I appreciate those questions.
I really do.
We'll be right back here, folks.
Sit tight.
Here's Trista in uh in Plains, Kansas.
Great to have you on the program.
Really glad that you waited.
Hi, Rush, Megadetto.
It's from a small farm that feels like it's a brand new day.
Thank you for taking my call.
Thank you.
Great to hear from you.
Listen, I wanted I called to tell you thank you.
You don't talk a whole lot about this, but I feel like somebody needs to be your voice.
And just thank you so much for what you do.
We're a homeschool family, and you do so much stuff for families like us, for homeschool families.
We have all of your books.
We use them in your c in our classroom.
When I go to homeschool conferences, I hear families talking about how they use your books for kids that need inspiration reading, and the kids all of a sudden start reading voraciously.
I hear people talking about how they use your books like we do for launching pads for historical deep dives.
But not only that, I've never heard you talking about your website that Rush Revere and your team with Rush Revere have set up.
And we use it in our classroom, and it's not just for homeschool kids, but it's for any kids that are interested in history.
But it's amazing.
Your website is amazing.
Not only that, Rush, but I want to thank you personally because our daughter is one of four of the scholarship winners that you picked for this fall for your Rush Revere Home School Scholarships.
And that scholarship means the world to us.
So I just want to thank you personally from the bottom of my heart for everything that you do.
Well, I it's wonderful.
I'm I'm I'm uh the Lord look thank thank you very much.
You know, I I occasionally when when when I when I talk about the the book series and we had a new one out uh in in November, I often suggest that people go to the Revere website or the uh the Revere Facebook page because we do uh we have a great relationship with a lot of the readers.
They send pictures of the books arriving from Amazon saying the the box opening videos and the kids that uh get into the characters and dress up like them.
But you're right, I probably don't talk about it enough.
Um, it's and the challenges, you guys put challenges on there to get the kids involved, and it's absolutely amazing.
We're blessed with two kids that love, love, love history.
And I hear about families whose kids don't, and it's your websites and it's your books, and it's your stuff that actually is able to turn the page in those families' homes, and we need it so desperately.
We need kids that understand the Constitution and love history and want to go in and find the truth.
So I think that's exactly why we do it, and and I that's why you're you're making my day here.
But we have I can't thank you enough.
One thing one thing I do not talk about uh very much at all, and it's simply because it's not why we do this, it's to be talked about, but we have an extensive uh involvement relationship with the entire homeschool community.
We we have a presence at I don't know how many homeschool conventions during the year, and we donate books to uh uh some associations and some libraries because you're right.
The the i if if more people had a thirst or a hunger for the genuine history of the founding of this great country, we wouldn't have as many problems as we have today.
That's exactly right.
So, how old are your kids?
I've got a 15-year-old, she's the scholarship winner, and then I've got a 12-year-old.
Sixth grade and a freshman in high school.
And and you have all the books.
We have all the books.
In fact, we're just starting the president book, your latest book.
My son and I, the sixth grader.
We're just starting that in about three weeks as part of our reading curriculum.
Wow.
So history permeates every facet of our homeschool program.
So and you make it easy.
Well, you just make it easy.
But it's not just for homeschool.
Everybody that we hear about it all the time, kids that love your book.
Well, thank you so much.
Hey, what would you like a new iPhone or iPhone 7 Plus?
Rush, we're fine.
We're we're we're just do you know anybody who would hey, I've got to go.
I've got to hang up.
But look, I can send you a brand new pair of AirPods if you want one too.
Mr. Snerdley will continue the sales job.
We have to take a break.
Don't go away.
Okay, we have the name of the British former MI6 agent involved in this bogus Trump story.
Not that it'll matter, but we've got the name.
But we're out of time today, folks.
But we're always tomorrow by the NFL playoffs coming up again this weekend.
More on that too.
