The New York Times and the op ed page, Stanley Greenberg.
You know who Stanley Greenberg is?
He used to run a polling unit with James Carville.
May still run a polling unit with James Carv.
He is the husband of the lovely and gracious Rosa Deloro, who is the A Democrat Congresswoman from Connecticut.
Anyway, he's got a piece in the New York Times today was Barack Obama bad for the Democrats.
They know, folks.
Not only was Barack Obama bad for the Democrats, you know who else Barack Obama has done great damage to?
That is the media.
Live from the Southern Command in sunny South Florida.
It's open live.
Folks, the media has been damaged greatly in this entire campaign.
Their polling data was all wrong.
Everything about them is all wrong.
And because they were wedded to making sure that Barack Obama looked good.
That was their objective.
And the reason for that was twofold.
Ideology and race.
And boy, would I love to delve into both of those in great detail.
But I'm going to do that at another time.
Because there are lessons to be learned.
People continually ask me, why does the media do what it does?
Why, why did they so obviously self-destructive?
Why are they so obviously predictable?
Why is the media so obviously biased?
Why do they so obviously do they not see how other people see?
No, they don't.
And but then again, they don't care, folks.
They really do think, well, I'm not, as I say, I'm not going to get into it.
But they have done great damage to their own credibility, their reputation, their legacy.
Just like the Democrat Party has been not mortally, but really deeply wounded.
And so now New York Times op-ed and a bunch of Democrats that want to run the Democrat National Committee are openly talking about the damage that Obama, his legacy, his agenda, folks, the things that, you know, Obamacare and immigration, you name it the whole thing.
It's been devastating to the Democrat Party.
Now the media is not reporting that, obviously, but individual Democrats are starting to ask it.
And it is it is a huge major problem.
So maybe if I remember all this, some point we get back in the new year to delve into this, because I I think the explanations for this are amazingly educational.
And remember, one of my quests here is to enable more and more people to be able to spot liberalism when they see it and liberals when they see them, and then know what's coming.
So that you might be in a position to oppose it and stop it, which is the objective.
A tweet leads to a story.
Tunisian terrorist, Anis Amri, who ran the truck into the Christian market.
He was seen at a Berlin mosque on two occasions during the week before his attack on the Christmas market.
And then some eight hours after fleeing the scene of the truck attack.
At about 3:30 in the morning, he was seen at the same mosque on closed circuit video.
And then the guy was seen at other mosques.
But they tell us that this terrorism is not about religion.
No, no, no, no, they say it's not about religion.
It's just that Christians are being attacked by militant Islamists.
But it's not about religion.
Yeah, right.
The guy spotted at mosques beforehand in the planning stage, and then back at the same mosque, to take a celebrated high five after the attack.
But it's not about religion.
Fictional radical Islamic terrorists.
Not about religion.
It is indeed about religion, as Trump continues To point out.
Bill Gates, UK independent, revealed the three skills that he believes will make somebody successful in the future job market.
And based on the data that he's collected, he said people with three backgrounds will be the most in demand in the coming years.
Here are the three areas, the three backgrounds, the three uh areas of expertise that people will need if they are to be successful in the future job market.
Number one, the sciences.
And what Gates means by that?
Climate science.
The next area that you will need in the future to get a good job is engineering.
Engineering as it relates to climate science.
And then economics.
And economics means dealing with the collapse of economies from climate change.
I'm making the climate change stuff up.
But I wouldn't be surprised if it's a if it's a factor in this name, because they think climate change is everything.
But those are the three fields that Gates believes you're going to have to be proficient in.
One of these three, or you're going to be out.
And again, they are sciences, engineering, and talent on loan from God.
And here we are, my friends, open line Friday, my last live program of the uh year.
We have a best of on Monday.
We've got our Christmas show also at some point.
And the and a uh best of from, I don't know which best of it is.
We just pick anything.
I mean, it's they're all best of.
And then a parade of guest hosts will be in here uh for the balance of next week.
This is Estee in Brooklyn.
It's great to have you.
I'm glad you waited.
And welcome to the program.
Thank you, Rush.
I want to thank you for the many hours of learning and enjoyment that you have given me.
I appreciate that very much.
Yes.
And I would have wanted to know your opinion of the A list of celebrities that are snubbing the inauguration.
And there are some that are asking, I I read online that there are some that are asking on the QT for tickets.
And if and there are some that are going to go openly, but will they be blacklisted?
From the um from the general producers and directors and people in Hollywood.
Maybe.
Maybe.
I'll tell you what I think is going to happen.
I'm going to give you a long-term prediction here.
Okay.
And uh it's risky because any number of things are going to happen that nobody can foresee.
But right now, everybody on the left is playing to type.
They are behaving exactly as you could predict.
They're children.
They think that uh they run the world.
They think this election's an aberration.
They think that Trump is subhuman and a gigantic accident, and that they're all threatened.
Uh he's not cool, and therefore uh they're very proudly pointing out that none of them are gonna perform at his inauguration.
And the time is going to come when they are going to really regret this, and they're gonna want to be within Trump's orb at some point, because this country's gonna take off.
This country's gonna be rocking, this country's gonna be cooking, this country's gonna be sizzling, and everybody is going to want to be close to Trump.
Trump likes celebrities, he is one.
Uh the way he's dealing with this now is to say, I don't want these A-listers here.
I'm not asking these people to perform.
He's saying that these stories of A-listers turning him down.
I don't know what we're not asking them.
I want the people at my inauguration.
And I think I think that's that's probably true.
He also said they did nothing for Hillary, so I don't need them.
He said uh, meaning they didn't help her.
Right.
He's exactly right.
Right.
You know, Hillary had all these A-listers.
Well, look at this this this parade of losers that did that video encouraging electors to not vote for Trump.
They ended up abandoning Hillary more than they abandoned Trump.
Trump lost two electors, Hillary lost five.
Right.
These people are irrelevant.
They're as irrelevant as many other prominent leftists are.
They just don't know it.
What about the what about the ones that are accepting?
There aren't many.
They say he's having problems getting trouble getting performers.
Well, let me let me I've got to take a break here because we've reached the aforementioned hard break.
Can you hang on for a couple minutes here?
Yes.
I kind of thought that you could.
So we will be back in just a moment.
Okay, we are back now.
We have uh Estee in Brooklyn talking about the A-listers and what they are saying about refusing Trump's invitations to perform at his inaugural, and Trump's saying I haven't invited him, I don't want them.
I uh I I want the real people here.
He's got the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
There's a story in the New York Post today that a rocket, the Rockettes have been booked for something.
Yes, and one doesn't want to perform.
Yeah, and then and one doesn't want to perform and make a big deal out of it.
Of course, the media loves stuff like that.
So they find this one rocket.
It's like you can have 10,000 people at a rally for Trump and 200 people outside, and the 200 people outside make the news.
One Rocket, who's probably a lughead, doesn't even know which ends up or down, ends up making news, and the media loves to present.
I'll tell you, I think this is the stuff that's been backfiring on people.
I think I think these A-list celebrities that are all lined up for Hillary, I think they hurt her.
You look at this video that these clowns did to try to persuade electors to not vote for Trump.
It hurt them.
It didn't help their cause.
I agree.
I agree.
I think they heard her as as well.
As as far as as far as Trump and where he comes down in all this, I really don't know.
I have to my my wild guess is that Trump is a celebrity, and I think he thinks it'd be pretty cool if he get out in John if he gets some of these people to show up.
But right now they won't, because I'm gonna tell you something.
The black list against people in the entertainment industry that show up for Trump is worse than that black list you heard of in Hollywood back in the 40s and 50s.
This is the coffee area?
The coffee era?
This is real.
I mean, the the powers that be in entertainment are really threatening anybody who shows up at the Trump inauguration is gonna have trouble getting a job.
They're ticked off.
They lost, they've been humiliated.
But I'm telling you that they're gonna keep losing.
The winning has only just begun.
Okay.
I I hope nobody loses their job because they perform or they show up or they support him.
Uh I hope it doesn't.
If they do, they'll they'll pick those if somebody like that, whoever, namely, if somebody loses a gig because they publicly show up at Trump's inauguration, I guarantee you somebody else is going to hire them and pay them more than they were making whatever they got fired.
You watch.
Will the others flip?
Well, the ones that are uh oppos opposing Trump right now or verbally opposing him, will they flip because of this?
If others get hired, will they soften?
Well, uh even if they do, you have to ask, is it genuine or is it is it simply you know getting in front of the wind and the way it's blowing?
Um are you one?
Are you are you an A-list celebrity that you're you're you're worried about?
Just curious.
Just curious.
Oh, not at all.
I don't even know who the A-lists are, too many of them anyway.
I I think the died in the wool hardcore liberal.
And remember that the more died in the wool, the more hardcore, the more ignorant they are.
And yet they don't know that.
They think they're the opposite of ignorant.
They're the last to fall.
And some of them have dug themselves so deep now here in opposition Trump.
I don't know that they can ever uh in their minds with credibility.
Well, just like some of them flipped um like Romney and all the people that met him at Trump Towers, and they came off their high horse.
Maybe some of these celebrities will have a change of heart.
What why do you why does this matter to you?
You think you think Trump's gonna need them?
No.
No.
Just curious.
Just curious about um because I frankly, I'll tell you what, I saw a survey today, and it is that NFL fans are fed up with listening to players talk about politics.
They wish they'd shut up and play football.
And I think the vast majority of people look shut up and act, shut up and sing.
Shut up and start in your TV show.
Just shut up and do what you do.
But shut up.
I think they're wearing out their welcome.
I think they've overplayed their hands, I think.
And it's documented.
Most of them don't know what they're talking about.
Anyway.
Okay, I have to go here, Xy, but what is your preference in iPhone, iPhone 7 or 7 plus?
7 plus, but I wanted an unlocked phone.
Is that possible?
Sure.
Okay.
I have an unlocked phone.
What color do you want?
Uh black.
Black mat, black black match?
We've got you covered.
Black mat unlocked iPhone 7 Plus.
Hang on, so Mr. Snerdley can get your address.
Here's David in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Next up you are, sir.
How are you?
Merry Christmas, Rush.
I appreciate you taking my call.
I'm a huge fan of the show and been listening to you for years.
Thank you very much.
Same to you.
Um you spoke the other day about you know the popular vote and the fact that you know Hillary was about 2.7 million votes ahead of ahead of Trump.
And I think it's fair to say that voter fraud played a big big part in that number.
So I was wondering to get your perspective on the you know the lack of reporting of voter fraud, you know, from the Jill Stein recounts, especially in in uh places like Detroit where you know sixty percent of the precincts had to be thrown out because of irregularities.
And kind of along with that, you know, what do you feel the uh Trump administration's appetite's gonna be to try to tackle you know true voter reform?
I th uh well I th I think the Trump administration is gonna go after voter reform by going after other things first that'll take care of it.
For example, whatever percentage of illegal immigrants are voting will be taken care of by whatever Trump's immigration policy is.
I other than that, uh I think most of Trump's efforts in that regard will be efforts that we don't see.
Um, especially early on.
Look, he's gonna be in the celebratory mode.
This is gonna be he's gonna be inaugurated president.
He just skunked Hillary Clinton, just skunked the media, just skunked the Democrat Party in the Electoral College where the campaign was held.
You know, these people want to talk about the popular vote all day, let them talk.
But the campaign was not conducted in California, where Hillary won the popular vote.
That's where she won the popular vote, and nobody campaigned there.
The campaign was in battleground states because the electoral college is how we choose the president, and in that campaign, Hillary lost big.
She didn't even go to these wall states, blue wall states like Wisconsin.
She lost no matter how you slice it.
I don't think Trump wants to turn this into a negative by focusing on vote fraud uh as a as a primary uh issue.
So soon after he's inaugurated, I think there are other agenda items are gonna take precedence.
But you're right about Detroit.
Where there was vote fraud, it was in Democrat cities.
And I think you're gonna find wild guess that if you ever really dig deep into vote fraud, you're gonna find all kinds of it in sanctuary cities and sanctuary states, which happen to all be Democrat.
If you look at Detroit, the problem or the humorous thing about Detroit, there were more votes cast than there are people who live there or who are registered.
So while Jules Stein is out there trying to find evidence that Trump cheated, what they found was that the vast majority of it was occurring on the Democrat side.
Okay, gotta go here quickly.
But David, it's your turn next to choose an iPhone 7 or 7 plus as a gift from the EIB network.
Which would you like?
A seven plus would be great.
7 plus carrier?
ATT.
ATT color.
Uh Matt Black, if you have any left.
We do.
We got Matt Black.
It's your I'm gonna send you a sim-free unlocked, which means it'll work with any carrier you include it.
What kind of phone do you have now?
I have a six.
Well, take the SIM card out of that and put it in this.
Bamboo!
You are up and running.
I really appreciate it, Russ.
Thanks so much.
You're gonna love it.
You're absolutely you have a six or six plus right now.
I I just have the smaller one.
I kind of really wanted the bigger one and uh just didn't get that initially, so this is great.
Well, you know, a lot of people don't like the big one because they can't use it one-handed.
And that's true.
You can't use it one-handed.
But uh I think as a change of pace, you're gonna love it.
Yeah, I think the camera's gonna be really nice from what I've heard.
And the battery life.
You are you're gonna easily get through a full day without having to charge it.
I mean, I've got let me just show you right here.
I've got pull my phone up here just to give you an illustration.
Let me click on the battery settings app.
Okay, I'm at 80 percent on my iPhone 7 plus.
I have 47 hours of standby and seven hours 38 minutes of usage, and I'm in 80 percent.
Oh, that's great.
This but meaning this phone was charged two days ago.
47 hours, five two days ago.
So basically at 3 o'clock on Wednesday was the when this charge, this phone was last charged.
Now, I must admit I've plugged it in for two and three minutes at a time.
Well, like I use it for car play in the car.
So if I'm in the car fifteen minutes, it charges 15 minutes there.
So this is not but you'll easily get a day and a half with it.
Easy.
Easily and probably, depending on how you use it, uh, maybe even more.
So don't hang up so we get your address to get it out to you.
If you want it tomorrow, we'll try to get it to you.
Thank you.
You bet back after this, folks.
Okay, here's my my other my this is my ATT iPhone 7 plus, and let me look at the battery settings on this.
Just to give you an idea.
Okay, it's it's still at 100 percent.
I charged it uh four hours and twelve minutes ago, and it's showing 40 minutes of usage.
So four hours and twelve minutes ago, I pulled it out of the charges, fully charged, still at 100% with 40 minutes of usage.
Uh I just read on one of the blogs that people with iOS 10.2 are complaining about battery life.
It's never been better.
You know, for me anyway, uh I just I read some of this stuff.
The media, I don't care where they are, it or who they are.
They're anti-corporate, they're anti-conservative, they're anti-progress and success.
It just boggles the mind.
Look, uh, folks, every year at this time, I make the point that something about the Christmas season, holiday season that I am overwhelmed with my attitude of gratitude, my my feeling of thanks and appreciation for everything and everybody.
Uh my attitude of Thanksgiving is is one of for the nation.
Uh the historical connections, Thanksgiving as it was proclaimed by George Washington as a day of giving thanks to God for the nation.
But every year, and I'm this is we're wrapping up our 20.
I can't get up.
Is it 28th year and we've just started our 29th, I think.
Or we've wrapped up our 29th and we've started our 30th.
Whatever, it's a long time.
And I want to uh say one thing.
All during this campaign, from the day Donald Trump came down the escalator, which was June the 16th.
From from that day forward, I have always always had it in my mind that he could win.
And as the ensuing days shortly thereafter continued, and Trump the everybody thought that the media was right that Trump nobody could support Trump with the things that he was saying about McCain and Mexicans and so forth, and started speculating that didn't really want to win.
He's doing this to hype up his apprentice TV show and so forth.
And that didn't happen.
And with with every succeeding week, Trump's support grew.
And I recognized it, not that first day.
I was part of the crowd on the first day, I was laughing myself, silly.
This is this is great.
It wasn't long after that I began to recognize some things.
And I mean, I've seen this before, I said to myself, I've seen every bit of this before.
And I have with you.
I was able to confidently think, and I mentioned this at least three times that I thought Trump could win.
And in one time that I mentioned this, it was back in March of uh this year.
I actually predicted that I wouldn't be surprised.
I didn't predict.
I said I wouldn't be surprised if he wins in a landslide.
And the reason for this is because my experience with you.
I had seen it all before.
I had seen the kind of connection that Trump supporters had with him, because you have it with me and I have it with you.
I mean, 29 years, and the audience of this program has never gotten smaller.
For a couple of years it remained constant.
We approached record highs again in this year.
There have been people listening to this program since 1988 when it started.
Some people didn't get it till 1992, but regardless, the degree of loyalty and support for the program that you all have shown is just it was it helped me immensely understand why Trump was succeeding.
And I was extremely confident.
I knew I knew his people were not going to abandon him.
I as I say, I had experienced it and I had seen it.
And the gratitude that I that I feel for all of you, you can't begin to understand it.
I mean, start in 1988, and I throw myself out there and I say, here's who I am, and this is what I think, and this is what I believe, and this is how I'm going to explain it and share it and transmit it.
And it has been accepted and supported beyond my wildest dreams.
You have demonstrably shown your appreciation and your loyalty to the program, the degree of sophistication you have in terms of knowing what it takes for this program to succeed, such as your your eagerness to patronize our sponsors.
I mean, you have you have uh been the sole reason why I've been able to overcome some of the uh mistakes that I've made and some of the many attempts that have been made to destroy this program, even though they were fallacious, but you've hung in there through all of it, and it's you who have actually made this program live the life that it's had for the length of time that it has.
I just cannot thank you enough.
I my degree of appreciation for your being there, and you're willing to admit that you're there and to show evidence of it each and every day is um it's an acceptance that many people will never know.
And it's a risk throwing yourself out there every day.
You never know if you could reject you and tell you to go pound sand, but you all don't.
There each and every day, you come back for more, and it's it's the the most enjoyable aspect of my life, and it has been for I don't know how long, and I have never had any desire to stop doing it.
I just and because I know how much you have trusted it, and I know what your expectations are every day, and meeting them and making the time you spend here worth it to you is my fundamental purpose and everything it entails making that happens.
I just, again, this time of year I get all mushy, and I just I wish I knew how to thank you more than I do.
Uh, people tell me how much this program's meant to him, but man, it pales in comparison to how much you have meant and do mean to me and all of us here, the overrated staff and uh and my family.
So thank you again.
You get older, one aspect is people get sick and they start passing away.
And at Christmas time, you have great nostalgic memories of things.
I hope yours are great.
I hope it's a wonderful weekend for you.
I'll see you back next year.
Thank you again.
Thank you again, folks.
Thank you ever, ever so much from the bottom of my heart.
