I got an email from uh from a Democrat disagreeing with me.
I'm assuming it's a Democrat.
Because I told the last caller, last caller won it, why did Bernie stay in this when he knew the game was rigged?
And I went through all the reasons that Bernie would stay in.
But at the top was the ego aspect of it.
Seriously, folks, here's a guy.
Bernie Sanders, who didn't have, he act this is this is true.
He did not have a full-time job until he was 40.
He was 40 years old before he got his first job.
He's never made any money.
He's never been uh he's the kind of guy that walks down the street, you don't know, you don't notice him, there's nothing particularly noteworthy, and then this happens, and a guy who couldn't get noticed by an ant farm a year ago is now drawing crowds in excess of 10,000, and it went to his head, and he loved it, and he ate it up and he wanted more of it.
And at some point, I think he did become convinced that if he kept at this, that they could overwhelm these superdelegates, that at some point he could cause so much unrest that the party would have no choice but then to acknowledge that he was winning everything.
I think that's one of the reasons he hung in.
I really think he was trying to overthrow what had been rigged against him.
And at some point it became apparent to him that this wasn't gonna happen.
So I get this email during the break.
You know, that's crazy.
You you you you just make things up about people all the time.
I'm paraphrasing, I don't didn't print the email.
I have the thrust of it here.
If if that's why people did things, you'd be out there all the time.
You think people want to do it's because the crowds and because the ego?
You'd be out there all the time.
Then that explained why he did it.
Otherwise, you'd be out there doing the same thing.
You'd be doing speeches a bit.
And I said before the break, no.
I I actually uh well.
That would be the last reason for me.
I that stuff I uh makes me uncomfortable, actually.
Uh so but I just know people like Bernie's case.
You get caught up in it.
It's easy to believe.
You know, you uh I've always tried to keep things like that in perspective, but it's easy for people to get lost in it.
It's easy to how many how many people do you know it i in in your life, be it where you live or be it uh somebody who has a decent amount of fame.
How many people do you know who think they are really big time something?
And they're really when you get down to it, nothing, and yet you you marvel at how they're able to convince themselves they're really, really huge.
I know people, you wouldn't believe the number of people.
I know people with with programs that have an audience of three million who really do believe that the whole country is watching or listening to them, and they get lost in that and they lose their perspective, and they end up losing their humility.
And for people that like that kind of adoration, it can be um seductive, and I do think Bernie got caught up in some of that.
Now, I'm not saying he didn't believe what he was saying.
I'm not saying he wasn't a movement guy.
He clearly was.
He had all the ingredients there.
Anyway, uh, just to explain the snarky email, 800 282-2882, if you want to be on the program.
We've got the audio of uh of Leon Panetta being booed resoundingly, heckled resoundingly as he's listing all of our military achievements in dealing with ISIS and getting bin Laden and then listing the recent acts of terror and how this administration and this regime is ready to deal with it.
And he starts getting heckled, and he doesn't understand.
He's never been heckled at a Democrat convention.
It's like Ted Kennedy, he wouldn't know what to do with being heckled.
Chris Dodd, these guys that would Biden, they wouldn't know what to do if that happened to them.
And it happened to Panetta.
Here's how he praises dictators From Saddam Hussein to Vladimir Putin.
Today.
Only today.
Let me point out something that just happened today.
Donald Trump today once again took Russia's side.
He asked the Russians to interfere in American politics.
That should have created a standing ovation.
That line on Trump should have created a standing ovation in that hall.
And all they're doing is booing.
And by the way, I'm going to add again here, Panetta knows full well that Trump's not doing anything of the sort.
Trump is not asking the Russians to intercede in a presidential election.
He's just what's the we've goosing these guys?
He's just jamming their pomposity and their arrogance right down their throats.
Don't forget, we don't think this Hillary server emailed episodes over, and they do.
They think they've won.
They think they have stopped the investigation.
She's in the clear.
She's been exonerated.
They're moving forward.
We haven't accepted that.
And that's another aspect.
Since we're still on this, David Gregory will not let this go either.
He was on Wolf CNN this afternoon.
And Blitzer said it's audio soundbite number 30.
Blitzer said, Trump now says he was simply being sarcastic.
Yesterday, Newt Gingrich said he wasn't being serious.
Does Trump have a fair point in this?
Mr. Gregory.
No, I think he has no fair point.
What candidate for the presidency would be sarcastic or would joke about something like that?
And if he was being sarcastic, why did the campaign immediately release a statement by his running mate Mike Pence to clean up what Trump had said and say, well, you know, Russia's dangerous and they would face serious consequences if they did this.
I think this is a big moment.
I'll tell you why.
I'll tell you why Pence went out there is because they could see you guys circling the wagons.
You guys are putting them in the Alamo and you're covering the front door and the back door.
Wait, there wasn't a back door.
Anyway, you guys are surrounding and you're prepared to fire everything you got.
That's why Pence went out there.
We defend our people.
This this guy Gregory, he no more believes that Trump was actually some of these people might be such true believers they actually do believe this stuff because of their convoluted, perverted understanding of conservatives and Republicans.
They might actually think all that, but I'm I maintain that most of them don't.
Most of them know that Trump was cracking a joke, being sarcastic and jamming them, and they don't want him to get away with it.
They don't want to be successful in mocking them and mocking Hillary, so they're out there doing what they can to create public opinion opposite to it.
And I really, I said it once before I'll say it again.
I think Trump has a natural instinct to these things that he may not even understand.
It's called talent.
And I don't mean this as a put down.
I can imagine people today are gonna start analyzing this that I just said and think I'm stretching.
I'm not stretching.
I think people have some people have uh natural talent towards certain kinds of humor or snark or put down.
And they don't have to conceive it.
They don't have to think about it in advance, they don't have to write it down, they don't have to brainstorm it.
It just happens.
I know it does with me and liberals.
I taunt them all the time.
Half the fun of this program is taunting the media.
And frankly, there's nobody better at it.
If I wanted to, folks, I could have myself in the news every day the way Trump's in the news today.
Most of the time it happens, I choose to do it.
I tell you in advance, okay, we're gonna taunt them today.
I'm gonna say something, and you watch tomorrow, they're gonna all go ballistic, and they do.
Am I right, Snertley?
It's become a fun thing to do here.
I know just how to push their buttons, and that's what Trump did.
Doug Schoen was on Fox News uh Hannity last night.
This is a quick second bite.
It goes by six seconds.
And this is after Obama's speech.
And uh and Hannity Hannity said, okay, look, I watched Joe Biden say that Donald Trump is known for your fire.
Oh, this is another great example of what I'm talking about.
But first the soundbite.
Hannity says to Doug Schoen, Democrat polster, Democrat consultant from the past.
He says, I watched uh Joe Biden say that Donald Trump is known for your fired.
And I'm thinking tens of millions in poverty and out of the labor force, the president bragging that the unemployment rate's down.
Sure, if you don't include the chronically unemployed.
If this election is a referendum on the incumbent or Secretary Clinton, she will lose.
Wait a minute, what was that?
If this election's a referendum on the incumbent, that would be Obama, or Secretary Clinton, she will lose.
You know what that means, right?
What shown is saying, they're gonna have to find a way to destroy Trump because Hillary doesn't have it in her to draw a bigger crowd than she's already got on her own.
And she doesn't.
Folks, the polling data out, this is it's it's that that USC, uh, U.S.gov.
poll that I've been highlighting for a couple days, Trump went up again last night.
He now has a seven, or it's it's 47 to 40.3, so it's a 6.7 percentage point lead over Hillary.
He has gone up like a half a point to a point every night this week.
This is the poll that has 3,000 respondents, and it and their tagline is 95% certainty that our poll is accurate.
That's just the way they characterize it.
It's an ongoing poll of 3,000 and 400 of them are constant.
400 of the 3,000 are constant.
And her negatives, her unlikability, or what is it, dislikability, her untrustworthiness like 68%.
And you go look at this convention, you look at all of the testimonials that she's had, and all of the accolades.
And of course, it doesn't matter.
It's like last night before Obama's speech, they brought out a secret weapon.
They brought out an aging woman who turned out to be a gold star mother.
Now you normally associate those with pro-military types, which you don't assume Obama is.
And this woman just launched into one of the greatest testimonials of how great Obama is, and she said something like, I wish you could all hug him like I am so you can feel his heart beating next to yours.
Gag me.
Well, that kind of stuff has been by Hillary Clinton all week, but it it doesn't matter.
She's got to live up to it tonight.
And she's been in public life 30 years.
Why do we not know of all of these good works already by virtue of them having happened?
If presidential elections were decided by who has the most spokespeople, yeah, you might be worried.
Because Hillary's had a whole slew of people out there telling us how great she is.
But I met it when I asked Dinesh D'Souza early today.
How in the world does she live up to all this?
Just in from a performance standpoint, just the speech that's as good as electrifying, as moving, as those that have preceded her.
Forget the content, just the emotional connection these speakers have made with that audience.
How does she do it?
And I predict, I think I know how she's gonna do it or try.
The first thing we're gonna get this this video, and it'll be a video of things that we haven't seen with Hillary before.
That we're told happen all the time.
Hillary just doesn't brag.
Hillary is not one who talks about things, Hillary does things some such pap.
And it you better be prepared to be overloaded with children in this video.
Marion Wright Edelman will be in there, the Children's Defense Fund, and it's just going to be.
The time that film's over, you're going to think that most kids in America don't have parents.
And most of those kids that don't have parents have been living or been taken care of by Hillary Clinton.
That's what they're going to have to do.
And there might there might, I don't know if they'll do footage from Haiti.
You know, that could open some worms because they've the Clintons stole.
Well, I say they appropriated some funds for Haiti relief that ended up in the charitable foundation somehow.
And they may not want to open the lines of investigation into that.
That's why Bill didn't mention the Crime Family Foundation.
Bill Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation didn't mention that, didn't mention a Clinton Global Initiative.
Doesn't want to focus attention there.
But if she's done all this great stuff, why wouldn't he talk about all the charitable work that should have been so obvious?
Which takes me to Biden.
And his speech last night.
I was just, I know we've got, oh, here it are.
There's one, uh, number 25.
Maybe keep 25 standing by.
Uh Biden was saying things like, Hillary has been there for everybody.
She's been there for parents who need money to send their kids to college.
She's been there for health care.
She's been there for parents who stare at the ceiling, worrying whether their kids are going to have jobs with high enough pay.
And I'm literally thinking, what is all of this?
Hillary's been there for everybody.
Where is this parade of people?
We may see it tonight.
We may see a parade of people who tell you they are alive today because of Hillary Clinton.
They have children today because Hillary Clinton.
They have an income today because of Hillary Clinton.
My family of ten kids all got cancer, and Hillary Clinton saw to it that they all got treatment, stuff like that.
But it's all going to be news to us.
We'll have never seen this before.
We may have heard people allude to it.
But this student loan business, again, I got to remind you, Trump nailed this the other day in that press conference that they all hate.
The student loan program is a money-moving scheme.
The student loan program is how liberal universities and colleges end up getting massive amounts of federal money.
You notice tuition never comes down.
Room and board never comes down.
Student loan rates just go up.
And more and more students need a loan to go.
And who now runs?
The banks don't run them.
The government does.
The student, as Trump pointed out, is the conduit.
The student is the mechanism whereby the government can funnel money to major institutions of higher learning by way of the student loan.
And I tell you, I am truly offended when I listen to these people who are in charge of this program and who have damaged the college education premise.
They alone, the liberal Democrats have destroyed the whole premise to college education by attaching $200,000 in debt to a graduate.
They are the smart people who told us they could handle this.
And so all these people supposedly are protected from these high interest rates and these these damaging and these mean loans.
They run the program for crying out loud.
They're not fixing any of it for anybody.
They're making it worse for everybody.
Here's another thing that Biden said, ripping into Trump for the title of his TV show.
You're fired.
That is so.
That's almost along the lines of, well, we can't have competition because there's winners and losers, and the losers are humiliated.
So we can't have a TV show called You're Fired, because it it it it might, it might really offend people who have been fired for so we can't.
It's just it's absurd.
Somehow Trump hosting a show called You're Fired.
Biden went on to say that that proves that Trump doesn't care about the middle class.
Biden said, imagine having a TV show where you get to say you're fired, you're fired.
That's not somebody who loves the middle class.
And then you want to say Trump is clueless.
Donald Trump doesn't have a clue about the middle class.
Really?
Mr. Vice, who do you think works for him?
Who do you think's on all those construction crews?
Who do you think it is that starts in his construction cruise and works their way up to his executive suite?
Donald Trump in the construction business doesn't understand the middle class.
He pays them.
He provides their health care.
He provides for their future.
What do you mean he doesn't understand the middle like you do?
You know what the Democrats understand about the middle class?
What the Democrats understand about the middle class, what they think about the middle class is that those of you in it are so incompetent.
You can't go anywhere without the federal government clearing the way for you.
You won't have the sense to spend your money the right way.
You won't have the sense to take care of your kids the right way.
You don't have the sense to educate your kids the right way.
You in the middle class are the epitome of the great unwashed, and you have to be guided through life by those who are your betters who understand things, sophisticated things that you don't.
That's how they look at the middle class.
I got an email.
I checked email during the break.
You're not spending much time on Obama's speech.
That's right.
He didn't mean any of it.
There they go.
How do I know he didn't mean any of it?
Why was last night the first night we've heard a bunch of this stuff from him?
First time in eight years.
Seven and a half.
Well, eight when you count the campaign of 08.
Why?
If he believes all this stuff, where was it?
If he believes all this stuff, why'd he go to Reverend Wright's church?
If he believes all this stuff, he's out there saying this line I particularly loved.
Obama said our power does not come from some self-declared savior promising that he alone can restore order.
We don't look to be ruled.
Oh, really, Mr. I'm gonna lower the C's.
Oh, really, I'm gonna heal the earth.
Oh, really, Mr. Executive orders on immigration.
Oh, really, Mr. Apology tour?
Oh, really?
Our power doesn't come from some self-declared savior promising that he alone can we Well, really, we are the ones we've been waiting for.
That's why, folks, because it's just it's tough enough to listen to it and then to be watching it realizing that way too many lot of people are are eating it up.
It's just asking a lot.
Here's uh here's here's Laurie in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Welcome to the EIB network.
Hello.
Hi, Ross.
Huge dudos from Kalamazoo and um happy birthday to you too.
It's a huge honor to talk to you.
Well, thank you.
Yeah, I loved your um interview with uh D Sousa.
Right.
I've um seen the movie twice, loved it.
It's great.
That would be Hillary's Hillary's America.
You've been to see it twice.
And you know what?
I'm gonna take the kids.
I've been encouraging everybody on Facebook to go see it with um a bunch of backlash there, but I don't care.
I'm still gonna tell everybody.
But um, what I wanted to say about the movie was I was talking to a friend of mine, and she had she, I wanted to know if this was happening happening to anybody else out there.
Because she had three complaints trying to see the movie.
The first one she had called, and she actually talked to a person that said the movie wasn't showing in town.
You could only see it in the big cities.
And so this the movie was actually showing at the other theater in town, and when she called that message, the time message was garbled and hard to understand.
So she had to go to Facebook to find out, you know, the time.
And the third problem was the movie actually stopped.
It was cut and they had to repair it.
So I just think that's just kind of crazy to have all these issues.
I'm wondering if anybody else is having issues to see.
Well, we'll find out.
Um I I know that uh a lot of people are hearing what you're saying and thinking, no, that would never happen.
These people are not gonna sabotage their own effort to make money.
I mean, the theater owner is gonna play the movie.
There's no way he's gonna turn customers away.
There's no way the guy who's already agreed to run the movie is gonna try to see to it that people don't come see it.
That may be right, but you don't know about the employees of these places.
How about people at work in bookstores who go take a rush revere children's book and put it in a cooking session section turned upside down, outside back or whatever.
Don't discount that the employees of places like this died in the wool crackpot leftists would uh would do this.
There are stories after story of story evidence of things like this happening.
The movie having to be stopped to be repaired, that I don't know if they're running it on film, I don't I'm not I don't know how widespread digital projection is today in in movie theaters.
I would need to ask Denish what the predominant media is he's using to distribute this.
Because the days of big cans of film being flown around by FedEx, those are gone.
Unless it's a really unless you're using giant 70 millimeter uh super duper technicolor.
Uh and even then.
So that's that sounds a little a little strange.
But the but the great thing is you've seen it twice and you want to take other people to go see it.
We had Dinesh D'Souza on earlier, and it's uh it's now the uh it's it's the highest grossing documentary of the year, and it's gonna be in the probably the top five of all time in that category.
And what you do, you go to the website, Hillary's America the movie dot com.
All one word, no pronunciation.
Hillary's America the movie dot com.
They'll put your zip code in, and the website will return to you the nearest theaters.
That's one way of finding out.
It's you know, it's over a thousand theaters now, so it should be relatively close by to uh to most of you.
Lori, thanks much.
This is Laird in Savannah.
You're next on the EIB network.
How things in Georgia today?
Well, it's still wonderful, a little warm but beautiful.
Well, thank you, sir.
I want to thank you for taking my call and thank you for the work you do and what you've done for the last twenty eight years.
But uh here's where my thoughts were, and it's been worth waiting to get to you.
Uh and now that the Hildebeast and her minions are trying to label the Russians as our enemy and are accusing Donald Trump of aiding and abetting our enemy.
I find it very ironic that we have finally the Russian space pro space program and trusting them with the lies of our astronauts.
I think uh Trump's comments were surely satire.
And maybe some wishful thinking.
But I truly hope that uh either they or someone who has those emails will be brave enough to go ahead and somebody's got 'em.
Somebody's got 'em.
And I wouldn't be surprised if whoever has them holds on to them to blackmail Hillary if she wins.
You know, you can go one or two ways with these things.
If you have them.
Like if you're Julian Assange, he chose to release the DNC emails showing thuggery, showing hackery, showing rigged elections during their convention.
And all of that was designed to redound negatively to Hillary.
Well, he's obviously got more.
I mean, it that's just a DNC server.
There's obviously more.
He's d he's not admitting the source, says it doesn't matter.
But he's obviously got more.
Let's say there's the Russians.
Yeah, the Russians could look at this one of two ways.
The Russians could say, you know what, we're gonna stand aside.
We're gonna let this election play out.
And if Hillary wins, we own her.
We've got all this stuff from her server, her emails, the Democrat Party.
We can blackmail her and have her doing our bidding every day of her presidency.
That'd be one way of looking at it.
Another way of looking at it would be, and by the way, I I have been meaning to mention this, and I it I'm glad I remembered it just now.
I don't remember exactly when, but Putin has accused us of interfering in Russian elections.
And I forget the circumstances.
It wasn't that long ago.
It's been obviously during the uh Obama administration.
And the reason I mention that is that some people are theorizing this is payback for that.
That we this goes on all the that that's another thing that offends me when these neophytes like David Gregory running around acting like this doesn't happen, and it's just outrageous that Trump would guess this.
It's outrageous that Trump would want to.
The superpowers are trying to undermine each other every day with computer cyber attacks, any number of things that are going on.
This is why it's so damn important to have patriots in these positions.
It's why it's important to have people who love America in these positions and take attacks on America seriously.
It's why it's important not to have in these positions people who already think America's guilty of things.
It's why it's so damn important to have people in these positions who don't think they have to run around and apologize for America.
It's bad enough that our enemies are trying to undermine us in any which way they can.
The Chiccoms are doing the same thing.
And by the way, ladies and gentlemen, I want to remind you of something.
And I have mentioned this on several occasions on this program before, but I think it's necessary to do so again.
Because back during the Reagan administration, all the way back in the 1980s, there was a senator by the name of Teddy Kennedy.
And you know what Teddy Kennedy did?
Teddy Kennedy sent a letter.
He might have even gone to Moscow.
He sent a letter.
I'm looking for the story.
He sent a letter to uh Yuri Andropov, I believe it uh it was here it is.
Let me take a break.
I just saw the clock.
Senator Kennedy requested the general secretary of the Communist Party of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.
It was Yuri Andropov to ignore Reagan and to be patient and wait Reagan out.
Kennedy wanted Andhropov and the Communist Soviets to be patient and wait along with the Democrats for Reagan to end his term, and we could go back to normal relations.
You want to talk about Trump and the Russians.
Senator Edward Kennedy actively sought to undermine, and we found out about this with the collapse of the Soviet Union, and they had this giant treasure trove of files from the KGB that were released, and Kennedy's letter and subsequent letters was among the treasure trove.
Teddy Kennedy was trying to undermine the Reagan administration with the Soviet Union.
May 14th, 1983, Reagan's first term.
We will be right back.
So Teddy Kennedy sent an emissary request to Yuri Andropov.
Hand hunch of the Soviet Union in 83.
The only real threats to Reagan's reelection are problems of war and peace and Soviet American relations.
These issues, according to the Senator, will without a doubt become the most important election campaign.
The movement advocates a freeze on nuclear arsenals of both countries, uh, continues to gain strength in the U.S. The movement's also willing to accept preparations, particularly from Kennedy for its continued growth.
So Kennedy was encouraging a nuclear freeze, encouraging anything he can do to undermine Reagan so as to undermine Reagan's re-election.
Teddy Kennedy was working with the Soviets, sent an emissary, a guy named Jay Tunney, to talk with N Dropov.
Don't go on Trump and treason?
And by the way, why are we not seeing any Kennedys or Cuomo at this convention?
Hmm.
I Mr. Snerdley, I'm not I could take Curtis's call, but he doesn't have enough time, and I know I want to talk to him about what he wants to talk about.
Will you ask him for his number if we call him tomorrow?
Open line Friday, and assure him that no matter what Hillary says tonight, no matter we'll still talk to him about this because it's still relevant.
He wants to talk about he's a young black male, and he's upset with all of the cop killing going on.
And he just saw straight out of Compton, the uh the movie.
And something in that movie has caused him to have an opinion about all this, and he wants to talk about it.
And I just I could have taken his call and had him tell you all this, but we wouldn't have gotten anywhere because time would have expired.
So hopefully he'll uh let us call him tomorrow.
Because I think his comments about the culture he saw in that movie and what role it might be playing in all of this unrest.
Anyway, have a uh uh yeah, I gotta take the break.
Sit tight, folks.
We'll come back and wrap it up right after this.
Okay, so here is my serious question.
We have had three nights the Democrat Convention painting a picture and telling stories of superwoman.
Wonder Woman.
And the Hillary Clinton we know doesn't live up to any of this.
This is not a put down.
I'm in this case it isn't.
I am very curious to see how she and they meet the expectations they have set up for her tonight.
