Time Text
Welcome to today's edition of the Rush 24-7 podcast.
You know, I got people urging me to do it, and it's one of these things where, you know, you do it once and you do it.
You come back and you try it again, and it's never the same.
And it's kind of like when you go out there, you have a great spontaneous time, a Saturday night party, just any kind of spontaneous get-together.
It goes so well.
Let's do it again next week.
And so you try to do it again.
It's never the same.
And I got people saying, you got to do Operation Chaos 2.0.
You got to do it again.
You've got to do it for Crazy Bernie.
I think it's actually already happening.
I think Operation Chaos is actually what the new name here for the Clinton campaign.
Holy smokes, folks, do you know what's going on?
We have even audio soundbites coming up.
There is genuine panic in the Hillary camp.
They know she's got the nomination locked down, but it's got them concerned.
She's losing support.
She's losing energy.
She's not getting anywhere near the same kind of support she got in 2008 in the primaries there.
And she ended up losing.
Her support is even more tepid than it was in 2008.
It's clear that if there were no prearranged assignments of superdelegates to Hillary, that it would be up in the air.
If this were not a preordained outcome on the Democrat side, this whole thing would be up in the air.
Greetings, by the way.
Great to have you.
800-282-2882, if you want to be in the program.
Here are some of the numbers.
And this is why I've got people suggesting I do Operation Chaos 2.0.
Democrat, the Drive-By Media has been declaring the Democrat race over for two weeks now.
And in their coverage of West Virginia, they say it's over.
But they keep cataloging Bernie Sanders' victories.
If you leave out the superdelegates, which of course, you know, you can't, but just for discussion's sake, if you leave out the superdelegates and their automatic assignment, Mrs. Clinton, Hillary only leads Crazy Bernie by 280 or so delegates, and there are still 1,053 delegates up for grabs in the remaining primaries on the Democrat side.
And Bernie is on a roll.
I mean, Bernie has, he's won 10 of the last 15 primaries.
His total, he's won 19 states.
Hillary has won 23, but the trend is Bernie Sanders, and if you didn't know this, if you just kept tabs by referencing what you see every week reported in the news, it seems like he's winning everything.
Every time he's in a primary, it seems like Bernie Sanders wins it because he has now won 10 of the last 15 primaries.
Now, if Bernie Sanders or others, somebody along with Bernie, Democrat Party, could convince just half of Hillary's 524 super delegates to move over to him, then he'd be tied with her.
You know, he's got, I think I saw he's got 89 superdelegates and Hillary's got 524.
That right there is the illustration of how this is preordained.
Hillary's Clinton is a coronation.
Hillary's win is a coronation.
It's been bought and paid for.
And Hillary, what if she's indicted?
She's not going to be indicted.
Can we all agree now that she's not going to be indicted?
That just isn't going to go anywhere.
And it was obvious from the get-go it wasn't going to go anywhere.
And even if it does, even if I end up being shocked and stunned and surprised, she'll keep on if she's indicted.
That's a badge of honor, resume enhancement.
Vast right-wing conspiracy out to get her.
What do you mean, Rush, vast right?
James Comey, former Ashcroft aide, FBI director, right-winger.
That's what they'll say.
Yeah, but Obama runs a DOG.
I mean, they'll accuse Comey of doing some credit.
They'll find a way to blame it on anybody other than Obama.
Anyway, Operation Chaos 2.0, I think, is what's happening.
Now, not that Republicans are registering in Democrat primaries, remaining primaries and voting for Hillary, but in a sense, there's utter chaos on the Democrat side and deep within the bowels of the Democrat campaign.
And the exit polling data for the Democrats in West Virginia.
You know, the people of West Virginia are not stupid.
I mean, the people of West Virginia, they know what Hillary Clinton said and meant about coal miners.
She could apologize all day long and claim that they misheard her, but they didn't.
They heard her say exactly what she said about the coal business.
But that's not even the story.
The story is that Hillary Clinton is headed down the home stretch, coughing and wheezing her way to the finish line.
Hillary Clinton has had months to improve as a candidate.
She has had months to work with a voice coach.
She has had months to adjust.
She has had months.
She has had a guaranteed outcome.
She could have been doing a lot of things to change the perception.
She could have been engaging in many efforts here to look energetic and confident and so forth, but she hasn't done that.
And therefore, the perception is that she's limping across the finish line.
And the perception is that if the game weren't rigged via the superdelegate, she might not win this at all.
And she can't improve on herself.
See, that's the thing.
That's a dirty little secret.
This is it.
This is Hillary at her best.
There hasn't been a better Hillary.
This, folks, is it.
She's deeply flawed.
She's limited.
She's not interesting, except from the standpoint that Nurse Ratchet was interesting.
But she's not engaging interesting.
She's not the kind of person you want to know more about.
She's not the kind of person you want to see more of.
She's not the kind of person you want to hear more of.
All of those things are attributes that Trump has, but Hillary doesn't have a single one of them.
And that gaffe/slash truth statement she made about coal mining and wanting to toss it out of business and bury it.
That was a microcosm of her entire campaign.
She cannot connect with people because she doesn't give a damn about them.
This is the dirty little secret, again, about most of the people on the left.
They don't connect with people because they think they're better than everybody else.
They are condescending and arrogant toward everybody.
They want everybody to be victims.
They want everybody to be in need.
Self-reliance and self-sufficiency, you don't get admired in the Democrat Party for being that.
You become a target if you're self-reliant.
You don't need them.
And so she's incapable of anything other than talking down to people.
She said she wanted to be a champion of everyday Americans.
At the same time, she's telling everyday coal miners that she doesn't care about their lives and their jobs and she's going to put their business out of business.
Some champion.
I mean, she's with even a fixed outcome.
She is barely keeping her head above water, even with the rules tilted entirely in her favor.
She doesn't have any momentum.
She's running as a 74-year-old Jurassic Park socialist who won't even make a claim to being a Democrat.
She does not inspire.
I mean, there might be some aging feminazis out there that have a lot invested in Hillary, but it's ancient stuff.
I mean, it's stuff that goes back to the modern era of feminism, back to the 70s, mid-70s, late 70s, and so forth.
And she's protected by the media, obviously.
If not for that, I mean, all these other things.
She could be out of the race.
All it took was somebody more attractive.
All it took, the same thing happened in 2008.
And the first chance they had to get somebody they really believed in more and thought was better, Barack Obama, they switched on a dime, and it ended up not being even close.
I mean, it's got to be embarrassing.
Another disaster, West Virginia, and here comes Crazy Bernie winning 10 of the last 15 primaries.
And the polling data, nearly half of West Virginia Sanders voters say they would vote for Trump.
Did you see this?
This cannot be comforting to them inside the bowels of the Democrat Party.
Nearly half of the voters in the West Virginia Democrat primary who backed Crazy Bernie say that they would vote for Trump.
CBS reporting the exit polls.
44% of Sanders supporters surveyed said they would rather back Trump in November than Hillary.
23% said that they would support Hillary Clinton if Crazy Bernie doesn't get it.
31% said that they would support neither.
And see, here you have the same kind of divide and high negatives on the Democrats that you never hear about them.
You only hear about the high negatives on the Trumps.
Oh, speaking of Trump, I have 53 seconds.
Actually, it turned out to be 49.
49 seconds of Donald Trump appearing with Greta Van Susteren back in 2012.
Not next.
It's coming up soon.
I'm going to play for you, Trumpists.
I want to get the reaction.
I got three Trumpists here on the other side of the glass.
And so far, no matter what, there is an immediate defense, explanation, and no big deal to whatever embarrassing or tough to explain or whatever comment that Trump has made in the past.
No matter what you pop up there, it doesn't matter.
I want to see if this one is reacted to in the same way.
Let me grab some quick audio sound bites here on the Democrats.
I will start here.
This is Nora O'Donnell.
Now, let's start with Crazy Bernie himself.
He was in Salem, Oregon last night.
As the returns are coming in, the polls were closed, and he's all fired up.
We've won a big, big victory in West Virginia.
And let me be as clear as I can be.
We are in this campaign to win the Democratic nomination.
You know, he sounds a hell of a lot better when he yells and screams than Hillary does.
And his crowd's more into it.
I mean, Hillary is saying, we are in this campaign to win.
We.
And audience would be crazy Bernie, it's an entirely different thing.
Here's Nora O'Donnell, CBS this morning, reporting about Bernie's win last night, West Virginia.
Another primary win for Bernie Sanders is prolonging the Democratic race.
His victory in West Virginia doesn't change Hillary Clinton's overall lead, but it is one more bump in her path to the general election.
See, no matter how much Bernie wins, he doesn't change anything.
He's won 10 of the last 15.
Doesn't change anything.
What if Ted Cruz had won 10 of the last 15?
Do you think it would have been, hey, you know what?
It still doesn't matter.
Trump is still easily the non- You think that'd be the case on the Republican side?
You just reverse things here.
And if Cruz had won 10 of the last 15, they wouldn't be reporting another little bump in the road for Donald Trump.
Ted Cruz just won't let him go away.
A little chihuahua out there yipping away at the cankles.
Just won't go away.
In fact, they report about Crazy Bernie.
Here's Doug Schoen, who reports now that the Clintons are getting panicked.
This was on Hannity last night.
In a word, there's panic tonight.
The Clintons don't have a strategy to deal with Bernie Sanders.
If they lose California, the whole game will be up for grabs.
I've been in the room with her and with Bill Clinton.
The Clinton campaign in 96, we had a clear strategy for Dole, carried us through.
I'm sitting here telling you the Clinton campaign does not have a clear strategy or idea how to deal with Donald Trump, and the political rulebook is being rewritten.
They don't have a strategy for dealing with Trump?
I thought they did.
I thought it was just going to be a series of ads replaying things Trump has said about women.
I thought that was going to be the ticket.
I thought that was going to send them roaring to victory.
And all they had to do is play audio soundbites of various things Trump has said.
Now Doug Shoan says they have no strategy on how to deal with Trump.
They don't have a strategy to deal with crazy Bernie either.
You know why?
They don't need one.
It's fixed.
It's rigged.
Except Shoan says if he wins California, then I have to think.
Folks, you're not going to see this reporter because the media is a bunch of slaves to the Democrat Party.
But don't you think there have to be some nervous nellies in the Democrats?
Let me look at this.
They can see like we can, and they look at the Trump campaign.
I don't care what they think of Trump.
What they see is ribald excitement.
What they see is unchecked enthusiasm.
What they see is support for a candidate nobody has been able to do anything about.
Nobody's been able to strip any of Trump's support away from him, no matter what.
They see the Republican establishment desperately holding on, trying to hold on and losing at every stage.
And they come and they look at what's going on in their own campaign, and they see the same kind of energy and turnout for Bernie, and they see everybody yawning in their sleep for Hillary.
Is this a nominee?
And what are they going to rely on?
They're going to rely on.
Well, the media will take care of us.
The media will destroy Trump for us, except the media is not going to be able to because the media didn't make Trump.
I think you Democrats are going to have to learn that one pretty fast.
It's the last bit of advice I'm going to give you.
But you can't, your guys in the media cannot destroy people they didn't make.
Now, look at all the negative ads have been run against Trump.
Have they heard?
Trump's out there actually thinking they're helping.
Trump said he doesn't have a ground game strategy.
He doesn't need one.
He's just going to do rallies.
He doesn't need a ground game.
He's not going to get a ground game.
He's not going to get a bunch of people at phone banks making phone calls and doing.
He's just going to keep doing appearances, doing rallies.
It's the same thing he's done to get him where he is now.
That's exactly why he didn't have a ground game going to the primaries.
He's going to try to win every state, go to a dove or different rallies in a bunch of different states and just keep doing that.
Blanket the country with rally after rally after rally.
The crowds are big and big and big, and there are people lined up for miles, half a mile outside, can't get in.
He said, what do I need a ground game for?
I'm just going to keep doing rallies.
Meantime, on the Democrats, they have to be privately, like Sean says, they have to be panicked.
They're looking, look, it's a cumulative thing here.
Hillary has a book out.
She got 14 million.
Nobody bought it.
Nobody showed up at book signings except union guys that paid to show up.
And everybody's falling back on.
Well, look at the electoral map.
The Democrats get New York.
The Democrats get California.
The Democrats get Illinois.
Democrats get Michigan.
I mean, she doesn't need anything other than that D next to her name.
And that's what they're relying on.
That's how they could end up being caught up way short.
We'll be back.
I take a break.
We have an object lesson in the drive-by media today for you folks, and it plays off of the New York Times story on Ben Rhodes.
You remember this story?
Ben Rhodes, New York Times Sunday Profile magazine.
It actually came out last Thursday.
It appeared in the actual magazine on Sunday.
And it was a story about how the White House openly lied to the White House Press Corps about the Iranian nuke deal.
And Ben Rhodes was bragging.
The guy that wrote the piece, a guy named David Samuels, who has quite a left-wing literary pedigree, as it turns out.
Anyway, Rhodes is bragging about how he lied to the sycophant.
You know, the White House Press Corps loves at the doors, Obama.
They're slavish.
They're totally devoted.
And inside the Obama White House, they speak of the White House Press Corps in the most insulting, vulgar terms.
You know, it's interesting.
Obama resents the hell out of these people.
He almost has no respect for them because they're so easy.
They think, on the other hand, that Obama loves them because they're all fellow travelers.
They think Obama loves them because they promote Obama's agenda.
And Obama's sitting there calling them basically a bunch of media whores and laughing behind closed doors about how easy they are.
And that's one of the things that surfaced here coming up in my object lesson because it turns out that the drive-by media are livid over this New York Times, but they're not livid at Rhodes.
Rhodes, Ben Rhodes, the guy who lied to him, the guy who said the press corps, it's a bunch of 27-year-olds that don't know anything.
They're easy.
He lied to them about who they were negotiating.
We see, yeah, we found some moderates in Iran when they hadn't.
They're negotiating with the Ayatollah's.
The drive-bys are now mad, but not at Rhodes for lying to them.
They're mad at the guy that wrote the New York Times story for exposing how easy they are.
Wait till you hear the details.
Yeah, I just had to print something out.
I just got an email from a Trumpist who it's fascinating.
I know all these Trump supporters and they're fantasizing about what Trump is going to tell Paul Ryan when they have their big confab tomorrow.
And I just, I have to read one of these to you.
Here, I just printed it out.
This helps me to understand the average Trump supporter's mental attitude about all this.
And it helps me to extrapolate and then understand how Trump supporters are going to react to anything that involves Trump.
I mean, it's not a full-fledged barometer, but it offers quite a bit of a, even though it's anecdotal, even though this is anecdotal, I will wager that after I read this, a lot of you Trump supporters are going to be going, yeah, yeah, that's exactly what he ought to do.
Let's see if I'm right.
Hey, Rush starts the email.
Here's what Trump ought to say at his meeting with Paul Ryan.
Screw you.
You're the representative of one district in one state.
Let me tell you how things are going to work.
First, you are going to apologize to me, and you're going to say you don't know what you were thinking when you refused to endorse me when you were asked.
The next thing you're going to do, you're going to say you are fully behind me, and you will do everything humanly possible to see that I win, period.
Otherwise, I'm going to call you out for what you really are.
I'm going to endorse your primary opponent, and I'm going to actively campaign for him.
The next words out of your mouth better be, yes, I agree, or else.
Or else you're fired.
That is what an ardent Trump supporter sent me in an email saying that's what he's expecting Trump to say to Paul Ryan.
My friend is nuts.
I'm not saying he's not.
I'm just telling you, this is, you don't think that is representative of a whole lot of Trumpists?
You don't, you, you, that's, that's what they think Trump does.
That's what a lot of them think Trump does.
That's the art of the deal.
That's negotiation.
That is, that is where you lay out what you.
Let me read it again.
Let me just read the words without throwing in my own emphasis, okay?
Just an email from a friend of mine who I think, I could be wrong, but I think it's going to be close to being fairly representative to what Trump supporters, maybe it's a fantasy, maybe fantasizing what they hope Trump would do.
But here again, it is.
What Trump should say at his meeting with Ryan from a friend of mine, I send an email.
Remember, not my words here.
I'm reading an email from a Trump, ardent Trump supporter.
Guy who thinks if Trump doesn't win, we're finished.
There's no other alternative.
If Trump doesn't win, it's over as we've known it.
That's what this guy believes.
Hello, Congressman.
Screw you.
You're the representative of a small district in one state.
Let me tell you how things are going to work.
First, you're going to apologize.
Now, you're going to say you don't know what you were thinking when you couldn't bring yourself to endorse me last week when you were asked.
The next thing you're going to say is that you are fully behind me and you're going to do everything human possibly, humanly possible to see that I get elected, period.
Otherwise, I'm going to publicly call you out for what you are.
I'm going to endorse your opponent.
I'm going to actively campaign for him.
So the next words out of your mouth better be yes.
I agree, sir, or else.
And then Trump should leave the meeting.
Now, we know that's not going to happen because Trump's already out there saying, I love Ryan.
He's a great guy.
I want Ryan to remain chairman of the convention.
That bother you, by the way.
Didn't bother you?
You didn't want Trump to put his own guy in there?
You wouldn't like to see Katrina Pearson, chairman of the Republican National Convention.
Maybe offer to Heidi Klum, you know, as an olive branch of piece.
Hey, Heidi, how'd you come like to run the convention for me?
And they just toss it right back at Hillary's pack.
Okay, here is, I found a YouTube last night, and I just, I'm going to play this for you, and I'm curious to know how Trump supporters react to this, because this is going to be in an ad too.
This may be, end up, it may end up being an ad.
It may be chopped up and edited into an ad, but it's going to be an ad.
It's Trump from 2012.
This is just, what, four years ago?
He's on the Fox News channel on the record with Greta Van Sustrin.
2012, March.
She said, looking at the administration, how do you think the vice president has done Biden?
Being vice president, not a job very visible.
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
I'm curious.
What do you think about Biden?
What do you think of Hillary Clinton?
Hillary Clinton, I think, is a terrific woman.
I mean, I'm a little biased because I've known her for years.
I live in New York.
She lives in New York, and I've known her and her husband for years, and I really like them both a lot.
And I think she really works hard, and I think she, again, she's given an agenda that's not all of her, but I think she really works hard, and I think she does a good job, and I like her.
She says she's out at the end of this term.
You think we're going to see her again running for office?
I think so.
I think, you know, assuming she's healthy, which I hope she will be, I think she probably runs after the next four years, I would imagine.
You support her?
I don't want to get into this because I'll get myself into trouble.
But I just want to say that.
That's why I asked you to see if we get into trouble.
I just like her.
I like her and I like her husband.
Her husband made a speech on Monday at Mar-a-Lago and it was very well received.
And he's a really good guy, and she's a really good person and woman.
That's Donald Trump on Greta Van Sustran four years ago.
You know they're going to make that into an ad.
You know that the whole thing or portions of it are going to be made into an ad.
And, you know, Slick was down there at Mar-a-Lago and he was making a speech, and I guarantee you that's not all he was getting was payment for the speech at Mar-a-Lago.
He was having a great, great time there.
There's no question about it.
But I wonder when he got paid for his speech at Mar-a-Lago.
I don't know what the group.
What was Trump didn't pay him?
It was some, obviously, some group rented the place for an outing, and they had Slick come down and say some words.
But four years ago.
So what's your reaction there?
I'm looking, um, I, yeah, this is fake.
You know what?
You've been talking to Scotty Nell Hughes because that's exactly what Scotty Nell would say.
Okay, the official Trump reaction to this is: are you ready?
Will we finally now admit how brilliant Trump is?
Can we all now finally admit how he's been setting these people up for years?
He's been out there praising the Clintons.
He's been fooling them.
He's been making the Clintons think he loves them.
He supports them.
He's in their camp.
He's got them tamed.
They're not even thinking about Trump.
They're not even looking about Trump.
And Trump is just icing them.
Trump is going to come out of the blue one day and just squash these people.
What a brilliant, brilliant move to keep them off guard and set them up.
So that will be the official response to this.
Keep your enemies close and your friend.
Your friends close, your enemies closer.
Okay, that's an interesting spin.
Of course, Trump was going to.
He knew four years ago he's going to run.
He knew she's going to be running the opposition.
He knew he's setting them up.
This is brilliant.
This shows how far ahead of the game Trump is.
He's so far out in front of everybody, we can't even keep up.
What a brilliant bit of trickery here.
That's going to be what it is.
You're not at all concerned about this?
Nah, they're not, folks.
The Trumpists are not concerned.
Let me take a brief time.
We'll come back and start on the phones after this.
Don't go away.
This is great.
This is exactly what I was expecting.
Okay, here is, I checked the email during the break.
One defense of the sound bite of the Trump appearance in Greta, where he praises Hillary to the hilt.
One reaction is, you know, this should make a great ad debunking how Trump is attacking Hillary because she's a woman.
This can just get rid of all of these attacks that Trump's out there hitting her because she's a woman, that Trump hates her or whatever.
That soundbite, actually, Rush, when you put that soundbite, actually made me think Trump is more serious than I actually thought when he comments on Hillary.
Another emailer said, Hey, Rush, you know, I used to like George W. Bush.
So I can fully believe that Trump used to like Hillary.
Makes perfect sense he'd be mad at Hillary Biden after Benghazi.
You think Trump would have said that about Hillary after Benghazi rush?
He didn't, did he?
He didn't rush, did he?
So I knew it.
And I also know that the Never Trumpers are going to be livid because this is the kind of stuff the Never Trumpers think that they're going to be able to use and get rid of Trump.
And it isn't going to work because they don't understand even now the depth of the bond that exists.
I keep talking about this and they don't get it because you know what?
They don't have one.
All of these, I don't care, name the names.
From the Bill Crystals to the George Wills, they don't understand this bond that Trump has.
Well, they might understand it and they resent it or whatever, but I'm not sure that they grasp it from a standpoint of having personally experienced it.
So we'll see.
There's one other thing that the bite does not have that Trump also said to Greta Van Sustrin.
And I should have thrown this.
It's not going to make any difference, but I just want to be complete.
She asked Trump about Hillary's vote for the Iraq War, because Trump has been consistent.
He was always opposed to that.
And he's been critical of anybody who supported or voted for the Iraq war.
And Hillary did.
Greta Van Sustrin asked him about it.
And he said, well, you have to remember, Greta, she was lied to.
She was lied to by the Bush administration about that.
It's perfectly understandable why she would have.
If they'd lied to me about it, I might have supported too.
So you've got to remember, she was lied to.
He exonerated her four years ago on her vote for the Iraq war that he's now out ripping her to shreds on.
Today, if you listen to Trump, he's ripping her to shreds over her Iraq war vote.
But four years ago, he exonerated her because Bush lied to her about it.
Or Colin Powell, he didn't name whoever it was.
Lydia said the Bush administration lied to her about it.
Chris in Bermuda Dunes, California, near the Palm Springs.
It's great out there.
Great to have you on the program, Chris.
Hello.
Hey, Rush.
Thanks for taking my call.
Yeah, you bet.
Hey, before I get to my comment, I'd like to say hi to my mom and dad, Ed and Joanne.
They're 89 and 94, and they watch you on the ditto cam every single day.
Well, well, hello back.
Thank you for that.
Yes, absolutely.
Big fans.
And I get the newsletter when she's done reading it.
Well, you're all in, and I appreciate it.
I really do.
Yeah, you know, I don't know if I would be called a Trumpist.
I really like Ted Cruz, but I think the average person is so sick and tired of typical politicians.
I think we view this great country as being driven off a cliff by politicians.
And as bad as some of the things Trump says, I think the line should be: instead of never Trump, never another politician.
So we will take anybody besides another politician.
Well, there are a lot of people like you out there that politicians are the scourge.
And Trump's not one.
And in fact, that's often used as an excuse for Trump misstatement.
Well, you know, he's not a politician.
He's not politically correct.
And it's excuse.
Give me, you said some of the questionable things that Trump says.
Can you cite one for me?
What are you talking about?
What kind of.
Oh, the things that he said.
I mean, Lion Ted.
You know, whenever anybody tells me why not to vote for somebody else instead of why to vote for him, they lose me.
You know, I mean, he might have to work with Ted Cruz in the future.
And then that's out there.
The things he said about Carly Fearna, the bleeding out of who knows where.
And I mean, all the, I mean.
No, that was about Megan Kelly.
Carly Fi Arena was the horse face stuff.
Right, right.
But that's not presidential.
But even then, you know, I think when people look at Trump, they say two things.
He's made a paid role.
He's had to make a payroll.
He's been involved in competitive bid situations.
He understands what the rest of us in this world deal with.
So the average politician does not.
And secondly, who is ISIS more afraid of?
Trump or Hillary?
I think those two things right there, they will put up with anything but another politician because I think this great country is being driven off a cliff.
And we have to step in and do something about it.
Well, I appreciate the call, Chris.
Thanks very much.
And to your parents as well.
89 and 94 and daily Ditto Cam viewers.
I appreciate it.
Wayne in Little League Baseball, capital of the world, Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
Great to have you.
You're up next.
Hello.
Thank you, Rush.
I'll drive the point home from the last caller.
People out here are mad, and they want somebody that's going to go in there and do and say anything they have to to look out for the common man in this country because we have been just raked over the coals from top to bottom and side to side for so many years now.
It's just gotten to the boiling point.
Okay, but wait now.
Hang on.
I understand that, but it doesn't bother you at all that just four years ago, it sounded like Trump was all in for Hillary Clinton.
Doesn't that give you any pause at all?
Do you not ask yourself, is what he's telling us today, does he really think it?
Or you don't ask yourself that at all?
No, I do ask myself that question, but most people do not care because, like I say, they want something, someone that's going to go in there and say whatever it takes.
And it's like people come at Trump.
Okay, look, I hear you.
I really hear you.
But the Republican candidates, isn't this why they're in trouble?
During the campaign, they went out and they told everybody what they wanted to hear.
I mean, they loaded up for beer.
They were going to stop Obamacare.
And then they got there and didn't do diddly squat.
And now they're in the doghouse because they lied to you.
Yes.
And even with Cruz, Cruz could have got farther ahead if he would have been more like Trump.
And he would come out and call these politicians right out on the table and just call them rude, ugly names and just run them up one side and down the other.
He did.
On the floor of the Senate, he went after them.
Anyway, there's another.
I got to take a break, but news today, a related matter about Cruz in that regard.
I'll get to it in a minute.
When we come back, ladies and gentlemen, to dig deeper into this object lesson in the media, not that it's neat, although it will illustrate maybe how the same take and the same words out of 15 or 20 different reporters, how that happens.
