Welcome to today's edition of the Rush 24-7 podcast.
Greetings, my friends.
Welcome back.
We had a wrap up another busy broadcast week right here.
The Rush Limbaugh program and the EIB Network.
It's Friday, so without any further ado, live from the Southern Command in sunny South Florida.
It's open line Friday.
Yes, another barn burner is on tap today, folks.
Some earth-shattering unbelievable news.
No, no, sadly it's all becoming too believable.
Open line Friday is where I take one of the greatest career risks any major media figure has ever taken.
And that is turning over the content portion of the program when we go to the phones to non-professional broadcasters.
Rank amateurs, in fact.
But it's fun.
And as I've always said, uh program has a political identity, obviously, but we branch out and talk about many, many other things.
If you have a, you know, I'm just thinking, if you have a tech question, I mean, there's nobody better than me to run that question by.
I mean, in my circle of friends and in my family, I'm the tech go-to guy.
I'm the guy that knows it all, has all the answers operationally and not manufacturing and that kind of thing, but if you've got a tech problem bugging you, run it by me.
If you want to talk about the changing world of sports, and it's massively changing right before our very eye, primarily the way it is being paid for.
And of course, that's one of the most important aspects of it.
And uh, whatever else outside the political realm.
And of course, if you want to talk within the political realm, feel free.
The point is that whatever, you're not bound by whatever direction the program is going in today.
Again, the numbers 800-282-2882, the email address, illrushboat at EIBNED.com.
It was just yesterday.
And now it might be the day before.
I don't know.
The day is run together.
But remember we heard that Jimmy Carter had indeed not only banned immigration of Iranians back in 1979, but he required all Iranian students to show up and report to immigration and began deportation proceedings.
And I said, it happened.
Everybody knows it happened, and he did it publicly.
It was not some executive order written and released late on a Friday afternoon.
I said that drive-bys have to have in their archives video of Jimmy Carter doing this, talking about it, announcing it.
But they don't dare show it to us.
They don't dare because they have no desire to show that there's precedent for what Donald Trump has suggested.
Well, guess what?
I think that pressured them over at ABC because they have now on their website posted such video.
And we will get to it in mere moments.
Mrs. Clinton.
What is it?
Uh Love will save the day.
You know, I this is just hanging curveball after hanging curveball.
She said we got to do everything we can to weed out hate and plant love and violence.
Like leaving her ambassador and his staff unprotected and undefended in Benghazi.
Like lying to the family.
This is how you love and kindness people, right?
Lie to the families of those murdered in Benghazi about the attack.
You know, this is big, by the way.
She's now out there telling everybody she never told the families that the video was responsible for the attack in Benghazi.
She never told the families that they she were going to arrest the video maker.
And all four families are standing up and shouting she's lying.
All four families are proclaiming to anybody who will listen.
She did tell us Benghazi happened because of that video.
And she did tell us that they were on the verge of arresting the video maker.
And she promised that they would get this guy the maximum punishment.
And now she's out denying she ever said any of that.
Part of the love and kindness approach.
And we could say this about many other things.
Love and kindness, like the character assassination of innocent women sexually assaulted by her husband.
I mean, I could keep going here.
And I might later on, but I want to move on to other things.
Megan Kelly had a blockbuster exclusive last night on the Fox News Channel.
A former customs and border agent, Philip Haney, claims that the State Department and a Homeland Security Office for Civil Rights and Civil Liberties closed down an investigation he was conducting into fundamentalist Muslim named Taligi Jamaat.
Philip Haney says the investigation was shut down because the regime did not want to profile Islamic groups.
Well, who the hell are we profiling if we're not profiling Islamic groups at homeland security and at immigration for crying out loud?
Philip Haney says the feds also deleted his files, which included information on Taligi Jamat's ties to Farouk's mind.
This is a guy that had a connection with Saeed Farouk climate change.
And the regime ordered this guy to shut up, stand down, and destroyed his files.
And now he's on television telling anybody who will listen.
Philip Haney claims that if his investigation had been allowed to continue, Saeed Farouk climate change may have ended up on the no fly list.
And if he had ended up on the no fly list, he would not have met and connected with Tashmeen Falik or Malik.
And they would never have gotten married, and they wouldn't have become Bonnie and Clyde of Islam.
Audio soundbites.
Philip Haney, last night with Megan Kelly.
She said, Philip, why do you believe the work you were pursuing may have led to the detection of these two?
The network of individuals that we work with were tied to a large group called Tabli Hijamat, part of a larger group called Deobande.
We had thousands of organizations or individuals in the database, and we tracked them as they moved in and out of the United States on the visa waiver program.
Farouk Moss is called Daraloom.
It's a global network of similar kinds of mosques under the umbrella of this organization.
Look at how much we knew.
Look at how much the regime knew about Saeed Farouk climate change.
Megan Kelly says under your program you would have identified the mosque, and then what would you have done?
Individuals that were already in the case in 2012 went to that mosque.
Therefore, as we were tracking them, they would we would have put the red light on them.
Syed would have been put on the no-fly list because of association with that masjid and or the K-1 visa that his wife was given may have been denied because of his affiliation with a known organization.
And you say they shut you down because they felt this was essentially profiling of Muslims.
They specifically said that we got the internal memos, and it says that we are not allowed to develop a case based on Tabligi Jamat specifically, andor any Islamic group.
We are not allowed to develop a case on any Islamic group.
Ladies, this is why I made a big point yesterday, and it actually found its way onto television soundbites today.
I made a big point yesterday about the lack of moral authority in our government at the leadership level.
I mean, there's nobody.
Obama doesn't have any moral authority.
Obama can't condemn anybody or he can't praise anybody.
Obama's lost the moral authority to have credibility and believability.
And the problem in our country right now is that there's nobody in leadership in Washington, any party, nobody has any moral authority.
There's nobody that's uber respected.
There's nobody when they tell you something, you believe them.
There's nobody when they condemn something or approve something, you believe them.
And evidence like this Just exacerbates that.
What the hell are we supposed to be looking for if not Islamic groups?
So what does this mean?
I'll tell you what this means.
Terrorism, folks, is a national security issue.
Terrorism is a safety issue.
Terrorism against American citizens, domestic or international, stopping it, identifying it, protecting, defending, keeping safe, American citizens, is in the top two, three things that the Constitution requires leaders in this country to do.
National security ought not be political.
There ought not be one aspect of national security that's political.
And yet, this administration has politicized everything.
And in the process, they have corrupted it.
So now we have a whistleblower, customs and border agent working at the State Department and a Homeland Security Office for Civil Rights and Civil Liberties basically being shut down for obviously political reasons, and this is what gives rise to questions about Obama.
Why does Obama so insistent?
Why is he so insistent that we not discover what there is to be discovered about Muslims?
Why would the Obama administration demand that an investigation like this be shut down, evidence destroyed, and the man involved files deleted and told not to say a word about it.
Well, it's those kind of questions that give rise to all kinds of answers when there's no leadership and no moral authority, then people are free to fill in the blank.
And things like this don't make common sense.
We're in the midst and have been, arguably, since 1993.
But folks, you can go back to even prior to that, when there were terrorist hijackings of American airliners.
You can go back to the 80s and the terrorism against U.S. military and uh in the Middle East.
I mean, this is nothing new.
It's intensifying, and now the war has been brought to our shores.
1993 World Trade Center bombing, 2011 World Trade Center.
Fort Hood, the incidents are numerous and they are expanding.
They are increasing in number.
San Bernardino last week, and yet, no matter where we turn in our government, we are told to not see what we see, to not think what is obvious.
And anybody in government who does see what there is to be seen apparently is shut down and their data deleted.
It's being politicized.
Obviously, for some reason Obama doesn't want any of this known.
And I'll tell you what's happening.
People within the Obama administration are now breaking.
Obama is becoming isolated on this.
We had the Secretary of Defense on television yesterday saying ISIS is not contained.
We've had a former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff say ISIS is not contained.
Obama is saying in his Sunday night speech that even Democrats are now panning as embarrassing, that ISIS is contained, that there is no threat of anything happening domestically after a domestic event.
So even people in the Obama administration are running away from Obama on this, and yet he steadfastly maintains there's nothing to see here.
And that what you're seeing isn't what you think it is.
And what you think it is, only you think it because of your racism and bigotry and so forth and so on.
It's leading to all kinds of questions that people are asking.
The questions are legitimate based on Obama's proclamations and his actions and stories like this.
Questions are rooted around the curiosity of what is it that makes Obama so damn protective of Islamists, jihadists, Muslims.
What in the world is going on here?
Well, you start filling in the blanks and answering the questions yourself, and I guarantee you millions of Americans are.
And they're coming up with all kinds of answers.
And none of them are pretty.
But our president has created, there's a moral vacuum, folks, a moral vacuum at the highest levels of our government and leadership.
There is a moral vacuum.
There is a leadership vacuum, and there is a common sense vacuum.
There is so much that appears obvious that is not being acted on.
So much that is obvious and is happening, we are told isn't happening, but we can see it.
Some of our fellow citizens are being killed right before us, and we're told no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
You're racist if you think that.
You're bigoted if you no, no.
It's inexplicable.
And then over here, everybody wonders why somebody like Donald Trump continues the polling data today.
It's skyrocketing northward for Trump.
It's just expanded, and more evidence coming in that his comments on a temporary moratorium on Muslim immigration and refugee immigration.
He's up in practically every poll that has been taken since his comments.
And over here is the drive-by media and the Washington establishment, and they're befuddled and they're bemused and they don't understand it.
They expected this to be the end of Trump.
MSNBC did a phone poll.
Now, admittedly, it's an inner, it's an internet poll.
One of these things when you're watching NBC, you dial a number, you go to the web, you click on this, and they release their results.
96% of African Americans agree with Donald Trump.
This is what MSNBC reported in their graphic on screen.
Again, it's not a scientific C ABS Wall Street Journal, ABC type poll.
And it does, it obviously is of the MSNBC audience.
But there is nobody.
I mean, every it's African Americans 96, Caucasians 85.
I mean, it's not even close.
Vast majority of Americans at large and by demographic ethnic group agree with Trump in overwhelming majority numbers.
Seventy percent is the minimum.
Some of the headlines fear of terrorism lifts Donald Trump in New York Times CBS poll.
Poll, terrorism beats economy as top concern for first time in decade.
Poll, Trump unscathed in New Hampshire as Christie climbs.
Poll, Trump up 35% in CBS New York Times poll.
And now we've got a story that the GOP was overheard having a secret dinner conversation about a brokered convention.
They're now denying that that was anything more than just floating an idea, and it had nothing to do with Trump.
Then Carson said, Really?
You guys gonna do that?
You have a brokered convention?
That means you're going to ignore the will of the people in these primaries.
I guarantee you it won't only be Donald Trump leaving this party if you guys do this.
In the meantime, Senator Jeff Sessions, here we got the moral authority.
Jeff Sessions, Senator Alabama says that Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan are speeding through a funding bill to pay for more Syrian refugees.
Obama held a little powwow with some Syrian refugees and told them they are what's great about America.
I'm not making any of this up.
Soundbite number two.
This is April 7th, 1980.
April 7th, 1980.
I was working for the Kansas City Royals.
My second of five years there.
Twenty-nine years old.
This is ABC's World News Tonight.
Sam Donaldson reporting about Jimmy Carter cutting ties with Iran.
After meeting with his advisors for two and a half hours to review the decisions, Mr. Carter came down to the press room to announce them.
The militants controlling the embassy have stated they are willing to turn the hostages Over to the government of Iran.
But the government has refused to take custody of the American hostages.
This lays bare the full responsibility of the Ayatollah Homani and the Revolutionary Council.
The President ordered four steps immediately.
A complete break in diplomatic relations.
Iranian diplomats must leave the United States by tomorrow midnight.
Official sanctions prohibiting exports to Iran.
An inventory of frozen Iranian assets of over $8 billion, and a virtual shutting off of all Iranian immigration into this country by refusing new visas to Iranian citizens.
Moreover, the president warned these four steps may be just the beginning.
Other action may become necessary if these steps do not produce the prompt release of the hostages.
And what is this?
Everybody's saying that Trump's violating the Constitution, breaking the law, embarrassing us here.
Jimmy Carter, 1980.
I think we may have forced ABC to go to their archives and produce that.
They put it on their website.
Anyway, you heard it.
Back in a second.
And welcome back.
Open line Friday.
Rush Limbaugh.
By the way, Mr. Snerdley.
Yeah, he's busy screening calls.
He doesn't hear me.
And therefore he's not hearing the program right now.
So first couple of calls could be repeating what I'm going to say next, and we'll never know.
Happy holidays and Merry Christmas to everybody, folks.
Here we go.
Daily caller, yet another story that is similar to that from the whistleblower Philip Haney on Meghan Kelly last night.
This is from the Daily Caller.
The FBI has taken heat for failing to immediately classify the San Bernardino shootings as terrorism.
However, there's a new report out there that shows the FBI reluctance could have been due to external pressure from the White House.
Let's go back to that night, that afternoon, the San Bernardino Massacre.
Speaking for myself, when I got home, I turned on cable.
You know, I forgot what channel cable news channels are.
I had to I watch them so in front.
I don't have these autoprogram buttons.
So I said, wait a minute, what number is Fox?
It came back to me real quick, but so rarely do I have it on anymore.
Anyway, so I turned on and starting, I'm surfing around to the various networks.
And they're all.
I'm sure you saw the same thing.
They're all, well, you know, we've we've got a name.
We've been leaked a name, but uh it's a very, very delicate situation, and uh, we can't really announce the name.
Uh very volatile situation out here, very uh volatile situation around the world, what would just happen in Paris and so forth.
We've got a name.
We've got a very, very delicate situation here.
Very, very carefully.
We cannot jump the gun on.
I'm sure you understand, blah, blah.
And on it went like that from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
And meanwhile, we all knew the name.
If you knew where to go, look, the name was already leaked, it was out there, but the drive-by's wouldn't go anywhere near it.
And from the Daily Caller, we now know why.
The FBI took a lot of heat that night and the next day for failing to immediately classify the San Bernardino massacre as terrorism.
We all knew it was.
But remember, Islam is a religion of peace, and therefore this could not have been perpetrated by Muslims.
I mean, that's Barack Obama 101.
Islam's a religion of peace.
There is no terrorism in Islam.
These are people perverting it.
Well, the FBI reluctance, a new report says the FBI's reluctance to tell us what we all knew was because of external pressure from the White House.
A source told Jack Murphy of the SOFREP so frep that the FBI instantly believed the shooting, which left 14 dead to be a clear act of terrorism.
By the way, I can confirm this.
You know, I don't live as a hermit.
I'm not a recluse out there.
Well, meaning I'm in contact with people.
I know people, former FBI people, and I was in contact with them, email, chat, What have you?
We all knew, and people close to the investigation knew.
And I was told, I can't tell you how many times between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. that night that Rush, don't worry.
The FBI knows it's terrorism, and they're on this like white on rice.
They know this is a terror attack.
They know much more than they're reporting.
Don't worry about it.
Whatever you're seeing on TV is just what you're seeing on TV.
But they are already zeroed in on the fact that this is Islamic terror.
So that just added to the frustration.
I know this, I'm told this, and many people were told, and I shared it with some friends of mine back and forth, and they were watching television, and we can't say for sure, we're being very delicate here, very reluctant, and so forth.
Well, it turns out here that the source who told this is Jack Murphy, the White House didn't want this event to be reported as terrorism.
The White House didn't feel the same way as the reports the FBI was putting together and getting, and the White House quickly moved to quash the terror classification with the FBI.
The source added that as soon as the shooting took place, are you ready for this?
As soon as the shooting took place, Barack Obama convened a meeting with the National Security Council and the heads of other federal enforcement agencies to discuss a PR strategy.
Part of the reason for trying to avoid the designation of the shooting as terrorism is because it threatens to upset the regime's strategy in Syria.
A case of Islamic terrorism in the U.S. would put additional pressure on the regime to play a much more active role in the conflict in Syria because it's spreading.
It's spreading beyond Syria.
If it's come to the United States, Obama has to get involved.
He has to get in gear.
And he simply won't because he is cozied up to Iran.
Now we have mentioned this, we've repeated it from Waleed Farris and a couple of other sources that Obama strategically is tied with Iran when it comes to ISIS.
And Iran doesn't want anything happening to ISIS.
Iran is benefiting from the chaos, the sectarian violence between Sunni and Shiites.
Iran wants to control that region.
And for some reason, uh Obama has ties to him.
But the beyond that, folks, another example of how national security has been politicized.
And the White House, according to this report, was exerting pressure on FBI agents on the ground and the FBI command in Washington to not refer to this, to not classify this, to not go on TV and report it as terrorism.
Because it would have negative political impact and consequences for Obama.
National security has even been corrupted because politics that comes from liberalism is by nature corrupt.
Liberalism is corrupt.
Liberalism is a lie, it's a series of lies.
It does not rely on truth, in fact, can't coexist with the truth.
So Benghazi was the result of a video.
Couldn't have the truth of that out.
That's too close to the election in 2012.
And then we were also considering the 2016 election.
We couldn't have anything happen to Mrs. Clinton in 2012.
It would damage her chances.
The Democrat Party's chances 2016.
In this case, it's Obama's strategy in Syria that must be protected politically.
But it's even greater than that.
There can't be terrorism here because Obama just said on the Wednesday prior that there wasn't any reason to fear terrorism in America.
That ISIS remained contained and was the JV team.
Less than a week later, the San Bernardino massacre happens.
Well, it can't be terrorism.
That would expose Obama as incompetent.
That would expose Obama's not knowing what he's doing.
We can't have that.
He's the smartest man that's ever been in the White House.
We can't have any of this.
We can't let any of this expose Obama as a fraud or as an incompetent or worse.
National security, something as encompassing and crucial as that, has now been corrupted by the politics of Barack Hussein Oh and the Democrat Party.
So while the FBI on Obama's orders was looking like fools to everybody watching on TV by refusing to say what we all knew that the San Bernardino massacre was Islamic terrorism.
The whole world knew, and this is striking.
Obama believes that he can make it so just by thinking it.
He can make it so just by saying it.
And you can't blame him in a sense.
He's childlike in many ways.
He's been coddled as a special child and only child all of his life.
The media has treated him as a minigod.
So if Obama believes all he has to do is say something is or isn't, and that makes it is or isn't, the media has fed that.
The media's never challenged Obama.
The media's never questioned.
The media's never investigated.
The media's never exposed.
The media's done nothing but lapdog it up.
So after seven years, if you were Obama, you would think you could get away with anything you wanted to say.
That's not terrorism.
That's that's uh not gonna violate our values.
Our values?
That's another thing that just continues to grate on me.
These people speak of our values.
But butchering babies in planned parenthood, and we're supposed to listen to them talk about American values.
I'm sorry, folks, it just doesn't wash with me.
None of this does.
But with national security being compromised, and nobody able to apparently do anything about it.
That's why the presidential campaign has become what it is.
By the way, here is that screen grab from MSNBC.
That's their audience voting in this poll, whatever kind of poll it was.
Are you well, I did so where is it?
Here it is.
Question has Donald Trump gone too far with his plan to ban all Muslims?
Caucasians?
Yes, 69 or no, I'm sorry, Caucasians, no.
69%, yes, 31%.
Has Donald Trump gone too far with his plan to ban all Muslims?
Hispanic?
No.
87%, yes, 13%.
Has Donald Trump gone too far with his plan to ban all Muslims?
African American?
No.
96%.
Yes, 4%.
And there's a category called other.
And they are no, he has not gone too far.
88%.
12%, yes.
So we are at a crossroads.
We're a great nation at risk in a dangerous world.
And the people in charge of the national security of this country have been exposed as not only willing, but actually engaging in the politicization of national security in order to protect whatever political aspects of Obama need to be protected.
That's what we're up against now.
It's open line Friday on the EIB network, a Rush Limbaugh program.
And as I've mentioned, whatever people want to call and talk about or ask about, that's what open line Friday is.
It's what it means, open line.
See.
And we're going to start in Wendell, North Carolina.
Mark, welcome, sir.
Great to have you.
Hey, good to be here.
And Megadetto's been listening since 1990.
Well, thank you.
Thank you so much.
And uh I have a question about I import photographs from my iPhone 5C.
Yeah.
And I checked the delete photos after importing.
And somehow all my photos are getting deleted, are getting duplicated.
How many are we talking about?
I think it was 2,176 photos.
From where did you import them?
Your camera?
This would be from my iPhone 5 C. You imported from where to where?
From iPhone 5C to the cloud.
From the uh iCloud.
Okay, so your your duplicate photos are in iCloud now.
They're not on your iPhone.
That is correct.
Okay.
How do you access iCloud photos with a Mac or with your iPhone 5C?
With with a I import them to my Mac from my iPhone 5C.
I plug it into the Mac and it asks you if you want to import your photos, and I say yes, and delete the import the delete the photos after importing.
Now it's not it's deleting the old photos, but I think a few months ago it was not.
So now it's doing it it's deleting the old it's doing properly now, but I have a bunch of old photos.
You've got some of those duplicates in there.
All right.
Yeah.
Do they also show up as duplicates on your Mac in your photos appreciates or iPhoto?
i Photo.
Uh well number one, get the hell rid of that.
Yes.
I'm sorry.
iPhoto is yesterday.
Oh, there's what there's an there's a new photos app uh on Mac that duplicates the photos app on your iPhone 5 C. It's called Photos.
And it uh is is uh takes up much much less uses much less data.
It's much smoother, it's just a much more streamlined app, and you can do just as much with it that you would want to do as you could do with iPhoto.
What you need to do for duplicates in iPhoto, you can you can either there's a uh I haven't used iPhoto in a long time, but if you look at the menu bar or in the preferences of iPhoto, you might find a remove duplicates option that will do it all if you c if that doesn't show up for you in your iPhoto.
It does not.
I have checked that.
You've checked every you've checked every drop-down menu in the menu bar and you've gone to preferences.
I'll check it again.
Do that again.
There's an there are apps that you can buy that will do this automatically for you as well in the app store.
If you just search for duplicate photo, remove duplicate photo.
There's all kinds of apps that'll do this for you so that you don't have to do it manually one at a time or I mean you could you could you can theoretically you can select every Snerdley gave me this call first on purpose.
Don tells me people swear it already.
Just select all of the duplicates if you want and just delete them.
Uh but there are multiple times.
You mean there's more than one duplicate of each picture?
Yes, sir.
It's not just one.
Each time I imported it, it brought in my whole library.
Okay.
Uh let me just say the you know what you need to do from going forward.
You need to start using the iCloud photo library, and all your photos are kept in the cloud with thumbnails on your phones and on your computer, so don't take a lot of storage.
And it's much easier to manage all of these problems that way.
But look for a look for an app that that does away with duplicates.
They're all over the place out there.
Uh that that are compatible with uh with map.
I'm sorry, I've never done it.
I I'm I've never had the specific problem, so I don't know the name of the apps.
I just know they're there.
I know people have had this problem, and I know there's ways to deal with this that are not complicated at all.
Appreciate it, Mark.
See, see, open line Friday.
Yeah.
Um but you should heard Dawn's yelling me at during the call.
You realize how many people are yelling at their radios.
They don't care about this.
I'm getting all kinds of feedback right in the middle of the call.
People don't want to hear this.
What do you think you're doing?
Well, I'm trying to help the guy.
I've invited these kinds of questions.
I'm trying to help the guy.
I got people telling me this is a waste of time.
Do you realize how mad people it's open line Friday?
That's what this is for.
The duplicate photo um problem is uh it's a it's an anomaly in the import process, and he mentioned it.
There's an option, do you want to keep the the photos on your camera or your phone, or do you want to delete them?
And that's that's the when you say you want to keep them, that's that's where the root of the problem is.
But getting rid of dupes is easy.
You just have to find the uh the right app.
Anyway, uh Mark, I I appreciate the call.
I do.
We gotta take a brief time out here.
It's open line Friday rolls right on, folks.
Do not panic.
Do not fascinating as I go through the stack of stuff here today.
More and more people throughout the media spectrum are writing about the magic of Donald Trump and the media.
They're writing about how Trump owns the media.
It's why I say this program is show prep for the rest of the media.
Rick Perry was on Fox this morning.
Bill Hemer played a clip of me from this program yesterday and asking for Rick Perry to uh respond to it.
I don't it it wasn't quite uh clear, I think, to Governor Perry.
But that's not the point.
The point is to replay the soundbite because it's a really crucial factor where we are right now.
