You see where Fidel Castro says that the United States owes Cuba millions of dollars.
Did you see that?
Now, before you start laughing, do you understand?
There could be a lot of Americans who agree with him.
I wouldn't, I wouldn't doubt that Barack Obama is one of them.
And a quick quiz, a pop quiz.
Who?
Who established the embargo on Cuba?
Wrong.
JFK did not originate the embargo on Cuba.
Ike.
Ike did.
The Cubans, when they announced they were going communist, they announced a sidling up, or it looked like they were.
The Cubans nationalized $7 billion worth of American-owned property, the revolution, a caster revolution, and Ike slapped an embargo.
What Kennedy did was expand it and codify it and extend it ad infinitum.
A lot of people don't know that Eisenhower was one of the, well, they don't remember that Eisenhower was one of the original participants in the Cuban embargo.
Wasn't nearly as sweeping as JFK's, which is why JFK is uh is remembered for it.
Uh let's see.
You know what they're gonna do in LA?
I'm gonna get some stuff here, folks, before we get back to the Hillary mess, because I'd I haven't really even gotten serious.
Well, I've got serious, but there's still a lot of Hillary stuff here.
Los Angeles.
You know, yesterday I was talking about how much I love California, and it's it's just a no matter where in that state I've been, I love it.
And I've been everywhere in that state.
Uh Humboldt County fighting Earth First.
Boy, did I see things?
And then I've I've been in Sacramento for four years, practically my adopted hometown, Napa, Bay Area, San Francisco, even went to Oakland.
Uh, a couple of baseball games, Kans City Royals were in town.
Uh I've been everywhere in that state of note except Yosemite.
Haven't Yosemite National Park guy.
You gotta walk.
Uh but I've been Pebble Beach, Monterey, California, Los Angeles, San Diego, Santa Barbara, Montecito, Santa Maria, Bakersfield, all of that.
It's just beautiful everywhere I've been.
But it's so screwed up.
Politically, it is such an absolute mess.
And it just gets worse every day.
They've got this lunatic for a governor out there, and the Democrats run California politically.
And they, you know, every kook fringe idea on the left is mainstream there.
Is probably the best way to describe it.
And you've got a governor and the the whole of the Democrat Party out there, who, for whatever reason, either they're ideological purists or they are corrupt business people or corrupt donors to the Democrat Party, which means they're gonna get some money back.
They're all in on climate change.
And they have succeeded in convincing the general population in that state that climate change is a genuinely real meteorological calamity waiting to happen.
And it isn't.
By the way, have you heard, you've heard Obama and others say that so far 2015 the hottest year on record?
Well, NASA just relieved temperature data yesterday.
It's not even close.
In fact, through July 2015 is cooler than previous years.
And so was 2014.
They're just lying to everybody.
And even at that, it was it was uh discovered yesterday.
Obama's plan, his latest global warming plan, which is an attack on the coal industry and these massive reductions in the output of carbon to reduce greenhouse gases.
As I mentioned yesterday, if they are all implemented, the temperature reduction by the year 2001 hundred is less than one degree Celsius.
And by the year 2200, less than one half a degree Celsius.
They're gonna wreck an economy for that.
They are going to wreck an economy.
The problem with wrecking the economy is that some of their donors are going to get filthy rich in the process by getting federal money to build up some of these totally phony, useless green energy programs, such as the one that I spent a lot of time on yesterday.
They'd made an alternative fuel out of algae that they sold to the military for $149 a gallon.
And of course, the military bought it because the military is Obama, and Obama approves it's as it's his DOD, Department of Defense, his procurement.
And it was a company that had donated big money to Obama.
So they come up and they create this alternative fuel out of algae.
149 bucks a gallon.
This somehow is revolutionary, technologically advanced, going to save the climate, save the planet.
It's not going to do any of that.
It's absolutely absurd and ridiculous.
All it's doing is enriching an Obama donor.
It's a way for people to get their hands on the Federal Treasury, or I better stay to get their hands in the Federal Treasury.
Just like Obama's stimulus was that.
You know, Obama wanted additional dollars for the Democrat Party.
Okay.
He can't just go to the Treasury and write a check to the Democrat National Committee.
So what he does, he makes this big pitch for a stimulus to get the economy going and gets about $800 billion approved for it because he's new and the Republicans don't want to oppose him.
And they pitch this thing as jump starting an economy.
They get the money, and the money goes to Democrat donors and union members who pay dues.
The union members were able to keep their jobs during this reception, recession.
They didn't get fired.
The union dues come back to the Democrat Party in a circuitous way of cleaning the money.
That's how Treasury money ends up back in the hands of the Democrats.
In global warming or climate change, the industry is the same way.
You have this outfit making alternative fuel out of algae.
So they create this revolutionary system.
They get a government grant to fund research and development.
Then they get another government loan to build it.
Then they produce the product and they sell it back to the government at $149 a gallon to the U.S. military.
Nothing has happened at all to reduce climate, carbon, any of that, but a bunch of Democrat donors to Obama have ended up with a whole bunch of United States Treasury money.
And that's what climate change is.
It's become a one and a half trillion dollar industry.
And Governor Brown in California is a total devotee to this.
He's a devotee to it in terms of the ideology.
I mean, he's one of these guys that actually believes that the world is going to be flooded by melting North Pole ice in a couple of years if we don't do something drastic.
And half the people in California believe this.
They end up going along with nonsense that is wrecking the state's economy.
And it's such a beautiful place.
And this is just classic.
To set this up, how many of you get so frustrated driving around the streets in your car?
Streets are made for your car.
How many of you have gotten to the point you've had it with bicycle bicyclists?
I'd done be raising my hand.
I have had it with them.
They own the streets.
They don't observe stop lights.
They gum up the works.
Where I live, we have packs of hundreds of them out for the supposed morning exercise ride.
You get behind a pack of a hundred of them, and you're stuck.
Over the decades, Los Angeles is bulldozed homes, paved through tranquil canyons, toppled countless trees, and even flattened some hillsides, all in the name of keeping automobile traffic flowing as fast as possible.
On Tuesday, Los Angeles city leaders decided to slow things down.
They endorsed a sweeping policy that would rework some of the city's mightiest boulevards, adding more lanes for buses and bicycles, leaving fewer lanes for cars.
The goal.
Oh, yes, the goal is to improve safety for cyclists and pedestrians while luring more people out of their cars.
In other words, in LA, they are going to enact policies to make it much more problematic to drive by eliminating automobile lanes and replacing with bicycle lanes and pedestrian lanes.
And they expect the sheeple to behave accordingly and leave their cars at home and start riding whatever myth of mass transit there is, or start bicycling.
The plan represents a major depart departure in a transportation policy for a city so closely identified with cars, and reflects the view of many planners that the old way of building more road space to address traffic is no longer a viable option.
It's called Mobility Plan 2035, and it spells out hundreds of miles of new bicycle lanes, bus only lanes, and other road redesigns.
It seeks to cut the fatality rate from traffic collisions to zero within 20 years.
Now that's realistic, right?
Zero traffic collisions.
You want to bet what's going to happen here?
My anger at these people is mild compared to some.
You start gumming up the highways even more and you're going to increase road rage.
I predict to you that road rage is going to skyrocket if they actually implement this.
Because Pete the plan here is to make you so mad that you ditch your car and live your life the way that idiot moonbeam governor wants you to.
This is how liberals use policy to get what they want where they want when no one else wants to go there when no one else wants to participate.
This is exactly how they govern against the will of the people.
You don't know how to live your life correctly.
You don't know how to behave properly.
You don't know how to conserve.
You don't know how to save energy.
You don't know anything.
You've got to be forced into it.
And of course, bicyclists, why they are not polluting anything.
Bicyclists are gifts of God, gifts of love.
Why they're using their own energy, they're getting in shape, they're not being obese, and they're not polluting anything, and they're riding around and it's much safer, and everybody should be doing it.
They are protected citizens.
And of course, buses using nitrogen power and so forth, but you people in your cars, you are the scourge.
And I just wonder how much of it's going to be tolerated out there.
I would have thought they'd their breaking point long before now.
But this is it's nuts.
It's absolutely nuts.
But this is how they do it.
Stuff that would never pass a popular vote, gets passed by a supposedly representative city schmansel, and then they implement this stuff.
Somebody tell me, what is what is the value of public policy designed to anger people?
Which is exactly what this is.
Maybe you could say that that's liberalism in a nutshell of all the many things it is.
It's also policy designed to anger people.
By the way, back to Hillary for a minute.
She checked out this book.
She asked for this book on how to stay out of jail using email back in 2009.
What was she doing in 2008 that she needed this book for?
She hadn't yet become Secretary St. She's running for president in 2008.
She had this she requested this book in 2009.
So what was she doing before that?
That she needed to learn about email and how to really delete it and how to keep it secure and how to stay out of jail using it.
What was she doing?
Back to the phone screen, who's next?
Who is it?
Uh Todd, Springfield, Illinois.
Hey, great to have you on the program.
Hello, sir.
Extremely nervous, 24-7 Ditto, sir.
Thank you very much.
I appreciate that.
Don't be nervous, but there's no reason to be nervous.
I've listened to you for 20 years, sir.
I I'm deeply honored.
So I have felt since February that uh there's no possible way Hillary can make it to an election.
Um but yet she continues fundraising, not answering questions.
Um we on the right, we have put all our effort towards her.
Our attacks have been on her.
Um not really attacks, but our focus has been on her.
Um this is kind of an October surprise I see.
And I kind of see the media have to be involved with it because they push back the uh Democratic um.
Um sorry, I'm some someone towards I'm so nervous.
Um Democratic um, they talk to each other, sorry to Russ, I'm really nervous.
Um, but she blames she comes out in October or sooner.
She blames the misogynistic mentality and a vast right-wing conspiracy.
She drops out of the election, saying that it's you know, she's got to take care of this personal stuff.
Um she gains pity and she backs Joe Biden.
And she does I just kind of want to get your opinion on that.
Well, now here's here's the thing about that.
Uh that would not qualify as an October surprise.
An October surprise has to happen within weeks of the election.
Or it's not a surprise.
Now, if this October, Hillary figures all is lost, and she's gonna get out of this thing.
And she's gonna make a statement saying so, and then blame it on the racism and sexism and bigotry and misogyny of the Republican Party, and then endorse Biden.
I don't think that would I don't I don't think it would qualify as a surprise.
I don't think it would it it it's it's not something that would occur within a time frame that would cause panic on the Republican side because there'd still be a year to uh to deal with it.
As far as the practical reality of of something like that, Hillary deciding she's out of it, can't go any further and deciding to blame it on the Republicans.
I guess I mean she could do that.
Um that would be whining.
I mean, she'd be full-fledged whiner and moaner and so forth.
But I don't see her recommending anybody else.
I don't see her endorsing anybody else, particularly Biden, because if she is forced out of this in October or whenever, it's gonna be because of people like Biden and Obama and the Democrat regime that have done this drip drip drop drop, or maybe even full-fledged investigation of whatever she was doing with her server and emails.
So I don't if she's indicted, will she have to drive out?
I I don't, I don't.
I can't see her being indicted.
I I don't I don't see it going that far.
I mean, people joke about Hillary being in jail.
That's a dream.
Ain't gonna happen.
Indicted, people like her don't get indicted.
You know, they quit and go away first.
The political class, no matter what happened, they do not put each other in jail.
They just don't do that.
They didn't even put Nixon in jail.
They didn't even put Spiro Agnew in jail.
Well, wait a minute, but later.
They just don't do it.
And not with Bill roaming around out there still, uh, who could if Bill Clinton wanted to sabotage the Democrat Party in 2016 because of what they do to his wife, because remember what they do to his wife are doing to him.
If they take her out, he's out too.
Whatever it is he wants out of this is gone if she goes.
So they can't count on Bill Clinton being a loyal campaigner for whoever it is.
I don't, I don't, I don't see that.
I can't see her backing out.
I can't see her backing it.
She would do anything to be president.
Folks, I'm telling you, this is not just a theory, this business that the Democrat Party owes her.
It's it's not just an explanatory theory that they owe her for hanging in there and ensuring that Bill remained in the White House, and all those indiscretions of his that she stayed married to him and didn't bail.
It's she thinks that.
She is owed this.
She wants this so bad.
I shudder to think what she would do to get this.
Look, what do we know here?
The question is, would Hillary get out because the Republicans mistreat her and the question is, what's Hillary gonna do to the people she thinks are trying to force her out.
You don't think Hillary's got some ammo here?
Why do you I think one of the reasons that server has been wiped is because there's stuff about Obama on it.
I don't think we're ever gonna find out.
There's stuff about Benghazi.
I think one of the reasons why the Republicans are not that eager to get their hands on it is because they have been, it would have been shown that they knew what was going on in Meghazi long before everybody else did.
Everybody in this thing is gonna try to hide what's on that server, I think.
So I got a note, an email during the break.
Don't you realize when you go off on bicyclists and all that that the millennials are gonna get mad at you?
Yeah, I know.
I'm sorry, I can't help it.
Don't you know if you're trying to expand your audience to the youth and to the millennials, don't you think that you ought to be a little bit more sympathetic to the things they think are important?
Uh well, if I believed them, yeah.
But I don't pander.
I have never pandered.
I can't pander.
I don't know how to do it.
Not without everybody knowing that's what I'm doing.
I don't know how to sincerely fake pandering.
And so I don't even I don't even try.
Um, I'm one of these, I'm the mayor of Realville.
I I believe in profound literalness.
I I watch a TV show.
Let me see if I can reconstruct this to explain why there's there's this this is something I could never do that, by the way, I think successful politicians have to be able to do it.
I could never do it.
I watch TV show on Sunday nights, I think it's on TNT or TBS or what it's uh the last ship.
Eric Dane stars as the captain of a Navy ship.
The world has this virus that's wiped out practically everybody.
The ship has a brainy doctor, obviously a looker that's found the cure.
And they're running around and and the country's gone, there is no president anymore.
It's just everything's devastated.
Our buddy Adam Baldwin is uh the exo executive officer on this on this show.
I've got to really be brief here.
In in two episodes ago, there's a group called the uh the immunes.
These are people that are naturally immune to the virus.
They never got it, and they are headed up by a renegade Brit who's a criminal who's trying to take over the world and get rid, trying to wipe out, trying to kill all the people susceptible to the virus.
So the only people left are the immunes.
So they don't even need a cure.
I'm I'm really shortening this up.
If you know what I'm talking about, and if I leave things out, don't get mad, it's not the point.
The immune in their effort to persuade everybody that they're genuine and that they're good people, they're a bunch of phonies, folks.
The immunes and the leaders are a bunch of criminals.
They're a bunch of thugs, but they're trying to convince the survivors that they have their best interests at heart.
They're trying to convince their survivors that they only want the best for everybody, and they're trying to save everybody, and they're trying to put everything back together, and they're trying to recreate the great civilization that used to exist before the virus.
When instead they're a bunch of power-hungry communist Marxist thug pigs.
And one of the people that they have discovered who is an immune used to be the leader of the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
They make him, they capture this guy, they make him president, and they convince him that they are up to good.
They convince these the only remaining member of the U.S. Cabinet.
They convince him that they are altruistic.
They convince him that they just want everybody to have the best.
I mean, if I had to say these people are the Clintons, and the Democrat Party of 1993, 94, except they don't look the part.
I mean, they they look like the thugs and the and the and the reprobates that they are.
But they've got a way of talking.
They master the way of talking and makes all they just they find all these gullu people and they just low information people just suck this stuff up and they've everybody's invested in the immunes and this thug leader, including the ex-HUD director.
Well, back to the naval captain.
The naval captain knows this is all BS.
They make a move, they capture the president.
They have evidence to show this president.
The immune has made the guy president, the former head guy, they've made him president because they know the American people will only lead or follow an American, not a bunch of Brits.
So they've convinced this surviving administration member.
No party affiliations mentioned, and not Republican or Democrat, they don't go there.
He's just the only surviving cabinet member, such next in line.
The White House is gone, it doesn't exist.
Well, it's there, but it's in ruins.
And he's it.
And the immune convince this guy that they're up to nothing but good, and that he can lead them in saving humanity.
And so this guy falls for it, hook, line and sinker, and gets all caught up in the fact that he's now the president, not just of the U.S., but of the world.
Well, our naval captain and his exo and everybody realize the scam being perpetrated here.
And they lead a mission, they capture this guy, get him away from the immunes, they bring him back to the ship, and they try to tell him the truth.
They've got evidence, they've got video, they've got documents, everything to prove that these immunes are thugs and he doesn't believe it.
And so the captain is at his wit's end.
He doesn't know what to do.
The guy is the president.
He wants him to be the president.
He wants to convince him that the sh the immunes have told everybody that if you see a Navy ship coming, ignore them.
They are spreading the virus.
Just like the Republicans want to starve your kids with school lunch kid cuts, the Navy and this ship, they have the virus and they're spreading it.
When in fact the immune are the ones doing it.
The immunes are trying to kill everybody that's not immune.
They're accusing a Navy of it, and this president guy has bought it, hook, line, and sinker.
Eric Dane and the boys, Adam Baldwin, they have the proof to show this new president that he's sidled up with a bunch of thug criminals.
And the facts do not move him.
The facts do not persuade him.
He resists.
Because he's got an emotional tie to it.
It turns out that there's a backstory involving the death of his son that he thinks that he is seeking redemption for by following the immune.
So anyway, the third in command on the ship, a black guy brings the Navy captain to the ship and says, sir, you're going to attack his narrative in a different way.
The facts are not going to matter.
He has his own story, and in his heart, his story is true.
You are going to have to give him a different narrative.
In other words, sir, you're going to have to figure out a way to pander to this guy to get him to understand you're on his side before you tell him how he has been played For a fool.
And the whole episode is devoted to how that's done.
And as I was watching it, I said, I could never do that.
Somebody rejects the facts.
I'm ticked off.
I'm out of there.
Screw it.
Idiots haven't time for them.
So I couldn't pander.
I don't you think, Rush, that you're making a mistake by being so anti-bicycle, and that's what the millennials really.
No, I mean, I what am I supposed to do?
Come here and say, gosh, you know, I really love this idea in LA.
Have you seen this, folks?
The LA City Council, man, I wish we lived among brilliance like that in Florida.
You know what they're going to do?
They're going to actually get rid of the automobile lanes.
They're going to reduce them.
Man, that's so cool.
We've got to get rid of these cars.
They're belching nothing but pollution, destroying the planet.
And we're going to expand the bicycle lanes.
Man, do I love that?
Oh, folks, is that some of the smartest stuff.
I can't do that.
Or a variation of it.
I can't do it.
I can't even imagine how I would do it.
How would I tell somebody I believe something I don't believe it just to persuade them?
But that's the people who can do that, they're better than I, because the art of persuasion is multifaceted.
But I just, when I'm when I'm staring insanity in the face, I don't have any patience with it.
If it's clinical insanity, I do.
If it's organic insanity born of ignorance, I don't have much patience with it.
So trying to create a narrative that would convey to the millennials that what they're doing in LA is ridiculous and maybe even dangerous while saying I support the whole thing, I just don't know how to do it.
I would have to really study it, figure out a plan, and then put the plan up and execute it and try to remember it.
To me, it would all be phony.
But see, this is what Bill Clinton does.
I'm convinced, naturally.
No sincerity, whatever he says he believes, whether he does or not.
People, J.R. Ewing.
So once you get past, once you get past integrity, you own them.
Or whatever the frame was, phrase was.
Once you figure out that integrity doesn't matter, you can do whatever you want to do.
Or whatever the phrase was that J.R. Ewing uttered.
But this third in command said, sir, you're going to have to give him a different narrative.
And by the way, what this third in command said was brilliant.
It was and the captain bought it, and the captain employed the third in command strategy.
And it worked.
They got the guy away from the immune, supposedly.
It's a TV show.
He could still be sandbagging it, but as far as the viewers are concerned now, the president's on the side of good.
He's been wrested away from the immune.
He now knows the immunes are a bunch of thug creeps.
It was brilliantly written episode.
It really was.
And it it but it was uh.
It made me mad.
I can't help it.
It made me mad after go through all that insincere phoniness to get to where you wanted to get rebbin just straight at it.
By the way, I was just reminded why Hillary cannot get out of the Democratic race for the nomination, nor can she.
She can't leave the press.
She's she's already collected money in exchange for policy considerations.
No, no, no, no.
This is an excellent point.
We all know Hillary Clinton and Bill have sought donations from foreign governments, foreign multinational corporations, and they have donated significant, like paying them 200 grand, 500 grand for a speech, three and five million dollar donations, one outfit, wasn't this the outfit in Canada seeking uh something in Ukraine?
A hundred million dollars was involved.
Too many people have purchased policy from president in waiving Hillary Clinton.
She cannot get out.
They didn't give her that money because she's beautiful.
They didn't give her that money because they want to spend the night with her at dinner.
They didn't give her that money because they're great friends.
They gave her that money because she's going to pay it back once she gets to the Oval Office.
And if she gets out of the race, she doesn't go to the Oval Office.
You know, Clintons do not return money.
So all of these sultans and sheikhs and counts and princes and whoever else are not just going to say, well, guess our investment didn't pay off.
They're going to want the money back.
And the Clintons don't give the money back.
So she's got to stay in this thing.
And she's got to win.
She's already accepting payment, folks.
In return for policy.
They are selling and have been selling Hillary's presidency on the cum for at least a couple of years here.
Do not doubt me.
And do not discount that.
That's another reason why there's no way Bernie Sanders is going to be this party's nominee.
Because he will not do that.
He will not get in bed with the people this party is in bed with.
Biggest myth in the world is that the Republicans are in bed with giant corporations of Wall Street.
Hell.
Giant corporations of Wall Street pay for the Democrat Party.
Underwrite the Democrat Party.
One of the biggest scams and feints of direction in modern politics.
No, no, Apple didn't release any new betas today, damn it.
I was thinking this is it.
No new betas today, there might not be any more.
So it's no no iOS 9 beta, no, no L Capitan beta.
And I doubt there's gonna be wrong.
But they did release 8.4.1 and uh 10.10.5.
So there's a new update for the iPhone and a new update for the computer, but not betas.
And what else?
What else?
Uh oh, open line Friday tomorrow, folks.
Already we have reached the end of another busy broadcast week, so we'll look forward to that.
