Time Text
That's right, they didn't.
You'll hear it coming up.
Anyway.
We're just rolling right on here, folks.
Uh Rush Limbaugh, Limbaugh Institute for Advanced Conservative Studies at 800 282 2882 and the email address L Rushbow at EIB net.com.
Look, there's a lot of factors going.
No, no, let me do this first.
Let me just do this first.
Because Snerdley just said to me, I can't believe it.
I'm watching CNN.
They got this big debate tonight, and they're still talking about the Malaysian Airlines crash.
Yeah.
They're not covering the debate.
And I mentioned earlier, you were screening calls, you didn't hear it.
You know, you'd be amazed at it.
You miss.
You're one of the biggest fans of the program.
You're one of my most loyal staff members.
There may be nobody loyaler except Kathleen.
And you, and despite that, you miss 80% of what goes on here because you're busy screening calls.
Which is understandable.
I already pointed out CNN is not even talking about this debate tonight.
They usually would have a countdown clock that would have started yesterday.
But they don't have a countdown clock because they're not doing the debate.
And even though they are drive-by media, if it's not happening on CNN, it may as well not be happening.
They're certainly not going to promote Fox.
If they start promoting this debate, they're going to be promoting Fox.
They'll be all over it tonight after it's over and tomorrow.
But anyway, they just had a guest on.
They were they did talk about this a little today.
There was uh Wolf Blitzer filling in for uh Brianna Keeler this afternoon and Jeff Lord, who uh a brilliant writer for the American Spectator and Brent Bozell's bunch at uh at Newsbusters was on as a he's I guess he's appearing more and more frequently as as a Republican strategist or analyst, conservative, whatever at CNN.
And I think they look at Jeff as kind of like a cute zoo animal.
They don't quite know what it is, but they'd like to take it home if they could.
It's cute, it's cuddly, it says some really cute, funny things, but they're not familiar with at all.
And I think they're just intrigued.
And all he is, he's just a great conservative.
But CNN really they don't know what what it is.
So they were talking about the uh the debate with Jeff Lord, Brianna Keeler.
Okay, so how do the rest of the candidates approach Trump?
Do they just pretend that he's not there?
How do they get their message out?
There is a story out there in an outlet called the DC Whispers, which Rush Limbaugh was mentioning earlier today, which I find very interesting, that donors, unnamed Republican donors, have been telling these candidates that they need to get on this stage tonight and quote unquote take out Donald Trump.
I would be amazed if they did that.
I mean, they figured Senator Rubio is one of the recipients of this advice.
Apparently there are others and the consultants that swarm around them.
But that will be very interesting to see if anybody, you know, sort of wants to deviate from, you know, this is who I am and this is my record, and go down that path.
Then I think they might be, you know, opening the barn door a bit in the way they don't want to do it.
The point is, CNN had no idea.
They had no idea that Republican donors had put a hit piece out on or a hit on Trump.
They didn't know it.
And and Jeff was the first one to tell them, and they thought, wow, this is fascinating.
They had no idea.
Which I just it's just hilarious.
And then they went from that back to the Malaysian jet.
Okay, Jeff, thanks very much.
It's really interesting.
You know, back in the control room, who is this guy?
DC Whispers?
Come on, who is this guy?
Maybe be fun to take home and have it a party, but what really are we doing here?
Is no doubt what they're saying.
Uh I don't know how often Jeff's going to appear there, but I guarantee you, if they if they have him in there regularly, he's gonna have it's possible.
It's possible he could have some impact at CNN because he's gonna tell them things they don't know.
Because the thing about liberals, they do not branch out.
Like myself and every other conservative talk show host that's worth the saw, can tell you everything about liberalism.
We study it, we watch it, we read It and we explain it better than they do.
We understand and know the full range of the ideological spectrum, which makes the fact that we are conservatives even more authoritative and solid because it is the result of study, not just chance or DNA or bias or prejudice.
We know what liberalism is, and we want no part of it.
They have no idea what conservatism is.
They have constructed this, this straw man of conservatism, which is odd, screwball racist, bigoted, sexist, homophobic, and so forth.
And of course, Jeff Lord, to give an example, is none of that.
So he breaks the mold in a way they don't know what to do with at CNN.
They're probably scurrying around there trying to find this story about Republican donors putting a hit piece out on Trump because they would love to be reporting that.
That might edge out the Malaysian airliner story on CNN if they could get their hooks into it.
Now, back uh ladies and gentlemen to this, I gave you a little tease here before the conclusion of the previous hour.
Story I have here is from the Federalist, but there are a number of them out there now.
This one is by Molly Hemingway.
UGO claims a recent poll shows that after video releases, opinion of Planned Parenthood, little changed.
Now, but buried at the end of the press release is the real story here.
The vast majority of Americans, 70%, have heard little to nothing about these videos showing the involvement of planned parenthood in the harvesting and trafficking of human fetal organs.
And that doesn't even describe what they're doing.
Planned parenthood is chopping up intact born baby parts and selling them.
And nobody outside of the conservative media knows it.
70% of the American people say they don't know anything about it.
And it's such Planned Parenthood's approval numbers are only down 5%, which is barely margin of error territory.
So the accurate thing to say is that after five videos that have been released and accompanying stories over the past month, public opinion on Planned Parenthood is unchanged.
Because the drive-by media has not reported it.
70% of the Americans, but the Kardashians haven't talked about it.
Harvey Levin at TMZ hasn't talked about it.
The e-entertainment network hasn't talked about it.
In addition to ABC, NBC, CBS, and CNN.
They're just avoiding it.
Understandably, they don't want to deal with it.
There's no way they can defend it.
The only defense they've offered is the videos were edited.
But they aren't.
You can watch all videos, all five of them in their entirety at the Center for Medical Progress website.
The only editing is for time, brevity, and so forth, like everybody that presents video edits it.
So it's it's not a comeback, it's not a valid comeback.
They're just ignoring it.
However, ladies and gentlemen, the members of the Republican Senate know it.
Mitch McConnell and every Republican senator has seen these videos, or has heard about them, and is very, very aware of them.
And they're not talking about it either.
Now, one of the ways to get the drive-by media talking about something is for the Republican Party leadership establishment and House and Senate leaders to also talk about something because they are newsmakers by definition.
And I know even when elected Republicans talk about pick your topic, sometimes the drive-by is ignore that too, as they probably wouldn't.
But still, the Republican Party, forget public opinion for a second.
The Republican Party is ostensibly the party of opposition.
If there is a pro-life entity in politics, it would be the conservative wing of the Republican Party.
The Republican Party is not interested.
Mitch McConnell has made it clear.
We had the story first yesterday that were coming up on September, and it's it's almost become standard operating procedure now that Republican leadership announces preemptively that there will not be a government shutdown.
Because the Democrats always accuse the Republicans of wanting to shut down the government over some budget fight or some such thing.
So Mitch McConnell, Republican establishment, convinced that the American people love government so much and need government so much that if they ever even allude to the possibility of shutting it down, they will be creamed at the next election.
my point is Mitch McConnell and the Republicans, the Boehner, they They know what's going on in these Planned Parenthood videos.
And if if that's not worth shutting down the government in order to force a debate on whether or not the American people ought to be paying for what these people are doing at Planned Parenthood, which is the question.
Nobody's talking about closing Planned Parenthood and nobody's talking about putting them out The question is should the American people be paying and funding Planned Parenthood when they clearly have other sources of income and revenue.
Let them go raise their own funds.
Let rich Democrats and liberals pay for that crap if they want it to happen.
The American taxpayer ought not have to pay for it.
The Republican Party will not even stand up and make that argument.
And Jeb Bush didn't even want to get close to it when he found himself in the crosshairs of the Twitter sewer over his harmless comment that uh half a billion dollars spent on women's health wouldn't be missed if we reallocated it.
That caused all kinds of.
So there's another reason too why why the American people are unmoved by this.
And it's it's a sad reality.
And it is that even with these videos, we're not seeing anything.
We are seeing Planned Parenthood people talk about it, and we see them talk about it in gruesome detail.
But contrast that with the Cecil the Lion, every story on Cecil the Lion features either video or still shots of Cecil the Lion looking like your family pet.
Harmless, lovable, walking around in the accompanying stories, he's protecting his pride, his cubs, his kids, his harem, or what have you.
And every story accompanies the heartless the cruelty, the devastating way that Cecil died.
And it's just horrible.
I guarantee you this.
If there were pictures, if there were videos, it's sad that it's necessary, but truth is what it is.
If there were videos of these doctors at Planned Parenthood doing their Joseph Mengela act, if there were actual videos of the harvesting of these babies and the picking through body parts, the lungs, the livers to figure out what is going to be sold.
I guarantee you there would be a national uproar.
The videos of the Planned Parenthood people alone talking about it.
I'm not so sure that even that, because that's going to require people to listen.
And when there's a picture up there, you don't listen.
You're overpowered by what you see.
That's why you could you could do a story.
You could, you could you put a picture of Cecil Alliant up there, and then do a story on how mean they are, and how many human beings they have, people wouldn't hear it.
They just see this cute, cuddly picture of Cecil with the knowledge that somebody killed him, and they'd just be outraged at whoever killed it.
I mean it's it's one of the uh facts of life in a society where where television is so prominent, pictures are so prominent.
And this is not to criticize the people at the Center for Medical Progress.
I mean, they've done great, great work.
They have this is one of the greatest operations I can recall to expose what they've exposed.
But we're dealing here with uh bunch of ignorant LIVs and they're not seeing it.
And they're not even hearing about it in the drive-by, which is why, circling back to McConnell, it's important for the Republican Party to stand up for these people to stand up for what's happening here, and to say, on behalf of the American people, we're not gonna tolerate this.
Our country is sick enough without all of this happening.
And because the Republican leadership seeks to stay silent on this.
Why do you think somebody like Donald Trump rises in prominence?
Why do you think so Ted Cruz outspoken people willing to talk about this?
Because I guarantee you the vast majority of American people, when they find out about this, there's no way they look the other way and ignore it.
And the Republican leadership could play a role in helping people who have not seen it discover it.
But they haven't done that because they're scared to death of uh potential Republican government shutdown over this, that they don't think that they could survive.
Who's next?
Where are we heading next on the um on the phones?
That'd be Jay in uh Columbia, South Carolina.
Hi, Jay, great to have you on the program.
Hello.
Uh Megadiddos Rush.
That's it's an honor.
Uh thank you, sir, very much.
Uh listen, uh, real quick on the on the uh Planned Parenthood deal.
Um, it's amazing that the left doesn't realize that they're not only killing babies, but they're killing off much of their future political base, low-income minority voters.
No, they're not.
No, they're not.
Oh.
I mean, they are, but they're replacing them.
It's called immigration.
Well, yeah, they're being replaced, but still they're killing off much of them.
Uh but um anyway, to my point, um.
Trump should be on the lookout for and call out any moderator, I'm thinking Chris Wallace here, for any candy crawley moment, and say, you know, you just pulled a candy crawley.
Let's put it in the political lexicon, so moderators will uh be put on notice in the future if they try that again.
Um if they fa you know, flagrantly uh step up and take up for, say, a Jeb Bush or any other candidate, Trump should say you just pulled a candy crowley.
Um, you know, let's let's put it in the political lexicon as to what she did so that it won't happen.
You know what I find interesting about this?
And I but i th this I genuinely fascinating.
I I marvel at how people think, number one.
You are still ticked off about what Candy Crowley did.
You still are unsatisfied with how that's been dealt with.
And you want somebody to deal with this.
You want somebody put the media on notice.
You want somebody finally calling them out because you are fed up with their partisan nature and their unfairness, and you think that Trump is the guy to do it, and you're almost hoping something like this happens tonight, aren't you?
Well, yeah, and that's one of Biggs Trump's huge appeals.
Well, first of all, he can't be bought, but he is not afraid to punch the media back in the mouth, and that's what a lot of people like about Donald Trump.
He'll punch him in the mouth.
Well, what if he doesn't do it tonight?
What if, you know, we've heard the observation that he's in a different mold now, different mode.
The past week he's uh more presidential.
He hasn't been calling anybody names.
What happens if an opportunity like you want pops up tonight?
What if Donald Trump does not do something like that?
Are you gonna be disappointed and think that, oh no, oh no, Trump's not who he is either.
Are you gonna get that far down with it?
I'll be I'll be a little surprised if if if he doesn't do it.
But what how do you treat bullies, Rush?
You You punch them twice as hard as what they punch you, right?
That's how you get the respect.
Well, that's what Trump did to the media person out there.
I don't know where he was, but he said, no, no, no, you're done.
You're done.
And he didn't take any further questions from it.
The media, I think, is a little afraid of Trump.
They're afraid to challenge him now because he knows they will embarrass them.
He will punch them right in the mouth.
And they know it.
That's how you treat bullies.
You punch them back five times as hard as what they come at.
I tell you what, I'm sure you have people standing up there cheering with this.
I I don't doubt it all.
Back in a sec.
The saga.
The saga continues.
A man, a legend away alive.
Hey, look at this headline here.
This is also Molly Hemingway at the Federalists.
And the headline reads, Obama killing humans and harvesting their organs is an atrocity that must end.
Yeah, that's not about Planned Parenthood, folks.
Don't don't don't go getting all jazzed out there.
You talk about I don't know what is Obama tone deaf?
Is he clueless?
Or is he just mean and insulting?
As any president we have ever had.
President Barack Obama told a group of young African leaders on Monday that harvesting organs from humans that are killed as part of an African ritual was craziness.
And a cruel tradition that has to stop.
He warned of dehumanizing marginal groups of humans into the problems that arise when you are not able to see someone else as a human being.
In a wide-ranging QA session with members of the young African Leaders Initiative, a woman from Kenya said persons with albinism in Africa are being killed and their body parts harvested for ritual purposes.
My request to you, Mr. Obama, is to raise this issue with the heads of state of African countries to bring these atrocities to an end.
Obama decried the practice and went on to encourage the young people to do everything in their power to fight on the behalf of vulnerable humans.
He said, young people, you can lead the way and set a good example, but it requires some courage because the old thinking people will push back at you.
And if you don't have convictions and courage to be able to stand up for what you think is right, then cruelty will perpetuate itself.
He then added, if there's one thing I want Yali leaders, this is young African leaders, uh, to come out with.
It's the notion of you are strong by taking care of the people who are vulnerable, by looking after the minority, looking after the disabled, looking after the vulnerable.
You are not strong by putting people down, you're strong by lifting them up.
That's the measure of a leader.
Obama also tied the practice of harvesting organs from albinos with racism and discrimination against gay people and urged consistency in how they view the sanctity of human life if they want to complain about human rights abuses.
This is unreal.
So either Obama is totally completely tone-deaf to such blatant hypocrisy.
Or maybe it is that the news of planned parenthood harvesting baby body parts hasn't been reported on ESPN yet.
Because that's what he watches.
Can it be that he doesn't know this?
CNN didn't know just a moment ago that Republican donors have Put a hit out on Trump.
Could it be that he doesn't know what's going on?
It's not possible.
He knows what goes on in there.
He's the guy who voted for an infanticide when he was in the Senate in Illinois.
Obama is a guy, you may not remember this.
We reported it over and over again.
There was a piece of legislation.
You know, he voted present most of the time, just to not go on record.
But on this, he actually voted, he voted uh it was a yes vote.
Uh in Illinois, they had a piece of legislation that dealt with botched abortions.
Woman wants an abortion, doctor performs abortion, screws up babies born.
Legislation would permit the born baby to be killed, because the original intention was to abort it.
So it's born alive.
That wasn't the desire.
The legislation allows another doctor to come in, not the abortion, another doctor to come in and finish the baby off.
And Obama voted to support it.
And that's why many of us began calling him supporter of infanticide.
Can he not know what's going on?
How do you he's a he I mean everything he said here about what's happening to albinos in Africa could be applied to Planned Parenthood and what's happening in this country.
I think he knows.
I think he said this.
I think this is, I think he's taunting.
I think you know what this is.
To all of us in conservatism and the pro-life movement, whatever, whoever you are up there.
This was a yang ying yang yang.
This is you can't stop us.
I I refuse to believe he's this clueless.
I refuse to believe that he doesn't know what's going on.
I refuse to believe he's tone deaf.
He had to know exactly.
The words are too perfect here.
He perfectly describes what is happening in these planned Parishwood clinics and condemns it in Africa.
And I'll bet when he finishes he goes backstage or into the car wherever he goes with his buddies and says, you know how this is going to tick them off.
Oh man, I can't wait to hear what Limbo says about this.
You know he's going to get him.
You know it's going to really tick them off.
That's what I think.
Wouldn't be surprised at all.
Who's next?
Nick in uh in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Welcome to the EIB network.
Hello.
Rush, Megadetto, it's an honor to speak with you.
Thank you, sir.
Well, I just wanted to say first, uh, truly, you know, the EI, it is an EIP network, because even being on hold for over an hour and a half with entertaining great ads and everything.
The reason I called is, you know, I got to thinking that those mean spirited executives at Fox News have kind of put a border up around for tonight based on the top ten.
You know, they're leaving out the poor and bowling.
And I feel like those early debaters, maybe they should just crash that main show, you know.
And why should they honor the borders that those mean spirited execs at Fox News has put up in place?
I like the way you're thinking that here.
Okay, so the the primetime debate at 9 o'clock is a there's borders around it.
It's it's it's uh it's only exactly only ten people allowed there.
And these these other seven have been told that they are second-rate citizens.
I I think Jeb should be right there to to welcome them.
Welcome in back.
They're coming and come, they want to come out of the shadows of the five o'clock show.
Exactly.
And I think in fact, the rest of the panel should start pandering to them.
Uh, the whole time.
And just try to get them on their uh on the same page with them, all the while not knowing whether or what they're there for.
That's great.
So we've got the main debate going on, there's a little ruckus, and here come the rejected seven, and they storm down the center aisle, and they cross the border and they get on stage, and the and the moderators begin to pander to him as members of the majority, and and uh and so forth, and welcome them to the stage and and and make maybe some of the ten leave their podium so that these seven can have or maybe stand next to somebody at the podium.
That's it.
Give a man the story.
Thanks so much for taking my call and have a great one.
All right, you bet the exec news and put a border up.
Uh, yes, the um the The seven candidates walking out of the shadows, doing the job other Americans wouldn't do.
Doing work other Americans won't do.
And but the key to it is the moderators welcoming them and defending them and attacking anybody who gets mad at them for crashing the party.
You know, that would be fun even if it were to happen outside the similarities of the immigration debate.
What if what if one of those seven is screw this?
You know, they're worried about Trump blowing this thing up, I'm blowing it up.
I'm going, I'm going to storm that stage.
Here you see Carly Fiorina running out there and somebody trying to restrain her and pull her back.
Ah, we can dream, folks.
We can dream.
Ha.
How are you welcome back, folks?
Great to have you with us.
Look, I have not mean to relegate this to the last portion of the program, but I do want to mention this.
Because the headlines are all over the place.
Washington Post, Hillary Clinton scandal deepens.
And at the New York Post, FBI investigation of Hillary's emails is a criminal probe.
And all of this dovetails with the New York Times original reporting, which the Clintons then dumped all over and got them to retract.
Remember the original reporting was that two inspectors general were inspecting or wanted to investigate Hillary's emails and the server and all that.
Wait a minute, and they withdrew it.
And somebody said it wasn't true.
There wasn't an investigation as a false leak, and the New York Times ran the correction.
But it turns out that it was true, and it's even deeper than we originally thought, but there's a big flaw going on here.
The FBI investigation into former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's unsecured email account is not just a fact-finding venture.
It is a criminal probe.
The feds are investigating to what extent Clinton relied on her home server and other private devices to send and store classified documents according to a federal source.
Do you remember Sandy Burglar?
Remember him?
A Clinton crony.
Sandy Burglar walked into the National Archives and walked out with a bunch of stolen documents in his socks.
And he did Snerdley, did he get jail time for this?
I don't know if jail time.
He was charged.
He was he got some severe punishment for this.
Remember, he put these stolen documents and stuff in his socks, and then it would when it was learned that this had happened to Clinton's, ah, that's just Sandy.
You should have seen his desk when he was National Security Advisor.
My God, you couldn't see anything in there.
He just, it's just sandy, just disorganized.
Really?
He walked out in the White House with secure documents in his socks.
And he had gone in there to secure something for Hillary or somebody leading up to a I forget what it was.
I think it was a debate.
Anyway, the point is that he paid a huge price.
It was a criminal probe, and he had many more than four or five classified documents from the National Archives in his possession.
And then there's General Petraeus, who was drummed out of the military for sharing classified data with the woman that was his mistress.
Now they may be investigating Hillary, but there's a big problem.
They haven't seized that server.
It was said to me earlier today that the analogy to this would be you catch a guy who robbed the bank, but you let him keep the money while you investigate.
You know he did it.
He's got the money, and you let him keep it while you investigate what he did.
And here's the same thing.
They they haven't seized that server.
They have, if they're serious about this, which I don't believe they are.
I mean, I just I have it.
There's another school of thought, though, that says that the Clintons and the Obamas are not close, that there really is a lot of enmity there, And that this investigation that is being conducted into Hillary and her email server is coming from the executive branch,
which would be Obama, and the timing of this is such it could not be worse in terms of harming her presidential campaign here in the primary period and all that.
And so there are people who think that Obama's doing this on purpose.
The problem is, other people, there's no way the Democrats are going to take each other out like this, especially if it's going to benefit Republicans.
There's just no way.
And arguing in favor of that is the they have not demanded that server from her.
I mean, she's been allowed to go over 60,000 emails and pick the ones that she says they can have.
And she's kept over half of those emails on her server, claiming they're about yoga and uh and Chelsea's wedding and other personal stuff that has nothing to do with the job she was doing as Secretary of State.
That shouldn't matter at all.
If they're serious, they need to seize that server of hers and go through it.
Because the more she's got it, the longer she has it.
She's had it enough time now to do whatever damage to it or make whatever alterations to it.
But it's just crazy that they have not subpoenaed and demanded that server.
That's what makes me think they're not serious about it.
And I do have a tough time believing that a Democrat administration is actually serious about making Hillary Clinton a criminal.
Because if she's made a criminal, and if this gets serious, she can be denied a security clearance.
And if you don't have a security clearance, you cannot be president.
She would be disqualified on that basis alone.
Sandy Berger got community service, probation, $50,000 fine.
He was taking highly classified 9-11 documents during that commission time from the National Archives, and he destroyed some of them.
That's right.
And but the offenses did carry jail time.
He just didn't get it.
And so does what Hillary is alleged here to have done.
Penalty carries jail time.
Okay, folks, that's it.
Just enough time to say thank you for being with us and urging you to be with us tomorrow.
Open line Friday, and uh tell you what happened on the debate tonight.
Export Selection
