Welcome to today's edition of the Rush 24-7 podcast.
Greetings to you, music lovers, thrill seekers, conversationalists all across the fruited plane, Rush Limboa, coming back at you, fresh off being accused of hijacking the Donald Trump campaign.
Man, oh man.
I spent an hour on this yesterday, and still miss the point.
And it is a stunning yet again teachable moment.
Anyway, folks, it's gonna be fun.
It's great to have you here.
Rush Limbaugh, as always at the Limbaugh Institute for Advanced Conservative Studies.
The telephone number if you want to be on the program's 800 282-2882.
And the email address, ilrushbo at EIBNet.com.
So Obama's doing damage control in Pittsburgh.
He just finished.
He's addressing the uh, I guess a VFW convention.
He finally announced they're gonna lower the flag at the White House to half staff in honor of the Marines killed in Chattanooga.
They held out as long as they could.
They looked for a motive.
They unturned, overturned every rock, they looked into every nook and cranny.
They were desperate to find anything that they could latch on to that said this had nothing to do with militant Islam.
And finally, they found just the opposite.
They found evidence that militant Islam is behind this, be it Al-Qaeda or ISIS.
By the way, what does it matter whether it's ISIS or Al-Qaeda?
You know, some of the drive-by's are not trying to make a big deal.
It wasn't ISIS.
It wasn't ISIS, it was Al-Qaeda.
What is there?
A difference.
What are we now like Al-Qaeda?
Is Al Qaeda somehow not a threat now?
ISIS is the only threat.
It's amazing.
I'm I'm half surprised they didn't blame all this on Trump trying to take Trump out and everything.
And now have we got another video from Planned Parenthood uh for which we told you was coming.
Last week we talked there's a lot more coming.
This was this was an operation been going on for a long time.
And they are going to be judiciously releasing uh stealth videos.
It's what 60 Minutes used to do.
But of course, when these people do it, it's not cool.
When these people do it, it's not good.
And I uh I'm reading some people complaining that the drive-bys haven't reported on the Planned Parenthood scale.
Why would they?
Folks, it's time to come to grips.
The media is not the media.
The media's not sitting out there trying to figure out what's news and report it every day.
They're covering things up that are gonna damage their agenda.
They're covering things up, they're gonna damage their side, which is liberalism.
The drive-by's are not gonna cover this.
Going to be dragged, kicking, and screaming to it just like Obama was dragged, kicking and screaming to lowering the flag at the White House.
Out of respect, and in honor of the dead military shot in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Uh and by the way, this Trump thing, I uh I want to lead here with Planned Parenthood.
This to me is uh just outrageous.
It the soul of our nation is is being claimed and is being lost by what are mainstream leftists.
These are not left-wing kooks.
This is who the left in this country have become.
This is what the Democrat Party has become.
This is who they are, folks.
This is not some extreme bunch of wackos.
This is the mainstream of our opposition.
This is who they are, the people at Planned Parenthood, the people that are defending them, the people that are trying to ignore it and make it go away.
Have you heard anybody on the left stand up and condemn this?
You haven't, have you?
Have you you haven't, have you?
Have you heard anybody of any kind of substance at all on the left of the Democrat Party stand up and do anything other than either ignore it or try to explain it, or launch an attack on the people that produce the video.
And the people that produced the video did not write a script for the Planned Parenthood people to read.
These are the Planned Parenthood people being who they really are.
This next video, another major executive, Planned Parenthood discusses the selling of murdered baby parts.
And she's haggling over the price.
Now there's music in the background, kind of hard to hear, but it's but it's all transcribed.
At the end of this video, like the one with uh Nuka Tola, this one uh is videotapes a woman by the name Mary Gatter, Dr. Mary Gatter.
G-A-T-T-E-R, the president of Planned Parenthood's Medical Director's Council.
And at the end of this video, she talks about changing the abortion technique in order to get intact specimens.
Now remember, for political purposes, these people tell us that there is nothing there until the mother decides what to do with it.
Up until that point, it's an unviable tissue mass, or it is an illness, or something else that's offensively reprehensible and dehumanizing.
Except to these people.
We now know that in the womb it is money.
Dollar signs in the womb.
And at the end of this second video, Dr. Mary Gatter talks about changing the abortion technique to get intact specimens.
Changing from a rather violent suction method that would destroy tissue to what she calls an eye pass, which is a reference to a nonprofit company that makes and distributes manual vacuum aspirators, which would be a less harmful way to get at the internal organs, which are perfectly fine in this unviable tissue mass.
She said that there would be protocol issues with the patient, but that she saw no problem with it.
She calls this method less crunchy.
A less crunchy way to get intact organs.
And at the end of the tape, provided by the Center for Medical Progress, Dr. Mary Gatter of Planned Parenthood jokes about wanting a Lamborghini for body parts.
Now the Center for Medical Progress says that the actually Breitbart News says that the new video will no doubt stoke the fires that are now burning in Congress and in states around the country in response to the first undercover Planned Parenthood video.
Two committees in the House and Senate call for investigations of Planned Parenthood, along with five state governments.
The sale or purchase of human fetal tissue is a felony, punishable by up to ten years in prison or a fine of up to five hundred thousand dollars.
So let's go to the audio sound bites.
Second planned parenthood video, haggling over price, Dr. Mary Gatter, Planned Parenthood Federation of America's medical director, and the unidentified actress posing as a buyer, are haggling over payments for intact fetal specimens.
The buyer says, what sort of compensation would you expect for intact tissue?
In other words, what's it gonna cost me to get intact usable internal organs from a baby that you abort?
Well, you start by telling me what you used to pay.
You know, in negotiations, a person who's supposed to have to figure first about a loss, right?
If you lowball all I'll act pleasantly surprised, and you'll know it's a low ball.
Don't lowball it.
You are all discussing.
Oh, that's way too low.
Really?
That's way too low.
Bob in a place that did 50.
See, we're not in it for the money, and we don't want to be in a position of being accused of selling tissue.
I'd like to start at around a hundred.
Okay.
Are you able to hear all that?
Let me uh I'm I'm sorry, I I was able to, but only because I have the transcript.
There's a lot of uh secondary noise here.
And so I want to read this to you.
Mary Gadder says, why don't you start by telling me what you're used to paying?
You know, in negotiations, a person throws out the first figure isn't a loss, right?
I I just I don't want to lowball because I'm used to.
Why don't you just give away the technique?
What kind of insanity is this?
You know, I don't want to go first with the money because the first person throws the money out to accuse them.
The buyer says, if you lowball it, I'll act pleasantly surprised, and you'll know it's a lowball.
Don't lowball it.
Just tell me what you charge.
Gatter says 75 dollars a specimen.
Buyers, oh, that's too low.
That is too low.
Really?
Way too low.
Planned Parenthood says, Well, I've been at places that did 50.
See, we're not in it for the money, and we don't want to be in a position of being accused of selling tissue.
They're angling overpriced.
They're haggling overpriced, they don't want to be accused of doing it for money.
Buyer says, I'd like to start around $100.
Gatter says, Fine.
Okay.
This is the part of the video where she admits that they use a less crunchy technique to get better specimens.
And then the woman who just said they're not in it for the money suggests that the $100 price may be low because she wants a Lamborghini.
Here's Mary Gadder Planned Parenthood.
Write me a three or four paragraph proposal, which I will then take to others in our organization to see if we want to pursue this.
If we want to pursue this mutually, I'll mention this to Ian in terms of how he feels about using a less crunchy technique to get more specimens.
Let me just figure out what others are getting at it.
This is in the ballpark, and that's fine.
If it's still low, then we can talk about it.
I want to land the beauty.
Were you able to hear that?
Well, here let me read it to you.
For those of you who might have had problems, you never know.
Write me a three or four paragraph proposal, which I will then take to Laurel and others in our organization to see if we want to pursue this.
And if we want to pursue this mutual, I'll mention this to Ian in terms of how he feels about using a less crunchy technique to get more specimens.
And let me just figure out what others are getting.
And if this is in the ballpark, then it's fine.
If it's still low, then we can bump it up.
I want a Lamborghini.
Dr. Mary Gatter of the Planned Parenthood Federation is the medical director.
Never lose sight of what's going on here.
Planned Parenthood is profiting by killing babies in a way that their internal organs survive so that they can sell them.
I mean, it's that's that's what's happening here.
Probably has been going on for a long time.
And all these recent decades, 25 years, 30 years.
Planned Parenthood in the pro-choice community have convinced people that this is strictly a women's rights issue.
It's an issue that is designed to free women from the dominant brutal male patriarchy.
It's an issue designed to give women liberty.
Liberation and freedom of choice.
It's about the right to choose.
Well, now we know why the advocates, the right to choose, have been so advocating.
Always try to follow the money.
Here are these leftists that want everybody to believe that they don't care about money, everything they do is charitable because they're nice people and they are compassionate and they're understanding, and they're all for protecting the little people who get trampled on by the big people.
And look who is doing trampling.
The greatest example of the essence of innocence that I can conjure.
A baby in the womb.
I mean, it hasn't done anything to anybody.
It represents And is new life.
It is the essence of innocence.
It cannot speak for itself.
It cannot protect itself.
It cannot defend itself.
While being the essence of innocence, it is the most vulnerable it will ever be.
And here come the people promising and telling and guaranteeing that they are protecting the rights of the little people.
They protecting the vulnerable.
They are making sure that the little guy, the vulnerable, the powerless, don't get trampled on by who?
The rich.
The powerful.
Usually this means Republicans.
And yet, in yet another case study of reality, exposing fraud, who actually is trampling over the defenseless?
The innocent.
The vulnerable.
The very damn people who claim to be their protectors, the protectors of liberty, individual rights, the right to choose, what have you.
Same people who want these body parts for stem cells that have yet to prove worthy of research, worthwhile, or any of that.
It's just sick.
It is just sick.
And it is completely and totally unremarked upon in the drive-by media.
Carly Fia Rina this morning on her YouTube channel released a new video responding to this second and latest planned parenthood secretly recorded video.
It doesn't matter whether you think you're pro-choice or pro-life.
Every woman, every man has to look at these videos and think, what has gone wrong in our nation?
This is a terrible moment.
And it is made even more terrible by the absolute deafening silence of the Democratic Party.
Democrats have always fought for a policy that says it is not a life until it leaves the hospital.
Hillary Clinton has fought to preserve that policy.
And we now have a moment in this nation to take some real action here.
Gotta take a break, but that's just a continuation.
There's gonna be more, folks.
The people behind all of this, the Center for Medical Progress, they have uh much more, I'm told, waiting in the wings that have been at this for quite a while.
And uh not quite this, the tip of the iceberg, but there's much, much more to come.
This is not some rogue planned parenthood office somewhere, uh, engaging in activity that the mother organization does knowing about.
These are the directors.
And a brief time out while we collect ourselves come back here and try to straighten out this mess about me hijacking Trump's campaign or whatever.
Somebody just asked me, how how rush?
How can these people do this?
How can they not know what they're doing to a baby?
Ladies and gentlemen, I wish I could answer that for you.
I mean, these are the people that are extracting what they hope are workable, usable body parts, so they're taking great, great care not to crunch, not to crush.
So what they extract are actual what they hope usable baby body organs they can sell.
Now, how a person or the people doing this can then turn around and say that what they're dealing with is an unviable tissue mass?
I can only guess.
I think you have to have the concept of evil.
You have to understand it, and you have to acknowledge that it exists.
It's a real thing.
Same people that say unviable tissue mass, or it's an actually an illness leading to pregnancy or pregnancy leads to an illness and so forth.
Every crazy justification they've offered for abortion, the very same people doing that are now extracting body parts usable, selling them for profit.
I mean, what are they telling themselves about what they're doing?
I don't know, they're probably lying to themselves about medical research and saving lives.
Probably come up with one life to save millions.
I mean, it's probably not hard to imagine the contortions they undergo to justify this.
They clearly think they're doing a service.
They clearly believe they are serving mankind and medical research.
But to anybody with common decency, it's just sick.
And it's something that I dare say the vast majority of people in this country would never ever dream would happen here.
We went to war to stop people like this before.
There was an issue that we didn't get to yesterday in the program, and that it's the latest Nut Roots Convention in which Martin O'Malley, the former, well, governor of Maryland, mayor of Baltimore, got shouted off the stage for saying all lives matter.
He was booed and intimidated off the stage.
The only thing the crowd wanted to hear was black lives matter.
Martin O'Malley and somebody else, somebody else uh booed off the stage.
And O'Malley was just trying to be a good liberal, you know, equality, sameness, yeah, all lives matter.
No, they don't.
All lives matter is white supremacy.
All lives matter is white superiority.
It's not right.
It's black lives matter.
I wonder do black lives matter at Planned Parenthood.
The nation's leading abortion factory.
I shudder to think how many African Americans are aborted every year.
I wonder, do black lives matter this is liberalism.
Liberalism gives us this concoction, black lives matter.
Well, it's obvious lives do not matter at Planned Parenthood, doesn't matter whose they are.
Okay, now last night, folks, I'm I'm sitting at home, I'm minding my own business.
I'm actually relaxing.
I have uh I have a couple of books going, and I was reading one of them.
And by the way, I probably ought to announce the books.
People asking me what I've been reading lately, and I haven't answered that.
This one happened to be the English spy by Daniel Silva.
Uh, but there's Daniel Silva.
What did I say?
Daniel Silva, S-I-L-V-A, Daniel Silva.
Yes, Daniel Silva.
The English spy.
Not to be confused with the English girl, a predecessor book.
This is the English spy.
So I'm reading that, and I start getting emails and text messages, saying they're talking about you on CNN.
You're all over CNN.
And of course, nobody tells me what.
In fact, most of these emails, I assume you know, but you are all over CNN.
No, I don't know because I don't have CNN on at the time.
It turns out that there was uh Anderson Cooper show was on.
They were talking about me rallying you, the audience of this program to Donald Trump's defense.
And then another email said, You've probably seen it, but the New York Times is all over this in you today.
No, I haven't seen that either.
So I went and found it, and I've got it.
Here it is.
And it's uh it's a blog section of the New York Times posted last night by Maggie Haberman, who used to be at the politico, Rush Limbaugh rallies listeners to Donald Trump's defense.
Conservative radio host who has a substantial following among grassroots Republicans came to the defense of Donald Trump Monday.
As prominent leaders in the party stepped up their criticism of Trump's pointed comments about McCain.
Such a defense is not entirely surprising since Mr. Limbaugh's distaste for the Republican establishment is deep and well documented.
No, it's not.
I mean, just last week, the New York Times or the Washington Post said somebody's writing about how I run the Republican Party.
You know it as well as I do that one day I'm running the Republican Party, or I'm the titular head of the Republican Party, the next day I'm just an entertainer.
But last night in the New York Times, I have a distaste that's well known and deep and well documented for the Republican establishment.
But the supportive words from Mr. Limbaugh may provide Mr. Trump with the inoculation he needs to survive the scorn of the party's elders long enough to be included in the presidential debates.
Something that never came up on this program yesterday.
Trump surviving whatever we didn't talk about it here.
It may have elsewhere.
And then they quote me accurately.
It's not a bad when they start quoting me, it isn't bad.
But the thing that look at, I don't want to make too big a deal of it because I I'm the one who tells you you really can't trust with the drive-by's and they don't get it right a lot.
My point yesterday was not to come to Trump's defense.
My point was to yesterday was to illustrate a teachable moment yesterday, the American people with a chance to see something they don't often see, haven't seen in a long time.
And I'm sorry to be redundant for those of you who were here yesterday, but for people who weren't, I want to set the record straight on what happened on the program yesterday.
It isn't complicated at all.
Here's the setup.
The conventional wisdom in circumstances like this goes this way.
You have a Republican public figure who says something that constitutes stepping in it.
This case, McCain's supposed comment, or Trump's supposed comments about McCain, but even those were distorted.
And whatever, the perp always a Republican, never a Democrat.
The PERP always says something so bad, so beyond the pale, that the entire media establishment and the Washington establishment immediately demand that the PERP apologize.
And usually the perp does.
The conventional wisdom is the perp apologizes, begs forgiveness, says that wasn't me.
I don't know who that was, but that's not what I really think.
I really didn't mean it.
And they apologize and they slink away, never to be heard from again.
And the key point that was not, and this was talked about all night and even today on CNN, the key point that was not mentioned that makes all of this come together, as far as I'm concerned.
The element of all of this conventional wisdom is an assumption that the outrage expressed by the media and the Washington establishment echoes national outrage.
So you have the networks, the drive-by's, the newspapers, all the media people, and the Washington establishment, and they're all telling everybody how horrible it was what Trump said.
How over the top it was, how this is beyond the pale, how this is the last straw.
He's gotta go.
This is not who we are.
This is not what our politics ought to be.
You've heard it all.
And the assumption is that everybody in America feels the same way.
The assumption, the presumption, in fact, is that the outrage you see in the media is reflective of a majority of the American people.
I'll give you another example to try to illustrate this.
Let's go back to Indiana and the religious freedom law that was passed, which ultimately led to a little pizza shop being shut down by the gay mafia and a bunch of trolls on Twitter for one of the sewers at Twitter, because the little woman proprietor said in response to a question that they would not cater a gay wedding, a pizza shop.
They'd never been asked to cater one.
We had a media reporter that was that was shopping on the whole state for controversy and walked into this little pizza store 30 miles outside of Indianapolis.
We would not cater a gay wedding, hear it, pizza pizza, whatever it was because I really didn't believe that made the news, and then of course there was outrage over that.
The media had outrage.
Uh political establishment outraged, and the assumption was that everybody in America thought that little pizza shop should be shut down, sent packing, never to be heard from again.
And my point has always been that that is what makes this collective outrage and demand that a public figure apologize and go away work has been this assumption that a majority of Americans agree that whoever and whatever the PERP did is just unacceptable and intolerable, and we must get rid of this person.
And I've always believed that's not the case.
I know it isn't the case in my own personal experiences.
So what I said yesterday, we're having this put to a test now.
We have an opportunity to see, because Trump isn't following the rules.
Trump is not doing what perps are supposed to do.
Your average Republican who steps in it.
And by the way, it's always the media and the establishment that define whether somebody stepped in it.
Not the American people.
And if the media find what Trump said outrageous, that's all you need.
And if the establishment finds that it's outrageous, that's all you need.
And then you act like everybody thinks so.
And then the perp apologizes, begs forgiveness, and is never to be seen or heard from again.
Trump didn't do any of that.
He doubled down.
He doubled down on this criticism of McCain.
He tried to switch the focus of the issue from him and McCain to veterans' affairs.
And in doing so, the American people have seen something they haven't seen in a long time, and that is a target.
Stand up and refuse to go away.
A target stand up and refuse to apologize.
On the basis that the target doesn't want to be run out of the race by a bunch of media people or the Washington establishment.
If a target's going to be run out of the race, it's going to be by virtue of votes or what have you.
So Trump's not playing by the rules, and he's hanging around, and he doubled down.
And what I tried to make yesterday was we're now going to see the American people are going to be polled over the next few days and weeks.
And we will see if what Trump said about McCain actually hurts him or not.
The reason that's important is because when the outrage originally happens, when the media hears what Trump says about McCain and blows their gasket, and the Washington establishment blows their gasket.
That is presumed to be the end of Trump.
This is how it works.
This is how they get rid of Republicans.
Any number of them.
I mean, I can go, the list is long.
They tried to do Sarah Palin over and over.
This is how they get rid of Republicans.
And it's always an arbitrary decision or judgment that some Republican has said something so intolerable, so politically incorrect, so reprehensible, that civil discourse demands this person just go away and maybe even die.
But certainly get out of our sight and stop talking.
And that's always what happens.
Because the perps fall for the belief that the majority of the American people share that sentiment.
But we never really know.
We never know because the perps leave too soon.
So there can't be any polling data a week or two afterwards, based on the perps staying in and fighting.
Well, Trump is staying in and fighting, and we're going to have some polling data on this, and we're going to find out.
Now, it just so happened at the end of the day yesterday, the Washington Post and ABC News released a poll, and it showed Trump with twice the lead over Scott Walker, 24 to 13.
And it was reported in some places.
Oh my God, Trump survived it.
Oh my God, this is horrible.
Oh my God, it didn't hurt Trump.
Oh my God, it even helped Trump.
Too soon to know, folks.
It's too soon.
We don't know yet.
This is the point.
The last day of the ABC Washington Post poll was the first day of the Trump McCain contract.
And the day before, Trump was at 30 in this poll.
The next day, he fell to 24, fell six points.
And then the poll ended.
The poll period ended.
So we don't know whether Trump's comments have elicited a similar level of outrage and opposition with the American public as they did with the media and the Washington establishment.
And we will find out now because Trump is staying in.
He's doubling down.
He's in South Carolina.
He's uh he's not apologizing, and he's he can't apologize now, even if he had a change of heart and wants to.
He's gone too far.
He can't.
And even even McCain is saying, I don't want an apology.
I don't want to, we just got to move on.
I'm tired of this and so forth and so on.
So we'll find out.
None of this was offered in support of Trump.
I was simply offering cutting edge analysis.
And I was observing something that I thought was a teachable moment that we don't see much.
Most of the time, the targets of these kinds of things are dealt with and done away with and sent packing.
I mean, what was the little I can't?
I've got to take a break.
I just saw the clock.
I'm way long here, so let me do that.
We'll be right back.
In the drive-by's media, the establishment in Washington are all trying to figure out why.
Why is Trump getting so much support?
Why is it getting.
I'll tell you why.
On my left hand here, I've got the Planned Parenthood story where we are murdering babies in the womb and selling body parts for profit, Planned Parenthood doing it, bragging about it, setting prices, woman saying she wants to get a Lamborghini.
Over here we've got Trump saying words about McCain.
And in those two circumstances, what's everybody upset about?
Trump.
There's a sordid lack of proportion in this country.
And my contention to you is that the American people are far more fed up with what they learn about Planned Parenthood.
A vast majority of Americans are livid and scared and shocked and repulsed by what they've learned about Planned Parenthood, to the point that makes Trump's comments about McCain pale in importance and comparison.
And yet over here we have the establishment and the media, and they haven't said a word about Planned Parenthood, but they're they're beside themselves with anger and shock and dismay over what Donald Trump is saying.
I mean, you talk about disconnect.
People in Washington, D.C., at all levels of the political class, being media, elected officials, people at work at uh lobbying firms, fundraisers, the whole mess, the bureaucracy.
I don't think they have the slightest idea what it is that's on the minds of your average American citizen this these days.
So the average American does everything he or she can to get their attention.
In the case of Republicans sit home and not vote and let Barack Obama be elected.
No doubt in my mind that the four million or so Republicans that sat home in 2008 didn't vote for Romney or 2012, didn't vote for Romney, did that as the only way they can get a message to the Republican establishment.
They were disgusted, they were fed up, asked for money, never being listened to.
So to me, this is evidence of just how out of just how sick our our whole political structure and maybe culture at large is right now.
Anyway, I was we've got a bunch of sound bites uh from CNN last night, and even this morning, this conversation about me and Jeffrey Lord from the American Spectator, God bless Jeffrey Lord did everything he could to explain, because he was the guest last night and this morning on the sea did everything he could to explain to these people why they were upset at me.
He did everything he could to explain to them what happened on the program yesterday here, and it was good.
But we'll find out, folks, uh, in in in not too long a period of time.
My guess is that Trump's not gonna suffer long-term polling damage over this, precisely for the reasons that I have given and more.
Back in a sec here.
John Kerry says it's very disturbing.
Very disturbing, and he doesn't understand it.
And the Ayatollah hominy in Iran is still saying very critical things of America.
Honest to God, folks, Kerry said it's disturbing and he doesn't understand it.
