Welcome to today's edition of the Rush 24-7 podcast.
Hey, did you people see where John McCain has endorsed Trump?
What a major, major event here in Republican Party Politics.
Greetings, my friends.
Great to have you.
And Rush Limbaugh, the EIB network, the Limbaugh Institute, Advanced Conservative Studies.
Right back at you here.
800 282-2882.
If you want to be on the program, the email address Lrushbow at EIBNet.com.
Yeah, McCain came out and said that Trump has fired up the crazies.
If that's not an endorsement, I don't know what is.
If I were Trump, I would uh I would thank and and and say that he accepts the endorsement.
I mean, we what is his nickname, McCrazy?
So McCain's out there saying that Trump has fired him up.
I'm just joking, of course, for those of you in the low information category.
Just a little lightheartedness here at what uh the top of what will be, sadly, ladies and gentlemen, portions of yet another heavy, heavy portion of the program.
As far as what we learned yesterday about Planned Parenthood selling harvested body parts from the aborted babies that they um kill to perform.
It has been a case that I'm shocked, I really am shocked.
There's all kinds of people on our side just astounded that a the media hasn't covered it.
They are astounded that Planned Parenthood supporters are still Planned Parenthood supporters.
Really?
I I I can't emphasize this enough.
It was uh that the story was such yesterday.
I think a lot of people thought that this was going to be such a story the left couldn't possibly defend this.
That Democrat elected officials couldn't possibly defend this, that they would have to come out and condemn it.
And I told a caller yesterday that wasn't going to happen.
They always circle the wagons on things like this, and in fact it hasn't happened, and it went in waves.
The first thing that happened was it was denied.
The whole thing, the video was chalked up as a right-wing sting operation.
Not to say that sting operations don't produce the truth, but they tried to say the whole thing was illegitimate and phony and fake.
And then after that failed, it was a massive Twitter campaign and number of other campaigns designed to uh attack the people that did the video.
When that didn't work, the left's next course of action was to praise the entire operation as a means of furthering medical research and to deny that anything was going on, that there was really nothing to see here, that no law had been broken, that there was nothing outrageous.
In fact, it was great what Planned Parenthood was doing for the very reason I just stated, advancing medical research.
And this has left a bunch of people on our side flabbergasted.
And they have if if this, if something as profound and major as this is not going to cause the left any embarrassment, cause any abandonment of Planned Parenthood, then what in the world on any issue could happen.
What about liberalism?
What if anything in liberalism could be exposed as for what it is?
If this didn't do the trick, what will?
And there's there's uh uh manifest frustration.
The Daily Caller has a post today, a story headline, mainstream media refuses to give planned parenthood scandal legs.
The question is why.
And this is not to rip the Daily Caller.
That's Chatsworth Osborne Jr.'s website, and I'm not ripping the website, and I'm not actually ripping anybody on our side.
I'm just noting that there were a lot of people who thought this was one of those tipping points everybody's waiting for.
And it isn't.
The left is not going to admit anything like this precisely Because it's our operation.
And it doesn't matter what it is.
This is not.
We are not going to win by persuading them.
And I'm talking about the leaders of their movement.
Now we don't know about rank and file leftists and Democrats out there.
You would have to think that people that are anonymous that we don't know, that are never in the news, that are never quoted.
Even Twitter is made up largely, the people that run Twitter campaigns are largely the 10 or 12 leaders.
The mass opinion on this is going to be really hard to figure out till we get some decent polling data if we do.
But then my point is there might be some Tom Dick and Harries out there and Janes and Johns and Joes and so forth that we don't know on the left that were repulsed by it, but we'll never hear about it.
We'll never hear from them, and they will never be focused on a quoted.
The leadership, they're not going to cave on anything ever.
And the idea that we can start to win or win at all by peeling people away from their issues is folly.
It isn't going to happen.
And this goes, by the way, it the same strategy of saying we can compromise, we can cross the aisle, we can work with the other side.
That's not going to win anything, and it's not going to win any converts, and it's not going to get any Democrats voting with Republicans.
Trying to compromise with these people or trying to persuade them they're wrong, in other words, at the leadership level, isn't going to happen.
They just have to be defeated, folks.
They have to be beaten.
And the drive-by media is part of the apparatus.
We're not going to change the drive-by media.
Look at what they're doing to Major Garrett, because of his sense of the only sensible question Obama's been asked about anything in a couple of months.
And the entire drive-by media circling the wagons, trying to embarrass and impugn Major Garrett, who for now is holding his ground.
But they're demanding that he apologize.
They're demanding that he apologize for being rude and disrespectful to our young dear leader.
And all Major Garrett did was ask a very sensible question.
Why, if we are in negotiations with Iran trying to uh supposedly limit their nuclear weapons development, why in the hell didn't we get a concession from them?
They were to release four Americans they're holding prisoner.
And Obama acted outraged and offended at the way Major Garrett asked the question at the question itself.
And then in his answer, I thought revealed a number of things that haven't been noticed yet, except by you, because I told you.
They haven't been noticed because everybody on the left is focused on what a mean guy Major Garrett was.
That's outwards Obama.
Nice guy.
He's trying to save the world.
He wants everybody to have health care.
Oh.
You know what Obama did today?
Well, I don't know if it was today, but I've got the story today.
Obama has promised that housing projects, low-income housing all across the fruited plain, are going to get free broadband service, free internet.
But they're not going to just get free internet.
They're going to get the fastest internet that's out there, Google fiber.
You don't have Google Fiber, and you can't get Google Fiber unless you live in certain neighborhoods in Kansas City, a couple of other cities.
It's expanding, but you can't get it yet.
It's more expensive than your DSL or your dial-up, or even if you have ISDN or T1, it's a little bit more expensive than that.
But other like ATT and Comcast are going to hit major news speed thresholds this fall.
But Obama is giving public housing residents high speed Google fiber internet.
He's a nice guy.
Obama's a nice.
He really cares.
Major Garrett, mean.
It's a mean question.
Just mean, which is the attitude the drive-byers wish to convey.
It was a sensible question, but what Obama revealed was after Chiding Major Garrett for the construction of his question and then for the audacity to ask the question.
Obama said something about, well, then they would have demanded further concessions.
And said, wait a minute.
Further can Iran would have demanded further concessions if we had demanded they release four Americans they're holding prisoner, one of which, by the way, is a drive-by journalist.
Concessions?
What in the world are we doing making concessions?
We supposedly hold all our cards.
We and the other five so-called nations that were involved in the negotiations, had to sign off on Iran getting nukes.
What is this concessions?
Obama admits, unwittingly, that the entire Iran deal was a series of concessions we made, which means we weren't negotiating from a position of strength or power attitudinally.
I mean, we were, but we didn't use it.
We were making concessions.
I couldn't ask for the race of four America.
My God, further concessions would have been required.
And nobody's focusing on that because they're all trying to destroy Major Garrett today because he was so mean.
The only thing that didn't happen is they didn't chase Major Garrett out of the press room down to the Washington Monument like they did a Daily Caller reporter not long ago named Neil Monroe.
It was in the Bergdahl Garden section of the White House, and Obama was doing a press availability, and it was stated up front there'd be no questions.
Neil Monroe asked one anyway.
And the drive-bys literally got so mad at the guy they chased him out of the White House grounds all the way down to the Washington Monument.
Some of them did.
So the idea that the media is going to change its mind on Planned Parenthood, the idea that the media is going to act outrage at Planethood, it was never going to happen.
They're going to circle the wagons.
And what they've decided, and they they tried a bunch of things.
I said the first thing they tried was it's phony.
This video's a fake, a sting operation, it's unreal, it's a bunch of right-wing tricksters.
And then when they couldn't make that fly, then it turned into, well, this is great, Planned Parenthood doing remarkably great work for medical research, trying to find cures for diseases and uh and so forth.
And people are just left open-mouthed on our side.
Mainstream media refuses to give Planned Parenthood scandal legs, the question is why.
Why?
Why are the drive-by media, why is the drive-by media quiet on crime created by illegal aliens?
Why is drive-by media quiet on black on black crime or black on white crime?
And the answer is very simple.
The left, the Democrats, the liberals know, don't doubt me on this.
They know they cannot defend what they believe.
They cannot defend their policies.
Not honestly, not intellectually.
They make efforts now and then, and they also always do so in the um in the rubric of class warfare or compassion.
But regardless how, the method of defense, liberalism mounts on behalf of itself is always to attack us.
They don't debate their beliefs.
They don't dare debate their policies, their philosophy, their ideology.
They don't dare debate that in the arena of ideas.
They know they won't win.
They win by bullying.
They win by eliminating opposition, and they eliminate opposition by discrediting individual members of the opposition.
They tried literally to destroy people's careers, reputations, and in some cases lives.
Ask Scott Walker, he's endured it for five years and three elections.
It never ended.
And they are still attempting to do so now now that he's seeking the Republican presidential nomination.
They can't defend what they believe in.
Furthermore, folks, they don't believe they should have to.
And that's the real bottom line.
They don't think they should have to defend what they believe.
What they believe is just what is.
What they believe is oh not surrounded.
The people need to defend themselves or us.
We're the oddballs, kooks, squares, nerds, hayseeds, cooks, what have you.
We need to defend ourselves.
We're the ones who have to explain why it is we are so insane, why we are so intolerant, why we are so hateful, why we are so bigoted, why we are so racist.
We're the ones that have to defend ourselves.
They're never going to enter any kind of conversation.
We have to defend themselves.
And if they find themselves in a circumstance like that, they get tricked into it.
It's less than 30 seconds and they are attacking whoever they're debating.
So take your pick.
It's not just the Planned Parenthood video, it's any other liberal policy that doesn't work.
You see them defending Obamacare.
Have you ever heard them actually defend Obamacare without lying about thinking, well, it lowers everybody's premiums and people have been able to keep their doctors, but they don't defend the actual plan.
They lie about it, but they don't enter into a debate about how it's superior to alternative ideas.
They never do.
And they're not on this.
Furthermore, not only is Planned Parenthood engaging in great compassionate long-term medical research.
Not only is Planned Parenthood deeply seeking the cure for many modern diseases.
Why, it's all legal if you listen to the left.
It's all legal what they're doing.
Abborting babies and then harvesting body parts for sale.
Yes, it's all legal.
And it's above board.
Now, folks, I know this is gruesome.
But since many of you are dissatisfied with the lack of outrage on the left and what it's been discovered that they're doing.
Well, let me try another tack at it.
And I will admit, going in this is gruesome.
But this group that has produced the video have exposed a brochure that Planned Parenthood has.
There's more than just the video, in other words.
They've exposed Planned Parenthood in that video, but they've got much more to back up what they're doing in the form of an entire brochure that proves the profit motive in the sale of fetal body parts.
A planned parenthood brochure that circulates that talks about selling these body parts for profit.
Which I thought was a dirty word on the left.
Well, since that brochure has surfaced, there's a link to it.
We could uh put it at Rush Limbaugh.com here in just a moment.
I have to take a break right now, but since they're doing this for profit, and they think it's all fine and dandy and wonderful.
I have some questions that if they answer them, we could maybe find out just how successful they have been at this.
Okay, so there's a brochure.
Explains what Planned Parenthood's doing, doing it for profit.
Everything's legal, it's great, they say.
Yes, they're doing everything they can to find cures for disease.
Fine and dandy.
Now, folks, I know this is gruesome, but hang with me.
Let's ask to see how much money planned parenthood made, say for livers in 2014.
And then let's ask to see if there's a breakdown for how much profit they made in harvesting and selling hearts and heads.
Let's see the spreadsheets.
I mean, they're bragging here about profit, they've got this brochure, they've got left out there talking about what a legal and wonderful project this actually is.
Well, let's see some signs of success.
I mean, other corporations sometimes report sales figures.
Let's audit all the files.
Does each planned parenthood operation operate off a budget?
I mean, they've got a business model that includes the harvesting and sale of body parts of living human fetuses.
I mean, what good is this?
It has to be that.
I mean, if it's all legal, it's all above board.
Let's see the details.
Let's let's find out how this is so wonderful here.
Let's let's see the data.
Let's find out how many cures there have been.
Let's find out what advances in medical research have taken place as a result of this, and let's see the amount of money that's involved in this.
Is it a major American business?
No, no, I know it's barbarism.
It's shameful, and it's all underwritten with taxpayer money, folks.
Documented to be almost always right, 99.7% at a time, Rush Limbaugh, half my brain tied behind my back, just to make it fair.
John Boehner this morning, Capitol Hill Weekly Press Conference.
This week at my request, our committees have begun looking at some of the gruesome practices embraced by Planned Parenthood.
I'm also demanding that the president denounce and stop these practices.
So rest assured we're going to get to the bottom of this and protect uh the values that we hold dear.
Now, did anybody uh expect that Obama will denounce Planned Parenthood?
Now I know Boehner didn't probably doesn't expect Obama to denounce it, but he's demanded he do so.
Well, I have your attention about this, because I know I do.
I happen to be one of those people that commands the attention of others.
It just happens.
So I know I have your attention.
And while I have your attention, can I remind you about something?
I remind you about Barack Obama as a state senator in Illinois, long before he became a United States Senator, and many moons prior to his running for the presidency in 2007 and 2008.
In Illinois, paraphrasing this, they struggled with all kinds of abortion law.
And at the end of it all, it would be entirely accurate to say that Barack Obama voted for infanticide.
The bill in question dealt with botched abortions.
What to do if the baby survives?
And the bill that Obama supported gave the doctor permission to finish the job outside the womb.
So expecting Barack Obama to denounce what has been seen in this Planned Parenthood video is a misguided expectation.
And I don't expect that Boehner really thinks he will.
But Barack Obama is right in there with these people.
This is and so is every other elected Democrat.
I mean, ladies and gentlemen, it has been said countless times and it remains true.
Abortion is for all intents and purposes the sacrament to the religion of liberalism.
And there will be nothing.
No time, any time, anywhere by anybody that is going to change that nor denounce the practice in any form.
I mean, you really you look remember how difficult a job it was to get even some of those people to speak out against partial birth abortion, which what's partial birth abortion?
That means the baby is born.
And then we use the word aborted rather than killed.
And so language, so I've always said words mean things.
So we soften the impact Of what all's really happening here with the way we choose the term or describe these things.
Any I know it's only partially born.
That's the point.
It's not, it's it's not besides, life hasn't begun yet until liberals say it does.
And well, that in the case of abortion, that's that's the operative truth.
Life begins when liberals claim it does, or when a future Supreme Court decision decides.
When life begins.
Anyway, that's that uh wouldn't expect much to change other than it's going to remain intense.
And I have a feeling the group that did the video and is exposing this has some more up their sleeves.
And yeah, wait till the IRS gets hold of them, not Planned Parenthood.
Planned Parenthood ought to be in the crosshairs of the IRS.
I mean, they're a charity.
IRS is tax-exempt, uh Planned Parenthood.
They get taxpayer funding for all of this.
And yet they're out there involving themselves in politics and they're out there engaged in for-profit activity.
If there's any group that was ever made to order for an IRS inspection is Planned Parenthood.
Now, Barack Obama, let's.
What is it about Oklahoma and Democrat presidents?
Bill Clinton went into, well, actually didn't do this in Oklahoma City.
I think he actually blamed me for Oklahoma City while he was in Michigan.
But there's something about Oklahoma that makes Democrat presidents think about me and talk radio.
After the Oklahoma City bombing, Bill Clinton made a speech and talked about the hateful anti-American rhetoric that you can hear out in the airwaves every day in America.
And it's not right.
And it was clear the only person on the airwaves that mattered back then was me.
The blogs hadn't started.
There was no Fox News, it was only CNN on cable doing news, and it was just us and talk radio.
And so he's talking about the airwaves, and when we called him on it, the White House.
No, no, no, no, we're talking about the Michigan militia shortwave.
Well, Obama went into Oklahoma.
As you know, he went to speak to prisoners.
First president ever to go to a sitting, a sitting president to go to a prison.
In fact, there's a great headline on this story today.
Obama goes to prison.
And of course it didn't mean what the headline implies, but he went out and he went, he addressed convicts.
He addressed prisoners.
The idea that they're not legitimately there, that they are victims of an unfair, unjust legal system.
And Obama's out there representing them.
He's commuted 46, well, actually more than 15 in March, 46, 61 different sentences, and there will be more to come.
So last night, Durant, Oklahoma at Durant High School, President Obama.
When we make those commitments to all of our children, the great thing about it is the blessings are returned back to us.
Because you end up having a workforce that is better educated.
Which means suddenly companies want to locate, which means businesses starts booming, which means businesses start hiring, which means everybody does better.
So not only is it the right thing to do, it's the smart thing to do.
That's our tradition.
It's not democratic or Republican, it is the American tradition.
And we forget that sometimes because we're so caught up in our day-to-day politics.
And we listen to a bunch of hooey on TV or talk radio that doesn't really tell the truth about what's going on.
There you have it.
Something about Oklahoma and presidents, Democrat presidents, that makes them zero in on talk radio.
Did you hear the president describe trickle down there?
You didn't?
Well, let me read the transcript for you.
He's describing trickle-down economics when he's talking about how the if we can just educate people in prison that we can have a new economic boom.
That's right.
When we make those commitments to all of our children, the great thing about it is the blessings that are returned back to us.
Yes, all these young skulls full of mush out there.
If we just indoctrinate them with the right kind of liberalism and and education, wow.
Things they're going to give back to us, we can only marvel at.
He said, because you end up having a workforce that's better educated.
And that means that suddenly companies want to locate where the smart people are, which means that businesses start booming, which means that businesses start hiring, which means that everybody does better.
He just described trickle down.
He just described free market commerce.
It's just a shame he doesn't believe it.
But he just described it.
So letting convicted prisoners out of prison is the right thing to do because the love we show them in letting them out of jail is going to come back to us in blessing upon blessing upon blessing.
And as we educate the prisoners and then let them out of jail and make sure they can vote, yes, then they're gonna add intelligence to our workforce.
Did you know our workforce is kind of stagnating because the best and brightest of us are in prison?
That's right.
If we simply would find a way to educate and activate the prison community, why Katie Barredore, there's no telling what our economy could become, because the real bright people are sitting in prison cells unfairly.
And if we could just get in there and just educate them and it'll let them go.
They will show everybody how smart they are, which means companies, because these prisoners have been let go, will want to locate to where the prisoners lived since they got out of jail.
And that means businesses will start booming, which means businesses will start hiring, which means everybody does better if we only activate the prison community.
The Democrat Party is beginning to panic.
Hillary Clinton in the latest polling data is at 39% among Democrats.
That is down from 59%.
What did I tell you?
Do not doubt me.
When Hillary shows up and starts talking, that's when her numbers go down.
When she shuts up and doesn't say anything, and it's left to the media to do nothing but praise her.
That's when the numbers level off and maybe start climbing.
But it's guaranteed.
She starts talking, bam-o.
Numbers head south.
Details on that coming up, plus the latest on the Iran deal, and it continues.
This is another each practically each hour, there is a new revelation of what a disaster this deal with Iran is.
So that's coming up.
But I want to get to the phones here.
We'll start with Perry in Madison, Wisconsin.
I'm glad you called.
Thank you, sir.
It's great to have you with us.
Thank you for having me, Rush.
Uh, first time caller.
I've been listening to you from day one that you've been on the air and the People's Republic of Madison.
Yesterday you uh reported on the eyeball eight news dude who uh was he commented how people don't come to our country.
We don't have people coming to our country to inspect our nuclear facilities.
Well, I was just screaming yesterday.
We are not threatening to kill China.
We are not threatening to blow up Russia.
We are, you know, we are the peacekeepers in the world.
And I was really surprised you didn't bring that up.
Well, I did.
Well, it just it it made me livid that there's uh there's people out there that think that way.
Well, I did it in a different way than you did, and you know what?
I'm glad you called.
I'm glad you told me that you didn't understand the way I said it.
Because I was trying to say it in in a way differently than it's always stated.
So let me repeat what I said, which is exactly what you just said with entirely different words.
What happened was we had a soundbite yesterday from some guy that works from eyeball eight TV News in DC in Washington, and he was uh talking about me and and how unreasonable I was uh in being critical of this Iran deal's lax standards, inspecting suspected violations committed by the Iranians.
So we've pointed out it's a 24 day delay from the moment we suspect something until we can get in there, if we get in at all, it's a 24-day delay.
It's written into the deal.
Obama and his acolytes are trying to deny it, but it's in there.
And we've learned it's even more difficult than that.
And this guy at Eyeball 8 News, the eyeball eight news dude, as you said, said, well, wait a minute now.
What's wrong with the Iranians not wanting to be inspected?
If somebody demanded to inspect our nuclear program, we wouldn't let them.
At which point I launched into what I thought was a pretty effective monologue on how this guy doesn't understand the differences in the good guys and the bad guys.
That there is a moral equivalence that set in on the left, that we're no better than Iran.
We're just like Iran.
We're not special.
They're nothing exceptional.
There's no concept that the United States is the good guys and they are the bad guys.
We just equate everybody.
We just equal everything.
And as a means of understand this is, by the way, the Ron Paul rationale for not even doing a deal with Iran.
Ron Paul has said countless times, well, nobody told us that we could or couldn't do nuclear weapons.
And if somebody did tell us we couldn't, we wouldn't listen to them.
So I don't blame the Iranians.
They don't we don't have any right to tell them, especially if we have one, we can't tell other countries they can't.
Now that's a strict libertarian view.
But even at such, I think Ron Paul realizes the U.S. is the good guys.
I went into quite a quite an impassioned monologue at that point, Perry, on the differences in the good guys and bad guys and what the United States stands for, and that we are the defenders of liberty.
But if we're not going to defend our own liberty, then defending other people's liberty is never going to occur to us.
And because we are the leaders of the world, and because we are the lone exception to the human existence on this planet, the United States of America is alone among nations which have been founded on the premise that citizens are free and that the government is subservient to citizens.
There's no other nation that's ever done this.
And as such, we have become the lone outpost and the bright shining beacon of individual freedom and liberty.
Iran is not even in the same ballpark.
Iran's not even in the same universe.
And it is it's incumbent on us to keep the bad guys in the world in check.
Because this government has as a constitutional duty.
These people swear an oath.
Obama, elected officials, they swear an oath.
Defend and protect the Constitution, defend and protect the people.
Well, Iran as a state sponsor of terrorism is a threat to people all over.
For this guy in Washington to equate the United States with Iran is classic.
He's obviously a product of the public education system, which has been dominated by multicultural curriculum, which states that the U.S. not only is it...
not exceptional, if the United States actually may be more guilty of human rights violations than even nations like Iran.
That's what kids today and for the last couple generations have been taught.
I mean, who are we to tell Iran what they can and can't do?
We're the nation of slavery, and we're the nation of women's violations, and we're the nation of whatever other condemnation they want to come up with.
So as far as they're concerned, we don't have any moral right to tell people what they can and can't do.
And I said, it's not a right, it's a responsibility.
The United States has a responsibility to itself, to its people, and to free people the world over.
I mean that that is a foreign language to him when he hears people say things like I just said.
So I said the same thing you did, Perry.
Just in um in in different words.
And now, another obscene profit timeout.
We'll be right back and roll right on.
We will revisit the Major Garrett question with Barack Obama yesterday, and Obama's answer will revisit that.
And the drive-by media reaction, circling the wagons around Obama and attempting to embarrass Major Garrett.
