You know, grab audio soundbite 17 again.
I'm still kind of blown away by that soundbite with Leland Vitter at Fox News and Stephanie Blake Browers or Rawlings Blake, whatever.
That just blows my mind as I continue to think about this.
Greetings and welcome back, folks.
Great to have you with us, El Rushbow, behind the only legitimate golden EIB.
Well, we have two, one for travel.
Anybody else has one of these?
It's not real.
This is it.
A golden EIB microphone.
Happy to have you here.
Telephone number 800-282-2882.
Email address, Elrushbow at EIBnet.com.
What is the problem in Baltimore?
Let's isolate this down.
Let us strip away all the extra.
What's the problem in Baltimore?
No, no, no.
That's a reason.
The fact that it's run by Democrats is the reason.
What is the problem?
The murder rate.
The crime rate.
That's what we're all talking about, right?
Murder rate, crime rate, out of control.
Indict six cops, blame them.
Get everybody in town thinking this is everybody's fixed this now because we, these evil cops who are said to be the problem.
Yeah, we're going to show them.
Yeah.
Through all these years of cops bullying us, yeah.
Fine.
Indict six cops, charge them with whatever.
Quell the riots.
Except maybe the riots don't continue, but the crime is out of control.
So every reporter from Fox News shows up by the name of Leland Vitter.
And he wants to ask a question about the murder rate and the crime rate, the crime problem.
And the mayor converts it into where he's the problem.
And Leland Vittert is not the problem in Baltimore, and Fox News is not the problem in Baltimore by any stretch of the wildest imagination.
Reporters trying to get an answer.
He was trying to prevent a non-responsive answer.
You people may not recognize.
This is what reporters used to do before Obama.
And I'm not trying to be funny.
Some of you may be young enough that you don't really know what reporters used to do.
You may not remember how reporters used to act, but you want to see some of the ways reporters treated Ronald Reagan.
And I don't even want to have to remember the way they treated George W. Bush.
But I'm going to tell you this: after 9-11 or even pre-9-11 in New York City, if Rudolph Giuliani had answered a question from a reporter the way this mayor in Baltimore did, he would be mocked and laughed at and practically run out of town as being a wimp and a coward and unable to take it.
It's just stunning.
And I'm not exaggerating at all, but some of you people, I don't know about it in this audience, but you know as well as I do, there's some young people who have come of age in the last six years who may not really know what reporters do or may not have actually seen them do it in action.
Because reporters have become willing accomplices.
Reporters are PR agents.
Reporters are press agents.
They're not news seekers anymore.
And they certainly don't want to upset any Apple carts.
So here's the soundbite again.
This is a news conference press conference yesterday, late in Baltimore, with the mayor, Stephanie Rawlings Blake, and the Fox News reporter, Leland Vittert, who says, is crime rising in Baltimore because the cops are doing less.
There are a lot of reasons why.
that one of them there's we're examining all arrests are down 50 percent Can you please let her finish?
I'm not 100% sure what you're doing.
This is a very orderly press conference that we normally held.
We don't, I don't, your tactics are.
I'm just asking a question.
You're not.
You're being rude, just as you were before.
So if you'd like to ask a question and give me an opportunity to answer it, we can do this.
Otherwise, I'll end the conference.
You heard right.
You heard a reporter chastise another reporter.
Can you please let her finish?
Can you please just let her finish?
She didn't want to answer anything.
This reporter ought to be drummed out of the business.
Turning on one of his own like this.
This guy was trying to seek answers about the problem, and that's the murder rate, the crime rate.
And she wants to turn it into him being the problem.
And another one of her friend reporters in the press conference tries to make the Fox News reporter the problem.
He's trying to prevent a non-responsive answer.
He's trying to get her to answer something she didn't want to answer because the answer does not help her.
We all know the answer to the question: is crime rising because cops are doing less?
Yes.
Cops are doing less.
Why?
By design.
Because the Obama administration, they've said this, folks, this is not me making it up, which I don't need to do, talking about the left.
And I don't do anyway.
They believe the cops are the problem.
They believe uniformed police automatically trigger criminal behavior in African Americans because they always have.
Because since the days of yore, since the days way back.
And you know, it may have been the case in the past on occasion.
Could well be.
I mean, Bull Conner, I never forget the way old Bull Connor mistreated the people at Zilma.
And he's a police chief, and he turned the dogs on him.
And he turned fire hoses on him.
He was a Democrat, as they all were back then.
All the cops in Dixie were Democrats.
And all the governors and mayors were Democrats, where all the discrimination went on.
They were Democrats.
So I'm not going to say it'd be silly to say the cops are innocent here.
It'd be innocent and stupid to say the cops have never misbehaved where African Americans are concerned.
They clearly have.
In the modern era, pre-civil rights, 1964, even aftermath, it was Democrats that didn't like that.
But in this case, Leland Vitter just trying to get an answer that the mayor doesn't want to answer.
Is the rising crime rate in Baltimore due to less activity by the cops?
Yes.
Arrests are down 50%.
Would you let her answer the question?
She doesn't want to answer that question.
But arrests are down 50%.
That also is by design.
You see, the left believes gets cops out of the way because just their presence, just a uniform, is enough to incite riots.
That's how on edge everybody is.
That's what they tell you.
That's what they've been telling us ever since Ferguson happened.
It's a cops.
So get them out of the way.
Back them off.
Get them out of sight.
That's how you make a peaceful community.
That's how you get the people who live in a community start obeying the law is to get rid of the people that enforce it.
That makes sense, doesn't it?
Get the rules and the enforcers, get them off street, get them out of sight.
That's how you get people to obey the law.
That's what Obama believes.
And not just Obama, Eric Holder, and Loretta Lynch, and every other liberal, every other Democrat.
This is what they believe.
The cops are the props.
So the cops have been moved out of the way, and there aren't any arrests.
And when the cops do show up, as a last resort, they're surrounded by a mob videotaping them on their phones.
I should say video recording them.
There is no tape.
And I want to be, you know, I'm a tech wizard, and I want to be technically wizardly.
Correct.
It's digital.
I understand this.
Don't anybody waste time on that.
Now, Marilyn Mosby, it's a daily caller story.
The office of Baltimore City State Attorney Marilyn Mosby is claiming that her personal Twitter account was hacked and that she did not favorite a racially charged tweet and another one calling the six Baltimore cops thugs.
She says she was hacked.
Just like Anthony Weiner's Twitter account was hacked.
Hmm.
See, what happened is that Megan Kelly of the Fox News Channel, there they are again, did a big story.
I forget the, who was the source?
It was conservative tree, conservative grow a tree, conservative tree union, conservative.
I forget the name of the website.
It's a conservative, conservative site with the tree in the time.
I just don't remember it.
But they prepared a blistering report on the incompetence of Marilyn Mosby.
And Megan Kelly used it on Fox either last night or the night before.
And this caused all kinds of reaction of an unkind nature to Marilyn Mosby.
And she's claiming now that all of these attacks, somebody hacked my Twitter account.
I didn't get it.
One of the things was that she's out there calling the cops thugs.
No, I didn't call them thugs.
Somebody tacked my account and made me say that.
I didn't say that.
Hmm, right.
So she's claiming her personal Twitter account was hacked.
She did not favorite a tweet calling the six Baltimore cops in the Freddie Gray case thugs.
Megan Kelly reported on the denial, but also cast some doubt on the claim.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Daily Caller reported on the two tweets in question, which were posted on May 6th.
One tweet called the officers charged in the Gray case those six thug cops.
The other tweet from a different user praised Mosby's handling of the case and asserted that she infuriates a certain kind of white person.
Later on Wednesday, Megan Kelly reported that Mosby's office is denying that she favored or favorited those two messages.
Both Mosby's official Twitter account and her personal account were hacked.
The prosecutor's office told Megan Kelly.
We do not know how long it's been going on, but we are working with Twitter, Mosby's team said, to get rid of the hacking.
So we are supposed to believe here that undoubtedly racist hackers would get control of Marilyn Mosby's Twitter account and her other personal account for more than three weeks.
And this is all they would do.
After having control for three weeks, all they did was favorite two tweets.
Now, that's kind of wasting a hack.
If you're going to hack somebody's account, I mean, go to town, you're going to hack it and just favorite two tweets.
Mosby tweeted from her personal account on May 23rd that her official government account had been hacked, but she made no reference to a breach of her personal account.
Megan Kelly casts some doubt on the claim, pointing out that the tweets in question were from several weeks ago.
And it would be odd furthermore if the alleged hacker merely favorited two random tweets.
That's my point.
I mean, if you're going to hack, hack, no hacker's going to go in there and just, you know, put a star by two tweets, in which she reportedly is calling the officers thugs.
Anyway, on a lighter note, you know, I've been referencing my use of the Apple Watch.
And it's part of it, of course.
There are snarksters that I hear from.
I mean, no matter what I do, I get snark.
I mean, even friendly snark from people here on the program.
And I know I was on record as saying I wasn't interested in the watch.
I couldn't have cared less about it.
I like big screens.
I didn't understand the marketing.
I remember all that.
But I didn't order the watch, folks.
I'm a powerful, influential member of the media, and a couple of them just showed up.
So, as a tech gizmo cutting-edge kind of guy and a curiosity seeker, I use them.
And I've found that there are productive uses for the watch.
I enjoy using it.
The last thing I care about is the fitness and the exercise stuff because that gets bogus.
I've always been on record as saying exercise is not the way to lose weight.
And all this preoccupation with it as a weight loss regimen is absurd.
Now, if you want to exercise and run and do all that stuff because you feel better, fine.
I don't care.
I'm not a Nazi like other people on the left.
If you want to engage in all this stuff, and if you want to obsess over your blood oxygen rate, you go right ahead.
But don't tell me I have to, and don't tell me that you're losing weight doing so because you're not.
It is impossible to lose weight exercising.
Have you ever seen an offensive lineman for the National Football League?
They exercise all the time.
It's called practice.
How in the world is anybody obese or fat and in the NFL at the same time?
I happen to know the answer.
You know how they do it?
Since steroids are illegal, they have to live in the refrigerator.
You would not believe some of the horror stories offensive linemen, defensive too, have told me that that's how they keep their jobs.
They have to eat their weight on, even with all the physical activity.
Some have to eat 6,000 calories a day.
Some of these offensive and defensive linemen.
I don't mention names, but I met a noseguard for the Steelers way back a long time ago, and he retired.
And I happened to run into him a couple of years after he didn't recognize him.
He was a stick.
He played at 320.
He was at 180.
I finally saw who I said, how in the world did you lose the weight?
He said, I just started eating three meals a day.
I said, what?
Yeah, I just cut back to three meals a day.
And that's when he told me what all it took to stay at 320.
I said, did you do any exercise?
No, I did much less exercise when I retire.
What do you mean?
I'm not going to do the same level of exercise after I retire.
So you went from 320 to 180 cutting back on exercise and cutting back to three meals a day.
Yep.
He did not look like a professional football player.
And I said, now shoot me this.
You weren't juicing?
No, we didn't on this team juice.
He swore up and down.
My point is, it's always been, and it's been in my best interest because these, since I was a kid, everybody's been pointing and shouting exercise.
And I've known common sense, exercise is not enough to lose weight.
And now the watch, you know, I've been talking about how the watch tells me to stand up.
The funny story about how it told me I had reached my goal of burning 500 calories one day while I was eating some Doritos.
I have the screenshots to prove that.
The other day, you know, it tells you to stand up once an hour because that's going to make you healthy.
Oh, yeah.
Just stand up and move around a couple of feet.
The watch taps you at 10 minutes to the hour.
Well, I stood up at 4.45 yesterday afternoon.
I was walking around doing something, wasn't eating.
It was 4-4, walking around doing, might have been going to get a cigar.
Watch taps me, tells me it's time to stand up while I'm walking.
Got the screenshot to prove that.
Anyway, there's more on this, but I have to take a break.
Don't go away.
Anyway, what I was leading up to here is a story in the Washington Post that says, take off that Fitbit.
Exercise alone will not make you lose weight.
The obesity problem has little to do with sedentary lifestyles.
A growing body of scientific evidence shows exercise alone has no effect on weight loss.
This is only common sense.
You know, when I learned it, when I learned that you had to jog five miles to burn off a piece of pie, that's when it clicked for me that you cannot do enough exercise to lose weight.
I'm not going to jog five miles in my life, but I'm going to have pieces of pie.
So I'm stuck.
This is absurd that we got a whole business now burgeoning on trying to get you off your butt in the pretext you're going to lose weight and get healthier.
And I don't even know that they can make that claim.
But if you like it, fine.
Don't misunderstand.
I'm not being critical like the leftist of people that do things they don't like.
I just hate people being lied to and misled.
I hate people with phony expectations, false promises, getting involved in something, being devoted to causes that are fraudulent.
That's what I care.
I hate people being used.
I hate them being insulted.
I hate them being mobilized and used for fraudulent causes like global warming.
It's rooted in my compassion for people.
I hate seeing them be used.
I hate them being exploited and taken for granted.
And that's what Democrats do.
Here's Christine in Ojai, California.
It's great to have you on the program.
I'm really glad you waited.
Hello.
Well, thank you, Rush.
It's always a privilege to be on your show.
Thank you so much.
Yeah, I just wanted to say I thought it was really interesting that you spoke both about health care and the police force today, because I think what's going on in answer to your question about who's to benefit by what's going on in Baltimore, we must not forget that we are in the process of fundamentally transforming America.
And part of that, as you so astutely said before, was to take Obamacare as a sort of front for getting to universal health care.
And I think that what's going on with the turmoils in the different cities and states is comparable in that as long as we demonize and show how ineffective Christine.
Christine, hold your thought.
Do not lose your train of it.
Write it down if you have to because I got to take a brief break.
We'll come back and continue.
I misread the clock.
I thought I had more time than I do.
But don't go away.
Back to Christine in Ojai, California.
Okay, you were saying about the, you're answering my question, who benefits from all this unrest?
Yes.
And I was drawing the analogy that just as you were stating with health care, that Obamacare was just a way to get to universal health care, that I think what's going on with the unrest in the cities is just a ruse to get us to federalizing the police force, which I think is another fundamental transformation that this administration, the liberals, would like to make in this country.
You just said that you believe that the regime has a desire to federalize a police force.
Yes.
Well, now, it's interesting you say that because Obama has to.
Yes.
Obama's actually alluded to this way back, I think.
I'm going to have to look, but I think it was in the first year or two of his administration where he was talking about, might have even been when he was discussing a transformation of America, but he's talking about security and peace and privacy and all this.
And he was talking about the need for a national police force.
And recently.
That was different from the military, different from the military, but had the same objectives, I remember.
Yes.
And recently, Al Sharpton has been out sort of tilling the soil again about this as well.
So that's why my suspicions are up that this is just another power grab to control all of our lives.
And if we make the local police force, the bad guys, the enemy, ineffective to control, they actually cause the problems, then what would be a better thing for the federal government to come along to the rescue?
Well, I think I can't disagree.
I mean, just like if the private sector can't do health care right, then we must.
We must move in with Obamacare in the name of fairness and equality and take it over.
And if local cops actually can't do the job anymore, somebody has to, Obama will say.
And why not us?
Why not the federal government?
Everybody loves the federal government.
Everybody trusts the federal government.
Everybody turns to the federal government.
So why not turn to the federal government for community policing?
And then we got our own national police force without a coup.
The national police force, a couple of the military, usually used to do a coup.
But we're going to put one together here before the coup.
Maybe obviate the need for the coup.
Anyway, Christine, I appreciate the call.
It's a great point.
I'm just thinking here, Obama has already got 25 police departments under the thumb of the federal government.
Cleveland is the most recent.
It was during the campaign of 2008 now that I remember that Obama proposed a civilian security force.
And he compared it to a national version of the military.
Point, I can't use the military for local police forces, but maybe we should create a civilian security force.
He was talking about a national federal police force.
He didn't use that terminology because people would have revolted at that.
But he's thinking maybe not.
But the way they're going about it, they're taking over via these consent decrees from the DOJ.
It's basically blackmail.
You want money from the government to help run your police department?
Well, you've got to accept our guidelines on how you're going to do your jobs.
And they're all accepting them because they're being forced.
St. Louis, Ferguson, Baltimore, Cleveland is the latest.
Oakland, Newark.
I mean, there's 25 of them now that actually have been taken over by guidelines from the DOJ To run these local police departments.
I find it's just all happening right there in front of our faces.
Do you mind?
I was just reading some random notes here.
You know, Ann Coulter has a new book coming out on immigration, and I am going to be interviewing her next week for the next issue of the Limbaugh Letter.
Do you know, try this statistic out: 25% of the population of Mexico has already immigrated to the United States.
When you hear that, do you believe it?
Does it sound no, Rush, come on, it can't be, or does it sound totally believable to you?
Now, 25% of the total population of Mexico has already immigrated, not all legal, obviously, to the United States.
25%, and it's not enough.
Keep this in mind, keep this perspective.
25%, it isn't enough.
25%, and Jorge Ramos and all these other advocates on the left for all this immigration, hey, it's not stopping, man.
We're just going to keep coming.
25% of the population of Mexico.
You can trace the demise of California to this.
You can, you know, Teddy Kennedy, that the reason these guys reinvigorated illegal immigration, and they did, they reinvigorated illegal immigration because we didn't have any immigration, 1924 through 65.
We stopped all immigration so the immigrants then could assimilate and actually become Americans.
And there was an economic boom, and a lot of Democrat voters were leaving the Democrat Party because they were escaping the middle class and the lower middle class.
They were becoming richer, wealthier.
They were becoming more well off.
So, what they decided to do, the Democrats needed, they need a permanent underclass.
They need a never-ending group of people, uneducated, poor, low-skilled, that will forever be proud, subservient dependents of the federal government.
And hence, here comes illegal immigration.
Well, they didn't call it that, of course, but that's what the objective of it was.
Here comes immigration.
And that's the purpose it's serving now, plus other reasons, obviously, as well.
But that's exactly what's going on.
One-fourth of the entire Mexican population has already immigrated.
And you know, the country from which most immigrants are coming to the U.S., this will shock you too.
Unless you already know it's Nigeria.
Yep.
According to the latest stats, is Nigeria.
And there are all kinds of this H-1B visa program, H-1B visa program, what is happening with that is literally outrageous, and it traces back to the Chamber of Commerce.
And this is the kind of immigration that Zuckerberg and his bunch are for.
And the way they're casting it or trying to sell it.
Hey, hey, we're not talking about illegal.
No, no, we need skilled immigrants.
We need trained geniuses.
We need engineers.
We need technologically advanced, educated engineers.
We need those, we need more H-1B visas so that we can allow those who come to this country from foreign countries to be educated to stay here.
So that's the people we want to hire.
Well, that sounds great, doesn't it?
I mean, on the surface, what a great alternative to illegal immigration.
These guys trying to make it sound like they're doing some way, way up here in loftiness.
But here's the secret of it.
They want these H-1B visas expanded and granted because they're not adding employees, they're replacing.
They are firing and laying off current genius, high-tech, high-educated engineers and replacing them with the immigrant H-1B visa engineers who will come here and obviously work for much less.
And this they are not saying.
They're not saying this.
What they're trying to position themselves as doing is, no, we're doing good immigration.
We're getting quality people, educated people, skilled people, people that we need to run our high-tech businesses.
And that much is true.
But what they don't tell you is they're not being added to workforces.
They are replacing people who are earning a lot more than the replacements are being paid.
And in many cases, the people being laid off have to train their replacements.
It's a whole big story that has sprung up out of this.
And it's becoming more and more widespread, and more and more people are getting up to speed on it.
But no matter which way you look at it, either this H-1B visa immigration program or the Democrat Party's immigration program, neither of them are strengthening the country.
Like immigration is thought to have strengthened the country in the past.
And I don't think it's arguable that it has.
But this isn't.
This kind of immigration that we got going on now is not strengthening the country.
It's weakening it.
And never forget that.
And when you hear the advocates for it continue to talk about how wonderful it is, it's great for America.
We're a nation of immigrants, not this kind.
America is a great country, and it was strengthened by virtue of immigration, but you can't say that that is happening now.
Anyway, I got to take another time out, my friends, but hang in there, be tough, because we have much more straight ahead.
Don't go away.
Titles, Adios America.
That's Coulter's new book, Adios America, the left's plan to turn our country into a third world hellhole.
That's what it is.
Adios America.
Anyway, ladies and gentlemen, Mahindra Tractor is one of our great sponsors here at the EIB network.
And yesterday, one of the best tractors they make, an Emacs 22, was awarded to one of our listeners, a very excited, retired U.S. Army veteran.
Now, the sweepstakes did not occur here on the radio.
It occurred at rushlimbaugh.com.
And some of the sponsors, some of the spots on the program alerted people to the contest that was being run on the website.
And we told everybody that the prize, the tractor, be awarded around Memorial Day and that only people who have served or are on active duty in the U.S. military could qualify to enter to receive this gift from us here at the EIB network and Mahindra Tractor.
We had tens of thousands of entries, people trying to win this shiny, it's really their top of the line tractor.
And the winner is Mr. Shep Snow of Idaho.
He's the winner.
He's the recipient.
He served 28 years in the U.S. Army.
His wife has served our country with a 20-year tenure in the U.S. Navy.
And they have a son and a daughter, both of them active members in the U.S. military as well.
I mean, they're truly a military family.
And the sweepstakes promotion identified that a contest was going on, and it told people how to enter and what they had to be to qualify.
And it was basically active duty or retired.
And from there, Mahindra took charge and determined the winner.
And I was sure that I'd announce the winner here on the radio as opposed to just on the website.
And so it's, again, Mr. Shep Snow of Idaho, 28 years in the U.S. Army, his wife, 20 years in the U.S. Navy.
George in Woodbridge, Illinois, Woodridge, Illinois.
Great to have you, sir.
Hello.
Mega Diddles, Rush.
How are you?
Very well.
Thanks.
You know, Rush, you know, I keep hearing about the Republicans.
If they're really serious about winning and they're really serious about taking this country in the right direction, you know, they should try and repeal this Obamacare.
By doing that, they should every day be on television telling what it took to get this thing passed with all the lies and deception.
I mean, how could anything like this be passed?
How it had to be passed?
Plus, you know, they should be, Gruber should be one of the main people that Republicans should be like, I don't know.
I'm just so damn frustrated with this.
Everybody is George because, you know, George, you know, I mean, you can read, you listen to me, you watch TV.
Have you heard the Republicans say that they're going to do what you want them?
Yeah, but Rush, they were all jumping on the bandwagon.
How are they going to repeal all this?
Oh, yeah, they did during the campaign.
And before the campaign, oh, yeah, in the first two years, oh, yeah, they ran for office saying repeal, repeal, repeal.
Some of them said repeal and replace.
Some were honest.
Some said it wasn't going to be a full-fledged repeal.
But most of them said, oh, yeah, we're going to repeal it.
And now they're scared to death of winning.
Now they're scared to death politically that the Supreme Court's going to take away Obama subsidies because they think the first thing they're going to have to do is make sure they don't go away.
Or they think they're dead meat in 2016.
The Republican Party believes the welfare state elects presidents, folks.
If I could just boil it down to its bare essence, that has to be what they believe.
They believe that the president of the United States in this era is elected by the welfare state, which does comprise a lot of people.
I mean, we're close to 50% of the population get a check.
How many of it all is technical welfare or not, but that's what they believe.
They take their base for granted, and they're trying to convince these others that they're going to be okay.
They're not going to hurt them, i.e., the welfare state.
That's the way it appears to me.
That's it, folks.
Sadly, out of time.
Fastest three hours in media once again proving to be just that.
But don't fret.
Hang in there be tough.
We never really are finished.
We just take long breaks here, 21 hours, and we will be right back.
