Welcome to today's edition of the Rush 24-7 podcast.
Greetings, my friends.
How are you?
I hope your weekend was fabulous.
Mine sucked.
I lost my golf game.
I have had an Ian Baker Finch moment.
I've totally lost my golf game.
You stick to the issues, crowd people ought to be happy about that.
That means should obviously be talking about it less.
Literally lost the golf game.
I cannot put the club on the ball.
Hand-eye coordination, something's gone.
Don't know what it was, frustrating.
But I mean, the weekend was fine other than that, but I mean, that's not pleasant to uh to experience.
And the game is so microscopic.
You know, the thing I'm doing wrong, whatever it is, I'll guarantee you it's within microscopic portions of an inch, either in the swing plane or some such thing.
Anyway, I will uh I'll work on it, but you never know.
You get it, but look at Tiger.
I mean, everybody loses their game.
Well, not everybody does, but it doesn't take much.
And I lost mine.
It is gone.
Anyway, but I'm still here, and I'm revved and ready, folks, and we are loaded today.
Happy to have you here.
Telephone numbers 800 28282 and the email address, El Rushbo at EIB net.com.
One of the things that I have got to call it a theme.
Um rolling themes on this program.
There are umbrella items under which fall a number of oh, stories and sub-ideas, subtopics, if you will.
One of the themes of this program for its duration since we started, and actually predating the this program going back to when I was in Sacramento, has been that the American left and the Democrat Party are engaged in a an escalating,
and it has been escalating year after year after year, attack on the institutions and the traditions that have defined and made American greatness, not just political institutions, but social institutions and traditions and cultural institutions and traditions, and it's not stopped.
And every so often there is a new line of attack.
Some of the items that are attacked and assaulted are huge, like marriage.
Marriage is an institution and tradition that has been in the crosshairs of the American left for as long as they have had a hatred of religion.
And they've done they have made repeated, consistent efforts to undermine the tradition of marriage, and they've succeeded.
They're well on their way to rendering the whole point of marriage new, different, and meaningless.
As it relates to the primary reason it even came into existence.
There are many things like this that the left is a religion of as a as a giant topic and things that come underneath it, such as gay marriage.
Speaking speaking, I've got an idea.
I thought of something over the weekend.
Because the left is not through promoting gay marriage.
Now, what has happened is that the resistance to gay rights and gay marriage is practically gone.
So they've had to come up with a new substitute for it in order to keep the protest meme or narrative alive.
And that has resulted in now a major push for equality and fairness and justice for lesbians, gays, and transgenders and bisexual people.
Since gay marriage is a fate accompli, no matter what the Supreme Court says, it's a fate accompli.
Up next, transgenders.
They will be the next aggrieved victimhood or group of victims that will require attention, and the majority will need to be attacked as discriminatory and mean in order to pave the way for The normalcy of the transgendered status of human beings.
That's just a little aside.
In fact, we've already seen this.
But here is an idea I've got, because they're not through.
I mean, they never give up.
To them, nothing is ever mission accomplished.
Because there's always going to be some holdouts.
There's always going to be some people that oppose normalizing gay rights and agreeing to the concept of gay marriage and redefining it.
There's always going to be holdouts.
There will always be religious people that own businesses that will refuse to serve or do business with people promoting activity that violate, say someone's religious practices.
So to date, we've had gay activist groups target bakeries and photography stores and similar type things in order to prove discrimination, to show a bias, and to beat down opposition.
Well, one of the things we've learned recently, and I'm frankly, I'm I'm a little bit unpleasantly surprised by this, that so many people on the left have agreed with me.
We go out of our way to not offend Muslims, and we chastise anybody who does anything along the lines of say drawing cartoon characters of the Prophet Muhammad, right?
We don't permit that.
We frown on that, and we condemn anybody that does that because why?
Well, there's no need to provoke millions and millions of Islam Islamic people, Muslims, who are not terrorists, why do it?
And anybody who engages in a cartoon rendering of the Prophet Muhammad is chastised and ripped to shreds and criticized because we dare not offend our Muslim brothers and sisters.
And I pointed out the other day, well, then should we maybe stop flouting and flaunting gay marriage?
Because gay marriage is really disapproved in Islam.
Gay marriage homosexual behavior is not tolerated, it is not permitted, and it is punished severely when it is caught, when it's spied.
And yet in American media, all over the place, we are celebrating gay marriage, we are flaunting gay marriage, and I ask, does this not also offend Muslims?
Where do we draw the line?
I asked poignantly, in what aspects of Islam we will respect and others we will ignore.
When it comes to pictures of the cartoon drawings of the Prophet, we will absolutely obey the demands of militant Islam, and we will not only refrain from drawing cartoons, we will condemn and seek to destroy anybody who does.
But MSNBC, CNN, Time Magazine, the New York Times, whatever, they can readily happily promote gay marriage and gay rights all day long, and the Muslims are supposed to shut up about it.
Why, on the one hand, do we respect their wishes when it comes to cartoon renderings of the Prophet Muhammad and ignore their wishes and ignore what they claim upsets them and angers them when it comes to gay marriage?
Therefore, I have an idea.
I know that many of you out there run businesses that if a gay couple, a married gay couple came in and asked for your service, you would deny it on the basis that you disapprove.
Your religion does not sanction the approval of gay marriage.
My idea for you is quite simple.
Don't use that as the excuse anymore.
Let's say that you own the ABC wedding cake bakery.
The only thing you do is you bake wedding cakes.
And as such, militant gay activists target your bakery.
They're going to take you out, they're going to take you down.
They're going to walk in there, they're going to tell you they're going to get married, and of all the bakeries in the world, yours has been recommended to them because that's all you do.
Therefore, you must be better than anybody Else at baking wedding cakes.
Instead of telling the gay couple that you refuse to bake the cake for their wedding because you disapprove of homosexuality, you should now say you are not going to bake a cake for the gay wedding because you fear Muslim backlash.
Or due to your respect of Islam, you cannot bake a cake for a gay wedding.
See how that flies.
That means it might, since the left is agreeing with me, but a bunch of people on the left have gone on TV, and I hate to say this.
You know, Limbo's got a point.
We do flaunt gay marriage at them.
Wow.
And they do just, wow, that's a good point.
I mean, we readily agree not to do the thing with the prophet and the pictures and the cartoons, but gay marriage, yeah, we're kind of in their face on that.
Well, just make a note.
Any of you small business owners think you're going to get a visit from a gay couple asking you for your product or service at a gay wedding.
Just say, no, no, no, we refuse because of our respect of Islam.
We can't.
Don't say anything about your religion.
Don't say anything about it's your religion that prevents you from doing it.
Say it's Islam.
You respect Islam.
Or you're afraid of Islam backlash.
What Muslim backlash?
See how that flies.
Well, it's just an idea.
Hope it works.
Now the tradition and institution.
The next one under assault.
I know you're gonna laugh.
But don't because it's in the Washington Post.
Here's the headline flowers may be nice for mom, but they are terrible for Mother Nature.
Jennifer Grayson, an environmental journalist, is writing unlatched a book about the breastfeeding controversy and has a piece in the Washington Post saying we need to get rid of the entire industry of flowers on Valentine's Day and for Mother's Day or any other occasion, because flowers are contributing to climate change.
How's this as a gesture of love for the woman who bore you?
This is how the story begins.
And for those of you in Rio Linda, it doesn't mean bored, this is let me reread this.
How's this as a gesture of love for the woman who gave birth to you?
Chop off the reproductive organ of a plant and send it to your mom in a box tied up with a pretty bow.
Because that's what you're doing.
You're mutilating a flower.
You are chopping off its reproductive organ.
Imagine if that happened to you, and then you are wrapping that in a bow and putting it in a box and sending it to your mom.
It's a weird botanical twist on the van Gogh, woo a girl with a severed ear legend.
It's what millions of us will compulsely do to mark Mother's Day, the story ran late last week.
This year, we will spend a collective 2.4 billion dollars to buy mom flowers.
And she says, I understand the appeal.
I'm a mother of two little girls, and my heart melts any time they surprise me with a handful of dirt clumped dandelions from the backyard.
But while giving flowers may seem like a good way to show how much you love your mom, it is a terrible idea if you care about Mother Earth.
Now you might think, come on, Rush, this is never gonna get any traction.
That's what if that's what everybody said about everything the left is succeeding in changing, altering, or destroying.
How many of you, ten years ago, let's go back three years when Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Joe Biden, every prominent Democrat was opposed to gay marriage.
Go back ten years.
How many of you ever thought that marriage would someday successfully be defined and be considered cool and hip between two people of the same sex?
When did you think that that would become that the majority of the American people, at least in certain polling data produced, Supports that.
You remember the efforts that the Sierra Club made to go after SUVs.
And those efforts are still underway.
Some of the crackpot, most crackpot, cockamamy things, that when the left makes a move on them, everybody laughs and thinks they're cooks and wackos and extremists.
They stick with it.
Time passes and all of a sudden becomes reality.
And here's the first marker thrown down on flowers.
Look, they're going after beef.
They've been going after beef and McDonald's for I don't know how long.
On the premise of global warming, and they keep inching closer, folks.
They are stigmatizing beef eating, stigmatizing beef production.
And there's no pushback.
Nobody stands up and tells them to shut up.
Nobody tells them to mind their own business.
They just keep inching forward.
They don't do so with any time frame or time demand limit.
If it takes them 15 years to get it done, so be it.
They don't ever consider failure.
If they haven't succeeded in two years, they never drop it.
Move on to something else, they keep plugging away.
This year we will spend a collective $2.4 billion to buy mom flowers.
I understand the appeal, but it's a terrible idea if you care about Mother Earth.
The truth is that most flowers are organic only in the truest sense of the word, highly perishable and thus susceptible to decay, as well as vermin and disease.
Up to 80% of the five and a half billion stems of flowers sold in the U.S. every year are imported.
Of those, 93% are grown thousands of miles away in production greenhouses in Colombia or Ecuador.
Takes an awful lot of energy and artificial tinkering to keep those flowers fresh.
First, they're saturated with a toxic cocktail of chemicals, many of which have been restricted or banned outright in the U.S. and Europe.
To preserve the blooms, once they're cut, they're stored in energy guzzling refrigerated warehouses, flown via cargo plane to the United States, brought to yet another refrigerated warehouse to await distribution, and just attack on a bit more to the carbon footprint.
They are shipped via refrigerated truck to your mom or to the refrigerated display case at the supermarket or florist.
And in the cellophane ramp, those annoying little plastic stem tubes and the bouquets fate a week later emitting methane in a landfill.
And you may have gotten a gift with a bigger carbon footprint than if you'd driven four hours in a Hummer to visit your mom in person.
So there you have it, the first marker thrown down.
In the Washington Post.
Flowers for Mother's Day is a waste.
It is damaging.
It's leading to climate change and global warming, and I know everybody's just gonna laugh.
What a bunch of crackpots, what a bunch of they're never gonna do anything on this.
And you might not hear anything about this till next Mother's Day.
You might not hear about this for two years, but I'll guarantee you.
The marker's been thrown down.
This will become part of the mix to persuade you and anybody else they can persuade to support their idiocy in global warming, climate change, and get you to abandon at the root of this, the real root of this anti-capitalism, folks.
There's just too much money being made, too much money being spent, blah, blah, blah.
Got quick time out back after this.
Oh, yeah, there's all kinds of stuff out there.
I just wanted to get to this rose business, this flowers business, because folks, it's typical.
You may not think it's the most important thing happening out there, but over 27 years, it's little things like this that people ignore and pay no attention to that allows the leftists to creep and creep and creep, and then one day we wake up and they have destroyed something.
In the process of taking it over.
Other things, yeah, Michelle Obama.
I'm gonna tell you something.
I just they're just getting started with this stuff, folks.
There are 21 months to go.
And I have been worried to death that this is all the Obama Presidency.
I've been worried about it since before he was inaugurated.
I have been worried that this is going to lead to racial strife, unlike any that we who are alive today remember.
And she is continuing that, you know, the story we had on what she said dedicating the museum, the new Whitney Museum, that young blacks, people that look like her just aren't welcome.
She's on a roll now.
That was just the starter.
She is continuing in university commencement speeches, so we'll have that.
Gary Myers, New York Daily News, says NFL sources have told him Brady will be suspended.
Nobody knows for how long.
But that it will be happening sometime this week.
And there's all kinds of other things out there, too.
Just setting the table, getting ready for a launch right after this.
I have in my formerly nicotine stained fingers yet another story that you probably.
My guess is you haven't heard about this one either.
It's also in the Washington Post, and it also comes underneath the umbrella of America is unfair and racist and unequal, and therefore needs to be turned totally upside down and transformed because America is institutionally unjust.
And by the way, this happens to be, I am convinced, the motivating factor behind the Obama administration.
Michelle Obama, by the way, I could not handle being a conservative one day.
Would you all agree with me if I said that the media the Obamas get is basically slobberingly fawning?
The media will not take and hold the Obamas into account for anything, whatever they do, and excuses made for it.
They have made a mockery.
Of the travel and entertainment budget that the president gets.
They have made a mockery of so much.
They have done it willingly and knowingly.
The media doesn't call them on it.
Media doesn't call them on anything, and Michelle Obama's running around talking about how she's so upset she could not believe what happened on the cover of uh what was it, the New Yorker or New York magazine, which uh New Yorker, which I commented on at the time.
And it was a parody cover that was making fun of people that make fun of them.
She didn't even see that.
There's no sense of humor.
Okay, well, try this.
This is from the monkey cage section of the of the Washington Post.
Blacks die sooner than whites.
How many votes has this cost Democrats?
Says an honest to God story.
Dean Robinson.
Black people in the U.S. continue to be sicker and die sooner than whites.
Blacks suffer from excess mortality, that is black deaths that would not have occurred had the death rate among blacks been the same as that among whites.
So we have here, as now documented in the Washington Post, yet another terrible inequity that is distinctly American.
The death rate inequality.
So now we even need quotas when it comes to the death rate.
But then this guy goes on to talk about what the biggest practical application of this news is and the biggest problem it portends.
What are the political consequences of excess mortality among blacks?
A new article by Javier Rodriguez, Arlene Geronimus, and John Bound and Danny Dorling, Black Lives Matter, Different Mortality, and the Racial Composition of the U.S. electorate, 1970 to 2004, answers the question.
It finds that excess mortality among blacks reduces their voting power significantly, perhaps costing Democrat candidates several elections.
Another terrible inequality, distinctly American, traced right back to our founding, the death rate inequality.
The black death rate, together with the black rate of incarceration, is costing the Democrats 15% of the vote.
According to this, from the article, the authors of this study, Rodriguez And colleagues estimate that combining excess mortality with the consequences of felon disenfranchisement.
They find that about one in seven blacks, 15%, did not have the opportunity to vote in 2004 for one of these two reasons.
Isn't that terrible?
Democrats lost 50.
This is all that matters, or the number one reality from the death rate inequality is the votes it cost the Democrat Party.
Democrats lost 15% of their voters because they were either dead or in jail.
I hold on.
I know for I hear what you're shouting at your radio.
Hang on, I'm getting there.
I'm gonna get there.
It's real simple.
If you just wait for me, I know what you're all shed.
The giant A word.
Hang in there and be tough.
No wonder Obama and Hillary and George Soros want to empty the prisons.
No wonder they want to open the borders.
Their number one constituency group is unfairly dying prematurely and unfairly incarcerated as felons, which means they can't vote.
As the article basically sums up at the bottom, we have to control our racist police and let more blacks out of prison in order to save our democracy.
And I'm not making this up.
Just like an attack on roses and flowers for Mother's Day.
How's that hurting anybody?
What in the world?
I don't care if greeting card companies and flower companies created Mother's Day.
It doesn't matter.
It's a time-honored tradition.
Everybody enjoys it.
It doesn't harm anybody.
Yes, it does, Rush.
What about the people who don't have mothers?
What do you mean?
What about the people that don't have mothers?
Everybody's got a mother.
Well, yeah, but maybe some don't know it.
Doesn't matter.
Everybody has a mother.
It's one thing you can't get past.
No matter what you do with marriage, no matter what you do and all these things and decimate all these institutions, the one thing you can't deny is everybody has a mother and father.
No matter what else you try to create.
So trying to attack Mother's Day, Flowers, it's an American institution, it's under assault.
And now the black death rate is apparently much higher than the white death rate.
That's the fault of America.
Because of racist cops, they story says, and unfair incarceration.
And the talking point is what it costs the Democrat Party, the Washington Post.
Are that when they say black lives matter?
Is what they really mean black votes matter?
Is that all black people represented the Democrat Party?
How the hell do you come up with these statistics and have as your number one concern the fact that the Democrat Party's losing votes and maybe losing elections?
I would love for every African American in the country to hear this.
Do you realize the Democrats are concerned about the unequal death rate in your population?
Do you know why?
They're losing votes.
That's all.
That's why they're opening the southern border and letting a wave of uneducated, ill-equipped, and unskilled people in because you people aren't living long enough.
And that's why they want to let felons out of jail.
That's why they want to open jails because they're losing out on votes.
That's all you mean to them.
But here's the dirty little secret that dare not be mentioned in this story.
I have a story that's not even related to this.
It's ironically about ESPN and how they are destroying sports by virtue of the people they hire.
It's by a guy named Mike Adams, who has a PHD in criminology.
And he's his primary point in this story, he calls ESPN the enlightened socialist progressive network.
And his primary point is that there's a this, well, not his prime, but one of the major points is there's a reason why you hear so many class warfare sermons from TV sports casters, and that is this.
Many TV sports casters used to be academically unqualified athletes who had to major in sociology in order to survive academically so they could remain eligible to play football or basketball.
And when they had to major in sociology, a relatively easy major, they were treated to what?
The liberal curriculum in sociology.
They come out of school as uh as student athletes learning everything the liberals believe sociologically, and of course you can piece together what all those elements are.
They play their sport, ESPN ends up hiring a bunch of them, and that's how you end up converting ESPN from what was a sports network to another arm of the leftist media.
But in this story is this interesting fact.
37% of aborted babies are black.
In fact, more blacks are aborted every week.
Are you listening to this?
More blacks are aborted every week than have been lynched in the entire history of the United States of America.
You didn't get that?
37% of aborted babies are black.
The number per year is 1.3 million babies aborted.
37% of them are black.
In fact, more blacks are aborted every week than have been lynched in the entire history of the country.
80% of all crime is intraracial.
In other words, about four out of five crimes committed by a black citizen are committed against another black citizen.
Of the remaining 20% of crimes that are interracial, there are far more black on white crimes than white on black crimes.
Just about every negative social outcome is directly and strongly related to fatherlessness.
Whether you're talking about unemployment, illiteracy, crime, drug dependency, the absence of a father is a principal driving factor.
Again, Mike Adams, PhD criminology.
Imagine if college athletes studied legitimate academic disciplines like economics.
Later they could seek employment as educated sports casters performing a legitimate public service.
Instead of legitimizing the mobs, they could teach the masses the obvious.
Ignorance is the problem, and basic economic education is the answer, according to Adams.
One of his reasons for writing this is how come so many sportscasters on ESPN and elsewhere support the Crips and Gog Crips and Bloods and the whole gang, lionize it, celebrate it, and talk about it's because that was their education in college as student athletes.
But anyway, back to the main point.
So the Washington Post has a story by Dean Robinson, and they're wringing their hands out there over the death rate, inequality in the U.S., and how many votes it's costing the Democrat Party.
Black people in the U.S. continue to be sicker and die sooner than whites.
Blacks suffer from excess mortality.
Black deaths that would have not occurred had the death rate among blacks been the same as among whites.
So it's yet another black mark on America.
Death rate inequality.
And in this story, it's because of the cops killing unjustly so many young black men and America incarcerated.
No, no, no.
No, no, no, no, that's not why.
If the premise is even true here.
The answer is abortion.
The Democrat Party is aborting itself, and this is a claim long made on this program.
1.3 million abortions.
There's no doubt, folks, why the Democrats are so pro-amnesty, pro-open borders.
They are aborting their own future voters.
37% of all aborted babies are black.
37% of 1.3 million a year.
More blacks aborted every week than have been lynched in the entire history of the U.S. So, what do we have today?
An attack on Mother's Day.
It's destroying the planet.
It's killing unnecessarily, flowers, chopping off their reproductive organs.
It's causing pain.
It's so unnecessary.
And now America is flawed again, revealed to be flawed and unjust and unfair once again because the black death rate is so much higher than the white death rate.
And the attacks just keep on coming.
Back after this, folks.
So I get this note from a friend of mine, who is not the target reader for the story on how the uh inequality in black deaths is costing the Democrat Party votes.
This guy sends me a note wait, wait, wait, wait, that doesn't make sense.
The Democrats get 92%, 93% of the black vote every election.
How many work in JFK have been elected?
How can a Obama do it?
What do you mean black votes are good?
I said, you don't misunderstand.
That's just the hook.
The idea that the Democrat Party's losing votes because of the inequality in black death rates, that's just a hook.
That's the purpose of that is to is to further convince African Americans that the country has been stacked against them from the first days of its founding.
The real purpose of the story is to grease the skids and further the premise that America is unjust and needs to be transformed and rewired and rebuilt, and that we've got to get rid of all of these Republicans.
And we've got to change all these police departments.
Because they are killing all these black people.
And since black people love the Democrat Party, if you throw in this little bit about the Democrat Party being hurt by this, that's just, you know, icing on the cake.
That's not the real point of the story.
An intelligent reader's not supposed to ask.
Wait a minute.
Black death rate inequality is costing the Democrat Party black votes?
How in the hell is that possible?
It's not costing the Democrat Party black votes.
Of course, from the Democrats' perspective, they don't think they should ever lose an election.
And when they do, there's always been fraud or something went wrong because in a true just world in election, they would never lose.
There has to be some trick, and this also feeds that myth.
But as usual, it's Democrat Party policies responsible for the death rate inequality, mainly abortion.
It's funny how that doesn't get mentioned in this story, isn't it?
We also have ongoing news about the Clinton Crime Family Foundation.
It is, you know, folks, it's it's somewhat amazing that this story continues to build.
This story continues to feature new revelations that are not flattering to either Bill or Hillary.
And it's obvious to me now there's much more going on with this story than just the media doing it now to get it out of the way.
So that all of this is forgotten by the time we get to the actual primaries and then the election.
When all of this crime family foundation started, that was the smart money theory.
That this was a big, big albatross out there, and the media had to get it out of the way, and they couldn't ignore it.
So let's go do it now.
When it, you know, any pain that it causes, any damage that results can be fixed over time, rather than release the details of this story closer to the election.
But it just keeps growing.
So there's more going on here than just a media effort to get this story out of the way.
Sit tight.
We be right back.
I know, I know, if dead Democrats can't vote, and how did how did JFK win in 1960?
But the real hook of this story is to make sure that Obama and the Democrats double down on their efforts to crack down on the cops and empty the prisons.
That's what the purpose of this story is.
I mean, this story goes on to even imply that Al Gore would have won the presidency twice if it hadn't been for death inequality in the African American population.
Export Selection
