Welcome to today's edition of the Rush 247 Podcast.
Greetings, my good friends, and welcome to the EIB Network and the Rush Limbaugh program here on Christmas Week.
That's right, my friends, we are here.
You may be on the way over the hills and dales to wherever you're headed.
You may be where you were headed.
You may already be there.
And I'm here.
It doesn't matter where I'm him when here is here, as I'm here and it doesn't matter where that is.
We'll be here today and tomorrow, ladies and gentlemen, to help get you where you are going.
Our telephone number, if you want to be on the program today, 800 282-2882, the email address L Rushbow at EIB net.com.
President Obama was on a golf course when he was told about the two New York City police officers who were murdered, assassinated, gunned down in cold blood while sitting in their police cruiser.
And according to reports, President went back to the golf course after calling the New York City police commissioner and the mayor and whoever else to express his heartfelt condolences.
I guess playing golf is how Mr. Obama deals with heartbreak and distress.
Other people just riot and loot.
But Obama heads back to the well, heads back to the golf course.
But I take it back.
It didn't just head back to the golf course.
He actually did condemn the New York police killings.
And in doing so, he called for patient dialogue.
Yes, my friends, in a statement on Saturday night, unconditionally, unconditionally means there's no excuse for it, unconditionally, no matter what you tell me, I'm still going to condemn it.
After condemning the shooting deaths of the two New York City police officers, the president said two brave men won't be going home to their loved ones tonight, and for that there is no justification.
The officers who serve and protect our communities risk their own safety for hours every single day.
They deserve our respect and gratitude every single day.
He went on to ask for a rejection of violence and words that harm.
Well, there's a place he might want to start then.
And that would be in his own house.
I have a great story here found on Ricochet.
It is a uh it's it's a website by a man named Stephen Miller, and it's called The Extraordinary Life of Barack Obama's Imaginary Son.
In his life, Obama's imaginary son has been shot at, concussed out of football, his imaginary son has been racially profiled, yet Obama's imaginary son keeps picking himself up and carrying on.
Obama's imaginary son should be an example to us all.
No matter what kind of imaginary circumstances we find ourselves in, we can continue on with our imaginary lives because Obama's imaginary son is showing us how.
President Obama should also look inward and ask why his imaginary son continues to put himself in these situations.
Perhaps it's also his own failings as an imaginary parent.
The President of the United States seems much more comfortable citing the struggles of his imaginary son than the privileged successes of his real daughters.
In truth, Obama's son would have attended private school in Chicago, just like his daughters.
He would then be attending Sidwell, private school in D.C., just like his real daughters.
Obama's imaginary son would get his pick of any college in the world, just like his real daughters.
His imaginary son would then go on to any career he chose in medicine, law, Hollywood, Wall Street, or owning an NFL team, not playing on a game or on a team, just like his real daughters.
But that doesn't fit the divisive racial narrative, so Obama's imaginary son continues to live the hard-knock life.
And Obama's imaginary son lives with another imaginary Obama character called Mr. Straw Man.
Mr. Straw Man.
Between Obama's imaginary son and Obama's Mr. Straw Man, his good friend.
You know who Mr. Strawman is.
Mr. Strawman is the guy that talks to every economist from both sides of the aisle and concludes that all of them agree with Obama.
Or the straw man is a guy who is claiming to say things that nobody's actually said.
The extraordinary life of Barack Obama's imaginary son.
And now the president has called for patient dialogue.
Not dialogue with patients in the hospital.
Although that might help.
But patient as then, let's not hurry this.
Let's sit down and let's be deliberate and open patient dialogue.
You know who he wants dialogue between?
I mean, well, what is dialogue?
My friend Andy McCarthy had a really robust piece on this Saturday national review.
Maybe it was yesterday, Saturday or Sunday National Review Online.
What is dialogue?
Dialogue is a conversation between two legitimate sides that have opposing views.
Sit down and you talk about it.
But the key to dialogue is that both sides are legitimate.
What we supposed to have dialogue with the cop killers.
How are they legitimate?
But that's what Obama's saying.
Patient dialogue with who?
The cops are supposed to sit down with who.
I don't care.
Folks, look at despite all the protestations and all the people literally throwing their hands up and saying, not me, not me, instead of don't shoot, don't shoot.
They're all throwing their hands.
Not me, not me.
They've all got blood on their hands.
The mayor of New York City, blood on his hands.
The Reverend Al Sharpton, blood on his hands.
Everybody who has encouraged this kind of behavior on the part of average citizens against the cops, and we can't deny that it's been happening in social media.
It's been happening on television.
Every one of these people has blood on their hands.
Let's review, shall we?
According to President Obama, white cops are racists.
We knew this from the first term when his buddy Skip Gates was arrested by that idiot cop or dumb cop wherever he was in Cambridge.
We've also been told by President Obama, oh, I'm just going to remind you what he said.
You might be discomforted by this, but the president told us that surgeons are actually butchers who just do unnecessary work for the money.
A tonsolectomy here and amputation there, as a means of justifying himself running America's health care system because the surgeons, well, they're out there doing unnecessary things.
Remember that.
Shop owners, such as the woman in Ferguson, Missouri, whose little cake store was leavened, uh was leavened and destroyed, leveled and destroyed in looting the aftermath of the grand jury decision of Ferguson.
Shop owners didn't build their businesses.
You didn't build that.
You did not build it.
Elizabeth Warren's out telling them that the people who built their businesses really didn't.
The president Elizabeth Warren, anybody else, the Democrat Party is out telling everybody to listen that the successful really aren't successful, that they really didn't do it.
That the successful are just clever parasites living off of thievery, trickery, or what other kind of ill-gotten means in order to screw people out of their money.
But they didn't build that.
Their businesses would not have been possible without the hard work of the victims who are their customers.
People have been hearing this kind of thing for six years, folks.
And the kind of people we're talking about it have believed it for six years.
Police officers, doctors, shops, they're not real.
America's not really made up of wholesome families, and it's really not made up of happy people, and it's really not made up of idyllic scenes, because life in America is torture, and life in America is stress.
Life in America is one trauma and one crisis and chaos after chaos.
We are told this.
And we are told who's responsible for it.
The Koch brothers, Mitt Romney, me, talk radio, Fox News.
Anybody successful is blamed for the misery and unhappiness of everybody else.
Where is the hope in that kind of change?
Where is the change in that kind of hope?
There isn't any hope in Barack Obama's agenda.
There is deceit and there is revenge.
There is they bring a knife, we bring a gun.
Don't I remember Obama lecturing his buddies on that one, Mr. Snerdley?
Talking to his union buddies back during the early days at Tea Party, they bring a knife, we bring a gun.
That's the Chicago way.
They put one of ours in the hospital, we put one of theirs in the morgue.
Chicago way.
Good people are being hurt by this agenda.
Good people are being hurt by liberal.
And now we're told that we need to have dialogue, patient dialogue.
As though there are two sides to this story.
Two legitimate sides.
And to the people we're talking about, this is exactly what's wrong in the country.
There are.
And there is legitimacy on the side of the guy who killed the two cops.
There was another cop killed or attempted to be killed, one in Florida, was killed.
And there were designs on another cop in the Bronx.
That one didn't come off.
And we're told that we need to have patient dialogue here.
As though yeah, and before that, we're nation of cowards.
Remember that?
Eric Holder, we're a nation of cowards because we don't have the guts to honestly talk about race, i.e.
dialogue when that's all we do anymore.
The national conversation is consumed by race.
How many Americans do you think went to vote in November of 2008 and voted for Barack Obama for one reason?
It's African American, and they hoped that that change would signal the end of racism because they hoped that the very act of this horrible, unjust, an immoral country finally electing an African American would finally put the notion that we still are deeply racist behind us and demonstrate that we're not.
How many people do you think voted for Obama for that one reason?
I would say enough to get him elected.
And of course, all that's happened is things have gotten worse.
And for the NYPD, folks, uh it isn't over.
We are all headed in an accelerated pace for anarchy.
That is where all of this is headed.
The primary agents of this anarchy are militant Islamists, militant civil rights coalition types, the new Black Panther Party and ancillaries.
And who are their enablers?
The Democrat Party and the American left.
From college professors to pop culture false idols to elected Democrats and, of course, the media.
The left has and is, I believe, and I really believe this, and I'm not using a single word for exaggeration purposes.
I really believe that college professors, these pop culture false idols, elected Democrats, the media, literally are making their followers, i.e.
base voters, insane with rage and anger.
I don't think...
there is any other conclusion.
Average ordinary Americans who otherwise just would be going about their lives as challenging as that is on a daily basis without all of this, are being converted into angry, filled with rage beyond reason.
Mobs.
People are not born this way.
They are trained, they are educated, they're manipulated, they are conditioned.
Hate takes a lot of effort.
Love doesn't.
You either love somebody or you don't.
You can't go out and fall to love just because you want to, and you can't fall out of it because you want to.
Otherwise, there wouldn't be any love songs.
But hate, that's easy.
Much easier than love.
And a lot of people think it's the other way around.
A lot of people think that hate is harder because it takes applied effort.
And that love, when it's positive, isn't that love, real love?
I mean, beyond familial love, the love of bond, that's one thing, but love of others.
That's much tougher than hating them.
Hate can be manipulated, love can't.
Well, well, well, well, well, well, wait.
I maybe want to retract that in certain social circumstances.
The ebb and flow of men and women.
We all know that there's manipulation there.
But my point is that hate has to be taught.
Hate has to be nurtured, it has to be manipulated and expanded, and it is happening.
But there's something else at the same time, the counterbalance to all that.
I mean, it's always been the case.
There's nothing new about it, although it's more intense, I think, than ever before in my life.
The purposeful manipulation and creation of literally insane angry mobs.
The counterbalance to all this has always been us, folks.
People like you and me.
People that know where to guardrails are and want to live within them.
But way too many people like us have been destroyed with character assassination or worse.
Bottom line for that, beyond what it means personally is that no credible opposition to this anarchy exists.
It's been a two-pronged attack.
The left is in the process of destroying all moral authority in once reliable institutions.
Have to take a break while you ponder that, because that's just the tip of the iceberg, as they said on the Titanic.
Coming back, and of course we'll develop this even more.
El Rushmore, talent on lawn from God.
I don't know.
Here kicking off Christmas week, the excellence in broadcasting network.
As well, my friends, the media has blood on its hands.
Perhaps as much as anybody else.
The media have been the major promoters of all the lies about the gentle giant and Eric Garner.
The media know that the gentle giant did not have his hands up.
They know it.
The media know that the gentle giant was not surrendering.
The media know exactly what happened in that case.
And they refuse to report it.
They are furthering lies.
So much so that five members of the St. Louis Rams actually believe that they were telling the truth, and they were not the opening of a game and hands up, don't shoot.
They thought that really happened.
This is why I say you have to be taught or manipulated into hating.
And the media is all over this.
The media also know that Eric Garner did not die from a chokehold.
The media know that what was applied to Eric Garner was not a chokehold.
And it Does matter.
It doesn't, it's not meant to provide excuses.
It is meant to highlight that elected officials and civil rights activists and agitators know full well that they are lying, and the media knows full well that they are not reporting the truth of what happened to average ordinary news so-called consumers.
They keep telling the same lies over and over again for the express purpose of whipping up this rage among the uninformed and the ignorant.
Latest example from the AP, get this.
AP poll, police killings of blacks voted top story of 2014.
The Associated Press actually wants us to believe that the top story in all of 2014, as voted on by I don't know who, editors, readers, police killings of blacks.
Sorry, folks.
Top story of 2014, nope, just the latest.
Ha, how are you?
Welcome back.
Rush Linboy, having more fun a human being should be allowed to have the telephone number if you want to be on the program 800-282-288-2, and the email address lrushbow at EIBNet.com.
As you know, ladies and gentlemen, I have a hobby, and that is technology, high-tech, keeping up with the latest that's happening with uh things like iPhones and iPads and all the stuff, television, whatever it is.
And I've always been a gadget guy.
I mean, I was the guy when uh VCRs came out.
I was the guy who knew how to program them first.
I was the guy who set up VCRs and stereos and video systems in there in my friends' houses.
It's always been a hobby of mine.
And I went cold on it.
I went dormant in it for a while during the early days of this program, and I just swerved back into it.
And I have shared with you observations as I, in my hobby time, i.e., relaxation time, I'm encountering more and more either direct or subtle political content in uh in in in high-tech website and blog posts.
And it interests me, I mean, you could say rush right here.
I mean, just they're just part of the left.
I mean, you could read some of this stuff from anybody.
Yeah, but I don't know.
The I think the reason, folks, that it does, I'm always looking at the day we reverse this.
I'm always looking down the road to the day when we finally bottom out and reverse this.
I firmly believe it's going to happen.
But I'm really worried we used to be able, as I say, to rely on countless institutions with moral authority that just by their virtue of existence, they had the uh the power, they had the uh moral authority to reject things, and people would automatically accept it.
But one that what while the left, they've had a two-pronged strategy, while the left has been literally creating insanity among their base supporters.
Now, one of the greatest examples of that is what they did with the Iraq War.
I mean, every Democrat ends up voting for the Iraq war.
And they make everybody forget that, but the time we finish, everybody involved, and it's a liar, we didn't need to go, we're losing, we never had a chance of winning.
I mean, you remember it all.
The Democrats are doing this, jockeying for electoral advantage, but in the process, they're really creating in their base voters instability, genuine mental instability.
And they they keep enraging them further.
They anger them further, and they become irrational.
And you get groups like Occupy Wall Street or others.
Now we've always had those groups, but as I say, we've always there's always been a counterbalance to it.
And it's been churches, it's been religion, it's been um universities in some cases, but it's it's been institutions, time-honored traditions and institutions that when they spoke, they had automatic credibility.
The left has also been in the process of destroying as many of those time-honored traditions and institutions.
Such things as marriage, it's Just one example off top of my head.
But there are countless others.
Religion now, biggest enemy on earth, particularly Catholics.
And in the process of enraging their base supporters and followers, and then destroying the credibility with character assassination of any who might oppose them, they also fuel additional rage.
And I think that's where we find ourselves now.
With we're looking out over the horizon at something we can't see anymore.
And that somehow does this get turned around.
Some way does it get turned around?
Who is it that can stand up and proclaim all of this wrong?
It's why I said on Fox News Sunday, two Sundays ago when I was a guest.
I I said to Chris Wallace, I said, times like this, the president of the United States ran for election as a unifier.
I was I was reading a piece last night.
This is fascinating, by the way.
I should have printed it out, but I didn't.
It was one of these young conservatives back in 2008 who was just hoping and praying that Obama was indeed the real new deal.
Not quite David Brooks thinking he's great because of the crease in his slacks.
But one of the things that this young writer said, well, Obama, he's elegant, eloquent, uh parentheses, like we are.
He is brilliant like we are.
He is academic like we are, and he can unify people.
Well, that's the last thing that he's done.
He's done the opposite of unify.
If President Obama really, really, and I mean this, folks, if he really cared about unity, you know what he would do?
He'd get back here for those police officers' funerals.
And he would take the mayor with him.
He's really interested in unity.
And tell what's he doing?
He's not talking about the need for patient dialogue, which confers legitimacy on this guy and the people whose club he belongs to that killed these two cops.
And it's going to continue.
The act is being cheered in many places on Facebook and Twitter.
And why not when you've got civil rights leaders leading chance of their followers saying, cops dead, cops dead, dead cops, cops die.
What do you expect?
These people are already manipulated.
They've already been bent, shaped, flaked and formed into whatever the Civil Rights Coalition wants them to be.
They're like sharks in the water and there's a little chum thrown in with some blood.
It's clear to see what's happening here.
And there are people.
There is an institution.
The presidency with the bully pulpit and the moral authority that office has could be used to quell some of this.
But we just don't see Obama doing it, do we?
And why don't we see that?
May not even have an answer cry out to you in your conscious, but your subconscious might be telling you, yeah, it's not who he is.
It's not who he identifies with.
He's a community organizer.
Acornment cops in that world are the problem.
Okay.
See, community organizers don't unify.
That's by definition.
Community organizers, community organizers agitate.
Actually, should be called community disorganizers, is what happens.
One chant in New York City last week.
What do we want?
Dead cops.
When do we want it?
Well, they got their wish.
You can't say, well, we were just blowing off some steam.
Some of you might have been, but you've got to realize.
You know, Here's the thing about this too, folks, that stop and think of this.
Remember Gabrielle Giffords?
Member of Congress, Arizona.
She was shot at a campaign appearance at a bookstore or coffee shop or someplace.
What's the first thing the media did?
The first thing the media did was blame Sarah Palin.
And then the media blamed me.
And I had never even heard of the woman.
I'm sorry, folks, but I do not know all 435 members of the House.
And I had never heard of Gabriel Giffords or Gabby Giffords.
I didn't know who it was at the time of the shooting.
Yeah, but they blamed Sarah Penins.
Stop and think about that.
They blame Sarah Palin, and even when it became obvious, it was silly.
It was it was ridiculous.
But their believers believed it, and their followers believed it, and they started trashing Sarah Palin again and again and again.
And everybody involved was lying through their teeth, knowing it was ridiculous.
Ditto trying to blame me.
And they said, Well, you know, Sarah Palin, she had a graphic on her website with some crosshairs on it.
Yes, he was endorsing, I think the opponent of Gabby Gifford's.
And it was it was just to mention this is ridiculous.
And I hear the same people who have actually been shouting.
What do we want?
Dead cops.
When do we want them?
Now saying, no, no, no, that has this.
No, no, no, no, no.
That's just positioning.
I mean, no, no, no, no.
That's just blowing off steam.
No, no, you can't blame him.
But a graphic on a website that no, this gunman out there that shot Gabby.
Never probably visited Sarah Palin's website, much less heard of her.
Did owe me.
School shooting in Arizona.
Our old buddy Brian Ross, ABC News.
What's the first connection he tried to make?
Well, he got the name of the shooter, and the first place he went was a roster of Tea Party members.
Remember, Brian Ross, ABC, actually went on the air to report, we're not sure.
But it could be, it might be that the shooter ex so-and-so is a member of the local Tea Party.
It turns out that the Tea Party had nothing whatsoever to do with the school shooting, and is so often the case.
The shooters and these mass murders are all deranged leftists.
Every one of them, for one reason or another, is mentally disturbed, unbalanced, deranged, what have you, and they are all angry about something.
And I'm telling you, this is a direct result of the ongoing unstoppable, never-stopping constant anger and rage that comes from the mouths of elected officials, amplified and promoted by the media.
There was no hands up, don't shoot.
There was no surrender.
A chokehold is not the reason Eric Garner died.
...
And if I sat here and applied myself and thought about it, I could probably give you a list of 15 things off the top of my head that are out and out media lies about things related to this topic and things unrelated to it.
Now, how does all this fit with the tech blog?
Well, I ran across, I'm reading the tech blog, and I ran across something that I think makes the point.
I don't know how this kid is, gotta be young.
I know his name, I'm not gonna mention his name because I don't want to make him famous.
Because he's an idiot.
But he thinks he's brilliant, and the piece that he wrote is being cited as brilliant.
And you know why all this is happening with the cops.
You won't believe the rationale.
Well, you see, we sit by and praise the military when they wantonly murder in Iraq and Afghanistan.
And the cops are Just like our domestic military.
And it's time to stop the wanton slaughter of our military around the world and our cops.
This is being hailed as brilliant.
There's other things to it.
Just want you to hear it because this is the kind of stuff it percolates out there in a certain demographic among a group of people that think they're really, really, really smart, who are so clueless that it hurts.
Anyway, a brief timeout.
We'll come back and start working your phone calls into the maze here, so sit tight.
El Rushbo, executing assigned host duties flawlessly.
Okay, it's gonna be some excerpts from this uh blog post last week.
This was before the shooting of the cops on Saturday.
Just so you know, this is before the murder of the cops.
The problem isn't with the NYPD.
Oh, the problem is with the blanket total support we give our military when it fights in Afghanistan and Iraq.
You see, the price of placing zero value on the lives of the people of these countries is that our lives in turn become worthless.
Now, where does this mumbo jumbo come from?
Okay, here's a guy who's been driven to literal hate for what happens in Afghanistan and Iraq because he's been lied to about why we're there.
And so when he hears that our Marines from John Kerry are rapists and terrorists, he just gets mad.
Not in my country, he says it's outrageous, and he starts believing it.
We're not in Iraq for our freedom, we're not in Afghanistan to fight Al Qaeda.
No, no, we're there to wantonly kill citizens, is what this guy thinks.
That's what the price of placing zero value on the lives of the people of those countries means.
He says what goes around comes around.
You reap what you sow.
There are dozens of adages and fables that explain this phenomenon.
The lives of the people of the foreign countries are worth exactly as much as ours.
We overlooked the behavior of American soldiers in these countries, and now the cops want to know why we treat them differently.
So this guy believes that we have given our military a blank check to kill innocent women and children, and the cops want the same consideration.
And when they don't get it, the cops are outraged and angry and don't understand.
If the military can kill with disregard, why can't we?
And then he says the cops are right to ask.
If the army can arbitrarily kill thousands in Iraq, why can't the cops kill a few people in Staten Island, Missouri, Ohio?
You support the troops, why don't you support us?
The cops ask.
Has anybody ever heard a policeman make this argument?
Have you?
Has anybody ever heard a cop say, you know, what are you getting mad at us for?
You, I mean, you praise the military, they kill thousands of innocent people.
What is this?
Arbitrarily kill thousands in Iraq.
But there's an answer.
You see, we made a mistake, and now we understand.
We have to unwind this.
We have to tell the police that they're us and we are them.
When they kill us, they're killing themselves.
Eric Garner was a real person, but a life, a family.
Clearly had ideas.
He felt entitled as an American to be left alone by the cops.
So he's breaking a law.
Yeah, it happens.
There's no way what he did justified the penalty.
The people who killed him must pay for what they did so that everybody in a position of similar power understands that we don't tolerate murder, even if you have a badge.
Or the support of the police has limits.
Let's here's the net net.
Just the bottom line.
Let's stop singing God bless America at our sporting events.
Let's stop lying about what our military does.
I see these recruiting commercials during basketball and football games, and they are disgusting.
We have to remove this culture of honoring the invasion of countries on the pretense of liberating them when we're actually protecting the economic interest of the rich and powerful.
Is this not exactly what Harry Reed says or Pelosi's not exact?
Is this not exactly what Ahmadinizad in Iran accuses us of doing?
This guy has been taught this literal insanity, and he believes it morning to night.
He believes it whatever and he thinks it's a good person for believing it.
We allowed this to happen.
We are gonna have to remain seated when imperialism, which devalues the lives of ordinary people like us, rears its head, such as God bless America.
Yeah, if you're on the hole, be patient.
We're coming to you.
We'll get to you quickly in the uh in the next hour.
AP survey was of uh reporters and news editors and directors and so forth.
It was not of the public.
Yeah.
