Greetings to you, music lovers, thrill seekers, conversationalists on across the fruited plane.
It is the most listened to radio talk show in America, hosted by me, Hall of Fame broadcaster Rush Limbaugh, and I've been doing this a long time.
Now what does that mean to you?
It means I know what I'm doing.
I like it when I do it.
I know what I'm saying, I like it when I say it.
I like listening to myself say it, but I don't get to do that much.
Not nearly as often as you do.
800-282-2882, if you want to be on the program.
So I got a note from a friend last night who was so captivated by my program yesterday that was listening a second time.
And made some observations based on things I had said.
I never ever stopped looking at it.
And person said, you may as well go ahead and make the point that you just did.
So I re-looked at it.
And it hit me.
The perfect ticket for 2016.
So what was it that happened on yesterday's pro.
Well, one of the things that happened was that Jeb Bush announced he was going to do exploratory committee.
And in his announcement, and many times previous to his announcement, Jeb Bush has made it clear that he wants to win the Republican nomination without needing the votes of the Republican base.
I.e.
the Tea Party.
He doesn't want to have to sell his soul for the Tea Party vote.
Well, what that means is he doesn't want to have to pretend to be a conservative at any time during the primary to get the Tea Party or conservative vote.
And yet he's found he's going to do it.
He is going to win the nomination.
He's not going to pander.
And as evidence, I offer you this from the Washington Times.
This is back in 2009.
May 3rd of 2009.
But I it's it's important that you have this in the hopper.
Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush said Saturday that it's time, this is May the 9th now, May 3rd of 2009.
Five years ago, admittedly.
But it fits nicely with yesterday.
Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush said Saturday, it's time for the Republican Party to give up its nostalgia for the heyday of the Reagan era and look forward, even if it means stealing the winning strategy deployed by the Democrats in the 2008 elections.
Jeb Bush was quoted as saying you can't beat something with nothing, and the other side has something.
I don't like it, but they have it.
And we have to be respectful and mindful of that.
Now that reminded me as another prominent Democrat who said we must be respectful and mindful and empathetic with our enemies.
Another prominent Democrat had said something like that as well.
Recently.
Now the era of Reagan being over is a popular refrain and has been for many years within the Republican Party establishment.
The so-called Rhino Republicans.
They have wanted to forget Reagan, move on from Reagan because they don't like the whole premise of Reagan, which is limited government, shrinking government, expanded liberty and freedom, lowering taxes, all that.
They don't, they're not interested in that.
You'll note also, ladies and gentlemen, have you ever heard any Democrat ever say the era of FDR is over?
And we need to move forward and beyond it.
You haven't, have you?
Have you ever heard any Democrats say the era of JFK is over?
And we have you ever heard Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton say the era of Martin Luther King is over and we need to move forward with me.
You haven't.
Have you ever heard any Democrat suggest that the Democrat Party forget and throw away any of its heroes from the bygone eras?
You never hear that.
But yet the Republican Party has for years been insistent that the era of Reagan be thought of as over.
A one time experiment that we forget and stop looking at it nostalgically.
Stop being linked to it and wedded to it, and we must move on.
We must get real.
And we must look at how the Democrats win elections.
Jeb Bush said this five years ago.
We must look at how they are winning elections and steal it.
Yep, he said we need to steal the winning strategy deployed by Democrats.
What was the winning strategy deployed by Democrats in 2008?
What what seriously, what could he be talking about?
Okay.
Okay, what did Obama run on?
Obama ran on nebulous platitudes.
Hope and change.
Obama was an empty canvas.
Basically, you could make Obama win.
It ran on nothing.
What'd the Republicans run on this year?
Nothing.
I'm talking about as a party.
As an individual Republican candidates ran on things, such as opposition to Obamacare, but the party itself ran on nothing.
Could that be the idea Jeb Bush is suggesting that they steal?
Maybe they did.
They used it in 2014.
They think it worked big.
We'll try it again in 2016.
We'll shut up, we'll stand for nothing, we'll rely on the country hating what Obama's doing in Democrats.
We'll get elected.
And then we won't be tied to any agenda because we haven't announced one.
But this radio program yesterday explored some of the similarities that exist between the two parties.
And I made a point yesterday of saying that the Republican Party and Democrat Party pretty much agree on amnesty for illegal immigrants.
The voters don't.
We all know the election returns.
There was a massive landslide defeat for people who believe in it in amnesty.
Landslide defeat.
The people who voted went to the polls and shouted, stop it.
Both parties are ignoring it.
On Amnesty, both parties want the same thing.
On Obamacare, the Republican Party doesn't appear in any way interested in repealing it, slowing it down, replacing it.
They're not, it may as well be on the same page as the Democrats.
And look who it is that turns out to be paying for all of this.
The donor class for the Democrat Party and the Republican Party are identical.
The Democrats and Republicans are both going after the rich elite.
They're going after bankers.
Wall Street brokers and hedge fund types.
They're going after Hollywood, the Democrats more successful there.
Both parties are seeking corporate money big time.
And both parties are seeking great fame and pleasing coverage from the media.
In other words, both parties seem to be aiming their future prospects at people who live in media and entertainment and financial capitals in this country.
Now we've also heard, ladies and gentlemen, that one of the problems of the Republican Party is that they refuse to cooperate.
We hear over and over the Republican Party needs to engage in bipartisanship.
This is needed to secure the independent vote.
The independents don't like criticism and fighting, and particularly criticism of Democrat presidents or candidates.
And so the Republicans, we've been told this by Senators McCain, and you name it.
We've been told we must tone down this criticism of Obama.
We must cross the aisle.
We must show the American people we can work together in Washington and get things done.
We have too long, we are told, had a divided government, and we Must come together and show that we can govern.
Together.
The Republicans tell us this.
The Republicans tell their voters, and at the same time they tell us this.
They tell us the era of Reagan is a bygone era.
We should forget about it.
And the Tea Party is absolutely disastrous to future Republican fortunes and plans.
The Tea Party must be forgotten about, certainly not pandered to, and if necessary, defeated in the primary process.
Otherwise, the Republican Party doesn't have a prayer.
The Tea Party's the biggest option and it happens to be the exact thinking of the Democrat Party.
The Democrat Party thinks the biggest problem in America today is the Tea Party.
The Democrat Party thinks that this country is faced with singular opposition that could overturn the best plans of both parties by the Tea Party.
Therefore, both parties agree the Tea Party has got to be dealt with somehow, some way.
Now on the Democrat side, we have apparently two interested people, maybe three if you count Joe Biden.
But we have the Folkahvis candidate, the fake Indian Native American, that would be Elizabeth Warren, who is telegraphing her desire to be president by claiming she doesn't want to be.
When the owner says you're cool.
Elizabeth Warren says, I'm not running.
I don't want to be president.
Translation, I can't wait.
And I am running, but I'm just not going to admit it right now.
Now Elizabeth Warren and Hillary Clinton being the other, they have a little problem because Hillary, by necessity, has to run for the presidency away from Obama.
Because Obama is deaf politically to Democrats seeking office.
I give you the 2014 elections.
Every Democrat senator voted for Obamacare's toast.
They're gone, one way or the other.
Defeated, quit, retired, or dead.
Hillary Clinton, Benghazi, all kinds of controversies and scandals.
Hillary Clinton was tied.
She's got to distance her.
So therefore, Hillary Clinton, like Jeb Bush, must win the primary some way other than securing the Democrat base, because that is Elizabeth Warren's.
What is the solution to all of this?
It's very simple.
The ideal, the perfect ticket.
For the 2016 election, Hillary Clinton, Jeb Bush.
Now they can figure out who's on top of the ticket on their own.
But when you compare their positions, Hillary Clinton and Jeb Bush on the key important issues.
They are two Ps in the same pod.
And by the way, Barbara Bush loves Bill Clinton, says so publicly.
George W. Bush has referred to Hillary as a half-sister, long lost, whatever, some such thing.
The Clinton family and the Bush family are very tight.
They are very close.
There is never a negative or critical word uttered by a Bush of a Clinton or of a Bush by a Clinton.
This is made to order the way both parties want amnesty, Jeb Bush wants it, Hillary wants it.
Both parties want to win the nomination, Hillary by running away from the Democrat base, Jeb by running away from the Republican base.
This is a purpose and ideal combination.
When it comes to Obamacare, national health care, both parties are signed on.
Both parties care about their donors more than their voters.
And the both parties have the exact same donor class.
Bankers, stockbrokers, elite entertainment industry types, unit, they're all of it.
Folks, this is a ticket made in heaven.
I can't recall a time in my life where a presidential candidate and a vice presidential candidate are so close to each other on the issues.
Where if one of them was unable to serve, we wouldn't know the difference if the vice president had to take office.
If Jeb's at the top of the ticket and they win and something happens, and Hillary has to take over, nobody'd know the difference.
Same token, Hillary is elected president, Jeb's V. Hillary can't make it for some reason.
Her husband being the white Bill Cosby might come up, you never know.
Then Jeb becoming president, nobody know the difference.
It wouldn't skip a beat.
The moderates in the Republican Party are scared to death of Hillary Clinton.
They just they're petrified.
What better way to deal with the fear of Hillary Clinton than to put her on your ticket?
The Democrats probably have the same kind of fear of the Bushes.
Not because they actually fear them, but can't we get away from crying out loud, Bush, here Bush, there Bush.
What better way?
The Republican donor class scared to death of Hillary, Republican establishment, scared to death of Hillary.
Republican conservative media scared to death of Hillary.
They think Hillary's a shoe-inch.
She's automatic nominee and may be an automatic president, unless Jeb can come in and save a day.
Well, why not accomplish both things?
Bipartisanship, crossing the aisle, united government, no more gridlock.
Key agreement on all the important issues that people vote on.
Clinton Bush, 16.
You choose the top.
And we're back.
Great to have you here, Rush Linbaugh, behind the golden E. Microphone.
I mean, that ticket, that would be a moderate, and isn't that what we're told needs to dominate moderates and dependence.
That ticket would be a moderate wet dream.
I mean, it just it covers every base.
Both candidates put their pants on, one leg at a time.
Here's Ray in Livermore, California, as we head back to the phones.
Great to have you, sir.
Welcome.
Hey, Russ.
Uh uh Merry Christmas and happy Hanukkah Dettos to you and your family and the staff there, EIB.
Really appreciate what you're doing.
Um I know you're pressed for time, but if there's time to make a second comment on your book, uh following my original call-in comment, uh I'd love to.
Um in your opening remarks, you know, talking about Jeb Bush.
And overall, the way the media reacts to you, an old bomber pilot had an axiom that fits perfect.
He said, uh if you're taking slack, it means you're directly over the target.
Open the Bombay doors.
You know, it's I I got a I got a note from and actually a Republican uh what would be the you know this person, but I can't mention it.
But Republican strategist, uh campaign organizer said, hey, they well, I can't re I can't don't buy to this.
They're scared to death of you.
That's their problem.
They're they're they're it's not that it's not that I can't remember, it's just a one-line thing, but it's basically the same point that you're making.
I mean, if if they're ripping you to shreds like this, you must be over the target, must be hitting too close to home.
I of course am aware of this, yes.
Yeah, and um, and especially if you're making both sides upset, it it's clear that you're on target, Rush, and we want to encourage you to keep up the good work.
Thank you.
Here it is.
She she says they don't hate you.
They are terrified of you.
Keep it up.
You say keep the Bombay doors open.
Right on, dude.
Right now, what was the second comment that you wanted to make?
Um, I've got an 11-year-old daughter, and she rarely likes uh any of my book choices that I get for her, but I picked uh the Rush Revere series.
Uh I actually got the second book first, and she immediately corrected me and said, I can't start the series in the second book, Dad.
So I got her the first book.
And uh she has consumed them rush as if they were taking ice cream.
She's on the third book.
She absolutely loves your work uh and the way that you present history for children, and I just want to say thank you very much for what you're doing.
Um, thank you.
Folks, look, I uh something's happening out there with with this revere series.
Uh the the way everybody's reacting to it.
We're we're getting adults telling us that they're learning things they didn't know about history in these children's books.
But the way these kids, his his story here, you ought to see the things that we're getting.
We put a lot of it up on the Revere Facebook page, but it's just over the top.
And it's it's wonderful.
It is absolutely uh uh terrific, but uh the the the passion that these young people have for these books, I mean it is it's over the top.
Ladies and gentlemen, as you'll uh indulge me here for just a second.
I I want to just continue in a very short vein here on the uh comment we had Ray at Livermore about his daughter, and uh how she's just voraciously consuming the Rush Revere books.
Oh, and by the way, for you for you youngsters, if you um if you go to our Rush Revere Facebook page or at RushRevere.com, we've we've uh we have posted a new Liberty video that you will just love.
Liberty is the f uh uh a lot of people's favorite uh and endearing character.
Smart Alec talking horse, time traveling horse.
Kids love Liberty.
And uh Liberty has a new video up at uh Facebook page and at RushRevere.com.
But we uh can't Catherine and I uh personally read the emails and the comments, and we see all the photos that are pouring in from people that are reading the Adventures of Rush Revere series, and I'm telling folks that it's heart melting.
Um it's like I don't know how to explain this.
It's almost like a um a second success track.
Now, I've mentioned to you, way back when this program started back in 1988.
Uh I'd been in radio since I was sixteen, and I had never had any real success at it.
I was all I was a number of things.
I was either the guy with a lot of potential, but just didn't quite get there.
Or I was a guy who didn't have any talent, was never gonna work, but man does the guy really work hard and all that.
But it ran the gamut.
And all the way through my first stent at radio from age sixteen to twenty-nine, I never really had any success.
In terms of I mean I I didn't know what success was till Sacramento.
Sacramento, I finally felt found out what a success track is.
That that was when happened to coincide when I was finally, after whatever number of years, and it was a quirk of fate, made it possible, but I was given the chance to do a radio show the way I wanted to do it, without a bunch of restrictions and guidance and this kind of thing.
And it clicked, and it's what led to this show.
So I that that was the my first experience with having a real success track, knowing that a connection was being made with the audience.
I don't want to get too inside baseball here, but I setting this up because it's starting to happen with this kid demographic in these books and their parents.
You know, once you uh have experienced the success, and those of you that have in your own businesses, if you branch out and do something else, you know you you know that moment when it's starting to click.
And you know when it isn't.
So therefore you know what you have to do to change what you're doing to make it click.
Well, this book series, the Rush Revere series, it's it really is starting to click with its own different success track.
Uh and we we respond to these uh emails these kids send, and they can't believe that they're getting responses.
And we send them little gift packages now and then a Ted T. Bear or uh some of you hear it, an autograph book or uh an audio version or what have you.
And they can't believe their their posts on our Facebook page or wherever are actually being read and responded to.
And it just melts your heart to see this.
What we're trying to do here is make American history fun and engaging and something that uh younger generation wants to know, wants to be part of.
You know, we don't w we don't want, for example, the book to be given as a Christmas present, the kid to open the book.
Ah, gee, a book.
Thanks, Dad.
We want them to be thrilled to get a rush revere series book.
And they are.
That's the that's the thing.
That's what we're what we're hearing.
Liberty's one of the favorite characters.
He's always getting up to some fun things, and he created a patriotic dance that he uh he wants all the kids to see, join in and learn, and that's the video that we've posted.
You can see it by going to Rush Revere's Facebook page.
It's www.facebook.com slash rush revere.
And uh Liberty's cute.
You can tell him I told you to if you want to.
Uh but don't forget to like the Facebook page too when you are when you were there.
The more likes the merrier, so we can spread the word far and wide.
But I just I just had to share this with you because we're all one giant family here.
And we are all invested in this country rebounding and becoming once again what it was founded to.
And everybody knows the key to that is reaching future adult generations.
Okay, where are we here today, folks?
As we take stock in the United States of America and our circumstance.
Let's take a look at if we had to give you a short version of what is happening now.
This is what it would be.
North Korea, or perhaps a hacker group with ties to North Korea is dictating movie show times in American theaters.
North Korea, or a hacker group associated with them, has shut down showings of a movie, proving that in 2014, terrorism works.
Cyber terrorism in this case against Sony has succeeded.
The two actors in the movie, James Franco and Seth Rogan, I guess is his name, they have shut down all interviews to promote the movie.
The hacker group is promising terrorist acts at theaters who show the movie.
At the same time, Iran is doing apparently what it damn well pleases with its nuclear program, and Israel is shamed for not defending itself properly, according to anti-Semitic detractors.
Central American countries are shipping hundreds of thousands of their citizens, children across our borders, no questions asked, and they're being welcomed and dispatched all over the United States.
Brutal regimes such as the Taliban and now Cuba seem to be on pretty good footing with the president, Barack Hussein Oh.
American police are being smeared as racists.
And the White House just put together a task force to discuss and study whether or not police officers should be denied their cases be denied a hearing before a grand jury if there is a shooting involved.
Therefore, the White House is engaging in a task force to deny American policemen equal protection under the law.
While this is going on, the president is gutting the U.S. military while claiming he's just making it leaner.
And while he's gutting the U.S. military, the president is also gutting the U.S. Constitution.
And now we've learned he's not even doing it with executive orders.
He's doing it with memoranda.
You see, memos are far less threatening than something called an executive order, an executive action.
And so if the low information Crowd happens to hear that the president wrote a memo about amnesty for illegals.
Well, big whoop.
Hell everybody has memos.
I hate memos.
Screw memo doesn't mean anything.
Everybody does memos.
But we're told that presidential memos carry the same weight and force of action that an executive action does or an executive order.
But the president's writing memos left and right.
Usurping the Constitution, abandoning the Constitution, ignoring the Constitution.
And there's still two years of this kind of stuff to go.
And at the same time, we're supposed to, and all of this is going on, we're now today, we're supposed to feel sorry for Obama and his wife because they are victims of the lamest of lame perceived sites they call racism.
Yes.
While all of this is happening, the president wants us to feel sorry because ten years ago somebody mistook him for a valet.
What's wrong with being a valet?
I thought every job had dignity in Obama's world.
And while that's going on, Mrs. Obama is lamenting that the last time she where was it, Target?
What is she doing in Target in it?
She says she was in Target and somebody came along and asked her to help them get something off a top shelf.
No, it's not because she's tall, it's because she's black and therefore assumed to be a sub-employee.
So you have the president of the of the United States and the first lady going full on victim 101 six years into their presidency, nevertheless playing the victim card with events that supposedly happened six, seven, eight years ago.
What is the point?
What is the why can't this is a keep?
Why can't Obama, when talking about this, you know, it used to be that people owe to me as a valet, and now look, I'm president.
What a great country.
Why could he do that?
Why does he have to continue to diminish with pointed efforts to do so this country?
The president playing the victim card?
Racial victim card?
Nobody called him a valet yesterday.
Nobody called him a valet last week.
He's been called much worse, if you ask me in political terms.
But anything, anything in the service of diminishing the United States, anything that serves to illustrate this country as less than perfect and less than what it should be, they will not miss those opportunities.
Supposed to feel sorry because somebody at Target asked Mrs. Obama to get some off a high shelf.
I don't think that happened when they were at Martha's Vineyard.
I don't know if there's a target in Martha's Vineyard.
But I get your point.
How can somebody so victimized by evil racism possibly be accepted as a vacation visitor in the elite place of Martin's Vineyard?
If this country sucks so bad, why are the people at Martha's Vineyard even letting them go there?
It's a great question.
Because what we really know is this country thinks of the Obamas as valets and aisle workers.
That's what they want us to know.
At Christmas time, 2014.
And the thing is, folks, we are only on the front end of this suicidal governing.
Anybody with an ounce of self-preservation has every right to be appalled and terrified and disgusted.
John Boehner and Mitch McConnell are working with the president organizing these things, and meanwhile, people like Ted Cruz and Mike Lee, and anybody else sympathetic with the taxed enough already crowd are the public enemies.
Ted Cruz is public enemy number one.
Sarah Palin, number two, Mike Lee, number three, you name it.
And this list of things that I just went through to describe where the country is, and the bad guy is Ted Cruz.
Oh, and the CIA.
Did Obama ever complain about Bill Clinton and Ted Kennedy saying, hey, Ted, you know, it wasn't that long ago, this guy Obama, he'd be getting us our coffee.
Why doesn't Obama cite that example if he wants to talk about being a victim of racism in the United States.
And Obama as a valet, I don't know about you.
I don't know if I'd trust him to park my car.
It's a joke, media.
It's a joke.
The point is, in any honest chronicle of the decline of this country, which, by the way, the decline we're supposed to understand and support.
And we are supposed to join together to elect candidates who will manage the decline of this country.
Because we must pay the price for our prominence and prosperity in the past.
It was not genuine, you see.
It was illegitimate, and we must now pay the price.
Elect people to manage the decline, understand the management of the decline, and understand the decline.
And anybody who pipes up, who doesn't want to be in a country in decline, is labeled public enemy number one.
A minor correction on where the new Liberty Dance video is.
It's only right now on our Facebook page.
Facebook.com slash rush revere.
It's not on the revere website yet.
It's only on the Facebook page.
Great dance by Liberty, history, my friends.
We're trying to make it fun.
And uh we're succeeding.
And Liberty has a little dance to share with the people who love it.
And here is Mark in Lafayette, Louisiana, as we head back to the phones.
Thank you for waiting, sir.
Hello.
Hi, yes, thank you, Rush.
Mr. Children's Book, author of the year.
I love that one because it picks off some people dearly.
But John Boehner proved last week the power of the Tea Party by jamming this trillion dollars worth of omnibus through.
Because there is no way, and he knew that, that this newly elected Congress, that we elected, and I'm talking we would pass that bill.
He knew it, and that's why he had to jam it down our throats, and I believe it's the last move that that man will make of importance.
And as far as that gentleman yesterday pertaining to calling me from Texas a racist, uh, because I am a Tea Party believer.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
I I invite all my black American brethren and my Latino amigos to look and see who we really are.
And come on, understand what we are.
You're going to like what we think.
They don't.
No, no, no.
That's we've been doing challenges like that for 24.
Then that's not going to respond to that.
That's fair.
But I want I I want to go back to what you said about about Boehner.
You you you uh you believe that Boehner ram rotted this thing through in this Congress because he feared the Tea Party contingent in a new Congress in the Senate would oppose it and it wouldn't get done.
He's got no chance.
This is history in the making.
The Whig Party became the Republican Party.
I don't know all the history, but I know it wasn't just a name change.
Had to be a battle.
And I believe the Tea Party will commandeer the Republican Party, whatever name they give it.
I'd love to see Miss Sarah Palin as hard in sea chair.
Well something like that.
Yeah, that would be great.
I know.
Funny to see.
Look, that there's um there's no question that there is a deep fear of the Tea Party in both parties.
The Democrat Party's afraid of and the Republican Party is afraid of them, maybe for different reasons, party to party.
Uh one thing I don't think they accurately know.
I think they think they do, but I I don't think they're even close To understanding the anger that they are creating.
And they, if they think that they're succeeding in dispiriting the Tea Party, that's what they're wrong about.
And they will learn it at some point down the line.
Anyway, appreciate the call, Mark.
We've got to take a brief timeout.
We'll do it.
Okay, folks, it's a brief timeout here once again at the top of the hour, busy broadcast hour.
We've got a fastest three hours in media underway.
