Time Text
Greetings, my friends, and welcome, welcome back.
Welcome, period.
Great to have you here.
Rush Limbaugh, the one and only Excellence in Broadcasting Network, this the most talked about radio program in the country, hosted by the most talked about host in the country and the most listened to radio show in the country, despite efforts.
Well, never mind.
I'm not going to go there.
Happy to have you here.
Telephone number is 800-282-2882.
The email address, LRushbo at EIBNet.com.
There's a Bright Bart story today.
In New York City, the first lady, Moochell Obama, spoke at the League of United Latin American Citizens, the LULAC Convention.
And she promised that her husband would act on his own to fix the broken immigration system.
The League of United Latin American Citizens.
I wonder what countries in Latin America they are the citizens of.
Now, ladies and gentlemen, in case there is one centilla of doubt that Obama and the Democrats are encouraging this flood of illegal aliens, let me read to you from the article, quoting Muchell Obama.
Mrs. Obama reminded the attendees that they couldn't wait for Congress to act on their future.
She urged them to seize opportunities on their own.
Do you know what that means?
The first lady of the United States of America was encouraging citizens of foreign countries to break American law.
Mrs. Obama reminded the attendees they couldn't wait for Congress to act on their future.
No, no, no, no.
And she urged them to seize opportunities on their own.
Quote, we cannot afford to wait on Congress to lift up our next generation.
We cannot afford to wait on anybody when it comes to our kids' future.
Your grandparents and parents didn't wait for opportunities to come to them.
Nope, they packed up their families and they moved to this country for a better life.
Close quote.
Is there any doubt here, folks?
She just encouraged this flood of illegal aliens and is encouraging them to break the law.
How else do you interpret this?
She reminded the attendees they couldn't wait for Congress to act on their future and urge them to seize opportunities on their own.
Your grandparents and parents didn't wait for opportunities to come to them.
Nope, they packed up their families and they crossed the border for a better life.
And again, I don't think too big a deal can be made of this.
The story that's at thehill.com today, immigration reform fizzles as campaign issue for Democrats.
I'm going to tell you, I know I've focused on this some today, but this to me is the story of the day.
How many years have we sat here and been insulted and told that we are racists and sexists and bigots and all of that because we don't support comprehensive immigration reform, which we all understand to be amnesty?
And then after we've been insulted, then we have been warned.
We have been told that the Republican Party, unless they sign on to this, will never, ever win the White House again, ever.
That they won't even continue to be a viable political party unless they sign on to comprehensive immigration reform as defined by Obama, the Democrats, which is amnesty.
And I don't care what anybody says.
I know they've even warned me personally, Rush, it isn't amnesty.
It's not amnesty.
Whatever, it's not amnesty.
Well, what's Michelle Obama talking about then?
What's going on here at the southern border?
They're crossing and they're being dispersed all over the country and placed in the homes of families, some of whom may not be citizens themselves.
They're not going to be deported.
They're not going to be sent back.
What is it?
But the point is that here we are, a few short months from the election.
And I've got multiple stories here about how Obama's toxic for the Democrats.
I mean, there's a story at theHill.com here.
I put it at the bottom because I wasn't going to get to it.
I thought it'd be redundant.
But Obama the pariah, it's called.
And the article is nothing but quotes from Democrats upset with Obama about a lot of things.
The economy, Obamacare, what's going on at the southern border, you name it, because there isn't anything going right.
There's nothing happening out there that any Democrat can run on and say, vote for me, I'll give you more of it.
There's nothing positive happening out there.
And Obama is identified as the cause or the center of all of it.
But, folks, how do you go from years and years and years of being told the only way your party can win the White House is to just gulp and sign on to immigration reform.
The only way.
And then you hear your own party officials repeating it, and you think, my God, how stupid has everybody gotten?
The Republicans are out there talking like this.
And instinctively you knew it was a crock.
Instinctively you knew because there is not majority support in any poll anywhere in the country for it.
And yet, all of these powerful interests on Wall Street and American big business, corporatists, and so everybody said, we've got to do this or we're done.
We've got to do this or we're toast.
We've got to do this or we don't have a political future.
And if you don't get it done, we're all going to bomb out.
It's going to be your fault, they said to us.
The other side of this is it's a slam dunk for the Democrats.
My God, we've got to get on board.
We've got to stop it.
Democrats, if they own this issue, why they're going to win everything?
And here we are, two months, three months before the election, and the issue has fizzled as a campaign advantage for the Democrats.
How does that happen?
I'm telling you, the only way it can happen is if it was never true in the first place.
And I submit to you that it wasn't true in the first place.
It has never been the case that the only hope the Republican Party has is to get out front on immigration reform.
It has never been.
I hear Democrat after Democrat warning the Republicans under the guise of trying to help them.
Chuck Schumer is the first name to come to mind, but there are many others.
If you guys don't get the right side of the issue with these Hispanic voters, you're never going to win the White House again, as though they care about us winning the White House.
This is huge to me.
This is huge, the level of fraud and deceit that's been perpetrated here, and now two months before the election, it's exposed as just that.
It's just a little story here, Hill.com, immigration reform fizzles.
And you got Michelle Obama out there virtually inspiring more of this?
There isn't any question that this is intentional.
There isn't any question that this is what's desired.
I mean, for crying out loud, don't wait for Congress to lift up our next generation.
And she's not talking about Bernadette Lancelin's kids in Houston.
She's talking about our next generation as coming from Central America, MACO, wherever.
It's just mind-boggling.
We can't afford to wait on Congress.
We can't afford to wait on anybody.
Your grandparents and parents didn't wait for the opportunities to come to them.
Nope, they packed up their families and they moved to this country for a better life.
She's not talking about people that pass citizenship tests.
She's not talking about people that went to the immigration department, stood in line, followed the policies and procedures.
That's not to whom she is speaking.
All right.
Another break here, folks, but we'll be back much more, as always, straight ahead here on the EIV network.
Don't go away.
Back to the folks.
We go to Wacala, Florida.
This is Don.
Thank you for calling, sir.
Great to have you here, and I appreciate your patience and holding on.
Yeah, an hour and a half, but that's okay.
I tried, but started listening to you guys two months ago, and I couldn't get through.
I had a thing about 1-800 number, whatever.
Always, I think you're the most comprehensive analyst of politics alive, and you're an icon in your whole package.
I wanted to ask you if you saw it.
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, hold, hold, hold it.
Now, wait just a second now.
Even I, that, I really appreciate that.
But what I, did I hear you right?
You just started listening two months ago?
Yeah, because I wasn't aware of the program.
I listened to you back in the 70s, and I followed you, and I wanted to ask you if you saw the National Geographic show about the 1990s, they had a little plug on there on your.
Yeah, you know, I've got that T-bot.
I haven't watched it yet.
Uh-huh, it's pretty cool.
They put a plug on you, and you're the positive influence on politics.
Look at what this guy figured out about me, and he nailed it in two months.
The guy who nailed it.
You are perceptive as heck.
Excuse me, I listened to Laura, Bob, and John, too.
But I tried to get a hold.
I should have called yesterday on open lines, you know.
I wanted to congratulate you on your feet of your books and receiving the award.
I think that was outstanding.
I appreciate that.
I really do.
Thank you.
Thank you very much.
Yeah, another thing I different shows talked about a few days ago National Guard going down the border.
I think that if a Homeland Security can't, it's like two peas in a pod, you know, Homeland Security and National Guard, whatever.
What's your opinion on that?
I think it just caused problems.
Sending the military to the border would cause problems?
Yes.
How so?
Well, a conflict of interest with Homeland Security.
Homeland Security is supposed to be secure in the borders.
Well, it's actually the Border Patrol.
But Governor Perry, I don't know if you heard this or not.
Governor Perry is the governor of Texas.
Yes, yes, yes.
Said that the Border Patrol in Texas has been moved 45 miles inland.
Yeah, yeah.
That's weird.
That's strange.
Go ahead.
Yeah, you probably heard Luke say that, or Luke or Bob or Tom, whoever, but they're not even on the border.
So, I mean, but the Border Patrol, Homeland Security is, they're supposed to be, well, it's a mess.
Yeah, I know.
I know.
Anyways, another question was, there was talk about the militias, a couple militias going down there, and that would cause even more problems.
Have you heard anything more about that?
Oh, the militias.
I have not heard of any militias that are mobilizing to go to the border.
I wouldn't worry about the militias.
Yeah, okay.
That's not a problem.
Don't fall for whoever's telling you about the militias.
Yeah.
And I don't know, there wouldn't be a National Guard would simply be a symbolic band-aid.
The National Guard wouldn't, there wouldn't be in conflict with anybody unless they fired on Homeland Security, and I don't think that would happen.
Yeah, well, the thing about the borders is we're in the North American Union now, and there's really not any secure borders.
We're all three of us are all one country now, basically.
Not secure.
There's no border.
The problem is that the border is being erased.
When you get down to brass tax, there's this little thing called sovereignty, and we appear to be unconcerned about it.
Now, I think Texas Governor Perry does want the National Guard, but only because he could send them to the border.
Now, I'm going to warn you here, Don, the drive-by media would love for this to be a militia story.
They would love to be able to find some goofballs wearing turkey hats that take old buses down there from some state.
They would love that.
You don't want to encourage that.
That's not going to accomplish anything.
This is a regime responsibility.
Pure and simple.
But I appreciate the call.
I think a border has become a bus depot.
How come we can't tell these other governments to keep their people in or else?
Are you forgetting the news of last week?
The presidents of Mexico and I think Guatemala actually had a meeting to facilitate the children of Guatemala transversing the Mexican southern border.
The government of Mexico is working with the government of Guatemala to, I don't know, facilitate the migration.
Nobody's trying to stop it.
We have not said, I don't know of any, when is the last time, for example, the government of the United States told the governor of Mexico to get a handle on this and to stop it?
Do you remember when that's ever happened?
That doesn't happen.
When?
Oh, well, okay, Eisenhower for crying out loud.
Well, it's not Jurassic Park here, Snerdley.
We're talking about in the modern era.
And it doesn't happen.
And it certainly isn't going to happen with Obama.
Anyway, here's Nat, Falls Church, Virginia.
Nat, thank you for calling.
Great to have you here.
Hello.
Hey, Rush, good to talk to you.
Thank you.
So this is a little off topic, but I heard you mention it before.
So it's all in the news today that Citigroup is being fined $7 billion for the subprime mortgage crisis in 2008.
Yep.
And, you know, the media is putting it forward like it's a big deal.
You know, they really paid for it.
But I just wanted to point out to you and to all your listeners that the Federal Reserve gave Citigroup $2.5 trillion in 2008.
And that $7 billion comes out to about 0.28% of what they received from the Federal Reserve.
Not the government, not TARP, the Federal Reserve, which is made-up currency.
So I just think that's important to keep in contact.
Well, good point, but let's go back.
Before TARP, or at the same time as TARP, I guess actually a little bit before TARP, and before the financial crisis bailouts, folks, before you have a conniption fit, there was reliable news that the Federal Reserve had lent, spent, given whatever,
$3 trillion to somebody, and nobody knew where it went.
And there were massive requests from various members of Congress and others for the Fed to come up and say, who got this money?
I can remember those stories like it was yesterday.
And you're right, this was not TARP.
Now, I did not know, Nat, that Citibank got $2.5 trillion of it.
Well, according to the 2010 GAO report, which is, you know, they call it an audit.
It's not technically an audit, but it's the first glimpse into what the Federal Reserve does that the government and the public has been able to see.
So you can look that report up from the GAA government accountability office, I think.
And they listed out, and it's actually $16 trillion total that they gave, $10 trillion domestically and $6 trillion to foreign banks.
And nobody knows about this.
Nobody pays attention to this, but it's incredible because it's a massive amount of money.
It's not the debt, and it's all fiat currency.
So it could have massive repercussions for the banking system.
Well, I'm aware of $3 trillion, not $16, as you say, but I'm aware of $3 trillion that was mysteriously, I mean, it was admitted to, it was acknowledged, but nobody would say where it went.
And then TARP came along.
Look, I think it's rather obvious that the financial industry has ties to former financial industry execs in the government, and they look out for each other, and they make sure they don't fail.
They make sure, no matter what happens, they get propped up.
Probably what was going on there.
Probably still is.
Ha, how are you?
Welcome back.
It's Rush Limbaugh executing assigned host duties flawlessly.
Zero mistakes.
There are not many who can say that.
This is Don in the Rio Grande Valley, Texas.
And welcome to the EIB Network.
Hello.
Hello, Rush.
This is the first time I've ever been on your radio station.
Thank you.
You bet.
I used to work in a detention center that took care of undocumented minors.
It's been about six or seven years since then, but I can tell you exactly what goes on in those detention centers.
From a humanitarian point of view, they give them great service.
The company I worked for was wonderful.
But from a taxpayer's point of view, it's kind of a nightmare because people are really unaware of how many billions of dollars they're spending on these facilities, and they're building more and more of them and trying to, you know, protect the border.
Well, now, your experience is six or seven years ago.
Six to seven years ago, there was not this flood that is occurring now.
We're being overwhelmed at the moment.
The detention centers are full.
They are asking churches to ask parishioners to house these kids and not tell anybody about it.
They are dispersing these kids to states all over the country, Michigan, Nebraska.
And the governors of these states are not being told.
They're not spending much time in the processing centers because there's so many coming in.
They're not being properly medically screened.
They're not there for the length of time.
The taxpayer hit, I think, and especially when you're talking about the Tea Party, which is the greatest common sense group of Americans we know of, they're fully aware of what this means budget-wise.
Taxpayer dollars-wise, they know full well we can't afford this.
And they know full well that's exactly why we're doing it.
There are those who want to break the country.
There are those who believe that we deserve this.
This is exactly what we did when we were being founded.
This is the exact kind of stuff we invaded other countries.
I'm telling you, folks, it's Dinesh D'Souza's movie America.
You'll hear people say this.
This is what we did.
This is when we stole Mexico, went in there for the war, we killed them and we took their land.
This is what we did.
So we can't complain.
This is exactly what we deserve.
If people believe that this country needs its comeuppance, this country needs to be cut down to size.
This country needs to be shown what it's like to be attacked by this country and colonized and oppressed.
There are people in full support of this because they think that we deserve it, that this is payback time.
And do not, I know that to some of you who are, you know, casually involved day to day, that means I can't believe, don't doubt me.
I'm not saying the president thinks that, but I'm telling you a boatload of his supporters do, a boatload of college professors do.
A tremendous amount of perverted, corrupt liberals think this.
They don't like this country.
They think that we have oppressed people in the world, that we have imposed our way of life on them, that we have colonized them, that we have imposed freedom.
I don't know how freedom is an imposition, but they claim that it is.
They don't look at us as liberators.
They don't look at us as saving people from oppression.
No, no, no, no, no.
We have come in and it started with the pilgrims.
The pilgrims came in and in the white European settlers of Columbus before that, it came in, and this was a pristine place where the buffalo roamed and the Indians shot them now and then, but that was it.
And then we came along and everything went to hell.
Everything went to hell.
We just started destroying the planet right there.
Global warming started with the creation of America, the discovery of America.
That's when global warming started.
That's when all of this crap started.
And so it's payback time.
Say hallelujah.
This is exactly what it felt like when we stormed all of these other countries.
And then we sent our CIA in to assassinate their leaders and corrupt their currencies and all kinds of.
This is exactly how it felt.
This is just the original owners of this land trying to take it back.
That's all it is.
You better learn to live with it, Limbo, because this is what you deserve.
There are people who believe that.
And everything I just said, including global warming and all of the rotgut-isms, began with the discovery and founding of this land and country.
I am not.
I know it's not exaggerated.
What do you mean?
Wait a minute.
Did I forget something?
Wait a minute.
Snurdy just said the Spanish invaded Mexico.
You're talking about the conquistadores.
The guys just showed up in the Caribbean wearing armor and sweat to death because they didn't have piña coladas back then, right?
Exactly right.
They didn't have piña coladas.
They didn't have ice.
They show up in their conquistador uniforms.
They're armoring or sweating left, but they still conquered, right?
But they spoke the same language.
Well, they ended up speaking the same language.
But, but damn right.
Exactly right.
Spaniards and where they come from.
Europe.
And they're white, right?
So they're just as guilty.
But we ended up kicking the butt of Spain.
Doesn't matter.
We, if you follow the end of the trail, we are the ultimate perp.
We are the ultimate perpetrators.
And I mean, look at, you can talk Mayans to me all day.
You can talk Aztecs to me all day.
All these long-gone cultures and so forth.
But that doesn't matter.
Yeah, Spain did it.
Any number of European countries.
The Vikings, you know, they get away with everything.
The Vikings never get tagged with anything.
It's like they came here, raped, pillaged, did whatever, founded Minnesota, and left.
Anyway, to see the quick timeout, we'll be back.
We'll continue after this.
Don't go away.
You think I'm making all this up?
You think that I am exaggerating about all these leftists who claim that the destruction of the world began when white Europeans discovered this country, beginning with Columbus and then the Pilgrims, as written about in Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrims, written by me, Time Travel Adventures with Exceptional Americans.
Have you ever heard of the term Columbusing?
It is a term that was popularized back in June, slate.com, and then eagerly picked up and spread far and wide by NPR.
And here basically is the definition.
Columbusing is when you discover something that has always been there, but you say it's new, and then you claim it's yours and you own it, and you stomp on and spit on and ignore what has always been there from the day after you discover it.
Columbusing is when you discover something that's existed forever.
It's just that it's existed outside your own culture, nationality, race, or even your neighborhood.
And then you run around and you tell everybody you discovered something that's always been there.
You have Columbused something.
Don't doubt me on this stuff.
Another definition is from the Urban Dictionary: when white people claim they have invented or discovered something that's been around for years, decades, or even centuries.
White people, you got to use the white aspect must be there for there to be Columbusing.
The Beatles, Columbused Chuck Berry.
For example, the Rolling Stones, Columbused Chuck Berry.
They even admitted it.
At any rate, not no, never, never, ever stop.
They are so guilt-ridden.
And they must make sure everybody feels the same pain and suffers the same way they do.
Why isn't it Columbusing when the feminazis think they discovered income inequality?
Well, I'm just asking.
We got a lot to explore tomorrow.
Out of time today.
Thanks for being with us, folks.
