Welcome to today's edition of the Rush 24 7 Podcast.
Yes, greetings to you, music lovers, drill seekers, conversationalists all across the fruited plain.
Here we are, Rush Limbaugh on the left coast, the Excellence and Broadcasting Network.
Great to have you here.
No, live from Los Angeles, because of the holiday coming up.
It's a special edition of Open Line Friday on Thursday.
You know, it's a good thing you played that because I had forgotten that I was even going to do open line Friday on Thursday.
So now I'm committed to it.
So let me explain what it is, folks.
Open line Friday on Thursday.
Very simple.
We're going to do on Friday today what we normally do Friday.
All right.
And that is whatever you want to talk about, fair game.
Normally callers are tightly screened on this program and have to talk about things I care about so that I don't end up getting bored.
Nobody wants that.
But on Friday, see that's what the risk is.
We let anybody on, talk about whatever they want, even if it bores me.
It is my extension of uh fairness, equality, uh tolerance, the new America.
Uh one day a week.
Telephone numbers 800-282-2882 and the email address, El Rushbow at EIB net.com.
Let me get this straight.
I I I need I need to understand that the news media and even congressmen are being prevented from seeing what's going on down on the border and in the numerous processing centers around the country out of concern, of course, for the safety of the illegal alien children.
Meanwhile, now, meanwhile, the Department of Homeland Security is letting these illegals invent families.
I told you this was going to happen.
And I remember when I did mention this that a number of people thought, now come on, Rush.
That's that's that's not what's that.
I don't understand where 25 years people still doubt me.
And I don't think you know it's I don't think it's really doubting me.
I've really come to believe that people still have a tough time accepting exactly who Obama is and exactly what his plans are.
So, for instance, when I mentioned well, anybody can figure out that 55 or 60,000 kids don't just happen to coincidentally show up on the southern border.
That takes some sort of plan and it takes some sort of planning.
And then you add to it, as I said, now the next thing that's gonna happen is they will find their parents because every child needs a parent as well as a village.
Every child needs a parent.
We can't have these children separated.
This is how we tug at the Heart Springs of the American people.
And then the next obvious thing is to track down their parents in El Salvador, Guatemala, wherever else, Honduras, and bring them here.
No, Rush, that's never gonna.
It's exactly what's going on, folks.
Out of concern for the children.
And right here it is, the Department of Homeland Security is letting these illegals invent families if they have to, in order to exploit the loophole in our law, and that is a law from 2002.
It dates back to the uh the Bush administration, which allows children who arrive here from from um uh non-contiguous countries to stay.
If they come from Mayacore, Canada, they can be sent back within 12 or 24 hours, 48, whatever it is.
But if they come from and isn't the coincidental that all these children are coming from non contiguous countries.
That's what I mean by exploiting a loophole in the law.
I I forget why this happened, what what was what was uh but it was not intended for this.
It's it this is another unintended consequence of the 2002 law.
So what what is happening now, I I kid you not, the Department of Homeland Security is letting these illegal children, the unaccompanied uh uh children, invent families in order to exploit that loophole.
They're well that what by invent they're letting them hook up with complete strangers and then pretending that they're relatives just to get across the border and escorted into the U.S. heartland.
And they have to find Democrat-friendly lawyers to make these kinds of arrangements.
Now, on top of that, that's necessary.
We're still not finished.
Because on top of that, the Department of Homeland Security is releasing other quote-unquote alien children to people who are claiming to be relatives, but no proof is required, or as Lanny Davis would say, pff.
So let me just summarize.
The Department of Homeland Security is letting these illegal kids invent families to exploit that 2002 loophole in the law.
And by they're doing that by letting them hook up with complete strangers who pretend they're relatives.
That gets them across the border and escorted into the U.S. heartland, not just California, not just Arizona, just Texas.
That's how they could end up in New York City, it's like it ended up in Long Island.
On top of that, Department of Homeland Security is releasing other alien children to people who are just claiming to be relatives without any proof being required or offered.
People are already in the country illegally, in fact, are claiming, oh, yes, that's my third cousin 14 times removed.
Yes, yes, no problem.
And they're welcomed in.
And we are supposed to believe that the Department of Homeland Security is concerned about the safety of these kids are being turned over to people who don't even know them.
They're being put together with people who don't even know them.
Which what does it all add up to?
It certainly isn't coincidental, and it certainly isn't an outpouring of U.S. compassion that explains this.
There might be some of that, but that's not what explains this.
Now I will go out on a limb here, and I will I will posit the possibility that we may as well accept the fact that the border patrol is no longer a border patrol in terms of the way they're being used by the regime.
You could say that the border patrol now have been converted into taxpayer-paid coyotes.
What's a coyote do?
Coyote arranges transit for an illegal of any age for make or anywhere else across the border, they come in packs, they sardine them in vans, you know, the drill.
The border patrol is escorting these unaccompanied children across the border and connecting them with their so-called relatives who they've never met before.
Exactly what coyotes do.
They're picking up where the Mexican coyotes leave off, literally.
I know that.
Well, this is going to be a very controversial thing to say.
And again, it it, you know, here it's obvious this is what's happening, but so few people can get their arms around it and believe it, that it sounds like once again I'm coming up with another bunch of extreme statements.
I'm just telling you what's going on down there.
I could not invent this.
My mind doesn't work this way.
I could not in any way, shape, manner, or form be involved.
The only way I could come up with this explanation is to watch it happen.
There's no politics in this analysis that I'm giving you here.
I'm just telling you what's happening, as they say on the ground.
The Border Patrol are meeting illegal aliens at the border.
They're escorting them to their destinations in the U.S. as an added bonus, El Fribo.
Now, unlike the Maken Coyotes, they are doing it free.
Well, not really, because we, the taxpayers, are actually paying them to do this.
And uh, every mainstream media, every drive-by media report on the flood of illegals, contains some boilerplate like this.
This is from an AP article.
Quote, after being processed, the migrants will be turned over to U.S. immigration and customs enforcement.
Those planning on staying with family members or friends across the country will be taken to bus terminals or airports, but will be required to report to the nearest ICE facility for case management.
Now bear in mind here, when you're you're a low information voter and you read this on Yahoo News or wherever you go, wherever a low information, if they even do, but I assume they do.
You know, AP, this is AP's in 4,000 newspapers.
It's headlined at Yahoo News and USA, all these all these mobile websites that the low information crowd use on their smartphones are streaming around out there.
They'll read something like that.
Oh, isn't that wonderful?
Why they're just coming here to improve their lives, they're escaping poverty and bondage, and they're coming here to escape their lives, and we are helping.
Oh, aren't we beautiful people?
And then they turn on the radio or whatever, and they hear the truth and they don't believe it.
Because it sounds so unreal.
And this is again, I think it's part of the plan.
And that's why this AP boilerplate is required.
Again, after being processed, the migrants, they would address that yesterday.
Migrants go home.
Migrants were Cesar Chavez's gang.
They came over here and they picked lettuce for a while and they went back home.
These are not migrants.
These are these are refugees when you get right down to it.
But anyway, after being processed, the migrants will be turned over to U.S. immigration and custom by the border patrol.
Those planning on staying with Oh, yeah, like they're just arrived, getting off the bus here.
They're 10 years old, 11 years old, getting off the bus from Chihuahua, and the AP says, yeah, and if they get off the bus, if they decide to stay, fashion that.
If they decide to stay, then they will be turned over to ICE, and they will put them together with uh family members or friends across the country, be taken to bus terminals or airports, and when they get to where they're going, they have to show up at the nearest ICE facility for case management, the 10-year-olds, the 11-year-olds, they have to do that.
And of course, they will.
Now, now bear in mind here, again, what we're being told.
Bear in mind that these illegal aliens have walked up here from Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador.
A trip of nearly a thousand miles.
They're walking, they're there, some of them are on trains, they're freight trains that come up.
One of the freight trains called a death train, and there's been pictures of them.
I mean, sardine in these freight trains.
So they're walking, they're taking trains, somehow getting here.
They've crossed two borders illegally.
They have paid coyotes their life savings.
Who can doubt that they will obediently report sometime in the distant future to the nearest ICE facility to be deported?
That's gonna happen, right?
And another misrepresentation that happens in practically every drive-by news article is the claim that these children from Central America are being misinformed about being able to stay here.
Every story, practically every story contains the notion that they're not really going to get to stay, that they're being misinformed, they're coming here on a false premise, and that after all the process, they're gonna be sent back.
They're not being misinformed.
They will be allowed to stay, and everybody knows it, and Obama wants it.
In fact, many of them are using money for their trip that is sent to them by their friends and relatives who are in the U.S. illegally.
I mean, there is a pipeline line.
There are some of these kids who have friends, relatives, so but they're also being hooked up with people who don't know them.
And it's it's it's it's Democrat Party outreach.
But they know the truth.
They're going to be able to stay.
Look at how many times have you seen the story, if you're paying any attention to this, if you haven't, you just have to trust me.
How many times have you seen the story that the parents of these kids, way back in Guatemala, Il Tonador, and Honduras are sending the kids because they have heard and they have been told that they'll get to stay.
Kids get to stay.
2002 loophole U.S. immigration law.
The parents think that once the kids get the border that they're home free, and then maybe U.S. officials will find the real parents and get them here.
Uh as well.
And it's it's just it's amazing.
You know, we did this poll that came out, the Quinnipiact poll a day or two ago that revealed that Obama is the worst in the in the public opinion poll, the worst president in the modern era.
You would not believe the drive-by and TV cable news network efforts to spin that.
If I have time today, I'll share it with you.
But you don't really need to hear it.
I mean, it's just it's it's obvious.
They're they're spinning the poll.
Well, of course, it's just the modern era.
And it's it's of course because of current events, everybody thinks what's going on in their life at the current time is worse than it's ever been before.
Everything they can do.
And it's the same thing with this.
Everything they can do to report the the regime line on this.
It's just it's just stunning.
So you see, that what I what what we had a guy on the phone yesterday, we didn't get to him, and I uh I wish I had found a way to squeeze him in.
Uh it was somewhere, I think, in the upper Midwest, and his point was going to be that nobody in the media, nobody in Washington, nobody in the New York Washington corridor corridor has the foggiest idea how up in arms people all over this country are about this.
Not just this latest flood with the unaccompanied children, but the whole thing.
He says that the the ruling class, he was gonna well know if he was gonna call them that or not, but he meant Washington leadership.
They're clueless.
They have no idea.
Not that they care either, but they really do not know how fit to be tied.
Even if they see a thousand people showing up at the Murietta California town hall.
And even despite that, more buses are due in there tomorrow with more unaccompanied children.
That these I'll tell you if you want, if if if anybody doubts this, here's a that these illegal aliens, the kids are inventing families, shows that the word about the family loophole has spread and that that's why they're here.
I got to take a quick break.
Grab a sound by real quick.
This is uh grab number one.
This is yesterday in Los Angeles.
Uh never mind.
We can't use that.
Well, let me see.
Uh yeah, go ahead and do it.
This is Harry Ramos, he's the uh mayor pro tem of Murieta, California.
No, I can't use this.
Never mind, throw it out.
Throw it out.
Uh we got squeeze number two in.
There, as I said, mentioned there were a thousand people last night at a uh at a town hall, and the mayor uh chaired the thing.
They talk about illegal aliens and immigrants being brought into their town.
And during the QA, this was heard from one of the guys in the crowd.
You have a handle, a real handle of what this is costing us out of our pockets.
And please use the word illegal aliens.
They came across here illegally.
Cheering Went on and on.
We just added it there for uh time constraints.
Even the people of Muriel, what is this migrants' business?
So here was the mayor's answer to the question of what it is costing them.
I do not have the exact cost up to date.
What we did establish on the first night that we started the planning process is we did identify the need for a funding code so we can track every single hour that is spent on this.
Now, at the end of this, do I have a plan to send Washington to see a big fat bill?
You bet.
Do I have any faith?
Do I have do I have any faith that would be paid?
No.
I you this is just not the kind of stuff, folks, that you associate with the United States of America.
But it's happening.
It's happening right in the middle of our lives at this very moment in time.
Be right back.
Open line Friday on Thursday, and that's because I'm not going to be here tomorrow, folks.
We have a best of show lined up on Independence Day.
We're here on the left coast wrapping up the uh busy broadcast week here.
And we will uh be back in Florida, back in the EIB Southern Command on Monday.
And this is another another great example of how the drive-by media, which really I hate to be redundant, but there it is, it's not media anymore.
It's just Democrats assigned to work at what used to be newsrooms and news organizations.
But now it's just branch offices of the Democrat Party or maybe more specifically branch office of the White House.
They are actually extensions of the regime.
The job numbers today, when you get down to the truth of them, yeah, there were 288,000 jobs created.
If you if you dig deep into government's own numbers, it's not good.
It's horrible, in fact.
And it's not representative of any kind of legitimate economic recovery.
And it's not anything anybody has to make up.
It's right in the numbers.
But the drive-by's are not telling you these numbers.
But you can find them.
They've seen them.
They are just choosing to ignore them.
So as to try to paint the regime's economic recovery in a false positive.
It's the same way that they're treating the uh the Quinnipia Act poll that showed more voters see Obama as the worst president ever.
Well, no, no, not ever, just more modern times, they're saying.
And the Washington Times, I'm sorry, Washington Post headline.
Either Obama is the worst president since World War II, or Americans just have really short memories.
He can't be the worst.
It's just that people don't remember how bad the presidents before Obama were.
Let me tell you something, folks, and this is something that's that's it's obvious.
All of these things going wrong.
This is this is not coincidence.
This is not accidental.
It's not a quirk of fate that so much is going so badly for so long.
It's not a quirk of fate.
It's not cyclical.
It's not that we have uh had our best days, and it's time we paid the price.
It's none of that.
This is happening because of the specificity of policies that have been put in place, particularly by Obama.
But uh you can trace some of this back to the Democrats retaking the House and then having the legislative branch back in 2006.
And then, well, they were sworn in in 2007 of the election was uh was 2006.
It's just you you You have to conclude that there's something that has not happened before going on, a bunch of things at the same time, for six years in a row now.
It's unprecedented.
And it's it's just news media doing everything they can to shape it and form it in the way regime wants it.
Such as this Washington Post said line, either Obama's the worst president since World War II or America's just have really short memories.
Let's do the job numbers before I loop back here to that poll because the poll is a couple days old.
The job numbers, unemployment rates down to 6.1%.
That is the only way, the only way we've got close to 100 million human beings, 100 million Americans who are not working.
And that number goes up every month.
And yet the unemployment rate is coming down.
6.1%.
The only way that can happen is if people, the way they calculate it, the only way it can happen is if people who've been out of work for four years minimum give up trying to find a job.
Those people are no longer called unemployed.
They're just forgotten.
They're not tabulated.
So if you've been on unemployment for four years and you have given up trying to find a job, you don't get counted as unemployed.
And that's the only way that they can keep the unemployment number going down because it's expressed as a percentage of a very declining total workforce.
Now the reported job numbers today show increasing strength in the job market.
June unemployment, according to a survey of businesses, rose by 288,000 jobs.
And the Bureau of Labor Statistics revised their April jobs estimate from 282,000 to 304,000.
And they revised their May estimate up from 217,000 to 224,000.
So we are creating jobs left to right.
Man, oh man, we are just percolating.
We are smoking.
We're steaming right along.
And so the unemployment rate fell from 6.3 to 6.1%.
Well, would you you want the internals?
The number of people aged 16 and older who are not in the labor force increased by 11,000 this past month, while a somewhat lower increase than in months past that still outpaces forecasted retirements.
The number of people 16 and above who are not in the labor force, so another 11,000 people just left the labor force.
That's the labor force participation rate.
The number of people, remember the total job number now, 288,000.
That's the big number they reported.
Got that in your head?
288,000 yippee new jobs.
The number of people taking part-time jobs because they cannot find full-time work increased by 275,000 this month.
Yeah, folks, there's a lot of careers being built on that.
288,000 new jobs, 275,000 are part-time.
In fact, the number of people employed full-time declined by 523,000, while the number of part-time workers increased by 799,000.
That includes those who wanted part-time and those who wanted full-time but could only find part-time work.
Got that?
June, full-time jobs plunged by over half a million.
it.
Part-time jobs surged by 800,000.
That's the most since 1993.
Now, somewhere out there is this number of 288,000 new jobs at the drive-by's, and their their faux economist reporters are doing cartwheels over.
111,000 more people leave the labor force.
275,000 new part-time jobs this month.
The number of people employed full-time declined by over half a million.
The number of part-time workers increased by nearly 800,000.
And the U6 unemployment rate.
The U3 number is that 6.1% unemployment number.
U-1, U-2, U-3, the U-3 numbers what gets reported.
And it is based on not counting people who have left the labor force because they can't find work.
The U6 number does.
The U-6 number counts everybody not working, whether they're trying to find a job or not, but he'd been out of work one month or five years.
And the unemployment rate, the U6 unemployment rate is 12.1%.
Twice as high as the number that is reported.
And then there is this.
One more little tidbit.
Teenage unemployment rose for the third consecutive month.
21% in June.
That's what it was back in February.
These are government numbers.
They are not think tank analyst numbers.
They are not partisan in any way other than the fact that the regime may be doing something to them, but this is what's in the government numbers out today.
Twenty-one percent teenage unemployment.
Now, those people have to do something.
I mean, they're just they've got to do something to fill up their day.
During the last five and a half years of the Obama administration, teenage unemployment has been in the 20s.
It reached a high of 27% in October 2010.
It's been the 19 range only in April and May of this year.
When Bush left office, the teenage unemployment rate was uh 20%.
Uh and one of its lowest levels back then was in May of 2006 at 14%.
So that's in recent years, the best it's been at 14%.
Now it's 21 and continues to climb.
So these job numbers are not indicative of a growing expanding income increasing income producing job market or economy.
Just isn't happening.
There is not unbridled economic growth.
There is not unbridled job creation unless you want to talk about part-time work.
And then part-time work is factored in.
Let's talk about Obamacare.
They don't get it, at least through their employer.
In addition to these, and let's not forget this other thing.
The flood of illegal immigrants crossing the border, 700,000 a year, which is which is way more than the peak of the Ellis Island years, which was 193,000 a month, or a year, there's no work.
There's no job market to absorb this many people, which is why part-time is what is uh is available.
I'd say another quick timeout.
Be good folks, be back right after this.
Don't go away.
Welcome back, my friends.
Rush Limbaugh, half my brain tied behind my back just to make it fair.
Here is in a nutshell.
This is what you need to know about the jobs report number today.
This is what you need to know.
500,000 full-time jobs were lost in June, while 799,000 low-paying part-time jobs were created.
That's the most since 1993.
800,000 low-paying part-time jobs.
That's what you need that's how you get close to the 288,000 number.
500,000 full-time jobs lost.
You're gonna see all day and all weekend as the drive-by's pump this up.
Wow, 288,000 new jobs, five straight months of 200,000 plus jobs created, unemployment rate down to 6.1%.
Well, in Obama great.
Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
The number.
And it's in the same report that that 288,000 number is in.
Half a million full-time jobs lost in June.
799,000 part-time jobs created.
Remember how we were told it was a lie that Obamacare would cause employers to drive people to part-time jobs.
Remember how we were all told that?
There were a number of us who pointed out that this is going to cause employers to shift people from part-time to full or full-time to part-time, so they do not have to cover them.
The costs are going to be so high that employers are going to shift, they're going to cut hours down to below 30 a week, making them part-time so that they are exempt from the mandate that they be provided health insurance.
We were told that that was a lie, that Obamacare would cause that to happen.
We were told that there was no evidence of that happening.
Well, now we have the evidence.
We have the evidence.
No, no, no, no, no.
Obamacare is going to be so attractive to employers.
It's going to be so attractive.
It's not going to cause that to happen.
And it's been happening long before this.
This is just it just keeps growing.
More and more people are being converted to part-time.
And losing their health care in the process.
And they told us we were crazy for saying that.
They told us that we were nuts for thinking that.
Grab a call, open line Friday on Thursday.
Always try to get a call in the first hour.
This is Josh, Selena, Ohio.
Great to have you, sir.
Hello.
Hello, Russ.
Thanks for taking my call.
Very, very appreciative.
We are not going to be able to do that.
You bet.
We really appreciate you.
Real quick before I get to my two points.
I remember back in 2008 you saying that, you know, the election of Barack Obama was not going to help with the race issue.
And I was one saying, you know, I think maybe it might a little bit.
Well, you were right as usual.
It has obviously not.
But I got two things.
Number one, you had talked about the kids coming over the border.
I had heard on the news, I think just this morning, border patrol agents, um, it was some congressmen, I think, saying it, that border patrol agents are actually changing diapers.
Yeah, they are.
And they're not allowing members of Congress to come in and visit these kids in these refugee centers either.
But the border patrol, that's what I mean.
Border patroller, you're right.
They're changing diapers.
My question, my question is, though, is are are government just going in and plucking these kids away from their families and these other countries, or are they are the families willingly giving these small?
I mean, if they're in diapers, they're small.
They're not even teenagers.
I mean, they're going into their homes and saying, you know, give us your your kids.
I mean, how is that happening?
Well, it's a question that a number of us have been asking.
How why would parents in these Central American countries Do this.
And the answer is it's how the parents can also end up here.
Takes some time, but they all want a better life for their kids.
Parents have that in common.
The United States is a better place no matter what than where they live now.
Get them out, get them there, and then maybe the parents can come in.
And of course, the word's gone out to the parents that if the kids get here, they get here, they're allowed to stay.
They know the loophole.
All of this is not accidental or coincidental.
Another exciting hour in the can, folks.
