Time Text
Hi folks and welcome back.
Doing what I was born to do, Rush Limbaugh, sitting behind a golden EIB microphone, executing assigned host duties flawlessly.
Absolutely mistakes.
It's great to have you with us.
Telephone number if you want to be on the program 800-282-2882.
And the email address, L Rushbow at EIB net.com.
It happened very quietly.
It happened without any fanfare whatsoever.
It happened in the dead of night under the cover of darkness.
It happened without a single word being mentioned.
It had to be discovered.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has now been caught warming the past and cooling the present.
July 2012, according to NOAA, became the hottest month on record in the United States during a summer that was declared too hot to handle by NASA scientists.
That summer, more than half the country was experiencing drought and wildfires had scorched more than 1.3 million acres of land, according to NASA.
According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's National Climatic Data Center in 2012, the average temperature for the contiguous U.S. during July was 77.6 degrees.
3.3 degrees above the 20th century average, marking the warmest July and all-time warmest month on record for the nation in a period of record that dates back to 1895.
That's what they reported, and they did do that with a lot of fanfare.
Oh yeah.
July 2012 was said to be the hottest month.
The all-time warmest month on record since 1895.
Now, of course, I poo-pooed that immediately because what w is what happened before 1895 irrelevant here?
How many centuries were there before 1895?
How many millennia were there?
We don't know.
Oh, yes, we do, Mr. Limbaugh, because we have the prettiph hockey stick uh uh formula that was prevented by an environmentalist uh from a university and and and it's clear that that it was very, very bad.
Oh, really?
And how do we get that?
Well, they they sample ice corpse and tree rings.
Oh, that's how they okay.
So other than that, a hockey stick graph, ice cores and tree rings, we don't know what the temperatures were before 1895.
That's right, Mr. Lou, which means we don't know what the temperatures were before 1895.
Which leads me to ask another question here about global warming.
Would somebody please explain to me?
Who decided, where is it written that what is happening on Earth now climate-wise is the norm, and any variation from it is a crisis.
How in the world can we know?
Even 1895 forward.
That's such a smidgen, a small period of time to keep records, and then try to extrapolate in the history of the planet.
But even more than that, the vanity of the environmentalist wackos to conclude that right now is normal.
And anything warmer, and any violent hurricane never before been this bad, never gonna get this bad again.
What?
It's absurd.
The whole thing has always been intellectually absurd.
There's another thing, a bunch of environmentalist wackos have had to Uh step back.
A large consensus of scientists expected the Great Lakes to start losing their volume.
Contrary to the ocean's rising, the Great Lakes were supposed to get shallower and shallower because of global warming and evaporation, and who knows whatever reason.
There's a problem.
The Great Lakes are rising, and they're rising rapidly.
The Great Lakes are up feet in just the last year, in total violation of every global warming scientist model.
There are still icebergs on some of the Great Lakes.
Yes, my friends, Lake Superior, I believe.
Lake Superior is up.
All the Great Lakes are up, and they should have been down, and they should have been getting shallower, and they're not, and it's not predicted in the models, and the models are the only thing we've got that says there's global warming.
There is no data.
There is no empirical data.
There's still zero nada.
It's all based on model forecasts.
For 2100, for 2005, for 2075.
What is one of the greatest hoaxes ever pulled over on people?
But now these scientists, they're really puzzled.
I mean, some of these loco weeds actually believe this stuff.
They're not just engaging in politics and lying on purpose of being paid for it.
Some of them actually believe it.
And so when the Great Lakes started rising, that's the exact opposite of what's supposed to happen.
Well, by the same token, July 2012, hottest year on record.
Had to be, because they've been predicting this.
The models said this was going to happen.
It turns out they made it all up.
Folks.
Because under cover of darkness, the hottest July for the nation on record is now 1936.
Two years ago, during the scorching summer of 2012, July 1936 lost its place on the leaderboard.
July 2012 became the hottest month on record in the U.S. Now, as if by magic.
And according to NOAA's own data, July 1936 is now the hottest month on record again.
It just happened.
They didn't announce it.
They didn't say, we're sorry.
We got it wrong.
They just put it up there.
You can't get any clearer proof that the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration adjusted past temperatures.
You cannot escape it.
And it is another bureaucracy of the federal government that has been corrupted by the leftists who populate it.
And as a noted expert in the matter named Watts, Anthony Watts is the climate blogger, as he has pointed out.
This isn't just some issue with gridding or anomalies or method.
It's about NOAA not being able to present historical climate information of the U.S. accurately.
In one report, they give one number, in another they give a different one with no explanation to public as to why this simply isn't acceptable.
It is not being honest with the public, and it isn't scientific, and it violates the Data Quality Act.
That's what Anthony Watts wrote.
It's like the unemployment data.
And in fact, do you recall, ladies and gentlemen?
It was about a month ago that there were there was a story that a section of the Antarctic ice sheet broke away.
And I shared with you, and I was reading my tech blogs when that happened.
And these tech bloggers, it was actually fascinating.
They were scared to death.
You could read the fear.
They thought They were doomed.
This proved global warming.
The Antarctic was breaking up much sooner than anybody predicted.
Oh no, this meant melting ice and rising sea levels, and they were scared to death.
And then the next day, we found that it's a quite normal occurrence.
And in fact, uh, ladies and gentlemen, there is a simple fact it can't be denied, Antarctic sea ice is growing.
There's that yes, that's the the the there were some explorers that went down to the to the Antarctica to prove global warming, and they got stuck in ice they didn't know was there.
Their little boat that contained a consensus of scientists got stuck in ice that they didn't know was there.
So they had to get a bunch of icebreakers out there.
And I think a Chicom icebreaker actually got stuck in the ice, too.
It was a while before they could be rescued.
June 29, 2014, the sea ice covering or coverage around Antarctica over the weekend marked a record high with the ice surrounding the continent measuring at 2.07 million square kilometers.
According to an environmentalist and author who says the ice there has actually been increasing since 1979, despite continued warnings of global.
So just in one day, look what we've got.
More ice than ever since 1979 at Antarctica when we're told it's breaking apart and melting, and all of a sudden NOAA under the cover of darkness, ah, sorry.
July 1936 still is the hottest month on record.
July 2012 actually wasn't close.
So they've admitted they were lying about that.
There's no apology.
There is no excuse us, there's no oops, our data was incorrect.
They just took it down.
Took down the fact that July 2012 was the hottest.
And July 2012 being the hottest was mandatory if everything else they're saying is true.
Simple fact of the matter is there hasn't been any warning, uh warming in 15 years.
This is the biggest problem the wackos have, and they've they've had to come up with all kinds of oddball explanations for it.
Well, you know what, just a temporary delay, and it actually is going to make it even worse when it resumes its normal warming speed and so forth.
They're just wrong.
They're just making it up.
It's all predictions in computer models.
If I if I could simplify, boil this whole global warming climate change argument down to one thing.
I'm always searching for the simplest way to persuade.
And I've had people say, Rush, why do you care so much?
Because it's this is emblematic of how the left corrupts and creates panic in people, after which they demand the government do so.
This is how government grows.
This is how people lose liberty with with little hoaxes like this.
The government lies about something, scientists lie about something, people panic, oh my God, my children, oh my God, we're gonna boy.
Unless the government does something.
And then the government comes up with ideas to fix it.
And what they involve you giving up freedom, you paying higher energy prices, you driving smaller cars, you uh dialing back your lifestyle.
That's the solution.
And it's unproven.
The only thing there is that says there might be global warming is a bunch of computer models scientists have put together with corrupt data that they've entered in to be analyzed.
And that is why every catastrophe is minimum 20 years from now, so that they can never be proven wrong.
Have you ever noticed the global warming never tell you what it's gonna be next year?
The global warming people never tell you what the sea level rise is going to happen in the next six months.
I mean, if we're warming, we're warming.
Well, Mr. Limbo, it doesn't happen that fast.
Of course it doesn't, but I've been hearing all this from 1980.
Back in 1980, they said they had that we had 20 years.
Well, it's been 40 almost.
And there's nothing to it.
And now they simply erased July 2012.
They didn't tell anybody.
Just reinstall July 1936.
Hottest month on record, which totally obliterates everything they have said recently about current conditions and what they mean to the planet for the next hundred years.
It's I I just again a reason for the books, folks.
Critical thinking, analytical thinking, curiosity, uh uh an automatic suspicion of political agendas.
That's what I think is necessary to correct some of this.
Not all needs to be a lot done, but that's our little contribution.
Be right back.
Meanwhile, in Washington, ladies and gentlemen, it's on to the next crisis.
President Obama has already moved on his today warning that seven hundred thousand jobs could be at risk if Congress fails to reauthorize the highway trust fund this summer.
It was just a few minutes ago Obama said if this Congress does not act by the end of the summer, the highway trust fund will run out.
You see, everything is a crisis.
Everything has to be rushed through.
He's been president for six years, and we're on the verge of losing 700,000 additional jobs, all because of the Republicans.
If they don't reauthorize the highway trust fund, and it has to be now.
And so Obama, this is is it's all part of the November election.
Just flood the zone with all these demands that help people and put the Republicans in the position of opposing it so that they look like they don't care about people.
We move on.
Here's Bob in Kansas City.
Bob, great to have you on the EIB network.
Hello.
Rush.
Yeah.
It's a pleasure.
It's a pleasure.
Thank you, Bob.
This I'm gonna take this off my bucket list.
Well, cool.
Can you hear me?
I do indeed.
Okay, thank you.
Uh by the way, I've been on hold for a while, but even that was a pleasure because I've got I got to listen to all those uh parodies that you have.
Oh, yeah.
You don't hear that on the radio normally because you have commercials during that time based on the well, you have heard them.
They have aired at times on the show when they have been irrelevant time wise, but yes, they do.
They do go into it.
Do you need to have you been holding on that long?
You need a bathroom break?
I I already did.
Okay, cool.
Snurley took care of that.
He said I had time, so it's cool.
But but thank you.
Um I was calling about was um uh another issue that Obama has created, and then he's trying to point out that it's not his fault at someone else's.
But the problems at the border, the overcrowding, the unaccompanied minors, all that are his own making.
He's not enforcing the current laws, and by not enforcing the current laws, he uh we we have all these problems, and he now he's blaming them on Congress.
And the Congress already has passed laws that he's not enforcing.
Well, it's a little more complicated than that, and I'll explain why.
The law says, the current law says, that unaccompanied children who arrive illegally from nations contiguous to the United States, which are Mexico and Canada, can be sent back automatically.
But there is an exception to the law.
If children arrive from nations who are not contiguous with the United States, they cannot be sent back.
Well, guess where they're coming from?
They're coming from El Salvador, not contiguous.
They're coming from Guatemala, not contiguous.
They're coming from uh Ecuador, I think.
They're non Contiguous.
Not an accident either.
I mean, that's quite a lot of territory.
These young kids are managing to traverse and travel.
Now, I'm gonna have to double check this, but I think this is a Bush era immigration law.
I could be wrong about that.
I read this on the fly last night.
Uh, but I don't think that the contiguous law is of Obama's making.
I again, I could be wrong about it, but he's got an out on that, and it's it's this is a it is a problem.
If you're gonna obey the law, and that's always up for grabs for Obama.
The soft ground that he's on here is that if he doesn't like a law, he uh oftentimes break it.
If he does like a law, he will adhere to it.
Well, in this case, he loves this law.
He loves the fact that we cannot send them back.
We cannot send them back.
Now you're right, Obama killed the border fence.
Obama is responsible for welcoming everybody.
I don't doubt that for a minute.
Obama and the Democrat Party are totally responsible.
You don't think in these non-contiguous countries that the word hasn't gone out that if you get there, you can stay.
There's Pelosi down there grieving them, saying, oh man, they're so lovable, there's so much humanity, sparkling humanity.
I wish Paul and I could take them all home.
That's her husband, who's panicked when he heard that.
But regardless, the Democrats are making it clear to anybody in the world.
No, no, no, I take it back.
They're making it clear to the poor of the world that they got a home here.
If you just got all you gotta do is get here.
And the um uh law is they can't be sent back.
And so that what what'll happen is that an effort will be made to find their parents and unite them with their parents here.
And I'm gonna have to double check, but I I think the contiguous aspect of immigration law does date back to Bush.
I'm pretty sure that I read that accurately uh last night.
In another related bit of news, this is from the Daily Caller.
Only one in five Americans want to see additional immigration.
Only one, it's 20%.
Only 20% of the American people want additional immigration.
What are the Democrats telling the Republicans?
You better sign on to it, or you're never gonna get another Hispanic vote, and you're never gonna win the presidency.
And we Democrats, we really want you to win the presidency now and then so we can blame everything on you.
We don't want you never to win it.
And you're gonna have to get, you're gonna have to get some love from the Hispanics here.
And so the Republicans are buying into that, left and right, obviously.
But only two out of ten Americans want to see additional immigration.
Two in five Americans want less, says a new Gallup poll, June 27th.
It helps to explain why the GOP has rejected the media touted lobbying push for the Senate's June 2013 immigration boosting bill.
The polling data, and the regime has this polling data too.
This is why they're doubling down on the other direction.
They're trying to scare the Republicans.
You better get this done by 40.
You better get this done by August, you better get there.
You don't have a prayer.
And the Democrats want it done because it won't get done after November when they lose the elections.
But if you see, if if what Obama says is true, the vast majority of Americans do want amnesty.
He's out there saying this, well, the American people is clear.
And the Hispanic population of America is clear.
So he's out there misrepresenting public opinion on this.
If what Obama claims is true, that the vast majority of Americans want amnesty, then I guarantee you the Republicans in Congress would be tripping all over themselves to pass it.
But just as Obama lied About how America wanted Obamacare, he's lying about amnesty.
Twenty percent of the American people want additional immigration.
If it were 50% or more, the Republicans couldn't, you couldn't stop them.
Progressives and business groups have spent one and a half billion dollars since 2008 pushing for increased immigration and routinely insist the public supports their version of comprehensive immigration reform.
We've been saying, folks, it's another one of these examples.
We've been saying until we're blue in the face that Obama is simply misrepresenting all this when he claims most Americans support amnesty, that most Americans support blanket immigration.
They don't.
It's one in five, which equals two in ten, which equals twenty percent.
It was just on June 27, just what, four days ago, Obama was on Good Morning America.
He said the majority of the American people want to see immigration reform done.
He said it yesterday in the Rose Guard.
They don't.
We don't.
Only 20% do.
And an investors business daily tip poll released on Monday.
59% blame Obama for the flood of child border crossings.
This has not been in the in the real world where real people live and have thoughts.
This has been a devastating two weeks for Obama.
He's losing in droves at the Supreme Court.
Public opinion is rejecting him overwhelmingly.
And he just goes out and lies about it.
The late June survey found that public largely blames Obama policies for the crisis in Iraq, too.
And believes that lost IRS emails are an administration effort to cover up wrongdoing.
59% of the American people believe that 59% well, it's an investor's business daily tip poll.
I mean, you might want to discount the poll, but you can't reject this one if you don't reject them all.
If you're going to accept them, you accept them.
59% blame Obama for the flood of child border crossings.
The public largely blames Obama's policies for the crisis in Iraq and blames Obama, believes the lost IRS emails are an Obama effort to cover up wrongdoing at the IRS.
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, my memory was correct.
The law about non-contiguous countries is part of the Unaccompanied Alien Children Act.
It was signed into law by George W. Bush in 2002.
And it specifically states that if the children arrive from a nation not contiguous with the United States, meaning for those who in real India, if we don't share a border, like Meiko and Canada are contiguous.
But El Salvador, Honduras, and Guatemala are not.
Interestingly, they are contiguous with Meiko.
But they are not contiguous with us.
And so those children, when they arrive, they get stay.
And then unsaid is, and it's, I don't know when Obama discovered this loophole, but it's been around since 2002.
Clearly, it is being exploited.
There's no way out of the blue in the summer of 2014 that 60,000 unaccompanied kids start showing up on the Hobo Express.
It just doesn't happen on its own.
What kind of parents would just, you know, wave goodbye to little Jose at the front door and say, make sure and write?
They're being the parents know that if the kids get there, they get to stay, and that's what matters to them.
And it's a Bush-era law.
So Obama's founded is exploiting it, and trying to put pressure on the Republicans to do amnesty as we speak.
A black Mississippi pastor has emerged to claim that Senator Thad Cochran's campaign paid thousands of Democrats $15 each to vote in the June 24 GOP runoff and that he was part of the scheme.
His name is Reverend Steve Fielder.
He's an associate pastor of the first Union Missionary Baptist Church in Meridian, Mississippi.
He says that Cochran's campaign told him to offer blacks $15 each and to vote for Thad.
The Cochrane campaign paid for those black votes.
Why didn't the Republicans think of that sooner?
They want the black vote.
Apparently, that's how you do it.
We got audio soundbite on that, and we'll hold those over for tomorrow.
Also, on ESPN wringing their hands over when they finally forced the Redskins to change their name, how much is it going to cost?
And they were kind of shocked to find out how much.
And they think, wow, we didn't think it cost that much.
So uh sports journalists admit they don't know much about economics.
It's a start, and we will see you tomorrow.
