Time Text
What am I doing with my phone all the time?
I went to New York last night for dinner.
I went up to Patsy's for dinner.
The first time I went to Patsy's.
I saw Joey and I saw Rose and I saw Sally.
I went to dinner at Patsy's for the first time in many, many years.
And I'm just, I'm trying to get the location to log on this stupid phone.
And it won't log.
That's all.
So that's what I'm playing around with the phone for.
Live from the Southern Command in sunny South Florida.
It's open line Friday.
I took two phones in there with me and I'm trying to get it to log on both locations of both phones and it won't do it.
And there are ways I've found to get the locations to log.
You turn the phone off and on or you recycle the phone, the power restart.
Sometimes plug it in and charge it and unplug it.
None of that's working.
So I'm afraid the location ain't going to get logged, which is asinine because I was there with two phones.
You know, most people turn the location services off because they think everybody's tracking them.
I love it.
I think it's the most amazing thing.
But I realize I'm weird that way.
No, New York knows where I was, not where I'm going and not where I am.
Big difference.
Okay, folks, it's Open Line Friday, which means we got one big broadcast hour left.
And I'm trying to get as many phone calls in as I can about whatever you want to talk about.
The phone number is 800-282-2882.
But look, there's still some stuff in this immigration stack.
I mean, it is huge today.
I've got this cheat sheet that has been found at the border that coaches illegals on how to stay in the U.S.
So there's a cheat sheet, which means that we're not being told.
Some people are lying to us.
Oh, well, no, we didn't.
I mean, well, no, we didn't mean to come here.
Well, no, I mean, we're just if there's a cheat sheet, they're being coached to lie.
We are being lied to by Democrats who tell us that the objective is to send them back or to something else other than welcome them and make them citizens, ASAP.
We're being lied to about this.
The Democrats obviously want these people to stay.
That's not a mystery for all the obvious reasons.
Now, the cheat sheet is all over the place.
Law enforcement officials have been finding cheat sheets all over the border, and they're being used by illegal immigrants to try to stay in the U.S. and not get deported after they've been caught.
The only thing that's not clear is who wrote the cheat sheet.
Where does it come from?
We can guess, and the guess is pretty educated.
If there were fingerprints, we would find Chuck Schumer's and Nancy Pelosi's and Mark Zuckerberg's and Tom Donahoe at the convention, the Chamber of Commerce.
Maybe the same people did the Flyers in Mississippi.
And look, and I've still got that.
Pro-Cochran PAC, paid, embattled Democrat consultant for get out the vote telephone calls.
This is Mitzi Bickers is her name.
Vickers is the former head of the Atlanta Scrool Board and a pastor at the city's Emmanuel Baptist Church.
A church was used illegally to find voters, to place robocalls, run pamphlets all over town in violation of churches and their tax exempt status, being involved in politics.
The church knows that nobody's going to come after them.
Nothing is going to happen.
Now, Chris McDaniel is not going away.
And he's saying these people, he's, we're not demanding a recount.
We want the whole thing looked at.
These votes were illegal.
These votes were cast illegally by people who should not have been voting.
And we're not quitting until we track it all down.
Now, Mitzi Vickers is just one person who was used for the pamphlets and for the robocalls.
And she was hired by Henry Barber, who is the nephew of Haley Barber.
So the Republicans hired this Democrat.
A Republican.
They paid her 40 grand for this.
That's the story.
It's in the Daily Caller.
$44,000.
National Review Online has a huge story on this by Ileana Johnson.
She was, it says here, a controversial political consultant.
She paid $44,000 to conduct political phone calls.
Henry Barber, the head of Mississippi Conservatives PAC and the nephew of former Mississippi Governor Haley Barber, confirmed that his PAC paid Mitzi Vickers to make paid telephone calls to potential Cochrane supporters.
Mitzi Bickers, a former head of the Atlanta School Board, pastor at the Emmanuel Baptist Church, she's also a political operative, got into trouble last year after she failed to disclose a big sum of money she earned working on campaigns.
Records compiled by the Sunlight Foundation, which tracks political spending, show that Mississippi Conservatives PAC paid two groups operated by Mitzi Bickers, the Bickers Group and Pirouette Strategies.
Pirouette Strategies got $25,000 from the PAC on June 20th.
The Bickers Group got $19,660 on June 23rd.
Just four days ago.
And both expenditures went towards get out the vote phone services.
So it could well be.
Missy Bickers was hired to target black voters.
Henry Barber willingly admits the demographic, which leans heavily Democrat, became a key focal point for the PAC and the Cochrane campaign after the incumbent lost to McDaniel in the initial June 3rd primary by 2,000 votes.
So I've got a couple of sound bites about this coming up, but back to this cheat sheet business.
Here are some of the questions, not the questions, some of the bits of advice on the cheat sheet.
And they're all printed in Spanish.
And some of the statements in Spanish on these cheat sheets, why did you abandon your country?
It's a heads up.
These are questions you're going to be asked and the answers are given.
Why did you abandon your country?
Because of poverty and misery.
You're in fear of your government and afraid to live in your country.
You are afraid of extortion from the Maris MS-13 gang.
Do you have family in the U.S.?
Is this the first time you've come into this country?
Did you swim across the river?
Somebody told you that if you brought a minor child into the U.S., you could stay.
Those are some of the things that they are coached to say In order to stay.
So there's an ongoing effort to get these people, these young unaccompanied children, and every other illegal immigrant to stay in the country.
There's no effort being made, serious effort to deport them, to send them home.
And now that the Democrats Chuck Schumer and Pelosi are on the humanitarian mission that we all have to legalize as many of these people and make them full-fledged in this unit.
This is the impetus now that has taken on.
Get this New York City has created what advocates say is the nation's first system of public defenders for poor immigrants facing deportation.
The New York Immigrant Family Unity Project will cover all eligible immigrant city residents detained in the system and appearing in immigration courts in New York City or the New Jersey cities of Elizabeth and Newark.
Lawmakers approved $5 million for the initiative as part of a $75 billion budget passed early Thursday for the fiscal year, which starts July 1st.
So there is now a government-created agency that pays New York lawyers to represent as public defenders illegal immigrants so that they can stay in New York.
It's no effort otherwise.
Bloomberg News, New York's 500,000 undocumented immigrants will now be able to open bank accounts, visit libraries, and use medical clinics thanks to an official municipal ID card approved by the city council.
Amnesty is exactly, they're already doing it in New York.
ID cards for undocumented immigrants.
They can open bank accounts, visit libraries, use medical clinics.
They don't have any money.
The measure, backed by Mayor Bill de Blasio, passed at a 43-3 vote with two abstentions.
It passed yesterday.
The photo IDs will display the holder's name, birth date, address, and at the cardholder's option, a self-designated gender.
It sends a simple and clear message that we are a city that believes in including everyone.
Council Speaker Melissa Mark Vivarito said, we don't accept that some people can be left out because of their immigration status, how they identify their gender, or whether they may be homeless.
So in a city where 40% of the residents were born outside the U.S., it's clear what's happening here.
A bunch of politicians are trying to gain political support and backing from undocumented newcomers who will soon be able to vote by providing them all of these benefits.
There are programs to help them lease apartments, apply for scruple, or city services.
And it's in the city budget.
Undocumented, 500,000 undocumented immigrants will be able to open bank accounts, visit libraries, use medical clinics thanks to an official municipal identification card.
Now, apparently, it's okay for these people to have a photo ID card.
But we can't have certain other minorities have a photo ID card to vote.
No way on that.
But it's clearly okay in this circumstance.
And we're not through.
Long Island facility-eyed to house influx of immigrant children.
A Long Island facility is being looked at as a possible temporary housing for some of the thousands of children steaming over the streaming over the U.S.-Mexico border without guardians.
The federal government is considering using Pere Green Business Park at 15 Grumman Road, the former Grumman Corporation facility in Beth Page.
It's one of five New York facilities that the government has examined.
Representative Steve Israel, a Democrat representing Huntington, said that it's not a viable solution to simply place unaccompanied kids from Central American temporary shelters.
No, we have a home for them here, and we're going to welcome them in to Beth Page.
Sanctuary cities, liberal Democrats, amnesty is essentially already happening, folks.
Let me posit something.
See what you would think of this.
Is it a stretch?
Would it be a stretch to say that what we are witnessing on the border is pretty close to a shakedown?
Look at what's happened.
Look at what we've learned today.
Look at just what's going on in New York and New Jersey alone that involves the unaccompanied children crossing the border.
There are already transportation systems.
The jobs were offered in January in a posting on a government website, January 29th.
There are already transportation systems in place to take some of these kids to who knows where in the country.
We know that one of the setups is on Long Island in Beth Page.
We know that in New York City, illegals, children and otherwise, are being given ID cards with access to services and schools and medical treatment and whatever else they need, but they're being given official IDs.
This is happening in Newark and other cities in New Jersey and probably in a lot of other cities.
So could we say that with this massive influx, which again, because of the posting of job availability back in January,
and again, refresh your memory, there was a posting on a government website on January 29th seeking transportation companies and logistics services providers to handle an upcoming influx or arrival of 65,000 immigrant children.
It's on a government website back in January.
Now it's happening.
Now there are people in place accepting them and transporting them in part to New York and New Jersey and who knows where else.
So it looks like essentially Obama is basically telling Congress, go ahead, you approve amnesty or I'm just going to invite every person from Mexico to Argentina to El Salvador here to this country.
I'm going to shelter them.
I'm going to feed them.
We're going to house them on your tax dollar.
And there isn't a damn thing you can do to stop me.
There isn't a damn thing you can do to stop it.
In fact, nobody is trying to stop it.
It's just the exact opposite.
And you couple this with Josh Ernest telling F. Chuck Todd, look, we're not going to wait around forever to Congress to write a law.
If they don't, we're just going to go ahead and do it.
Ditto Chuck Schumer, ditto Nancy Pelosi, who's down there welcoming them, greeting them.
What else could you say?
I mean, the public face of Obama is, oh, yeah, he's going on to do not stay, do not come, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
That is for domestic public consumption.
But take a look at what's really happening.
Here's Vicki in Brooksville, Kentucky, as we head back to the phones on Open Line Friday.
Glad you waited.
Great to have you here.
Hi.
Thank you, Mr. Lumbaugh.
It's a pleasure.
Thank you.
I am calling you to officially bow out of politics.
I am so sick of what is going on.
This Cochrane thing was the last straw.
I can't take it anymore.
My country isn't my country.
Laws don't mean anything.
These people are downright evil.
I don't care if they're Democrats or Republicans.
There's a handful of people that I still believe in.
Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, maybe Rand Paul, although my own very own senator is getting a little iffy on me.
I don't know what to do.
I can't vote for anybody.
I don't believe anybody.
They all lie.
I just don't know where I am anymore.
I feel like I woke up on, I don't know, Mars one day, and I can't take it anymore.
My country, I've got a seven-year-old grandson that I am terrified for.
Nothing is the way that it's supposed to be.
Up is down, down is up, inside is outside.
I don't know where to turn.
And you can't trust anybody, anybody.
When the Democrats and the Republicans are getting together to undo elections, what do you do?
And Boehner and all the rest of the Republicans are doing nothing.
Do they think they're going to win?
Do they think they're going to have, does Cochrane really think that the black people that voted for him for this primary are going to vote for him for senator?
I don't think he knows they voted for him.
Oh, I mean, then he needs to be put into an asylum.
No, we are already in it.
You have just described yourself as a resident of an asylum.
That's exactly what it sounded like.
You feel like you're in asylum.
That's exactly how I feel.
That's exactly how I feel.
I mean, I have tears in my eyes.
I don't know which way to turn anymore.
The people that are decent and honest, I mean, look at what they did to the poor governor of Wisconsin.
I mean, it's just now coming out today.
I saw a little blurb on Fox News that they're actually, the prosecutor actually came out and said, gee whiz, we didn't mean to say that he had actually done anything wrong.
We were just reporting to the public.
Now, what a crime.
What they tried to do.
They were forced here.
And it was not by the Republican Party, by the way.
They were forced by conservative media, these phony baloney Democrat prosecutors into admitting there was never a case.
They never had a case against Scott Walker.
They tried to put forth.
You're exactly right.
I know exactly how you feel.
It's a profoundly frustrating thing.
But the country's worth saving is the thing it's worth trying to save.
You know, I remember Ronaldus Magnus.
I remember so much about Reagan, and I remember so many ways that he was mischaracterized and things that he said.
But one of the things that he always said, and I'm bouncing off of our last caller here, and I know many of you were nodding your heads or pounding the dashboard in agreement with what she was saying.
I know it feels like we've all of a sudden become the inmates in an asylum, except we're not crazy.
Everybody else is.
People running it are the ones that need to be committed.
Somehow we ended up in the straitjackets.
Ronald Reagan always said of the Soviet Union that it would implode on its own at some point in history, some point in the future, simply on the basis of its own immorality.
Now, that didn't mean he just sat around and waited for it to happen.
He had to give it a push, tried any number of ways, but Reagan was the only one who ever did.
Everybody else wanted to tolerate them, accommodate them, appease them.
And some of them, Americans, even envied them, as perverted as that was.
It used to be, probably when you were growing up, same time I was growing up, it used to be that evil eventually got its due.
That liars and cheats, scumbags eventually got caught up with.
And the truth will out, and that goodness and righteousness will prevail and all of that.
And if you were brought up believing that, you're probably questioning it.
Well, yeah, okay.
Well, all I'm seeing is that the reprobates and you're seeing the liars and the cheats and the hypocrites and the destructors succeeding and triumphing precisely because they pay no attention to the law and there's nobody enforcing the law.
So the rule of law doesn't, and that's the glue that holds free societies together.
And it seems that the glue is gone.
And so you wonder, is everything you grew up believing really not true?
Is the natural order of things for evil to triumph?
And is the natural order of things, is life a constant battle against the triumph of evil?
And it is.
Now, at some point, if nothing happens, I can guarantee you that New York is going to implode on itself at some point.
I don't know when, but this cannot continue.
All of these people that they are importing that are not productive, that can't work because they can't do anything, that can't speak the language, at some point, even New Yorkers are going to get fed up at having more and more of whatever income they have taken to support it.
I don't know when.
I don't know how long it's going to take.
But that is just common sense.
Because these elitist liberals who think they're being better and bigger than everybody by associating, accommodating, and absorbing all the, once it starts to impact them, they're able to insulate themselves.
They're able to force all of this misery on everybody else and insulate them.
Washington is insulated from all this.
You go to Washington and you do find the shining city on a hill.
You find unemployment at 2%.
You find everybody doing well.
You find vast amounts of high wages, high salary, income.
Everybody's working.
Everybody's happy going out and having dinner and cocktails.
They're all having, but that's not the way it is for everybody else that has to live on the crap that comes out of that town.
So Washington is never going to be impacted by this, but some cities are.
At some point, all of this is going to implode.
But if you just sit around and wait for that, it means the country's going to go with it.
I don't pretend to have the answer.
Well, I have the answer.
I don't know how to affect it.
The answer is what you and I believe.
The answer is a return to the principles of the nation's founding.
The answer is go back to whatever it is that made this country the greatest place on earth for human beings.
But we're up against people that have no interest in that because they resent it or hate it because they didn't think they were included in it or whatever nonsense.
In the meantime, it's painful to watch what happens.
And everybody becomes self-focused, trying to protect themselves from all of this happening to them.
Sense of community sometimes evaporates.
I don't know.
It's all.
I always thought that it would never get this far.
I thought people would erupt and resist and protest long before we got to this degree of disintegration.
Anyway, this next story, this is, folks, this is hilarious.
Reporters at a Friday night dinner in honor of Marion Berry's autobiography.
He's the council member Ward 8 in Washington.
And he has just published his own book, his autobiographies.
They had a dinner party in honor, a book party for the guy.
A reporter asked Marion Berry at the book party what Marion Berry thought of the yoga tax.
There is now, because of Obamacare, there's a tax on yoga classes and gym memberships.
And Marion Berry became agitated and outraged to learn that there was a tax on yogurt.
Marion Berry said yogurt is really more healthy than some other things, as is cottage cheese.
I don't know who proposed that.
I think it's an asinine idea.
Whoever proposed that, it shouldn't be.
We don't need a yogurt tax.
Yogurt is healthy.
There's no way we need to be.
And people are listening to this and they're turning around looking at each other and say, does he not know what yoga is?
Yeah, and then they explained to him what happened.
He said, bitch, set me up again.
And there you have it.
He's one of the leaders of Washington, D.C. By the way, Marion Barry's spokesperson saying that Marion Barry was misheard.
That he didn't say yogurt when he was talking about the health values of food and so forth.
He was talking about yoga.
He just was misheard.
He was set up.
Here is David, Columbus, Ohio.
You're next on Open Line Friday.
Hi.
Hi, thanks for taking my call, Rush.
Yes, sir.
Yeah, I want to go back to the first hour where you were talking about the poll and they were asking Democrats whether they love this country or not.
If they were proud, if they were proud Americans.
Oh, proud of them.
Okay.
But the question I always would want to ask to segue into is, okay, if that is the case, then what country are you currently look or you're looking to move to?
And if they're not, then they're choosing to live in their own misery.
And one thing about miserable people, I've at least discovered, is that they like being and congregating other miserable people and a big pot of things you really don't want to go take a look at.
Man, that is so true.
The miserable find each other.
It's true of a lot of different groups of people who find you.
The ugly find each other.
And I look, I shouldn't.
You're right.
Let's just stick with the miserable.
They find it and they live in it.
And it just becomes more intense and they get even more negative and pessimistic about things.
Right.
And if they're saying that, then would they be willing to say that to President Obama?
Well, you see, Obama, this is, if you want to call it the brilliance, the brilliance of Obama is he's got all them convinced.
He's trying to fix all of this stuff that's making them misery.
He's trying to fix the reasons they're not proud of America.
They were voting for him thinking that he would.
Well, but to them, America is racist.
It's unfair.
It's unjust.
It's unequal.
It's discriminatory.
It's not inclusive.
It's intolerant.
And Obama's trying to fix all that, you see.
Yes, but you know, I guess in some ways we should be proud of the Mexican people.
I mean, they live in a miserable place, and we know it, and they know it.
But at least they're trying to do something about it and get themselves to a place where they have better opportunity and a better way to do it.
Well, it is a dichotomy, because on the one hand, the place that these people admit they're not proud of, everybody else in the world wants to come here.
And these good liberals offer them sanctuary in many places.
But they're never going to leave.
They're never going to leave because they don't have time to get into the genuine psychological analysis of these people.
But you're on to something today.
They're never going to leave.
Even when they claim to, they're never going to leave.
They're just, I don't think they're capable of contentment, much less happiness, for a whole host of reasons.
David, I appreciate the call.
I really do.
Thank you much.
Hope you have a great weekend, folks.
And we'll see you back here on Monday.
That's right, my friends.
Just a couple of more days, and we're right back doing it all over again.
Thank you so much for being with us today.
As always, much, much appreciated.
