You know, that's actually something these people better think about.
Because if they take away the trademark from the Redskins, it means everybody can use it, anybody who wants to.
That means it can be everywhere, which is, I don't think, what they want.
Actually, I don't actually, you know what?
They don't care about that.
They don't care if Redskins is, this is just a power play.
It's taken away from the Redskins.
That's all this is.
Greetings and welcome back.
Rush Limbaugh 800-282-2882.
Think about this now.
The Patent Trademark Office has told the Redskins that they no longer own the trademark.
Now, they've got to go through appeals processes and all that here.
But they just unilaterally, and there is no constitutional authority for this.
But the Obama administration just today told the Washington Redskins they no longer own the trademark because it's offensive.
Now, what that means in practical reality is that the Redskins don't own it and therefore don't have exclusive rights to it.
Anybody can use it.
And it would spread like wildfire.
You'd have car washes open, Redskins car wash.
You would have casinos opening up, probably called a Redskins casino.
Any number of things.
We can call ourselves the EIB Redskins Network.
It would be everywhere.
And you would think, well, that's not what they want.
They want the name taken.
They want the, because the name's offensive.
No, no, no.
See, this puts this in perspective.
That's not what this is about at all.
This is not about the name being offensive.
That's just what's stated.
And it might offend a few people, but that's not what this is about.
This is an abject, total power play.
This is the administration illustrating what it can do.
It's simply, look, Snyder does not donate to Democrat causes.
Oh, he might a little to even it out, but Snyder is known, if anything, as a Republican.
And he does position himself very stubbornly.
I'm never changing this name, he said, never.
Well, that you, you don't tell a tyrant, never.
You don't tell a statist or an authoritarian.
You don't tell somebody who thinks he has all the power over everybody.
Never.
So I think this is somewhat personal now because the end result of this action puts the name Redskins everywhere.
And you would think that's not what they want.
If you really buy into what they're doing, you would think they want to wipe the name out so that it's not used by anybody.
But this action would result in it everywhere.
So this is nothing more than a classic illustration of who this administration really is.
They've targeted an enemy, and it happens to be Dan Snyder.
And maybe secondarily the NFL.
But it's Dan Snyder they're gunning for here.
And they're not going to stop.
The regime is not going to stop until they make him change that name.
It's just flexing of the muscle.
This is just pure raw power on display.
And the regime is telling an owner in the NFL that up against me, you are nothing.
Up against me, you are powerless.
And I don't care how long it takes.
I'm stripping that name.
I don't like it.
I don't want you to use it.
And that's all this is.
This is window-dressing because it doesn't offend a majority of people.
I heard it said earlier today, somebody, well, what about fighting Irish?
And the answer to that was, well, nobody is saying it offends them, so they can keep it.
Is it that simple?
I thought it was, if it was offensive, if it was insulting, even though they gave the name to themselves, it might still offend some people.
And on that basis alone, you got to get rid of it.
But no.
And then the person said there has to be momentum.
Clearly, sort of a small mind had to say there has to be momentum, and there isn't any momentum.
If there's momentum for the fighting Irish, you've got to listen to the momentum.
So that's where we are.
You have low-information people who think if there's momentum, if there's an increasing number of people making noise and what you must change it because they are offended.
And Irish are white, the Vikings are white and so forth.
But under this guy's theory, if there is all of a sudden momentum to change fighting Irish, then you've got to change the name.
It's that simple if people are offended.
And that just, I can't.
That's one of those things that just insults my intelligence.
I mean, because there's not a day that somebody isn't offended about something.
You start making policy based on people being offended.
And you cease to have an orderly society.
You certainly don't have a democratic republic in any way, shape, manner, for you can't maintain one when it's simple as somebody claiming to be offended.
Do we want the weak-minded to be in charge of everything?
We want guys who take a leak sitting down to be in charge of everything.
Do we?
I don't think so.
But when you look at it that way, it's clear what this really is.
And it isn't about getting rid of the name Redskins, because if they succeed in this, it's going to be everywhere.
This is just about taking it away from Dan Snyder.
Here's the second sound by Justice Obama, the LGBT lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender fundraiser, Gotham Hall, New York City last night.
This community should be fighting for workers who aren't getting paid a minimum wage that's high enough.
That's why this community has to show compassion for the illegal immigrant who is contributing to our society and just wants a chance to move out of the shadows.
That's why this community should be concerned about equal pay for equal work, straight or game.
That's why this community has to be concerned about the remaining vestiges of racial discrimination.
If you've experienced being on the outside, you've got to be one to bring more folks in, even once you are inside.
So, look, I have to be very judicious here in the way I comment on this because it is clear what Obama's doing.
And I refer you back again to that piece by Peter Beinhardt, where this country is undergoing a major transformation where those who demand tolerance and social justice are going to rule the roost.
They're going to run the country.
You ain't going to be you old white guys anymore.
And you're going to be you powerful rich guys anymore.
It's going to be all of us that you've squished and stepped on and laughed at and made fun of.
Well, we're coming for you now, dude.
And we're going to get.
And that's what, and Obama's applauding this and urging him on.
So in the first soundbite, I'm not going to bother playing it again.
He sets him and his supporters up as the people who are fighting to bring social justice to this mean, racist, unfair, unjust, immoral, bigoted country.
And then as he scoops up all the money at this fundraiser, don't forget, he's scooping up all the money they're donating to be there.
He then lectures them that now that they're on the inside, like he is, they've got to give even more.
That's what that whole soundbite meant.
When he says, if you've experienced being on the outside, you've got to be one to bring more folks in even once you are inside.
That means you've got to go out and find even more money.
You have to donate more and you have to fundraise more.
Reminds me of Marion Berry.
The Democrat Convention.
He's the mayor of Washington at the time.
Democrat Convention, San Francisco, 1984.
Was it 84?
Yeah.
Time to think now.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah, it was 84.
Anyway, he's up there speaking, and David Brinkley is doing commentary for ABC.
Clearly embarrassed.
Marion Berry's is all over the place.
And David Brinkley is deadpanning, this is my mayor.
And Marion Berry's whole theme is, tonight, tonight, we on the inside.
Tonight, tonight, we on the inside.
So here's Obama talking about.
If you've experienced being on the outside, I mean, if you've experienced being laughed at and squished and stomped on and made fun of and discriminated against and blah, blah, blah.
Now that you're on the inside, because I'm here for you, you've got to donate even more.
John Kerry wants 10% of the world's oceans off limits to human activity.
With all that's happening in the world, Secretary of State John Kerry, who served in Vietnam, spent part of Monday addressing the threats facing the ocean.
He said, today, less than 2% of our ocean is considered a marine protected area where there are some restrictions on human activity in order to prevent contaminating the ecosystem.
This is this oceans conference at the State Department.
It had Leo DiCaprio there speaking up for the oceans.
Because, you know, the oceans are voiceless.
Do you know that DiCaprio gave $7 million to this thing to save the oceans from his foundation?
$7 million.
When I hear something like that, it makes me want to go into investment scams and target Hollywood actors.
$7 million for this.
Ted Danson, right when this program started, 10 years to save the oceans.
If we don't, we're all dead.
Al Gore, much the same thing.
I don't know how these people continue to get away with this.
They should have been humiliated and slinked away with their tails between their legs because they've been dead wrong about all of this.
Kerry said that most people underestimate the enormous damage that humans inflict on the oceans every day.
I don't.
I remember what Reverend Wright said.
Cruise ships throw away more food, garbage in the oceans than they have to eat in Haiti.
When people order seafood from a restaurant, most of the time they don't realize that a third of the world's fish stocks are overexploited, too much money chasing too few fishes, and nearly all the rest are being fished at or near their absolute maximum sustainable level on a planet that has 6 billion people today will rise to 9 billion over the next 30 to 40.
Do you, I saw something the other day stunning, and I saved it to pocket, but I didn't find it.
It was a fascinating demographic site, and they had different graphic representations.
If you put the population of the world into a city with the density of Houston, meaning that many people per square mile, the population of the world at the density of the population of Houston, Texas, would comprise two-thirds of the continental United States.
You could put the population of the world, real estate-wise, you could put the population of the world at Houston, Texas density in two-thirds of the United States.
If you are observant when you fly, the thing that you cannot escape as you look out the window of the airplane is how empty it is down there.
Now, I know this says nothing about infrastructure, support systems, and all that, but we could, the point is, we could put the population of the planet right in this country and be only use two-thirds of it.
Now, it would be as crowded as Houston is, but we could do it.
We are nowhere near being able or not being unable to feed the planet.
It's absurd with these people.
I just, you know, I expose myself to this insanity and stupidity, these emotional pleas every day.
It just drives me bonkers that people fall for this stupidity.
Underestimate the enormous damage that humans inflict on the oceans every day for crying out loud.
Does he not know that oil spills into the ocean every day from fissures on the ocean floor?
It's natural, and oil is the biggest poison in the world to these people.
And the oil never reaches the surface of the ocean.
Doesn't matter whether it's natural oil or Exxon all.
It's still all.
It's unrefined oil.
It's dirty all.
It's heavy oil, sweet crude, whatever.
But the ocean just eats it up.
It never reaches the surface.
You remember the BP oil spill?
Do you remember one of the most noteworthy things about it?
Do you?
They couldn't find the oil.
They thought it was going to eat up, what, a third of the Gulf?
They couldn't find it.
Remember those stories?
They couldn't find it.
They showed us the pictures of the oil that was spewing out of the platform.
They couldn't find it.
Idea that?
Here again, have you ever flown to Europe or to Hawaii or to the Far East and have you ever looked out the window?
Have you ever seen?
You have any idea of the size of the ocean, the depth?
Do you have any idea of the amount of water on this planet?
And the idea that we treat it as a garbage dump and that it's just we would have to target the destruction of the ocean and we would have to work hard, and I don't think even then we could even make a dent in destroying the ocean.
And these people want us to believe that simply living our lives is doing it.
And it's more of the same folks.
You living your life causing climate change, changing the planet, warming it up, you taking advantage of human progress, destroying the planet, and now you're destroying the ocean.
They just never let up.
Back to the phones we go.
Here is PEG Copper's Coffee.
Texas, welcome to the program HIVE, hi there.
Thanks so much for taking my call Rush, you bet I want to thank you so much also for your 2d books, especially the one Rush Revere and the brave Pilgrims that my grandchildren absolutely love.
Thank you very much, you are welcome.
Thank you so much.
Um, i'm calling because, first of all, I am a vet, i'm also Irish and i'm also American Indian, and those topics sort of came up today.
I was like okay, I don't have a problem with whatever anybody wants to call their football team, for peace sake, what kind of political correctness are we really getting into here stupid?
Well, we're way beyond political correctness now.
That's too.
That's too true, that's unfortunate.
Um, but i'm calling because I was thinking about the Va scandal.
Being a vet and 50 of my husband and our family were vets, we're all kind of concerned about that and have a brother who actually asked about going to another doctor and said, at your expense, so they're not really paying for them to go to other doctors.
And then the IRS, the IRS is supposed to be in charge of Obamacare and how it's distributed, and if they're doing all these emails and and targeting, stop and thinking though.
You know you, just you, you've.
You've helped me focus on something here.
We just heard Obama out once again with the godlike reverb Monday night at the lesbian, gay, trans.
Sound like a campaign appearance, if you listen to that soundbite.
And he's talking about all the discrimination and the racism and the mistreatment of these people while the VA scandal rages under his watch, while veterans are dying because of the mess that VA has become.
And...
Iraq falling apart, and there he is making it out like lesbian gay bisexual, transgender people are the biggest victims of an unfair country.
It's unreal.
Okay, Ditto Cam going to come on here in just a second.
I have printed from the website that I found the world's population densities and i'll just tell you, at the density of New York City, the density of New York City, you can put the population of the world in the state of Texas.
If you wanted that kind of crowded circumstance, you could put the population of the world in Texas.
If you wanted to put the population in the world of the world in the density of San Francisco Texas Oklahoma Arkansas Louisiana, you could do it.
If you wanted to put the population of the world in America at the density of Paris, you could do it in Arkansas Mississippi, Louisiana.
No, they're just just American.
Uh well no no, they don't have Singapore, Singapore.
You could put the population of the world in the United States at the density of Singapore in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana.
You could put the population of the world in the United States at the density of London in New Maho Texas Oklahoma Arkansas, Louisiana.
Here is i've not got it close enough, you can read it but in your lower right there is Houston, the population of density of Houston, lower right in Orange.
You could put the population of the world in that portion of the U.s.
At the density of Houston, Texas.
Now I have sent the link to this page up to.
Well, I haven't sent it up to Cocoa yet, but i'm going to at the next break so that we will have this on Rushlimbaugh.com.
Turn the ditto cam back on.
Fascinating to me.
It literally the this idea that overpopulation is not overcrowding alone.
You'd still have to have food, water and all that, but we do anyway.
Uh, the Rush Revere books.
Our last caller was thanking me for writing the Rush Revere books, and you know the mission behind those books is to counter the multicultural curriculum that kids get in public schools, kindergarten, grade school, elementary and so on.
Great country and the truth of this country deserves to be taught everybody.
You don't talk about rights.
Everybody has the right and, I think, the responsibility of understanding the truth of the founding of this country, how it happened, who did it, why they did it, Way they did it.
It is miraculous.
And in human history, it is profound.
It is an exception to the way human beings lived up to that time.
It doesn't need to be embellished.
It doesn't need to be exaggerated.
It's a great story.
We all ought to be proud of it.
But there are people in this country who aren't, and they're teaching lies.
And so the Rush Revere series is to counter that.
That is the mission.
This is not just an exercise for me to engage in, another career opportunity or another money-making opportunity.
We've donated tens of thousands of books.
We're doing everything we can.
Got an Adventures of Rush Revere website.
We've got another book in the works.
It is an ongoing series.
And here's another reason why.
One of my new favorite websites is a site called Campus Reform.
And it details some of the outrage going on on college campi all across the fruited plane.
And this story, students demand mandatory transgender class to right the wrongs of colonial America.
Now, folks, this story and stories like it are exactly why writing the Rush Revere books was such a, gee I have to do it kind of thing.
Students demand mandatory transgender class to right the wrongs of colonial America.
Colonial, the founding days, we discriminated against transgenders and we left them out.
And this drivel is being taught.
And of course, activist groups are organizing and demanding and making it look like students everywhere are demanding this.
This is an actual headline in the United States of America.
Students demand mandatory transgender class to right the wrongs of colonial America.
And it's brought to you by a bunch of American kids who've not been taught the history of their country and are otherwise idiots.
And it's exactly why I wrote the Rush Revere series, or am writing, I should say.
I mean, you really challenge yourself to read this and believe it because it seems like a spoof.
A group calling itself Whose Diversity has created a list of demands designed to eradicate structural inequality at the University of Minnesota.
Demands include having two faculty of color engaging in critical race and ethnic studies in each department.
Creation of display celebrating histories of activism initiated by marginalized communities.
You can see the theme.
Oh yeah, America must have been founded.
It might have been founded on freedom, but it discriminated against people of color and transgenders and gay and all of this.
You can read any of the founding documents and you won't find a reference to transgenders.
A liberal group, the University of Minnesota, has ordered the screw to admit that it is a product of the evil actions of colonial Americans and must fundamentally alter its structure to make it up to marginalized communities.
The official website of the group says, we demand an acknowledgement that the university exists as a product of colonialistic processes.
The group has created a list of permanent and substantial structural changes that the SCRUL must enact to right these wrongs, and they have vowed not to stop.
In addition to the at least two faculty members of color in every single department, they further demand hiring more medical providers of historically marginalized identities whose work is rooted in social justice and increasing the number of non-white students to meet very specific proportions.
In two years, the university student body should be proportional to three-fourths of the city demographics of non-white groups.
For example, the student body should be 13.5% black in two years compared to the city demographics of eight.
This is what this group is demanding, and you know the university could cave.
When do they not cave to demands such as this?
The list also calls for a gender-neutral restroom in every building and a faith-neutral meditation and healing room on every campus.
In terms of restructuring curriculum, the group orders the SCRUL, University of Minnesota, to force every student to take at least one course on gender non-conforming issues and offers substantially more courses on marginalized peoples.
By definition, it would include the stupid.
Yeah.
In case those courses are not enough to constantly remind students about the plight of marginalized communities, the list also demands that the SCRUL erect a display of historical documents and photographs chronicling their activism to be placed in a centrally located space on campus.
The group wants a ban, wants to ban the University of Minnesota Police Department from mentioning race in crime alerts and stop the construction of luxury apartments near campus because they gentrify and displace local communities.
The group presented this list of demands to the SCRUL on April 30th.
At the time of publication of the website, more than 700 students, faculty, professors, and alumni had endorsed it.
700.
They found that it wasn't hard.
Well, look at the Duke La Crosse case.
The whole faculty, look what they endorsed.
There was no evidence that these kids had done what the allegations were.
The whole, I mean, what, 89% of the faculty weighed in that they ought to be expelled.
A brief timeout on CNN.
What would be my response?
If I'm running the University of Minnesota and they come to me with this list of demands, I'd tell them to go pound sand.
You know, take your point someplace else, but this is not the purpose of this university.
This is that you don't run it.
If you don't like the way we do business here, start your own school.
I'd listen to them.
I'd hear what they wanted.
Try not to laugh.
I'd ask one of them to join me in the bathroom, talk about it further.
Want to give a six bathroom?
Let's go.
I don't know.
I just, I think, but these that's not what happens.
They're going to came.
They got 700 signatures back on April 30th.
Now, administrators have said efforts to meet with the group have been unsuccessful.
They see the groups never want to meet, certainly.
They don't want to meet.
They never want to meet.
They just want to keep bitching.
But they never want to actually meet.
Back after this, folks.
Don't go away.
I want to go back to the NBC News Wall Street Journal poll for one little tidbit of additional information that was not imparted by F. Chuck Todd.
However, it could be one of the reasons he's so despondent.
Washington Examiner dug deep.
Hispanics help drive Obama's approval rating to a new low.
Hispanics.
Now remember, the conventional wisdom in Washington is the Republicans had better adopt the policies of the Democrats so that they get some Hispanic support so that they can win some elections again.
And if they don't do that, it's Sayonara or Adios.
And yet, here we have the NBC Wall Street Journal poll: Hispanics help drive Obama's approval rating to a fresh low.
How is this possible?
Republicans are buying into the idea.
They have to be for amnesty to win Hispanic votes, yet Obama's erased the border.
He's promised illegals amnesty, and he's tanking in this poll.
And we're being overrun at the moment with children unaccompanied from Central America.
Maybe, could it be that the Hispanic population of this country wants a secure nation, just like everybody else?
President Obama's approval rating has slipped to a fresh lull of 41% amid a myriad of scandals involving mismanagement and alleged corruption at multiple federal agencies and a significant loss of support among Hispanics, according to the Wall Street Journal, NBC News poll.
The recent decline is notable in that it has been rather sudden, consisting of several sharp dips occurring just after the start of this year.
Also notable, the president has lost a considerable amount of support from the Hispanic community.
Here are the numbers.
His approval rating plummeted to 44%, down from 67% in January of 2013.
What is this?
17 This is 23%.
He's had a 23% drop in approval from Hispanic voters in a year and a half.
The decline comes at a time when the border between the U.S. and Mayco has been overrun with thousands of abandoned immigrant children and teenagers.
The Democrat pollster Peter Hart said it all comes back to one word, leadership.
He may be winning the issue debate, but he's losing the political debate because they don't see him as a leader, meaning the Hispanics.
Now, this is not insignificant, folks.
This is pretty sad.
I'll bet you if Chuck Todd saw this, he didn't mention this per se, but this has to be one of the reasons he's so despondent because remember now, everybody and their uncle in the entire Washington establishment is basing every election victory on garnering a majority of Hispanic votes.
They have become the new independents.
They've become the new moderates, Hispanic voters.
And we've been told, the Republicans have been told, you better support amnesty.
You better support open borders.
You better support them coming out of shadows.
You're never going to win.
And Obama's leading that charge, and he's dropped 23 points among Hispanics in a year and a half from 67% approval January 2013 to 44%.
He's just, overall approval is at 41% nationwide, 44% Hispanics.
How can this be?
Will the Republicans take note, folks?
Jeremiah Wright's daughter has been convicted of fraud.
Folks, it took two hours.
The jury on last Friday, whatever it was, America's chickens are coming home to roost.
