Welcome to today's edition of The Rush 24-7 podcast.
We are here, ladies and gentlemen, on the left coast.
Great to have you with us and the uh EIB network and the Rush Limbaugh program off and running.
Now, this is going to be one of those days where you might have to wait a while for your favorite story to come up, because I mean we are jam-packed.
We got Monica Lewinsky writing in Vanity Fair about the affair.
Perfect place for her to write.
She's referring to the whole thing as consensual.
She said nothing happened until it was over.
Then Hillary went out and they all tried to destroy her.
Nothing new here, but at least we're having some confirmation of that.
Something you may not be aware of, and I have been wondering about this.
I have been, I must confess, I've been curious about this.
I mean, I can tell you how long.
The Sultan of Brunei happens to own major hotel properties out here.
I mean, five-star, ten-star, top top drawer.
Beverly Hills Hotel and the Bel Air Hotel.
Now, the Sultan of Brunei is Muslim, and the Sultan of Brunei has just ratcheted up the enforcement of Sharia law, which is the standard belief system of 90% of the world's Muslims who are Sunnis in his own country.
He's not enforcing Sharia law yet at his properties in this country.
Yet.
Just in his own country, which is halfway around the world.
And the gays and lesbians of Southern California are massing every day to protest this guy.
Yesterday, Jay Leno showed up to uh to join the protest.
And I've been, you know, if if if what these people are saying about Sharia and about Islam, if you were to say it, you'd be called a bigot and they'd haul you off somewhere, put you in prison with the guy that made the video in the Middle East that nobody ever saw.
And I have been wondering how long is it going to take for the gay and lesbian community to get acquainted with what Sharia law says will be done to them.
I mean, it it isn't me, folks.
I didn't write it.
And I've got the documentation.
You can get the book for 20 bucks on Amazon.
You don't have to look hard for it.
You don't have to dig deep.
It's not hidden.
What the what the Islamic view or the Sharia law view of homosexuality, basically that it's the epitome of intolerance.
So they figured it out.
And so they're the daily protests here with the Sultan of Brunei.
And the ultimate wish is that he be forced to sell a properties, or that he be not allowed back in the country, or that he be kicked out or what have you.
I mean, it's you haven't heard much about it, but he's the new Donald Sterling out here.
Uh no, there's not a hotel commissioner.
There's not a hotel.
It hasn't gotten to that point yet.
Uh but anyway, I've been wondering, I just uh I was I was driving in this morning before the sun came up, and we get to work much, much earlier out here, folks.
And the guy driving me in said, hey, how about Jay Leno?
I said, what?
Jay Leno's not in the news.
Oh, yeah, he joined the gays and lesbians about the Sultan of Brunei.
I said, I hadn't heard about it.
So I immediately got in here and I started digging deep.
And here grabs on by 19.
Uh I mean, I'm what where have all these people been?
This is the question.
This is this is what happens with the left.
They're so tribal, they hang together.
They only permit their own accredited people and groups because of political correctness to say things.
And when they finally glam on, if uh just two weeks ago, three, well, before these protests started, if anybody on the right had been critical of militant Islam or of uh jihad or sharia, who knows?
Well, you know what happens.
I mean, the people are getting they get descended on and they're intimidated and they're told to shut up and so forth.
And I just I but it's not hard to find out what happens.
It's it's it's almost as easy to find out what happens to journalists in communist countries.
They're shut down.
So apparently of all people, the Sultan of Brunei, who's got about a thousand cars, uh, four women per car.
It's like sharia applies to everybody else.
Well, actually, not that's not actually true.
Well, it is in a way, but I don't want to get sidetracked into that.
Let's listen to Leno.
This is uh on CNN's newsroom today.
It took time out.
All of you heard Larry King says he'd take his own jog back.
We don't want the plane story.
He wouldn't do it if they forced him to do the plain story.
And yeah, yeah, we got that sound by two.
And CNN, they dumped something for the plane story.
It's all here.
That's what I say.
Folks, we're getting this we're jam-packed today.
And your favorite new leg, if your favorite story, what you really want to hear about is Benghazi, it may be a while.
Because I don't have any of it.
Well, we'll get to that.
I'm gonna get to the Monica stuff in a minute.
But I you know, I don't script anything.
I just get the things as I get to them.
So your your favorite story might be Benghazi, might be Monaco.
That is coming up uh pretty soon.
Your favorite story might be Obama playing dictator on global warming.
Uh at some point during the entire program today, we're gonna get to all these things.
I just can't tell you when.
If I knew, I would tell you.
But I don't know myself.
Here's Leno, CNN newsroom this morning during a report about protests against the Beverly Hills Hotel.
He owns the Bel Air 2, right?
Right, which is owned by an investment group from Brunei, which recently adopted Sharia law.
That would be the Sultan of Brunei.
Here is comedian and former tonight show host Jay Leno joining the protest.
I know a number of people are canceling events at the hotel, and it's all economic.
It's not a political issue.
This is not something that's debatable.
It's people being stoned to death.
Hello?
Jay, where have you been?
You know, Jay's wife is a huge feminist.
I mean it's people of being stoned to death long before they got to the gays and women, try uh gays and lesbians, try women.
Anyway, they're late arrivals, they think they're on to something here, but it's it's it's it's it's effervescing.
It's happening big.
And uh I have to confess, and I know everything, and I didn't know about this until I got out here.
Monica Lewinsky breaking her 10-year silence on her affair with President Clinton.
After a decade of near silence, Monica Lewinsky has taken to the pages of Vanity Fair magazine to discuss her affair when she was 19 with President Clinton.
And also her subsequent efforts to move forward with her life.
It's time to burn the beret and bury the blue dress, she writes.
I myself deeply regret what happened between me and President Clinton.
Let me say it again.
I myself deeply regret what happened.
In the excerpt from the article, she also denies rumors that the Clintons paid for her silence.
As I can assure you that nothing could be further from the truth.
She talks about moving forward with her life.
I am determined to have a different ending to my story.
She also reaffirms her relationship with Clinton was strictly consensual.
Sure, my boss took advantage of me.
That's no big deal.
I she didn't write no big deal.
I just threw that in because that's the way it's been treated by the Clinton machine.
Sure, my boss took advantage of me, but I will always remain firm on this point.
It was a consensual relationship.
Any abuse, and she has that in quotes.
Abuse is in quotes here.
Any abuse came in the aftermath when I was made a scapegoat in order to protect his powerful position.
The Clinton administration, special prosecutors' minions, the political operatives on both sides of the aisle, and the media were able to brand me, and that brand stuck in part because it was imbued with power.
Now there's much more to this, because Vanity Fair doesn't do short stuff.
So it is very long.
So she admits that she was taken advantage of, but that it was a consensual relationship.
And she also alludes to the fact that it was in the in the aftermath of this that it was Hillary.
We all know this.
It was Hillary that ran the bimbo eruption.
It wasn't just Monica Lewinsky that Hillary went after and then Betsy Wright and the others.
It was every one of these bimbos that popped up and claimed or was gonna claim or thought to claim or rumored to claim a dalliance with the former President Clinton.
The thing that's always amazed me about this, pardon the sniffles.
I still have this.
I don't know how.
I don't know how it's possible, but I still have this.
People forget a lot of things about this.
Clinton got her to commit perjury in a sexual harassment trial.
And we're just supposed to forget that he committed perjury, which is why he was impeached.
It wasn't impeached because he had the affair.
He got her to commit perjury in a sexual harassment trial.
But that's not the point.
She says it's consensual, fine and dandy.
But when it was learned and discovered, and she loved the guy.
I mean, if she may have been 19, and love is love, whatever age, it's a different thing to different person, but she loved the guy.
They destroyed her.
The group, the people that claim to be protecting women, that claim to want to shield women from the evils of the world, including conservative Republicans.
They led the charge in destroying this woman.
After the fact, after Clinton got what he wanted, after he got his jollies, after he got his consensual whatever.
Then it was time to destroy her.
Along with every other woman that popped up, not just Monica Lewinsky.
And it was Hillary right in there.
And the left and every supporter, the hypocrites at the yard didn't think anything of it.
At first, when Clinton lied about it, they accepted it.
Madeline Albright runs out there with about 25 other women that they had rounded up in a half hour at the administration, said they claimed they totally believed Clinton when he went out there and he said, I just want to say this, I never had sex with that woman.
Who is it?
Ms. Lewinsky?
That one time I never lied.
I never asked anybody.
It was all a lie.
Every bit of it was a lie.
They knew it, stood behind the guy, no big deal.
Just sex.
Didn't get in the way of his work.
Didn't affect his job.
Nineteen year old girl led on, manipulated, used, none of that mattered.
It was cruel.
It was actually mean.
And then what they did to her afterwards is what she's even acknowledging is the abuse in this sordid thing that occurred after.
She cites Drudge, she's getting mad at Drudge for making all this public and making all the news public, but Drudge is linked to her story today at Vanity Fair, so Drudge is helping her get her side of the story out now.
It just, I don't know.
The whole thing, I think the country has always been, no matter at what point you put yourself in the timeline of the country.
You're always going to have people who think that morality is going to hell.
That standards are declining and evaporating.
Every generation thinks that that's happening.
But I I really think that when the Clinton administration began to operate the way they did, I think it took a plunge.
I don't think it was just a gradual decline that was taking place.
It was an over it was a dramatic plunge.
And it was necessary to save the administration, to save Clinton.
It had to go out and destroy all of these people.
And the hypocrisy from the people who claim they have all the tolerance and all the love and all the compassion.
And it's us, the conservatives waging this war on women, and yet every time you look around, it is women who are being torn apart from their families or damaged or disrespected or whatever, really mistreated by these people.
Discarded after being used.
And then if they dare speak up at the wrong time at the wrong place, they get destroyed, not just discarded.
And there's Hillary, Monica Lewinsky is making the point that it was Hillary blaming all the women that were involved, including her.
Lewinsky, she says she considered suicide.
So Hillary and Bill, I mean war on women, Monica Lewinsky affair with President Clinton, nearly, almost considered suicide.
Anyway, that's that.
There's going to be more.
I haven't had a chance to read the whole thing.
I mean, it just popped here before the program begins.
I've just, this brief summary is all I've had, a chance to look at.
I reserve the right to comment further after I have read further.
In the meantime, a brief time out, we will continue here from the left coast, the EIB network right after this.
It looks like folks, and despite everything the Clinton's did to her, that Monica Lewinsky, part of her new strategy here is to blame the Internet, and she starts with Drudge.
For example, she says, thanks to Drudge, she was the first person to be humiliated before the world on the Internet.
So in her mind, the humiliation was having people find out what she did.
Yet she said it was consensual.
If it was consensual, and she agreed to it, what in the world was humiliating about it?
Oh, well, well, wait a minute.
Why was it humiliating for people to find out about it?
If it was consensual.
Yeah, she wasn't married to him.
Bill had a wife.
But the humiliation was not the engaging in the act itself.
And for crying out loud, Monica, you were in bed with, well, you were on your you um the bathroom there with a married man.
And that wasn't humiliating, that was consensual.
But then when the world finds out about it, starts reporting it, that was humiliating.
I mean, I can understand that it is, but what about the act itself?
So once again, the point is what people think of you sometimes matters more than what you're actually doing.
So she has uh decided now ten years later that her life's work is going to be to get involved with efforts on behalf of victims of online humiliation and harassment and to start speaking on this topic in public forums.
Really?
That's that's where this is all headed, yet involved with an effort on behalf of victims of online humiliation.
Like who?
And what constitutes it.
No, I'm not, I'm not piling on.
Maybe I'm making a point that nobody else think of.
I just humiliation was having people find out about it.
My logic says if you if you engage in something and it was consensual, meaning you both agreed to do it, there must not have been anything in your mind that was wrong about it, or you wouldn't have done it.
And then when people find out about it, that's the humiliation.
No, I don't think Monica's gonna defend Donald Sterling.
I don't think that's what she means.
Anyway, that's that.
And I will, as things get produced from this story, if it's worthy of comment, we'll get on to it.
In the meantime, I have a huge, huge see I told you so here opportunity, combined with the latest pivot, an announcement from the White House yesterday.
They've dropped everything now.
They've dropped Benghazi, they've dropped everything, and they're moving forward once again on climate change.
Global warming.
And there is a desire on the part, the Democrat Party and the left for the president to once again assume dictatorial like powers to do what must be done in the area of climate change and global warming to accomplish whatever it is they want to accomplish.
It's not saving the planet.
That is not what global warming is about.
They want you to think it is, but it is not.
But the CI Told You So is a story here from Canada, the Globe and Mail.
And it's uh it's a column, it's part of a series.
Get this, part of a series examining the health repercussions for Canadians of a changing climate.
And the headline of this was by Gail McDonald, and the headline of this piece, Youth Anxiety on the Rise Amid Changing Climate.
It is entirely relevant in view of Obama's new ratcheting up of the hysteria starting yesterday with John Podesta, which I will also explain why he's there.
I predicted this, another CI Told You So coming up.
But in a nutshell, what the stories that the climate hoaxers and their fear mongering is driving people, especially children, crazy.
And the advice from these experts on how to keep them from being driven crazy by climate change is to get involved.
Climate change activism.
That's what this piece is about.
I will have more details.
Welcome back, folks.
Great to have you, Rush Linboy.
And the telephone number, if you want to be on the program, is 800-282-2882.
And if you want to send an email, it's L Rushmore at EIBNet.com.
Let us review how the left has attempted to corral people to agree with them and sweep them up into this political movement that's called climate change, used to be called global warming, and then when the warming stopped, they had to change the term.
And the main technique that they've used is fear combined with guilt.
And it has worked well.
They have approached people with the not directly, it's in the in the in the in the form of just everyday news stories, uh, blog posts, movies, cartoon shows, television shows, and the idea is that humanity is destroying the planet, and not just any humanity, but highly advanced, economically highly advanced humanity is destroying the planet, primarily the United States.
Capitalism, where people's progress, economic progress is destructive to the planet.
This has been the message.
We're destroying it.
We are greenhouse gases with the giant cars and trucks that we drive and all the airplanes that we're flying and all the miles we're flying and all the fossil fuels that we're burning.
And we've got 10 years or 20 years or 30 years or 50 years or 100 years, depending on the report, to fix it, are all going to die.
And then the polar bears are dying, and they've put up fraudulent pictures of polar bears on little ice flows three square feet, claiming that's all that's left for little Timmy the polar bear, and of course, giant total fraudulent lies, all designed to uh impose guilt and fear.
Even among kids, I mean, Ted Turner was one of the early entrants into this with his cartoon series on Saturday morning called Captain Planet, is about a guy saving the world from evil corporate CEOs who were destroying it simply by running their businesses.
And capitalists, Republicans, conservatives didn't care what they destroyed, didn't care who they destroyed.
All they wanted was to get rich and make everybody else poor.
Remember, we talked about the student body at Rutgers demanding that Connedy Rice be removed as the commencement speaker.
I was pointing out that when 9-11 happened, those students now were between six and ten years old.
And I asked you to consider what has been their world from age six, ten, the moment they started paying attention.
It's been nothing but fear, panic.
It's been serious, negative this, negative that, America sucks has been what they've grown up with.
America's destroying the planet.
America is killing the polar bears.
America is immoral and unjust in in Iraq.
America.
They've grown up believing that their country is immoral and unjust and unfair.
And the climate change argument was part of it.
And the kids, especially, how many of you know, how many of you are parents whose kids would come home from school, mommy, mommy, you've got that driving a car to drive killing the polar bag, mommy, mommy.
How many of you parents had that happen to you?
Raise your hands.
It's a lot of you.
And if it wasn't your parents or wasn't your kids, it was it was the news that made you feel guilty.
But there was always redemption for you.
And you know what the redemption was?
Vote Democrat.
Isn't it amazing?
You could vote Democrat and agree for the government to get bigger and agree for taxes to go up, and that's how you could be absolved of your sin and your part, the role you played in destroying the world.
And you can now save the world if and only if you do the following.
And it all vote Democrat, support bigger government, support Obamacare, support tax increases.
That was your redemption.
And kids were literally scared to death.
Kids, young kids, you tell them the polar bears are dying, tell them their world is ending.
And I mean, kids dream incredibly positive things if you let them.
But they're also very susceptible to pessimism.
And if that's all a young kid grows up with, what in the world by the time the kid gets to college is it going to be.
So this story in the Canada Globe and Mail is about the fear and anxiety among the youths on the rise of climate change and the impact.
And in the in this story by Gail McDonald, again, the advice from the experts on how to keep from being driven crazy by climate change hysteria is not to ignore it.
The advice is not to accept and believe you've been hoaxed.
No, no, no, no.
You know what you're supposed to do to deal with your fear and anxiety?
Get involved in climate change activism.
That's the way they will ensure that you vote Democrat.
That's the way they will ensure that you end up supporting bigger government.
Bigger government means less freedom and liberty for people.
Bigger government means more regulations and more laws and more limits on what you can do, more restrictions on what you can do and think and say and become.
That's your salvation.
Sound advice.
Now, this is exactly, it's a perfect example, what I've been saying for years, that our...
One of the things I firmly believe in baby boomers, and I've people disagree with me on this, that I have.
You've heard the riff.
I'm not going to spend as much time on it as that, but for those of you who haven't heard it, let me give you the short version.
I was sitting around talking with a friend of mine 10 years ago, who's 53, 50 years old, whatever.
And I was talking about how young I felt compared to my dad when he was 40, that was it.
I mean, if he hadn't made it by 40, that was what he'd made it, but it just.
I mean, it was pretty much, and everybody his generation did.
World War II generation, they had gone through the Great Depression.
They had gone through World War II, Korea.
Uh, they had lived with the very personal Soviet threat to destroy them, this country, their children and grandchildren.
I mean, these our parents, the baby boomer parents, the World War II generation, sometimes call the greatest generation, they had to grow up real fast.
They had to grow up by 18.
They learned very early in life that everything was much bigger than they are, that there were a lot of things more important than them personally.
They didn't have time to get self-absorbed.
And because of all of that, because all the evil that they succeeded in beating back and defeating their kids, us, by comparison, have had a piece of cake.
We have had to invent our traumas in order to convince ourselves that our lives are tough too.
Now, where I get in trouble is people's, you mean you don't think there's real- No, no, I mean, if you invent a trauma, the trauma's real.
I'm not denying you can traumatize yourself.
You can make it up, you can trauma.
I'm just talking from generation to generation.
I my life is a piece of cake compared to my parents.
They wouldn't understand, they wouldn't believe my life, even though they saw enough of it, they still didn't believe it.
My life was not possible to them.
And they were huge patriots, loved America, but this kind of thing just wasn't, it's not it didn't happen to enough people.
It was a numbers thing with them.
It wasn't, it wasn't impersonal.
It was it was they hoped for it, every parent does.
I had all the time in the world to do nothing but focus on me.
I had all the time in the world to do nothing but everything in my own self-interest.
And I'm 63 now, and I still don't feel like I'm anywhere near fully grown up.
Anywhere near end of life, anywhere.
And our parents were not that way.
They just had it, they had it tougher.
I mean, you might want to say that that the things that we have endured, okay, we've had Vietnam, yeah, and we had a Gulf War, and we've had, but see, then some people throw, yeah, we've had climate change.
No, you've had a hoax.
There isn't any climate change.
There isn't any man-made disaster occurring out there.
It can't be proved.
And I'm gonna I'm gonna tell you again if I have to shout from the rooftops.
There is no empirical data of climate change.
It's all computer model prediction, folks.
There isn't any empirical evidence of it.
It's all fear-mongering brought on by predictions.
Computer models.
There isn't.
There hasn't been any warming in the last, what is it, 17 years now.
The White House, the Washington Post today says that the latest reason why Obama is so concerned about climate change is that he just he saw a picture.
Uh two satellite photos, actually, that he was shown.
California and Nevada, which show how they're suffering from the current drought.
And that's, oh man, we got global warming.
No, wait a minute.
See, I remember all this stuff.
The original global warming predictions were for massive floods, sea levels rise.
There weren't going to be any droughts.
So they take whatever extreme of the day is happening, and they assign it to climate change.
So climate change is a perfect example of something that has been manufactured that causes people trauma and fear and gives them something that they've got to get involved to save the country and to save the world.
And of course, the way you do it is you vote Democrat, you believe in liberalism, you support expanding government, near totalitarian type leaders and so forth, agree to pay higher taxes, go drive junk cars, and you are now saving the planet.
That's how you feel good about yourself.
That's how you that's how your life has meaning.
It's all made up.
It's all manufactured.
It's it's it's just one of many examples of what I think is traumas we've had to invent in order to tell ourselves that we have challenges.
And to excuse our failures, by the way, too.
That's Another reason why you need to invent all these traumas is to excuse failure.
Because it's never your fault.
And so now I've got proof of it here in this in this global mail globe and mail stormed in Canada.
Let me read from the bottom of the story, and I gotta take a break real quick.
Environmental activism, activist, I should say, and author Kenneth Worthy advises that we realize every generation has had great challenges.
Our forebears have the first world war and the second world war.
Another generation dealt with the cold war.
No, one generation dealt with both.
And the Great Depression.
Three of them.
Great Depression, World War II, Cold War.
Throw Korea in there.
One generation dealt with all three of those.
Now this greatest threat to this generation, young and old, is the climate problem, which involves a lot of volatility and a lot of change.
He hopes that we can face it as a generation together.
We have to find the flexibility, the courage, the determination to stand up to that crisis collectively, not just as individuals, like our parents did before us.
What a laugh.
Comparing something that only exists in computer models.
And I thought you got to believe me.
I am not making that up.
There isn't any evidence of any of this.
It's pure fear-mongering.
Never mind what this is doing to the minds of children.
It's scaring the hell out of little kids.
They're making them think that we are killing their parents or killing polar bears and all this.
They really believe this.
And now they're traumatized.
I'll take a break.
We will continue after this.
Do not go away.
Ill Rushbow serving humanity, executing a signed host duties flawlessly, zero mistakes.
Did you know, folks, that the mayor of Toronto was turned away from the United States?
This is Bob Ford, the mayor of Toronto, and he finally admitted that he might have a problem.
He said he did drugs when he drank, so he had to stop drinking.
And anyway, they finally got to him.
He said he had a problem, and he was going to go to rehab.
So he got in a jet in Toronto at uh at Buttonville Municipal Airport near his house on May 1st.
He flew to Chicago, landed in Chicago, but was turned away by ICE.
They wouldn't let him in the country.
Proving it can be done.
It can be done, folks.
It can be done.
The mayor announced he was taking a leave of absence, pausing his re-election campaign with a rehab last Wednesday, was last seen boarding a private plane bound for Chicago.
Customs officials say he never formally entered the country, withdrew his application, turned the plane around.
Neither his brother Doug Ford or his lawyer Dennis Morris will say where exactly he is, but they maintain he is in rehab as promised.
But it it's not that that he he never formally entered the country.
He was turned away, according to Canada's meet uh uh journalist, the Globe and Mail again.
Same source of this uh global warming fear mongering on the little children.
Again, just to reiterate, the experts, the hoaxers, are telling kids, college students, what if you're suffering from this trauma, the way to fix it is become a climate change activist.
See how this works.
Massive recruiting by liberals on the basis of fear and intimidation, lies, fraud, all of this.
So why was this guy turned away at the border?
Why would we turn away the mayor of Toronto who apparently wanted to go to a rehab center here in the United States?
Brother and his warrior won't say exactly where he Is uh but they say Ray Norton, Canada's consul general in Chicago, said he voluntarily withdrew his application to enter the USA.
Now voluntarily withdrew after having probably been told something or other.
No, it proves it can be done, folks.
We can keep people out of the country.
Why we would want to keep the mayor of Toronto out, I don't know.
Uh maybe because of his condition, he's violating some some laws.
I don't know.
But I just wanted to pass this on because I just uh found out about this.
Officials say anybody hoping to enter the U.S. must overcome all grounds of inadmissibility, includes criminality, security reasons, documentation requirements, and dozens of things that you gotta be why didn't he declare asked for political amnesty or some such thing like that?
A confident athletic girl, McLean says the flood left her vulnerable, scared, and hating the rivers.
It encircled her home.
They wouldn't let us in for several days after we were evacuated.
I used to think rivers were so pretty.
It made me not like them anymore.
From the global warming story.
She now hates the rivers.
This is how they've done it on every issue.
Anyway, kids are traumatized over this now.
