Hey folks, how are you?
Great to have you back.
Rush Limbaugh Open Line Friday.
It is the EIB Network, the Limbaugh Institute for Advanced Conservative Studies, and a lot still ahead.
It's open line.
Telephone number is 800-282-2882.
The email address lrushbow at eibnet.com.
Happy to have you along.
Try to squeeze in more phone calls on Friday than otherwise.
Let's see.
Sorry, six out of ten independents abandon Obama.
This is a Washington Examiner story.
And here's the poll quote.
A year ago, when asked if people liked Obama regardless of his policies, 37% said yeah, 29% said no.
The new poll finds 34% don't like Obama, 30% do.
And it's the same on his favorability rating.
A year ago, 53% had a favorable opinion.
Today, 53% have an unfavorable, but among independents, 62% have an unhe's being linked to.
That's what I'm telling you.
I think the Limbaugh theorem is cracking.
And there's nobody happier about that than Limbaugh.
The Limbaugh theorem was a frustrating thing.
I mean, it was an accurate explanation of how Obama escaped accountability, how he was not linked to any of his policies by the people affected by them.
But that's apparently now cracking.
And with all of these disapproval numbers mounting, 23 points he's lost with Latinos.
He's losing points with the poor.
No, it's not just Obamacare with the Latinos.
It's lack of any movement on amnesty is sure they did.
Of course they believed him on amnesty.
By the way, I don't need to mean to pick nits here, but Obama has just ordered the flag at half mast for 10 days for Mandela.
He did not order the flag at half mast at all for Lady Thatcher.
U.S. flags at half mast for 10 days for Mandela.
Okay, let's see what else in addition to the he's having cracked the millennials, independents, the poor, Hispanics.
I mean, excuse me.
Where else are the poor going to go?
I don't know.
It doesn't matter to me.
The point is he's losing support even among the poor, and those are the people he's given everything to.
I mean, when it rains at poor, something has happened.
And the only way I can explain it is that the Limbaugh theorem is beginning to crack.
After five years, the excuse of, I didn't know the website wasn't ready.
You didn't build that.
I didn't know.
I don't think it's passing the smell test for anybody.
Let's see.
This is a repeat.
Oh, white women.
It's not over.
Temporary blip mirroring the nationwide souring in Obama and his big achievement are a more durable shift that threatens the Democrats in 2016.
What is it?
Kaiser polling.
You will see that among women generally, not just white women, support for Obamacare has cracked 50% exactly once over the past 44 months.
But support for Obamacare is now down sharply among white women.
It is plummeting.
And of course, they were one of the primary beneficiaries of this.
And it is, folks, it just, the bottom is falling out all over.
I don't know if it's permanent, temporary, or what have you, but the fact is it's happening and it will cause a reaction.
The regime will have to react to this.
Now, what I predict is going to happen with the millennials.
We spoke about it yesterday.
I think he'll probably try, he's going to have to buy these groups back.
That's what he does.
And with the millennials, he'll probably offer forgive student alone debt and tie that to Obamacare.
Go to healthcare.gov, sign up, sign your life away to us, and we'll forgive your student alone.
That's the addendum.
I made the prediction yesterday that he'd forgive the student alone today.
Well, even if the website isn't fixed, he'll associate: if you want to have your student alone forgiven, you sign up for Obamacare somewhere, healthcare.gov, wherever you have to go.
And if you can prove that you've done it, then we'll forgive your student alone.
I wouldn't be surprised at all.
Get this.
The regime is moving toward finalizing a rule that would give alternative energy farms a pass for killing bald and golden eagles for decades.
The regime is close to finalizing a rule for wind farms that will exempt them from any punishment for all of the eagles the windmills kill.
This from the environmental president.
So we could say that in order to save the environment, Obama must first destroy it.
In the name of a hoax, man-made global warming, a hoax.
Taxpayers have shelled out billions of dollars to prop up so-called wind farms.
What a joke.
Wind farms as a replacement for fossil fuels.
And these wind farms could also be called eagle choppers now because you know the number of debt.
Well, they are eagle choppers.
These eagles are, they don't know.
They go flying through.
They have no idea.
Their parents never told them about windmills because their parents never had a deal with windmills.
And they're being slaughtered.
We've seen stories for years detailing the hundreds of thousands of birds that have been killed by wind turbines and so forth.
And now the wind farmers have been granted an exemption for decades.
Doesn't matter.
The fact that the wind farms are killing the bald and golden eagle doesn't matter a hill of beans.
Back to the audio sound.
Let me swear what I want.
We mentioned earlier that Obama didn't know that he was living with his uncle, who happened to be an illegal alien at the time.
Here's Jake Carney.
This is yesterday afternoon in Washington, the White House.
At the daily briefing, Ed Henry, the Fox News White House correspondent, said, The White House said that in 2011 that there was no record of Obama and his uncle Omar Obama ever meeting.
Now the Boston Globe is being told by the White House, and I assume you can elaborate here, Jay, that in fact they not only met, but they lived together briefly when the president was in law school.
So how could you make that kind of mistake?
Folks looked at the record, including the president's book, and there was no evidence that they had met.
And that was what was conveyed.
Nobody spoke to the president.
When Omar Obama said the other day, and there were reports that he had said the other day, that President Obama, back when he was a law school student, had stayed with him in Cambridge.
I thought it was the right thing to do to go ask him.
Nobody had asked him in the past.
And the president said that he, in fact, had met Omar Obama when he moved to Cambridge for law school and that he stayed with him for a brief period of time until his, the president's apartment was ready.
Nobody asked Obama if he ever lived with his uncle.
They just took it upon themselves to lie for him.
And so Jay Carney, yes, well, folks looked at the record, including the president's book, and there was no evidence that he'd ever met his uncle.
Oh, so just because Obama didn't write about it in his book, I'm sorry, Bill Ayers didn't write about it in Obama's book.
By the way, do you really, if Bill Ayers wrote a children's book for Obama with a time-traveling horse, the horse's name would probably be redistribution, not liberty.
That's right.
And redistribution would be spreading it around.
All right, let what where do I keep the records in my house when I was like a college-age man?
Where do I keep the records of who I visited?
There aren't any.
I didn't keep any records of who I visited when I was a young man.
Right.
There were no records.
If the White House wanted to look at my records, they'd have to ask me.
They would have to ask me.
But the White House didn't ask Obama.
They just looked at the records and they didn't see any evidence that Obama.
Well, there aren't any records.
They're just making that up.
They said they looked at Obama's records.
They're like his college transcripts.
They looked at the same thing to see if Obama had ever studied with Uncle Omar.
And they couldn't find any evidence of that, so I assumed that he hadn't lived.
He didn't even know him.
But it's a good point.
So if the White House wanted to find out where you were when you were in college, would they look at the records that you've kept of who you visited?
And they did that, and they couldn't find any evidence in Obama's records that he even knew Uncle Omar, much less visited Uncle Omar.
That would be Omar Obama.
What do you mean they don't want to ask who?
Didn't want to ask who, Omar or Obama?
Why wouldn't they ask Obama if he knew his own uncle?
They didn't want to know whether Obama knew Omar.
It's a mundane detail anyway.
It's A, it's no different than Aunt Zatudi.
He wrote about Anne Zatudi in the book, but he didn't write about Uncle Omar.
He knew Anne Zatudi.
Anne Zatudi was also illegal.
And he even read Anne Zatouni, read about her in the audio version of his book that Bill Ayers wrote.
At least Ayers is saying so.
Don't go away.
By the way, just to make sure there isn't any confusion out there, Uncle Omar is Aunt Zatuti's brother.
But there's a lesson here, folks.
If you are Obama and you like your illegal alien uncle, you can keep your illegal alien uncle.
And your illegal alien aunt, too.
If you like your illegal alien aunt uncle, you can keep him if you're Obama.
Other people get deported.
So here's Obama.
He knows Anne Zatudi.
He writes about her.
He didn't know about Uncle Omar, who is Anne Zatudi's brother.
What a tangled web, intricately woven web of deceit.
By the way, Anne Zatudi has ignored several deportation orders.
And by the late 1980s, Uncle Omar was already ignoring a deportation order, which is a felony.
Anne Zatudi did the same thing.
I mean, Zatudi and Omar basically said, okay, kick us out.
But if you're Omar, how do you feel?
Obama says he didn't even know who you are while he knows who Zatuti is.
Look, we've all got our family problems.
It's like Ross Perot said, everybody's got the crazy aunt and the uncle in the basement.
Steve in Middleton, Colorado.
Great to have you, sir.
Thank you for waiting and welcome to EIB Network.
Hello.
Mega Dittos.
Thank you, sir.
Trying for 25 years to talk to you.
25 long years.
And here you are.
Here I am.
I really appreciate it.
That is effort.
That's commitment.
And basically, I'm talking about Obamacare today.
All right.
I wish the president would just stay off the air and go into his office, talk from his office to us if he has to, but be in his office and do some work and get off the TV.
He's working harder than anybody ever has on this.
I don't think so.
He has another distraction now, Mandela.
Now he has to go to South Africa probably next week.
He won't work for five or ten days.
I said the funeral for Mandela is on the 15th.
Did I see that right a week?
It's next Friday.
Next Friday, okay.
He'll be distracted.
You brought up something just a little bit ago about Obamacare.
And his uncle, his illegal uncle, his immigration problem uncle and aunt.
How are they going to get Obamacare?
Are you kidding?
How are they going to get Obamacare?
Yeah, they have no Social Security numbers, if that's correct.
The aunt and uncle, the president, I mean, they'll be treated if they need to be.
I understand that.
My friends can't get even.
I know.
I know you're asking facetiously.
What?
Now, seriously, you wish Obama would actually work on Obamacare instead of going on TV?
We'll fix this to get it done before the deadline on the 25th.
Do you think, seriously, seriously, Steve?
Seriously.
Do you think he cares?
He's supposed to.
He says he cares.
He told everybody yesterday he cared.
And they wanted them all to sign up.
And his liberal.
Well, let me, with all these people, remember what he did now.
He lied repeatedly, 39, 40 times to people all over the country.
You like your doctor, your policy, you can keep it.
And then people, cancellation after cancellation after cancellation.
If he really cared, Why not just broom this thing, cancel it, and start over and get it right?
That's what he should be doing, right?
Well, but he won't.
So why?
Why won't he just broom it and get it right?
Because he has a bureaucracy problem.
No, it's because this is what's right.
That's what's right.
I've been able to keep my plan for the last three or four years without any changes, just increasing my rates.
When I ask why my rates go up, they say your group is there.
I say, wait a second, you don't deserve a 13 or 14 percent raise this year.
But my plan hasn't changed.
Give it time.
It will.
Well.
Everybody's plan is going to change.
You don't have to.
You don't need insurance for contraceptives, do you?
No.
Well.
But I still have it on there.
And I have maternity on there, and I haven't had it for 30 years.
You've been paying for maternity coverage for 30 years?
Yes, as long as I can remember.
Well, Obama ought to love you.
And I've been playing, and I know about the government systems because I've been in the government systems.
Well, then you know you're going to get canceled at some point.
Not really, because now they can't do that because I've still.
Well, then why does Obama have to go to?
It seems like it's working for you.
You don't have a complaint.
Well, my friends have the problem.
Oh.
Oh, buddies of mine that I coach can't even get Obamacare.
They have to work two jobs.
He's done.
He's been working 29 hours a day.
He's done the work.
The work is done.
He's on to other things now.
Mike in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Great to have you on the program, sir.
Open Line Friday.
Hello.
Hi.
It's great to have you on the EIB Rush.
Thank you, sir, very much.
Yes, sir.
I'm a former low-information voter, born of a braggadocious man.
You are a former low-information voter born of a braggadocious man.
Braggadocia.
Braggadocia, Missouri, not too far from Cape Girardo.
Braggadocia, Missouri, not far from Cape Girardeau?
Yes, it's pretty small.
It's pretty small.
I thought you might know it, but it's okay.
I don't.
How far from Cape Girardeau is it?
It's down the river a little bit, down near Carruthersville.
Carruthersville?
How long would it take you to get there in the ice storm today?
No, I'm not heading up there.
Real quick, then I'll let you go.
I think the Limbaugh theory is, you've been saying it's cracking.
I think it's totally debunked, sir.
And I say this because every time I hear Nancy Pelosi or anyone on the left no longer referring to Obamacare as Obamacare, but the ACA or the Affordable Care Act, I think they're trying to separate Obama from this health care law.
Well, now that is a good point.
I don't know that it necessarily means the limbaugh theorem is totally cracked, but you are exactly right.
It has become such a negative that they are trying to take the name Obama off of it.
You're exactly right.
Absolutely.
So your theory is, you know, it's being proven time and time again.
So when do you call it a fact?
I think it's a fact.
You see these poll numbers going down.
That's a fact.
Why?
Because he's actually being related to laws that are being enacted and hurting the population.
Exactly.
He is being held accountable for being linked.
Yes, people are now linking him to these policies and these negative things that are happening.
Exactly.
And that's why you very wisely came up with your theory because there had to be an explanation.
Well, I'm glad that you liked it.
I'm glad you accepted it.
You know, something else is happening, too, folks.
And we had a caller about this three weeks ago.
If you remember, her point was that the reality is people have felt negatively towards Obama for a long time, but have been afraid to say so.
Because most people, she said, do not want to be called racist, don't even want to be thought of it.
So just shut up.
And they don't want to be involved in controversy.
They're made nervous by it.
They just don't want to cause any ruffles.
They don't want to get, they're afraid of being noticed as somebody who opposes Obama.
They are afraid or were afraid of the government.
They would retreat to the bathroom like they used to do in the old Soviet Union to tell each other the truth, figuring nobody would overhear them there.
But she said now it's almost, it's okay now.
It's not fashionable yet, but close to it, it's permissible now to link Obama to all of these failures.
And all it took was a couple of icebreakers.
And I think she has a point because I really think the floodgates have opened now.
And you look at the unemployment news that the regime put out today.
All these brand new jobs.
Never mind that almost half of them are government jobs.
They're trying to say the economy's roaring back now, real job creation, all kinds of new people re-entering the labor force, but it's not changing anybody's, and it won't change anybody's attitude about the direction of the country.
It isn't enough.
I don't think people believe it.
They're not living it.
They're not living an economic recovery.
And therefore, they can be, it's different now.
They could be told back in the days where the Limbaugh theorem was actively in play, when Obama was not linked, they could be told the economy was going well.
And even if it wasn't for them, they would assume it was for other people and therefore it was real.
Well, now they're living it.
It isn't recovering for anybody.
And they see it, and they're not swayed by a standalone news item today.
And then, in addition to all this new news about brand new jobs and new people in the labor force, at the other end of the scale, the Democrats are still demanding another year of emergency unemployment benefits.
Now, why?
Why do you need to extend and expand unemployment benefits if massive numbers of people are getting jobs all of a sudden?
So there's all kinds of conflicting things.
And I'll tell you something else.
What has happened, and it always does, if you're just patient, media idolatry, slavish media devotion will always come back and bite the beneficiaries of that.
And the way that manifests itself, I think, and I don't mean to sound or portray the American people as callous and unfeeling, but you take the attention that the media is giving and the time they're spending on the death of Mandela, it's way,
way out of proportion to what's really going on in people's lives and what they're scared about and what matters to them.
And that you add that to the mix, and it just helps people to conclude that they're out of touch, the media, that this is not what's important.
This doesn't matter to me.
That's not going to change my life.
Even if I deeply care and I'm worried about Mandela's death and I'm saddened by it, isn't going to change anything.
And the media is spending all this attention attempting to guilt people into joining them.
I think that there's enough of this backfires.
And if that's not the explanation for this, so be it.
There is something else that explains it because it is real.
This is not just one poll or two.
It's been a series of polls the past two to three months that show the bottom falling out of Obama and the regime.
And he doesn't know what to do to fix it other than to try to buy people with a new government giveaway or another speech.
And not much more he can do.
When people see, when people live, when people are victimized by the lies of Obamacare in person, when it happens, they're not going to believe the lies of government numbers, which show something else.
I mean, here they're being personally deeply harmed by Obamacare.
And over here, there's great news about the economy.
Hell with that?
They're not going to buy it.
Quick time out.
Don't go away.
We'll be right back.
Get this.
This is economic news from CBS.
One-third of bank tellers rely on public assistance.
Bank tellers.
They get Medicaid, food stamps.
This according to the Financial Industry Employee Advocacy Group, research in the University of California, Berkeley.
Bank tellers.
Who would have thought one third?
Didn't Obama claim that the ATM was a job killer?
Hell, now he's not.
Didn't he do that?
Folks, I mentioned earlier that I wanted to share with you some of the mail the characters in Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrims are giving, because they melt your heart.
And I've just got a couple.
Here's one from Katie.
This fan mail is actually to Mr. William Bradford.
Mr. Bradford, when I was in high school a decade ago, I only knew you as a distant name, a faceless man with no personality who did some boring things that my history book thought important enough to write about.
After meeting you through this book, my eyes have been opened drastically.
You, sir, were the true definition of a man, a patriot, an example of hard work, unwavering faith, rugged individualism.
I had no idea that you left behind your son, nor did I know you lost your wife.
I didn't know what a remarkable leader you were, something this country and its decaying culture know little of anymore.
And most importantly, you revered God.
And as a result, you revered duty and perseverance.
In fact, you remind me of my own husband, one of the few true leaders left in the country.
In a nutshell, Mr. Bradford, I'm honored to have truly met you.
Thank you for not giving up.
Now, she was in high school 10 years ago and never knew the truth.
And William Bradford is who wrote the actual real history of the Pilgrim, the first Thanksgiving.
And I wasn't taught about William Bradford either.
So it's not surprising.
Let's see.
We even got a horse, wrote a fan letter to Liberty, a horse named Elmo.
Dear Liberty, my person told me about you and your abilities and adventures.
Sounds like a good life, except the food availability.
I'm a former cavalry mount.
It was interesting, but loud at times.
Next trip you guys go on, how about late June 1776 or November 1863?
Your fan, Elmo.
And there was a picture of Elmo grazing in a pasture who had sent the letter to Liberty.
And of course, Liberty wrote back, Dear Rush Revere, I want to thank you for taking Liberty back to the day of the Pilgrims.
Okay, I know Liberty takes you.
Tell him to settle down.
My ex-mother-in-law's ancestors were on the Mayflower.
Thomas Rogers signed the Mayflower Compact, page 106 of your book, Fourth Name, Third Column.
He died shortly after they landed, and his son Joseph lived with Governor Bradford.
I ordered your book to give my grandson along with the information about his Mayflower ancestors for his 14th birthday later this month.
Having read it, as soon as I got it on Thursday, I can guarantee that he will love it.
Book like this brings history to life far better than a grandmother can telling stories at the Thanksgiving Day table.
And they are, they're just rolling.
I tell you, folks, it's really heartwarming.
And I just wanted just a few of these things.
I won't overdo it, but I wanted to thank you so much for taking the time.
And if you want to send one of the characters a fan letter, you can do so at 2ifbyt.com at the Adventures of Rush Revere portal.
Let's see, Jim in Portland, Oregon.
Great to have you on the program, sir.
Hello.
How are you?
Very good, sir.
How are you?
Good.
Glad you called.
Yeah, I got a question.
You talked a little while ago about windmills.
Well, I'm a pilot car, and I haul windmills all over the country.
And the question was, they're griping about all the eagles.
And yes, I am sorry for the eagles that are being killed by the windmills.
But they don't tell you about all the eagles that are killed by cars, trucks, just by driving along the road while the eagles are down eating their dinner.
You know, and they don't even talk about that.
Or the ones that are in the airports are, you know, sucked under the jets and everything like that.
It's just kind of interesting that all of a sudden they were all for the windmills, and now these guys are against them because they're hurting the eagles.
All of a sudden, they're all for, I didn't hear all of what you said.
Well, the green people have always been for the windmills, you know, and they're not.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
And now they're against them because they're hurting the eagles.
But they're not talking about the cars and the drugs.
No, no, no, no, no.
That's the point.
The green people are not upset about the eagles being killed by the windmills.
Now, if they get sucked into a jet engine, we got to ground the jets.
If Obama's motorcade runs over an eagle, as you said, then we're not going to ground Obama's motorcade.
If some hunter drives by and shoots one, we'll put the hunter in jail.
But if a windmill kills an eagle, tough toenails for the eagle.
That was the whole point.
Glad you called.
I got to take a quick timeout back after this.
Sadly, my friends, we are out of precious broadcast moments.
The busy broadcast now comes to a screeching halt for the weekend.
I hope you have a great one, and we'll be back Monday, revved up and ready to do it all again.
Whatever happens over the weekend, don't worry about it, folks.
We'll keep track of it.
And whatever happens, tell you what happened as a bonus.
We'll tell you what to think about it.
If you're here Monday, see you then.
